Forty books later, I've made another set of this fanfic by @theaguanzon, which does the best job of capturing how it felt to be 13 and reading Star Wars books in the 2000s. This set is a collaboration between myself and @selunchen, who did an amazing job illustrating the covers!

(The covers are inspired by an iconic Star Wars teaser poster. Do you know which one?)

This bind incorporates all the new techniques I've picked up over 2.5 years in this hobby. I foiled the line art on veg tan goat leather from Siegel, and there are Crepaldi endpapers and bookmark charms from @afterblossom.

The maps are based on Legends maps designed by Dan Wallace, Jason Fry, Chris Barbieri, and James Luceno. I revamped the typeset and painted the edges with a galaxy splatter pattern, and this bind is also rounded and backed.

So glad that there are saved copies of Landscape with a Blur of Conquerors, because I forgot about a lot of the early scenes and bits of dialogue that made it into the published book.

And even as long as the fanfic is, the pacing doesn't drag on. At least not so far (I'm only in chapter 11). I read it once before and it's been years, so I don't clearly remember most of it. Definitely a fun reread after reading Hurricane Wars.

Years ago, back when this book had a different title, different characters and held a special place in the massive, beautiful & talented Reylo corner on AO3, I would obsessively refresh my email in hopes of an update. If you’ve read LWABOC, you know what I’m talking about. It was (and still is, because nothing will ever top it) THE Reylo fic.

I just received my (Kindle) copy of @theaguanzon’s The Hurricane Wars (the physical copy will be here around the end of October and I simply couldn’t wait that long, I don’t even know how I managed to wait the 9 days that have passed since the US edition) and am feeling especially proud of all the rats 🐀🩵

(This will become my entire personality for the foreseeable future)

Last year I read Landscape with a Blur of Conquers by @therestofyourstory (née disasterisms/kylorenvevo) and designed this cover using a painting by Thomas Cole

LWABOC was the most incredible fanwork I've ever read, and while I miss it, I'm so excited and proud that it's being turned into a real life, original, three book series. I can't wait to see what LWABOC has blossomed into!

The thing about rereading Landscape with a Blur of Conquerors after reading Hurricane Wars is that my mental images keep getting mixed up. It's startling every time the text reminds me that we're dealing with multiple planets, not a cluster of islands, and spaceships rather than airships, lol

Thea turned the fic you’re referring into a piece of published fiction (I THINK it’s title is the hurricane wars??)so that’s why it got taken down 😭 I miss it but at least it’s cool she’ll get financial support from how cool it is

Hi! Yes I know, I was also wondering why it was deleted and found out it's being turned into a unique 3-book series, which is honestly what the author deserves and more! Thankfully, I've been able to find the epub on reddit lol. But yeah, I wish I could read all its comments on ao3 because now it's like, where's the fandom for this fic specifically? 😭
