Magickal tools
Charms, amulets, and talismans are objects that are believed to possess magical or mystical properties and are often used for protection or to bring good luck.
While the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, they have slightly different meanings:
Charms: A charm is an object that is believed to have magical power to protect the wearer from harm or to bring good luck. Charms are often worn as jewelry, such as a necklace or bracelet, and may be made from a variety of materials, including metal, stone, or wood. Examples of charms include a four-leaf clover, a horseshoe, or a rabbit's foot.
Amulets: An amulet is also an object that is believed to have magical power, but it is typically worn or carried for the purpose of protecting the wearer from evil or harm. Amulets are often made from materials that are believed to have protective properties, such as certain stones, metals, or herbs. Examples of amulets include a crystal pendant, a piece of amber, or a protective talisman.
Talismans: A talisman is an object that is believed to have magical power to bring good fortune or to achieve a specific goal. Talismans are often created for a specific purpose, such as attracting love, wealth, or success. They may be made from a variety of materials, such as precious stones, herbs, or metals, and may be worn or carried as a reminder of the desired outcome. Examples of talismans include a lucky coin, a mojo bag, or a sigil.
In summary, while charms, amulets, and talismans are all believed to have mystical properties, they have different purposes and uses. Charms are worn for good luck, amulets for protection, and talismans for achieving specific goals or desires.

This is custom set of Spirit Chimes I was commissioned for.
They were created using:
A moss-stained Stag scapula,
Twelve small, Balkan Hagstones,
& Four Doe ribs, ceremonially reddened with a mixture of Dragon’s Blood, Madder Root, and Ochre.
All of this was then bound together using copper connecting components, strung up using a ritually-knotted cord, and consecrated on behalf of the client.

if crystals/stones have no value than does anything else? is my athame just for aesthetic or is it an extension of my arm, furthering my magic? does hades truly love this obsidian or does he think “o. cool.”?
I cannot tell you what a god does or does not think, but I can tell you that one can conduct an orchestra with or without a baton.

The start of a little collection. I was lucky enough to get this reclaimed rosewood stave from @lailoken, which was stained and varnished with dragons blood before a fumigation of rose and myrrh. The other is a hiking stick I found offered by a little shop that normally does far more standard designs, made from an antique rake and and old brass furniture leg.
The rosewood stave will be taking on a more ritual purpose, while the other is mostly used to make me look like the most powerful wizard at any given campground or festival.

I've recently started watching Sandman on Netflix. It's a fascinating show based off the comic book of the same name and in one of the episodes the character of Morpheus learns a lesson about magical tools and the sense of self and power that all of us have access to, but that we sometimes give away.
In the show Morpheus has three tools that are assigned to his office. One of those tools is a ruby, another is his bag of sand and another is his crown. Each of these tools has specific purposes and functions assigned to them, which allow Morpheus to do his job.

I'm planning on making a round of rosaries to sell my on my shop, since all but one are sold out at this point, and I have been thinking for a while I'd like to make a set of devotional beads that are dedicated to specific deities, spiritual traditions, or even concepts. As such, I'm curious to know what sorts of devotional beads people would be interested in seeing!
So, if you'd like to, reblog this with one or more types of devotional beads you think I should make and sell! Examples include things like 'a Rosary dedicated to Loki', 'a Rosary dedicated to ancestral worship', or 'a Rosary dedicated to the powers of Water'. Anything goes, so feel free to be as specific as you'd like! I guarantee to look at every single suggestion, and I will more than likely end up creating some of them in the end. :~)

Blossom to Beauty
Fragile layers belie a storm within, A flower's essence, its soul in ravaging spin. In shared breath we find unity's embrace, A scent that flows outward, connecting every space.
Wear the world with this emblem, and give yourself the grace to walk in beauty.
