Bubby dad moments but like if he found Benrey as a baby. Black Mesa seeing their top prototype handling a child, are impressed by his " natural parental instincts" and ask if he is up to the task of taking care of it.
Bubby wanting nothing more then to prove himself, immediately agrees to being the babies caretaker going " Honestly how hard can taking care of this thing be?"
Turns out....it's really really hard. Especially when your baby isn't a human baby like the ones you've been taught about. It won't stop crying, it won't eat, it keeps spitting up weird colors, and the little claws digging into him hurt like hell.
He's tried everything from soothing lullabies to aromatherapy. The kid won't eat anything it's given ( baby food provides by Dr.Coomer) and absolutely refuses to let Bubby go for a moment, the last time he handed off the kid to Harold it nearly blew both their ears drums out.
He's at his wits end by the sixth day, ready to throw in the towel. But the anxiety of what Black Mesa might do to the kid kept him from turning it over. He stared down at it as it cried it's weird inky black tears. He lightly strokes it's cheek letting the little hand grab his finger and hold on tightly. His baby opened it's strange cat like eyes to stare at him, looking so frightened and confused. No...he couldn't let Black Mesa take this one away, he'd just have to push through.
It's already passed four and he's so tired. He carefully stands and turns the lights down low in his small room. His baby's cries has quieted down somewhat, maybe it's getting tired too. He sits back onto his bed slowly rocking the child back and forth humming an off key lullaby. To his surprises the cries die down to soft hiccups, the black and red bubbles shift into a softer blues. He looks down at the baby who's staring right back with tired eyes. Carefully he grabs a bottle from the night stand, thankfully still warm.
He bites back a triumphant shout when they actually start eating, little hands coming up to rest on his. His heart swells as his baby's eyes slip closed falling asleep in his arms. Harold was going to loose his mind when Bubby tells him about how he got the kid to sleep-- He should really given it a name.
Bernard, Skylar, Sarah, Hannah, Benjamin, Henry?
Oh he liked Benrey....no wait that isn't a name. God he's so tired. He'll think of one in the morning. He gets comfortable as he lets his eyes slip shut for what feels like the first time in years.
Yeah taking care of a baby isn't that hard...

The Grand #5-10-30
Last fall, Kane and I had two Frontier flight vouchers burning a hole in our pockets.
Also that fall, we celebrated being together for a decade. And then I turned 30 in December. April is Kane’s 30th birthday. And May is our fifth wedding anniversary.
And, for the past five years, we had exclusively used our vacation days for traveling to see family during the holidays and weddings. We were not only ready to celebrate but extremely ready for a vacation, and ready to do it up big.
Enter what my social-media-eschewing husband has persistently referred to as the #5-10-30 trip (yes I know there are no hyphens in real hashtags, but here we are), and he did so persistently enough that I too eventually broke down and also called it The 5-10-30.
Direct Frontier flights from Philadelphia narrowed our options considerably, and we wanted to pick somewhere we’d never been, so Denver it was. My parents very generously offered to watch Russ in Pennsylvania for a week, and after lots of research and planning, that’s how the best vacation Kane and I have ever had, or shall I say, The #5-10-30 Trip, materialized.
We rented a 2019 Nissan Rogue and basically did a loop beginning and ending in Denver. I kept a detailed journal of the trip, but I’ll spare you the less-thrilling details and share the highlights:
Day 1: Afternoon/evening in Denver
Tumblr media
(^Ready for takeoff to Denver!)
Great AirBnB cottage in the LoHi neighborhood. After meeting us, our host ran into her house to bring us her own nice bottle of tequila, limes and shot glasses to start off our trip on a celebratory note. Cheers!
Speaking of cheers, we recommend the Recess Beer Garden, where we watched Virginia win the national title.
Day 2: Denver/Colorado Springs
We kicked breakfast off at Bacon Social House with a flight of bacon. And because we’re corny, we gave serious thought to ranking the six bacon styles (French toast was my fav, barbecue was Kane’s). Scissors for sharing the slices were included.
Tumblr media
Next up: Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. The red rock formations were breathtaking, and we’re glad we went to the visitor’s center for info on hiking trails. Great views of both Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak.
Tumblr media
Another fantastic AirBnB in Old Colorado City, and delicious dinner — just say yes to the brisket grilled cheese and lamb sliders — outside at Cerberus Brewing Company while watching the sun set behind the Rockies.
Day 3: Colorado Springs
We spent much of this day in the earth.
First stop was Cave of the Winds. Holy cow, do the Lantern Tour if you can. Our self-described hippie tour-guide, John, thoroughly scared us before we even began, warning us of having to walk crouched low for a couple of minutes through under-4-foot-high tunnels, that we’d only be walking by the light of candle-lit lanterns (hence the name Lantern Tour) and that we were about to enter the supposedly most haunted caverns in North America. It’s not a tour for the faint of heart (nor the arthritic). Learned the history of the 19th-century pioneers who took ownership of the caves and held exotic parties in them, and of course there was a generous helping of spooky ghost stories.
Tumblr media
(^Our only photo in the cave before the tour began-- not the kind of setting to take a selfie!)
Back in the sunlight, we had lunch at Ivywild School, an elementary school-turned community center/local business spot/brewery.
Dinner in downtown Colorado Springs at The Rabbit Hole, also underground. We did actually try rabbit with the Bunny Bites appetizer… a drier, leaner version of chicken nuggets.
Day 4: Cañon City/Nathrop
Spent the day at the Royal Gorge in Cañon City. The gondola ride across was slightly panic-inducing, but offered amazing views; informative short movie about the Gorge in onsite theater; then walks across America’s tallest suspension bridge. The gaps between some of the wooden planks of the floor allowed you to see all the way to the Arkansas River flowing below. YIKES. Of course Kane insisted we really feel “fully alive,” and so we were the only ones nutty enough to go back and forth several more times in the wind. Don’t worry, I felt super-alive, and thankfully, remained in such a state.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Spectacular mountain drive along Route 50 to Nathrop, where we checked in at the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort. It’s in the San Isabel National Forest.
Tumblr media
(^Serious room with a view.)
That evening we donned bathing suits in 30-something degree weather to recline in the hot springs of Chalk Creek. We laid our heads on rocks, stared at the stars and crescent moon overhead and enjoyed deep conversation that also included momentarily pretending we were contestants on The Bachelor, because it was such an over-the-top date, and I assured Kane I was most certainly there for the right reasons.
Day 5: Nathrop/Breckenridge
Hot springs again in the bright morning sunshine before driving to Breckenridge, which was a little insane with hairpin turns up and down mountains. We drove through Alma, North America’s highest incorporated town, and were relieved to make it to our AirBnB. Then: A scrumptious sushi lunch downtown at The Blue Fish and perusing the town’s many shops.
Tumblr media
We called up the Lost Bus, owned and operated by the Broken Compass Brewing, which picks up people for free from downtown Breckenridge to its brewery site a few miles away. This was my favorite brewery of the trip! Fantastic craft beers and great local vibe.
Then we walked about half a mile down the road to Flight Club for food. It was an extremely local experience (complete with a guy glass-blowing pipes next to the bar!) and even featured a local battle-of-the-bands winner, Hollywood Farmers, who were actually quite talented.
Tumblr media
(^My view from the bar. Just some casual glass-blowing, dudes.)
Day 6: Boulder
A crazy drive to Boulder on Route 70 with foggy snow showers. But we made it in one piece to Chautauqua Park and hiked around the Flatirons on the Enchanted Mesa Trail and loved it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lunched at Roxie’s Tacos, where they served amazing Mexican-Indian fusion in the lovely campus area of CU-Boulder, then drove to the Celestial Seasonings headquarters for a free tea tour and samples. A highlight was the peppermint room! Free aromatherapy.
Tumblr media
Checked into a Courtyard Marriott and ate at Avery Brewing Company.
Day 7: Boulder/Denver
Amazing breakfast at Lucile’s in adorable downtown Boulder. Walked around Pearl Street Mall, where the tulip beds were in bloom. If I had to choose one of the places we visited to move, I’d pick Boulder!
Tumblr media
Drove back to Denver and attended a beautiful Palm Sunday Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Proceeded to a tour of the Molly Brown House. Loved learning her incredible story: a rags-to-riches miner’s wife, Titanic survivor, philanthropist, winner of French Legion of Honor… Google her if you have time!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On to Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey for a delightful distillery tour. We learned how it was made and aged and also how to properly drink whiskey. Not sure I’m a converted whiskey-drinker, but loved every minute of the tour.
Tumblr media
We ended our trip where we began, in the LoHi neighborhood, at a fantastic Mediterranean tapas restaurant called El Five. We sat outside overlooking the Denver skyline and the Rockies before catching a red-eye home. It was the perfect way to punctuate a pretty near-perfect trip.
Tumblr media
(^Dinner view. Until we meet again, Colorado!)

. . #regianeivanski #decoração #organização #dica #casa #home #homesweethome #aromaterapia #instadecor #decor #aromatherapy #love #vidasaudável https://www.instagram.com/p/B2SeGwvAORw/?igshid=18mgmqo7p20yx

DESTINATIONS: PHOENIX/TEMPE
By Joey Amato
Tumblr media
The last time I was in the Phoenix area was 2005, so when I was offered a chance to visit the city again, I jumped at the opportunity, especially since this trip would coincide with Phoenix Pride. The temperature in the spring and fall is quite tolerable and enjoyable, so I would plan your vacation during those seasons, unless you are an avid heat seeker.
I really didn't recognize any part of the city, so jumping on a pedal cab for a quick tour of downtown was the best way to orient myself. I met up with my friend Josh Rimer aka Mr. Gay Canada, and we were on our way! Our wonderful tour guide Billy was a hoot. He knew everything about every nook and cranny of the city from the history of buildings to the meaning of some of the city's most iconic murals. He knew we were in town for gay pride, so he included some information about the city's LGBTQ history and culture.
Before checking in to our hotel, we stopped for lunch at The Churchill, a locally owned community-driven gathering spot in the heart of the Roosevelt Row neighborhood. Ten small businesses surround an open-air courtyard intended for dining, drinking and socializing. The space hosts a variety of speakers, art events, and fitness classes throughout the year.
Tumblr media
If you're craving a bit of luxury, check into the magnificent Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. It's one of the most LGBTQ-friendly resorts in the region and is set against the picturesque McDowell Mountain range. The sprawling Southwestern-style complex features 750 guest rooms, six heated pools, and a 44,000 square-foot Well & Being Spa. Spa culture is big in Scottsdale, with many properties offering unique treatments highlighting their natural surroundings. The Phoenician offers a wonderful Body & Soul treatment that is not to be missed.
Speaking of spas, we ventured off the beaten path to explore another renowned spa resort called CIVANA. Traveling can be fun, but also stressful, so I chose a relaxing treatment combining 10 different aromatherapy blends. While at CIVANA, take part in a sound bath class, where an instructor creates vibrations using singing bowls made from various healing crystals. All you need to do is relax while the sounds melt your worries away.
For the adventurous type, try aerial yoga. This is not your run of the mill yoga. In fact, it wasn't relaxing at all. It was more like a Cirque du Soleil training camp. I tried my hardest to keep myself balanced while suspended in mid-air by nothing but cloth. Of course, my fearless instructor made me go upside down and swing from side to side while a flimsy sheet was supposed to support me. After I got over my fear, I enjoyed the class. The entire experience was fun, but more of an upper body workout than a yoga class.
Tumblr media
While in Phoenix, visit the Desert Botanical Garden, a collection of more than 50,000 arid plants gathered from deserts from around the globe. We recommend visiting when the garden first opens to avoid the scorching heat. The Garden also offers evening tours which, although we didn't get to experience, we heard were a great way to view the property.
Not too far away is the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) which displays a collection of 6,800 instruments from 200 countries and territories. Most of the displays are enhanced by audio and video technologies that allow guests to see the instruments, hear their sounds, and observe them being played. During our visit, the MIM featured a special exhibit on Arizona native and rock legend Alice Cooper.
All this touring got us thirsty, so it was time for some cocktails. Since we landed in Phoenix, all we kept hearing about was a place called The UnderTow. But after I said I needed to research it, people told me not to, and just go. Guests enter The UnderTow through Sip Coffee & Beer Garage, which happens to be a converted Jiffy Lube. The downstairs area – where mechanics worked on vehicles – has been transformed into a subterranean tiki bar complete with sound and visual effects that made guests feel as if they were stranded in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Not to be outdone by the décor, the bartenders know how to make one hell of a cocktail.
Tumblr media
After drinks, it was time to celebrate Pride. Phoenix Pride is one of the first festivals to kick off pride season and attracts over 40,000 revelers during the two-day festival and parade. This year's festival featured headlining performances from Ada Vox, Kim Petras and JoJo.
The bars came alive after Pride, as in most cities. We didn't get to experience many that night due to immense crowds, but we did visit Stacy's @ Melrose, and got to meet Stacy himself. Next time around, I would love to swing by Charlie's and Kobalt to get a feel for the local LGBTQ community.
The next day, it was time to explore Tempe and the first item on the agenda was a pop-up art experience called The Scene. The Instagramable paradise featured 11 uniquely designed rooms ranging from a disco room to a bathtub surrounded by rubber ducks and a glow-in-the-dark slinky room. The owners of the exhibition are from Tempe and plan to bring the exhibition on tour. If it comes to your city, make sure to check it out. It's a fun place for both kids and adults to explore and work on your selfie-taking skills.
Tumblr media
While downtown Phoenix has a corporate feel, downtown Tempe definitely has a collegiate vibe, due mostly to the presence of Arizona State University. College students are seen parading around the city on bikes and scooters past rows of rainbow flags and a giant rainbow chair in the heart of downtown which the city installed to celebrate gay pride. The city doesn't have any gay bars or clubs, but locals are quick to let you know that every bar in Tempe is welcoming to the LGBTQ community.
In the center of the city is A Mountain… as in the letter A, which is prominently displayed on the side of the mountain. To get the best view of the city, hike to the top in the early morning. For the perfect sunset view, try an evening hike. Bring lots of water as the hike looks deceivingly easy from the street level, but as you begin to ascend, grows extremely challenging especially as you begin to navigate the sharp rock formations towards the top of the mountain.
For dinner, head to Culinary Dropout, a trendy gastro-pub in downtown popular among the college crowd, which specializes in craft cocktails and delicious, reasonably priced cuisine. Start off the meal with an order of Soft Pretzels with Provolone Fondue and Prosciutto Deviled Eggs. I would also recommend trying the Ma… the Meatloaf and Rainbow Trout, which is served with green beans, toasted almonds, and caramelized shallots. The staff at Culinary Dropout is also very easy on the eyes, so I think you'll enjoy this place.
Tumblr media
After dinner, check in to the Moxy, a Marriott branded hotel designed with the millennial traveler in mind. Instead of a stuffy reception desk, guests at the Moxy are greeted by a reception area that also doubles as a bar. The hotel lobby contains an oversized Jenga game, pool table, foosball table and two arcade pinball machines in addition to many cool seating areas where guests can gather. Tempe was the first city in the United States to open a Moxy and it has become a favorite among visitors.
There is so much to do in both Phoenix and Tempe, I recommend a minimum of a week to explore the cities and maybe even take a day trip to Mesa or Sedona. Whichever season you decide to travel in, you will have a blast.
Enjoy the journey!

Tampa Body Massage: wine therapy beyond a beauty section

Wine therapy beyond a beauty section
The Wine therapy is an alternative to cosmetic chemistry using only the juice of the vine and massages. Among its benefits are being a rejuvenating elixir, but also has important therapeutic effects as we will see in this post.
If we look at the history of this fruit we know that in ancient Greece they used it to fight diseases of the body and spirit, in the Middle Ages as a complement to other herbs for wound healing and still today we continue to use it and learn from their Powerful benefits through massages.
The secret of its power resides in the antioxidant properties of this fruit that turn it into a natural medicine to fight concretely against the effects of aging. Thus, combating free radicals rescues the vitality of the cells and rejuvenates the skin, giving it hydration and elasticity, which it loses over the years.

Renewing Your Focus
In a recent email that I received, a woman wanted to share with me her experience with one of doTERRA’s essential oils in particular. The oil is Forgive, our Renewing blend. Pain Management with Alternative  Therapies
We’re heavily dependent on medical treatment for pain management. The use of drugs and surgery has become very common method to treat pain. In the short run, it may be helpful. But in the long run, it may have terrible side effects. Is there any other way to manage pain? This is where alternative therapies come in.
Alternative therapies refer to procedures which can be used as a substitute to treat medical problems instead of conventional medicine. A variety of disciplines fall into this category such as acupuncture, guided imagery, chiropractic treatment, yoga, hypnosis, biofeedback, aromatherapy, relaxation, herbal remedies, massage, and many others.
Let’s look into some of these therapies.
Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a practice which attempts to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal issues. It claims to be effective for treating and adjusting the neck, spine, joints and other parts of the body. Chiropractic care focuses on helping the body to function. It attempts to align the spine properly allowing nerves to operate correctly, allowing all parts of the body to heal faster and function better. It also works on the muscles to reduce uneven pulls across body.
Acupuncture
It’s an effective method to manage to pain. It decreases pain by increasing the release of chemicals that block pain, called endomorphin.
It deals with many issues such as- headaches, low back pain, menstrual cramps, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, and myofascial pain.
Dietary Approaches to Treating Pain
Diet can affect health conditions. Vegetarian diets were found to be helpful for many people according to a study. Weight loss increased physical activities and this helps people suffering from osteoarthritis.
Herbal Remedies
The effectiveness of herbs have been questioned overtime. However, a lot of people using herbs have found benefits. It’s natural and organic which boosts the body’s state.
Yoga
Yoga is an effective method of managing pain for many. It pulls the body and uses many of its unused muscles. Allowing it to stay fit and function properly. It stimulates the body while keeping the mind calm. It’s a very popular method of alternative treatment which many people have found effective.
Nutrition Supplements
Some studies have found nutrition supplements to be very helpful in managing pain. While other studies couldn’t establish the claim.  Some dietary supplements were found useful however.
Some of these alternative methods might be effective for some people and having you asking “who is the top chiropractor Mesa, AZ?”. However, it may not be effective for everyone. These methods should be followed according to individual needs.  So consulting a doctor is also recommended. However, alternative treatments can play a big role in dealing with pain management.
