Mari wears Chat Merch fic

Originally posted under this post by @glockenzspiel, figured I may as well dedicate its own. Not a fanfic writer but I like writing, and I was feeling inspired XD Disclaimer: only watched a few eps of MLB but really wanna get into it. Most of my knowledge has been absorbed through tumblr and osmosis. Make a lot of assumptions based on y'all and your reactions, so there is the slightest of angst re: the most recent season where Chat feels like Ladybug is replacing him. I also yadda yadda past the reveal bc don't wanna touch that with my limited knowledge. But anyway! Enjoy!

2k+ words. Oneshot. About that one black tshirt with a new green paw print on it that apparently yall have collectively decided Marinette owns. Otherwise mostly wholesome.

Chat’s eyes were brighter than usual.

Ladybug watched in bemusement as he came screeching to a halt on their way back from another successful mission, and stood in front of a little street stall. The stall owner seemed to have fled to safety during the last akuma attack.

It was covered top to bottom in Chat Noir merchandise.

This wasn’t an unusual sight. There were dozens of Chat Noir-specific merch vendors all over the city. There were just as many Ladybug stalls. There were even whole department store sections dedicated to celebrating the resident heroes of Paris.

“This is so cool!” Chat gushes, his eyes glowing a vibrant green, hands clutching at a black shirt. Ladybug peered around him and noticed the black t-shirt had a single neon green paw print in the centre. She raised an eyebrow.

“Really, kitty? There’s probably a dozen like it” she chuckled, as he whirled around with a mock offended look on his face.

“How can you not appreciate how incredible this design is, milady?!” he argued as she smirked at him. “The simplicity yet sophistication. It’s bold but understated!” He waved the shirt around but she merely blinked at it. He pouted at her lack of enthusiasm.

“Bet Marinette would appreciate this” he grumbled, fingering the material.

“What was that?” Ladybug tilted her head, not having heard him. Chat’s ears twitched as he glanced back at her. “…I was saying it’s a shame you don’t realise how awesome this shirt is!” he finally said, thrusting the shirt into her face.

“Like it that much?” she giggled, gently pushing it away. His jaw clenched with playful stubbornness.

“Do you know what this says, LB?” he crooked a brow.

“What does it say, Chat?” she indulged him.

“It says, ‘I am a Chat Noir fan 100%’” he whispered dramatically. He leaned back with a bright grin. “I wonder if I could just leave some money and take this?” he mumbled to himself.

Ladybug burst out laughing.

Later, Marinette was driving around, running some deliveries on her scooter when she passed by the stall she had visited earlier that day.

There was still a stack of those Chat Noir shirts, but now with a bored vendor tending to the stall.

She couldn’t help but giggle, remembering how delighted Chat had been.

Marinette pursed her lips as she walked up to the stall, looking at the shirt. There really was nothing special about the shirt. It was a plain black tee, the neon green paw print stamped on. No embellishments, nothing clever. As a burgeoning fashion designer, nothing about the material or graphic design seemed exciting to her.

But Chat Noir had loved it.

As a general rule, and also because it was really, really weird, Marinette didn’t buy Chat merch. Let alone her own. That would be even weirder. But here she hesitated.

“Excuse me, miss, but are you planning on buying anything?” the vendor finally piped up, having watched as the strange young girl seemingly zoned out in front of his stall.

“Oh!” a bright flush spread across her face. “Uh, um, yes uh, this please!” she hastily grabbed one of the shirts, not even bothering to check the size and handing it to the vendor to ring up.

She paid for the shirt, gave the vendor an embarrassed smile, before running off to finish her errands, the now bagged shirt clutched in her hands.

An hour later, she stood, holding the shirt in front of her. It was a little big but nothing too crazy.

“I mean, I suppose I should try it on” she shrugged, and changed into it. Marinette looked in her mirror.

There she was. The Ladybug, wearing a Chat Noir t-shirt.

“Yup. About as weird as I thought it would be” she announced to the empty room, strangely embarrassed. “But it’s pretty comfy.” She played with the hem of the shirt and shrugged. Guess these were her pyjamas for the night.

As time would go on, the Chat shirt would naturally become part of her loungewear rotation. Marinette no longer felt self-conscious, and would often happily don it to go to sleep. It was a really comfortable shirt.

So comfortable, in fact, that she would forget she was wearing it.

Which would come back to bite her in a very embarrassing way.

It had been a long day of fighting another one of Hawkmoth’s akumas, and Marinette decided that a quiet evening looking out at the beautiful city of Paris on her balcony, with a hot mug of cocoa was exactly what she needed.

“That smells good,” a voice suddenly spoke. She looked to her left and saw Chat Noir perched on the ledge of the balcony. She rolled her eyes and smiled.

She had gotten used to these abrupt late night visits from Chat. Since he didn’t know she was Ladybug, she could relax and not worry about fending off his flirting.

“Hot cocoa. Want some?” she offered, preparing to push away from where she had been leaning. He shook his head and instead shifted from his crouch to sit properly on the ledge, legs dangling over the edge.

They both gazed out at the twinkling lights of the city.

“Tired from a long day saving the world?” she sipped at her drink. He shrugged, smiling down at her.

“A little, yeah” he admitted, and she looked up at him. He wasn’t usually so forthcoming.

“The job getting you down?” she asked, hesitantly.

One good thing about being Marinette and Chat Noir, was she could ask him things she wasn’t brave enough to ask as Ladybug. It was something that had long since been on her mind. Her role as a hero. His role as her partner. Living this double life. All the responsibilities they both were facing. She wondered if he felt the same way.

“Well, you know. The constant fighting gets to you after a while,” his eyes glowed in the black night, as he stared into the distance. She did know. “Well at least you have Ladybug at your side,” she offered, but all she received was a sad smile.

“Ladybug is great. She’s strong and steadfast and never seems to let anything get to her.” He went quiet for a moment. “It can be pretty intimidating, actually.”

Marinette’s eyes widened in surprise. “You’re…intimidated by Ladybug?” the shock in her voice made him turn, and he shook his head vehemently.

“No! No, that’s not what I meant,” he raised his hands defensively. “Don’t get me wrong. I love this part about her. Her duty to the city and her role, and how fearless she is in the face of insurmountable odds! But… it kinda leaves very little room for me. Like even if I weren’t there, she’d still do just fine.”

He almost whispered that final part, and Marinette’s heart squeezed tight. She had never realised he felt this way. In her eyes, Chat Noir was unshakeable, undeterred, grinning through all the trials they faced as heroes. She looked to him as a shoulder to lean on and a support she could rely on. He was the best partner she could ever hope for. And yet she had made him feel like she didn’t need him.

She reached one hand over and laid it over Chat’s clenched fist. He looked at her and she glared at hi.

“You know that’s not true. Ladybug needs Chat Noir just as much as Chat Noir needs Ladybug.” She squeezed his hand. “I know it. You know it. And the whole of Paris knows it.”

Chat studied her gaze as she studied his, before they both smiled. “You think so?” he finally asked.

“I do. And I know Ladybug would think the same.” She gave him a pointed look. “You should tell her how you feel.”

For some reason, Chat’s ears turned red, but he coughed and looked away. “Yeah, maybe I should.” She nodded, and finally leaned back.

“Sure you don’t want some cocoa?” she asked.

He pondered for a second, before turning around. “Yeah, why not? I have time for- HEY!”

“What?!” she looked around, worried some hidden enemy had ambushed them on her balcony. It was still quiet, empty night and she looked back at him. He was looking at her clothes.

“My shirt!”

Marinette glanced down at herself, horror dawning on her.

“Oh no” she wheeled around, looking for something to cover the green pawprint, but there was no such object. She settled for instead covering her face with her hands, avoiding Chat Noir’s ear-to-ear grin.

“You bought a Chat Noir shirt!” he chimed, his voice bubbling with excitement.

“No, I didn’t!” she denied, trying to shuffle towards the door leading back into her home.

“Don’t deny it! I saw this shirt the other day with Ladybug!” he slid in front of her, blocking her escape.

“It’s not the same shirt. Not related to you at all” She tried to slip past him but the wasn’t letting her past.

“Don’t lie! Who else could be represented by a green paw print?” he demanded, planting his fists on his hips.

Marinette scrambled for an excuse.

“It’s this, uh, great indie band I know, Neon Leopards. Big fan. Yup.” Chat burst out laughing and allowed Marinette to push him inside as she re-entered her home. She stopped him before he could follow her in.

“Didn’t realise you were a Chat Noir fan, Marinette” he leaned in close to her bright red face but she locked her brows stubbornly.

“I’m a Neon Leopards fan,” she huffed. “Also, I just realised I drank the last of the hot cocoa. So I’m afraid you’ll have to leave now!”

Chat Noir didn’t even try to stop her, too busy snickering.

She slammed the door shut on his laughing face.

Over the subsequent months and years, the Chat shirt would becoming an ongoing joke between Chat and Marinette. When Chat Noir mentioned Marinette owning his merchandise to Ladybug, it took everything for her not to burst into flames from embarrassment and react with cool indifference.

But it would soon make way for an even bigger reveal.

“Wait, Marinette. You’re Ladybug?!”

“You’re Chat Noir, Adrien?!”

The Chat shirt would not be a topic that would come up for a good while after this, as Marinette and Adrien adjusted not only to the news that they were Chat and Ladybug respectively, but also the newfound romantic relationship they had entered into soon after the reveal.

Until one day, when Chat appeared on her balcony.

--- “Claws in!” and suddenly, Adrien Agreste was on her balcony.

Marinette poked her head out onto the balcony and huffed, coming to stand in the doorway with her hands on her hips.

“Hey Marinette!” he greeted her, before freezing midstride.

“Adrien, you know you can use the front door!” she complained, before noticing the creeping smile on his face.

She felt a tingling sensation on her neck and weird sense of déjà vu as he stared at her clothes. She glanced down and sighed.

“Neon Leopards, huh?” he smirked, walking over and wrapping her in his arms.

“This is why you don’t catch a lady off guard” she grumbled, leaning her red face into his chest.

“I should’ve known you were Ladybug when I saw you wearing this shirt. The fashion-forward design genius Marinette would never have bought this kind of top otherwise” he chuckled, pulling back enough to look at his cute lady’s face.

She rolled her eyes, lazily draping her arms around his neck.

“I guess I couldn’t help myself.” She sighed, smiling playfully. “I mean, it’s simple, yet sophisticated.” She teased. He nodded seriously. “Truly bold yet understated” he declared, tucking a stray hair behind her ear.

“I mean, do you know what this says?” she leaned in, whispering dramatically. He followed her lead.

“What does it say?” he whispered back. “It says, ‘I’m a Chat Noir fan, 100%’” she grinned, and he couldn’t resist. He leaned in and pecked her lightly on the lips. A light pink tinged her cheeks and across her nose.

“Clearly you wouldn’t survive without me,” he sighed, winking at her. She jabbed him in the ribs. He jerked before retaliating by tickling her. She giggled and swatted his hands away.

“There is no Ladybug without Chat Noir, after all,” she announced.

“And no Adrien without Marinette” he murmured. She blushed again, and how could Adrien resist that. He leaned back in once more.

Second straight day of big departures from what I usually post... Just wanna give everyone a little background on Japanese ballplayers and athletes in America, and the type of support systems they tend to bring with them to the US. A common refrain in the reactions to the Shohei Ohtani saga has been along the lines of, "Shohei really let his interpreter, of all people, access his bank accounts? That seems way too fishy." A lot of sports fans, with a good amount of justification, look at the hype that comes with the signing of Japanese players with MLB teams — and more so the money on the contracts that those players sign — and assume that they must have a team of assistants and handlers who look after their every need 24/7 as they navigate life in this new country and new league. People would be shocked at just how small that "team" can actually be. Oftentimes, it's just the interpreter (either team-assigned or hired by the players themselves) and however many family members they bring with them to the US. In some cases, especially for lesser-known athletes, it's just the family. And occasionally, it's just the athlete coming here entirely on his or her own and not knowing anybody upon arrival. On that last point: WWE used to have a partnership with F*ll S**l where they would get students to help with the production of live shows at their training facility just outside of Orlando. Not too long into the venture, WWE signed a wrestler from Japan on a development-type contract. Now, this wrestler was well-known in the Japanese scene, and had received enough of a push that he wore the championship belt several times during his career. He was also married with kids.

So he gets to Orlando. He doesn't speak much English (if any), doesn't bring his family with him, and doesn't have much in the way of contacts or a support system in the US outside of whatever the WWE arranged for him upon arrival. Bear in mind that this is all before we had things like instant translator apps on smartphones, and before Japanese-language services became more common worldwide. It eventually got to the point where WWE had to look for someone, anyone, who spoke Japanese, and got Strip Mall U to track down my mom — who I'm guessing was the only Japanese speaker in the entire company — and enlist her to help him with some of the basic paperwork for life in America: setting up a bank account (but not running it), trips to the DMV, and so on.

For WWE's part, they gave my mom free tickets to the shows in exchange for helping this wrestler out, which her (and my old) co-workers might have cherished more than she did. And for the wrestler's part, he managed to carve out a career in the US in the years afterwards; his Wiki indicates that he still does occasional shows in the US, albeit in the independent circuits. But the fact that they wound up entrusting someone who was a complete stranger to the wrestling world to serve as a de facto liaison to one of their overseas performers was, and still is, pretty wild to me. And regardless of whose plan it was for his support system to be that thin from the jump: if that's what it looked like for an entertainer of that caliber and fame, then it would stand to reason that the amount of help that is afforded to, or is possibly asked for by, the typical Japanese pro athlete in the US isn't all that much higher... and in that scenario, having just a single point of support for the athlete, or the athlete plain fending for himself or herself in an unfamiliar country using an unfamiliar language, could absolutely lead to some unintended consequences. I should make clear here that none of this will prove definitively that Shohei Ohtani is free of any and all wrongdoing. There's certainly a non-zero chance that he's actually a degenerate who stays up all night placing bets on random D2 college basketball and lower-league Japanese soccer games, and is using his now-former interpreter as the ultimate fall guy. But I do think this background might explain (what I personally think is) the more likely possibility that Shohei was okey-doked by his own interpreter, slash accountant, slash media liaison, slash workout partner, slash clubhouse attendant, slash Ubereats driver, etc etc.

CRYSTALLIS MISSION 009

SCHEDULE TYPE: TRIMESTER ( PART 2 OUT OF 2 ) SCHEDULE RESTRICTIONS: cannot be paired with another trimester schedule, unless stated otherwise. for reference as to whether your muse is eligible for this event, please click over HERE.

on JANUARY 8, the managers, YEWON, EUNJO, and NAHEE gather all of the CRYSTALLIS members together for a meeting.

STUDIO ROOMS ( YUJIN & YUXI )

starting JANUARY 9 ( as a belated [ for yuxi ] and early [ for yujin ] birthday gift ) YUJIN and YUXI will be given their own studio rooms which are located in the same area as where the rest of the studio rooms are for CRYSTALLIS. as the newest members, they will be requested to create a set of studio rules for guests to follow whenever they're inside and design their studios to their own liking.

then on JANUARY 15 ( YUXI ) and JANUARY 17 ( YUJIN ), they will be given an opportunity to go on live for 30 minutes to interact with the fans and show off a little bit of their studio room to them all while answering some fan questions.

MODELING CONTRACT RENEWALS ( MLB, 8x4 )

for MLB, the company will be asking JAEHWA, SOMIN, and YURA to help create their own customized design for a variety jacket OR a sweatshirt ( depending on what the CRYSTALLIS member prefers ). each of the girls will be asked to select one of the two items ( variety jacket or sweatshirt ) and then submit designs that they feel would reflect both MLB and their image ( individually and as a group ). once the creative teams ( MLB and legacy ) approve of the designs, the next campaign that will be launched will display their designed products. they will also have a cf and photoshoot sometime around early FEBRUARY where they will be wearing the products and these photos will be used on the MLB's website and social media posts. then on MARCH 2, all three of the girls will be attending a MLB x CRYSTALLIS fansign event, where the girls will get a chance to meet some of the fans who have purchased a certain money of the MLB products.

for 8x4, the company will be asking HYEJOO and SOYOUN to create their own deodorant perfume scent! each of the girls will be asked to suggest smells that they prefer and/or best exemplifies their image and also provide suggestions on the packaging of their product. once the creative teams ( 8x4 and legacy ) approve of the recommendations, the next campaign that will be launched will display their designed products. they will also have a cf and photoshoot sometime around early FEBRUARY where they will be showcasing the products and these photos will be used on the 8x4's website and social media posts. then on MARCH 3, both of the girls will be attending the 8x4 x CRYSTALLIS fansign event, where the girls will get a chance to meet some of the fans who have purchased a certain money of the 8x4 products and play a trivia quiz game with them ( it will be done more as hyejoo and soyoun versus the fans game ).

the MLB and 8x4 modeling gigs will be renewed and last until the end of Q2 ( JUNE 30 ), thus making it a full year for the modeling contracts.

MODELING CONTRACT RENEWALS ( HAUSING COMPANY )

for HAUSING COMPANY, just like mentioned in the previous term, all of the CRYSTALLIS members will be moving to a new apartment building soon after their meeting is done. later on that day, they will be filmed once again as they get their initial reactions to the interior of the new apartment.

as for the room configurations, there will be 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms ( 2 small ones on the 1st floor, 1 small one on the 2nd floor ), one kitchen ( 1st floor ), one dining room ( 1st floor, next to kitchen ), one living room ( 2nd floor ). here are the new room arrangements:

[ 1ST FLOOR ] ROOM A / PINK ROOM: LIU YUXI, MOON SOMIN, YAMASHITA ICHIKA

[ 1ST FLOOR ] ROOM B / IVORY ROOM: AHN JAEHWA, GONG HYEJOO, MIN SOYOUN

[ 2ND FLOOR ] ROOM C / PERIWINKLE ROOM: KIM YUJIN, SEO YURA

this time around, the CRYSTALLIS members will be given a solo video segment where they will be discussing one or two of their favorite items in their current room and the reason behind it. they must provide some sort of story or explanation behind the said item and explain how they incorporate that item into their room.

similar to last time, the videos will be released AFTER their contract to stay in their new dorm arrangement ends and will serve as promotion for HAUSING COMPANY. for last term's videos, it will consist of 2 videos, each lasting around 15 minutes long. the first video will be released on MARCH 16 while the second one will be released on MARCH 23.

PROJECT ORIGIN EXHIBITION & SHOWCASE

“with the release of the OSTs and the start of the animation series, LEGACY has invited the debuted groups to take part in the PROJECT ORIGIN EXHIBITION & SHOWCASE, which is scheduled to happen on FEBRUARY 23. on this day, there will be the unveiling of the exhibition where the costumes used during both the original and second reiteration of the musical will be displayed. among that are some of the memorabilia we have collected from all of the groups participating, so this includes costumes and props used during some of the past future dreams seasons, year end ceremonies, and much more.” YEWON continues on to explain the details of one of their events. “later on that day, there will be a showcase where the groups will be performing the webtoon OSTs.”

for JAEHWA, SOYOUN and YURA, since they were a part of the original PROJECT ORIGIN MUSICAL, they will be given a chance sometime around JANUARY to record some narration parts about the musical and describe some of the initial thoughts they had when they were in the musical.

LUNAR NEW YEAR GREETINGS

a couple of days before LUNAR NEW YEAR ( FEBRUARY 10 ), all of the CRYSTALLIS members will be dressed up in traditional clothing and record a lunar new year greeting for all of the fans which will be posted on the CRYSTALLIS’ youtube channel.

CRYSTALLIS 2ND ANNIVERSARY FANMEETING

on FEBRUARY 25, the CRYSTALLIS members will be having a small fanmeeting to commemorate their 2nd anniversary. the fanmeeting will consist of them performing all of their latest korean title tracks since debut and games with their fans. for this specific fanmeeting, the theme will be ‘crystalland’ where the stage will be set up similar to that of an amusement park.

the games that CRYSTALLIS will be playing will be different carnival games ( eg. ring toss, whac-a-mole, duck pond game ). by near the end of the fanmeeting, CRYSTALLIS will be surprised by the fans as they will watch a fan-made montage video of everything that CRYSTALLIS has accomplished thus far and brief thank you messages.

HARU’S ‘WAW’ TIK TOK DANCE CHALLENGE

as per YEWON’s request, she has convinced the HARU members to let some of the CRYSTALLIS members take part in HARU’s tiktok dance challenge for their upcoming title track, ‘WIND & WISH’. they will be doing it in groups of 2-3 members and with one or two of the HARU members joining them.

the groups are as follows:

GROUP A ( SUNGWOOK ): GONG HYEJOO, MIN SOYOUN, YAMASHITA ICHIKA

GROUP B ( HANKYUNG ): AHN JAEHWA, KIM YUJIN, SEO YURA

GROUP C ( YP & MINWOO ): LIU YUXI, MOON SOMIN

the filming for this will be done sometime during FEBRUARY 26-MARCH 1 ( whenever their schedules permit ).

JAPANESE COMEBACK & PROMOTIONS

"even though it's been a couple of months since we've done promotions in JAPAN, LEGACY decided to keep up with the momentum and work on another japanese release. this will be happening on MARCH 11, but due to our rather hectic schedules, we will be flying back and forth between JAPAN and KOREA during these two weeks to accommodate the individual and group schedules we have during this time." YEWON stated before she proceeded to tell them the rest of the information they would need to know about the comeback.

for the MARCH japanese comeback, they will be releasing two songs and it is as follows:

with the addition of the new members, YEWON will remind all of the CRYSTALLIS members, especially YUJIN and YUXI to spend some time working on their JAPANESE skills to help better equip themselves for the promotions that they are about to embark on.

from MARCH 12 to MARCH 29, they will be attending multiple hi-touch events and media interviews across JAPAN. the hi-touch events will consist of around 300 lucky fans where they will perform both of their songs and then have a one on one meeting with each of their fans. they will be having the hi-touch events in the following locations:

MARCH 12-13: TOKYO

MARCH 15-16: NAGOYA

MARCH 17-18: OSAKA

MARCH 21-22: FUKUOKA

MARCH 23-24: CHIBA

MARCH 25-26: NIIGATA

MARCH 28-29: HIROSHIMA

on days when they are not attending any events, they will be on their way to the next location ( if it takes more than a few hours ) OR they will be heading back to KOREA for their own schedules.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS & LIVESTREAMS

for HYEJOO’s birthday, because it was on JANUARY 1, the managers decided to help create their own version of the ringing of the bell at jonggak ( which is typically celebrated for the new year ) by creating and hanging up a bell on the ceiling that says ‘happy birthday to youngwon!’ when HYEJOO enters the practice room ( in preparation for the following day’s award show ), the bell will start ringing and the managers along with the CRYSTALLIS members will be singing happy birthday to her while carrying a homemade birthday cake made by YEWON and NAHEE. due to the holidays, she will have a post-birthday livestream with the fans on JANUARY 2, before rehearsals for the SEOUL MUSIC AWARDS.

since ICHIKA’s birthday will be in the midst of the HARE HARE promotions, on the day of her birthday the CRYSTALLIS managers will be celebrating her birthday in OSAKA. after having her birthday livestream in the morning with the fans, ICHIKA will be asked to pick a place in the OSAKA area that she would want to go to during the morning-afternoon time.

as for SOYOUN, after she is done filming for a later episode of ‘HANGOUT WITH YOO’, she will receive a birthday cake surprise from the cast members. later on that day, she will have her birthday livestream with the fans.

with all of the birthday livestreams, they will last around 30-45 minutes talking to the fans and sharing anything meaningful to them that has happened in the past year or so.

( important note: since SOYOUN has done the writing requirement for the birthday last year, she will not get points for completing it, however ICHIKA and HYEJOO will. but for ic reference, that is what was planned for their birthdays. )

CRYSTALLIS YOUTUBE SHOW ( PART 2 )

in terms of the writing requirements, for Q1 you will need to write a minimum of 2 SOLOS ( with a maximum of 3 SOLOS or 2 SOLOS and 1 THREAD ) and they will need to be filmed sometime between JANUARY 9-MARCH 30. all of the written content must be about what was aired IN the episode, so as always please be professional about this.

for the SOLOS, each episode must be at least 300+ WORDS long. as for the THREADS, it has to be a 4 replies ( minimum 8 lines; two posts per mun ) thread and with ANOTHER CRYSTALLIS member. as the guest, the CRYSTALLIS member will not receive additional points for participating. it’s also advised that the CRYSTALLIS guest appears in one show during this cycle to allow other members to participate in the other shows.

for every episode written and completed ( solo or thread ), they will receive +6 MCING/HOSTING, VARIETY, ACTING, OR PERFORMANCE, and +5 NOTORIETY. all of the +6 SKILL POINTS have to be distributed to one of the skills mentioned. The maximum one can get from completing this during Q1 will be +18 MCING/HOSTING, VARIETY, ACTING, OR PERFORMANCE and +15 NOTORIETY.

Honey, I’m home.

I attended a MLB ballgame, ate high-dollar nachos there, bought an expensive t-shirt. It was hella fun. Would do it again. Ok, enough of that boring shit.

Still waiting on the translation subtitles on Joon’s most recent live...we’re calling it W Live are we? instead of V Live? Ok, fine.

Oh...I saw Tae’s IG post photos from In the Soop: Friendcation where Tae is holding one of his friends very much like he slings his arm around everyone. And sleeping in the same bed with them. All of them. The episode aired today but I haven’t seen anyone’s reaction or take on it. How was it? Tae was supposed to reveal some stuff...someone needs to include me in the loop.

And also: I heard Jimin’s call-in to the radio station interview that Sungwoon was doing. Hilarious that Jimin shared that Sungwoon calls him while he’s taking a dump. Typical bro stuff.

I see anons are still talking about THE RINGS...oh my, the turmoil those rings have generated...

Assigning the TF2 mercs YouTube channels they would probably watch because yes

Support:

Medic: he would probably enjoy watching Micheal Reeves, Specifically the surgery robot video, and Doctor Mikes reaction videos. (I also have a funny hc that he looks up surgery tutorials mid surgery because he forgot a step.)

Sniper: you know those outdoor wilderness videos where they make random structures out of clay and bamboo? Yeah he would watch that. Also National Geographic wild.

Spy: This guy probably watches those ASMR videos where someone taps their nails and rubs their hands over the mic. Also he uses those 8 hour white noise videos because this prissy man needs his beauty sleep.

Offense:

Scout: he probably watches Penguinz0 and MLB compilations and then starts clicking on random videos until he realizes he’s watching Pawn Stars, and Paternity Court.

Soldier: he watches the history channel without a doubt, crash course history, and oversimplified. (He would watch the WW2 oversimplified video a concerning amount of times).

Pyro: they would more than likely watch toy channels like cookieswirlc and doctor squish. (Someone would probably have to keep an eye on them so they don’t click on a random creepy video because of their pyrovison.) Also I feel like they would enjoy watching Bluey.

Defense:

Demoman: he probably watches how it’s made- idk why I feel like it makes sense, and those videos where explosives experts break down explosions in movies.

Engineer: He would watch Crazy Russian Hacker and The Myth-busters. Also a Micheal Reeves fan (Probably introduced medic to him and made something that Micheal has made, like the “Camera that makes me the tallest person in the photo” or the “Tazer Tag” thing.)

Heavy: he would watch random gun reviews, and that one person who builds a random structure to survive in the wilderness for 1 year. (I feel like he wouldn’t watch specific people or just wouldn’t remember who he watches- he just types whatever he wants to watch in the search bar.)

'Cillian Murphy has amassed a large number of fans in his career with his works in the industry. The Oppenheimer fame garnered worldwide stardom after starring in some of the most iconic Christopher Nolan movies as well as the Peaky Blinders series. But recently the fans were excited to know that his famous doppelgänger Tyler Glasnow is also a huge fan of his works when the famous Tampa Bay Rays pitcher was asked about his thoughts on Murphy.

Besides being a professional MLB player, Tyler Glasnow has also made a name for himself after several fans have pointed out his resemblance with the Thomas Shelby fame. The baseball player also proved to be a great movie lover when he spoke about the excellence of Cillian Murphy in acting.

Cillian Murphy found a fan in his doppelgänger

Tyler Glasnow is a popular face among the netizens who know him as the famous doppelgänger to Cillian Murphy. He never addressed this thing publicly until recently he sat into a conversation with GQ.

According to the 30-year-old MLB player, the extra attention doesn’t impact him much as the doppelgänger thing is mostly popular among avid internet users while he prefers to stay away from social media. But Glasnow added that his mother also agrees with his facial resemblance to the blue-eyed Irish actor- “Then my mom was like, ‘You kind of do look like him!'”

When asked if he was a fan of the works of Cillian Murphy, he was quick to respond yes. Glasnow revealed that he is a big fan of Murphy’s works and Peaky Blinders is his absolute favorite.

“Absolutely! I think he’s f–king awesome. Peaky Blinders is really good. I think he’s such a good actor, so I’m like, ‘That’s cool, yeah!’ He looks great.”

Following this, he was also asked if he liked Murphy’s collaborations with Christopher Nolan. Tyler Glasnow reflected his excitement on the question and it was evident that the ex-Pittsburgh Pirates player is also a fan of Nolan’s movies.

“Yeah, of course. If you say you’re not a Christopher Nolan fan, you’re crazy. You know what I mean? He’s awesome. All his Batman movies are pretty sick. Is he Interstellar and Inception too? [GQ: Yes.] Holy sh-t. Interstellar is really good. Wow! I didn’t know that he did Interstellar. Maybe I don’t know that much. That movie is insane.”

It is quite clear that Tyler Glasnow is a huge fan of the movies of the person he is associated with. It was also reflected in his reaction after watching Oppenheimer.

What did Tyler Glasnow say about Oppenheimer?

After speaking about Cillian Murphy and Christopher Nolan, it was quite natural for the conversation to go towards Oppenheimer. The latest flick was immensely praised by both the audience and critics. Everyone loved the amazing performance by Murphy as the Father of the Atomic Bomb accompanied by the brilliant filmmaking skills of Nolan.

Gasnow was also asked if he checked out Oppenheimer and he couldn’t stop praising the movie and his experience in IMAX.

“I have! It was awesome. I went to an IMAX theater in Tampa. It was sick. I love the movies, so I go as much as I can.”

He added that the movie is 3-hour-long but not a single scene feels unnecessary in the movie. But similar to most of the fans, the Trinity Test scene was his favorite. The filmmaking excellence and realism were shown in that scene and everybody was both shocked and mesmerized by the sequence.

Tyler Gasnow rated the movie a solid 9 out of 10 and it can be concluded very well that the Tampa Bay Rays pitcher is a very big Cillian Murphy fan to the core. He also added that he would be all up if Christopher Nolan needed an athlete for his movies by any chance someday until it overlaps with his season.'
