As the sun set over the newly-defrosted forest, Mousetail headed toward the camp's heart. She had spent the day hunting, as did most of the clan's warriors. Since the weather was so nice now, it was ideal to spend that time gaining strength and keeping the clan healthy... or so Mousetail figured.

Of course, the nice weather didn't override everything that was on Mousetail's mind.

Stormflower's proposal still weighed heavily on her thoughts as she mulled it over and over and over... the thought of reuniting with her long-estranged father was nothing to scoff at. He had been exiled long ago for what Honeypurr always said was an unfortunate misunderstanding... but what if Antstride was right to worry? Her brother was too worried about getting in trouble to be completely on board, and though Birchshine had said she wanted to come along...

...Mousetail couldn't help resenting her sister, who continued to fawn over Magicburst whenever she thought nobody was looking. Mousetail had told her directly about the fight she and Magicburst got into just days ago, but Birchshine insisted there must have been... some sort of misunderstanding. But what was there to misunderstand? Magicburst made it abundantly clear that he had no interest in making amends.

She did her best to ignore the lovey-dovey scene that took place just fox-lengths away from her, a wave of distant anger growing in her chest. It's fine. It would be fine. Birchshine can like whoever she wants. Even if that cat happened to be a piece of-

"Fox-dung!" Mousetail hissed under her breath as she bumped into someone exiting the bushes, though she swiftly bit her tongue as she recognized Stormflower's spotted pelt.

"Oh! Pardon me," The healer apologized casually, seeming completely unbothered by the impact. "I didn't realize any cats would be out here."

"Yeah, plenty of cats are still out and about." Mousetail couldn't help the venom in her tone, though she did feel a little bad about the subtle jab at her sister's whereabouts. Stormflower seemed briefly puzzled by the response for a moment, but she soon appeared to understand.

"Here, walk with me," The spotted molly requested, leading Mousetail with a flick of her ear. Mousetail followed, albeit somewhat reluctantly.

"I was hoping to give you more time to think about my offer," Stormflower began, "But it appears our bumping into one another has come at a convenient time. I was just on my way to meet with him."

Mousetail felt her pelt jolt in surprise. "Y-You were going to see..?"

"Your father, yes," She hummed softly. "You're welcome to tag along if you'd like. He may be a bit shocked to see you, though."

"I..."

The words dried up on her tongue. Mousetail had wanted to wait for Antstride to be convinced, and for Birchshine to have a moment to join them, but...

"...I'd like that, actually," She mumbled.

"Wonderful! Shall we go, then? We shouldn't be too long, but perhaps with the long trek... we might not be back until morning."

Mousetail nodded, almost afraid that she'd change her mind if she opened her mouth. Surely her siblings couldn't fault her for... taking the opportunity while it was there?

Birchshine and Magicburst have been spending more and more time together now that Birchshine has become a warrior. The two are now good friends.

Mousetail decides to join Stormflower in visiting Skunktooth without consulting her siblings further. The pair sneaks off to meet him under the cover of the night.

Along the way, the pair discover a gemstone sparkling with the light of the moon. Sensing its importance, Stormflower collects it.

Mouse tailed bats (Rhinopomatidae) might just be my favorite bats. They are very under appreciated. They have cute faces (about as “normal” as a bat can be), are fairly competent on the ground (not vampire levels but they can scurry), and have beautiful lovely long tails.

This is Eclipse of (AU) ThunderClan!

Eclipse is the mate of Gingerstar, who’s the leader of ThunderClan!

they are gay and happily in love <3 Gingerstar is bisexual and Eclipse is lesbian

Gingerstar is friends with Blizzardstar, leader of StormClan :)

AU Synopsis: The five clans discover three clans living near the old SkyClan’s ravine, StormClan, StoneClan, and SunClan.

there was one other clan but imma change it to only those three

Gingerstar was a role that i made up called ambassador, for ThunderClan, which basically meant she traveled around the clans and territory and stuff and relayed messages, basically a messenger. She discovered the three new clans too while on a mission. She was offered the deputy position multiple times but turned it down for a while because of that role. Gingerstar met Eclipse too, and brought her back to her clan after she ran away from her parents on a farm.

StormClan was created by a cat named Soaringhawk, who was a SkyClan cat in the old forest territory. He left when SkyClan was kicked out and created his own clan.

StoneClan was created by a former ThunderClan cat, Adderstrike/star. In Blizzardstar’s apprentice time their leader is Boulderpelt/star. Blizzardstar is friends with Snakeeyes/star, the leader after. They became friends when the former StormClan cats that fled when the coup happened came to StoneClan for help.

SunClan was already there a long time ago, created by a rogue who had heard of the ancient Clans. They have a very interesting line of leaders, but I don’t remember what their creator’s name was. However, notable leaders were Badgerstar, then Lynxstar, Badgerstar’s apprentice and mate of Honeystar, the next leader who killed him because he had become a tyrant and was… a shitty cat, like Badgerstar. Honeystar had another mate after, who became the next leader. Their leader is Flamestar in Blizzardstar’s time.

There’s also a rogue ‘clan’ called DarkClan living near those three as well. They killed a lot of StormClan, Blizzardstar lost three lives.

SO uh... Remember that time I came up with all those Warrior Cat versions of the Danganronpa cast? Well guess who's been chronically addicted to playing Clangen for the last month.

I made these using a program called CatMaker which is based on Clangen, but unfortunately there doesn't yet exist a function to export the cats you make so you can play with them in the game. So this is the next best thing I could do

“Redpelt, it doesn’t matter a mousetail!” Beenose sighed.

“Yes, of course it does! What if it gets too hot in the nursery? What if you get sick? What if-“

Egrettail stopped paying attention. Once Redpelt got to her ‘what-ifs’, the only cat who could console her was Beenose and Cypressfoot, who was at this time, usually taking her afternoon nap.

Instead, Egrettail focused her gaze on Cormorantpaw. The tom was sat next to Daffodilpaw, his paws tucked under his chest. Egrettail almost winced as Daffodilpaw tried to desperately wrap her tail around Cormorantpaw’s, which resulted in him lashing his tail away. 

The poor she-cat, Egrettail thought sadly. If only Cormorantpaw wasn’t so flea-brained, then he could just realize she’s interested, then tell her if he’s interested or not!

Cormorantpaw suddenly stood up, tail lashing. He said something to Daffodilpaw, no doubt quite harshly, before stalking off. Before he could exit the camp, he glanced at Egrettail and lashed his tail twice to the right. They had decided that if they needed to talk, that’s what they would do.

Egrettail slumped slightly, frustrated. Cormorantpaw needed her, no doubt, but Daffodilpaw.. the she-cat looked so heartbroken, as though she was told terrible news.

Cormorantpaw first. This could be important, Egrettail thought harshly. She could check on Daffodilpaw later. Besides, the two she-cats were not that close. Daffodilpaw would probably get more comfort from even Nightberry, most likely.

Egrettail stood up slowly, glancing at Beenose, who was gently running a tongue over her fretting sisters ear.

“I’m going to go hunting. Prey-piles looking kind of empty.” Egrettail explained. It wasn’t quite a lie; The prey-pile could use a shrew or two.

Beenose flicked her tail in acknowledgement.

Once Egrettail found Cormorantpaw, it was clear the tom was slowly losing patience.

“Finally.” Cormorantpaw huffed, sitting down with slumped shoulders.

“Cormorantpaw, I’m pretty sure this is the farthest possible area from camp you could have chosen.” Egrettail gently reminded him.

Cormorantpaw lashed his tail, glaring at the sun as though he wanted it to flare out.

“Do you know where Cootstorm is? She wasn’t in the medicine den.” He eventually asked, tail flicked over his paws.

Egrettail was surprised by the question, to say the least. Cormorantpaw was many, many things, but he certainly wasn’t forgetful.

“Cootstorm took Pinepaw herb-hunting, remember? Something about how she needed to teach him some new herbs?”

Well, Cootstorm had actually said ‘That flea-brained apprentice can’t tell chervil from parsley! Now I have to show him how to tell the difference and such!’. But Egrettail didn’t say that, because she thought Pinepaw was such a bright young tom. 

“As long as they’re back before sunhigh, I couldn’t care less. Thanks.” Cormorantpaw grunted out the last word, standing up to leave.

“Hey, not yet. Are you not feeling well? I can go and fetch Pinepaw now, I think he’s right by-“

“No! Not Pinepaw!” Cormorantpaw hisses, tail suddenly lashing.

Egrettail looks at Cormorantpaw in surprise. Cormorantpaw had never minded the other apprentices, though he found Asphodelpaw quite annoying from what Egrettail could tell. He was never enemies with, or even annoyed by, Pinepaw.

“And I’m not sick! I don’t have a sore chest, and I’m not coughing. That’s the issue.” Cormorantpaw sniffs, slumping back down.

“What do you mean?”

“Whenever that mouse-brained tom is around, I get sick! I can’t remember things or think straight, and I can’t focus! I think he has fleas or something. That’s probably it.”

Egrettail glanced at Cormorantpaw, nose scrunched in confusion.

“You think.. he has fleas? That’s pretty rude.”

“You have any better explanation?”

Egrettail’s tail flicked softly against the ground.

“Maybe.. I suppose go get checked out with Cootstorm,” Egrettail decides. Cormorantpaw starts to stand, and Egrettail motions for him to sit back down. “What happened with Daffodilpaw?”

Cormorntpaw’s tail lashed once more, his nose scrunching slightly as he glances away.

“Cormorantpaw? What happened with Daffodilpaw?”

“None of your business, alright? Stop stirring up a bee’s nest for no reason!” The tom hissed.

“Cormorantpaw,” Egrettail mewed softly. “Daffodilpaw is really upset right now. What happened?”

“Daffodilpaw is crazier then a fox in a fit! She doesn’t know anything about me, yet at the same time she keeps talking, and talking, and talking to me! It’s getting annoying! And she brought up kits!”

“What’s wrong with kits?”

“The whole clan is bringing up kits! I don’t know how Pinepaw dealt with it, but it feels like every time I go anywhere or stand next to Daffodilpaw or Asphodelpaw, at least one cat says to another that they hope I’ll become mates with them when we grow up! I don’t like either of them! It’s like everyone here’s crazier then a fox in a fit!”

Egrettail opens her mouth to say something, but Cormorantpaw doesn’t want to hear it. He stands to his paws, and with a final glare to something in the distance, storms off.

Egrettail snaps her head to the side, looking for whatever he was glaring at. Nothing but a dead tree. She sighs softly, standing to her paws. She flicks her tail, and after an uneasy glance at the tree, bounds off to camp.

Oh my gosh... I LOVE THIS!! Your writing style is so fun.

Poor Redpelt, always worrying. That's definitely what she sounds like when she gets in a spiral, although I haven't gotten to an issue where I can really dig into it.

Cormorantpaw and Egrettail having a little secret signal is a really fun idea. I won't take it from you, though.

Cormorantpaw thinking he gets sick from Pinepaw because of how he feels when he stands near him... you guys need to stop getting to my material before I've even written it, haha. I'll be accusing of Theft and Thievery at this rate!

Cormorantpaw being a mean little fussy dude when talking to Egrettail is great characterization for him. Very nice job using what little dialogue I've given him so far. I promise he'll get more!

Gosh, getting fanfiction has been such a treat so far. Ugh! I love it! UGH!!

I like berrynose's name that he already has, its just really cute, plus Berry could be a good farm cat name in my opinion! tho Applenose is really cute.

Bearpaw lifted her paw, then smacked it against the surface of the water. Since the weather had warmed up, she held her mentor to his promise to teach her how to fish. Well, maybe he didn't promise, but she had asked him to, and he was at least sort of okay with it? So she was going to make sure he showed her!

"No, no, you have to wait until the fish comes to you," Magicburst half-hissed, clearly a little impatient. "Don't just smack the water, you'll scare them away."

"Yeah but, what if my smacking actually helps though?" She suggested, trying to put herself in the paws... feet? of a frog. "Cause like, if I scare a frog, it might jump up to try and run away! And then I can catch it!"

"That's not going to work," The tabby huffed. "Why'd you even ask me to teach you if you're just gonna do it your way?"

"'Cause if I fall in the water I need someone to fish me out!"

"Of course..."
