DPXDC Prompt #131
Danny started his new job at Wayne industries today and he was a little nervous about messing up. His adopted family the Fentons kicked him out after finding out he was Phantom. Danny was a little disappointed but it was better than how he thought they’d react. He knew he had other family and from what little cryptic Clockwork told him they lived in Gotham.
He gets to his new bosses office and knocks on his door. When he’s told to come in Danny does so but then comes face to face by what he can only assume is his twin and the CEO of the company, Tim Drake. Danny had about 5 seconds before he found himself pinned to the floor.

I'm in the middle of playing BN2 and recently finished the Netopia section (also boy howdy it was a wild ride I could not stop hollering). These are broken-up pieces of the conversation-- by memory-- where Lan and Hub make up from their previous argument.
I was mainly paying attention to Hub's attitude during this. Especially with the line where he feels it was fair for him to get jumped after Lan left him alone, I couldn't help but just go awwww (sad).

Physically I'm here but mentally I'm clawing the eyes out of everyone who talks crap about their children on the internet and posts them in their most vulnerable moments for clout

it would be cool to possibly see a time lapse of one of yr colored pencil pieces eventually(?) ! i am very curious about the process !
I'd love to eventually do that ive been wanting to for a while, its just more difficult with traditional bc i have to be at one spot, not move the sketchbook around too much, and just generally have the camera setup occupy part of my brain the entire time in a way i wouldnt with digital. i do have a post showing the process of a piece with photos

My pettiest of pet peeves is when people portray the Finweans as children in Aman playing with toy swords, which (a) had not been invented yet and (b) were things to be hidden once they were invented.
It's just a pet peeve and I know it's unimportant at the end of the day, but you know what I just realized while being peeved about it?
The sheer potential for the Exiles to be profoundly disturbed to witness the first generation of Noldor to have toy swords

"The newly widowed Elizabeth (Woodville) was exceptionally vulnerable. Several of the trustees responsible for her jointure refused to hand over the manors that were meant to sustain her in her widowhood. Moreover, her brother-in-law, Edward Grey, had seized estates that her son Thomas should have inherited from his paternal grandfather, while her mother-in-law’s new young husband, Sir John Bourchier, had prevailed on Lady Ferrers to settle her principal properties on them jointly for life, ensuring that Thomas would have to wait far longer for this inheritance too. Rivers and Scales were pardoned in July 1461 and swiftly moved into the Yorkist establishment, which perhaps explains the success of the chancery suits Elizabeth launched to regain her jointure. Her son’s inheritance proved harder to recover. By 1463, Rivers was often in (Edward IV's) company and on his council, but Elizabeth needed someone with much stronger influence over the King. She turned to a distant kinsman, William, Lord Hastings, the King’s chamberlain. Hastings drove a very hard bargain for his aid but it was probably amid these negotiations that the King’s desire for Elizabeth was kindled."

Folktale week 7: Found
This one is very loosely inspired by The Wild Swans, by Hans Christian Andersen (and also a call back to day 1: Lost, of course~)

I’ll be honest, whenever I start enjoying a fictional lesbian couple I start to ask myself which of them seems more transgender that I can project trans headcanons onto. Usually it’s not that difficult, but for both Marcille x Falin and Sorawo x Toriko I’ve flip flopped multiple times

with respect to myself, this whole “i need to wait till i’m out of school to date,” “i need to wait till i’m more historically, politically, and culturally educated to date” is all bullshit. it’s the top surgery. that’s the holdup. they chop these tits off and i’m ready to go.

you know, to their credit, my parents did not only give me “girl toys”
I had blocks, and games, and so so many art sets. I had plushies. I even had toy cars, though I never asked for those. I had a little toy cooking set where each piece was also a rudimentary instrument. I had Legos. I had a first-gen Razor scooter and sidewalk chalk and a Skip-It
but.
there is a video of me on my first Christmas, December 1993, at nine months old. my mother sets me down before an array of gender-neutral gifts so I can explore them on my own
and I crawl at top speed, no hesitation, for the only visible doll
nobody conditioned me to be this way. I just decided from infancy that Dolls Were The Best Thing Ever

the need to call my dad and hear his voice and ask how he's doing only to remember a second later that he's been dead for more than 2 years.
talk to me about how boring it is when grief and trauma hit your fav character and they start crying even if they're not the type.
(I'm not actually crying, but I'm sad, and the more i think about that, the closer i am to tears & i fucking get it. it's not as straightforward as some people imagine.)
