Did you?
Neteyam (24) x female human reader (20)
Tumblr media
Warnings: enemies to lovers, mafia au, forced marriage, size difference
Neteyam was a powerful mafia prince, feared by many in the criminal underworld. He was known for his harsh and ruthless tactics, always getting what he wanted through violence and intimidation. But what he didn't expect was to have you as his soon-to-be-wife. You are the mafia princess of the human mafia. And as to make a bond, both mafias decided to marry Neteyam, the oldest mafia prince and you, the youngest princess.
"This tawtute is gonna be my maye?" Neteyam tilts his head, looking down at you, his voice filled with amusement. He's gonna give you a hard time.
"Can you stop calling me that?" You asked back.
"Tawtute? What's wrong with that? It is what you are after all" Neteyam teased, still amused by your reaction.
"Yes, but I don't like it."
"Well then, I'll call you my little human" Neteyam smirked, he was enjoying you reaction way too much. "You gotta admit, it suits you"
You sighed through your nose, pinching the bridge of your nose. "Look, I'm not little, you're a freak of nature. Secondly, it doesn't suit me."
"Awww, are you mad because I'm taller than you?" Neteyam mocked, standing straight, he was more than three heads taller than you. "You are small, I can wrap my hands around your waist so easy. If that's not little then what is"
"Your dick."
"What did you say?" Neteyam's voice remained smug as ever, but now his tail was whipping aggressively behind him. He was fuming, though he'd never show it.
"I said you have a small dick. Why? Did I tell some truth?" It was your turn to smirk.
"I'd like to test that theory" Neteyam said, he was so hot-headed, he was now in your face. His voice had become harsher and more intimidating, as he got closer to the girl. He was so close you could smell his breath and see his sharp fangs.
With one arm, Neteyam picked you up like a child and pushed you against the wall, his body looming over hers. He was a big man, with muscles on each part of his body, a wide chest, broad shoulders and huge biceps that were almost twice the size of your waist. His face was close enough to you to make you shiver.
Your face flushed with a red color, your heart beat quickened. The way he was showing his dominance was so hot.
He could feel your body trembling, he was amused and delighted by how intimidated you seemed, this small human woman. With one hand, he grabbed your chin, tilting your face up so he could look into your eyes.
But you didn't. Your gaze was on the floor.
"Why are you avoiding eye contact? Am I that frighteningly handsome to you?" Neteyam said in a mocking voice. "Or are you scared? Do you just see me as this big monster? Are my muscles too intimidating, my big body perhaps overwhelming?" he looked down and chuckled, his voice returning to it's usual sarcasm.
You rolled your eyes at him.
"I thought so. Humans are so weak and vulnerable, the moment they see someone who's physically stronger than them. They lose all hope, they become scared babies. Pathetic" He lowered his hand from your face and let you down.
For the rest of the day, you avoided him. But little did you know you're sleeping with him from now on.
At night when you were back at your room, you could see a shadow standing at the door. Neteyam was standing with his arms crossed, a smug grin on his face as he was watching you without you knowing. The door was slightly open, so he was able to look in.
You changed your clothes into pijamas and let yourseld fall on the bed.
Neteyam could see every movement you made from where he was standing. He was pleased to see that you were finally done with your day and going to bed. He could hear a soft yawn before you settled into bed, he was gonna wait a bit longer before making his move.
A few more minutes had passed, the moonlight was making its way to the room where this beautiful, tiny human lay. Neteyam finally made his move, he opened the door slowly, shutting it after he had stepped in, making absolutely no noise.
He could see you sleeping soundly on the bed. He closed the distance between you quickly, he could feel the heat of your body, as he stood above you, over your vulnerable and weak form.
He then slid under the covers of the bed and placed his body next to yours, his warm body almost suffocating yours. He laid there still for a moment, just enjoying the moment of them being this close to each other.
Then he wrapped his arms tightly around you, bringing your body so close to his. He was so much larger than yours, his muscles completely overpowering you, his arm wrapped around you and the other one going across your body, trapping you in his embrace.
"what?" You mumbled, half asleep. You rubbed your eyes, looking around you.
"Wake up, little human" he mumbled out. He squeezed you tighter, his muscles now pressing you body down and making it a bit harder to breath. You gasped, the air getting kicked out of your lungs.
"You think I'm just gonna let you sleep in peace? Not a chance" He said, his deep and rough voice filled with dominance. He was enjoying every moment of his power over the little human, who he saw as no threat.
"Lose it a bit.." you struggled to breathe, lightly but repeatedly tapping his bicep.
"Oh you wanna tap me? You wanna fight me off of you? Sorry, little human, that's not happening" Neteyam squeezed you tighter and you could feel his other bicep flex as he flexed his whole muscle. He laughed as he felt you tapping. You were so weak in his eyes, and he liked it.
You tried pushing him away, pushing on him with all your strength but he wouldn't bulge. He was far stronger.
"You're so weak. I love it. You have no hope in fighting me. You really are just a small little human. You're powerless against a strong man" He laughed, tightening his grip around you. It was becoming extremely difficult for you to breathe, especially with his hot body pressed against yours.
Seeing there's no other way to escape this uncomfortable situation, you bit him, sinking your teeth into his thick skin.
Neteyam let out a muffled growl from the sudden pain. He was surprised you could hurt him, but he didn't mind it. It was actually kinda hot. He squeezed you tighter, he now wanted to see this little human fight back even harder. He liked a challenge.
You let go of his skin when you saw it didn't really have an effect on him. You wiggled around, trying to make yourself more room. In return, Neteyam tightened his grip on you, his muscles bulging with power. "Neteyam, I have a fucking dagger with me. Don't make me use it on you." you threatened him, trying to make him feel somehow vulnerable.
"You're gonna stab me? You really are a little savage. A very cute little savage" Neteyam squeezed you tighter, enjoying the thrill of this fight. "I'd love to see you try it"
When you wanted to lower your hand in your pocket and grab it, Neteyam's hand was already close to it. He lunged his hand inside and took your dagger, throwing it away somewhere in your room.
Neteyam chuckled as he saw the small dagger being thrown on the floor. It was no threat to him, but he was impressed by your attempt. The fight between you was starting to really turn him on, you were not as weak as he originally thought and that excited him.
Neteyam suddenly had an idea, and a smirk made its way on his face. He loosened his grip around you and as soon as you tried moving away, he grabbed the side of your neck, squeezing tight.
You let out a painful moan from the pinch of his fingers. Neteyam looked surprised by the reaction but he didn't care. You were weak and your vulnerable spot was your nape.. He looked into your eyes and gave you a quick playful wink. He then pulled you back towards him and squeezed her even tighter than before.
"Fuckfuckfuck!" you cursed, the pain in the nape of your neck becoming too much.
"So hot when you swear..." Neteyam's voice was deeper than before and his eyes were filled with desire. His muscles flexed with every movement he made, his grip was getting tighter each moment he squeezed her against his body. He wanted you to struggle more so he could feel the heat of your body.
"It hurts, you dumb fuck!" You said, lifting your hands up to his huge one that was holding you in your place by your nape.
"Aww, it hurts, does it?" Neteyam smirked and squeezed harder, his grip around your nape was getting tight. He wanted this to hurt his little human, he was getting really turned on by your struggling. Your neck and waist couldn't compare to his strength.
You squeezed his large hand, in hopes to get him off of you. But he didn't move nor did he want to. Then, you dig your nails into his hand, leaving marks behind.
Neteyam smirked again, he really liked it when this tiny human tried to fight him off of you. His huge body towering over yours. Your nails barely did anything to him, he didn't let you go despite you trying. Instead, his muscles flexed as he squeezed you even tighter, his grip getting tighter and tighter.
"Go on, beg me to let you go. I'm not listening till I hear you beg for me"
"I beg you! Fucking let go of my nape."
Neteyam smirked, you was begging him now and he enjoyed it. His muscles relaxed as he let go of your nape. "Good girl" his voice was deep and sarcastic, he was enjoying every second of this interaction between you, you had never made him this excited and turned on.
You quickly lifted yourself off of your bed, standing up and you went right to the door. You put your hand on the door handle and rolled it before you pulled the door towards you, opening it.
"Get out." you said calmly, not taking your eyes off of him.
Neteyam smirked again. If you thought he was leaving just because you said so, you were truly naive. "As if you can tell me what to do. I'm not going anywhere so get back in the bed"
"We're not married yet and this is MY room so get the fuck out!" you spat in his face, standing tall (short) with pride.
"Well we are going to become married soon, so this might as well start being my room too" Neteyam crossed his arms. He got up from the bed and stood beside the door, "I told you I'm not going anywhere, so you have two options here: You either accept that I'll be sleeping with you tonight or I'll drag you back to the bed and we can cuddle. Your choice."
As he spoke, Neteyam already made his way to your bed. He threw some pillows in the same spot before he laid down, resting his head on the mountain of pillows. He got hold of the blanket and pulled it over his body, covering himself.
"Hmm" Neteyam was getting more turned on by her stubbornness, he didn't like weak women, so when she kept resisting he wanted her more and more. He was laying there on the bed with a smug grin, his body stretching across it, it was so big he took the majority of the bed.
"I'm not gonna sleep with you." you said bluntly, crossing your arms over your chest. You wanted nothing more but for him to disappear from your room. Seeing him all spread out on your bed and taking all of the space made you want to slap him hard and send him across the room.
"You can say that all you want, but you know, just as well as I do, that we will be sharing this bed together" Neteyam smirked, his arms spread out on the bed as if he was claiming it for himself, and if this small human woman was gonna sleep next to him, you had to accept that he was gonna hug up on you the whole night.
"We won't." you grabbed a blanket and sat on the sofa, making yourself comfortable. You wrapped the blanket around you, it being the only source of warmth for tonight. "Go to sleep now, Sleeping Beauty." your tone was filled with amusement as you eyed him, taking in his big frame.
You were determined to make your point and it was hot. Neteyam saw you on the sofa and smirked. It was like you wanted him to approach you and drag you back on the bed. He liked the playing hard to get, you made him want to chase you and that was thrilling.
"I'm not going to sleep till you get back on the bed with me" he then crossed his arms and lifted his upper body, leaning against the wall.
"Then you'll stay awake the entire night." you whispered, already getting ready for sleep as the light was already turned off. You wanted to sleep now. You need your beauty sleep, not some jerk who annoys you only.
Neteyam had a smug grin on his face. He then folded his arms and tilted his head, "Just let me cuddle you. I promise nothing more. Just this once?"
"You won't try to kill me?" you opened your eyes and your voice was barely audible.
Neteyam smirked, his eyes flashed, he seemed to consider yoir question for a second before he finally let out a laugh. "Kill you? I'm not going to kill you. I may be a mafia prince but I'm not dumb enough to kill the woman I'm about to marry. Now get over here and let me cuddle you"
"You come and take me. Weren't you saying that you're strong?" you smirked back, wrapping the blanket around you tighter. He said he is strong, so why not let him prove it? You weren't heavy after all, but you were too lazy to get your ass up.
"Hmm" Neteyam smirked, you were right. You were daring him to come take you by force. You didn't know what you had just started. He pushed himself off the bed and then walked towards the sofa. He crouched down and got on the level with you, his eyes looking at you and his body almost bigger than the sofa itself.
"You dare me to take you by force, do you?"
"Are you deaf?"
"Alright, that was a dumb question." he let out another laugh as he stood up, he looked at the small woman's frame and smiled at the challenge, it was gonna be fun. He walked towards you and suddenly wrapped his arms around your small frame, he squeezed you tightly and lifted you up in one go, "There, I took you by force, happy?" he smirked.
"Very. Now get me to bed." you playfully commanded. His grip was suffocating but you couldn't blame him. He maybe didn't notice how strong he was.
Neteyam smirked, he could feel how strong his grip was and how you barely had enough breath to speak the words. "You are really asking me to get you to bed?" he laughed, before walking towards the room and getting on the bed with you, he then placed you gently beside him and he looked at you, he enjoyed the way you were breathing heavily now. "Happy? I took you by force and brought you to bed, I think that deserves some sort of reward, don't you think?"
"And what do you want?" you sighed. You already knew what he desired for but you wanted to hear him beg for it.
"Do I have to be so direct? You should know what I want," Neteyam smirked, he leaned next to you and he spoke softly, right next to your ear, "I want a kiss" he looked into your eyes, his bright yellow ones flashing with desire.
"You won't get one." you said so casually that it actually hurt him, but just for a moment. Neteyam liked when you played hard to get.
"What if I take it?" he whispered in your ear, his breath hot and his body heat making it even hotter, his eyes never leaving yours and his arm wrapping around your waist and pulling you close to him.
"You can't force your soon-to-be-wife like that. You'll scare her away." you mocked him, your eyes flashing with amusement. You liked how easily you could turn him into a begging mess without him even knowing.
"Hmm, that may be true, but my instincts are telling me to do this anyway" He leaned closer to you, his body heating you up with every inch he moved closer and closer. Then, he stopped and he whispered, "Are you sure I can't force you?"
"It won't be enjoyable." you explained, your breath getting heavier. You thought he was just messing around but he did want a kiss. Now it was your turn to get shy. You didn't want to kiss him. No. You wanted to get rid of him...then why did the thought of kissing him trigger something inside you?
"Oh but it will be." Neteyam smirked, then he grabbed you by the waist again and pulled you even closer to him. His breath was hot on your neck and his hands slid around your body, one on your side the other on your stomach. He leaned in even more, his big body pressed firmly against yours. "Tell me how much you hate this" he whispered into your ear, his face so close to yours, he could see every detail of your features.
You could feel his hot breath against your skin and how wet he made you. His deep, raspy voice made you want to clench your thighs together but couldn't, due to him having his leg in between yours. He wanted to kiss you, to crush his lips against yours but you didn't want to...

ao’nung didn’t waste a single minute, his fingers grazing your cheeks gracefully, lips attaching in the lightest softest kiss anyone has ever given you. your heart closed, lips parted, he kissed you again. something boiling in his stomach, feeling like heaven.
he has waited so much time, maybe too much for this moment. and he would wait all over again if everytime he kissed you it was going to be like this. he couldn’t even believe it. he was floating, he was still dumbfounded. you were kissing him, and no it wasn’t any fucking kiss.
it was a kiss without any type of lust, just genuine love. well, at least that’s what he thought. he would’ve paid gold to read your mind in that moment, and see what you were thinking or feeling. he has already kissed you a couple of times before, but none of those kisses has ever felt like this. his eyes closed, his hand on your jaw, your hand grabbing the back of his neck. your fingers could feel the goosebumps, making you smile against his lips.
the tip of his tongue separated your lips, almost as if he was asking for your consent. your tongues latched together, your salivas mixing. you tasted like berries, which made him remember all the times you tasted like this but didn’t notice. you loved fruit, he knew that though. his hand grazing up and down your back, feeling like a baby.
is this what it actually feels like to be in love ?
he’s the type of guy to say “you look beautiful tonight.” but you missed screaming, fighting and kissing in the rain.
but did you tho ? all you could feel now was the way he fatherly held you, and how he cared.
he gently moaned in your mouth, which made you smile against his lips once again, making him fluster and get a bit nervous. but he didn’t care, he trusted you. you could feel the sun kissing your skin. you felt all giggly and dreamy, almost like this was your first experience.
it was unexplainable. there were no words, no phrases, no anything to explain how you were feeling right now. this is all you have always wished for.
he slowly parted his lips away from yours, only for him to see your shiny eyes, so soft and delicate, looking at him like you were in middle school and the boy you loved just kissed you. he started trailing kisses from your mouth, to your cheek and to your jaw. he marked and bit everything he could, he could taste every single part of you.
and he just couldn’t get enough. his hands on your back, one on the back of your neck pushing you against him.
oh, fuck. from now on, getting over you is impossible.
you filled his ears with lustful moans, feeling a tear roll down your thighs. you were out in public, so to try and keep the moans for yourself, you bit your lip, and only a few seconds after you could already taste the metal on your tongue. your mind was completely fogged by the pleasure, eyes glossed with tears. oh fuck it.
“ao’nung, stop the teasing.” you whispered in his ear, a moan catching on immediately after. he could feel you nails abuse his shoulder, and oh how he loved it. maybe this would’ve lasted not more than an hour, but those marks ? well, those scars were going to be a part of him forever. he smiled.
“aw, but you like it sweetheart, don’t you ?” he replied back, raspiness veiling over his voice. this man was starved, famished almost. if you were going to dive in this ocean, he’s not going to accept anything that isn’t the bottom of the sea.
you arched your back against his body, trying to get some friction, and relieve some stress. he noticed, smirking against your neck.
“just fucking say it if you want it that bad.” he spat out, not even leaving you a second to formulate a phrase.
“please…” “please… what ?” “please ‘nung. please.”
he sighed. "i'ma need to be more specific. what do you want ?" he said, waiting for an answer.
"i want to cum, want you to make me feel good." you whined in hear, cheeks red from the confession.
he didn’t wait a second, immediately swimming to the beach. he walked, and laid you down on the hard floor, feeling the coldness of it.
someone could walk right there and see him between your legs, but he didn’t seem to have a care in the world. you couldn’t hold back the moan that had been bubbling in your throat for so long.
he harshly grabbed your thighs, placing them on his shoulders. nose and lips softly grazing the inside of your thigh, electricity flowing through your body, feeling the air hit your sensitive bud.
you could feel your face heating up, tears glossing your eyes.
you tried to squeeze your thighs together, get some friction, anything at this point, but you couldn’t. ao’nung holding your legs wide open, you mumbled out of frustration but he ignored you.
he blew some air on your puffy clit, he could feel your thighs tensing in his hands, but he could also feel your frustration building up and his dick getting more and more hard. he laughed and chuckled at all your reactions, but he loved how sensitive you were.
thinking of all the times he had to get himself off in his pod, when no one was around, because that day you just looked too pretty or you smiled too hard at him. maybe because you bent over, not realising the flesh of your ass was showing the sweet and supple curve of it. you were much more innocent than you’d like to admit.
you got distracted from your thoughts when you felt a slap, ao’nung directly hitting your core, a tear rolling down your cheek, a smirk on his face. your thighs shut, but you could feel ao’nung’s calloused hands running down your thighs, opening them for him.
your slick smearing all of your pussy, this is probably the wettest you’ve ever been. he enjoyed every sight he could get of you, your clit sensitive, your thighs trembling in his hands. he felt like in fucking heaven.
all he could hear was your moans, whimpers, squeals, demands. and he fucking loved it.
“’nung, please.” you cried, sniffing loudly. he looked up at you, face teary and mouth trembling.
if the devil could see you, he would kiss your eyes and repent.
“please… what ?” he asked, making fun of you once again.
you whined, not feeling a thing anymore. the teasing was too much, but to say you hated it was a lie. you just love not getting what you want, do you ?
“please, help me.” you said, not being able to say what you wanted, one time was more than enough. you were too shy, but it was a bit ridiculous, knowing that your legs are spread wide open and his face was between them.
“help you what ? use your words, ( y/n ), don’t act all dumb and embarrassed with me, you know what you want. ” he said, placing another slap on your sensitive aching core. you squealed, swearing you could feel actual pain. he immediately harshly opened your legs again, now getting annoyed, his eyebrows pinched together. “keep your fucking legs open, or else i’ll stop.”
your head tilted up eyes flashing wide, not wanting him to stop. “no, no please ! i’ll be good i promise !” you said, begging and riding your heat to his face, to get any type of contact. you started to squeeze around nothing.
he waited, placing a few kisses on your thighs and a soft kiss on your clit. you placed a hand on your mouth, you were literally sobbing from the pain, and how much you loved it.
“please, i want-” you sniffed, sobbing. “i want to cum.” you said, looking at him. that was it.
“good fucking girl.” he said, getting to work.
he softly wrapped his lips around your clit, his hands tightly wrapped around your ass, your mouth hanging in an ‘o’ shape. your hands wrapped their way on his scalp and braids. you loudly moaned, making him groan against your heat. he inserted a finger, you tugged his braids roughly, he swore he could feel his scalp bleeding. he slowly pumped in and out, eating you out like he was starved.
you pressed his head against your pussy, getting a huff out of him. his pace sped up, feeling your legs tense, knowing your climax was about to be there. he placed another finger in, lowering your stomach against his mouth with his hands.
it made you go crazy. you saw stars, eyes rolling back at his sudden move. he smiled against your core, knowing he hit the right spot. his fingers slowly dragging out of your entrance, he hugged your waist pressing himself over your aching core.
as you felt your climax approach, your moans started to get more and more loud. you were going to get in serious problems, but how could anyone blame you ?
the oloeyk’tan’s son is between your legs, eating you alive. one person, that was it. that’s all it would take for Tonowari to make you pack your bags and send you back to the forest. the thought ruined the moment, so you focused back on ao’nung, well it wasn’t like you couldn’t anyway.
he could feel your climax approaching as he saw you clenching and clenching. he could feel his jaw starting to cramp up, but he couldn’t stop and he couldn’t get enough of you. your scent, your taste, your sounds.
your orgasm hit you like a truck, being absolutely shocked by it. you rode out your high, ao’nung liking your juices off his lips, to then kiss you.
you placed a hand behind his neck, deepening the kiss. you moaned in his mouth, him placing you on his lap. you let out a gasp, feeling his erection about to rip his loincloth. he placed one last kiss on your lips, now the only thing connecting you was a string of saliva.
“did you like it ? was it okay ?” he asked, softly grazing your face. you cuddled in his hand, he could feel your face as hot as ever.
you nodded, feeling your eyes about to withdraw, tired. he placed your chin on his shoulder, your face resting in the crook of his neck. he softly cuddled you into sleep. but suddenly.
you felt something. almost like jake could feel every time lo’ak was doing something dumb.
someone had been watching you the whole time.
you softly opened your eyes, ao’nung’s hands still caressing your back with slow strokes. you felt goosebumps.
you looked around a bit, trying to understand if that was only a feeling or if someone had been watching you the entire time.
your eyes gazed through the pods, your heart stopping as soon as you could feel yourself drowning in his dark, angry eyes. you heart immediately sinked, your boned ignited. you saw his mental bomb ticking in his brain, his fists getting more and more tight, his knuckles as white as they could get. he felt his nails piercing his skin, leaving little moons.
neteyam.
you suddenly stood tall, a questioning expression on ao’nung’s face. he saw what you were looking at, and he had to admit hat he felt his heart skip a beat. neteyam walked furiously towards the two of you.
“neteyam, wait i can explain-” you tried to stop him.
ao’nung immediately stood up, not necessarily caring about neteyam catching him, but caring about how you got scared as soon as you saw him. all you could hear was his fist kissing his face. your hand immediately grasped around your mouth, eyes widened at the sight of the blood in front of you. neteyam on top of him, punch after punch. he was seeing red, and he was not going to stop. not now, not ever. he felt his heart thump loudly against his chest, hands holding ao’nung from doing anything.
he couldn’t hear anything, and you ask yourself what could have happened if no one stopped him. you tried to run and grab neteyam by the arm, only getting a death stare in return. you slowly walked back, not being able to say or do anything. you tried and seek for help. but there was no one near. neteyam was there just because tsireya told him that you and ao’nung went for a swim, and he knew exactly where y’all would’ve went. in the few seconds that ao’nung had, he flipped the situation now beating neteyam.
you swore you heard a bone break. your heart beat fast. you were panicking. breath short. fuck. you screamed. all you could do.
“LO’AK ! DAD !” you screamed and plead, feeling hot tears roll down your cheeks, your heart about to explode, because you knew this was all your fault.
it was getting bad, you could barely recognise neteyam’s face from all the blood. a pit deepening in your stomach.
almost a few seconds later, you saw jake running towards you with tonowari on his side. tonowari harshly grabbed ao’nung off of neteyam, him being held back by his dad.
“you better hide motherfucker ! if i find you i’ll skin you alive and keep you as a swimming suit.” he spat blood on the place, feeling angriness bubble in his stomach as ao’nung smiled. people were coming forward to see what was happening, some gasps leaving their mouths at the scene. you looked at him, his lip split open, his mouth bloody.
“yea, wear it ! ( y/n ) might even want to fuck you, if you’re lucky.” ao’nung spat at him. jake tried to hold him off all he could, as you felt some wandering eyes searching for you. fuck.
you were never ever going to fuck again. anyone. not a soul. you promised. you swore.
★・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・★
neteyam and ao’nung got dragged by both of their dads to the healing pod, where they could get patched up and see if their bones were still intact. you didn’t follow them, you stayed by the sea. looking for an answer, that would’ve maybe gently hugged your feet the same way the water was. you had to deal with it. your actions just got two guys in the healing pod, getting all patched up. before talking with any of the two guys, you had to sort your feelings out. you lacked communication, that’s for sure.
you sighed, the sun setting down slowly, the sky was painted orange and pink.
on one side, there was ao’nung. you two had a little fling, that got out of control. now he’s probably head over heels for you, and you felt so much attraction towards him, but attraction had nothing to do with compatibility. you two were just different, and it would probably end badly, both of you getting hurt. but how could you know if you didn’t try ? he was nice, responsible, attractive… he just ticked all the boxes.
on the other side, there was neteyam. fighting, war, problems, you’ve been through it all, there was nothing left. you missed him always, comparing him to anyone who happened to be in front of you. you lost your virginity to him, just to get treated like a piece of meat. but neteyam wasn’t the only one at fault. were words the same as going ahead and getting eaten out by ao’nung ? did it solve anything ?
maybe he didn’t even mean it, or maybe you were trying to justify him. nonetheless, you had to talk it through. if you two weren’t some horny ass teenagers, y’all would’ve talked everything out that night, but oh well what happened, happened.
you got up, deciding to go see how they were doing since you were the reason they were there. walking through the pods, you noticed tuk and kiri playing in the sea with tsireya. you would’ve liked to go play with them, but you were too embarrassed. just knowing they knew everything made you feel like a slut. an ungrateful slut. ungrateful because even though you treated both of their brothers like shit, they never hesitated to lean over a shoulder to cry on, and a pair of ears to listen. your gaze turned down, deciding to ignore your feelings now, because they were much more important things to do.
you arrived at the pod, slowly opening the flap, to see who was inside. you noticed neteyam on the bed, getting patched up by alyara. you felt your heart throbbing, but you had no right to. that’s the least you should’ve expected.
ao’nung was seated on a chair, another random girl helping him with the medications. you noticed her leaning over to take all her stuff, packing to go away. your gaze met hers, and she lightly smiled at you. your stomach warmed up at her gesture, noticing how kind she was. you smiled back at her, letting her space to get out. Ronal saw you, calling you over to enter.
“oh, ( y/n ), come in !” she said, the tent getting silent, ao’nung looking back at you as you entered, neteyam not having the energy to. he was so tired, he wish he could just lay in your arms and fall asleep. but he unfortunately, couldn’t. he squeezed his eyes shut, not being able to get the image of you and oa’nung out of his mind.
the way you softly melted on him, the way he cared and caressed you. why weren’t you like that with him ?
after kiri got back to her brothers, neteyam asked what happened and why you were upset. kiri was astonished to say the least, almost disgusted, which only made him feel even more dumb. she told him everything, and he swore he felt his heart stopping. with just those words, he ruined everything he worked so hard for. he didn’t see you as a prize, he didn’t see you as an object or anything like that. he saw you as his mate.
his soulmate.
the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. he couldn’t get enough of you, ever.
you’re the only that his dick could get hard for.
and he just wanted to say it to you, cuddled between his arms, only for him to see and feel. that’s why he tried to look for you, after thinking about what he wanted to say. he didn’t see you anywhere, but he knew you had to go to a meeting with his dad. jake was already training with tonowari, so the meeting must’ve already ended. he saw tsireya and kiri playing and swimming with tuk, so he just asked them.
“she went swimming with ao’nung, i saw them earlier.” she said, a careless relaxed look on her face, but kiri already could see and feel neteyam’s organs starting to eat eachother. “oh. thank you…” he replied back, immediately running to your spot. and he arrived there, well…
he squeezed his eyes shut as hard as he could, a painful grin appearing on his face. he wish ao’nung could’ve punched that memory out of him.
you walked in the pod, careful to not disturb anyone who was working.
“alyara, go take care of you brother, ( y/n ) will deal with neteyam.” ronal said. you flushed, realising she probably still don’t know exactly why ao’nung and neteyam fighted, well you imagine it must be embarrassing for ao’nung to know his mom knows he got into a fight because he was eating out, the breeze slapping your faces.
ao’nung hesitantly wished his mom would tell you to come patch HIM up, but he felt even more jealous that neteyam could get all peppered and taken care of by you. you walked towards neteyam’s seat, he didn’t even dare to look at you in the eyes, he didn’t have the courage. you noticed, but tried to act like you didn’t.
with all the herbs and creams ready, you looked for a chair around the room, but you couldn’t find any. you noticed neteyam started lightly angling his leg towards you, leaving an open spot on his thigh, but still not looking at you. you decided to not even think about, placing yourself on his thigh. you remembered that night you used his thigh for something a bit more different, and just could tell he was thinking about it too.
ao’nung couldn’t stop staring at the two of you. seated on his thigh, taking care of him. his fist tight, not being able to hold off his jealousy.
neteyam noticed you scooting a few times to not fall of his leg. he drove an arm behind your back, a hand on the side of your thigh, helping you not fall. he looked at you, meeting your gaze. you both smiled lightly at eachother, neteyam not being able to hold his smirk for himself.
you put some herbs on his shoulder, getting a hiss out of him.
“ow ! ow !” he complained, teeth gritted, eyes squeezed shut.
“if you weren’t such a skxwagn we wouldn’t be here.” you said jokingly, expecting a reply back. neteyam just chuckled, a sparkle in his eyes.
you massaged everything in place, noticing a few more cuts on his back, well other than the scars you gave him. you blushed at the sight of them, earning a little smirk from neteyam who noticed what you were looking at. his ears suddenly flattened against his head when he couldn’t feel you on his leg anymore.
you got up, having to apply the medication on his back. “turn around.” you said.
he didn’t hesitate, getting his hair out of the way. your held your breath for a second, getting caught off by his muscles.
everyone knew neteyam was an ass guy, but only he knew you preferred back over anything. seeing it all bloody and scarred flipped something in you, but decided to ignore it for now. you hesitantly palmed his back, stroking it slowly with the medication. he flexed a bit more, knowing this was going to push your buttons. you massaged everything, not being able to ignore the size of it.
his back was majestic. there was no other words to describe it.
neteyam relaxed in your hold, breathing deeply. he slowly closed his eyes, almost feeling like falling asleep. as soon as everything gets handled between you two, he was going to make you massage his back every single night after training.
he let out a soft moan, his eyes immediately flashing open, mouth pressing forming a thin line. you raised an eyebrow, looking for him, while he tried to not look at you. he was blushing so hard. you smirked and smacked his back. “you’re done.” you said.
“oh thank you ( y/n ) ! would you mind patching ao’nung’s hand before going ?” ronal said, flashing a smile at you. poor woman, working too hard, you felt too bad. you headed towards ao’nung, feeling neteyam’s eyes burning on your back. he was much more tense.
you got all you needed and took ao’nung hand in yours. you tried to act as stiff as you could, neteyam didn’t have to be so nervous because you had already made up your mind. you applied some herbs on ao’nung’s hand, getting a hiss out of him, as he squeezed your hand. you just noticed how much bigger it was than yours. you concentrated back on the patching.
you slowly and carefully wrapped his hand in some gauze, so none of his cuts could get infected. he saw your eyebrows pinched, concentrated.
he loved the way you were playing with his hand, but he could recognise that you were being a lot more distant than other times. you finished, smiling at him. “done.” you simply said. he patted your head, catching you off guard. “thank you.” he said.
if he wasn’t all patched up, neteyam would’ve ate up that guy again. the audacity.
“oh thank you ( y/n ) ! such a sweet woman you are.” ronal patted you on the back warmly, making your stomach flip at thought of her knowing what happened earlier.
ronal and ao’nung got all their stuff, reassuring you and neteyam that you could close the pod whenever you wanted to. you blushed and thanked her. neteyam was seated on the medical table. ao’nung couldn’t do anything but go with his mother, feeling jealousy boil in his blood.
the pod got quiet. not a single sound coming out of the two of you, only neteyam getting up to sit on the mattress instead. you slowly walked and sat near him. the tension was too heavy, so you decided to get your panem et circenses out, just like roman impearoars did.
you got a cigarette out of your pack, and lit it up. neteyam smirked at you, actually realising you two hadn’t met at the beach in a long time.
you passed it to him, which made you immediately regret it.
seeing neteyam all bloody, patched and smoking was going to be the death of you. and he knew it.
you passed the cigarette between you two, not a word being spoken. you’d have to cleanse the whole place later since it was important to keep this pod clean, but you didn’t mind as long as you could spend time together. you just enjoyed eachother’s company, not having to worry in trying to engage in small talk, y’all were already beyond that step.
as he took the last breath, he pressed the cigarette against the floor, he spoke.
“would you like to talk a bit ?” he said, a soothing tone and a pair of eyes looking for yours. you lightly smiled and nodded.
“you start.” you said, looking at him. he stayed quiet for a few seconds, almost trying to recollect his thoughts. he though about the whole discourse he had in mind, and was so excited to tell you. so he just let his thought flow out of his mouth, no restrains.
“i’m sorry.”
you raised an eyebrow, a smirk appearing on your face. you had no idea of what he was asking forgiveness for.
“for beating ao’nung ?” you suggested.
“fuck no.” he quickly said, jokingly pushing you. you laughed.
“i’m sorry for making you feel that way. you know, the whole object situation…” he said awkwardly. your mouth dropped in an ‘o’ shape realising what he was talking about. the pod got quiet for a second, but he continued.
“i just want you to know, that i’ve never saw you, i don’t see you, and will never see you as an object. i’m not joking. you’re special ( y/n ). seriously. i feel disgusting thinking about how i treated you and made you feel.” he slowly grabbed your hand, catching your attention.
you ears slightly moving upwards, cheeks flushing with heat. he moved his thumb in circular motions, caressing you.
“i’ve never seen anyone as much as i see you. do you understand ? i see you, for fuck’s sake.” you gently gasped, eyes slightly lighting up, trying so hard to hide your smirk.
neteyam has never been good with words and admitting things, but just the fact that he said all of this to you means a lot. you wanted to hug him, and tell him that you forgive him, but is that what you really deserve ?
no, you’re gonna make him beg for it.
his hands rapidly circled your waist, raising you up to seat you on his lap. his hand now on your back holding you. you were so proud of yourself right now for not feeling the need to have this man’s tip in the back of your throat, because oh how attractive he was when he was vulnerable.
“please, please, please. forgive me.” he said. eyes lightly squinted, and oh so desperate. you could already feel heat pool in your cunt, your clit throbbing at any word of his.
“i might as well kill myself if i have to live with the thought that i made you feel bad and you never forgave me. we don’t have to get back together, i could never and will never force you, but only if that’s what you want. you have no idea of how much regret i felt after realising the impact that my words had on you.” he pleaded, you could feel his heart thudding rapidly against your chest. he sounded like he meant it.
would it be too bad to give him a chance ?
“oh really ?” “yes.” he said, without any hesitation.
your hand slowly reached his jaw caressing it, noticing a sparkle in neteyam’s eyes. you guided your head towards his neck, making him hold his breath, eyes flashing.
you lightly kissed his jaw, then his cheek, and then his mouth. he didn’t wait and didn’t fight back. you positioned another light kiss on his lips, feeling his arms roaming on your back.
“i forgive you.” you whispered, positioning your lips against his again hungrily . you felt him smile against your mouth, a hand on his neck deepening the kiss. just a few seconds after, a whine left his mouth, leaving you almost surprised. his cheeks flushed in embarrassment. you smiled, a grin plastered on your face as you slowly dived in the crook of his neck, kissing and biting everything you could.
a soft breath left his lips, still slightly parted. you grabbed his chin, leaving you more space to work on. as you left marks and kisses, he could feel a tent forming in his loincloth, and you being directly over it wasn’t helping. he contained himself from grinding against you, to try and get some friction. you harshly grabbed a piece of his hair, tugging on his scalp.
and that, plus the neck kissed couldn’t hold him from moaning. he had no idea how turned on you were right now. your slick started smearing his loincloth, but you weren’t ashamed one bit.
he bit his lip trying to contain all his sounds, but you untucked it.
“there’s no one here, let me hear every single noise you make. that’s how good boys get prizes.” you whispered, nibbling at his earlobe. he could feeling himself twitching at your ‘good boy’. there were a few times where neteyam played the sub role, but never in his life has he enjoyed it this much.
“are you a good boy, nete’ ?” you asked him, expecting an answer.
“fuck.” he whispered, shaking and whimpering. you suddenly stopped, as he gave you a questioning look. you felt his hands gripping your waist, the teasing getting to his head.
“i said…” you started, looking at him.
“are you a good boy nete’ ?” you finished, a tear threatening to leave neteyam’s eye. he nodded multiple times, trying to convince you to get back to what you were doing. “i need words.”
“yes, ( y/n ). please.” he said, almost sounding like a whisper. you could feel his precum staining your panties, your fluids mixing. his nails started to dig deep into your hip’s flesh.
“good boy.” you trailed your hand, carefully tracing all of his abs, getting a few whines out of him. there’s nothing in the world that neteyam loved more than edging.
getting edged, edging someone, he couldn’t give a fuck. the tension, the teasing, the desperation. he loved it all, seeing someone so close yet so far. not getting what he wants was such a turn on for him. feeling your cunt clench around his fingers desperately after stopping, just a second before your orgasm. seeing your juices flow uncontrollably after tracing back from your clit, his face between your thighs, legs shaking, feeling your thighs about to suffocate him, trying everything to get his face a bit more near your heat. your pussy holding his dick thigh when he pulls your hips down on him, him sliding in you, only to then not move and leave you there squelching and crying. oh he loved it.
he felt your fingers work on his loincloth, he reached out to help you. he suddenly got slapped away, his dick twitching and a gasp leaving his mouth. “hands off, if i see you moving again i will shut everything off.” you said, a serious expression on your face. how he wanted you to use him as your little toy. being that his only purpose.
his loincloth got discarded to somewhere in the room, a smirk on your face when his dick sprung up hitting his abdomen. he hissed at the feeling of cold air hitting his tip, a tear rolling down his cheek. he gripped the sheets, containing himself.
he watched you as your top fell off, leaving your plump tits on display for him, your nipples hard from the coldness of the room. his eyes widened, never getting tired of this show. he slowly guided his hand to his dick, stroking slowly and the grip tightening as he got close to his tip. his mind fogged up when you suddenly slapped him.
his face turned to the left, mouth parted. his grip loosened, his hands back on your waist. he got slapped once again, when you said to not move you weren’t kidding. his bottom lip trembled.
you got up, leaving him there, putting your top on. his heart fell, a guilty look on his face.
“since you can already do anything by yourself, i might as well not be here, right ‘teyam ? i thought you were my good boy ?” you said, making him even more guilty, absolutely loving the show he was putting on for you.
“i- ah! i am, i swear, please.” he crawled to you, wrapping himself over your thigh, he looked up at you. “promise ?” you said, teasing him. “yes, i promise, please- fuck, please.” he cried, heat flushing his cheeks from the embarrassment. he’s never been this desperate before for someone.
you placed him back where he was, getting your loincloth off, your juices already smearing your thighs. you sat on his dick, your folds hugging his shaft, getting a loud moan out of him. he squeezed his eyes shut, not daring to move.
“( y/n ), please, i’m begging you. i’ll do anything, but please.” he cried out, his dick painfully throbbing, his tip so sensitive.
“please, what ?” you asked. he bit his lower lip, ashamed to say anything. as i already said, neteyam has never been good with words, but in this game there no place for difficulties.
“please, fuck me.” he said, lowering his gaze, the sheets about to rip in his hand.
“if only everyone else could see how desperate you are. is this the mighty warrior, hm ?” you said, grabbing his braids, tugging at them, raising his head, as he sobbed. your gaze locked with his teary one, a bit of spit drooling. your degradation plus the hair pulling made him whimper like a little bitch, music to your ears.
“what do you want ? do you want me to fuck you while you moan like a dumb whore ?” you said, with the meanest voice possible, knowing all your mean words were running straight to his dick.
“y-yes.” he confirmed, crying in your hand. he felt embarrassed to admit it, but that's the only way he could've gotten what he wanted, or not. you smiled, grabbing his dick, his head immediately raising hitting the wall behind him. you gave it a few strokes, neteyam’s mouth wide open loud moans falling down.
you gently pushed his tip in your entrance, his abdomen contracting. he already felt so good, stretching you out. he widened his eyes, shocked when he felt you falling on his dick with a sharp fall. you were so tight hugging him, you could still feel him twitching inside of you, a few moans leaving your mouth. you just sat there feeling the full stretch enjoying every second. he got impatient needing you to move, or he’ll probably lose his mind.
“please- move.” he said, feeling his patience slowly thinning out more and more. you were playing with him.
“acting like a strong ass motherfucker only for you to stand below me and beg me like the great warrior you are. what would jake think about you ?” you smirked at him, laughing because you loved making fun of him in these situations, seeing him trying to lower his gaze because he can’t handle the shame but he couldn’t because you were still holding his hair. you tugged his hair once again, feeling him painfully twitch inside of you.
“shit- momma…” he said, his eyes panicking when he realised what he had just said, hiding his face in your hand. your eyebrows raised in a shocked expression, but also very satisfied.
“maybe i’m wrong. what would neytiri think of her son calling another woman mommy ? do you enjoy it ?” you said, making fun of him but he didn’t know you enjoy it much more than he did. your mom didn’t use to like you that muhc, what could anyone expect ?
he got tired but also was so so so turned on, you just were a mean slag, weren’t you ?
“yes ! now PLEASE.” he said grinding himself , slowly thrusting in you, your cheeks warming up.
you pressed his abs down, stopping him from doing anything.
“neteyam. if you do anything again, i am not kidding i will leave you here, in heat and in pain.” you threatened, his eyes widened, his heart thudding fast.
“no, no, no, no, no please fuck- okay ! please just do something.” he said, begging you to not leave him. you threatening him tho… that’s something he didn’t know he would like.
you slowly started thrusting, catching him off guard. he felt his orgasm bubble up in his stomach, leaving you to do all the work. you panted as you felt his tip kissing your cervix. you stabilised yourself on his shoulders, fastening your pace. he moaned and moaned, you made him see stars. the best part of the edging in his opinion, was feeling his orgasm hit him like a truck from all the teasing.
all the edging and teasing made him manage to not last a single second, spurting all of his thickness in you, painting your alls white. your thrusting was more than enough, but your degradation was on another level. he’s 100% sure he could come just from your words, that’s also something he would like to try. his heart threatened to jump out of his ribcage when he felt you not stopping, overstimulating him.
“no- ngh, ( y/n ) stop, enough !” he cried and mumbled, not daring to stop you because only Eywa knows what would happen. “you begged for it, now take it.” you said, not being able to hold off a moan.
he rolled his head, hitting the wall once against, his thighs tensing. he could feel his eyes hurting from how much they were rolled back. fuck, this was too much. a thin layer of sweat covering the both of you. you fucked him dumb, like there was no tomorrow. he loves you, he loves you, he loves you.
this was it, in this exact moment he decided you were going absolutely nowhere.
his mouth opened as a second orgasm hit him, the same time it hit you. you both moaned, riding out your highs, head in the clouds. he calmed himself down as he looked at you, a smile plastered on his face.
not only you fucked him, while he enjoyed everything but you two also talked, solving everything out. things weren’t going to be the exact same as before, but he wouldn’t mind working for it again for you.
you panted, him sliding out of you, your cunt smeared in juices, his cum falling down your legs. he guided his hand to your pussy, a thumb pushing his cum in you. you laughed at his gesture, as you hovered your hand over him, to help him get up. he grabbed it, and got up. you silently wore back all your loincloths, making sure everything was okay.
“want to go swim a bit and get all cleaned up ?” he said, waiting for your reply.
you smiled, realising how much he actually knew you.
“yea, sure.” he smirked at your try to sound like you didn’t care. he grabbed you, bridal style, you gasped when you couldn’t feel your feet on a surface anymore. your arm slithered around his neck, holding yourself on something. you walked out of the pod, noticing it wasn’t night yet. he walked a bit, trying to look for a good spot for the two of you. you were very picky on where you wanted to swim.
he noticed one, as you felt his walk getting faster, getting that he was not going to stop.
“neteyam ?” you questioned, as he suddenly started running towards the sea, gripping you tightly. your eyes flashed when the realisation hit you. “no, neteyam- stop !” you said, but it was too late as he jumped in the water, feeling it hug both of your bodies. you swam to the surface, breathing loudly. he resurfaced, and whipped his hair from side to side. you both laughed as you swam towards him, your legs hugging his waist, his hands reaching to hold you by your thighs, arching your back.
you heard him call his ilu, as it came towards him. you jumped on it, hugging neteyam’s back to hold yourself. he placed a hand on your thigh as you both swam. you laughed at his gesture. he’s his daddy’s son.
as the ilu swam faster, he could feel your hold getting more and more tight. you placed your cheek on his back, getting him all worked up and flustered. these were the kind of moments he never wanted to forget, if he were to die that day he would’ve died a happy man. with his mate, in the ocean, everything in place.
you felt him suddenly stop, reaching a part of the village that reminded him of the forest, his home. he thought it was the time that the two things that made him the most happy would finally meet. he got off the ilu, holding a hand for you to grab on. you helped yourself with it, smiling at him. an arm snaked your shoulders, him guiding you in the place.
you couldn’t stand the beauty of it. the variety of plants, the animals, the peacefulness. this was the kind of places that you loved, in that moment also thinking kiri would’ve gone crazy over a location like this. she missed the forest like crazy, but also did neteyam, and probably everyone else. you saddened at the thought of neteyam leaving his home and having to adapt t a whole new home and habitat. you held him tighter, making him raise and eyebrow and smile. he positioned his head on yours, as you both walked.
“i’m definitely faster than you know, i’ve been training.” you said catching his attention, teasing him.
“nah, you’re not.” he said non chalantly. “you’re a pussy.” you laughed at him, getting a flick of his finger on your forehead in return. “ow !” you complained, as you both laughed. he suddenly grabbed your hand, making you run with him, feeling exactly like in the forest. all the colours, couldn’t help but bring you nostalgia. the sky as clear as it could ever be. you both ran.
running deeply, running wild.
you laughed and joked as you jumped from a place to another, noticing you still were both good at it, even though you didn’t get the chance to do this often. your abilities weren’t much need in the metkayina clan, even though you two were the best in the omaticaya clan.
neteyam was smiling, until he heard a familiar sound making him immediately stop, his ears sprung up, a serious expression on his face as his smile dropped. you suddenly stopped running, noticing he also stopped. you were confused, when he motioned you to not move, only making you more confused.
“could you do me a favour ?” he said, looking at you, cupping your face in his hands, the most serious expression plastered on his face.
“yea sure, what is it ?” you asked curiously, waiting for his response.
“run.”

The Ikranä Maktoyu (‘banshee rider’)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Neteyam x TayrangiClan!Reader
Summary: There was nothing you thought you couldn’t do. So, when the eldest son of Toruk Makto challenges you to a race on your Ikran? Well, you never were one to run from an honest challenge. Especially when you had the fate of your feelings riding on the line.
Note: This is my first Fanfiction for Avatar and specifically WoW. This doesn't follow any sort of plot, so it's not technically necessary to have watched the new movie. Anyways I hope you enjoy xx
Warnings: Fluff, Enemies to Lovers (kind of?), Blood. Kissing? idk. This is a long one. I like to give my fanfics context, ok?? lol
Word count: 4,203
As far as you were concerned you couldn't be any different from the similar blue skinned Navi in front of you. While you were used to more complicated headdresses, and guarded expressions, these Forest children of the Omaticaya clan, wore little and expressed much. Several Tayrangi Clan members and you had journeyed vast from the Eastern Sea to meet with the Omaticaya people and its fairly new leader, Jake Sully.
Your mother had brought you up on the story of Jake Sully's arrival, on how the Toruk Makto had led all the clans together in harmony in order to rid your home planet of the humans who were intent on destroying it. Everything about Omaticaya had fascinated you, but as you grew so did your responsibilities, and now you reserve your emotions to plain passiveness.
This was mostly due to the fact that the people were so much different from your own. Tayrangi had long been separated and socially outcasted due to their spirited independence, and the Omaticaya people had once despised it. However, times had changed, and as your mother fondly admitted to yourself, new beginnings can bring new outlooks.
So, there you sat, trying to hold in any regard of the Omaticaya children in front of you, who had been introduced upon arrival as the Olo'ekytan's children. The youngest and giddiest, Tuktirey, smiled brightly at you as if she noticed your presence for the first time since you had been there.
"Come play with us, y/n! We were just about to go out into the forest." Tuktirey laughed, as she tugged on her elder sister's hand. Kiri looked up at you with a shy smile, and for some reason it made your heart warm.
They were very sweet children, most of them at least. Upon your clan's arrival to the forest, you were bombarded by the sounds of Ikrans all around you. While you were mostly familiar with the sound, the laughter and rambunctious noise as they swooped across the trees startled your clan. Who was behind the wonderful greeting? None other than the eldest of Jake Sully's children, who you were introduced to through a flurry of apologies as Lo'ak and Neteyam.
Each bore a startling resemblance to their kinfolk, and by closer inspection you saw the youngest of the brothers resembled the same five fingered trait as his father. He was the most feigned of the two, which made you suspect this wasn't his first time having to apologize. Neteyam was sincere in his apologies at the least, the perfect mockup as the prodigal son, burdened since birth you could tell.
However, something about Neteyam made your heart race just a little faster. Perhaps it was the way he laughed, and his broad shoulders lifted up ever so slightly. Or maybe it was the way he looked into your eyes, and you felt the weight of the world fall endlessly at your fingertips. Either way, you made sure you kept your feelings in check. You had goals in life, and you wouldn't let some skxwang (idiot, moron) mess it up.
"I was hoping to head near the top of the mountains. It's actually really beautiful to see near sunset." Kiri voiced out, the sound startling you out of your memories, as she looked back to see Tuktirey jumping for joy.
"Mom never lets us go out there before dinner, but maybe she'll let us since you're here!" Tuktirey laughed as she began to beckon us to follow her.
"We can go, but we've got to wait for Spider. He should be here any minute." Kiri rolled her eyes, before glancing back in apology for her sister's rambunctious nature.
"You called?" You heard a male voice call out from behind you, your body jumping in fear. You were used to the rocky shores of your homeland providing you a sense of hearing, but now that you were hidden between the sounds of the forest, you couldn't quite gather your surroundings.
"Spider! There you are, where were you?" Kiri exclaimed, as you watched to see the human jump from a fallen tree limb, as he laughed underneath his mask.
When you had first taken a glimpse of a human on Pandora, it had not been under good circumstances. It was as the RDA had begun to shuffle their way out, but the memories from your older clan members had done enough to make you hold reservations against them. Even though you had been told of Spider's upbringing, you couldn't help but feel as if his alliance did not stand completely still against one side.
Spider glanced your way, a careful nod towards you, before pulling on Kiri's tail in playfulness. Kiri hissed as she smacked him away, him dodging her advances. Before you knew it, they were in their own little world arguing about something leaving Tuktirey to sigh in impatience.
"Guys can you stop! We have to get going!" Tuk complained. Kiri looked up as she glanced your way in apology. She beckoned Spider to follow us, as we began heading through the thick jungle.
You watched in hesitance as the Sully clan leaped and bounded across tree limbs and small streams. Syaksuk (lemurs) danced across the forest vines, their playful voices echoing around as they swung. Every so often Tuk would stop, playing with some sort of creature or fauna before Kiri or yourself would have to get her away from the distractions.
The trek was long, but it resembled your own passages on top of jagged rocks, trying to avoid falling. You laughed as you tried to keep up with the Omaticaya children, your passive disposition beginning to fade away. You actually felt really happy.
At this point in the day the light in the sky was beginning its descent, and you had just reached a parting in the densely bushed trees. Pushing forward, you followed Kiri and the rest stopped at what you could tell was an overlook. Pushing back a stray vine, your eyes widened before looking up.
There it was. Out of everything you had heard of the Omaticaya clan growing up, Ayram Alusing (The floating mountains) was the most magical. Your arrival to the clan had been up these very floating rocks. You could almost see the activity where the clan resided near the Tree of Souls.
"Mons Veritatis." You heard Spider whisper in awe, your gaze settling to where he looked to see one of the tallest mountains you had ever seen. Its top didn't even reach vision, the dense vog settling eerily to the distant calls of the Ikrans.
It made your heart thump in excitement at riding your Ikran across the sky.
"Iknimaya. It is our rite of passage to ride our Ikrans. You do the same right?" Kiri looked over at you, noticing your excitement with a smile.
"Yes, although I'm not sure which is more dangerous." You laughed as Kiri giggled, latching onto Tuk's hand.
"Well, there is only one way to find out."
You were startled by how quickly they began to race across the overlook and jump onto the vines. Your heart began to thump as you scaled the rocks higher up into the sky. You looked down to the steep fall below, wondering if you had just enough time to call for your Ikran to save you if you fell.
You were surprised that with each step it got easier, and even Spider, who was not built for Pandora's harsh terrain, kept up almost effortlessly. Maybe that was why they called him monkey boy.
"We're almost there!" Tuk squealed, as the sound of the Ikrans could be heard louder. The waterfalls were louder too, and you felt a strange lightness as you along with the rest of the group slowed down as you neared an alcove.
"There they are." Kiri said, pointing over to the left side of us where the Ikrans nested. The backdrop the rest of the way was beautiful as the Sun began to hang low, and the outline of the gas giant was visible.
You felt yourself wanting to ride your Ikran Payngyì , remembering that the hangar in which she resided was not too far away, and perhaps you could reach her.
Before you could debate it further a call could be heard, the voice sounding familiar, as you began to recall back to before and your arrival to Omaticaya.
Neteyam.
His Ikran soared across the sky, the multicolored blues of its wings casting shadows in the sky. Neteyam held strong to his Ikran, a symbol of good ability and you couldn’t help but feel your heart race at the sight. He swooped below, somehow spotting us in the little opening that we stood.
Spider began whooping, before you looked over to see Kiri rolling her eyes.
“It’s so obvious he’s trying to show off.” Kiri snarked, the signature fourteen year old attitude dripping off of her like hot honey. You couldn’t help but chuckle, before looking back towards Neteyam.
He now perched his Ikran where we were, his hushed whispers calming the still active creature. Looking over towards us, he swung his legs off the Ikran, before lifting his Ionar (rider's mask) and grinning.
“So, how long until Mom punishes you guys for being up here now?” Neteyam laughed at his siblings, before looking over at you. He pushed his head forward, and signaled a greeting. “Oel ngati kameie”
You felt your face heat up, as you returned the gesture haphazardly. “Oel ngati kameie.” Usually it came to you like clockwork, but you were quickly starting to realize even everyday tasks came awkward and jumbled when he was around.
Neteyam shifted his head in curiosity, before looking back at his siblings. “You know this won’t be a good impression to the Tayrangi clan if we keep breaking rules.”
“No. That was you and L’oak. Y/n wanted to be here.” Kiri sassed, knocking Neteyam over the head who groaned in playfulness.
“Mom will let us be here if y/n is here. She is a fierce hunter!” Tuk replied looking up to her older siblings.
Neteyam looked back at you, and the same expression graced his face. Can he seriously stop staring at me like that? It’s like he’s looking into my soul. You thought quietly, albeit returning his stare.
“Is that so?” Humor now splashing his face as he laughed. You frowned at his obvious display of mockery. “Pray tell me, where’s your Ikran now?”
Something in you snapped and whatever ounce of female gaze you had for him went away, and a competitive nature overtook you. “Where your clan resides. Why do you sound so shocked?”
Neteyam’s eyes lit as he watched you begin to challenge him with your voice. Something about the way your eyes squinted, or the way your soft lips titled in a scowl made his heart race in excitement.
Ever since your arrival he couldn’t help but find any way of talking to you, being near you, anything. He would be lying if it wasn’t driving him mad, especially when his siblings were beginning to pick up on it.
“I’m not. I just…” Neteyam paused thinking about his words before smiling deviously. Your head tilted as you began to realize what he was about to ask you.
“Do you care for a race? Since you’re a fierce hunter, I’m sure you and your Ikran can make a fine challenge for mine.” Neteyam crossed his arms, his mouth trying to hide the obvious nature of trying to get you to blow your temper.
“Now I would pay to see that.” Spider laughed looking over to Kiri who was shaking her head.
“Alright, what are the odds then?” You replied, your hand already itching to latch onto Payngyì.
“If you win, I’ll cover for you in case we get into trouble after this.” Neteyam shook his head in humor.
“And if I don’t, what… I’ll be thrown off the mountains for all of eternity?” You laughed.
Neteyam smiled widely before shaking his head. He began to walk towards you, and the feelings that you had pushed back in place of competition started coming back all at once. He leaned down, a wonderful scent invading your nose before whispering in your ear. “You owe me a date.”
You tried to hold in the gasp that threatened to push out, your head which had been cast down tilting up toward his own, very near face. “Deal.” You whispered. You watched as the corner of his eyes crinkled in amusement, the ghost of his touch passed your waist, before standing back. “Call to your Ikran.”
You wasted no time in standing closer to the edge, letting out your familiar call in hopes Payngyì would hear. You were right, as a few moments later her beautiful light blue figure flapped its wings and perched with a sounding screech.
You walked over to her, the beautiful golden shade of her pupils dilated as you gazed into her, petting her slowly in greeting. You looked over to Neteyam with a nod. “What are the parameters?”
Neteyam points out past the Tree of Souls to where a carefully arched connection of vines floated two mountains. “Over there, a little stretched away from where the camp is.”
You looked at him curiously, and he seemingly read your mind in the instant it crossed your face.
“Trust me it will be a challenge. The mountains move quickly, and you have to be careful to not hit anything.” Neteyam walked over to his Ikran, leaping up onto it.
You climbed up on your own, latching onto the Tsaheylu (bond/connection), feeling Payngyì screech, and her breath beginning to pump as she anticipated your next move.
“You can do it y/n!” You heard Tuk cheer, looking over you watched Kiri look at you with careful caution.
“Be careful. My brother is stupid, but he knows these mountains well. As much as it pains me to say it, he is one of the best hunters.” Kiri grimaced, Neteyam cheering out in response to her compliment.
“Are you ready, y/n?” Neteyam looked over at you with a wide smile.
You couldn’t help your own smile grace your face, nodding before him.
“I will see you at the finish line, then.” He winked, and suddenly you had forgotten there ever was a race, before watching as he dove his Ikran down, and upwards into the sky.
“Oh sh-” You exclaimed with a huff, following after him, the legs of Payngyì tightening, her wings closing in downwards. You felt the gust of air and you were suddenly very laser focused on winning. Not because the bullshit win might not guarantee you a harsh scolding afterwards, but simply to beat Neteyam. A man that was so intently after your own heart. And winning.
You saw him not too far in the distance, realizing there had to be a shortcut or some way to catch up to him and gain more speed. You tightened your hold on Payngyì, her voice squawking out as you nearly collided with a mountain that was moving closer to your right side. You banked left, realizing the air was a lot similar to that of the Eastern Sea.
Before in races, you would use the wind speed to gain traction by going downwards and upwards. This worked even better, once you realized that Neteyam in the distance was having to lose traction to weave through the mountains.
“Come on Payngyì.” You whispered, feeling her move exactly what you had in your mind, soaring upwards and downwards, before realizing you were nearing the tree of souls and the archway.
Neteyam glanced behind you with a fierce look in his eyes, before banking off and passing behind a particularly large mountain. You frowned realizing the same mountain that was coming left was now barreling toward you. You gasped narrowly escaping the bottom as you dived downward.
You must have startled Payngyì, because now she strained on your hold, and you could feel the fear in the bond. She began to slow down much to your disappointment, as you tried to push her forward.
All of the sudden you heard Neteyam fly past you from the opposite side he had come from. Payngyì, who had already been startled by the unfamiliar mountains, saw the shadow of his Ikran and screeched before diving again this time barreling towards the cliffs. You screamed, urging your Ikran to pull up but to no avail.
Neteyam must’ve seen the whole thing as you heard him call out to you. “Quickly this way!” He cascaded his own Ikran near the rocks, trying to keep Payngyì from hurting herself. In the process of pushing your own away from the cliffs, you watched as his shoulder scratched against jagged rocks, his skin tearing up. “Shit.” He swore.
“Neteyam!” You yelled, sighing in relief as he managed to pull his own Ikran away from the cliffs and fly smoothly next to mine. “Are you alright?”
“Yes…” He groaned, his injured arm locking up as his face squinted into a scowl. “I think-hold on…”
“Neteyam… do we need to stop?” You replied in concern, worried for the fact that his injury had begun to slowly bleed.
“Uh yeah…maybe…” His words now stuttering, looking at you in embarrassment. “Look, let's not go back to camp, I won’t be able to make my promise to you if we do.”
“If I was that worried about that Neteyam, I wouldn’t have agreed to this race.” I huffed. “Where do you want to go? You need care, you’re going to bleed out.”
“No, I know a place.” Neteyam grimaced, beckoning you to follow him. “Follow me.”
You grappled at the possibility of finishing the race or saving Neteyam, as you realized the way he was taking you was straight past the archway. He’s going to win, and I’ll owe him a date. You shook your thoughts from your mind, realizing any race or date was far from the task at hand, and making sure Neteyam is safe was more of a priority.
You sailed through the sky, the sun now setting, and the realization that your own mother and clan will be very disappointed if you embarrassed them by arriving past curfew. “Shouldn’t we just go back? I just don’t understand how any place we’re going will help you or anyone’s case.”
Neteyam, who had gone quiet, shook his head. “There is a place on the ground near the tree of souls not far from camp. Our ancestors used to go there because it possessed great healing powers. That’s where we get most of our medicine.”
You stared at him, his braided hair flying in the wind and his eyes focused intently on the mission ahead. It made you realize just how deeply he knew about his clan, and the role he knew he would have to serve one day. It made you look at him differently, and not just as a headstrong boy. He was a leader, he would be their savior one day.
As you neared the forest floor you saw a few spirit trees up ahead and a small rocky alcove. Resting both of your Ikrans on the floor, you realized the forest was beginning to come alive with its beautiful glow.
Neteyam grumbled, holding onto his arm loosely before looking up at me. “Uh.. if you grab some of those nearby plants-” You held up a hand, taking over realizing this routine was much similar to that of your clan near the Eastern Sea. Many times, you had to seek out ways to produce medicine for your injured clan, and the forest was no different.
“Sit down.” You ordered, pushing him down his mouth beginning to move in protest. “It’s the least I could do. You saved my life.” You looked down at him before turning back and grabbing some plants to make some sort of salve.
“Thank you.” You heard Neteyam quietly speak, feeling his eyes staring intently at your back. Your face heated up, grabbing a nearby rock and beginning to mash a few plants together.
You turned around, meeting his eyes who looked almost fascinated at you. You scrunched your face, and for the first time voiced your opinion. “Why do you always stare at me like that?”
“Like what?” Neteyam whispered, the nearness of your body to his and possibly the loss of blood making his voice go hoarse.
“Like…you’ve known me all your life or something.” You began applying the makeshift salve to his cuts, making him hiss in alarm. “Stop moving.”
“Well sometimes I think I do. You’re unlike anyone I’ve ever met.” Neteyam reached out his free hand, stopping you in your tracks. Your ears flicked in curiosity, before you shrugged his hand off of yours so you could continue. “Why do you ignore me?”
“I don’t.” You frowned, now suddenly very intent on helping bandage his arm, and stop from blurting out every ounce of feeling you have all at once. “You just-” You paused before continuing. “All the other boys in my clan have never once been so intent on getting my attention. Not that I want it but- you seemingly always do. And I-”
“Secretly like it?” You scoffed watching Neteyam’s mouth form into a wide smile.
“You’re a skxawng you know that?” You hissed, wrapping the bandage a little tighter against his arm much to his chagrin. At this point in his bandaging process, you had knelt next to him, and not realizing your nearness to him until you looked up to see his face so close to yours.
You inhaled that wonderful scent again and this time there was nothing to pull either of you away from each other. Neteyam closed in first, wrapping his uninjured hand onto your cheek softly, pulling you in for a kiss.
Wow. You thought to yourself. His lips were just as delicate as you had imagined them to be, yet strong and firm. You felt yourself move your own lips against his until both of you were passionately locked in one another. You felt his arm slide against your waist as you gasped, pulling you into his lap. Your mouth moved fervently against his, feeling the way he groaned beneath you. Something about the moment was complete bliss, and suddenly you were far away from your worries and goals in life, and all you wanted to do was to be wrapped in his arms for all eternity.
It all came to a halt when you felt his bandage arm try and glide against your body to pull you further down before the pain tore through. “Damn it!” Neteyam cursed, as you both pushed away in alarm. Your eyes widened as you  fell away from his arms looking frightened at hurting him, but also at what had just transpired.
Looking around you realized it was now nightfall and most definitely one skip away from being permanently grounded forever. The spirit trees moved as the wind passed them by, a few sacred seeds falling around both of you, most definitely aware of what had just transpired from you.
“I’m sorry.” Neteyam apologized, his breath still uneven, and his mouths a bit swollen from your own lips. If it had been any other situation you would have climbed back into his arms, but you realized you definitely should be heading back. Getting up from your position, your hand reached to grab his uninjured one.
“We should get going.”
Neteyam stuttered before grabbing onto your hand and standing next to you. “I- Don’t you want to talk about what just happened?” His hand swept across his face. “So does this mean…?”
“I-” You were at a loss for words. “I don’t know.”
Neteyam laughed before shaking his head. “You are unlike any female I’ve met.”
You bit your lip as you shook your head, laughing with him. “Look, I’m not sure if I’m-”
“Before you say anything.” Neteyam said, grabbing your arm to keep you from walking away. “Can I take you out on that date anyways? Since I figured it was a tie, and I was going to try and cover for you anyways.”
“I don’t think anything will save either of us from punishment, Neteyam.” You chuckled, shaking your head, before turning around and making your way back to your Ikran to fly back to camp.
“So?” Neteyam called back to you, as you heard his steps race toward your own. You turn around watching as he got closer and everything that had just transpired came rushing in.
“Yes.” You smiled. You realized there was nothing stopping you from him. You spent so much of your life running from love because you thought it would stop you from achieving your goals in life. That was until you met Neteyam, and suddenly you couldn’t imagine your life without him. You were hopelessly in love. “As long as you promise you can kiss me just like before.”
Neteyam grinned, before nodding, grabbing your waist and pulling you in close. “Deal.”
And just like that, you had fallen for the Ikranä Maktoyu, with no chance of catching yourself either.

Do you still hate me?
MDNI!!🔞
w/c: 2.7k
Pairing: Aged!Up!Neteyam x Fem!Omatikaya!Reader
Warnings: explicit smut, enemies to lovers, reference of rape, fist fighting, mean Neteyam, dominant Neteyam, cussing, some degrading/dirty talk, porn w plot, I think that’s it??
Summary: enemies to loverssss w Neteyam! Lo’ak is your best friend and it’s caused a rift between you and Neteyam. Hatefulness turns into desire.
A/n: Hey guys! Just wanna let everyone know that I’m only gonna be writing porn w plot lol. So all my character are aged up. I like to have a backstory that builds up the tension, I think it’s so much better but I’m sorry if you think it’s too long or it’s not your thing! Also PLEASE send me ALL your requests and I will do them but please note that I’m only gonna be doing pairings with Jake, Neteyam, and Lo’ak. Enjoy!! 😘
“Hey, wait up!” you call out to Lo’ak. You two were exploring the forest of Pandora, a pastime you’ve both always enjoyed since you were little kids.
“Keep up loser! Not waiting on your skxawng ass!” he yells, not looking back and continuing to run and leap along the terrain.
You and Lo’ak were best friends, platonic soulmates really. Y’all were known for your mischievous behavior and carefreeness, though it’s toned down a lot now at your ages, you being 20 and him being 21. He liked to tease you and call you a baby although he was only older by a few months. Typical Lo’ak behavior.
Growing up you could always count on him for a good time, he was always making you laugh and cutting up with you after your daily schooling and duties were done. The grown ups and your parents would tease you both that you would grow up to be mates. You both thought ‘ewwww’ to that and still do. You loved him very much but not in that way. You were never jealous over each other, you both could talk about your crushes and so forth. There was a sense of respect in your friendship, and being okay that you were just friends and y’all truly didn’t want to ruin that friendship with anything romantic.
Now huffing and puffing and hunching over to catch your breath, you finally caught up to him since y’all were at the edge of the cliff now, right beside a waterfall. It was beautiful.
You stepped to the edge and he playfully tapped you as if pretending to push you off. You get into a play stance and aim to grab his tail. “Skxawng!” you laugh.
“Coming from you?!” he counters. “Hey, mom said she was making teylu tonight, your favorite. Come eat?”
You consider it for a second. Your parents often complained you were at the Sully’s too much, especially when Lo’ak invited you for dinner. And there was also gonna be Neteyam over there… the grumpiest asshole who often tested your patience. But you thought of the mouth-watering teylu and forgot about everything else.
“I guess so. Not because you asked but because I want teylu.” you teased. He just rolled his eyes with a smile and you two headed back to the Sully’s hut.
Back at the hut, you and Lo’ak entered in. “Y/n! I’m glad to see you, will you help me finish dinner?” Neytiri asked. She’s always liked you. “Of course!” you smiled.
After you two finished making dinner, she called everyone to come gather to eat in a circle. You took your usual place next to Lo’ak. Then Neteyam walks into the room. He makes eye contact with you and instantly tenses up. He looks away and resumes his broodiness. He was always like this around you. You would catch him laughing and being carefree around others, but it seemed like he absolutely hated you. Like your presence just sickened him. You couldn’t understand why though, all you ever were was nice to him. So now you do hold a grudge against him as all your efforts to be nice have done nothing.
Everyone ate dinner and made small talk about their days. You avoided eye contact with Neteyam of course. “Thank you for dinner mom, it’s delicious.” Neteyam says. “Thank you son but y/n helped me with it, she deserves some appreciation too!” Neytiri chirps.
Neteyam slowed his chewing and looked over at you. “Thank you, y/n” he mumbles. The tension is palpable and the silence is awkward. Everyone knows Neteyam doesn’t take well to you, though they don’t understand why.
After dinner, everyone starts cleaning and doing their own thing as they get ready for bed and settle down. You were looking for Lo’ak and about to cut the corner as you heard him and Neteyam speaking. You freeze and listen closely.
“Why do you always bring her for dinner? You know it’s family time. And plus don’t you ever get tired of being with her all the time?” Neteyam spits.
“Bro, why do you hate her so much? She’s done nothing to you and she’s my friend. Get over yourself,” Lo’ak storms away and before you can move your hiding spot, he runs right into you. You were definitely caught listening and he sees your hurt face. He ushers you away where Neteyam can’t hear or see you and starts trying to calm you. It doesn’t work much and you decide to just head home since you feel so unwanted there. Lo’ak offers to walk you back but you decline and say you want to blow off some steam on your walk by yourself.
As you were walking, all these thoughts were going through your head. You were distracted and not paying attention to your surroundings. Then you hear chuckling and low voices. You turn around and see two guys who you recognize but don’t know their names.
“Hey pretty girl, what’re you doing out here so late and all alone?”
The other one approaches you and you try to back up but are backed into a tree. He slides his finger underneath the strap of your top and smiles menacingly at you. “It seems like she wants some attention, huh? Like she’s asking for it..” they chuckle.
Your eyes are wide with fear and adrenaline is coursing through your veins as the realization sets in that you are in serious danger. You regret not letting Lo’ak walk you home.
Then suddenly the one closest to you is stripped away and falls to the ground. It takes you a minute to recognize who it is now punching him ruthlessly and you see that it’s… Neteyam?
The other one tries to get Neteyam off his friend but then he gets sucker punched into the oblivion. You’re just gawking but then finally snap into reality. “Neteyam, stop!!”
He hears your plead and stops. He raised up slowly and is peering down at the guys with their faces bleeding now. “Stay the fuck away from her or next time I’ll kill you both.”
They scatter off and don’t say a word. You’re breathing heavy because a lot just happened. You glance at Neteyam and he holds your gaze as his chest heaves up and down. He turns and starts walking away. Where is he going after what just happened??
“Neteyam, wait!” You run up and grab his arm to turn him to you. His eyes bore into your soul. There’s just a moment of silence as you try to think of the words to say.
“T-thank you for saving me… from those guys” You look down at the ground because you can’t hold his intense eye contact.
He barely nods his head in response and backs away. “You shouldn’t be out here alone this late. Stupid girl. And maybe you should put some more clothes on, you leave nothing to the imagination” He scolds.
Stupid? This was his fault! And commenting on your lack of clothes?? Hell no. “Then next time don’t save me, mighty warrior.” You mocked. “I don’t need you and you don’t impress me like you do everyone else. And you’re not the boss of me”
He just chuckled. “No but if you were mine you would know who was boss.” He towered over you.
Huh? This is outrageous and the most you and Neteyam have ever talked and this is how it goes??
“You’re CRAZY” you shout and push him hard on his chest. “I hate you.” You push him again.
His ears fold back. He can’t hold back anymore.
He grabs both your forearms and pulls you all the way to him and bends down to your ear. “You know what, sevin? I hate you too.” He pulls back and his eyes lock on yours. “I hate how bad I’ve wanted you for so long and you would never even look my way. Too occupied with my brother. I bet you’ve already let him fuck you. I could almost kill him for the fact you’ve always chosen him and not me.” He’s near trembling from a mixture of anger, hurt, and desire.
The truth was he hated seeing you with Lo’ak so much because it was a constant reminder that you weren’t with him. It frustrated him that Lo’ak was the one who got to spend time with you and make you laugh. It should be him, not his baby brother.
His confession has you dizzy, confused and breathless. You couldn’t believe what he just said and questioned if you were in a dream for a second. But no, this was real. Your body was betraying you by being hot all over from his scent in your nose and his breath falling on your skin.
His eyes are searching yours for answer, for anything. You really are just speechless though. He sighs and let’s go of you, ashamed. He goes to walk away and you grab him again to swing him around toward you.
“I’m sorry…” you reach up to hold his cheek with a light touch. “I didn’t know…” your voice cracks a little. “You should’ve told me, you idiot.” You pause for a second, “Lo’ak has not had me. Nobody has.” You confess.
You feel like you’re having an out of body experience but it feels so right. Maybe you were too tired but you honestly felt that Neteyam was being genuine. This realization quickly turned into need.
You go up on your toes to surprise him with a kiss. It’s sweet and warm. You loved the taste of him. You wanted more.
“I’m so sorry, y/n. I have handled this wrong and I am an idiot.”
He swooped back down to press another kiss on you. You open your mouth a little to let his tongue swipe in. The feeling goes straight down to your core that’s gaining more and more slick.
He pulls back and takes a deep breath in. “I smell you, tiyawn. You smell like heaven.” You blush at the fact that your body can’t lie to him. You do want him, want him bad. Even after all his bullshit. But you decided to put your pride aside.
“I need you, Neteyam. Please” you beg. His eyes turn from gentle to dark. Not in the way you’re used to seeing, but dark in a way that was primal. Like a predator watching it’s prey.
“Are you sure?”
You nod yes. He wastes no time and swoops you up bridal style. You look at him with questioning eyes as to where you’re going. “What’s the matter, sevin? Thought I was gonna take you right here for everyone to hear and see?”
Once he finds a nice secluded spot with cushiony moss, he lays you down swiftly on it.
“You have no idea how long I’ve waited for this,” he lowers himself on you and plants sloppy kisses on your neck and collar bone. Your breath quickens.
“You’ve no idea how long you’ve visited me in my dreams” he kisses lower, hand snaking up under your top to reveal your breasts.
“Fuck” he breathes. He squeezes his eyes shut and his head drops down. “I could almost cum at the sight of you”
He latched onto one nipple, gently nibbling on it with his teeth. He takes the other in his finger and starts pulling, pinching, rolling.
“Oh!” You cry out and arch back.
“That’s right, syulang. Gonna make you feel so fucking good”
He starts kissing down your stomach and around your hips as he unties your loincloth and slides it down.
“Fuckkk. You’re soaked, y/n. All for me?”
You nod frantically. He grins and gathers some slick from your aching cunt. It glistens on his fingers as he admires it. He sucks them clean.
“So sweet. So fucking sweet”
He lowers himself down to let his face hover over your sex, pulling your soft, plush thighs on top of his shoulders. He looks up at you through his eyebrows and starts feasting.
Electricity courses through your veins and you feel high. “Neteyammm” you whine pathetically. He continues lapping you up and the sounds are straight up sinful. You didn’t want it to ever end.
“Don’t stop!!” You cry. He just moans and groans on you, sending vibrations through you, hitting the spot.
You feel the high coming, it feels overwhelming and all consuming. You have no control over your body now, he has you completely.
“Gonna cum!! Neteyam!!” You pant and squirm, trying to get out of his hold.
He inserts a finger into your hole, “Cum on my face, pretty girl”. His low voice and words send you over the edge. You see stars and your eyes roll back to your head.
“HOLY FUCK!” You scream. He lets you ride out your orgasm on his fingers and face. He’s now covered in all your juices and licks up as much as he can.
“Shit, y/n. Wanna taste you forever” he groans.
You’re panting trying to catch your breath. Eyes half lidded and looking delirious. He raises up and you shift your gaze down to his tented bulge. “Show me” you point with a weak finger.
He flashes a big grin. “Being bossy are we? Who’d I tell you was the boss around here?”
You roll your eyes and softly chuckle. “Please Neteyam. Don’t tease me.” You wiggle towards him and open wide. You look up at him with siren eyes. The playfulness in him goes away and is replaced with hunger once again. He unties his loincloth and tossed it to the side. You bite your lip in anticipation.
He lines up his cock with your entrance and pushes in. The stretch was so good, as he brushed past all the right places. You looked at him and you both held eye contact, staring into each others souls. As he pushed and pushed you both shared looks of pain and pleasure, mouths agape and eyes fixated on the other. He finally bottomed out as far he could go, you couldn’t believe how full you were. Full of Neteyam, your worst enemy. Or so you had thought.
“Ready tìyawn?”
“Yes!! Go!!” You beg. He pulls out and slams back in.
“Oh, fuck!!” You yell. He starts a pace that has you losing your mind. He lowly groans and occasionally grunts.
“I wonder what your best friend Lo’ak would think about you under me, huh?”
You can only manage to moan in response. You can’t think about anything but your pleasure and Neteyam’s dick stuffed inside you.
He grabs your face and gets nose to nose. “Tell me, will Lo’ak ever get to see you so needy under him like this?” He never stops with his pace, skin steadily slapping and breaths and whines collecting in the air.
“N-no. We’re just friends” you whisper.
“Promise??”
“Yes!!! Please Neteyam!”
“Please what?”
“Make me cum!!”
He growls at your needy plea and fucked out appearance. He speeds up and buries his face in your neck. He’s losing it and feels his own release approaching.
“Shittttt, y/n. You feel so damn good. Please don’t let this be the last time I ever get to be in this pussy” he breathes on you.
You’re so fucked out you can barely form a complete thought but you understand his request. “It’s yours Neteyam! All yours!!”
He moans in appreciation. You feel the coil about to burst and hold onto him tight as he rocks into you ruthlessly.
“Neteyam!!”
“Mmmmmmm” he’s muffled from being in the crook of your neck.
You both cum at the same time, spasming on each other. He releases his load inside you and you take it in greedily while you come down from your climax. He stills and goes limp on you.
“Do you still hate me?” He jokes.
You roll your eyes and swat him playfully. “The bigger question is how are we gonna tell Lo’ak?”
“We’ll worry about that later. For now, sleep.” He kisses your head and you both fall asleep on each other peacefully surrounded by the forest.

Refuge
Tumblr media
part 1 | next
aonung x !Sully! reader.
Word count: 4.7k
Language: Tsahík- spiritual leader of the clan, Skxáwng - idiot
description: Your family seeks refuge with the Metkayina clan. You are met with a boy that takes your breath away but you did not know the sadist that lived under those eyes. He was cruel and mean too your sibling and you so why did your heart still beat for him? Why is he more gentle when it comes too you?
Tumblr media
Exhaustion, the only word to describe how you felt after the days of traveling to the reefs clans home. You payed no mind to the na’vi’s gathering around as you landed your ikran. Hopping off all you felt was a overwhelming uncomfortable feeling as the sand seemed to burn your feet and the suns fire danced across your body. There were no trees to hide yourself no soft grass to calm the ache of your feet as the grains of sand seemed to be on fire. The heat was unbearable and it only seemed to get more suffocating as the crowd around you thickened.
Your father approached with his hands up showing you meant no hard as he approached the people. You lazily followed behind him feeling discouraged and weak from your travels. Kiri seeming to notice your state took your hand in hers giving it a comfortable squeeze. She led you to stand behind your parents, being a good big sister and guiding you. Lo’ak and Neteyam were right next to them allowing the strange Na’vi to examine them. You could not understand how your older brothers were always so bold never lacking confidence. It was funny because Lo’ak was born just a few minutes ahead of you but the two of you could not be anymore different.
Suddenly the crowd parted as a clearly entitled na’vi made his was to the front. His eyes seemed to burn into your family as he scanned you all. You did not miss how he ignored your brothers greeting simply staring through them as if they were not even there. Normally you would feel offended but you could not seem to process the boys disrespect as you eyes scanned his body. He was not like the Omaticaya warriors you were use too seeing, he had a strong large build with a tatoo from his neck to bicep. A feeling of desire swirled in your belly as you took him , Eywa he was beautiful.
Seeming to notice your state his menacing ocean eyes met yours. He scanned your body as if he was taking in every detail. You had not realized you were holding your breath until his gaze tore away from you as he turned to talk to a shorter na’vi. A snickers left his lips as he turned back to you and your sister motioning to your tails. Suddenly your stomach dropped as embarrassment took over, hiding next to kiri you attempted to shield yourself from their gazes. Their laughing did not last long though as a beautiful na’vi hit them both as she whispered a scolding you could not hear.
Looking to your brother you saw him take her in with a awestruck gaze. You could not help but giggle at Lo’ak obviousness as you watch him, god your twin was such an skxáwng. The Amused feeling soon vanished as the chief made a grand display announcing his arrival. Nerves took over as your father conversed with the chief and your mother and the Tsahík butted heads. Suddenly the intimidating woman was making strides towards you and kiri and every bone in your body told you too flee as you tensed.
“Look at these tails they will be useless in the water!” Grabbing your tail harshly she examined it with her hands almost as if making a point. Letting out a faint cry of pain you were quick to take your tail back an annoyed expression painted on your face. The woman paid no mind as she continue to rudely take your sisters and Lo’aks hand and lift them in the air.
“They have demon blood!” Voice accusatory she embarrassed your sibling. You felt your blood boil as you watched her, how dare she! A hiss escaped your lips as you stared at the woman fury in your eyes but your father was quick to take the attention away from your act of disrespect. He displayed his hand countering her point and leaving her silent. The woman made her way back to her husbands side and as if they were communicating with their eyes they looked to each-other. You wished they did not grant you uturu after that dehumanizing display but your father seemed please with the outcome. All you felt was sadness weigh down your heart, wishing you were home.
“My daughter Tsireya and my son Ao’nung will teach your kids the way of are people.” At the news the young girl seemed to light up her smile lightning your mood slightly. Her excitement was contagious you could not deny that. The boy with the ocean eyes did not seem as please as words of defilement left his lips but he was quickly shut down. You could not deny that you were slightly exited to have such an attractive teacher, especially if you had to go through an iknimaya again. It felt foolish going through a rite of passage at 18 but you must learn the way of these people.
Tsireya was full of joy as she helped you take your stuff to your pod. You felt a slight comfort watching her prance along. Though your amusement did not last long as your arms seemed to scream at the weight of your load, arms slightly shaking. You moved slower than the others with similar loads to you but you were the only one who seems to struggle. Strength had never been your fortes, you became a warrior because of your speed definitely not raw strength, unlike your brothers.
“Your flimsy arms can’t even hold such a small load.” You felt a blush cascade over your face as his ocean eyes pierced yours. The boy you knew as Ao’nung had a smirk plastered across his face as he looked back at you clearly amused by your struggling.
“I-I am fine” The lie left your lips in a tone filled with struggle. You felt embarrassed that his first impression of you was a weak na’vi who could not even haul her load. The man only shot you an unimpressed look as he walked towards you. Ao’nung only shot you a glare that made your stomach flip nervously as he lightened your load, taking a few things from your grasp. A sigh of relief left your lips as you slightly jogged to catch up the na’vi already a few strides ahead of you.
“Thank you!” A smile threatened to breach your lips as you looked at the boy.
“Don’t think much of it forest girl, I do not like you freaks in my village.” As his words hit your ears you felt your ears droop. The temporary happiness quickly vanished as you were at a lost for words gaze casted away. What a great start to your life in the clan….
Tumblr media
It had been 2 days since your arrival and today was to be the first training in the Metkayina way. You were suppose to meet Roxto Tsireya and Ao’nung near the ilu saddles. You were filled with excitement as you walked next to Lo’ak to the locations as Kiri and Neteyam led, Tuk had her own personal tutor due to being 12 years she would not need to learn some of the things her older siblings were. You had no fears for your little sister as you anticipated your own lessons, hoping to feel a little less useless in these foreign lands.
“God, your excitement is gonna make me puke.” Slightly pushing you Lo’ak rolled his eyes playfully.
“Don’t act as if you are not filled with joy to see the chiefs daughter!” Teasing your twin you pinched his cheek as he hissed.
“As if I have not seen you eyeing the future chief.”
“How-”
“I am your twin y/n we are different but I know you as if you are myself.”
A blushed painted your cheeks as you avoided your brothers knowing gaze. You knew twin telepathy was a myth but moments like these you felt as if the boy could read your mind.
“Whatever.” Quickening your pase you caught up with Neteyam and Kiri hoping to join their conversation to avoid Lo’aks teasing. Your twin only laughed at your actions jogging to catch up too the three of you. Kiri and Neteyam shot the both of you a questioning look but payed no mind as they approached a waiting Tsireya.
“Oh, good morning! I have been waiting, the boys are already in the water.” After a short sweet greeting the girl ushered the 4 of you into the water. She dived in so gracefully it left you slightly taken aback. How could someone be so effortlessly perfect?
Lo’ak who wore a similar expression wasted no time to jump in with Neteyam. The two boys made whoops as they splashed in the water, it was an ungraceful sight compared to Tsireyas display. Slightly hesitant you looked to kiri for reassurance and your older sister gave you just that. Taking your hand in hers you both walked to the edge launching yourself into the water.
As the water calmed around you your eyes prided opened taking in your surrounding. If you were not underwater the sight itself would have taken your breath away, it was beautiful. Kiri, who also seemed entranced by the beauty shared your look of awe. You did not bother to stop your sister as she wandered away knowing the girls entrancement with wild life, you simply followed your brothers in front of you. You took the chance they went up for air to call too then allowing them to stop and wait for you.
“Hurry y/n these guys are fast as hell!” Lo’aks voice called out as he grabbed your arm pulling you towards them. Neteyam had his face in the water watching the na’vi below you.
“They are doing weird signs but I think they want us to follow.” Neteyam informed you as he took a deep breath and dove back in. You felt a wave of dread as he did so feeling your lungs already burn. Resentfully you took a deep breath and followed the boys, but it was no hope as the Metkayina were far too fast and could hold their breath for much longer. Before you knew it the three of you were back at the surface gasping for breath.
“I-I can not” You spat out between breath as you looked at you brother. They shot you a sympathetic look before the other breached the water next to you.
“You are not good divers, maybe good at swinging through trees-” Interrupting her brothers rude comment Tsireya smacked him on his head. You could not help but let a weak giggle out in between your struggle to catch your breath.
“We do not understand this finger talk.” Said Neteyam.
“We will teach you.” Tsireya said in a calm voice as she looked at each one of you. You caught Ao’nung rolling his eyes in the back, it was no doubt that he was not happy to be lumped in.
“Where is kiri?” Suddenly the boy Roxto asked as he looked around the group.
“She is near where we dove in.”
“We’ll then let’s head there, you guys need breathing practice” With a giggle Tsireya dove back into the water leading the way. A full body sigh left you lips, knowing you would have to go under again.
“Don’t drown on the way back forest girl.” You felt hot breath on your neck as the familiar voice of Ao’nung spoke so close to you. Goosebumps seemed to rise on your skin where his breath touched. You had no words to say as you turned to look at the ocean blue eyes that were soon torn away from your gaze as he dove under.
“Skxáwng!”
𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅
After what seemed like hours of swimming you made it back too shore. Your stamina was far from small yet you felt a slight drowsiness overtake you as you walked onto the beach. It was almost as if your lungs were tired, a feeling you had not felt before. You were most grateful that your new activity did not include holding your breath but learning to breath. You would be lying if you said you did not find Tsireyas explanation confusing, weren’t you breathing right now?
It seemed as though Lo’ak shared your confusion because as the lesson progressed the two of you seemed to be the only ones not getting it. It did not help that Tsireya flirtatiously placed her hand on Lo’aks stomach sending the poor na’vi even more off course than before. A slight laugh left your lips at your twins reaction finding his flustered state amusing.
“Do not laugh when you are not doing any better” Cutting your amusement short that annoyingly smooth voice entered your ears. His tone was laced with annoyance as he poked at you.
“Yet I do not see you being of any help.” a sarcastic smile painted your face as you turned too meet his eyes.
“Do not blame me for your lack of skill.”Suddenly Ao’nung’s voice darken in a way as his eyes scanned your form. This caught the attention of Neteyam, offended for a reason you could not understand.
“Watch how you talk too my sister.” Neteyam was quick too jump in his voice stern as Lo’ak was peering from behind him.
“Woah, woah, woah let’s calm down a bit.” Tsireya jumped between the two males with a nervous smile on her face.
“Let’s separate into small groups, keep things peaceful and help the ones struggling!” Clapping her hands together the girl looked around with a hopeful look. The group muttered an agreement as Tsireya was quick to separate na’vi into groups of three. Of course you were stuck with Ao’nung while the others were spread between Rotxo and Tsireya.
“We shall separate for more focus, teach some signs too them as well!” Scoffing Ao’nung turned away from his sister and began to walk away. Tsireya motioned for you to follow the grouchy man and you did just that. Dragging your feet behind the taller na’vi you felt your mood sour at his obvious attitude.
No words left his lips as you were left staring at his back. In your opinion he was blessed with a very nice back. You could see bits off his tattoo from his neck at the top of his shoulder and it was obvious that he was a warrior. His frame was strong and hard most likely the result of his training and endless hours of swimming. It was almost as if you were in a trance as you admired him from behind caught up in the way his muscles slightly moved as his defined arms swayed at his sides.
Abruptly stopping your brain did not have any time to process until you slammed into the na’vi, a slight gasp left your lips at the impact. In attempt to back up you stumbled on your own feet landing swiftly on the ground. A slight groan left your lips as you made contact with the sand. You had no time to catch your breath before ao’nung was turned around, wearing an amused expression as he looked at you.
“Try too pay some attention forest girl.” It was now Ao’nungs turn to wear a sarcastic smile as his eyes looked over your fallen form. Embarrassed, you quickly rose dusting the sand off your backside. You avoided his judging eyes as you placed yourself on the rock you assumed was going too be the place he would teach you.
“Hmm no words now?” Cocking his head too the side he worn his signature smirk, placing himself in front of you. You felt your heart best against your ribs as his eyes bore into you.
“I am sorry.” Avoiding his gaze you whispered a response. A purple hue painted across your face. A light chuckle met your ears as his eyes stayed glued too your face.
“Let’s start with signing than, if you even can with… those fingers.”
Casting your gaze too your four finger hands you subconsciously laced them together. Tucking your pinky finger in you felt slight shame. Your gaze did not move from your lap.
Slightly annoyed by your unmoving eyes Ao’nung reached for your face. His finger rested under your chin bringing your eyes too his. He wore a satisfied expression as his eyes bore into yours.
“Eyes on me forest girl.”
Tumblr media
Your efforts too push down the rising feelings for the ocean boy seemed fruitless. Every attempt to gaslight yourself seemed futile because as soon as his eyes met yours the butterflies ragged in your stomach. It did not seem to matter how much insults he threw at you, if anything it got you even more hooked. He would say mean words but his actions did not match his tone as he would gently guide you into the correct position or take you away from the group too help you out.
Although his sweet behaviors did not extend too your siblings. Ao’nung was often cut throat and mean too them. It made you conflicted and sad. You did not wish too feel these things for someone who was cruel too your twin, too your older siblings. Thank Eywa Tsireya was there to intervene most of the time. She was even the one too teach you how to stay on an ilu. She had insisted on teaching you and Kiri hoping that her brother would warm up too the sully boys after teaching them too ride.
Her hopes did not get her very far as Ao’nung was a stubborn man, his high rank did not help his attitude. He taught your brother too ride masterfully but he was not gentle in his teachings. He argued that it was obviously effective as you could only ride bear back, helpless in a saddled ilu. It made you embarrassed that he brought up your lack of skill in front of the others.
You were quick to shy away from their gazes picking at your hands. Kiri had been a natural at almost everything they had throw at her while you were the opposite. Even Lo’ak caught onto things faster than you! It was clear that your skills did not lie in the water. On the other hand Ao’nungs mood over the weeks only seemed to get worse as he was always stuck with your brothers.
After what Ao’nung would describe as a horrid day he was preparing too hunt with his friend. Tsireya had released you and kiri early as the lesson on healing was rather short due too your guys prior knowledge. You had gone too pick the two of you some fruit, and on the way back you were met with a dreadful sight. Ao’nung was obviously harassing your sister as his friend surrounded her, snickering at Ao’nungs action and words. It made your blood boil as he grabbed for her hands, Kiri obviously uncomfortable and trying too get away.
You had never been the confrontational type but your normal timid personality seemed thrown out the window as you rushed towards you sister. The basket of fruit was long forgotten as your legs carried you too her at record speed. Throwing the fruit in your hand at the taller na’vi a hiss breached your lips as you shoved him with your momentum. The force made Ao’nung and you stumble back slightly.
“Do not touch my sister!”
Ao’nung ears perked up as a smirk plastered on his face at your tone. He was use too a relatively quite y/n. Sometimes you would insult him back but other than that you were quite and flustered during your interactions with him. He had never seemed too be able to hit a nerve like he did with your other siblings and he felt a foreign feeling as you looked at him with fury in your yellow eyes.
“Another four fingered freak enters the scene!”
A series of chuckles were heard as his freakish looking friends giggle around you. Kiri only glared at the boy as she stood beside you. Pushing down the slight fear you felt you hissed at the taller na’vi slowly getting into a defensive position.
“Y/n do not do anything stupid.” Kiri whispered her worried tone filling your ears.
“The only freaks I see here are you and your mutated friends!”
A flash of an emotion you could not decipher ran through Ao’nungs eyes as he was quick to grab your hand holding it up so high you had to rise too your tipi toes. A slight groan left your lips as your body stretched out. Threatened kiri was quick too bite Ao’nung. Using his moment of surprise you planted your feet on the ground flipping the much bigger na’vi over your body.
A laugh left the girl lips as you positioned yourself on the na’vi trying your best to keep his arms down. His little friends were now quite, shocked that two forest girls could bring such a big na’vi down.
“I love a woman who can take control.”
Ao’nungs eyes looked into yours. He seemed exited by your new aggression as he fought you for dominance. Feeling oddly uncomfortable by the scene Kiri was quick too usher Ao’nungs lackeys away flashing them her red teeth. Although she would usually stay and aid you in anyway possible she knew it was not her place as a woodspirte danced around the two of you. Of course that jackass has to be the one Eywa chose for you. Slipping away she allowed the scene too unfold as she went too search for her brother, intending too inform them of the recent events.
You did not even notice Kiri slipping away as Ao’nungs hands broke free. He now had you in control grabbing your wrist and placing them together in one of his hands. There was no doubt that he was much bigger than most Omaticaya men as both your wrist could be held in one hand of his. His grip was firm but not painful as he waited for your struggle too stop, than soon let go. Suddenly you felt flushed at your position, legs straddling his waist as his now free hands made its way too your hips.
Ao’nung lifted his torso up easily as if there was not a whole na’vi on top of him. Sliding down into his lap you felt your breath catch in your throat. A purr of satisfaction ran through Ao’nungs chest as he dropped his hands too your legs seeming too admire you.
“You freaks are quite light.” As the words were processed in your brain it was almost as if you were knocked out of a trance. Your body flinched away from his touch. Seeming to get the message Ao’nung was quick to remove his hands from you. You felt a storm of mixed feelings as you looked at the man not knowing how too react. You felt anger at his action yet your heart felt light as the ghost of his touch still lingered.
“Yet you seem quite comfortable at this freaks proximity.” The words came out in a sneer as you glared at Ao’nung. You had decided you would be angry at him, he was wrong to gang up on Kiri and what type of sister what kind of sister would you be too just forgive him because he was gentle with you.
“It was nice to finally get a rise out of you.” His signature smirk plastered across his face made you hiss in dissatisfaction. Shoving his chest you glared at the man about to rise too your feet before firm hands held you down.
“I meant no serious harm.”
“Your a dick! Let me go!” Raising your voice Ao’nungs eyes seemed too soften but before he could make any moves your arm was grabbed as his upper body was pushed into the ground. A hiss left the Metkayina throat as he was quick too rise too his feet.
“Don’t you ever touch my sister again fish lips!” Lo’aks aggressive voice rang through your ears as you looked at your twin. His grip on your arm was firm as his tail whipped in aggression. Ao’nung seemed to mirror his body language not willing too back down.
“Lo’ak it’s ok I had it under control!” Placing a hand on your brothers chest you attempted to calm him down. His cat like eyes pierced your as his gaze softened.
“Yeah your sister loves throwing herself at me.”
Shocked you looked at Ao’nung who’s eyes were not on you. He was obviously trying to get Lo’ak too snap and just that happened. Tearing himself away from you he stomped over too the boy.
“Bitch!”
THWACK
𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅
The thoughts of the day crashed over you in waves as you sat on a rock. The waves were not far from your figure as you were lost in thought. An immense guilt filled you at the fact that Lo’ak had been punished for something you considered your fault. You hated seeing your brother scolded it filled you with an unbearable sadness, but that was not the only thing that troubled your mind. Ao’nungs words did not seem to leave you as you rethought all of your interaction. Did he see you as a desperate? Were you just another one of his sick twisted games? Did the light touches, extra attention, and looks mean nothing?
You felt like a idiot. Such a stupid, stupid girl. Brining your knees too your chest you couldn’t help the hot tears from breaching your eyes. You were such a fool, for even thinking there was something there. You felt so stupid for allowing yourself too fall for the boy. For the way the water dripped from his curls, his stupid laughs, his dumb smug smirk that seemed to always be plastered in his face. You hated the way he touched you as if you were a delicate flower, how he would tease you and make your stomach swirl, and how your heart would jump every time your eyes met.
Feeling cold water against your feet you tore your head away from your knees. Looking up ocean eyes stared down at you with an unreadable look. Shock filled your features as you were quick to wipe away your tears trying too hide the evidence of your sorrows.
“Y/n” Your name rolled off his tongue smoothly. Ao’nung eyes softened as he scanned your form. Placing himself next too you eyes never leaving your body.
“Why are you here Ao’nung.” Your voice came out raspy as you stared at the ocean, gaze unwavering. It was obvious that you had been crying.
“I just wanted to check on you, didn’t see you at the dinner.”
You almost scoffed as the words left his mouth. Worrying after harassing you and your family all day? Could someone be anymore bipolar. “I have no words for you. I would not wish for anyone too think i’m throwing myself at you.” Although you intended for the words to come out in a harsh tone they left your lips laced in a pain Ao’nung could not decipher.
“I said I meant no harm-” Aggressively rising too your feet you cut the boy off. Your eyes filled with pain and anger as you stared at the Metkayina. “It does not matter what you intended it matters what it did too my family, to me!” Vision blurring from your tears you did not even know the Metkayina stood in front of you until his rough hands were placed on your cheeks. You felt his course thumb rub under your eyes wiping the tears away. You hated the way your heart leaped at the action, craving more of his touch.
Forcing his hands away from your face you shoved them away. “I will not be one of your games Ao’nung! Leave my family alone.” The last part came out barley above a whisper as you turned away from the man. Ignoring the ache of your heart and yearning of your body you stomped away from him tears running down your face in waves.
Watching you retreating from with his ears back and heart sunk Ao’nung thought over his actions. A slight guilt built up at the sight of your tears, tears he had caused. As your form disappeared from his sight Ao’nung knew he fucked up bad. He had lost his favorite forest girl.

╭┈─────── ೄྀ࿐ ˊˎ-╰┈➤ ❝ [26/12/22] ❞
He was like no one else you had seen before.
He was a boy from the Omaticaya clan, a foreign stranger who had no business to be seeking refuge on your beaches.
After all, he was clearly suited for swinging in trees, not swimming.
You had heard of the fabled Jake Sully; the Toruk Makto, and as of right now, referred to as a great warrior by none other than Neytiri.
They had travelled a far distance to seek shelter with your people, so that their clan could be safe.
You were against allowing him and his family to hide within the Awa'atlu village. Danger would follow them, and they did not fit in with your people nor the environment.
Alas, you had no power to defy the orders of your father, Tonowari, as he was the Olo'eyktan.
Imagine your surprise when your father, not only simply allowing them to stay, also expected you and your siblings to teach them your ways.
You groaned at the thought, not wanting to spend time with these people or their children.
After their initial introduction, their eldest son Neteyam attempted to get to know you.
However, his kind demeanor towards you quickly turned sour when you made it transparently clear you wanted nothing to do with him.
‘The hell is wrong with you?’ is what Neteyam would think.
You both would want to avoid each other, but unfortunately, that’s not really possible.
He does try to be civil when he can, though. Neteyam has a backbone and won’t let anyone walk all over him, but he’s not like Lo’ak where he’ll freely start fights.
His father warned not to cause problems, and he doesn’t want him to be disappointed in him.
Your sister Tsireya had taken a liking to the younger son, Lo’ak, which meant you were stuck with teaching Neteyam.
So here you were with Tsireya, teaching the two brothers breathing exercises.
You were getting frustrated with Neteyam. His breathing wasn’t on par with your expectations, and time and time again you would smack him (lightly, of course) if he wasn’t doing it right.
“Here, do it like this!” frustrated, you placed your hands on his chest and abdomen. “Breathe like this!”
You took deep breaths through the diaphragm, then gestured your head for Neteyam to do it next.
Well, he wasn’t breathing through his chest anymore, but his heart was definitely going a mile a minute with you being so hands-on with him.
Just when you thought he was finally getting the hang of it, he smacked your hands off of him and said he can do it himself.
You tsked, and decided that if he wants to drown, he can. “Whatever, asshole.”
The next thing you tried to teach him about was riding the ilu and performing tsaheylu with it.
You honestly weren’t expecting much from him, you knew that it would take awhile before he could actually do so.
And you were right. The moment he started gliding underwater, he was thrown off the ilu’s back.
You remained in place treading the water, bursting into laughter at his falling form. This guy really doesn’t know what he’s doing 💀
When Neteyam meets with you again, his face is red with embarrassment. You can’t contain your laughter, and he has to remind himself to stay calm and not yell in a fit of rage.
A few days pass, and Tsireya and Aonung decide to go swimming with Kiri, Lo’ak, and Neteyam.
Tsireya urged for you to come along, and you agreed, because how could you say no to your sister?
As you are swimming, you have to slow down for Neteyam. You were quite irate with the fact that he couldn’t keep up, trading looks with Aonung occasionally.
As you kept swimming, Neteyam was in awe with the underwater scenery.
The schools of fish, bright coral, and the way the light refracted in the ocean made him amazed. He couldn’t believe that he had never seen something so beautiful before.
And then, he looked at you.
The scenery really tied everything together; being surrounded by a vast, blue world, you were like the centerpiece of an artfully woven painting.
It was in this moment that Neteyam really took in your beauty. He thought you were pretty since the first time he laid eyes on you.
But of course, you didn’t like him, so he quickly picked up the memo and forgot all about those thoughts of you.
Almost.
Neteyam was so distracted from daydreaming about you, that he forgot his breathing exercises instead.
You turn around to see him flailing in the water, and start panicking because he’s literally about to drown.
You quickly swam over, wrapped your arms around his waist, and hauled him up to the surface.
You start slapping his face, shaking him by the shoulders to breathe.
He’s coughing and sputtering now, muttering a thank you.
His near-drowning experience is swiftly forgotten when he processes the fact that you basically saved him.
At this point he’s making fun of you because you came to his rescue, and Tsireya and Aonung are not too far behind him either.
Angrily, you shove his head underwater, and swim away.
Later on, when it is well over eclipse, you push a stick through the sand to make stupid drawings.
Neteyam creeps up behind you, and you almost whack him with your stick when he sits down besides you.
“The hell do you want?”
He recoils at your attitude. Neteyam wanted to properly thank you for your help earlier that day, but it seemed now that all hint of gratitude left his body.
“What’s wrong with you?” is what he ends up saying.
You promptly begin to argue. Honestly, you didn’t really have a good reason for being so mean to him all the time.
In all honesty, you did find him kind of cute at first, but worrying about the safety of your clan overpowered that more than anything.
You would never admit this though. Instead, you scoop up a handful of sand, and throw it at him.
Neteyam’s patience completely snaps. He has tried to be cordial with you in the past, but that was it.
He tackles you to the ground, and fighting between the two of you ensued.
“You’re so rude for no reason!”
“What’s it to you?”
You’re both practically yelling at this point as you wrestle on the sand.
Out of sheer anger, Neteyam did something he’s never done before. Make an impulsive decision.
In response to you, he blurted out that he likes you, but you’re such a massive asshole to him that it makes him furious!
You aren’t any smarter than him, and reply with the exact same confession.
You both paused.
Neteyam was leaning over you, hands by either side of your head. All his anger had disappeared. Was this guy smiling??
Your face flushed with embarrassment that you had actually admitted that to him. You wanted the sand beneath you to swallow you whole.
You tried to back up, but found yourself trapped between Neteyam and, well... the sand.
Your about to start yelling again when he places a featherlight kiss against your lips, and that’s when your face erupts into a violent blush.
You can’t hide your face from him, which makes him all the more amused.
“Okay, fine. I guess you’re kind of cute...” you trailed off.
He let out a toothy grin, sharp canines on display. “I always thought you were.”
Okay, now you really wanted to be six feet underground.

Neteyam x enemies to lovers Omotacaya reader
PLEASE DO NOT COPY MY WORK
Summary; Reader and Neteyam's parents don't get along. Her father doesn't like Jake as he has known him since he was working with the enemy. He had been holding a grudge since he had been using them. So Neteyam and the reader have to sneak around in order to be together without getting caught by their parents.
Neteyam is 19, and reader is 18
Tumblr media
The sun was beginning to set as Neteyam's parents were setting the kids ready for bed. Neteyam waited for his family to fall asleep so he could see her. He knew the risks if both of their parents found out they were together.
Their parents didn't get along, as their fathers would always butt heads together. Her father was a warrior, he was forced to listen to his fathers orders as he was the Olo'eyktan, and Toruk Macto.
Her father was jealous, as he was just a mighty warrior that fought alongside Taruk Macto. The young couple would always meet by the bioluminescent river, just a little aways from the Sacred tree. They were almost twenty years old.
"I was wondering when you were going to show up." The young Na'vi girl teased.
The boy just smirked as he yanked her tail lightly as he sat down next to her on a log.
Her blue skin glowed from the river, her face littered with white spots that looked like stars. She respected his family, unlike her parents they did not like the Sully's.
"I wish our parents didn't have us involved in their feud." The girl lays her head on the boy's shoulder.
"It's not fair to us, I mean they'll want to know who we're going to mate with. Tomorrow is our ceremony, we get to make the bow from the hometree and we get to choose our mates for life. But my parents already gave me the 'do not choose the Sully Boy', talk." She air quotes, and her voice depends to mock her father.
"It is our lives, our choice. I see you, and only you. We've been hiding this from our parents for two years, my siblings have been a great help with lying for me, so I didn't get caught. You and Kiri have a strong bond, a friendship that not even our parents can destroy. You and Lo'ak are the best hunters, and you are my right hand woman. You're the only one I want to be my Tsahik." Y/n starts to tear up as her face hides in his neck as she sobs.
"Why can't my father accept the fact that he will never be a Olo'eyktan?" Neteyam says nothing as he pushes a chunk of hair behind her ears.
He loved seeing her hair out of there usual braids, as she had that natural curl from them. She would have her hair down at night, as she likes to do different braids every day.
Y/n's younger sister who was only two years younger was searching for her as their parents were looking for her.
"Y/n!" The couple quickly looked at each other when they heard a voice shout for her name.
"Is that y/s/n?" She whispers, looking at the forest trying to spot a shadow of her sister.
"Neteyam!" The two quickly got up and started to run.
Their families were searching for them, only for the couple to bump into something, or more like someone.
"C'mon lemur boy!" Y/n shouted as Neteyam was falling behind as they jumped in the trees.
"Seriously?" He calls out as she calls him by his nickname.
But they continued to run, only for them to stop when they were caught.
"How many times do we have to tell you that you can not be together?" Jake scolds, the only thing that both parties agreed on.
"With all due respect sir, this is my father's doing. He can not except the fact that he is not Taruk Macto, or that you were a human that is now the leader. He's jealous and can't get it over his head." Jake tries not to smile, as he goes wide eyed. But her father held anger in his eyes, if looks could kill she'd run as far as she could if she wanted to.
"We have decided who we chose to mate with. We're in love with each other mother, I love him. He loves me." Y/n grabs Neteyam's hand, as he gives her a proud smile.
"I will be a Sully, take his last name. Learn to be a Tsahik, you can not take this away from me mother, father." She looks between both of her parents.
"Jake is the only one who could accept it, wanting to bring peace. All you want is to hate him. I will always choose Neteyam, no matter how hard you threaten, or try to keep me away from him." Her father sighs as Jake places a hand on the shorter Na'Vi's shoulder. She looked up at him and he had a look of pride on his face.
"We can't keep them from each other y/f/n. This has to end, make a Truce, you can't hold this grudge forever." Y/n's mother spoke, the two women were standing near each other.
The father continues to stay silent, as the family stares at him for a response.
He walks away, he was mad at the fact that his daughter had chosen a boy that she was told not to fall for. He knew he would lose, as she was stubborn. Y/n turns to Neteyam and places her lips against his. She wraps her arms around his neck as he places his hands on her waist.
"I love you Neteyam." She whispers, they were alone as they left them by themselves.
The two young Na'Vi's no longer have to hide their love.

II. He's Good For My Heart (Bad For Business) | + Human/Modern Royalty AU & Bodyguard AU (new!)
status: ongoing! / rating: teen and up audiences ☆ In which Jake has enough of Neteyam's shenanigans and hires Ao'nung as his personal bodyguard. "Your father has hired me to keep you in check, make sure you're not pulling off any more of that shit, and I'm going to do my job." (..) "So either be a good boy, or we'll have trouble," Ao'nung darkly whispered before pulling back. "Have I made myself clear, Your Highness?"
♡ fake dating/friends to lovers trope ⋆。˚
I. Just Once! | + Human AU
status: completed! / rating: teen and up audiences ☆ “Can you, please, fake being my boyfriend?” Neteyam looked deep into his eyes, begging, “Just once.” This was nowhere near what Aonung expected when Neteyam came to him asking for help.
♡ less specific tropes ⋆。˚
I. It's just You and Me (dancing in the Moonlight) | + canon divergence & tooth-rotting fluff
status: completed! / rating: general audiences ☆ The Night of Lovers is a unique occasion where everyone can profess their love and feelings for a special someone. Neteyam has a plan, but things might not unravel as he wishes (or, he might not be the only one with a plan).
II. How You Get The Boy | + Human AU & Hockey AU & College AU
status: ongoing! / rating: teen and up audiences ★ Ao'nung's always been presumptuous, kind of. Charismatic and self-conceived, he knows he has the looks to woo whoever he wants, and being the captain of his hockey team is nothing but a deadly weapon to his flirtatious causes. The way Neteyam Sully plainly ignores him, however, highly infuriates him.
for AO3 users only! Red means I Love You | + Scream Movies AU & Human AU
status: completed! / rating: explicit (for violence & blood) / archive warnings: graphic depictions of violence ☆ After the Sullys have moved to a townlet in Awa'atlu, several mysterious murder cases begin to shock and frighten the whole town. Oddly enough, each victim seems linked to Tsireya, and unfortunately, Ao'nung notices.
! will eventually update if there are changes or new fics to add˚˖𓍢ִִ໋🫧˚˖𓍢ִ✧˚

Future Leader Part 1 - Neteyam Sully
Tumblr media
Warnings - swearing, kind of enemies to lovers. Pairing - Neteyam x Tsu'teys Daughter (Reader) Summary - Tsu'tey survives the battle and has a daughter years later, the same time as Jake and Neytiri have their son, who will become the clan's first Olo'eykte. As she comes of age to take the position, the people are sceptical about having a woman leading them and suggest that Neteyam, son of the mighty Toruk Makto, would be better for the job. A/N - I literally just wrote an essay on Wuthering Heights and bawled my eyes out LOL so this might be short but I will be making a part 2 and possibly 3.
You and Neteyam had always felt in a competition. You had to be faster, stronger, better then eachother. You could say there was a rival between you. Even as children you envied eachother. If one caught a fish, the other would have to catch a shark. It was how it had always been. Neteyam was a mighty warrior, son of the great Toruk Makto and Neytiri. But you were the Olo'eyktan's daughter, you were born to lead. Traits of a great leader were demanded of you. And through your teenage years, Neteyam's skill only shot up like his height. You were determined to prove yourself but you had a lot to live up to.
Your father had started letting you lead war parties, starting the long process of training to become Olo'eykte. You loved the new responsibility, feeling like you were finally headed somewhere. Leading wars came naturally to you and the war party respected you for it.
It was just before noon and you went looking for Neteyam to tell him his place for the mission that day. You were going to ask for Neteyam to spot todays war party instead of be on the front line with you. The boy was so arrogant in combat that he needed to be taken down a few notches in your opinion and get used to playing other roles.
You found him sat with his brother, his guard was down and you caught a glimpse of what Neteyam must be like when he's not surrounded by competition. His smile was almost cute. Almost. "Neteyam, may I speak with you?" You asked, trying to make your voice as stone cold as possible. Neteyam sucked a breath and gave Lo'ak a look before standing to join.
You nodded and smiled to Lo'ak genuinely, you may have a rival with Neteyam but that didn't mean you disliked the rest of his family. Lo'ak grinned and nodded back before leaving to give you and Neteyam privacy.
You turned back to Neteyam, the masculinity was practically dripping off him. He was always tense with you around, always trying to make himself look bigger then her was. In all ways. "I want you on spotter today." You said to him simply.
Neteyam looked at you, his eyes a potent mix of amusement and something else you couldn't put your finger on. He scoffed, "You are joking."
You looked at him blankly, ignoring the feeling bubbling up in your stomach from his hard glare. "I'm not." You told him. Neteyam let go of an audible breath and poked at the inside of his cheek with his tongue in annoyance. "Why would I be on spotter when you know I am the most valuable asset on the front line."
You cocked your head at him, looking at him through innocent eyes. "Do I know that?" You asked, your tail flicking with the exhilaration of deliberately getting on his nerves.
"Don't play, Y/n." It sounded almost like a threat as it came from gritted teeth. You smiled and shrugged, "I think you need to open your mind to the fact that I'll put you wherever I see fit, Neteyam."
You caught a glimpse of Neteyam's breath hitching in his throat at the sound of his name from your mouth. He just smiled and chuckled slightly, "Whatever you say, boss." His last word was soaked with animosity.
LATER IN THE MISSION
The mission was going well. You had successfully taken out the sky people's line of supply with only a few injured. Neteyam did well to stay in his position as spotter although you could tell it was slowly, agonisingly killing him.
The sky rumbled and darkened as a storm brew in, gusting cold air and rain down on us. It was difficult to see through the thick waves of rain drops. You quickly realised you could do no more in this condition and called everyone to fall back and take what they had with them.
You turned your Ikran around, ready to lead the war party through the angry storm when the sound of shots firing from below you made your heart jump in its cage. Sky people in huge mechanical suits were braving the storm, craving death. You gasped, this was not going to be easy. You could hardly see them let alone where you were going. A bullet skimmed your leg, just catching the side. Blood ran slowly down the graze wound. Luckily, there was too much adrenaline pumping in your veins for you to feel the pain.
You cursed and hoped that no one had seen it. Neteyam, however, did. In a second, he was barrelling towards the ground with an arrow draw in his bow. He looked just like his mother, Neytiri. His shot was impressive, quickly taking out one and then flawlessly drawing another arrow for the other. But regardless, he disobeyed your orders. You were never going to live this down.
You gave Neteyam a stone cold glare when he returned, water dripping down his face that was set as still as stone. He cocked his head like you had done to him previously and said, "You're welcome, your highness."

“i do care” — neteyam sully ⋆。˚ ❀
pt 2. of “i don’t care”
neteyam x fem!reader
warning: smut, p in v, choking kink, daddy kink, fingering, fingering at dinner table, mating. i think that’s it
the last few months have been eywa sent, you and your best friends brother sneaking around in a secret relationship. little small touches here and there but not too much to were anyone would notice until one night everyone in the sully family was supposed to be gone except neteyam agreed to stay and watch the hut, he only agreed so he could have alone time with you.
he had you perched up against his dads desk, his lips on your neck sucking harshly, his hand down your lion cloth with two fingers inside you making you scream his name. he quickens the pace of his fingers, your head thrown back against the wall, your cheats rising up and down fast “ma’teyam!” you cry “yes princess” he says against your neck “i’m gonna cum! please let me cum” you beg the tall boy in front of you, too caught up to notice your best friend and his dad standing in the door way “neteyam!” jake yells making him stop all movements, he closes his eyes “yes sir” he sighs. you can’t help but look at lo’ak, his face twisted with disgust not even anger or disappointment just disgust.
“get decent and get your ass out here. now.” jake demands closing the door, neteyam pulls his finger out of you licking them clean all the while staring at you, he bends down and kisses your head “i’m sorry you didn’t get to cum princess i’ll be back later” he feels so bad for leaving you like that “i love you” neteyam says running out to his dad.
he walks out slowly to his dad and brother, jake looking at him smiling but his brother looking at him with rage “you are disgusting!” lo’ak begins “i cannot believe you go around for months boning my best friend and none of you tell me.” lo’ak shoves neteyam back “if you really cared about me as a brother you wouldn’t be sleeping with her!” lo’ak has tears in his eyes. “i have to go” lo’ak looks down at his feet and runs back inside to see his best friend still sitting on his dads desk. he looks at you the same way he looked at neteyam tilting his head to the side giving you a stern look “lo-” you begin “no.” he cuts you off “you didn’t tell me?” his chest rising up and down so fast but so slow, you couldn’t answer you were silent which makes him scoff at you walking straight past you. making your stomach drop.
•°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆
it’s been almost 2 weeks and lo’ak is still mad at you. ignoring you when you go out to the ilu for rides and he just happens to be there, but especially whenever you go over to the sully hut and have dinner with him or hang out with them because now you are promised to neteyam and neteyam is promised to you. and everyone knows it. one night in particular though you had just got your hair done by tsireya and it was the same as hers because you thought her hair so was beautiful the way she wore it, when she finished lo’ak, neteyam, and jake had got back from hunting. you and tsireya walk outside to greet your boys, jake walking past you two to go see neytiri, you walk down to neteyam and see he’s holding his arm firmly as if he’s trying to hide something from you “move your hand” you point to neteyams hand, he shakes his head “it is fine” he looks down until you grab both of his arms moving the one covering the other, “ma’teyam” you say softly when you see a long gash on his arm. “it is fine y/n, i don’t care it does not hurt that bad” he whines just wanting you not to worry “okay well i do care” you say looking at the cut then back up to him “i care about you neteyam”.
lo’ak looks away from tsireya and over at you and his brother, the worry and love in your eyes when you look at his brother is something he can’t miss and when he looks at neteyam he sees love, all love and that’s when he drops the grudge smiling realizing his brother is happy, “get a room” lo’ak says bumping your shoulder and smiling at you making you smile back. after lo’ak and tsireya walk away you look at neteyam, your eyes lit up “he’s not mad at me?” you say with a wide smile on your face, making neteyam smile and walk up closer you taking your lips in his while your still holding onto his arms. “your hair looks beautiful by the way”.
•°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆
life was great, you and lo’ak went back to normal , you had the boy of your dreams everything was perfect. you just had a lot of stress being put on you by your mother and father about mating with neteyam. your parents had came with you to the Metkayina clan because jake insisted. “y/n! when are you going to mate with the sully boy!” your mother yells at you “whenever i want to!” you yell back, your dad trying a softer approach “honey we just need to know when you’re gonna mate with neteyam, that is all” you glare back at your dad shoving his hand off your back, “whenever. i. want. to.” you stand your ground. neteyam standing in the doorway of your family hut, he clears his throat “uh.. i am sorry to interrupt but um..” you’re still glaring at your father “you’re not interrupting a thing ma’teyam” you finally look away and walk out the door with your soon-to-be mate.
he puts an arm on your back and whispers in your ear “dinner at mine tonight, i have a surprise for you. my mate” the word rolling off his tongue.
•°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆
your family is now having a dinner party with the sullys. lo’ak has his head down eating food because he’s tired of how loud and obnoxious both yalls parents are being, kiri is talking with the adults and tuk passed out in her hammock hours ago, you and neteyam sitting hand in hand under the table listening to the loud conversation happening between your parents. your mom laughing overly loud “so are we gonna talk about your son and our daughter mating” your father asks jake and neytiri making you and neteyam look up.
your cheeks start to heat up and sigh trying to keep your head down low as possible, neteyams hand removes itself from yours and places it on you thigh, you don’t think anything of this because well it’s something he always does, but you feel it go farther up you look at him “what are you doing?” you whisper to the boy sitting next to you while your parents are literally talking, “giving you the relaxation you need”
he shoves his hand down your lion cloth and his long thick fingers start to circle your clit, your breath hitches you suck in your bottom lip. “y/n my mate are you okay” neteyam asks you knowing good and well he’s gonna make you cum at the dinner table. you look at him with a small smile and you nod looking around the table “just feeling sick i think i need to throw up” removing neteyams hand from you and leaving. “i’ll go check on her” he gives an awkward chuckle and follows you back to your room.
“baby if i made you uncomfortable tell me i’m sorry” he says finally finding you curled up in your hammock. he takes your hand “i have something to show you anyways” you look at him not wanting to get up “up. now” he says pulling your arm, you groan and get up.
•°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆
you both get off his ikran and he covers your eyes so you don’t see the beautiful sight in front of you. “are you ready?” he whispers and you nod. he takes his hands off your eyes revealing the beautiful tree of souls. it’s something you’ve always wanted to see but never got to “neteyam” you say jumping in his arms “it is beautiful” you smile wide now looking in his eyes. “i never brought any girl here because i felt they weren’t right for me, but you.. you are right for me” tears start to form in your eyes “neteyam..” he places a hand on your cheek “i want you to mate with me” he says and it looks like a weight has been pulled off his shoulders.
“yes! i love you” you cry making him smile “the last time i saw you cry you were saying how much you hated me” he chuckles. you put both of your hands on his cheeks “oh ma’teyam.., i could never hate you”you say as his cheek leans into your hand.
•°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆ •°. *࿐ ⋆
he is no longer your soon to be mate. he is your mate. but right now he’s balls deep in you with both of your queues connected. you’re straddling his lap but he’s still fucking you dumb. “yes! fuck” you scream this time you feel everything, you feel what he feels and he feels so good. he lets out small groans smacking your ass thrusting into you fast and hard making your walls tighten around him. he lets out a moan as his head leans back “fuck.. this pussy is so tight” he’s gripping your ass so hard it’s probably gonna leave marks, you grip around him again, he looks at you gripping your jaw making you look at him “this is my pussy” his strokes now being painfully slow “i want you cum on dick just like this, looking at me while my dick is moving in and out of you slowly” you whine because you want to go faster, you shake your head “faster” you beg “keep begging sweetheart maybe i’ll give you what you want” you growls “please ma’teyam! please fuck me faster”.
how could he say no if you asked so nicely? he works his hips up faster and faster than he was going before making your eyes roll back into your head “fuck daddy i’m gonna cum!” he stops all his movements, you realizing what you just say. your eyes shoot open to his full of lust “what did you just call me?” he says with a shit eating smirk of his face “nothing” you try and lose eye contact but he won’t let you he thrusts upward hitting your g-spot “what did you say” you sigh knowing you’re not getting out of this “i called you daddy” you look down.
he groans at the name “do it again princess, beg daddy to fuck your pussy some more” the hand that was on your cheeks now on your throat “daddy please fuck me, i wanna cum” he smiles at you and and picks up his pace again.
“that’s right baby cum on daddy’s cock” the knot in your stomach snaps leaving you a moaning mess on neteyam, “you wanna take daddy’s cum?” he pants, you nod frantically “please cum daddy i need it” and with that he lets out a long groan and lets his thick hot white cum paint your gummy walls. he cleaned you up and put your clothes back on you, he pulls you in close and kisses your forehead “i love you my mate”.

— too close to the sun | neteyam
pairings: gn! navi x neteyam
warnings: aged up neteyam (FOR PLOT PURPOSES), angsty rivals, physical dominance (tension but not crossing any lines), makeout sesh (nothing serious just teenagers being teenagers), choking (but not sexual)
synopsis: you always felt like neteyam was competition— you felt less than and you hated him...or did you?
wc: 2.5K+
note: “kurkung” means dickhead
── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──
You grew up alongside neteyam you watched and experienced him mold into who he is now. Neteyam felt like a parasite to you, your family was close friends which meant you were physically close as well. You were an only child— so naturally, you felt pressured by your parents to be a certain way, act a certain way, and look a certain way.
You felt like you were compared to him— that he was better. It gnawed at your insides to be held at such a standard to then only feel like a letdown. As the years went on your hatred for neteyam grew— you wanted to be recognized for you and not just someone in his shadow.
It was exasperating to always be around him like a never-ending loop— you hated it, you hated him. It felt like fire in your body whenever you saw him, heard his voice, or even the mention of him. You wanted to bury his existence into the ground of pandora, as he wanted the same with you.
On the flip side neteyam hated you— he hated your freedom. He wanted it, he wanted to feel free from expectations from his parents. He thought your life was perfect and that you lived carefreely— so he hated you.. naturally. He didn't like that you always had an attitude around him and only towards him, he'd seen you interact with his siblings and others but when it came to him you pretended he was invisible.
It's not like he wished to speak with you but he wanted to be acknowledged by you. He was the next in line so he did feel that ego jab and it set his body ablaze whenever you'd walk right by him and cross your arms and roll your eyes as you pretended he was a tree. He didn't know why— he just knew he didn't like you.
“Tuk this flower is really pretty thank you!” you smiled as she held it up. “Let me put it in your hair” tuk jumped up and down and you playfully rolled your eyes as you crouched down. She carefully places the flower behind your ear and gently moved your hair “there! perfect” she smiled big.
“Thank you soooo much!” you said as you picked her up and tickled her and she was laughing and kicking. “Stop! It tickles!” she laughed but it was soon interrupted by an obvious fake cough.
You whipped your head around and saw who it was— your jaw clenched and your body went rigid. You carefully set tuk down and fixed her unruly hair. “Tuk it’s time to go,” neteyam said motioning her to follow, he dared not step too close— to you. It was like an invisible barrier between the two of you, neither one ever getting too close.
Maybe because the thought of being close repulsed either one or— maybe it was for a deep buried down unattainable desire that begged to be released, but was pushed down nonetheless.
You rolled your eyes and smiled to tuk “go on little one” you said as she hugged you quickly. You watched her run past her brother and you locked eyes with the devil himself. You hoped he could feel the hate seething out of your pores— hoping to poison him. You wanted the thick tension in the air to suffocate him whole, but it seemed to be suffocating you instead.
You shook your head and scoffed as you turned and walked away not being able to handle the pressure. You scowled as you couldn’t get his look out of your head, the way his face was completely unreadable and his deadpan eyes stared into your soul. You were scared he might’ve seen something you hadn’t planned on.
You sniffed as you wiped away tears while touching the top of the water watching it ripple. You sighed and groaned and gently slapped your face to center yourself “don’t let his words get to you”. You looked down at yourself through the reflection, “i’m not that bad looking” you told yourself as you moved your hair out of the way.
“What are you doing?” you jumped and immediately stood up “nothing” you lied. Neteyam crossed his arms looking you up and down, you felt daggers throughout your body and your breath got caught “nothing just got teased” you said exhaling.
You turned back around and waved your hand to dismiss him— it felt weird. He wasn’t looking at you with hatred and neither were you, you were extremely vulnerable but you hoped he didn’t notice.
“Just go,” you said shaking your head as you held yourself with your arms, you watched as his figure appeared in the reflection of the water. “No” you felt anger slowly bubbling up, “why?” you said as your fingernails slightly dug into your skin.
“Because i just…don’t want to,” he said hesitantly. You felt the heat rise and you were trying to hold it back— you didn’t know why everything was weird about this interaction. Was he messing with you? Was he trying to get under your skin? What was he doing? The thoughts racing in your mind were interrupted by his piercing voice.
“Whatever happened don’t let it bother you,” he said and you whipped your head to see him standing all stoic-like. The anger you were caping popped and you felt the words spill before you even think. “What do you even know kurkung!” You immediately shut your mouth tight with wide eyes, neteyam’s face went from emotionless to rage in seconds.
It was a blur— he grabbed you and pushed you into a nearby tree knocking the wind out of you. He hissed and placed his forearm against your neck pinning you. You felt your stomach drop and you struggled against him— “let go!” you hissed kicking. You tried to bite him and step on his toes but nothing was working as he kept his grip. “Shut up!” he gritted and pushed his arm into you harder shutting you up.
You cursed to yourself as you felt lightheaded and were forced to conserve the air that was being taken from you. You stared daggers into neteyam and if looks could kill— both of you would be dead. You wished to claw out his eyes and skin him alive as he bared his fangs at you, you knew he wanted you to submit but you didn’t want to play his game. “Listen to me” he warned and you spat in his face.
He immediately switched from choking you with his forearm to his hand. You gasped and clawed at his fingers, he wasn’t going to kill you but you definitely felt the pressure on your airway. “You’re so damn infuriating!” he hissed and wiped his face, “I try and be nice and this is what thanks i get?!” he yelled getting in your face.
You felt your heart beat race and you felt antsy— you wanted to escape his hard gaze and grip “Let. me. go.” you seethed. You didn’t like what you were feeling something about this side of neteyam made your heart skip a beat. What was wrong with you? He was literally choking you, but you were secretly loving the power he had over you.
“You will learn to respect me,” neteyam said sternly. You mentally groaned, you knew if you didn’t comply you would pass out but if you did you could just go home and forget about this entire situation— at the cost of your dignity. You bit your lip and swallowed your pride as you nodded, “say it” neteyam said tightening his grip and your head was throbbing as your vision was slowly going out.
“Respect i’ll respect you,” you said quickly and he let you go. You immediately fell to your knees and tried to take in as much air as you could as you coughed. “Good,” he said and walked off, you rubbed your neck and bit your cheek because it was going to bruise if it wasn’t already.
The “incident” had you thinking for a while, you couldn’t get it out of your head. Every time you thought about it you subconsciously rubbed your neck even though the bruising had healed completely. He was seeping into your mind and neteyam slowly became the only thing that you thought about. You hated him even more because of that— you wanted to get him back and make him pay for it. You just never had the opportunity until now.
Neteyam was practicing hitting a target, and you had followed him from home tree. Quietly hopping from tree to tree with your bow. You wanted to show him up and prove that you were infact better.
You watched as he just barely made the bullseye and you smirked. He got visibly frustrated because he didn't hit perfectly, and you were snickering silently. You liked watching him mess up— it made you feel better about yourself in a weird sadistic way. You drew your bow and aimed at his target from above and let it fly— hitting the bullseye dead center.
You smirked and neteyam immediately whipped his head around bow ready and you laughed “I hit the target because you couldn’t!” His face immediately went red from embarrassment and he started stomping towards you. ‘Oh shit’ you thought to yourself as you ran away scared that what happened last time would happen again.
“Get back here!” neteyam yelled as he climbed the tree and chased after you. You jumped quickly as you could from tree to tree trying to lose him. You turned around briefly to see where he was and a branch smacked you in the face sending you back and down to the ground.
The wind was knocked out of you as your back arched and you held your face in pain, “oh my fuck” you said as tears welled in your eyes. Your whole body was in pain as you tried to get up as quickly as possible, but it was too late neteyam had caught up.
“You’re like a baby making so much noise” he gruffed. He pushed you back down with his foot and you hissed as you smacked his leg and got up. “Bah!” he shook his head and as you rose up he looked into your eyes “why did you do that?” he said sucking in his cheek.
“I said it already,” you said walking away, you couldn’t handle this right now. He followed and you groaned “stop!” you raised your voice “whatever you’re trying to do stop it, i hit the target because i followed you because i was noisy and i got hurt so i’m going home” you said as your face went red from embarrassment.
He grabbed your arm and turned you around “but why?” he said as his eyebrows furrowed. You puffed your cheeks and pinched the bridge of your nose “i don’t know! okay i wasn’t thinking” he shook his head. “You know why and you will not tell me” he stared into your eyes and you felt your heart race. He was too close and you could smell him and it was fogging your brain.
You tried to push him away but he grabbed your hands “why cannot you just tell me” he said holding your hands in place as you tried to break free from his grasp. You hissed and tried to kick him but he just got angry and cornered you as your breath hitched when he got so close you could feel his breath. “Tell. me.” he said staring into your soul, you felt like you were going to explode at any second. You wanted nothing more than just to crawl in a hole and pretend to be dead.
“I. do. NOT. know.” you said gritting your teeth, as you squirmed. He licked his lips and rolled his eyes “you think i’m a fool?” he said tilting his head and you felt your cheeks heat up. His eyes immediately narrowed and you hoped he didn’t notice. “No i just rather not tell you” you said jerking towards him and he laughed still holding you. “What happened to respecting me?” your face immediately went white remembering. “I do!” you said trying even harder to escape but he wasn’t budging.
You were getting fed up with all of this and your head was hurting and you wished he would shut up. His mouth kept running but you said spaced out hoping he would talk himself to death but you couldn’t handle it anymore “Shut up!”
He snickered and grabbed your jaw with his hand, “respect” he said as his face got closer. Your breath was ridged and you looked at his lips wishing they were on you. You immediately blinked and shut that thought away as he pulled you back into reality. “I’m sick and tired of this,” he said looming over you. You couldn’t focus on anything other than his face and lips, the way his eyes stared at you with hate.
You looked up through your eyelashes and reached up to shut his mouth. A rush of adrenaline hit you and he immediately pushed you away and looked at you starstruck. There was a moment of silence as you both shared a breathless look before crashing reconnecting lips. You put your hands into his hair as he kissed you as you were his last breath. Opened mouths and opened hearts as you both pulled away for some air as you both looked at each other in awe.
You cleared your throat and he rubbed the back of his neck as you too shared beet-red faces. “Well we should get back,” you said looking off to the side not being able to handle the embarrassment. “Yea..we should,” he said awkwardly as he also looked off to the side. Your heart was racing and you had no idea what to do with your emotions and a million thoughts were racing in your head.
“I don’t really hate you” neteyam said looking at you sheepishly hoping you’d understand what he was truly trying to say. Your heart swelled “i know” you softly said messing with the beads on your song cord. “I’m sorry” he said and you looked into his eyes unsure. You wanted to believe him but you were so scared of being hurt “i am too” you said hesitantly. “I’m also sorry i called you a kurkung” you said as you both shared a little chuckle.
“People’s expectations can push you to think you hate another person” neteyam said as he rubbed his arm. You had never seen him be this expressive or vulnerable and it was a change you weren’t use to, but you knew he was being genuine. Your heart raced as you reached to grab his hand “i see you” you half smiled as you stared into his eyes. His eyes widened and his gaze softened as your eyes looked at him empathetically.
He squeezed your hand and nodded half smiling “i see you too”.

Eywa makes no mistakes. Y/N had clung to these words her whole life, since the day her parents were taken by the merciless war against the sky people. She found comfort in knowing that her journey was already prewritten, destined for a greater purpose. But she had never expected for Eywa to turn her world upside down, forcing her to question everything she believed in, and lead her to a love that she never imagined possible…
The scent of smoldering herbs filled the air, mingling with the soft groans and hushed whispers of the healers attending to the small party of warriors. Y/N's deft hands worked quickly, spreading the last thick layer of healing poultice over the gash on his arm. He winced at the searing pain, then let out a weak chuckle at his own reaction.
"Mawey," she murmured to the injured warrior, her voice sweet with warmth that she failed to conceal, “We are done.” Their eyes met briefly, and a blush crept up Y/N's cheeks.
She turned away, to hide a small smile that tugged at the corners of her lips, and stepped closer to Kiri to search for another remedy in their shared basket. Neteyam, sitting beneath his sister's tender ministrations, winced slightly. His eyes then spotted Y/N, who was rifling through the herbs and ointments, though her thoughts seemed to drift somewhere else.
“What are you looking for?” Kiri asked, poking her head out from behind her brother.
“Oh,” Y/N turned, flashing the siblings a sheepish smile, “Was just making sure that we had enough eanean.”
Kiri nodded, though she was hardly convinced. Having worked with Y/N side by side for years now, she had grown to read her subtle moods. Over the past few months especially, with the increased work, the two women had become closer, and Kiri had suspected that there was something going on between Y/N and Kaye, the warrior she was just tending to. But she ultimately decided not to intervene.
“I still don’t understand how you even crossed paths with those skxawngs at the Eastern border,” Kiri returned to the conversation she was having with her brother.
"They were lying in wait," Neteyam answered, his gaze still fixated on Y/N, "I don't know how they figured out we'd be there today, but they attacked us from above."
"That's very bad," Kiri sighed, applying fresh bandages to his back, “What if there were more of them?”
She circled to stand in front of her brother, while her eyes darted around the spacious tent. The healing tent had been expanded due to Mo’at’s request, who had decided that the old one was too cramped. Mo’at also took on more students because of the attacks from the sky people, and the clan now boasted a larger number of healers than ever before.
"We probably wouldn't have made it out alive," Neteyam sighed, disappointed.
The future Olo’yektan saw no point in hiding the intensity of the day’s event; he had barely escaped his own death earlier. He was assigned to lead the party, and the weight of bringing his warriors to safety was heavy on his shoulders. How could he ensure they would never end up in the same situation again? Getting trapped by the sky people, almost facing death. He couldn’t help but feel insecure in his own ability as the future chief, maybe he wasn’t ready to pass his Dream Hunt yet.
Kiri's shoulders slumped in response, though the answer wasn't difficult to guess. She stole a quick glance at Y/N, who seemed to be frozen in place, listening to the conversation. If anything happened to Kaye, if she lost another person she loved to the war, would she be able to bear it?
The familiar touch of Kaye's hand on her back broke Y/N out of her thoughts. As he passed by, uttering a grateful "thank you," she blushed deeply, but the worry in her eyes was not lost on Neteyam.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
Y/N dipped her feet into the cold water, feeling the soreness starting to slip away from her body. The river was serene, calming her, as she had been on her feet all day, working under the watchful eyes of Mo’at and tending to the injured warriors. Kaye, who sat next to her, nudged her thigh with his. She could feel the warmth of his body against hers, his canines peeking out with a small smirk.
“You know I don’t like it when you are upset with me,” he said, nudging her again playfully, “Y/N.”
Her ears twitched, as she turned to look at him with a hint of annoyance at how unserious he was being. He had accidentally blabbered about his stupid idea to take on two geared up sky people at once and almost lost his arm during the encounter.
“The Great Mother may have looked after you today, but it won’t always be so,” she said firmly, “I lost my parents to a slip-up like this. Eywa does not intervene in these matters.”
“I know,” Kaye cupped her cheek tenderly, recognizing the reminiscing in her eyes, “I will be more careful.”
She leaned into his touch, eyes closing for a moment with a small sigh. Her mind wandered back to the memories of her parents. It was a pain that never fully went away, a constant ache that still kept her up at nights.
“I worry about you, Kaye,” she murmured.
“And I worry about you,” he replied softly, his thumb rubbing circles on her cheekbone, “Which is why I think it is time to tell my family about us.”
Y/N blinked at him, feeling the familiar spark of hope ignite within her, but she quickly pushed it aside. She had heard these words from Kaye before, a promise that he had broken time and time again. His family held importance in the clan, his parents were strict, determined to arrange a mate for Kaye, just like they did for the rest of their children. And she was never worthy of their attention. She had nothing to offer to them. Kaye knew that too well, but he continued to give both of them false hopes of a bright future together.
“You don’t have to, it is no rush,” she mumbled, wondering if her devotion to him would ever be matched, “I don’t want you to fight with your parents.”
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
Like in the womb of Pandora, surrounded by the elders and the Tsahik, Neteyam proudly wore the white paint on his body as he silently took a seat in the middle of the circle. His mother lingered behind with a mixture of worry and pride on her face; she had looked forward to the day her firstborn passed the Dream Hunt, but the earlier encounter with the sky people had shaken her slightly. What if Neteyam was too tired and wouldn’t survive his uniltaron? Jake threw an assurring arm around her shoulder, pulling her into his chest, and she gratefully complied, peeking at her son with a smile. Jake was grinning, confident that Neteyam, who had already accomplished so much at his age, would pass his trial with ease. He had prepared for it for months, what’s one more rite?
The chanting began to pick up with the beginning of the ritual, and knowing his role too well, Neteyam opened his mouth willingly when Mo'at approached him with a glowing worm hanging from her fingers. The worm wiggled around as Neteyam closed his lips around it and chewed it down. The smoke from burning herbs filled his nose and eyes, burning all the way to his lungs.
The chant grew louder and more hypnotic, and the taste of the worm on his tongue numbed his buds like a torch. Neteyam felt his body vibrate involuntarily, and as his father placed an arachnoid on his neck, he felt it stung him twice mercilessly. Neteyam squeezed his eyes shut, blocking out the noise and the pain, as his mind began to slip into a trance. He could feel his lungs give out with a sharp pain and as he desperately gasped for air, it seemed like he was falling, spiraling down with nothing to grab onto. His heartbeat suddenly was louder, faster in his ears, thumping in a rhythm as he plummeted it down. The world went dark, and when he opened his eyes, Neteyam saw himself in the forest, surrounded by mist.
His body went limp for a moment, bright sunlight blinding his vision. He gathered his energy and barely moved to his feet, when with a sudden gust of wind, a banshee flew right above him, so close to the ground that it almost threw him off. Instinctively, Neteyam reached to cover his eyes with his hand, and then he was no longer himself.
His body ached, as it began to stretch out. His hands were growing, transforming into wings, as venom flowed through his blood, he was suddenly floating above the forest. It was like he was on the back of his ikran but the feeling was more intense. Unmistakably, his mind was no longer his own, Neteyam saw and felt through the banshee.
A rush of adrenaline burst through him, and Neteyam, for the first time in his life, was free, as he soared through the sky. He couldn’t express it, but he could feel it somewhere in his heart that this is what he was meant to be. One with Eywa.
As he flew over the trees, he spotted and neared closer to himself. His own Na’vi body stood small and fragile from the new point of view. But there was also somebody else standing next to him. A woman holding his hand. She was laughing, her voice vibrantly filled his ears with a pleasant sound. A long necklace wrapped around her neck and hung all the way down to her stomach, adorned with big beads, glistening under the sun, and blue feathers. Her hair was let down in soft waves, and her face… When Neteyam tried tracing her features, he realized he couldn’t. The image began to slip away from him, and he felt his body betray him once again…
Suddenly, his eyes flew open, the darkness of the cave enveloping him. His trembling body was arched, palms digging into the soil beneath him, sweat rolling down his face in big drops. Neteyam took a moment to regain his breath, heart pounding.
“It is finished,” Mo’at’s voice broke the silence, words echoing through the cave.
Neteyam winced slightly at the loudness and rubbed his eyes to regain his vision. He could feel the eyes of elderly on him, then the relief in his mother’s voice, as she rushed to his side. Her hands reached for his face, massaging his temples.
“Did you see your spirit animal?” Neytiri asked with a smile, her eyes brimming with curiosity.
Neteyam nodded weakly, a small smile of his own stretching across his lips.
“I saw an ikran… I was the ikran!” he exclaimed, his laughter filling the cave.
Jake and Neytiri joined in his giddy laughter, the rest of the circle smiling in approval. Neytiri pulled her son into a tight embrace.
“We are very proud of you, son,” Jake said, crouching down next to them and patting Neteyam’s head, knowing exactly what he went through.
“Thank you,” Neteyam smiled, then as if he remembered another vision from his Dream Hunt, continued, “But I saw something else too!”
Mo’at approached him hastily, making a room for herself, as she splayed her fingers against Neteyam’s face. She peered into his amber eyes with curiosity, urging him to continue.
“I saw a woman,” he smiled, the memory returning to him, “She was holding my hand… well, the hand of my Na’vi body.”
Neytiri gasped softly, her eyes widening with shock. Mo’at’s expression remained stoic, though she gripped Neteyam’s shoulder.
“Did you recognize her, child?” she questioned, concealing her surprise.
“No, I couldn’t see her face,” Neteyam shook his head with a slight disappointment, “She was a Na’vi woman. But I couldn’t see her clearly.” He looked to his father, seeking answers, but found only confusion there.
Neytiri and Mo’at shared a knowing glance before rising to their feet. Neytiri brought her hands to her chest, anxiety etched onto her features. Jake registered it immediately, now alerted too by their reactions.
“Is something wrong?” he whispered to her.
She looked back at him, confusion marring her expression. She wasn’t really sure what it meant, only knew that Eywa very rarely sent a vision during the uniltaron. Mo’at circled around Neteyam, the air thick with tension. He waited patiently, his eyes trained on his grandmother, though he was already a little worried by how long she waited to speak. She took a step back and motioned for him to stand up. He complied, his body still weak.
“The Great Mother had blessed you with another vision, a peek into your destiny,” Mo’at’s tone was serious.
Jake’s ears perked up, unsure if it should excite him or scare him. He looked around the cave, seeking for a similar reaction, but everyone except him and Neteyam seemed to have an idea of what it meant.
“What does it mean, grandmother?” Neteyam asked carefully.
“It is time, Neteyam,” Mo’at spoke with a glimmer of pride in her eyes, “The Great Mother thinks you are ready to take a mate. Your journey begins now.”
Neytiri wrapped her arms around her son once more with a bittersweet smile. She seemed relieved by the explanation. Neteyam, like the perfect son, had passed every rite on his own. Now it was time for him to face the rest of his challenges with a woman by his side, someone he would love and cherish. He wouldn’t have to be alone anymore. Jake watched with the same confused expression on his face, ever so often glancing at Neytiri to try and understand how he should react.
“If you have already chosen a mate in secret from the clan, you must reveal it now, child,” Mo’at spoke again.
“No, grandmother, I have not chosen,” Neteyam shook his head firmly, “I am not mated with anyone.”
“Very well,” Mo’at heaved a sigh, then tilted her head slightly, “Do you have anyone in mind for the role?”
“No,” he shook his head again, this time slightly embarrassed by his own answer. It was the only thing he lacked so far, “I didn’t have time for that.”
The words brought a pang of guilt to his parents. They both lowered their ears immediately, feeling fully responsible for raising their son with such a weighty burden on his shoulders.
“Good. Then the search begins,” Mo’at announced, “You will hear the answer soon.”
Neteyam felt his heart sink. His mouth hung open, as he looked around the cave for support but the elderly only seemed content with the decision and began to disperse. He would hear the answer? Were they going to decide for him? Of course, arranging bonds was quite common and successful in his clan, especially within the line of Olo’eyktans. Their mates were chosen carefully, keeping in mind that the couples had to be strong enough to lead their people through thick and thin. But he was content with his life as of now, exploring the forests and working on his skills. Neteyam didn’t feel ready, despite his vision. He glanced at his father, who was now frowning and clearly holding himself back from speaking, biding his time until they were left alone to discuss the matter further.
“Neteyam, you should go to the celebration, your brother and sisters have been waiting for you this whole time," Neytiri spoke softly.
"But mother -" Neteyam tried to protest.
"No buts, boy," his father interjected, “You did well. Go celebrate."
“Fine,” Neteyam nodded, his voice falling to a whisper.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
It has been a few days since Neteyam passed his Dream Hunt, but he was already impatient for his grandmother’s decision. It could take her months to make it, yet he couldn’t help the anxiousness. Was he too late to choose a mate for himself? What made it worse was the conversations he overheard between his parents. He tiptoed around the corner of his family tent, his mind already racing with conflicting thoughts. He had gathered every argument and piled it into a high tower, ready to unravel it onto his parents, but as their voices grew louder, he couldn't help but eavesdrop.
"I can’t believe you’re going along with this, Neytiri," Jake's voice echoed, his tone growing more exasperated by the second. "He should have a choice in who he wants to spend his life with."
"He didn’t make a choice in time," Neytiri replied, her voice firm, "But the Great Mother has. A mate has already been chosen by Eywa.”
“And what if he doesn’t like this arrangement? You were in his place once,” Jake was upset. He had never expected Neytiri to agree with Mo’at’s decision.
“Ma’Jake,” Neytiri sighed, “Eywa makes no mistakes. Neteyam received a clear sign, it would be foolish to ignore it.”
Neteyam's heart skipped a beat at her words. His mother seemed determined that it was the right step to take, and deep down, he thought he agreed with her. He had to trust in the wisdom of Eywa. Yet, Neteyam was scared because of his own helplessness.
“I don’t know…” Jake trailed off.
It wasn't fair play, arguing with Tsahik’s decision, with Eywa’s signs. Jake may have lived on Pandora for over 20 years, having been reborn as a Na’vi, but he still felt like an outsider when it came to the traditions of the clan. He wasn’t going to enforce his opinions with his position as Toruk Makto and go against everyone. But he also didn’t want to see his son suffer.
Neteyam sighed before stepping into the tent and revealing himself. Both of his parents stiffened, having suspected that he overheard their conversation. He felt caught between two and he had no other choice but to put a stop to it.
“‘Itan,” Neytiri’s expression softened, sensing the uncertainty in his eyes. She walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder, “I know that you might feel confused but I believe that accepting Eywa’s sign will lead you to being a strong leader someday. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices, but ultimately the Great Mother looks after us. Our fate is already written.”
“Whatever your grandmother decides, you don’t have to go along with it, if you don’t want to, Neteyam,” Jake added with a strained voice, “Trust your heart.”
Neytiri nodded with a small sigh. She too was conflicted, torn between her trust and her love for her son. The vision during the Dream Hunt was a rare blessing, and Neytiri didn't want Neteyam to miss out on it.
“You have been destined for greatness, ‘itan,” her expression softened, “We will be with you every step of your journey.”
“Thank you,” Neteyam looked between his parents, “But I decided to accept the sign. And I want to make you proud,” he added, his voice barely above a whisper.
Jake and Neytiri exchanged a glance. Neteyam could feel the weight of his clan's expectations heavy on his shoulders, like he couldn’t refuse, no matter how much his parents expressed they would support him. Now, as he looked at their worried faces, he knew he had to put his own desires aside for the sake of his people.
“Grandmother sent me over to get you. She has her answer,” Kiri’s voice trembled slightly as she delivered the news, interrupting their moment.
Her ears were flat against her skull, face etched with worry for the burden placed upon her brother. She could only hope that he would be happy and at peace with whatever will be decided.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
One man's joy is another man's sorrow.
Becoming the future Olo’eyktan’s mate, getting accepted into his family, being his family, filling the hole left by the death of her parents. To be granted the ultimate praise and be chosen by Tsahik, be approved, be enough. After losing everything, it all seemed too good to be true to Y/N.
Her heart sunk deep in her chest, voice hitching in her throat before words of protest could even escape. How could she agree to being with Neteyam? Sure, he was handsome, skillful, he was respected and would be sweet to her. But he wasn’t Kaye, wasn’t the one she wanted. Not the one who promised to be hers. No. It was going to be Neteyam, the future Olo’eyktan. The guy who had grown up with the eyes of the whole clan on him. Who was performing all the time, concealed his true feelings. Someone whom she didn’t know well, whom she never saw that way.
“Y/N, do you accept?” Mo’at asked, her voice louder this time.
Y/N’s thoughts raced faster at the gravity of the question. Mating with Neteyam would fulfill her duty to her people, a duty to carry on the traditions, an opportunity to belong, to be part of something bigger, greater. To finally feel useful, be able to give back to her clan. She glanced at Tsahik and could see the disapproval etched on the older woman’s features.
Any girl would kill to be in her position. It felt like a slap to even consider rejecting Neteyam, Mo’at was convinced that her grandson was going to be everything and more. She had seen him in her visions since even before he was born. He had a strong heart, was destined to be a leader, guide his clan to a better future, make a happy one for himself too.
The atmosphere was thick with anticipation, each breath Y/N took felt like a burden on her chest. Jake and Neytiri, who stood nearby, waited patiently, hoping for the answer they wanted to hear but also expecting the one they feared. It was hard to tell apart which was which. Y/N stole another glance at Neteyam, whom she had greeted only a few minutes ago, just before his grandmother revealed her vision of Y/N being mated with him. He looked guilty, chewing on his bottom lip, muscles tense, as he desperately seeked for a reaction from her, anything. He felt the guilt eating away at him, he wasn’t blind, Neteyam had seen they way she was around Kaye. He just couldn’t understand why they had never announced it to the clan. Maybe things wouldn’t be so difficult now…
“I-I,” she stuttered, “I don’t know what to say, it is a great honor but…”
“But you deny?” Mo’at raised her eyebrows in disbelief, completely baffled with her answer.
“No - yes,” Y/N stammered, shaking her head, “I am only saying that there are many women in the clan who are worthy of becoming the mate of the future Olo’eyktan. Women better than me, who would know how to lead a clan.”
Mo’at pursed her lips together, clearly dissatisfied. Y/N wanted to scream, to run away, to hide from the responsibility that was thrust upon her so unexpectedly. Neteyam's eyes bore into hers, pleading silently for a chance. But she didn't know him, not really. How could she possibly agree to mate with someone her heart didn’t long for? Neytiri shifted uncomfortably, nudging Jake to do something, anything to ease the situation. He sighed, stepping forward to Y/N.
“I know it can be hard to let people take care of you, kid, but sometimes it is okay to let yourself just be,” he placed a hand over her shoulder, his features etched with sincerity, “Your parents were great people. I thought very highly of them, I truly mean it.”
“I know, Olo’eyktan, they respected you too,” Y/N nodded weakly.
Ever since their passing, Y/N could feel Jake’s protective gaze on her. He had been looking out for her for years now, making sure that people in the clan treated her well. It was him who had asked Mo’at to take Y/N as a student because he saw the potential in her to help others. But now, it was time for him to be taking all that back, and the realization made her heart clench painfully.
“I’ve never told you this but before your mother passed away, I was there with her,” he paused for a moment, “She asked me to take care of you, to make sure you had a place in the clan. And I know of no better way to fulfill that wish than this.”
As he spoke, Y/N's felt like shrinking under the weight of his arm still resting on her shoulder. She couldn’t tell him that her heart belonged to someone else, someone she could never have because she had nothing to offer. Nothing to give, nothing to make his family think she was worthy of him.
“The sign of Eywa was clear,” Neytiri chimed in, drawing attention back to her, “Neteyam had a vision during his Dream Hunt. He saw his mate.”
“But that’s… that never happens during Dream Hunts!” Y/N seemed baffled too.
She looked at Neteyam, hoping for a further explanation, but he seemed to be lost in his own thoughts. Shame and pressure showed on his face, as if the argument made by his mother put him into an even deeper pit of despair.
“It happens rarely,” Neytiri continued, then smiled softly, as if catching up on with her own thoughts, “Very rarely, Eywa sends these signs to exceptional Na’vi. It must be her way of saying that it is time to let somebody else help him on the rest of his journey.”
Useful. It was the precise word Y/N used, whenever she asked for Tsahik’s help during the lessons. When her eyes would go red from the amount of tears she shed when she felt unwanted. When she hid herself from the man she loved because his parents would never accept her. Y/N had always been a hard worker, eager to prove herself in the clan, but no matter how much she did, it never felt enough.
Neteyam watched her with fear and desperation. Now the more he thought about it, the more he wanted to make things work. The pressure of being the perfect son, the future leader, was a weight that he needed to share with someone strong.
Then they saw it. A single atokirina’, a sacred seed that had last appeared to Y/N on the day her parents were killed, floated around her, casting a soft glow over her features. For a moment, nobody spoke, watching the seed with adoring smiles. Y/N's expression softened too, feeling as if the Great Mother herself had blessed her. Eywa had spoken.
“It seems like Eywa tries hard to convince you, my child,” Mo’at's words were soothing, her voice softening as she spoke with adoration for her world.
"To be chosen by Eywa is a wondrous thing,” Neytiri added with a grin.
Y/N’s gaze met Neteyam's, his eyes searching for any sign of what she was thinking. Did he feel the same pressure as her? Did he want this, or was he as trapped as she was?
“Is this really how it works?” Y/N asked, her voice barely more than a whisper.
“Eywa speaks to us in many ways, my child,” Mo’at nodded.
