(TW VENT AND VIOLENCE MENTION)
Everyone experience different and need stop act like everybody same.
Neurofeedback HURT ME. NOT HELP. NOT HELP ME.
Neurofeedback supposed to help people, NOT HELP ME. HURT. HURT.
my brain waves were "irregular", it made me feel sick, and I want to cry.
STOP ACT LIKE ALL HELP. Help some. not all. not help me. feel terrible. hurt. hurt.
made me feel fucking terrible and I want someone to crush my head with a sledge hammer. (/nsrs)

I was reasonably diagnosed with POTS and suspected gastroparesis. I have several other gastrointestinal issues and chronic bowel issues. I need to start seeing a pelvic floor physiotherapist and a gastroenterologist as well as organise a chronic disease management plan.
On top of that I have struggled with mental health challenges for 20 years. I am in recovery from an eating disorder, complex post traumatic stress disorder, and many other things. I have also been diagnosed this year with ADHD.
I have 37 hospital admissions in the last 6 years, have been in therapy for 10 years, am on 17+ medications daily and am currently doing neurofeedback as well which costs $800 a month.
I am unable to work and am on the disability support pension. Myself, and my parents have run out of money.
Would so appreciate any support for ongoing expenses and specialists but completely understand that money is tight for everybody x

So, one of my hcs is that Twisted Wonderland has not acknowledged the existence of mental health disorders; and since I started neurofeedback recently, I thought I'd share my headcanons on what it would be like for Floyd Leech to come to our world and do neurofeedback himself.
Note: this is largely based off my own experiences with some adjustments made to fit his personality, I'm not a professional any way and this is largely just for fun.
Floyd Leech and Neurofeedback
Floyd was reluctant to try it at first- you had mentioned it may help his mood swings, but it sounded lame at first.
Until you had invited Floyd to watch one of your sessions (as long as he agreed to be quiet) and was fascinated by the way the clinician stuck things to your head.
When he asked you about it later, you said that it felt like a cat licking brain goop onto your head.
He decides he wants to try it, and so he signs himself up for twenty sessions, alongside a briefing before he can start doing what you're doing.
During the briefing, he has to play a game where he has to pay attention to a device and "catch the target"...
Proceeds to throw the device after five minutes.
You were prepared though, so you caught it before it could shatter on the wall.
You manage to calm him down to try again, but this portion seems to only agitate him more than anything.
At least you had the foresight to have Floyd fill out the sheets of what sorts of physical and emotional symptoms he goes through before he was put in a bad mood...
When his first session starts, a few days later, he insists that you be there.
Giggles like a maniac when the clinician starts applying the gel to attach the electrodes to his head.
He thinks it feels like Jade's tongue, back when they were tiny and liked to groom each other and Azul.
Floyd gets to play a fun game for fifteen minutes, and then relax while watching the show you were watching in your sessions; Wednesday, while reporting any physical symptoms he may feel (headaches, stomachaches, nausea, other body aches, etc...)
Overall, he feels great. He had a fun time, and he's in a good mood.
"I can't wait for my next session! You'll be there again, right Shrimpy~?"

What audio programs are used in programming? such as binaural beats or other audio files? can these files be found and listened to online in any way?
The goal of audio sounds in programming is to induce brain wave states in the individual.
The five main brain waves are:
Delta (0-4 Hz) Theta (4-8 Hz) Alpha (8-12 Hz) Beta (12-40 Hz) Gamma (40-100 Hz)
There is also Epsilon and Lambda
For example: Beta: ~ 15 – 38 Hz Focused, analytical, rational, wide awake, alert awareness; concentrated, focused mind, heightened sensory perception, emotional stability, visual acuity, cognitive control of motor activity
In Programming:
Quiet Wind-The audio hallucination of a quiet wind is used to convince the subject that the Holy Spirit is visiting them. (spiritual programming)
Subliminal Programming-Hidden suggestions that only the subject’s subconscious perceives. They can be audio, hidden behind music, or visual, airbrushed into a picture, flashed on a screen so fast that they aren’t consciously seen, or incorporated into a picture or design.
Programming uses various audio frequencies/tones. Some of them are:
Isochronic tones-are made to sync with the frequency that is being listened to. It’s believed that syncing your brain waves to a certain frequency might be able to induce various mental states.
Binaural beats-Binaural beats are considered auditory illusions. For a binaural beat to work, the two tones have to have frequencies less than 1000 HzTrusted Source, and the difference between the two tones can’t be more than 30 Hz. The tones also have to be listened to separately, one through each ear.
Neurofeedback-A form of treatment wherein brain waves are retrained through auditory or visual stimuli, such as listening to music or watching videos, to influence brain waves.
Sonogenetics-The use of genetically encoded, ultrasound-responsive mediators for noninvasive and selective control of neural activity.
Music-Changes in the bioelectrical brainwave activity that occur while listening to music.
You could find sites that have the frequencies that induce the brain waves on line.

Therapist: so after your last neurofeedback session, you were okay? Were you tired, did you have a headache, anything like that?
Me: Nope! Totally fine!
- one neurofeedback session later -
Me: hey why am I tired and my head hurts

It’s really hard to reconcile parts right now, because some parts are very aware of the progress we’ve made with the neurobiofeedback stuff but some parts are still skeptical about it.
Like logically the treatment is working, we’ve handled a number of crisis situations recently without breaking down and generally coping amazingly.
But it’s just so scary to some parts because it feels fake, like this improvement is just a trick and at any moment we’ll fall back into bad patterns and dysregulation.

I'm amazed that biofeedback and neurofeedback have gotten more common because they require such a high level of commitment that most people who would benefit from it seem like people who wouldn't be able to commit to 1-2 sessions a week with 30-40 sessions altogether (at least) in order to actually see results

does anyone have like. any information on neurofeedback. like credible info. because i’ve looked other places and found like nothing and i just looked here and i found nothing but profile pic less blogs from like offices that do it. it’s being suggested that i try it but i just kinda think the entire thing is a fucking scam from what i’ve seen. it just seems super shady.
also the dude from the clinic i’d end up going to keeps trying to say that adhd is a superpower and he just gives me very bad vibes so

This was important new information about how traumatized people process nontraumatic information that has profound implications for understanding day-to-day information processing.

PRAYING, BEGGING AND ASKING FOR HELP:
I have almost lost all hope. I have been battling complex trauma, depression, self harm, anxiety, suicidal ideation/attempts + an eating disorder for 20 years. I am 25 years old.
I have been in therapy for a decade, on medication for 7 years, have had 33 hospital admissions, tried every type of therapy and I have almost nothing left to give.
I have had psychologists and neuroscientists look at my brain scans, I have been turned away time and time again from psychiatrists that aren’t willing to help. I take 14 different medications every day for my mental health and the most recent psychologists and neuroscientists willing and wanting to help have been absolutely flabbergasted at the combination of medications that I am- from every class of psychiatric drug that should not go together.
My last hope is neurofeedback and EMDR. If this doesn’t work then I have exhausted every single treatment option- CBT, 3 years of DBT, ACT, ECT, TMS etc. I have been turned away from so many treatment facilities and clinicians because I am ‘too complex’ and they’re not qualified or willing to help me.
I currently have two professionals willing & wanting to help but it is incredibly expensive.
I’ve been given the opportunity to commence neurofeedback 3x a week for the rest of the year (9 months) and every month is $750 at absolute minimum.
Mine and my parents bank accounts are drained with no resources left to fill them, we have paid thousands and thousands so far. I need help. My family needs help. Truly, this is the last shot.
I have done everything I can and I have nothing left financially or mentally and emotionally.
I would be so incredibly grateful for any help. I will keep note of every donation first to thank you & to pay you back if one day I ever could. Therapy every week is $200 and Neurofeedback every week is even more on top of that. Medication is up to $150 per week. This treatment could save my life when everything else has been thoroughly exhausted and ineffective. I have done everything I can at this point.🙏🏻

The purpose of the enhancements, as we, the CREC Saint-Cyr, have circumscribed them, is first and foremost one of military effectiveness. They focus on the fighter’s abilities and performance. In the end, they must make it possible for the latter to: 1. A better efficiency in his combatant function as indicated above. 2. To remain alert, to resist sleep, to resist fatigue and stress, i.e. to last physically and mentally. 3. To return to normal after a period of aggression or intense activity of the body. 4. To give oneself courage. 5. A decision aid, or a better acuity in decision making, to avoid errors of choice in complex environments or situations. 6. Even better associating the soldier with his weapon system, such as with brain control, or by using neurofeedback techniques allowing the control of his brain activity.
