"This... this is dangerous..." Caleb breathed. His gasp was stifled, he forced it back as Anders ran his hands up his chest.

"I told you..." the man purred in a low voice. "I didn't get to finish where I left off the other day..." He pressed his lips against Caleb's neck, drawing a muffled whine from the other. He let his lips travel lower to the base of Caleb's neck, his hand slipping higher up his shirt, fingers gently fondling a nipple.

Caleb suddenly shoved Anders back, his face bright red. "While I'm at work though??" He tried to straighten out his pink apron bearing his bakery's logo. "It's still another half hour until I close, can you wait at least that long before you have your way with me?"

Anders glanced around the bakery. It was, regrettably for Caleb, empty. He smirked. Caleb caught that look and shook his head. "Oh no. No. You never know if somebody will come in one minute before closing it happens a lot more than you thi-!!"

Anders cut off Caleb with a kiss to his lips. Caleb hummed into it, wrapping his arms around Anders' neck while the other lifted him onto a counter. "M... maybe for a little bit...~"

Anders hummed back. "I'm sure nobody will interrupt us, my Pink Carnation...~"

Caleb gasped when Anders brought his hand down and pushed his fingers under the seam of his pants, brushing against his lower hips. "Your hands are cold-" Caleb whined.

"They won't be for long..." Anders continued to run his hands lower until they brushed against what he was searching for, Caleb's twitching length. Caleb sucked in another breath. Anders chuckled, "Sorry, still cold?"

Caleb stiffened, his back going rigid once more when the other started stroking him. "Oh... oh my god...~"

"You needed this, huh?" Anders used his free hand to tilt Caleb's chin up and place a kiss on his lips. Caleb pressed back eagerly, a small moan in the back of his throat. He was right, Caleb did need this... They'd both been so busy lately it felt like neither had the time to be intimate anymore... Anders even had to do it while Caleb was still on the clock... The thought of a customer wandering in for a brioche minutes before closing passed his mind again, and he let out another more desperate whine. Anders, he... was moving so slowly...

The man seemed to realize this and rolled his thumb over the head of Caleb's cock, making the other squirm and pant. "Like I said before, I'm sure nobody will interrupt us..."

Caleb's head fell back. He closed his eyes. "How... can you be so sure..?" They flew back open when Anders began to pull his pants down and his shirt up. "W-wait, really?? Here??"

Anders shushed him with another kiss. "Nobody will see us.."

Caleb bit his lip feeling Anders start to stretch him with his finger. "So you brought lube too..?"

"A man in my line of work always needs to be prepared~"

"You sound like a scout leader.."

Anders chuckled and kissed him again. "It's where I got my first taste of rescue missions~"

Caleb suddenly realized he knew so little about the man he was so desperately in love with. Through bouts of pleasure he tried to get him to talk more. "I... mn... I think my first crush was my scout leader if I'm being honest...~" He moaned again when Anders pushed the second finger inside.

"That's funny.. I would think your first crush was someone more like Lion-o or He-man-"

Caleb's hands wrapped around Anders' neck. "I was too young for those cartoons... and I don't care for big and buff men so much as... hah... a man who's strong but can work his hands...~ Bonus points if he's handsome too~" He gasped when Anders curled his fingers. Anders pushed a third one inside.

"I'm not going to lie, I'm jealous of your scout leader.." He bit at Caleb's lip. "He had the privilege of being your first crush..." He continued to stretch Caleb out, curling his fingers at just the right point to draw out another moan. Caleb gazed at him through half-lidded eyes and a face flushed with desire. He struggled to speak.

"W-well are you going to tell me about your first crush or are you going to put it in me now?? I'm... so ready for you...~" His head fell back again feeling Anders push against his stretched hole. He was already hard, he was already lubed, he already had a condom on. Damn, when he said he was prepared for anything, he meant it!

"Wrap your legs around me.." Anders purred, still rubbing his head against Caleb's gaping, aching hole. He did so quickly. Caleb practically pulled Ander's waist and hips closer, his eyes pleading to be fucked and fucked now. He should've known Anders, Mr. I-Save-Abductees-And-Have-No-Idea-How-To-Do-Things-Roughly-To-Innocent-People would push in slowly and deliberately, asking if Caleb was alright the whole time.

"I'm fine, I'm fine," Caleb whined. "Hurry before someone sees us-" He started to push his own hips back against Anders' at how slow he was going.

"I told you, nobody's going to see us.." Anders reiterated, sliding in fully now. Caleb hummed, satisfied. It was about time. But what made him so confident that they wouldn't be caught?

He lifted his head a little, seeing that they were in direct line of the front door. Shit. "H-hurry u- ah!" Anders had grabbed onto Caleb's hips and slammed his own into him. It was so sudden, Caleb wasn't expecting it, there was a burst of heat, and god... damn it he wanted more-!

He didn't have to ask though, he only managed to gasp out "F-Felix~!" before Anders began moving his hips even more.

"I never told you.." Anders panted, his hips slapping against Caleb's. "I want to tell you.."

Caleb was seeing stars. "T-tell me what? Tell me what-hah!" Anders put his arms around Caleb, buried deep inside, and held their two bodies together.

"You were my first crush."

Oh, that. For some reason hearing that little confession sent Caleb over the edge. It was too cute. His body tensed up and he came on his stomach, luckily his shirt was pushed up far enough that he didn't get any semen on his clothes or god forbid his work apron... After coming down from his high, Caleb panted, "N-no way... no way, you're how much older than me and I'm your first crush??"

Anders kissed him again. "I've never really met anyone in my life that gave me butterflies the way you do, Caleb... What do you call it, demiromantic? I don't know if it's because of my work, I never got a chance to fall in love, but... You're the first one that made me feel that way, like I want to spend time with you, like I-" He put a hand to his face. "I love you, Caleb.."

Caleb's eyes began to water. Dammit, how can one man look like that and say things like that and be real?? It wasn't fair.. He can't just... say that! "I-I don't know if I should feel special, but..." He looped his arms around Anders' neck and gazed into his eyes. "I love you too..."

Anders smiled down at Caleb, his own eyes beginning to shine. Caleb reached up and rubbed them with his thumb. "Oh no, you cried last time, now it's my turn~"

They were never interrupted during their love-making, and by the time they both finished, it was well-past closing, 2:20 to be exact. Anders tossed the used condom into the trash in the back (just in case someone found it in the front). He pressed a hand to his ear and mumbled something that sounded like "Right, thanks Summers."

"What was that..?" Caleb asked after straightening his clothes and shedding his work uniform. "Are you in work mode again after that heartfelt confession??"

"Um-" Anders' face turned red. "It's nothing. I'll help you lock up-"

Little did Caleb know the whole reason nobody entered the bakery in that last half hour was because someone had his coworker be a lookout and deter anyone that tried to enter...

"He owes me a coffee tomorrow~"

Kaiju Week in Review (January 28-February 3, 2024)

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition's Godzilla DLC is now available. I joined Wikizilla's stream of it yesterday as a spectator and found it quite entertaining (especially when @squid-in-a-party-hat switched to Creative Mode and started summoning mini-kaiju). I'll post the highlight reel from that stream when it's finished. The main hub of this DLC is a combination movie theater/gallery; each of the four screens lets you access a different minigame. The first is based on the original film and has you rescuing civilians and just trying to survive as Godzilla trashes Tokyo. The second transforms you into Godzilla and pits you and your allies against various kaiju from the first three series. The third tasks you with defending Tokyo against Shin Godzilla, with each defensive phase featuring a different form. The fourth just has you taking photos of the battles in Godzilla vs. Kong (with the Tasmian Sea fight replaced by Godzilla barging into Kong's dome). I found the second and third to be the most interesting, but it's dismaying that only the third really takes advantage of these games being in Minecraft. You scrounge items, build barricades, lay down TNT, trade with NPCs, summon agents, fire blood coagulation potion into Godzilla's mouth from a crossbow... it's a lot more involved than the others.

In further Godzilla video game news, the Heisei MOGUERA and a crystal-hurling SpaceGodzilla variation have joined Godzilla Battle Line, the upcoming Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers mobile game is teasing its original monsters, and Dave the Diver of all things announced a free PlayStation-exclusive Godzilla DLC for May.

Here's a rare sequel to an IDW Godzilla miniseries. Godzilla: Here There Be Dragons II - Sons of Giants will boast the same writer (Frank Tieri) and artist (Inaki Miranda) as its predecessor. The logline:

The sequel to last summer’s smash miniseries! Frank Tieri and Inaki Miranda reunite to explore the conspiracy that led to Sir Francis Drake hiding his treasure on Monster Island! Who are the Sons of Giants, and what is their mission? More importantly, what is their connection to Godzilla and the other monsters? This series shows us how it all came to be, how Godzilla was discovered by the leaders of the world, and how it changed history forever!

Despite the Roman numerals, sounds like a prequel. I still think there's something off about any Godzilla story set before the Atomic Age, but the Sons of Giants were the most interesting part of the original Here There Be Dragons, and historical figures encountering the King of the Monsters is always amusing.

Naturally, Funko is making a line of Pops for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The standout is the Amazon-exclusive figure of a sleeping Godzilla; I also love how Shimo looks like she's yakking. Monogram also revealed the lineup for its sixth wave of Toho Godzilla bag clips, as well as a GxK set. Highlights of the former are a curled-up Final Wars Anguirus, a Simeon, and Zilla; the latter is notable for including a previously-unrevealed monster called a Parrot Frog.

Tokyo's Hibiya neighborhood has long played host to Godzilla statues: first the Kawakita Godzilla, then Shin. Now they're getting a new three-meter statue of the original '54 Godzilla. It emits smoke at night, the mouth glows, and there seems to be some kind of AR app through which he fires atomic breath at you. Despite it being a 70th anniversary installation, however, it'll only be in Hibiya until March 10. I'm guessing that won't be the last we see of it.

AAAAAH okay i'm gonna go slightly out of order to introduce whoever is reading this to my personal brain blorbos. Fair warning all of these are TTRPG characters, mostly my NPCs save for the first two!

A. Why are you excited about this character?

Fanny Paine - ohhhh my beloved Trigun cowgirl OC. I'm so excited to see how her backstory kicks her in the ass (and by backstory, I DO mean her childhood best friend-turned-EOM member Nova).

Sylvie - my tiefling phantom rogue!! She was a joy to play and an absolute bullet in combat. Lethal and impossible to hit. She also was part of the conflict, being a double agent for the big bad's Vecna cult. I spent so much time texting the DM in secret during our sessions as if the BBEG and Sylvie were sending letters back and forth, telling him our whereabouts, before he'd drop in some cult mooks and we'd knock 'em dead. So fun.

Brie - Shadow Sorcerer and Secret goddess of fire! She's from my first campaign but still relevant because I have two groups playing in that world. In one group we have a ranger who denounced his cult to the fire god, so it'll be really fun to reveal that his god is actually the half-elf barmaid they keep seeing in every tavern, and she's way more chill than he thought.

Iris and Humboldt - ah yes. My older (late 50s) human wizard/leader of the largest adventuring guild in my dnd world and her autistic gnome husband who.... looks like Jack Black in Jumanji and accidentally brought on the apocalypse in our first campaign. They're my light academia escapism blorbos now and all they do is sit around and study magic in the coolest city in my world.

Ron - New NPC the party adopted, and he's an amnesiac, kinda undead paladin with spore druid flavoring. The party recently discovered he's.... well, he's Oberon. Not sure how he got here, but the Warlock's patron is Titania. Of the summer court. Yeah, that one. One of the party's quests right now is to retrieve Ron's memories and return him to Titania, and maybe the warlock will get *her* husband back from the Feywild. However, some mysterious figures want Ron dead....

Oh fuck I could also talk about Keats, Tarovir, Vaemyx... AAH too many. But I'm gonna stick to these big ones, plus Tarovir and Vaemyx have massive spoilers for my players D:

H. What trait do you admire most?

Fanny - girl's got gut. She really is "shoot first, ask questions later."

Sylvie - Resilience? She almost died, admitted she had been a spy, and almost got killed by the party all in one day. And then her best friend, the only one who trusted her, died. Thank god she ended up happy.

Brie - she loves her friends and loves to have fun. She's chaotic good in the funniest ways. When I play her I just get to be stupid.

Iris and Humboldt - THEY LOVE EACH OTHER. SO MUCH. SAVED EACH OTHER BACK TO BACK WHEN THE ALMOST DOOMED THE WORLD. Seriously, I rolled Iris' portent rolls and got an 18 and a 20 the day they summoned the BBEG. If it wasn't for that, Humboldt would have failed his death saves.

Ron - man look, he's just taking it day by day. He's very tired. But at least he has a lot of patience.

13. What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?

Fanny - she wears mostly browns but has a blue undershirt. She looks best in blue!

Sylvie - blue and silver coded. Looks best in black and dark blues.

Brie - wears cream and blues, would look great in green!

Iris and Humboldt - blues/silvers and browns respectively

Ron - this man is covered in dirt. Like he deserves.

Fanny - Charlie, her new friend who is an EOM reject. Fanny is a very protective momma bird.

Sylvie - her best friend, the elven druid Eldrid.... who died. It was really fucking sad, I miss that PC. They were in so many cahoots together.

Brie - the first party I ever DM'd, who adopted her <3

Iris and Humboldt - I could say each other, but really the party was the only reason they got together - they set them up on their first date!

Ron - He knows, like, 3 people.

Welcome back to Wonderful World of Darklords! Our summer hiatus has ended, and we're coming back with a franchise that was our white whale for months: the Toy Story trilogy. (Yes, trilogy. We're so glad they didn't make any more movies after Toy Story 3, the perfect ending to the series, la la la we can't hear you.) Lotso is a perfect darklord in so many ways, but how can the PCs interact with a domain in which every important character is a toy that pretends to be inanimate whenever humans are around? Cracking that puzzle was harder than evading a toy monkey in a panopticon, but we managed it without nearly getting ourselves incinerated in the process.

Topics discussed include:

How to get your PCs interacting with Lotso in a way similar to how Woody, Buzz, and the gang do, instead of just tying him to the front of a garbage truck;

An in-universe mechanical explanation for why the toys have to freeze in almost every situation, but can move around to scare the pants off Sid;

Why the phrase "Stinky Pete is a Kargat agent" makes perfect sense in context;

A way to make a Sunnyside-based adventure feel like a Toy Story movie, complete with traveling from one location to another on a strict deadline (although, alas, the final destination isn't Andy's house and the deadline doesn't involve anyone moving or going to college);

My Sims 4 (Announcement Page!)

Back in 2007, EA launched MySims, a spin-off of The Sims. The game was a more simplistic life simulator and with dozen of NPC sims and a player character. The story was about the player's character moving into a struggling town and helps fix it.

I grew up playing MySims Agent a bit on my DS. I didn't play the original one until I saw it available to play on PC (bc it's still in stores) and I first played MySims Kingdom on my boyfriends Wii. It was a lot fun and it was a cute casual series. Unfortunately the company of MySims is defunct and the last MySims game was in 2010.

But that doesn't mean MySims was completely forgotten.

In the Sims 4, you can get collectibles that are actually figurines of MySim Characters which are a lot of them and are a fun easter egg.

Additionally, EA made a few MySims characters as premade Sims. But there was a big problem...

They were very...very bad. Bad personalities that didn't match the original characters, bad appearances that were a complete change from the original designs, and in the worst case whitewashed two of them.

So due to these issues and the lack of MySims helping add more variety to the game. I decided to create a new project known as:

My Sims 4

I will be recreating every MySim character there is in the MySims series as well as refix the ones premade for Sims 4. I am also going to set them up as if they are premade meaning reworked personalities, careers, interests, and relationships that better fit the original source material.

I will make two versions for these sims:

Vanilla: The Vanilla versions are for players who either don't play with Custom Content or Console players. It also makes them actually visible on the Gallery

Sundae: The Sundae versions have custom content on there and I will credit all of the original creators for what I use.

Fair Warning: I have most if not all the Expansion, Game, and Stuff Packs (also a few kits but that's it) So it's best to have those if you want to download these sims.

I'm excited to get started with this! First will be the BFF Household (Summer, Travis, and Liberty) and the sisters (Candy and Yuki)

AVENGERS + ADJACENT

— Battle of New York was the first domino to fall and also the first mission of the Avengers. Already they were crumbling from the moment they began after being rounded up by Nick Fury. Couple that with Tony Stark’s incessant need to find a way to protect the Earth from the terrors outside the solar system with Ultron, the Avengers are fraying at the seams. There’s a clear divide between them, those for Registration and those vehemently against. Steve Rogers stands in the middle, a man with a code and a mission to save as many people as he can. For now, it’s through being on the MAC, but it’s quickly becoming clear that Congress doesn’t want to see reason. The tensions between those that are in approval of registration and those against is starting to wear thin and it might see the split of Earth’s first major hero team.

X-MEN/BROTHERHOOD

— Charles Xavier, one of the leaders of the MAC, has made it clear that he isn’t going to fight against the Registration laws. As the founder and creator of the X-men and Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, he leads the charge in following the Registration. He has graciously offered all students and members of the X-men to be one of the first to join the list of powered humans. This of course sets off a chain reaction amongst the mutant kind. Those that are for Registration, stay with Charles and the X-men, assuming the best while those that are heavily against the idea of being monitored leave their home behind and join the Brotherhood on Genosha. Scott Summers has left the X-men behind, moving to Genosha to create his own team of fighters hellbent on protecting the lives of the innocent mutant children out there and working on keeping them from the Registration list. Then of course there is the Hellfire Club, the mysterious mutant exclusive group whose intentions are their best kept secret. Only Emma Frost has made her way outside the shroud of mystery in order to sit on the MAC, but really it’s just to keep her feelers out in the world for mutant gain. Tensions are high amongst mutant kind, battle lines are drawn, and the powder keg is about to be lit.

These good men and women of the DODC work tirelessly to make the world safer for those humans who just want to live in peace and harmony. There will be no more shady missions in the background, no priority given to the powered heroes. Only cleaning up the mess that they created in the first place. Except Tony Stark wasn’t exactly all for it. While for Registration after the disaster of Ultron, he knew that having freedom to create outside of the government’s control is imperative. Which is why he and Stark Industries began to poach the former members of SHIELD. While Stark wasn’t a big fan of SHIELD in the first place, at least they did some good. He plans on doing the same. The only problem is the DODC doesn’t necessarily enjoy Stark Industries scalping their best people. SI might just be facing some legal battles with some physical force in the future especially with those former SHIELD agents who have gone to SI without finishing out their government contracts

— Justin Hammer and Aldrich Killian. Two names that should be enshrined in the hall of the greats, but they’ve only become shadowed by Tony Stark. They plan on changing that. Hammer Industries and AIM have teamed up together to work on weapons that target those rogue metahumans who refuse to comply with the government’s wishes. It doesn’t hurt that both of them have grudges against the Avengers, Tony Stark in particular. Sure, their work might be controversial, but they have the government funding and the law enforcement that tend to look the other way when it comes to shady deals. Doesn’t hurt that HYDRA may or may not be slinking its tentacles into the mix too. Illegal experimentation has become rampant behind the scenes, but HYDRA doesn’t have to worry. They have more than a few politicians on their side to keep them from being discovered and what information they learn, they’re giving over to AIM for future weaponry. The illegal, cruel, circle of life if you will.

— Everyone knows that the media only show what they’re paid to show, what stories matter to the people with the deep pockets. Before the registration laws went into effect, there were rumors that the media was being bought, but it wasn’t until the laws happened that it was clear just who was paying the big bucks. Nowadays you can’t turn on a news channel without some TV spot about a rogue mutant or dangerous metahuman destroying property or endangering lives. The civilians of the world are only being fed what the politicians want them to see and that happens to be the downfall of metahumans. If only there were some media personalities out there that planned on fighting back against the blatant discrimination.

BTHB prompt fill #3 - doesn't realize they've been injured

Fandom: technically the Delta Green TTRPG; its from the setting of the my DG-esque solo game Operation Summer Afternoon, during the incident with the returned missing persons' support group. Written from the POV of Kaden, an old!K-Cell agent NPC assisting the new!K-Cell PCs.

Summary: Kaden struggles with what isn't Reese anymore.

Kaden's overtaken before he can mount a counter-defense, feels himself hit the ground hard, followed by his head striking the concrete.

His vision cuts out--

Reese, or what was Reese, is on top of him a second later when he can see again, has hands around the old K-Cell agent's throat, squeezes with inhuman strength. Kaden feels blood somewhere, realizes quite suddenly that it's his, trickling down the back of his head and pooling on the concrete.

He scrambles uselessly, trying to reach for his pistol, thrashing more than anything. A gunshot erupts over the two, and hazily, the agent is aware that the officers who've arrived on scene are engaging. He's not sure that's a good thing.

Another bullet fires, clips Reese in the shoulder. The not-kid hisses at the officer but keeps their hands around Kaden's neck, continuing to squeeze. He can't breathe, he can't, he can't--

Kaden's dizzy, the world's spotted with black. He jerks his head forward, slams the top of it up under Reese's chin, and manages to knock them back just enough to be able to reach up and pry off one of their hands. The world spins; Kaden strains, manages to get up onto an elbow and, with the other hand, rams a fist into Reese's nose. It cracks audibly; he goes for a second hit.

There's no blood, just as there wasn't when Kaden shot him before. Reese should be dead, and yet here they are, an animated corpse.

Something behind Reese moves, snaps through the air; it's Kelsey slamming her pistol into the back of Reese's skull so hard and fast Kaden can hear it split. The kid slumps, still, bloodless.

Kelsey's standing over Kaden now; he lies there, staring up at her as she's haloed by the sun, and for a moment, he thinks it's love in his chest.

Probably just oxygen deprivation, he realizes after a moment, and takes her hand as she helps haul him to his feet.

He can't speak just yet, only draw in gasps of air, gingerly touch his neck with his free hand-- he winces at his own fingers pressing the brusies, then presses a hand to the back of his head. It comes away red and wet.

"Everyone freeze," yells one of the officers. "Don't move."

Kaden would laugh, if it wouldn't hurt to. Kelsey nudges him forward, but he's disoriented, standing there wheezing and trying to keep his wits about him.

In the pause one of the officers fires at them, misses as Kaden finally moves and hurriedly tails Kelsey, stumbling a little. He isn't sure how they manage to get to a tunnel entrance, avoid the police that are swarming the area.

When he reach the living quarters, Kelsey sits him down and gets to work.

Kaden does what she asks, some stupid vision tests, vaugely understands when she says he's concussed. He mumbles something at her about the others. She brings him to the back corner of the living quarters, where it's darker, quieter.

He stares down at the ice pack she's handing him. "The others," he repeats. "We need to -"

"I am on concussion watch, and you are resting," she says, guiding him to hold the ice against his head. "If they make it out, they make it out, and they'll come home."

Kaden blinks hard. "You said that about our cell," he says. Kelsey looks away, doesn't answer him.

He says something else but isn't sure what; whatever it was, it makes Kelsey get up, move toward the open-air entryway to the area.

Kaden wants to sleep. He tells her so. She shakes her head at him. "You'll just die."

He isn't sure that's how this works, but he's not super sure of anything right now, so he's willing to trust her on that, at least. "Are Luke and Ella--?"

Kelsey shrugs. "Not our problem anymore."

Kaden sinks a little further into his chair.

"It shouldn't have happened this way," he says.

The other old K-Cell agent is moving around now, cleaning up a little. She looks over at him. "But it did," she says. "Can't go back and change it." She pauses, eye face softening. "Kaden?"

"Kelsey."

"It's not our fault," she says. "This, or..." She trails off, but he knows what she means. What else could she mean?

Kaden closes his eyes. He can't believe her. No, he needs to get these agents through this alive. If they're dead, he's failed twice. That can't happen, but if it does, it's a reflection of him.

(He was K-Cell's leader then, and he led them to death, too. It can't happen again - it just can't.)

Kaden, who is not a praying man, prays-- let them all come home, let them all be okay.

(Somewhere nearby on Koda's cot, a fake green dyed rabbit's foot grants his wish, unnaturally twisting reality and fate's arm, forcing them to yield.)

The Hitchcocks

Farish is a hairdresser and Danny's primary caregiver in the family. He's a sweet man who loves his wife Amitya a lot. He often pesters Helena to at least let him fix her split ends. Danny often spends a lot of time at the shop with him. Farish is much more laid back than his hardworking wife and doesn't have any qualms with being the 'male wife' as kids call it nowadays.

Amitya is real estate agent for the next town over; while the Hitchcock family moved to Shadow Oaks so Helena could go to a less problematic school, Amitya still has to drive 40 minutes to work every day. Must like Romero's mom Polly-Amitya worries about Helena not making friends as easily as she thought she would. She also frequently worries about Danny who keeps running off from babysitters and escaping the house some how despite their best efforts to get him to stop.

Danny is the Hitchcock's adopted Kenku Son. He's roughly 5 years old, his favorite thing in the world for some reason is Danny Devito and he absolutely ADORES Helena to the point where he keeps escaping the house or babysitters or daycare to go be wherever she is. Danny seems to think she is a very large Crow and that they are a FLOCK now.

The Garten Scouts are an organization of Scouts who promote 4 ideals of Good Morals, Good Ideals, Good Service and Good Behavior. Much like girl scouts, they go around doing good, raising money selling cookies and go camping once a year during the summer. Not...not the Shadow Oaks branch. The Garten scouts in Shadow Oaks are actually a bunch of highschool aged gnomes fishing damaged boxes of cookies out from a dumpster behind the super market, repackaging them and donning uniforms to resell them in other towns soley for the purpose of hustling a few hundred dollars out of idiots. Not everyone in Shadow Oaks has caught on, but a good portion have.

Laurie 'Lord' Edge is a vampire from Celeste Craven's Colony. A colony in vampire terms can be as small as a family unit to large as a whole town-usually minded by one or two Alpha vampires and several of their bitten 'drones'. Laurie Edge is actually a vampire who was bitten after Celeste was given the boot for her arc events to take her place in her colony. He biologically is the son of a very wealthy family known for forging and making swords, knives and daggers thru the ages known as 'Cutting Edge' and always expected him to be a fighter and to take over the family business. Ever edgey, he rejected his family's desires and ran off-letting himself be bitten and adopted into a Colony. While he still doesn't know how to use any other weapons than swords, katanas and knives; he'd much rather be a barbarian as that's much 'cooler' according to him. Which there's not much hope for that given his noodle body. He unironically has a reddit account and all his clothes are red and black. Despite being edgey and posting nihilistic things and always trying to shock people-he has a horribly weak stomach and can’t stand gore sites or horror movies.

Catfish is a half elf who works at the Gas Station just outside of the National Park-the last one in fact for 423 miles before the turn off, so people who plan on taking the driving path thru the park to get the interstate usually hit up Catfish's place before they go. Catfish spins a lot of weird tall tales and he seems to be a provoker in the Hag Myth-claiming he's seen the Hag in the forest herself.

Grandma Meep Meep is Catfish's grandmother and has been living in the town almost as long as it's been founded. Legally, this woman shouldn't be on the road but it doesn't stop her from driving. She has been banned from the Senior center of cheating at bingo, causing general havoc at the senior singles mixed dance and running someone over with a power chair. She's often at the gas station as well, more as a fixture who sits in the corner to keep Catfish company and make chit chat with the regulars. She keeps a long legged Jackalope she calls Butters. There has been at least 12 butters as far as Catfish can remember.

The Hag The Hag is a blair witchesque entity that has existed as long as the town has. The first recorded note of the Hag's existence was in the town's foundling days when it was more of a fort to hold down the area during a war (Shadow Oaks is actually the site of a large skirmish that happened) Several Soldiers on either side had gone missing and after a search party was sent out-their remains were found eviscerated near the creek. Hag sightings began to kick up after that.  Park Rangers don't want to perpetuate the belief in the hag to tourists because they don't want kids with cameras getting lost out there as the Park is also meshed with the fey wild-but because much like people who work in haunted houses, some claim to have seen her. It is not advised to Whistle or Clap as that may attract her attention. If you're camping-leave a necklace or something on a string outside of the camp so if she does come across you, she'll be more inclined to leave you alone as lore states she is fond of 'things on strings'. She often leaves a unique set of tracks as one of her legs is lame and she drags it about most of the time rather than put weight on it-but she is known to move much faster on all 4s. It's also believed she will turn into a massive barn owl with a woman's face. Catfish claims he saw her at the creek, hunkered on all fours drinking from the creek like an animal. Other than the one incident years ago-The Hag hasn't really done anything other than possibly terrorize campers in rumor.

Shea Longshanks – A human drug lord who has taken control of a wing of the prison and requires rent from others in his wing. He has a group of henchmen and acts as if he is a guard/warden.

Malcer Holden – A well-dressed half-elf necromancer who will not state why he is here. In return for information, he requires spoons, which he provides to his army of undead in hopes of digging his way out.

Zenbis Axor – A yellow dragonborn who will not speak to anyone she encounters. She possesses immense magical power but chooses to spend her days solitarily in her cell. Nobody knows the story behind her.

Durgar Steely – This dwarf holds an infinitely refilling beer glass and nobody in the prison has ever seen him sober. He is very friendly and can just about speak and walk normally.

Naroxius – The source of annoyance for much of the prison, Naroxius always manages to find a way to vandalize the prison. He has made clear that he will stop at nothing to escape, however all that he has managed to do is anger other inmates and staff. His current cell now consists of a wooden slab in the corner, after he fireballed his previous one

Argus Shatterhorn – A goliath and zealous follower of a crazed war god. He’s seemingly possesses an infinite trove of energy and vitality, laughing and preaching loudly despite being literally skewered to a wall in his cell. Nothing can shut him up short of magical silence, which he doesn’t seem to notice.

The Witch of Cretchreaver – A very polite sounding woman behind a foot of concrete and a metal door. She requests that you open the tiny hole so that she can get a look at you. She’s a medusa with her eyes pressed against the other side.

Slobfoot the Eloquent – An educated, well spoke goblin who tried to incite a political revolution. He gives a very deep, loquacious philosophical speech to the party.

Thaddeus Null – A blue dragonborn and self-proclaimed God. He doesn’t seem arrogant beside that, just comfortable and quiet. His followers are magically capable, morally bankrupt people who are trying to break him out as they speak.

The Rat – A wood elf who ratted out his bandit gangmates. Can’t be trusted, would sell their own brother for half a smoke. Nonetheless, they keep their eyes and ears open and know a lot about what’s happening in the prison.

Randy Shackleford- human, assailed a government agent with sand and authorities now cannot find his name on any records.

The Smuggler – A male gnome. He is the prison supplier who can find almost anything and smuggle it in the prison in exchange for the prison’s currency (smokes, food, etc.)

Daloriz – A blind vampire who overcame his sunlight sensitivity. He has blindsense, and his power is to the point where he can overwhelm most enemies. When spoken to, he is polite and mentions he has seen the future and knows he must wait here for the right time. Why is this vampire in prison? What is he waiting for? Who is coming? Up to the DM to decide.

Takaar ‘Two shields’ Alzurini – small time dwarf mob boss locked up for extortion and racketeering. He has boys on the outside planning to break him out.

Voracious Veronica – A cannibalistic human who is soft spoken. She claims she was a knight who resorted to ‘the worst sin of all’ when her position was under siege for months. Her skin is pale, her eyes are dull, and her gaze sends shivers up your spine. You’re almost certain she’s lying.

Gregor Brutalous – An imposing half-giant with jet black braided hair, dressed in clean formal clothing. He was a psychotic and incredibly powerful warlord, but years after his arrest insists he is trying to atone for his actions. He can easily escape (or so he claims) but refuses to leave as penance.

Marros Tarmikos – A merchant who was caught up in a bar fight with some religious fanatics. He knows a few secrets about the prison and seems to be a law-abiding citizen for the most part.

Gorgeous Gnurl – An orc pit fighter that lost his champion title to *insert NPC* and in a violent rage murders him and his entire team right there in front of the entire crowd.

Mordekai – Leader of a gang of wererats, he used his rats or ‘little friends’ to spy on people, and to blackmail them, or to sell their secrets to the highest buyer.

Torun Sacanti – This ex-palace guard was thrown in prison after he gave his friend a tour of the duke’s apartments. When asked why he is in prison, he will do whatever he can to distract the party from the question.

Tharon Ash – A Tiefling man who was kidnapped for a part in an infernal ritual but was arrested along with the cult when city guards caught them all. He will do anything short of murder to prove his innocence or escape.

Resh – This culinary master in orcish cuisine can barely speak a few sentences in common. Employed in the kitchen, he is known to sometimes get rowdy and confiscate the fingers of anyone who looks at him the wrong way.

Myrca Faro – Quiet and keeps to herself. She seems capable in many skills, decent in a fight, but is distant, mumbling to herself often, though what she’s saying can’t be heard. She was caught with her crew, but one of them testified against her. She doesn’t seem keen on reuniting since she doesn’t know who.

The Painted Claw – A charismatic rakshasa who enjoys gaining followers and leading them into a suicide pact. He is sending souls back to his master in the nine hells and he has been captured for now…

Habstrek the Painter – A former cart driver turned serial killer, she’s not getting out any time soon; she was captured during a time referred to in the local lore as ‘the summer of art’, in which she killed and drained the bodies of over twenty prison guards’ family members, apparently out of revenge for their extrajudicial killing of her apparently innocent husband, Algnir Half-Tusk. She’s fed via a wand charged with Create Food and Drink, as her cell door is welded shut. Guards hate her above almost all other prisoners, knowing she’d gladly turn her targets into further ‘paintings’.

Elgin Powell – charged with a dozen counts of kidnapping, he was a local mob boss’ favorite enforcer – with no bodies ever discovered, the families of his victims were denied even the peace of knowing that they were able to be contacted via necromancy. Reportedly, he kept his charges in a deep mine and they are, one and all, still alive, just shielded from scrying and blood legacy magic. Knows more about kidnappings than anyone local is likely to have ever considered.

Jimmy ‘Lumberjack’ Jackson – Woodcutter turned assassin. He was brutal, honest, and captured by the palace guards when they asked him to start signing his work; reportedly, he’s still working from inside of the prison, except his rates are infinitely more affordable. His signature weapon remains undiscovered – which is a neat trick, considering that it’s a massive war axe.

Anna – Kept in a dark room and bound with magic sigils, Anna is a deeply motivated, highly disturbed wandering killer, captured after a five-year hunt by professional adventurers; her modus operandi was to disguise herself as an orphan human child, infiltrate colonial outposts, and then systematically destroy food, water, and medical supplies, forcing the pioneers into madness, murder, and cannibalism. Rumors say that she’s responsible for the failure of two nation-states’ failure to expand their territories. She’s boasted she’d gladly take one another job, if freed.

Rankle the Bookkeeper – A master of puppeteering and palace intrigue, he went from entertainer to information broker in under a year; his spies consist of handmade puppets, each one capable of recording sights and sounds, he extorted vast amounts of funding from select projects and missions, lining his own pocket freely until he was captured under what many consider unusual circumstances. Some say that he did so to protect himself from the palace paladins and clergy, all of whom are above harming prisoners.

Coins and Pouch – Master forgers and loan sharks, these two brothers are a regular feature in the prison yard, dealing out loans with reasonable interest rates and obtaining rarities for other prisoners; it’s said that on the day they were brought into the prison, they presented a set of keys to a well-appointed cottage to the chief guard as a token of their appreciation. Ever since, they’re under protection and weekly payments continue to provide them with many creature comforts. Every year, on the anniversary of their incarceration, the guard that treats them the best receives a key to another cottage.

Aldac – Former adventurer, expedition guide, reformed arsonist, and now a leader of a prison yard ‘exercise group’, this monk is a dangerous person; some say that she’s building an army, others that it’s a cult, and nobody wants to test her in a straight fight since she crippled her last opponent in under ten seconds. Anything that requires focus and determination, she’s happy to offer her thoughts on, free of charge – provided that she’s shown proper respect first. Her sentence is for a triple life duration – tough luck for her, as her species is a long-lived one.

Thack – A monstrous human, he was a warlord by age fifteen, a respected bandit king at twenty, and captured during his attempt to seize the capital itself, turned over by his own command structure in exchange for lenient sentencing for war crimes. Passionate, charismatic, and mysteriously possessing a keen ear for music, he’s an example of what can happen to a Bard if they decide to turn war itself into a performance art. He’s making money through the writing of strategic, tactical and logistic guidebooks, periodically singing for the lost days of his misspent youth. He turns twenty-three in a month.

Rejoice-Cried-The-Kraken – Still living her best life, RJCTK is a priestess first, bandit second, and a model prisoner third, choosing to ignore her history of piracy and looting in exchange for running a small group of like-minded believers in the church she’s built in her cell; she served as a first officer on the flagship of a vast pirate fleet, choosing who lived and who was sacrificed to her deity, often by slow drowning or something that officials referred to as ‘hook dancing’. She makes a few extra coins giving nautical theme tattoos for fellow prisoners, each one a work of art worthy of a church’s stained-glass windows.

Prisoner #644 – Captured at the frontier, whatever it is, it’s only eaten six times in ten years, each time it was an unwary guard who strayed too close to the sealed cage covered in a thick burlap sheet. It hums at night, an eerie, unsettling event taking place only just before the onset of riots, uprisings, and acts of revenge on a wide scale inside of the prison. Recently, guards have reported that it has started to sing softly. Each of the Dead prisoners killed in the previous ten years are named, one by one, and it chuckled wetly when younger guards approach it.

Kishi the Kid – A 16-year-old changeling who attempted to steal the Crown Jewels. He’s stuck in solitary after using the persona of a guard to start a riot, and is well known for the many he’s started in the few months he’s been here

Cold Turquoise – The former cult leader of a Dragonborn pirate fleet. Will only talk in Draconian, and will give advice on how to operate a ship at a cost…

Henri Schum – Halfling Mafia-don. Used his resources and cutthroat approach to fund a smuggling operation on rare animals for collectors. Has 2 fingers missing on his left hand and has his ‘buddies’ rough up any new people who mention them.

Zarakos – Super beefy winged Tiefling. Brought in for attempting to rob a local bank and fly off with the loot, not accounting for the wizards that can cast Fly. Wings are always tied for obvious reasons. Not very smart, but very loyal. If you free his wings, he will follow you and your group until the end. Will carry and fly anyone that needs it

Kimnuan Shadestalker – Black kitsune assassin. She and her bard troupe would spread rumors about people so others would order hits on them. Specifically in for burning down a village after getting caught by the local authorities. If she can get access to her hands, she can summon a lute and cast spells to become invisible/incorporeal.

Binks Falkhorn- A scribe for 2 generations of very powerful wizards. Has not shown any criminal intent but is ordered to be imprisoned in solitary indefinitely after the wizard went mad and went on a killing spree, showing horrible power. His scribe is the last shred of evidence of the wizard’s work. It would be too dangerous to let the scribe roam free, but it would be foolish to kill him in case his knowledge became useful

Sparkler- A nine-year-old bronze half dragon who just wants to go home to her older brother. She was framed for a crime that she in no way could have committed. She is kept in a dark cell and is the favorite to be abused by the head guard. No knows her actual name because she rarely talks to anyone even when she is allowed.

Xnyxyh Halfheart – Channeling Chronurgy wizard without his spell book. He looks human and is locked up for various crimes. He will help anyone who can get him his spell book. However, if he gets it, he will finish becoming a lich. He does not care for anyone but himself.

Thornbull – an experimental warforged, who committed too many war crimes.

Thragg Jadewolf – half-orc spy. He looks like an ugly human. He is in prison for high treason. He infiltrated border settlements and opened the gates at night, sabotaged the defenses, etc., so the neighboring orc kingdom could conquer the settlements easily.

The masked man – this human wears a cursed mask, which he cannot take off. His crime: He is the elder brother of the current king.

The Wyrd Sisters – Three halfling sisters each identical except for different colored eyes, the Wyrd Sisters are prohibited from accessing the kitchen and mess halls, kept in solitary confinement from each other, and fed separately. This is due to their innate toxicity, their blood, saliva, and sweat producing an extremely toxic poison which when ingested, causes a terrifying and agonizing death in even small doses. They were arrested after their entire village was found rotting the next morning after drinking from the tainted well which they had poisoned. Rumors persist that their natural lethality came from a tradeoff with a powerful Demon.

Semaj Ironscreamer – An elderly Half-Orc Druid who has spent half his life in this cell. He was jailed after being involved in multiple eco-terrorist attacks on mining towns that had been dumping their industrial waste into the nearby rivers. Seen as a kindly grandfather figure by the other inmates and even some of the guards, Semaj is often the peacekeeper between those he can hear from his cell and dispenses wisdom to those who ask. Given the nature of his magic, Semaj is kept in an underground cell with no window and any visitors he receives will be checked for wooden objects and plant matter.

Azar – A former acolyte of the church who used his talents as a thief to steal back religious artifacts from wealthy aristocrats. Until one day he was set up by the Queen dowager to make it look like he was trying to assassinate her with the same knife she had killed her husband with. Is actually completely innocent of this particular crime, but with the weight of the crown bearing down on him his trial was anything but fair.

Vulmon Longroot – A 900-year-old High Elven Bard who was the very first prisoner ever put into this place. His crime? 800 years ago, he had been caught having an affair with all 11 princesses of the area and is actually the reason every member of the royal family has any access to magic.

Tybo the Mad Monk – An incredibly dangerous and violent martial artist who was known to wear the ears of his enemies that he killed in battle like a necklace. After a failed assassination attempt by one of his party members caused Tybo to go mad and kill his party, the Human Monk returned to his roots raiding ships along the coast before he was eventually captured and placed in prison.

Irving – he was just an ordinary peasant… until adventurers showed up in his life and destroyed it. After that he has dedicated his life to destroying them.

Dean Fisher – human. Scum landlord to good upstanding goblins. forgot to bribe a local official.

Greta Howitzer- A human horizon walker ranger who was once a famed demon hunter. But while hunting members of the cult of Baphomet, she lost her mind in Baphomet’s lair. She has the madness ‘The world is my hunting ground. Others are my prey.’ She now views all humanoids as demons and will go to any length to hunt them down. She was imprisoned after spending her money building a massive maze, kidnapping people, and hunting them down in the maze.

Dominic Halfcastle – Halfling, originally in jail for tax evasion, now known for being transferred due to the murder and consumption of multiple sentients, claims the ability to kill sentients with his mind, has displayed no actual psionic or magical power

Vestlev the Mad – War criminal of the highest order, he has been moved to a normal prison as a temporary holding place until a proper area is found. He looks old and disheveled but is a mastermind when it comes to the magical arts of evocation. From his cell can be heard incoherent babbling, but do not be fooled, he has escaped before.

Minkus the Feebleminded – Everyone knows it’s a mistake that he’s in the prison. He’s a real sweetheart if a bit soft in the head. Sometimes his cell glows at night though. Oh, and don’t let him tell you about his nightmares if he says you were in one…

Sir Jim Haggins – A true gentleman at heart, he wears his ragged suit proudly. He’s perfectly polite in every way. He doesn’t look kindly on the poor however, oh no. He detests the poor. So much so that his hunting lodge was full to the brim with human trophies when the authorities finally tracked down ‘the Slum-spree Killer’

Thiggund – This hairy brute is referred to by the only word he heads ever been known to utter. When the villagers of a small farming community found him by the road, surrounded by the brutalized remains of a merchant and his horses, Thiggund was arrested on the spot.

Unburned Barty – A slight man with an unassuming smile. He survived being burned at the stake without a single scar. He was moved into isolation after his cellmates kept killing themselves

Billy Pumpernickel – A gnome who is well known and loved in the prison, but actually committed a horrible crime. Everyone just goes with it, and other than the one horrible unforgivable thing, he’s just a pretty nice dude. Like ‘Hey, there’s Billy. Yeah, he mutilated a few kids, but only once. Nice guy.’ (Edit: This would just be hilarious when the players try to come to terms on how to treat him)

The Time Master – Real name, age, sex, & race unknown. (S)he exists 5 minutes in the future. The cell was locked, and an empty plate appeared with a note. The note had an explanation and instructions. ‘Please place a full plate inside the cell each time an empty plate is discovered. Failure to do so will create a paradox and subsequently release the prisoner.’

Elwe – An elf who walks through the corridors of the prison as if he was someone free, talks to the guards and other prisoners as they were friends. Says he is in prison due to stealing, is actually hiding from the king, who wants to kill him since he killed his father

Ozob – An old looking human with hair only on sides and a fire potion (Molotov) where his nose would be. Always angry. Whenever someone looks wrong at him, he says: you are so annoying I might sneeze.

Walks-Winding-Paths – A tabaxi shadow monk, she is kept in a fully lighted cell at all times, wearing glowing enchanted clothing. She is only fed by guards under a faerie fire spell, as otherwise they would cast a shadow which she could teleport into to escape. She will attempt to convince a party member to give her a cloak, bowl, or other object to block the light with.

Garth the Radiant – A paladin of the fallen angel Zariel. His guards are ordered to hit him every time they see him meditating or praying, as that would let him regain the spells, she grants him and summon his enchanted mace, Purity, to destroy his cell. If the party can bring him his weapon, or even give him ten minutes of peace, he will consider himself honor-bound to grant them a favor upon request. If their aims align with his, he might even fight alongside them.

Nibbles – Literally just a warlock cat.

Iydis Tyger-Eye – Former Guld Leader, she is high level Fighter and also a Were-Tiger. Killed the heads of other Were families, in an attempt to seize power and take control of the protection of the city, and its criminal underworld.

Rollins – Air School Elemental Wizard. Believes in Anarchy and Equality of all races. In jail for starting a revolution and killing the Queen.

Herman – Normal human who built Mythic Bracers of Shatter that are only attuned to him. Had used the Bracers to gain access and rob several small vaults. Then he was caught by an adventurer after going for heist to rob a merchant banker when he refused to harm others to escape with the goods. He refuses to teach/sell the knowledge of how to make the Bracers as he doesn’t want others to use it to harm someone.

Roscoe Tealeaf – A well-dressed halfling who smells of saffron. He brokers deals between prison factions. It’s no secret that he is trying to escape. He claims he was framed by a noble, or maybe arrested breaking into the noble’s vault. He’ll tell anyone who asks that the noble has a dangerous artifact. Roscoe is a lore bard that specializes in counter spell silence and general magic user shutdowns.

John ‘Musical Manipulator’ Green – Half-elf, in jail for making a whole court dance for hours on end to prove a philosophical point that the upper class will just do as they say to hold up appearances and are so comfortable in their wealth, they can watch it be taken away and redistributed.

Colin Green – human. John’s half-brother who supported him and helped with a second set up hands to pull off music. Tuomas Yurke – elf. the voice and magic behind all of this. Started to talk to John about these thoughts and with a few others began to flesh them out into a more concrete thought and into a sound. Loved by the low class, anticipated and loved by the upper class even though it is all a misunderstanding. The three of them are located at different corners and different levels of the prison so the music can’t come together and convince guards to open up cages. Mail comes from them from all over. 2 members of their group are still at large.

Vaelh’noo – Githyanki sorceress who once commanded a powerful fleet in the astral sea before she was captured in a botched raid. Her secret is that she allowed herself to be captured to escape the wrath of the lich queen, whom she plots to overthrow from the safety of her cell.

Quikiliar – A doppleganger (Rogue). Thrown into prison for impersonating a person of high authority, they’re known for frequently making their way into guard chambers by pretending to be one. They can get access to a lot of things if you ask for it, but almost always ask for some odd favor or trinket, usually personal, like a lock of hair or an image of someone loved.

Locke – Once a guard themselves, this warforged fighter was sent to jail after attacking someone due to a misinterpretation of their actions. Unfortunately, this was also another guard with good standing with the warden, who had them put in. They serve their time willingly but can be interrogated or otherwise convinced to disclose explicit info about the prison and its guard shifts and similar.

Breeze – An air genasi artificer, she was thrown into jail after selling several infused items for high prices and then the infusing a different item. Since then, she’s gotten in good favor with guards and other inmates by enchanting some magic items and plans to use these favors and connections to escape at some point.

Zaurok – A Goliath Barbarian, although he acts calm and meditates. Known for the rare outbursts, during which he flies into a rage after being provoked or possibly from being disturbed while meditating. The several escape attempts that’ve happened are from him simply breaking the jail bars. Since then, he’s been relocated to a cell made out of adamantine.

Slicer – Kenku cleric. Devoted to a god of trickery, they gained their name after a particular… Prank, on part of their god. Around the jail will often prank the various inmates but is also known to make distracting sounds at the guards at night. Likely to be able to convince with shiny objects to prank someone or create a distraction.

Color-of-Blood – An insane Tabaxi woman incarcerated for eviscerating several people. Can often be found singing quietly to herself songs usually about ‘meal preparation’. Is usually docile and doesn’t react to being talked to unless threatened which she may attack while loudly singing ’50 ways to skin a human.’

Reginald Mark – A mild mannered human male incarcerated for a chain of serial killings. He claims he’s possessed by a banshee, but no one believes him. His speech has a feminine undertone and his skin is cold to the touch. Those who threaten him are usually found in the morning choked to death with a horrifying look on their face.

Tee’vah – Tiefling rogue who doesn’t seem too upset to be there. If approached he will happily show off a copy of his wanted poster, listing crimes from arson to murder. Secretly a doppelgänger who is honestly just trying to provide for his family and have some fun. Can break out any time he wants.

The Dread Pirate Azuzula, Roger, and Primten – A Tiefling, an earth genasi, and an air genasi. Azuzula seems useless but the other two are competent sorcerers. Despite this they follow her words to the letter. In for piracy. Azuzula can’t spell and keeps ranting about her ship the Doom Squid. Will challenge people to fights.

Taryon Sandstone – A half-elf paladin who used to be a slave fighting in gladiator pits. After gaining his freedom, he vowed to fight for the freedom of other and became a powerful hero. After the tragic loss of a close friend, he went on an overzealous crusade against slavers, killing them and their family as well as anyone who had in any way helped them (ship captains, harbor employees, food/clothes/rope vendors, blacksmith, etc.)

Tilby Valenois – A gnome mage of sorts who has committed zero crimes besides somehow breaking into a maximum-security prison and… staying there? The security guards have tried to get him to leave numerous times but usually get charmed or subdued out of it magically. Nobody knows why the gnome wishes to be there, but he hasn’t been messing with the order of things much.

Adelai – A rather amicable young woman. Nobody knows for sure what she’s in for, but general consensus is that it involved a basilisk head and the water supply to a small town

Vass – A large orc man that was used as a phylactery for a lich. Vass has been hearing whispers of the lich in his mind and is slowly being possessed. He has started doing horrible things under the influence of the lich. Performing Magic’s that he has no right to know.

Endeer – A being that inflicts his victims with horrible nightmares in each of these nightmares a horrifying creature appears to the dreamer and offers them the opportunity to “Loose yourself from the chains of your labored slumber” if the dreamer accepts, they never sleep again as their mind descends in to horrible madness

Cultists of the Basilisk – These cultists are attempting to create the creature they worship a terrible all-knowing basilisk they know that they will be successful and that the basilisk will destroy anyone who knew about him and didn’t help create him so they only share their beliefs with those they deem helpful or worthy of death

Arnold Long – A half orc/elf, he looks like a giant of a human and seems pleasant to be around in a group of people. While it appears, he is a big stupid sweet teddy bear of a person, his record is full of brutal killings that may or may not have happened. The last killings were not too long ago after a prison gang isolated Arnold in the showers and bribed a guard to not interfere. Long story short, the gang WAS major player in the prison, now all of its muscle IS dead, and the guard went missing. Arnold is to be handled with care and kindness.

The ‘Statue of The Maiden’ – It looks like a statue of a naked elven woman that was bought by a merchant (deceased) from an artist (deceased) who sold it to a noble (deceased) for a gift to his wife (deceased) and children (deceased). All that is known is the statue moves when not observed and will eat and clean itself. It leaves flirtatious messages for the guards it likes and death threats to the guards it hates. The artist swore on their deathbed it was a mistake for them to create it but, this is the only place it has been stored where it does not kill thought it has maimed a few people who fail to respect it. Attempts to remove, destroy, or study it has been ‘unfruitful and unwise’.

Inspector Brundt – A beardless dwarf imprisoned for the crimes of tax evasion, swindling, theft, and gross debt. He knows how to get things and bribes the guards to get luxuries and messages through the prison walls.

Tur the Kobold – He seems stupid and harmless. Everyone assumes he’s just a patsy who took the fall for a bigger criminal. Occasionally, though, he lets something slip that only someone high-level in a criminal organization would know.

Axe Hands – A warforged barbarian who found great success as a military shock trooper, but also was involved in an incident where he dismembered a commanding officer. Sees prison as an ‘extended furlough” and is convinced he’ll be let out when the next war starts.

Clara – A human paladin. Recruited into the military, she was driven mad by the trauma of war and turned oathbreaker. Jailed for the same incident as Axe Hands, having used her healing abilities to keep their victim from bleeding out after being dismembered. Lives to see people suffer but remembers enough of her pre-oathbreaker life to maintain a kind, innocent facade when it suits her.

Harald Silverfinger – An elf wizard who sees humans the same way a scientist sees a bucket full of white rats; testing fodder. They’re close enough to elves to be useful for experimentation, but short-lived enough that killing them really isn’t a big deal. It’s rumored that the local guild is secretly helping him continue his work, using his fellow prisoners as test fodder.

Verdos – A dwarven female cleric. Believes she was morally just in murdering the children of a local village. Full of righteous anger. Judges everybody according to her own warped and insane moral code. Can often barely be understood. In maximum security for obvious reasons. Can offer a range of cleric services at prison prices.

Tabitha Binks – A Tabaxi Rogue. An orphan growing up on the coast, she quickly fell in with the Revelry pirates. Tabitha learned to use her claws as lockpicks and may teach other Tabaxi how to as well. She was caught at sea after ambushing a wealthy fur trader.

James the Changeling – A male changeling known for impersonating the guides and has so far escaped every prison he’s been in. He’s a new inmate already planning his escape.

??? – the cell appears empty, save for a stool. Could be they’re just using it for storage. But, then why does that stool make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up?

Ood – A very old, frail and nearly paralyzed Illithid who sits still in solitary confinement, his blind eyes wide open, and only blinks or changes his position once or twice per year. Said to have messed something up when attempting to become an Alhoon. Nobody knows why he’s there, but he occasionally sends nearly unintelligible telepathic riddles to the other prisoners. Rumor has it he has invaded the minds of everyone in the prison and lives vicariously through their dreams at night.

Caleb was starting to worry that Max was right. What if his text did alert the bad guys? What if they were doing horrible things to him now because of him? Caleb wouldn’t be able to forgive himself! He already felt awful enough... now that he was back at his apartment alone, he felt even worse... Anders didn’t get back to him yet either... That wasn’t good-

*ping!* 

Caleb jumped. That was his text notification! That could be Anders responding!! ...Or the bad guys had his number now and could track him and successfully kidnap him now... shit.

His hands shaking, Caleb tried to calm himself before checking his phone. 

[txt:] I’m fine, Michaelson. Keep banana bread fresh for me, it’s my favorite.

Well, the first part made him sigh in relief... But... didn’t Anders say he liked cinnamon? He never said anything about banana bread... 

“Banana bread... banana bread??” It couldn’t be typo, the two words had completely different swipe patterns. Did he tell him cinnamon first but really meant bananas? Banana bread doesn’t even use cinnamon in the recipe... was that how Anders liked it?? 

“Banana...” Caleb suddenly gasped. “Banana bread?!” It was a long time ago that he and Max played it, but there was a game where one person played an assassin and the other played a spy. One of the spy’s tasks was to say “banana bread” to the double agent as a code word. Could this be one of those times?? Was Anders trying to tell him something?? He needed to tell Summers, or Vaughn, or somebody! It could be important!!

But Anders was probably waiting for a reply right? What should he say?? He can’t sound suspicious, like he knows, right? Or... or should he?? Aaaa his heart was beating so fast he wasn’t cut out for this spy/secret agent/government operatives stuff-!!!

Screw it!!! He’ll play dumb!!!

...Was that too dumb? Or was he too obvious?? Was the heart too much???? Aaaaaaa he needed to tell one of the agents now! He threw on a coat and sprinted out of his apartment, not even thinking about any danger. It was Anders that was in danger now! He needed help!! 

Caleb burst through the doors to the building, scaring the poor receptionist. “I need to talk to one of the men upstairs, now! I have information!!” 

Before she could respond, Caleb was already at the elevator. He tapped his foot. It was taking too long to get there! Screw it he’ll take the stairs!! 

Just as Caleb threw open the door for the staircase, he heard the ding of the elevator. Too late, he was bounding up two steps at a time. Damn, he hasn’t gotten this kind of workout in a long time, but the adrenaline made it easy on him. 

Once at the third story, Caleb burst through the doors, his chest heaving. The three men all looked up at him. 

“Caleb! Are you okay?” Summers, having seen him that morning, was already making his way over to help if needed. Caleb waved him off.

“Ba... banana bread!” he panted. “Anders texted... He said banana bread-!...” 

Caleb almost expected them to look at him like he’d gone crazy, but all three started to move at once. Vaughn was making phone calls. Lawson was radioing someone. Summers ran back and grabbed... was that a gun? Two guns??

“Lawson, you got the cars ready?” Summers asked. Lawson nodded. Summers tossed the other gun to him. “Caleb, thanks for telling us. We’ll take it from here.” 

“W-wait, what about-” Caleb was cut off by Vaughn, who announced that he got the location. That quick? “You mean Anders is in trouble??” He knew it!!!

“We’re calling in more people than just the three of us, so you got nothing to worry about. We’ll bring Anders back. He might have a few bruises. But nothing that can’t be fixed. Vaughn, Lawson, we ready to go?”

“Ready.”

“Roger that.”

“Right. Pink Carnation, I promise we’ll get Onyx Larkspur back safely. Let’s go boys.”

Q1: Teacher Ah Jie, having interacted with Gavin for such a long time, do you have any new insights regarding him?

Ah Jie: Mm, I do, a little. The most obvious thing would be how he has recently returned to his original self. Actually, things related to his mother, and the attitude his father adopts when interacting with him, have to a large extent changed his personality and the way he handles things. I still hope that while he remains steadfast to his convictions, he can live each day happily and optimistically. Love can make one more cheerful and carefree, and it’s pretty good.

Q2: Are there any characteristics of Gavin you appreciate a lot?

Ah Jie: I find one thing good about Gavin - the way he strongly perseveres in what he has decided upon. No matter whether it’s in terms of righteousness, his convictions, or feelings - once he decides on it, he’ll move forward without hesitation.

Q3: What do you think of Gavin’s Evol?

Ah Jie: I initially wanted to possess it, but... it’s not very useful considering Beijing’s weather. If his Evol was sufficiently powerful, could it blow away the smog? I’ll find a chance to ask him some other day.

Ah Jie: Even though he isn’t the type who knows how to hold a conversation with girls, he has changed for the better recently, and it’s a very large improvement. However, there’s no need to specially change. I think girls like how he is right now.

Q1: The storyline of the game has several science fiction elements. What made you consider including science fiction elements in a game targeted at females?

Actually, we felt that romance is often underestimated. Love isn’t simply effete language without substance, or honeyed words. Love can give us courage, and bring us to a whole new world, opening new journeys, finding your unlimited self. A romance story is naturally appropriate to be melded with any other motifs. In love, we can explore various issues: personal growth, contradictions in society, the truth of civilisation, the rise and fall of history...  The story we wish to convey to the players is one of “the cruel competition between love and power”. This isn’t just a complex story with science fiction elements. Actually, it’s also very related to the lives of every person.

Q2: As an Evol agent, does Gavin work 365 without rest?

No, but he has to be prepared to accept sudden missions.

His slightly clumsy way of expressing his care and consideration. For instance, asking “Were you happy to ride it once more” after taking the Ferris wheel.

Q8: In the 2018 Qixi Festival event, Gavin’s ancient garb left a deep impression on people. Why did you design Gavin this way?

A swordsman who comes and goes without a trace. A swordsman who can rush to the skies even after falling off a cliff.

Q10: What do you think is Gavin’s most classic line? How did you think of it?

“As long as you’re in the wind, I can sense you.”

It just came out very naturally in the plot - that Gavin would say something like that.

More scenes imbued with the feeling of a youthful romance. For instance, kissing at the rooftop staircase. I hope it can be arranged soon.

Q1: In relation to the various scenes in Loveland City, are there are any real life references?

The answer to this question has already been discovered by some meticulous players. We have indeed made references to a few real sceneries, such as the The Bund.

We want to give players the sense that the romance is happening right next to them, which is why we’ve brought our city’s scenery into the game, so everyone can feel a sense of familiarity and realism.

Q2: Art Sisters, what you think of the “Papergames Art Style” as coined by players? What is the biggest difference between the art style in Mr Love Queen’s Choice and other games by Papergames?

Actually, we don’t really understand the meaning of “Papergames Art Style”, and we don’t know what it means specifically. It probably refers to how the tone and atmosphere are more clear and romantic? Even our own department finds that the art styles from different games are very different. In making a comparison, Mr Love Queen’s Choice is much “harder” (laughs). After all, our main characters are four adult men. Right now, the style is basically “hard but not coarse” - there are parts which require meticulousness and delicateness, yet can’t be too soft.

Q3: Have you ever considered changing Gavin’s hairstyle, for instance giving him a crew cut?

Based on his personality, he might have thought about it. After all, a crew cut is very convenient. But come to think of it, does everyone really want to see him with a crew cut?

Q4: Where does Gavin typically buy his clothes? Online or in the shopping mall?

When he thinks it’s about time to buy clothes, he’ll find time to go to the mall. Occasionally, he buys them online.

Q5: How many different scars does Gavin have on his body?

There are some especially obvious scars on his collarbone and back. There are many other non-obvious ones in other places.

Q6: Why is there such a big difference between Gavin’s initial design and the final design? Initially, why did you give him that somewhat “smart” hairstyle?

Actually, we tried out many different types of hairstyles in the beginning. Then, we selected the one which was most suitable, and then refined it. The “smart” hairstyle was just one of many.

Q7: How many different outfits does Gavin have currently?

It’s difficult to say. After all, he does keep buying new clothes. A guy’s closet is the same as a woman’s - forever missing one shirt, a pair of pants, a pair of shoes, a watch...

Q8: Flowers appear frequently in the game. Could I ask the Art Team which flower best suits Gavin?

What’s special lies in “the warmth only you know about”.

Although the monochrome colours appear cold and cool, the details reveal the dribs and drabs of your lives: Outside the windows, you can see ginkgo trees which a harbour special meaning to the two of you. Q1: Why did you produce a game like “Love and Producer”?

Producers: Since 2015, our company has already started producing this game. As a mobile game with romance at its core, it’s something not many companies have tried before. The company had a lot of discussions on the possibility of it. In the end, we decided to do it, and the reason for making constant iterations, updates, and persevering after three years is especially simple. No matter what age you are, no matter whether you’ve dated before, no matter whether you're married and have your own family, we believe that in every woman’s heart, there remains an anticipation for romance and heart-stirring experiences. Which is why we believe “Love and Producer” has a reason for its existence. This belief has always guided our production and operation process, and we hope we can continuously bring even more beautiful romance experiences to everyone in the future.

Which of your characters did you create first? Is that character significantly different now compared to when you first created them?

okay i wrote this at like 3am last night when i couldn't sleep and it makes absolutely no sense but i figured if there was anyone on this earth that would appreciate it, it might be you lol

It's kind of funny you should ask this because the last few days I've been reading the stuff I was writing when I first picked it back up this time last year and like. shit's changed a lot lol

Of like. the stuff I'm writing now uh TECHNICALLY Yixing came first because when I was first toying with the idea of running a dnd campaign of my own, I started coming up with some npcs just to like. get some inspiration I guess? (I'm pretty sure I've talked about this before...) So I didn't really have any ideas about a setting or a plot or anything but I had two very specific characters, and one of them was like. a classic drifter/outlaw type character. And his two defining features were that he had really long black hair and was covered head to toe in tattoos. And uh. Only one of those stuck lol (though in my dnd campaign he still does have the tats! And they are plot relevant lol) OH also it stands to say that in my campaign Yixing is a MONK WITH A GUN because he was originally a gunslinger but I didn't really like any of the way the gunslinger homebrew options worked, and a lot of them were basically monk adjacent so I turned him into a monk and made his fucking monastic weapon a GUN.

Also the other npc I made was a really bonkers woman that lives in the woods and thinks the world is about to end at any moment and is extremely magically adept and eats a whole lot of shrooms lmao. idk if she'll actually show up in the campaign but she has a character sheet ready just in case

anyway. Yes Yixing is WAY different. He still has the yeehaw flair but he was originally intended to be shady and self-serving and standoffish and the kind of person who will play all sides but still find a way to come out on top. (he is still like that in my campaign..... he's like a quadruple agent lmao SPOILER for my dnd campaign that nobody cares about: he CLAIMS to be working for Anwei but he's actually working for Ciaran who knows he's also working for Anwei but he's actually double-crossing them both AND someone else that he's working for because he has his own side hustle and honestly he may or may not end up being the actual Big Bad of the campaign. I don't know yet. I hope my sister isn't reading this lol) anyway again, in the context of my novel he's now only a little bit self-serving and he will probably complain if he's super inconvenienced by helping out other people but he's still going to do it. He's a GOOD PERSON and even though I still have an extremely detailed outline of the idea I had where the plot is basically the same but he's a real shithead instead, I can't bring myself to really entertain the idea because I like him being nice. :( the whole point is that he's been through hell and back and has had a really shitty life but still finds a way to be kind and to see the good in people in spite of it all!!!! I get like. really passionate about this. Like truly agonizing about it to no one but myself. I'm the one writing the damn thing I can do whatever I want so why do I care so much about an alternate reality where Yixing is a real bastard??? I do not know.

ANYWAY AGAIN. (now here is where we really lose the thread of the original question lol) This all goes back to dnd lol because as someone that is a hard atheist, it's like. tough for me to get into the whole uhhh god thing in fantasy settings (but in this case I'm talking dnd). Like they EXIST FOR REAL in the context of the game so when your cleric or paladin prays, someone is really listening. And I was like... hm. What if I want to write a campaign where they just aren't there? (and some of my friends said I couldn't because that's breaking the rules which is stupid.. I do what I want!!!) Or that they had otherwise abandoned humanity? So then because I played final fantasy x too much in my formative years, I had the idea of “what if the gods got really fucking mad about people forsaking religion and punished them?” which turned into “what if the gods just DIED suddenly and the world fell apart in the wake?” which turned into “what if the gods realized they sucked at their jobs and that humanity was unintentionally destroying itself so they made a pact to start over but when they tried to do just that, they accidentally killed themselves?” and that is........... mostly the so-called lore now (but there is definitely more but I can't say at this time because spoilers lol) uh. I forgot where I was going with this. OH. How the characters changed. WELL. Anwei has probably changed the least lol. She is still kind of mean and weird and thinks of herself and the others like her as Far Superior to everyone else, but she's no longer downright evil. At one point she was intended to be the villain!!! but I changed my mind because I love fellow mean lesbians so much. Also it was kind of uhh. low stakes with her as a villain/antagonist. She's a little shady and definitely still very manipulative and she gets mean when jealous but not like in her first iterations.... she does still sort of try to get yixing killed though lmao

Oh also Ciaran was the last of the three that I came up with lol which is funny considering he's like. such a big deal. The only reason he exists at all is because I wanted to come up with a real Corruption Arc kind of Guy because I am a big fan of those. Also I wanted the Big Bad in my campaign to be related somehow to the Big Good. And like. what better way to do that than siblings! And then I needed a way to make my Very Cool New npc connected to both of them somehow to make the whole uhhh revolver ocelot style mind games work so I sat down and was like. well. time to tell a tragic love story lol. soooooooooo uh Thank you dnd for inspiring me to write a trilogy of novels because I wanted to do a SINGLE basic worldbuilding exercise for my dnd campaign (that even now has only had uh. four sessions ever) while I was sad and lonely last summer.

I totally went off the rails with this question and I am sorry for that :( also I could write a thousand essays about how much I love Yixing and also how many versions of him there are in my mind lol he's like that one oc that everyone has that they find a way to put in everything always. he is my alternate universe oc. very versatile
