City “Created”!

Welp, we made a city using my city generator. I was expecting to draw a bit more than I did (I didn’t draw at all) but thankfully @avidistic​ was inspired enough to sketch a doodle!

City Summary: Phamlidanh

Phamlidanh is a genasi city ruled by a council of elected elemental genies that came together after warring with one another over this place that was once a dungeon beneath the water, now in a dried-out reef in the desert. The city is a megastructure of mudbrick built out of a dungeon. The city values art and economy and is well known for their precious stones, stonework, and art that is traded from there.

Geography: Dungeon/Reef, desert region

Layout: Circular shape, grid of districts, expands downward

Population: Small Town (2000 people)

Species: Genasi (49%), half-elves (2%), dragonborn (20%), tieflings (19%) , dwarves (10%)

History: Very Young: 30 yrs. We decided that genies were warring over this dungeon before they finally were forced to make tentative peace and settled down to establish the city, which became elemental-themed.

Religion: totally tolerant of other religions but worships one elemental or dungeon-based deity.

Values: enlightenment, cooperation, law, evil, recreation, confidence

Government: Democratic Noocracy (rule by philosophers). The government is perceived as highly transparent. People are upset that the government is too weak to control its people.

The Ophidian Cartel: Merchant faction, influences multiple cities. Goal: collaborate creatively

Districts:

Genasi Hold: Fortified district. Landmark: bridge (probably near city entrance)

Coral Ruins: Entertainment district. Landmark: statue of city founder (who is also a genie)

Vault of the Forum: Food market district. Landmark: prominent government building (open forum)

Mage’s Way: Educational campus. Landmark: public art (Orrery of the planes)

Lower Spires: Lower class residences. Landmark: monument to historical event (evil overlord)
