Dya ever wonder why Ophelia is a candle? Too fuckin bad, I’m about to tell you: it’s cause I think Kyoko is partially inspired by the little match girl.
Now I hear you dear reader, “what the fuck is the little match girl” and firstly I must say you are privileged to not have had your heart gutted from you watching the short film, however I am happy to summarize.
An impoverished little girl is huddled in an alley in the dead of winter with nothing but a box of matches she has failed to sell. She doesn’t go home, though wether she is orphaned or her father will beat her for failing to sell her matches varies based off the iteration. Never the less, cold and starving, she lights one of her matches and sees a beautiful feast and is warmed by the flame. Though swiftly the wind blows it out. So this continues, as one by one, she lights a match, sees a comforting vision, and the match is snuffed away. She then dies in the alley way.
Does that not sound like the story of Kyoko Sakura? An impoverished girl goes out to help her father, though what she does fails at pleasing him and thus can’t return to him lest she be harmed. So instead she indulges in fantasy after fantasy: living as a hero, living for her and her alone, and saving Sayaka Miki. One by one the flames are snuffed until she is left with nothing but the hope of a pleasant dream as she dies.
Also in terms of her powers, it’s notable that she had the abilities to create illusions, much like what the girl saw in the flames.
Doing a little more examination of Ophelia’s design, it’s noteworthy that she rides on a horse, as horse meat in Japanese is “Sakura.” Her riding on it could imply that she sees either her past life or her family as just a vessel that got her where she is, or perhaps that she thought she was destined to fail; just a lamb to the slaughter.
God for being my least favorite of the holy quintet, Kyoko is so fucking cool. Maybe meguca is just good actually and none of its characters are ba- oh right Kyubey, fuck Kyubey.

The apple scene between Kyoko and Sayaka feels both like "a proper introduction between enemies who no longer wish to fight" and "a final invitation to connect with someone and pull yourself back from the edge".
Sayaka tossing aside Kyoko's gifted apple feels like her making a conscious choice to fully go crazy and a denial of Kyoko's attempt to reach out to her.
Additionally, Kyoko giving away to Sayaka something that holds significance for her (food, which she considers incredibly precious) without any expectation of something in return aside from "connection" is an interesting moment for a character previously depicted as "selfish" and constantly against Sayaka.
Kyoko sharing her story TO Sayaka is a moment of vulnerability, later matched by her sharing her story WITH Sayaka by sacrificing herself when she likely could've defeated Oktavia without dying in a effort to ensure Sayaka wouldn't be alone anymore.

does anyone know the difference between a nerd and a geek? theyre both autistic but theyre two different masks. one believes its real and loses it trying to invent it and the other believes its fantasy and finds it with their nerd friends telling jokes.

The PMMM franchise needs a revival as much as Charlotte needs her cheese!!!
I'm more than willing to help anyone who is interested. The fandom might be small, but the potential is soooo big. Anyone, including historical muses from the past, can make a contract. The franchise caters to females, but the fandom welcomes anyone as long as they have a wish in their heart.
Kyubey has been known to make contracts with important historical figures from various times, such as Joan of Arc or Cleopatra. Kyubey and his kind have also been known to make contracts with other candidates from other planets. Don't like Kyubey? That's fine.
Homura might have her personal agenda for doing all of this, but she is more than ready to help your muse with their wish. Walpurgisnacht Rising suggests that Homura stole Kyubey's job as a messenger of magic. With so much power at her fingertips, time and space is not a major problem for Homura. Frankly, I am more than happy to accept this new role.

Holy Sextet doppel redos part 2. You can tell I struggled more here aha…
I do really like Mami having a bonnet in her doppel but I struggled to incorporate it while having Candeloro on show. I wouldnt know how to utilise Candeloro another way… the first gives Mami the yellow bonnet instead with Candeloro’s neck bow and apron. My intention here would be that Candeloro is the necklace below the ribbon ala how she was shown in the madogatari concept art. The second design moreso improved on the original. We actually get Candeloro above her bonnet but Mami still has the cute outfit touches. Not 100% happy with these…
I wanted Oktavia to be fully on show in her doppel cause um, shes beautiful, duh! Sayaka is still on her platform but its now a swing held up by Oktavia’s neck ribbon. The seat is based on Oktavia’s usual seat. The second was trying to improve on the base doppel. Instead of giving Oktavia the dumb new face, i opted instead to have her neck there but the head is cut off. In return, Sayaka is wearing her head/helmet. The platform is improved a little by having her flags either side instead of just weirdly hanging out behind. Oktavia’s arms are limp but her ribbons instead hold her swords.
I do like Ophelia already but I tried to utilise her horse more. I opted for Kyoko to ride on her properly while making the horse resemble Momo. I think it came out super cute. Kyoko’s head is now on fire instead of the weak-ass hair thing she had before but Ophelia’s main body is completely the same as I thought she worked well already.
