Could you do a seperate piers and raihan x reader but enemies to lovers type of headcanons or just being enemies with them in general? Nothing too explicit?

Sure thing. Sorry for the long wait. I wrote Raihan where the reader uses a Pokémon type that’s weak against his teams types. For Piers I wrote where the reader uses a Pokémon type that’s strong against his teams types.

Enemies to Lovers

Raihan

People could see that you and Raihan were enemies because he would constantly beat your team in every fight

Your friends and family suggested switching the type of Pokémon you use, but you wanted to prove that Fire Pokémon were better than Dragon Pokémon

Your partner Pokémon is Cinderace. Your team includes Scovillain, Blaziken, Pyroar, Arcanine, and Ninetales

You love your team and you don’t want to give up on them and you know that they are strong

You interned for Kabu to learn more from the best of the best and you ended up working for him after your internship ended

Kabu said that you had a lot of potential

Kabu and Raihan were talking in the Motostoke gym and you tried to not be seen by either of them

Kabu saw you and called you over and you obliged because he is your boss

He said that he was telling Raihan that he planned on passing the Fire gym to you when he officially retires

Raihan said that he is shocked with Kabu’s decision because your team can be easily defeated

Kabu quickly reminded Raihan that this gym is one of the first three gyms that challengers face and that the gyms were supposed easier compared to his gym

Before Kabu left you and Raihan he said that you were the best Fire Pokémon trainer he has ever interned and worked with and that Raihan should at least show you some respect

It was three years after that conversation that Kabu retired and you took over the gym

Everyone else was welcoming and excited that you were finally the Motostoke gym leader and they had two cakes for you and Kabu since you both combined the two parties together

One cake said “Welcome to Gym Leader Family, Y/N” the other said “Have a Fantastic Retirement, Kabu”

Raihan gave Kabu his retirement gift and everyone held their breath when he approached you

He said “Congratulations on finally achieving your dream. I hope that you can finally prove that Fire Pokémon are stronger and better than Dragon Pokémon.” and he gave you his gift

Raihans gift was a plushie of Reshiram the legendary Pokémon that has the typing of Dragon and Fire

But there was a second plushie in the bag and it was a plushie of Turtonator which has the typing of Fire and Dragon

Before the party ended Raihan said “I gave you those two plushies because they prove that a Pokémon can be a stronger Fire type with a Dragon sub type or a stronger Dragon type with a Fire sub type.”

After he said that he kissed your cheek and left

Kabu and Melony saw kiss and they will not let you live that down

Piers

You knew you and Piers were destined to be enemies ever since you two were kids

You loved Flying Pokémon and your team just happened to have typings that are strong against his team

You hated it because you wanted to be friends with Piers, but he has made it clear that he hates you

Your partner Pokémon is Butterfree. The rest of your team includes Togekiss, Gliscor, Hawlucha, Flamigo, and Beautifly.

Your gym ended up replacing Opals gym, but you kept the same concept of how challengers battle at your gym as Opals gym. You wanted to keep it the same so that Opal can still have her legacy. So the gym now has pink and pastel blue to incorporate Flying and Fairy Pokémon.

Piers refused to visit your gym because he says the colors give him migraines

When Victor, Gloria, Bede, and Marnie were doing their gym challenges and Marnie happened to beat your gym in one go by luck. Victor, Gloria, and Bede completed your gym in two tries.

When word of Marnie completing your gym in one try got back to Piers he stormed into your office asking if you went easy on her

You told him that you didn’t go easy on Marnie and that she was a strong opponent and that he should believe in her more

After you said that he smashed his lips against yours and after he pulls away he tells you that you shouldn’t tell him how to feel

Let’s just say that after that interaction you and Piers relationship started to become more lovely

The smatter on the window only grew stronger by the minute. The clock read 1:15 am but you didn’t care. You just stood there leaning on the railing of the balcony. Looking out over Spikemuth’s now deserted streets. No one wanted to be caught outside in this weather.

The front door creaked open, the light from the hallway only slightly slipping through from behind the silhouette of Piers. He quietly tried to make his way through the apartment as to not wake you up. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw you outside. Grabbing a blanket off of the couch he continued out towards you.

“Trouble sleeping?” He asked closing the balcony door behind him to not let the cold seep in. Proceeding to wrap the blanket around your back before leaning beside you.

With a tired and horse voice, you said “Woke up and you weren’t there,” shifting your balance you leaned into Piers’ shoulder. “So I decided to wait until you’d come back. Where were you?”

“Marnie called, ” Piers sighed “there was some trouble down at the gym, some drunk refused to leave and were just being overall violent. Her pokémon were exhausted from all the battling today...” He slightly chuckled, “Toxtricety and I had to show him the way out.”

You joined in on the laughter, "What exactly did you do?"

"Nothing!" Piers smiled and wrapped his arms around you.

You tilted your head to look him in the eyes, imitating his smile you said "For some reason, I don't believe you."

"And why in the world wouldn't you believe me?" He asked with another laugh.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I believe you when you tell me that you disposed of someone peacefully after they were being a nuisance to your sister." You said, "I mean, it's not like you care for her deeply. It's not like you got the entirety of team yell to back her during the gym challenge."

"Okay, okay…" Piers said, proceeding to rest his head on your shoulder, "...I might have gotten Toxtriciy to use Overdrive on him."

"PIERS!" You exclaimed freeing yourself from his grip. Holding on to the blanket swept around your shoulders you looked Piers in the eyes once more. "You can't just go around shocking people like that, it's dangerous. You could get arrested!"

"That's just some small details, that's not important now." He said brushing off the actual weight of the situation. As he reached out to touch your cheek you felt all of your worries just melt away. He smirked, “You look so cute when you worry about me.”

Marnie liked you a lot. Ever since you two had a fierce showdown with each other, she was astonished by your battling skills, so much so that she actually introduced you to her older brother when she caught him on the street in Spikemuth. 'A great trainer', she told him, which made you raise your shoulders in slight embarrassment.

Piers, on the other hand, seemed quite indifferent towards you. The first time you appeared in front of him, even after a partially energetic shower of Marnie's compliments, he simply cocked an eyebrow and smiled for himself, shaking his head accompanied by a click of the tongue.

You couldn't exactly figure out what the small smirk was for nor whether it indicated something good or bad. Most of the time in media, Piers looked tired overall and not very thrilled to hold all those tiring and monotonous conversations over and over. That was Raihan and Leon's job. If Piers himself is concerned, simply give him a stage, a microphone and an excited, loud audience, and he'll leave a lasting, truly unforgettable impression.

"Alright, I get it, she's eager for you to battle me. Bring it on, then!", he exclaimed, taking a more confident stance.

You weren't afraid of losing, it was just his aura of fame that held you back a considerable amount, enough to barely say anything in fear that you'd stutter.

Observing him a bit from afar in the midst of a heated battle, you let yourself get distracted enough by his sharp, determined gaze and the way he furrows his eyebrows, that you lost quicker than you otherwise would. He noticed, but didn't point it out verbally, just tilted his head to the side slightly, giving you a look you couldn't exactly decipher.

Whether it was disappointment, curiosity or something else, you couldn't tell, and it had been bothering you for a couple of days, fearing that you ended up being a foolish challenger.

To your surprise, your phone rang while you were sitting at a half empty café that evening, enjoying some treats and drinks with your partner Pokémon.

Marnie's name was shown on screen, and your pleasant mood was instantly enhanced.

"Hey, Marnie! What's up?", you smiled, adoring the fact you were somebody that a young trainer looked up to.

"Hey. It's Piers, actually", his contrasting deeper voice made you flinch for a moment, earning you a concerned look from one of your Pokémon, "Marnie can't stop talkin' about you, so I figured I might as well ask whether you're free", he sighed.

"Oh… That's, um, nice of you. Are you sure, though?"

"And why you askin'? Think I'm above you or somethin'? Chill out."

Marnie could be heard muttering something quietly in the background, amused by her brother's mild annoyance.

"Ah", you fumbled for words, fairly distracted by his low, husky tone, "Marnie isn't coming?"

Piers paused for a second, before catching on your bashfulness, earning you a chuckle:

"Right, I wasn't clear enough. I'm not callin' because of her, it's, would you believe, me who wants to get to know you."

Your face bloomed three shades of red. Being asked out by a musician you liked after meeting him once seemed unrealistic, like a joke even, and it made you wonder whether he was sincere or just rolling along with one of Marnie's antics.

However, she didn't seem like the type to pull those off at such random times, or at all, for that matter.

"Yeah, I was… curious about you too, now that we're saying this freely. I'm glad you've called", you smiled with an audible, giggly exhale, your hand shaking, spilling a little bit of coffee on the table, "Currently I'm at a cozy place in Hammerlocke, but if you'd rather-"

"Yeah, I know which one, be right there", he cut you off, then hung up quickly. That took you so off guard that you were left with your phone pressed to your tingling ear for at least another half a minute, until Impidimp tugged at your sleeve, promptly bringing you back to the present moment, the crinkling of glasses and hushed chatter.

Soon enough, he did show up, putting the key to his motorbike away in his jacket pocket. He flicked his head at you, as well as lazily putting his hand up in a greeting while strolling towards your table.

He sighed and sat down across from you, at first glance seemingly bothered by even being there. Despite that initial front, he actually appeared more or less relaxed, gaze darting left and right in admiration of the pleasant and vibrant surroundings.

"Cute fella", he initiated conversation, indulging Impidimp with a pet on the head which it enjoyed immensely.

"Thank you. I've caught him relatively recently, I think a bit over a month ago. He's been a great help, and an even better friend", you smiled, offering it a tea biscuit, then looked back at Piers who had just ordered a drink, "I'm surprised you wanted to meet up so fast."

"Busy for the rest of the week", he explained, propping his face up with his hand, "Couldn't miss the chance to ask why you haven't gone all out against me today. Missed opportunity to show off your skills to their full extent."

That was the question you feared would come up sooner or later, but not that early!

"I… was distracted", you admitted, steering away from elaborating by being upfront but vague.

"Tell me somethin' I don't know", luckily, he took the hint, "Next time watch out for that. Wouldn't want to be let down twice", he flicked his cup out of boredom, continuing to fidget with packets of sugar afterwards.

Piers blew some hair out of his face, not waiting nor expecting for the discussion to carry on from there. He sounded like he would bombard you with a myriad of questions after he'd arrive, so did he change his mind somewhere along the way?

You decided to shoot your shot:

"What's it like… being on the famous side? Does the attention bother you at all?"

"Only when journalists are too persistent. Other people are nicer about it than it may appear", he took a slow sip, appreciating the taste, hence losing the last bit of hostility on his face, some of which you might've even imagined.

"That's good! I'm actually glad you have space to breathe…"

"And you?"

"Hm?"

"Where did you come from?", he didn't put the edge of his cup away from his lips, gently blowing to cool down the tea, a little act you found absolutely sugary sweet adorable.

You put the back of your hand over your mouth diffidently, trying to politely lock gazes with him, but every time you'd try to, your eyes would sheepishly drop down to your lap.

"Nowhere special, really. An overly confident and ambitious trainer I'd say. I have been trying to think of ways to turn some of my hobbies into jobs, but I'm yet to make up a plan that holds up, so for now, I'm just doing whatever I come across", you explained, hoping he wasn't let down by your insignificant background.

"Tryin' your best is always good no matter the situation. I've been tellin' that to my little sis as well. Hope you'll stay a good role model for her. Well, really, you better", he snickered.

You smiled.

The following few minutes were mostly spent in somewhat awkward silence. Here and there you'd exchange a couple of words just so that it wouldn't be painfully obvious you were struggling.

Realization soon hit on a conscious level - you were crushing really hard.

"Wanna go for a ride?", Piers asked abruptly, derailing your train of thought.

His confidence charmed you enough for you to immediately blurt out an agreement.

You reached out for your wallet, but his raised hand stopped you.

"Don't worry about it", he added, "Save that for next time."

Next time? There will be a next time? Your flushed expression gave your bewilderment away, visible even under dim lighting.

Of course, Piers noted it, but this time flashed you a tired smirk as feedback.

"Anywhere you'd want to go?", your bubbly tone tickled his ears.

"Nah, aimless drivin' is more my thing."

He offered you his hand. That was one among many other gestures you weren't properly prepared for. If that man had a set goal in mind, that must've been making you explode. He was succeeding at a rapid pace, and there was nothing you could do about it other than accept the bliss you weren't able to hide anymore.

"Relax, all's g-", your fingers intertwined with his. If you're holding hands, might as well go all the way. "…Huh. Bold. I like that."

"Will you lead the way?"

"Now I have no other choice", he joked in a surprisingly flat tone, making you laugh in response. "Let's go, then. There's actually a place I'd like to show you. Marnie likes when I take her stargazing there. You'll have something interesting to tell her about tomorrow, assuming she'll be asleep when we come home tonight."

"We??", you exclaimed, a bit louder than you wanted to.

He motioned at your linked hands with his head:

"Did I assume wrong?"

"No. Not at all."

"Good."

Raihan

You haven't been back to Galar since you were 16. Your family moved to Unova after your 16th birthday. You had to say goodbye to everything and everyone you knew.

You were especially upset to be leaving your trainer buddy Raihan. You knew that it wouldn't be the same now as it was back then. You met up with Raihan at a coffee shop near his home and decided to catch up.

"How was Unova? Did you make a new trainer buddy while you were there?"

You sighed and looked at him.

"You know that I could never replace you, Rai. You were and will always be my only trainer buddy."

"I know. It's just that it felt empty without you here. Leon is fun to battle, but it's just not the same."

You put your hands on his hands which makes him look at you.

"Rai, your feelings are valid. Now how about I tell you about the twin subway masters I got to battle."

~11 months later~

You were in the stands watching Raihan and Leon battle.

Of course you were wearing your Raihan merch and cheering him on. You noticed how he was off his game during the battle. After it ended you ran to the locker room. You knocked and the door opened, so you walked in. You saw Raihan with his head in his hands and you sat down next to him.

"If you don't want to talk about it that's okay."

That's when Raihan kissed your cheek.

"I'm in love you, Y/N. If you don't feel the same way then I completely understand. I understand because we haven't seen each other since we were sixteen."

You kissed his cheek and he looked at you with a surprised expression.

"I've never stopped loving you, Rai."

You and Piers were once rival trainers. Throughout the years many thought you and Piers hated each other. But it was all a fun game to you two. After Piers became a gym leader you two slowly drifted away.

You were walking around a clothing store in Spikemuth and spotted Marnie. She saw you and the two of you started talking. That was until Piers showed up to check on Marnie.

“Hey Piers. How is the life of a Gym Leader treating you?”

You asked him trying to make conversation

“It’s been alright. I’m thinking about retiring and passing the gym onto Marnie.”

You nod and notice that Marnie managed to slip away from the conversation.

“How have you been, Y/N?”

“I’ve been okay. Life has been boring without you honestly.”

Piers blushed and tried to hide it.

“I mean I guess that’s because I’ve been busy with the gym and stuff.”

“Would you like to… um get dinner with me sometime? Unless you’re busy and stuff.”

“I’d like that, Y/N”

~4 months later~

You and Piers were just hanging out as his house catching up.

“I bet you have people trying to date you all the time, Piers.”

“Yeah. It’s dumb because I don’t like any of them. I’ve only liked one person romantically.”

You look at him surprised.

“Really? Who? What’s their name? Are they from Galar?”

“Um… I actually like you romantically, Y/N.”

You blush and hold his hands gently.

“Since when?”

“Since forever I guess.”

“I honestly thought you didn’t feel the same way, Piers.”

You and Piers were about to kiss, but Marnie came in and interrupted.

“If you two are going to kiss please do so in his room, please and thank you.”

She states as she goes to her room. You and Piers laugh at the situation and finally kiss.

You’ve lived in Galar for a few years, and in that time you became close to the dark type gym leader, Piers.

You two spent a lot of time together, you even met his little sister! Whom seemed to like you, often going to you with problems. As some of her issues Piers would’ve turned into a mama Blaziken.

He’s always been so kind to you, little rough around the edges, but he’s such a sweetheart.

So when you found what looked to be the worlds cutest Pokémon in the wild area, you just had to catch it and show him!

The Pokédex says it’s an Applin! And it’s so tiny! He’s going to love it, he’s always liked small cute things.

As much as he’d lead you to believe otherwise.

Hopefully you can catch him before his show!

You are just so excited to show him! You know he’s lived in Galar all his life, but you’re just so filled with energy now, and you want to share it with him!

And you caught him just in time!

“Piers! Piers!”

The lanky man looks to you, half smile on his face.

“Hey, what’s got you all excited?”

He won’t lie, it’s adorable seeing you look so joyful, how your eyes light up, how your smile threatens to split your face.

These last few years of being your friend made him realize that, he loves you, he desperately is.

You pull out the pokeball, releasing the small Applin inside. You gesture to the apple Pokémon in pure joy.

Piers’s eyes widen at the sight of the small creature.

True it’s a little smaller than what they should be, looking up at him.

“I caught it for you! I thought it was the perfect for a little napping buddy for you.”

True most his Pokémon are much too big for his lap anymore, though they try.

You look at your friend, your smile still wide, but you’re growing confused. His face is slowly blooming in color, his cheeks going from pink to red the longer he stares at the Applin and you.

You were confessing to him!? Him! You could do so much better than him, yet you picked him?

“Piers?”

You jump in surprise when he hugs you, his arms keeping a firm grip around you as his face is buried in the crook of your neck.

You wrap your arms around his waist, hugging him back.

“Are you okay?” He must’ve had a rough day.

You can’t imagine how stressed he must be, if this is what made him emotional. You aren’t sure what made him upset but you’re glad your gift is making him happy.

Piers can feel his heart speeding up, he can’t believe you confessed to him.

“Hey…”

“Yeah, Piers?”

“Do you…do you maybe wanna grab some lunch after my set? Or maybe go to a café later.”

Is he asking you out? Your heart lurches in your throat, your face burning at the realization he’s asking you out.

You never thought he’d ask! You were fully prepared to ask him out, but he beat you to it!

Should you offer to fly him around, he's extremely hesitant. He trusts you, but he doesn't trust himself not to make a fool of himself. Wants to play with your feathers so bad. He begs you to let you touch them. He knows how to preen already thanks to Archeops, so he can help you! Please! Also, can he keeps the feathers? Please? For Archeops, of course! You end up trading feathers with him, the beautiful colored ones that Archeops sheds for yours. Emmet likes feeling their bristles and softness

Begging you again to let him fly with you. He wants to fly, please fly him around. Like his brother, he's a screamer, but not as loud and more out of the thrill of the rush than anything else. The stares you get are a little embarrassing, so y'all don't fly often either

Archeops, by the way, is in love with you. He's constantly crooning to you and doing many fancy dances to entice you. He gives you feathers, builds you nests, and overall just makes his trainer very jealous, especially when you cuddle the Pokémon instead of him. "Home-wrecker" becomes the poor things new nickname around the house

Guzma:

Thinks you're cool as shit. He and the grunts are so intrigued by your differences, often peppering you in questions. Plumeria always has to chaperone these trips to ask you questions because they get weird and personal so fast due to her knuckleheads having no sense. Guzma scolds them with her, then turns around as lowkey asks you the same questions. Smack him

Shows you off a lot, because he thinks you're so cool. You're big and bad like him ("big and bad"), so he thinks y'all make quite the intimidating power couple. Y'all do to people who don't know anything about you besides the rumors. Anyone who has met you knows better

Should you show any discomfort towards anyone, either for invasive assumptions about you, or because their not-quite-whispering mean things about you to your friend, then Guzma really is big and bad. He shouts and threatens anyone that makes you uncomfortable, scaring them off. He then blushes bright pink when you kiss his cheek in thanks.

Piers:

He likes your look a lot, and even emulates it a little, because he likes the sleek badass-ness of your design. He'll take any feathers you give them and wear them around, to concerts, to the store, anywhere. It makes you very happy to see him wearing around your tiny claims on him, and he looks cool, so win-win

Would like to fly around with you. Nothing too high or crazy, but just around the Wild Area or Spikemuth. The wind as you glide and the feeling of you against him is very calming, and helps clear his head whenever he's experiencing a writer's block

Speaking of writing, he writes songs about you, with references to your hybrid nature being some of the things he loves most about you. You cry when you hear them, and he chuckles at your sappiness to his sappiness. Your thank you kisses make him smile, and he's already composing more songs in his head. What can he say? You're great inspiration
