so ironic I was thinking of this murder mystery au recently as well! I don’t think I’d actually set it in the 19th century but have it be in some nebulous time period where old manors still have vicars living on their grounds, etc etc

I don’t think they get married but instead they continue to live in sin 😌 that way obi-wan can continue at his post and anakin can continue to live in the Palpatine family manor - if he married someone else, he’d be expected to leave the manor to Palpatine’s family members but he doesn’t have to if he’s his widow by law

it’s the entire town’s worst kept secret, that the priest and the widow are fucking and also maybe killed a man?? but no one really liked Palpatine anyway so they’ll look the other way

Were there a couple minutes before Rowen died where David was just panicking, or did he die immediately? This is very important to me for no reason other than “how traumatized was David by this particular incident”

You know, I hadn't really considered it before as anything other than an instant kill movie. Even if Red did survive being stabbed the adrenalin would have been high enough that David just kept on bludgeoning him, its not until after he's dead that David like 'shit, I didn't want that actually'. It would have just been a more drawn out and gruesome death.
