Like i'm not entirely against it existing, but it definitely doesn't feel as special or empowering as it's made out to be

Think about it: the media silences us and censors our experiences all year round. We never learn the full extent of history, lest we make people "uncomfortable"

But we're supposed to be okay with that because there are 28 days a year that big companies use us as marketing while still effectively ignoring what we actually have to say?

It's honestly the same with pride month: completely worthless for the people it's supposedly about, and just another way for billionaires to profit off of minorities without actually helping them

when I was a bit younger I remember being into the Republican Party and hating trans and LGBTQ people. At some point I realized that what I was doing and saying were hateful and ignorant and wrong and then I started to change myself for the better and eventually became the woman I am today

I’d just like to know if anyone else felt like this or has gone through this as I just saw a post that brought back memories of a bunch of horrible stuff I’ve said and done

I know this probably isn’t the right blog for this but I’m not sure where else to post it

Because Elon is a billionaire. He has no excuse.

The poor man cannot provide for his family. They could starve to death right in front of him at any moment. He has an extremely valid excuse. If he were in jail, his family could die without him. He wouldn't even get to say goodbye.

Maybe he has one, and its just not enough. The economy is awful nowadays. Or, maybe he can't get one for some reason.

Both me and my partner practice witchcraft and magick, we believe in spirits and beings like The Fae. The Fae in particular are very powerful entities, that of which shouldn't be messed with or honestly even spoken to if you can help it. They are something to be respected. If you don't practice similar religions to ours then I'd highly suggest doing your own research, beings like them would probably be an interesting research topic! Either way honestly it makes us really uncomfortable whenever someone chooses to use names or pronouns related to them. I've heard others who disagree with the usage of the pronouns compare them to things like jesus/christ-self related comments, things that would be very disrespectful for religions like Christianity.

I have no grievances towards those who use pronouns and names related to religion and deities, and in some cases I'm sure it may be freeing, it just makes us a fair bit uncomfortable. At the end of the day we have no right to try and control what pronouns or names people use, that's honestly not something I'd ever want. I will also admit putting people who use those pronouns next to people like maps and kink accounts is wrong in nearly every way. Once this reply is all sent and published I will fix that and sperate them from the bigger offenders.

As a final message, we are very thankful for all of our followers and everyone who enjoys our things. If you use these names and pronouns it is absolutely nothing against you or those you love, simply to keep ourselves safe and comfortable.

Elon Buying Twitter

I just want to start this out by prefacing that I understand this is a controversial topic and that I am exposing myself to criticism, both rude and kind, but I also want to make this clear that I am only sharing my opinion on this, and only this topic in this post. Do I agree with the rest of you? Absolutely! I will just also be sharing my thoughts on the matter. So no need to come at me, but I understand if you do. Beforehand, all is forgiven and no hard feelings. Let's go!

Firstly, I understand Elon Musk is or was dating Grimes, a pretty bomb ass musical star. That's what I know - oh, and that he's mega-rich and... from what he Tweets, he seems like he wants to make better our quality of life, since that's really all his money has the power to do, since he's not some government official and all that mess.

Secondly, I understand that Elon wants to use some of that quality of life money to buy out Twitter. And upon buying out Twitter, one of the problems with that so far is that he would unban Donald Trump. Now, I understand why everyone would be so against this. He whines and complains so much about shit that it's annoying. Hear me out for a minute: Doesn't making America actually great again mean upholding the spirit of the First Amendment? Those in the know understand that the Bill of Rights was put in place to actually keep the U.S. government out of issue... but the spirit of the Bill was to ensure that the citizens - you, me, and Donald J. Trump - could not have our rights infringed upon and could remain free citizens.

Just because Trump is a complete and utter fuckmuppet moron greaseball hyper-gross McSpazzatron... doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the right to free speech. There is always the block button.

Thirdly, I think Elon buying Twitter might be better overall for Twitter as a whole and make it more enjoyable as a vanilla platform. I mean, Twitter blue can easily be ignored; we ignore "plus" subscriptions everywhere else, so don't pretend it bothers you, just don't buy the subscription. My only stink with Twitter in general -- please do not ever tamper with our censorship or freedom of speech. That's all I ask of Twitter. That's all I ask of Elon Musk. Don't take away our voices and I'm sure things will be fine.

Sometimes I think about how in 6th grade we did a mini lesson in medieval torture... So when I was like 11 I heard about ppl getting cut in half...vertically... And yet sex ed programs are kinda pitiful (when we split to do the like 'heres the girl/boy information' basically the coach just told us a story and offered herself as an open ear. I mean idk what I was expecting but it was a bit more than just an offer if unlicensed therapy. I mean thats nice but not so much informative or preventative. Kinda felt like 'you're a woman, you need therapy...which tru but still) Then states be out here banning discussion of lgbtqia+ in classrooms Like wtf??? Then we out here telling 11 years old how long you can live while fully impaled on a stake in Dracula's front lawn??!!?!?! And not stuff that for one; probably won't scar them mentally and two; actually be fucking useful in general life regardless of their gender or sexuality.

Keep in mind, though, that “Sequins are professional, short sleeves are not.”  This as the woman who posed the question was wearing a sequined top.

As Mahdwi succinctly noted, bearing arms is one thing, but baring arms is distracting -- to men, apparently.
