... You may have heard the saying.. 'We make our choices and our choices turn around and make us'.. and how true that statement is!!.. I want you to think about some of the choices you have made in the past.. I'm sure there are some that you wish you hadn't made... That if you had the chance of a 'do over' .. Maybe you would have done it differently.. Our choices affect our life and inevitably who we become..and they are not to be taken lightly! . Because our choices matter...the Bible speaks often of them.. Near the end of his life Moses challenged his people this way: . "This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live" (Deuteronomy 30:19). Choose life! . As Joshua was an old man and nearing death.. he reminded the people of Israel about what God had done for them.. Then he exhorted them with these words: "But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD (Joshua 24:15) . Jesus has given us the free will to choose.. Today I encourage you to seek Gods wise counsel always so you are guided by Him when making decisions for your life.. .. When God says MOVE.. How obedient are you? Do you question His instruction? Or do you get up and get going? When God gives you a Word or instruction it should never be a case where we dilly dally waiting on Him to repeat it again just in case He got it wrong or maybe it was for someone else? ... So you wait it out a bit just to be sure! Do that and risk losing out on what God has in store for you through your lack of faith and disobedience!.... Throughout the Israelite's time in the desert, traveling from Egypt to Canaan the Promised Land.. God appeared as a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day to lead His people and to remind them of His presence.. When the pillar of God moved forward, the people of Israel would pack up their camp and follow behind it... Similarly, when the pillar of God's presence stopped, the Israelites would set up camp underneath it... Even when Pharaoh and his army were in hot pursuit.. they followed Moses as God had provided a way to safety through the Red Sea!! Can you imagine how they would have felt walking through the parted waters that loomed high above them? Today I encourage you to examine your faith.. Do you have Faith to follow God when He speaks directly into your circumstance? When He gives you an answer to your prayer do you receive it in faith that He will do as He said He will do? When God tells you to move.. Will you move? Even when you don't know how you are going to do what He asks or things don't make sense to you? God knows what you need and will make a way for you.. He knows when you need it and His Plan ALWAYS better.. This one got me!!!.. I don't know about you but the journey I've been on as of late is all about FAITH in action... Walking and seeing things that are not as though they were!!!!.. God requires us to have faith.. It's not always easy as the enemy likes to throw curve balls in every now and again to cause us to stumble.. So we doubt God's ability (like He is ever unable to do anything?!!!).. We worry (like that is going to change anything.. Apart from give us grey hairs and sleepless nights)..
