God is l i g h t

God is light that dissipates darkness.

God is my light. He is the brightest part of all my days and is always there, visibly or not. He outshines anything and even darkness isn’t too dark for Him. He created everything from nothing, from darkness.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)

I’ve heard many people describe God as light or full of light. I love that description, it’s beautiful and God’s existence brought forth light before anything else.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.” (Genesis 1:1-4)

He is The Father of Heavenly Lights clearing all storms, dissolving all shadows, and dissipating all darkness. (Inspired by VOUS worship’s Shadows)

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” (James 1:17)

God is also the light that guides us

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” (John 8:12)

“‘Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.’ When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.” (John 12:36)

GOD is my ALL and His light is in ALL, may it shine through us all always ☼
