Doc x Female!Reader: Apprehensive Confessions

Trigger Warnings: apprehensiveness, confession of love, domestic fluff

Love isn't something Gustave expected he could’ve experienced properly. Sure, he’s caught little feelings for people, but they’ve never developed further than just a day-old crush. But when those feelings were just for you? It made him realize you were different. His entire body warmed up the second his eyes rested upon yours when he first met you. Your voice caused his heart to flutter, his tongue caught by the cat as he found himself unable to even utter a word to you. He still finds himself unable to tell you how he truly feels. He even remembers the way you spoke to him the first time you decided to ever speak to him as clear as day. “Hello, I’ve seen you volunteering at this hospital for quite some time—what’s your name?” you had asked sweetly the first time you had ever spoken to him, a warm and sweet smile on your face as you spoke.

“Ah, my name is Gustave. I-I do seem to volunteer at this one a bit more frequently, oui.” he remembers stuttering, wanting to facepalm himself now more than ever as he recalls it. “What a nice name,” you said, extending your hand out to him, “my name’s Y/N. It’s nice to meet you Gustave.” The rest was history, as Gustave found himself more and more interested in you. You were so bold to just come up to him and it lit a fire that spread through the depths of Gustave’s heart. “Thinking about Y/N again, Gustave?” a voice suddenly asked, causing the Frenchman to break from his thoughts. “N-No, I most certainly am not.” Gustave says, crossing his arms. “You are! Why don’t you just confess your love to her already? I can give you some tips on how to get it perfect!” the voice, now identifiable as Emmanuelle, exclaims cheerfully.

Gustave sucked his teeth, glaring daggers into the ever so cheerful Emmanuelle. “Come on! It won’t do you any good if you don’t confess your love for her! What happens if one day you lose each other and you could never let her know how you feel?” she asks. Gustave sighs, shaking his head, “And what happens if I tell her how I feel and I get rejected and make things awkward between us?” he asks. “Well first of all, thinking like that will get you nowhere. Second of all, you’ll never know if you don’t tell Y/N.” Emmanuelle playfully chastises. “But-” Gustave begins, only to be cut off by someone else chiming into the conversation, “I don’t think there should be any more buts with this. You’ve still got a long way to go with your life, mon ami. Just go ahead and tell her how you feel already.” Gilles says.

“See? Even the mountain himself is telling you to go for it!” Emmanuelle says, raising her arms. “Fine, fine. What should I do then?” Gustave asks, putting his hands in his pockets. “Express to her the true emotions of your heart the best way you can.” Gilles says. “And hearing how much you talk about Y/N, it sounds like she really likes you the way you are. Just be yourself and it’ll go by smoothly.” Emmanuelle says. “When should I tell her how I feel then?” Gustave asks. “You said you’re going to be going over and helping her settle into a new apartment, right? Tell her when you’re all done setting everything up.” Emmanuelle says.

Thinking it over slightly, Gustave nods. “Okay fine, I’ll confess my feelings for her…thank you both for the advice.” he says softly and begins to walk away. How exactly was helping you with your apartment going to properly get him to express how he feels though? Gustave had no idea, but he just guessed he was going to have to give it a try now since he'd agreed to it. Eventually time passed and was spent by Gustave overthinking the scenario, and the day to help you move in came around. He woke up early and wore clothes that he wouldn’t care about if they got ruined. He made his way to your new apartment and saw you sitting out on the steps that led inside.

“Y/N? How long have you been sitting there waiting?” Gustave asks, stepping up and walking towards you. You immediately perk up, standing and dusting yourself off to give Gustave a hug. His heart skips a beat at this motion, hugging you back gently. “I haven’t been sitting out here for too long, only about hmm…twenty minutes?” you say, pulling away from the hug. “Ah, I see. Guess I had taken twenty minutes too long.” Gustave chuckles, giving you a warm smile. You fluster slightly before returning that same warmth to him, “It’s fine! You’re here at least and that’s all that matters to me, honey.” you say, only to realize you had accidentally called him that. Gustave’s eyes are slightly wide, his mind racing.

He clears his throat and nods, “Well then, let’s get started dear.” he says. Now it’s your turn to be slightly taken aback, surprised to hear Gustave use a term of endearment on you. Before either of you know it, the entire day’s gone by and everything’s been set up in your apartment. You’d taken breaks in between but never fully processed how quickly time had passed. “Hey, how do you feel about driving home right now? It’s pretty dark out and I just noticed it’s started pouring…” you say sleepily, rubbing your eyes. “Ah, I suppose it has…it is going to be a bit dangerous to drive in these conditions. Would you be okay with me staying over? I can just sleep on the couch.” Gustave says.

You fluster slightly, cuddling up to him a bit, “I…I think it would be nice to have you next to me in my bed…letting you sleep on the couch seems a bit cruel…” you say. “A-Are you sure you’re comfortable with that?” Gustave asks, clearly shocked by this sudden decision. You nod, looking into his eyes. “I-I see…well…can I get something off my chest first..?” he asks once again. “Go ahead…” you say softly. Gustave nods and clears his throat a bit, “Ever since the first day you spoke to me, I’ve been so attracted to you. We had worked together at that hospital for a very long time and I feel bad for never making an effort to talk to you,” he begins, grabbing both your hands and holding them gently.

“However, it’s come to me that I should have told you long ago how I felt. I’ve wasted a lot of time by not telling you that…I’ve fallen deeply in love with you, Y/N. You helped me feel a love I didn’t think I was capable of having and I want to be with you.” he finishes. You become overwhelmed with emotion, gripping onto his hands tightly as your eyes begin to water. “I-I…feel the exact same way! You’ve helped me feel so secure and happy with myself, and helped me find my way through this world…I would love to be with you, Gustave…” you say. Gustave smiles, letting go of one of your hands.

He then brings it up to cup one side of your face, moving in closer to give you a gentle kiss. You’re more than happy to kiss him back, running your free hand through his hair. It’s as soft as you thought it’d be, and it made you happy as you could be. Gustave eventually pulls away before lifting you up and taking you to your room. You squeak slightly, holding onto his forearms to try and keep yourself balanced on him as he makes his way to your newly decorated room. Gustave lays you down on your bed carefully, covering you up with the blanket before joining you. “Are you not bothered by the smell of sweat on me?” you ask, finding yourself quickly falling asleep once again. “Non, it’s something natural. You don’t seem to mind it with me.” Gustave jokes, making you fluster as you nuzzle up against him.

“Yeah…I guess you’re right. it’s just nice getting to be right next to you.” you say, smiling softly. “And it’s nice to be the same way with you. May I wrap my arm around you?” Gustave asked. “Of course, I’m in love with your touch…” you say, gently caressing his cheekbone with your thumb. “You’ve barely felt it and for that I do apologize, ma chérie.” Gustave apologizes. “It’s fine, you’ll have plenty of time to make up for it. Now let's get some sleep, we really deserve it.” you say. “Of course, I hope you sleep well with me. Bonne nuit, ma chérie…” Gustave says sleepily, closing his eyes as he instinctively wrapped his arm around your waist. “Goodnight, honey…” you say as you finally close your eyes and drift off to sleep in the arms of your new lover.

Oh my gosh I accidentally deleted a whole post I finished up for the GIGN boys having feelings for a reader who’s just been cheated on ;( I’m pretty sure @vampsquerade had requested it! So I’m sorry for the delay, it’s only because I had to rewrite the whole thing :(( if I wasn’t correct about the prompt too feel free to request again <3

Doc

- Gustave has grown so used to your presence around him, even as he’s working, that it wasn’t a surprise when he was quick to notice your absence.

- When he finally does see you again. He can tell something is off. He honestly tries to avoid bringing it up for a while, but it eats him alive to not know.

- “Is something wrong, mon ami?”

- It took a few seconds until you finally whispered out that you had caught your partner in a lie. They were cheating on you.

- It stunned Gustave to say the least. “They cheated on you?” Hearing it come from another persons mouth made your heart break just a little more. You must be so stupid.

- Noticing your body becoming more and more tense, he would move towards you, offering his arms as a resting place for you.

- You took advantage of it, leaning against him. Cautiously, he would lean down as well, placing a kiss on your cheek and wiping the salty tears that had built up in your eyes.

Rook

- Ever the sweetheart, he didn’t want to bother you if you just weren’t in the mood to talk, but he had something in him just telling him to text at least.

- So he did. He asked how things were going. Basic conversation starter. You seemed just so sad even over text. Julien didn’t want to push you, he was just worried, so he put you a bit on the spot,

- “Meet me at bridge?”

- You immediately knew which bridge he was talking about. You two went there sometimes to talk before walking around a bit.

- You wanted to say no, but didn’t have it in you to deny him. So you agreed and finally tore yourself up from the comfort of your home and out to meet Julian.

- Seeing you, his face lit up, though you were sure you weren’t looking your hottest. Seeing him, you felt guilty. You had gone 3 days without seeing or talking to him.

- Julien didn’t seem to mind though, quick to give you a gentle hug and make small talk. It slowly crumbled over what felt like long pauses of silence. You felt your throat start to tighten, hands gently shaking, desperate to keep it in.

- But of course, Julien notices and slips an arm over your shoulder asking you what’s been wrong. It all comes out, admitting you didn’t mean to avoid him, in fact you’ve really needed him.

Lion

- Oliver is many things, some good some bad, he doesn’t quite know where his hard headed attitude would fall when given those two options, but he felt like it must have provided you with some promise that he’d make sure your ex never came near you again.

- Apart of him was a little glad. He never liked your partner anyway. Olivier knew he could treat you better than them.

- He held onto you, sitting on the floor of your bedroom where he came to check on you, loosing track of time. He had some things like personally got him through tough times, praying especially, but he was aware that didn’t help everyone. So he gave the top of your head a gentle kiss and he said what he knew was deep down,

- “I would never cheat on you”

Montagne

- You came to him. He’s a gentle giant who part times as an amazing hugging partner, so when you found out about the scandal, you ran to him before thinking twice.

- Gilles was quick to ask what’s wrong. It was an odd hour for you to seek him out randomly. You really just needed someone right now, you tried to explain that, but your throat felt all jumbled and Gilles ended up just guiding you down next to him to rest.

- After a few minutes of him claiming you down so you’d be able to regain yourself, you had to get the affair off your chest.

- “They did that? .. Je suis tellement désolé. They weren’t good enough for you anyway.”

- You accepted his kind words, apart of you bashful towards them as you were trying to not break down about everything. He would grow to be lost in his own mind, catching your attention.

- It felt wrong not to tell you as you cried over another lover in his arms, but he didn’t want to bring them up when he didn’t have to.

- “I should admit something, shouldn’t I? It’s wrong for you to not know isn’t it?” He was rationalizing out loud, “I have deep feelings for you, mon ami. I want to be with you.”

Rainbow six GIGN cuddle HC

Lord have mercy the hell was I thinking, I cant write SHIT. Anyway here is a rainbow GIGN cuddle HC. I'm testing different ways of writing so you might not see a lot of similarities in each characters writing. Some im more proud of but enough of this read below for your GIGN babies!

Montagne (Gillies):

It's never difficult to persuade Gilles for some snuggle action, he wouldn't really say it's what he lives for but with the right person he does tend to favor it. Surprising for his size Gillies is a switch when it comes to big or little spoon but truthfully, he leans towards little spoon. He loves to be able to bundle you close to his body protecting you from anything that dares to come your way. But on the other hand, slotting himself against you while every inch of you invites him closer makes him feel like he belongs.

Gillies was born and raised to protect all no matter the case, to stand and stare whatever is in front of you and to never turn to run. but when he is so used to standing in the front lines it's hard to see if the ones standing behind him are actually with him or not. As strong as he presents himself, the dreaded doubt that he doesn't belong always resides in him. So, the time he has to just let that doubt go and focus on you holding him, showing him that he belongs with you are moments that Gillies will always cherish and crave with you.

Twitch (Emmanuelle)

You would think there was a cuddling competition going on when it comes to snuggling with Emmanuelle. She truly strives for perfection in any task that is given. But do not doubt her ability to express her emotions with you. Just because she specializes in robotics does not mean she is one. Emmanuelle isn't just a full body cuddler she loves grabbing and holding any part of you. Definitely loves being the big spoon. pushing yourself against her chest while she bends and plays with your hands is a very loved classic for her.

Emmanuelle craves a working mind; she loves getting up close and personal with everything in her sight. That being said, you have had your fair share of cramps while testing every cuddle position she thinks of. But even working minds need a rest. Questioning her motives, she has deeply expressed to you that you are not a rest stop to her. Yes, Emmanuelle loves studying and learning everything about everything but there has never been a time where she has question anything you do. She doesn't stare at you, studying you. No Emmanuelle stares at you adoring you.

Lion (Oliver)

Speaking Olivers name around anyone, you are sure to get a strong option whether it be of admiration or sheer hatred. No matter the comments; one thought about him always stays steady with everyone. Oliver is everything BUT shy. The fondness that glows in his eyes when he gets to pull you in his lap makes your whole-body bloom with warmth. PDA is something he doesn't given a second thought to. Cuddling with this massive cat man you will never feel like you are in the shadows or being hidden. Holdings your hips against his while tickling your neck with his short stubble nearly makes the man purr.

Oliver was shut out from his family. His mistakes while standing with him have no weight on him whatsoever. That be said Oliver makes it his goal to use his past to make sure that those he loves and the ones who love him know he is always there no matter the cause. Oliver needs to be big spoon; he is known to hold his strength against any foe, so he knows when his hands are gripped on you that neither of you are leaving. Hold your body against his allows him to show and feel that not only are you keeping him there, but that he is never leaving you anywhere alone.

Doc (Gustave)

Kind, thoughtful, accessible, stubborn. Gustave is a man of many talents from writing his studies of toxicology to showing how far he can go to get what he wants. This man is in no way selfish or forceful with what he wants but he is definitely persistent with "five more minutes". Gustave loves the big spoon and little spoon roles. Or more like he loves fighting for the role with you. while he loves some rough and scruff Gustave does get filled with absolute delight feeling your arms gently wrap around him from behind while deep in his work. He is not much of a fan on quite cuddle sessions, he loves laughing, playing and tossing around with you.

Gustave has been notorious for not hiding his emotions when not interested in something. Even with the expectation of his beloved family wanting him to peruse the medical field he still pushed for his own path. So, when you settle down expecting a big squeeze and giggles. you are getting a big squeeze and as much laughter as your lungs can handle. He would do anything to make you feel better even if its outside his interest. Gustave has always been kind, soft, and overall, someone you can relax with. But is there really no better way to relax than to let loss and go against every calculation there is?

Rook (Julien)

For being in special forces as well as a man known for armor plating Julien is a the softest and most bendable person when it comes to cuddling. it's like laying with pudding, he will melt in just about every crease and crevice when laying with you. That doesn't mean any cuddle session with him is a relaxing one. Julien is an expert at getting into places that might be out of mind for most so, expect to learn some new tickle spots on yourself. While he has no mind in showering you with endless squeezing and kisses Julien loves bouncing off the furniture when he really gets you in a fit of laughter and screaming.

Known for his flexibility and high energy he will most certainly challenge your stamina in a match of cuddle or die. Julien understands when enough is enough as well as when sometimes you need a moment to sit down and shut off. Out of the group he even makes Gustave and Emmanuelle work for their money on empathy. Hearing a stressed-out sigh from you he is instantly picking you up to the bedroom and giving you the best back massage, you ever had. Julian has never turned down an antsy cuddle partner, you need to turn five times? go for it! the blanket isn't feeling right? He's ripping it off, its cold? He's tucking you right back in.

so basically lion was a super rebellious teenager in a very well-off conservative catholic and he ruined his life when he was 18 by fucking up and getting his at the time girlfriend pregnant. he begged her to get an abortion because his family is so religious they’d absolutely kill him if they found out, she said no, he tried to pressure her into it and she left, it was a whole thing. they did find out and disowned his ass and he, now faced with being kicked out of the house with absolutely nothing at 18, went on a depression and fear fueled bender and landed in the hospital . absolutely sucked 0/10 bad time

so when he got outta this hospital he decided he ws gonna clean up his life by joining the military and try to be a good person. wild choice but yk its a military fps game what do you expect . he also became catholic again which i mean yeah sure fine i guess thats his choice. after a while (like a Long while) his unit’s chaplain arranged a meeting with the ex girlfriend and the child, and he was like “oh SHIT my actions have consequences this child almost didn’t exist” and now makes an effort to be in his son’s life even though the kid grew up calling someone else dad bc the gf got married at some point i think? idk regardless lion tries to be a good parent despite his past fuckups and i like that about him

but anyway so lion joins the gign, then gets recruited for cbrn which is like . anti-bioterrorism basically, where he meets doc and twitch (two other gign operators that r in the game) during an ebola outbreak. lion, being a quarantine specialist, decides to quarantine a bunch of infected people to prevent the spread of the virus. doc is NOT happy about this because hes hardcore humanitarian and wants to try to help them. because of lion’s shitty quarantine practices they wind up dying, and doc has blamed him ever since which is totally fuckin fair . they both had a lot of mean things to say to each other, namely that lion lacks empathy and that doc’s belief that People Should Not Die If It’s Preventable is a liability. the two have been actively hostile towards each other for a long time, but have reached a stable point in the past couple seasons. theyre both beginning to move on and work together to lead wolfguard, which is rainbow’s rescue unit essentially

so now with all the backstory shit out of the way, what i like about this wretched beast; he sucks, he fucked up a whole lot, but he’s trying so very hard to do better for the people he cares about and for himself. he’s confident and even cocky when it comes to his combat skills but he absolutely does not trust his civilian instincts because of the things he’s done in the past so he’s really, really bad at interacting with people . he tends to come off as an arrogant asshole (which is kind of true honestly) and has gotten into fights with so so many other members of rainbow because he’s just so full of fuckin attitude. he also canonically likes heavy metal and cats and is fascinated by virology and vector control :] and when he’s not doing stuff for team rainbow he tries to help his community by volunteering for various stuff

in conclusion; i love this wretched beast. he’s the reason i got into r6 and i rotate him in my brain every day because he is just Inch Resting to me. i could talk about my nighthaven lion thoughts BUT tahts not even canon adjacent that’s just me being insane so i will save that for another day . sorry for the 800 page essay i just fjskgkakkgks lion my beloved . i will leave you with this picture of him bc i like it :]

Biography:

In 1950, Coma's father served under the North Korean military in the Korean War. He then switched sides, hiding his family and his wife in South Korea from the dictating government. He then went back to North Korea, but was never found and officially Missing In Action. This caused Coma's mother to be in a catatonic state out of trauma. Coma's relatives and sibling had to take care of their own and supported the family with barely anything. Coma and her brother took numerous jobs until they were able to get into college. The brother immediately went into the military while Coma did research in Seoul National University. She made several outstanding successes with nerve agents and anesthetics, gaining PhDs in the process.

Over unfortunate day, Coma was sexually harassed by a co-worker of hers. Her mother wanted to silence the incident, passing it off as a bad day. Coma's brother was furious and promptly persuaded Coma to join the military. Not only to protect herself and get experience for her research, but to also find their father. Coma immediately accepted, wanting to find her father for years.

Despite many hardships and blood spilled, Coma was able to get into the 707th SMB. One of her superiors noticed her science background and suggested the higher-ups for a opportunity to use it. Coma would then be deployed in missions ranging from human trafficking to counter terrorism. One specific mission used a stronger variant of Rohypnol and was one of the most successful missions using a non lethal method. This got the attention of operator "Horangi" and recruited her to join Kortac.

At first, Coma refused, wanting to find her father first. "Horangi" made an offer to help find and rescue her father and Coma reluctantly accepted.

Psychological Report:

There's no doubt that Coma is hard-working, albeit a bit too much. Based on her backround check, she had to be the breadwinner along with her brother for her big family. During her work, she's very calloused, cold, serious, and completely focused on doing things right. Has zero time for humor or small talk and seems to always be thinking. Extremely quiet but not shy or meek, she gets very loud when angered and has scared several recruits. Her worst trait tends to be her reserved nature, very hard to get along with during training or practice.

Despite this, outside of work she's a caring, patient mother figure. Has been getting long with medics and other scientists in the field along with rivals such as Septic. Very kind to others and respectful among peers regardless of age. Surprisingly against traditional etiquette in Korea, "deserve her respect through personality, not by age" goes very strongly with her. Seemingly lowers tension for others when in the room thanks to her calm and relaxed demeanor. Special operator "König" enjoys her company and seeks her out often when feeling anxious.

Not a happy person by all means, but far from grim or moody. Is just content where she is at all times and strangely brings comfort about anywhere she goes. I joked if her perfume had any of her sedatives in it... to which she chuckled lightly and never...responded to.

☆ He does his best to try and help understand your situation, he and Harry making sure you’re monitored and taken care of in the case that your effects are on the more extreme side

☆ Gustave also does his best to comfort you, giving you first words of reassurance before then evolving into the friendship you two now have

☆ He’s slept next to you from time to time, urging you to wake him in case you had severe nightmares and unwanted memories of the event that caused your PTSD

☆ Gustave is aware PTSD could never really be cured, but it can be treated with patience and proper care

☆ He would have to gently get you to at least try and sleep, as you would go through bouts of insomnia in order to avoid the nightmares and memories in your sleep

☆ If he couldn’t get you to sleep, Gustave would just have you lay in the infirmary with him while he did some work

☆ Whenever he finds you crying after an episode, Gustave will sit next to you and pull you into an embrace, promising you that you’ve escaped that event

☆ Makes sure you don’t harm yourself in any way, and if you have, Gustave always patches you up

☆ Gustave often also has you exercise with him, and he always makes sure that he doesn’t stress you out this way

☆ Frequently reminds you to take your medication, keep yourself hydrated, and rested as well as you can despite the circumstances

☆ Gustave has most definitely also bought you a weighted stuffed animal, just in case he wasn’t here to keep you company
