NEAR FIELD Gambletron 2022

Via Detour: Uber Umweg, Robin's Nest, Witzenhausen, germany .

An exploration of radio transmission/ receiver kinetic feedback on found metal.

This project lived in a german forest for three months acting as both an FM radio station and a feedback resonant machine. Antennae rumbling and activated by cyclic wiring in conjunction with transmitted sound being fed into the sculpture via surface transducers.

Curators: Maria Hinze, Peter Becker

The media festival included 20 ish artists internationally and was programmed adjacent to Documenta 15 and had busses running from Kassel.

Audio experiment EXCERPTS FROM SYLVIA PLATH's UNABRIDGED DIARIES is a sound journey through mental lands of the poet, transposed and imprinted in sonic improvisations between artists/musicians Lena Kocisova (Akkamiau) and Sarah Martinus. Lena and Sarah, both residing in Berlin, are active members of female:pressure,  the international creative community. 

Together we invite you on this sound journey: hoping the insights, trials and tribulations of the honest accounts from Sylvia’s life allow you to explore the deep and creative energy of what is female within all of us.

Selected chapters are narrated by Sarah and accompanying soundscapes originate from collaborative improvisations between the artists. The first part features two tracks, Perhaps by akkamiau and Broke by Sarah Martinus. The soundtrack in complete was compiled and produced by Akkamiau and credits for the graphics go to Sarah Martinus.

Working on an exhibition of books @weserburg_museum this week. Glad to be a cool space inside a museum… the heatwave is killing me. I nearly died getting lunch. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN* takes the act of writing as a starting point to reflect on a variety of recent art practices in and around Southeast Asia, focusing on the complexity of reading, performing, under- standing, and translating these texts. The exhibition shows how contemporary artistic working methods of writing are manifested in art- ists’ publications and how economic, political, and postcolonial, as well as sociocultural and artistic influences have affected the creation of the art- works in the respective countries of #SoutheastAsia.
