Idk if you'd do a post-s9 on the run fic, but maybe one where they spot an abandoned puppy on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and Mulder decides they'll let him tag along because it might make Scully happy 🥺
They find the little mut abandoned on a long Louisiana highway, caked mud mixing with the sunset colors of its coat.
Mulder suspects it might secretly be a redhead, warily watching Scully pour the last of her Gatorade on the mammoth paws scrabbling for purchase against her tiny, tiny, wandering feet.
She insists they take it. No one is left behind.
Not anymore.
****
It refuses to stick its head out into the wind, let alone approach the window. The puppy stares blankly ahead, weeping on and off while Scully tries to haul it into the front seat, ends up hauling herself into the back one instead.
"He's not sick," she murmurs. Mulder watches while she flips its ears around, feels its nose, inspects its ticks.
"Mm," he nods, tries to catch her eye when Scully tucks her perfect chin on top of the little guy's scroungy head.
The road stretches on and on; and finally, he breaks the silence.
"We're not calling him Cat, Scully."
They call him Rusty Trawler.
*****
Mulder sees the poster first.
Missing Puppy. Redbone Coonhound, small. Answers to Arthur. Reward, $100.
It's the dirtiest money he's collected since they've slipped away from the authorities.
Scully waits by the car, takes the hundred from his wooden fingers, and holds his hand until the family have herded their joyful, wriggling, whiny puppy back into his rightful home.

Thanks for reading~
Enjoy!

there's something so poetic about kipperlilly copperkettle—who hated one of her classmates for daring to be better than her and having a dead dad, who refused to improve herself and instead chose to be bitter and entitled, who was so obsessed with being Special and Important like she felt she deserved that she willingly worked with a rage god, betrayed her party, and killed her friend—getting killed by fucking. Hold Person. her fancy optimal build IMMEDIATELY folding in the face of riz's cleverness and experience and applied knowledge. she spends years fixated solely on racking up EXP and getting the Best Abilities, and then when she dies, she's killed not in glorious combat but by a clever, practical application of a 2nd level spell that she NEVER would have ever thought of using because she has no creativity or adventurers' spirit, cast by the same classmate she always hated with a watch his dead dad gave him.

The Terrors Beneath Deepfrost Citadel: a dnd-campaign
Get ready for “The Terrors Beneath Deepfrost Citadel”: a Decked Out 2-inspired Dungeons and Dragons campaign.
Many years ago, an adventurer by the name of Thaddeus Holsten opened the Black Mines and built Deepfrost Citadel - names familiar to any who aspire to be adventurers themselves. After tragedy struck, the mines were blocked off, the Citadel stood empty, and Thaddeus Holsten himself vanished.
Year after year, adventurers arrive in the former mining town of Hermilthan, sitting at the foot of the icy mountain where Deepfrost Citadel and the Black Mines are located. To find the treasures buried in the mines or hidden within the Citadel’s walls, or to discover the fate of Thaddeus Holsten. But anyone who enters the Citadel to start their search, disappears without a trace and none walk out alive.
Do you have what it takes to brave this dungeon? Or will it eat you alive?
