Rowina’s glasses. Phoebe’s not sure what it is about glasses but she loves them. So damn much. And if/when Rowina needs to get a new pair, Phoebe would be the first to tell her how well the frame her face and they suit her well. Phoebe would often comment on how sweet they make Rowina look while telling Rowina that although it sucks that her eyesight is bad the glasses really do suit her and that Phoebe couldn’t imagine her friend without them.

1. Riz knows that he’s a good detective.

2. Adaine finds the first book two weeks after Aelwyn moves into her room.

3. “Are we really sure that this is necessary?”

4. “Hey Fig”, Fabian hears the Genasi girl—Romilda? Rowina? Ronalda?—say after their latest Bard class on Tuesday.

5. Mordred Manor is loud.

6. It takes Riz quite some time to work up the courage to talk to Fabian after prom.

7. Riz didn’t like sleep before he went on a quest to retrieve the crown of the nightmare king.

8. The air smells of smoke, dust and blood.

9. One of the most important lessons Gorgug has learned from his parents is to always talk about his feelings—not necessarily with his parents, but with someone, maybe even anyone, especially if it was something that makes him feel bad.

As you can see I have only written for Fantasy High and for my own D&D campaign lately *cough* I bolded my favorite line. It’s not necessarily exciting, but I enjoyed writing that fic a lot!

Patterns: I tend to start with short statements and I don’t start with dialogue as often as I thought, but it’s still one of my favorite ways to start a fic :D Also the statements are usually starting by naming the POV character of the fic.

Grabbing Cas’s hand, you walk into the bunker. Weirdly all the lights were turned off, they’re never all off. Before you could say something you hear “Surrise!”

All the lights turn on, revealing a crowd of people standing in the bunker, looking at you. Pink and blue streamers lined the walls and bookshelves, balloons were floating over the tables tied down to blue and pink weights, and the table in the corner was piled high with neatly wrapped presents. Glancing at the face in the room you see Jody, Charlie, Rowina, Ellen, Bobby, Crowley, and more of your hunting friends. Grinning, you walk down the stairs and hug your brothers “This is what you two were talking about this morning wasn’t it?”

“Ya, I thought you overheard us talking,” Sam says, returning the hug. “Surprised?”

“Yes, this is the best surprise ever! Cas helped you plan this didn’t he, that’s why he wanted to go shopping today but didn’t want to get much,” you reply.

Dean said, “Yes, he helped us plan and get you out of the bunker for a few hours so we could set everything up. Well go have fun, enjoy yourself!” Motioning to the rest of the room. “There’s cake, drinks, and plenty of snacks. Plenty of people to catch up with, and later we can open presents.”

Wandering around the room, you greet a few people and have small conversations with them about life and how the pregnancy was going. Starting to feel hungry, you head for the buffet table, before you could reach it you feel arms wrap around you from behind. “Y/n! I missed you, how are you doing? How are the babies?” Smiling, you could recognize that voice from anywhere. Turning around you hug Charlie back.

“I missed you too. I’m doing well and the babies are doing great. They’re super active and like to use me as a punching bag sometimes.” Putting a hand to your ever-growing bump, you feel one of them kicking you. Give me your hand, one of them’s kicking right now.” Taking Charlie’s hand, you put it where your hand had just been. Charlie excitedly looks at your stomach waiting to feel something.

After a couple of seconds in suspense, one of them kicks just where her hand is resting. A huge grin broke out across Charlie’s face. “Oh my Chuck, I felt that! That was so weird and cool, it must be so weird to feel them kick from inside you. Do you think they’re going to do it again?”

Laughing you reply “Yes they will kick again at some point. And ya it’s weird, it took some getting used too. I was just about to get some food, want to join me?”

“Hell ya I do, Maybe they’ll be more active after you eat.”

“Possibly, it depends on what I eat and what mood they’re in.” Smiling, you and Charlie grab food and catch up while you eat. After you and Charlie finish up talking, you head over to where your brothers were standing talking to Bobby.

“Hey Y/n,” Bobby says, giving you a hug. “You look great. How are you and the babies doing?”

“We’re good Bobby. They’ve been super active lately, Charlie got to feel them kick a little bit ago. How are you doing.”

“I’m doing well, nothing new going on in my life. Just the same old same old, helping out hunters in need. Your brothers and I were talking about the possibility of me staying a little while.”

“Wait did you say Charlie got to feel the twins kick?” Dean cuts in, placing a hand on your stomach.

“Yes Dean, she felt them, and so did Cas earlier. Sorry Bobby, he and Sam haven’t felt them kick yet and Dean’s been wanting to feel them kick since he found out about them. Anyway, that’s great I would love to have you stay for a while. Ever since we moved to the bunker I haven’t got to see you as much and I miss that.”

“Hey Y/n, do you want to go open presents now?” Sam asks, gesturing to the table of presents sitting against the wall.

“Sure Sam. We should probably do that before people have to leave. Could you go find Cas for me and tell him?” With a nod, Sam walks off to find Cas and you turn your attention back to Bobby. “Sorry, apparently a lot of people want my attention today.”

“It’s fine sweetheart,” Bobby replies, taking a sip from his drink. “It is your baby shower after all. There’s Cas now, why don’t the two of you go open presents like Sam suggested. I want to see your face when you open mine, you’re going to love it.”

Agreeing with Bobby, you grab your boyfriend to open presents. And boy were there a lot of presents. Rowina had made you some charms to help with teething, calming the baby down, and more. Jody made you a mommy care package that had a super soft blanket, a pair of slippers, a couple of face masks, and a bottle of tequila after the babies were born. Charlie had gotten you a couple pairs of adorable matching onesies that happened to be Harry Potter themed. Sam and Dean got you some supplies for the babies, you now didn’t need to worry about having enough diapers anymore. And Bobby’s gift was the best of all, he made you a gorgeous matching crib, changing table, and rocking chair set.

“Bobby this is too much,” you exclaimed when you saw the gifts.

“Nonsense, I had a weekend off and I like building stuff like this. Anyway, when I talked to Sam and Dean on the phone when they invited me, they said you didn’t really have anything for the babies. And when they have kids you can pass the set down to them.”

Walking over to Bobby you give him a hug “Thank you.” Just before you released him from the hug one of the babies kicked.

Bobby’s face lit up “Your welcome, was that one of them?” Nodding you see the smile on his face grow even wider. “That’s amazing.”

After the presents were opened most of the guests left except for Bobby, Charlie, Jody, Rowina, and Crowley. After grabbing some trash to throw away, Sam walks up to you “Dean and I can take care of cleaning up Y/n. It’s been a long day for you, why don’t you go sit down and talk a break.” Nodding in agreement, you head to find where everyone else had gone.

Walking down one of the main halls you hear Crowley call behind you. “Y/n wait up, do you know your brothers and Cas are?”

“Sam and Dean are cleaning up and I don’t know where Cas is. What’s wrong?” you look at him worried, you had a bad feeling about this.

Crowley hurriedly explains “They’re coming, one of the groups that want the twins are on their way. One of the demons that I put on keeping an eye out just saw them drive past his post. They’ll be here soon.”
