We are very excited to announce Byler Halloween Week (aka Bylerween) this year!!! We'll be celebrating all things Byler + Halloween from OCTOBER 26TH - NOVEMBER 1ST.

We are inviting all fans to create artwork, fanfics, video edits, gifs, moodboards, memes, analysis, and more (the sky is the limit!) for the event to help us celebrate a very spooky Bylerween!

As we approach October, we'll be releasing some spooky campfire story prompts to provide some additional ficlet inspiration, and we'll be announcing more of our plans to make Bylerween a fun and spooky week for all of us!

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

In order to participate, just tag your Bylerween posts #bylerween2023 or tag us so we can reblog your work. No need to sign up!

Tag your posts with which day your post is for (#Day 1, #Day 2, etc) AND which daily theme(s) your post is based on (for example, #Ghosts & Hauntings, #Trapped in the Upside Down, #Haunted House, etc).

All fanworks featured during Bylerween Week must be NEW. We will be highlighting older Byler Halloween fanfics (via fic recs and self-promo) and other fanworks from October 1 - October 25! For more information about highlighting older fics before Bylerween Week, please see here.

Late entries are allowed until November 22nd, 3 weeks after Bylerween ends.

Other background ships are allowed to be featured, and are encouraged to be included on specified Double Date Nights. Byler must be the main ship in all works, though.

All AO3 works must be added to the Bylerween 2023 Collection.

Explicit works are allowed, but only for explicit violent content. We are not accepting any works with explicit sexual content. Our AO3 Collection will be moderated and we'll be verifying each fic's content before adding it to the Collection.

No AI is allowed in the creation of fanart, fanfiction, or any other fanworks for this event.

TRIGGER & TAG RULES FOR HORROR CONTENT:

Posts with triggering content need to be tagged with the standardized tw tags: tw jump scare, tw gore, tw blood, tw flashing, tw violence, tw cannibalism, etc. The full and comprehensive tw list can be found here.

For artwork with explicit violence, gore, or body horror: add applicable trigger tags, a trigger warning, AND put art under a Read-More cut.

For fanfic/ficlets: Utilize the AO3 tagging system when posting on AO3, using appropriate tags, warnings, and ratings. If you just post your fic on tumblr, please add any applicable trigger tags, and if your writing includes detailed gore or violence, please put it under a Read-More cut and include a trigger warning.

Feel free to ask us any questions! And please REBLOG to spread the word! We'd love to spread the word and reach a lot of people so that Bylerween can be as fun and interactive for everyone as possible!

RULES AND GUIDELINES

Unleashed! is an anonymous drarry + rare pair fest that welcomes works in which (an) animal(s), i.e. a magical or non-magical pet or beast, or an animagus or a patronus, must play a significant role. 

We will be accepting drarry as well as rare pair fan creations.

For the purpose of this fest, a rare pair is defined as any pair, triad or poly relationship, except the first ten on this list. (Yes, drarry is in the first ten but it is an exeption.)

Accepted works include fic, art, craft, and podfic.

Timeline:

Prompting opens: May 1st Prompting closes: May 15th Claiming starts: May 16th Claiming closes: August 31st Submissions due: September 1st Posting begins: September 15th

Prompting

You may submit as many prompts as you like, using your name or anonymously. You do not have to create for the fest in order to post a prompt.

Please include any extra prompt details that you would love to see incorporated. If you wish, you can also include maximum rating and any dislikes. Please note that these are for inspiration only and creators are not obligated to adhere to them fully.

We allow self-prompting. You can submit your desired prompt and then take your chance claiming it, or you can fill in the special box for self-prompts once claiming opens.

Prompts will be available for browsing once prompting opens.

Claiming

This is an 18+ fest. Please do not sign up if you are under 18 at the time of claiming (May 16th 2024).

You can only claim one prompt at a time. If you finish your prompt, you may claim an additional prompt. If you have finished your first prompt, and wish to claim another, please submit your first work as per submission guidelines before submitting another claim form. Claims will be awarded on a first come first served basis.

Collaborations are welcome. Please only submit one claim form per collaboration and include the details of all participants.

If you wish to create based on an existing fanwork, please submit it as a self prompt. We will only allow art, craft, or podfic for existing works with the original creator’s permission. We would expect written consent or a blanket permission statement from the original creator as proof. You can browse blanket permission statements of creators here.

Creating

This is an anonymous fest, so please keep the details of your creations to yourself. Please do not discuss your creations with anyone except for your beta readers and the fest mods until the reveals have been announced.

All creations must feature an animal as a prominent part of the work. This includes magical and non-magical pets and beasts, and an animagus or patronus.

For fics there is a minimum word count of 1000 words, no maximum. For podfics the recorded story should be a minimum of 1000 words, no maximum.

AI generated works of any format are not permitted in this fest.

All fics must be proofread. Podfics should be proofed before submitting. If you are unable to find a beta, please reach out to the mods.

Submissions must be complete works created for this fest. Please do not submit incomplete works or works that are a part of a series or a prequel/sequel to an existing work.

We encourage you to be inspired by the prompts’ additional details, but it is not a requirement to incorporate them into your creation. You are not required to abide by any mentioned dislikes. However, if you plan to gift your creation to the prompter, we may disallow this if you ignore stated dislikes.

All works must be posted directly to the AO3 collection: Unleashed! Fest 2024. If you don’t have an AO3 account, please contact the mods in advance.

You are required to add unleashed_mods as a co-creator when uploading your work. This is so that we can change the posting date, check the submission, and add a tag for unleashed fest 2024 and an endnote. We will not make any other changes to your work without your permission, and we will remove the mod account immediately after the reveals.

Major archive warnings and other seriously triggering and harmful content must be tagged. Here is a very helpful list of warning tags. Given the theme of the fest, be especially mindful of tagging themes like animal abuse and cruelty, pet/animal death, bestiality, pet play, etc. The mods will proof all submissions and inform you if there are any additional requirements for the duration of the fest.

Upon submitting your content, you agree to the Rules and Guidelines of the fest.

Submissions for existing works should be linked to the original work using the AO3 function: “This work is a remix, a translation, a podfic, or was inspired by another work” and pasting the URL of the original work.

HD Wireless Fest 2024

🎵 RULES AND GUIDELINES 🎵

🎶 Prompting:

Prompting opens January 14th 2024. 

You may submit up to ten prompts. These can be named or anonymous. We trust our prompters to abide by this, even if they are prompting anonymously. You do not have to be creating a work for the fest in order to post a prompt. Anyone can prompt!

All prompts must be a SONG. Instrumental songs are allowed. All songs with lyrics must be in English. 

There is a space to include any extra prompt details that you would love to see incorporated. If you wish, you can also include a maximum rating and any squicks you would prefer not to read/see (for example, Maximum Rating: Explicit. No MCD).  Please note that these are for inspiration only and creators may not fulfil all aspects of your wishes.

We also allow self prompting! You can either prompt the song you wish to write, and then take your chance claiming it (but bear in mind, someone might beat you to it!). Or you can simply wait and submit your self-prompt as your claim when claiming opens.

We allow multiple prompts for the same song as long as the prompts themselves are significantly different to each other. If we receive a prompt twice, one with additional information and one without, we'll remove the prompt without any additional information, even if it was the one submitted first! Therefore, we encourage you to include additional information with your prompts.

➡️ Prompting closes on the 27th of January OR when we reach 300 prompts, whichever comes first. 

➡️ Prompts will be available to view on Saturday 27th OR approximately 48 hours after prompting closes, whichever happens first.

🎶 Claiming:

There is a cap of 80 claims for FIC. There is no cap for ART or PODFICS. Claiming opens on 4th February and will remain open until the 31st May. If we reach our cap of 80 claims for fics, we will close claiming for fics but claiming will remain open for other media.

This is an 18+ fest, and we will require all claimants to confirm that they are aged 18 or over.

Prompts will be awarded on a first come first served basis. 

Please choose your top three prompts when claiming, in order of preference (i.e. your top prompt as prompt choice 1, second choice as prompt choice 2, etc). This is in case your first choice has already been claimed, we can offer you your next preference. However, if you’ve got your heart set on just one prompt, you are welcome to submit the form with just the one prompt! You might be lucky!

You can only claim one prompt at a time. If you finish creating the work for your prompt and have posted it to the fest collection on AO3, you may claim an additional prompt in the normal way, if claims are still open at that time. If you are unsure please email us at [email protected].  

If you claim a prompt and subsequently feel unable to complete the work, please inform us as soon as possible at [email protected]. We understand that life can get in the way! Unfortunately, however, in such circumstances, you won't be eligible to claim a further prompt for 2024.

You will receive an email within 48 hours confirming your successful claim. Please respond to this email within 72 hours to confirm your participation in H/D Wireless.

Writers and Artists: 

Each prompt can be claimed once for fic and once for art.

You may claim for BOTH fic and art at the same time, either as an individual or in a collaboration with another creator. If you are doing a collab please email us at [email protected] to confirm.

Podficcers:

We will be allowing people to enter podfic recordings of fics from previous years of HD Wireless fest. To enable this we have compiled a list of previous Wireless fics where the creator has indicated to the mods that they give permission for their work to be podficced. 

You can access the Podfic Prompt List HERE.

To sign up to create a podfic, please claim the fic you wish to record by completing the claim form.

Each fic can be claimed once for podfic. We will inform you by email if your claim has been successful. You may indicate a second and third choice, on the off-chance that your first choice is unavailable.

We are not accepting podfics of any fics that are not on our podfic prompt list. However, if you see that any author (not on our list) has written a fic for Wireless and who you believe does consent to their fic(s) being podficced (either by having confirmed to you directly, or they have a blanket permission statement on their profile), please email the mods with the name of the author, evidence of the permission, and we will make a determination on a case by case basis.

🎶 Creating:

Fics and art should use the song prompt in some way, but this is very fluid, so feel free to interpret it in your own creative way.

For fics, there is a minimum word count of 1,000 words and no maximum.

All fics must be beta-read (If you are unable to find a beta please let us know), and podfics should be beta-listened for accuracy and audibility before submitting. 

Submissions must be completed works. Please do not submit a draft for a fic that has not been completed (e.g., single chapters of a chaptered work).

All submissions must be in English or include a translation.

We do not accept any works created with AI.

As this is an anonymous fest, all creations must be individual works, and cannot be part of a series, or a prequel/sequel to an existing work. If you are planning to continue the work with either of these, please do not reference this in your creation (including in your creator notes) until after the works are revealed and the fest is over.

❗ Please be aware that AO3’s Terms of Service only allow for ‘short quotations’ from copyrighted materials. For this reason we ask that you be mindful about your usage of lyrics in your creation. For more information, and for links to further information, please see our previous post on the issue HERE. ❗

We encourage you to be inspired by the prompter’s additional details, but these are not required to be incorporated into the creation. You may also wish to take into consideration your prompter’s squicks when creating. This is not a requirement — but we ask that you do not gift the creation to the prompter if you are not taking the squicks into consideration, and as always, be sure to tag your work appropriately.

This fest employs a mixture of both anonymous and non-anonymous posting for creations: All fics are posted anonymously, however for art we allow artists to include watermarks on their creations if they so wish. Podfics will also be posted anonymously, but podficcers are allowed to state their name in the podfic recording itself (not within their notes on the post). Due to the anonymous nature of the fest, we wish to keep all creations completely anonymous until reveals (for fics) or posting (for art and podfic) and as such we do not allow for works to be discussed prior to the relevant reveals. This includes discussing it in a public forum while creating it or while the fest is underway. If you are looking for an alpha or beta reader in a public forum please keep the information provided in public channels to a minimum.

🎶 Submitting:

Once you have completed your work, it’s time to submit! Submissions are due June 14th, but if you are finished before this date, you are welcome to submit early.

Submission Requirements:

You are required to add ‘hd_wireless_mod’ as co-creator when uploading your fic, art or podfic. This is primarily so that we can change the posting date, add in the standard fest end note and a tag for HD Wireless 2024. We will not make any other changes to your work, and we will remove the mod account after reveals.

Add your fic to the hd_wireless collection. All works must be posted directly to the AO3 collection here.

Podfics should be linked to the original work using the AO3 ‘Inspired By’ function, i.e: “This work is a remix, a translation, a podfic, or was inspired by another work” and pasting the URL of the original fic. Please state the title, author, rating and any Major Archive Warnings in the audio intro of the podfic. Any art or images used for cover art should be copyright-free or have the consent of the artist. Any music used within the podfic should be copyright-free.

Please tag appropriately: Be sure to include all appropriate warnings, tag your work correctly and please be mindful while choosing your tags. We enjoy a fun tag as much as the next person, but customised tags may be recognisable to some readers, and give you away. As such we ask that you think very carefully about your tag usage.

Acknowledge your creative team in your notes! We want you to acknowledge the people who supported your creation! This includes alphas, betas, cheerleaders, and anyone else who helped you along the way! However, as this is anonymous, please do not mention these people by name, as this can sometimes be a way that creators can be identified. A good way to do this is to use a pseudonym for them, or simply refer to these individuals with an initial. Please do remember to come back and fill in the real names after reveals!

Please include your song prompt (artist and song) in the creation notes at the beginning of the work to share the inspiration of your work.

Complete the submission header form. We will be sending out a form to complete the header submission. This will be emailed directly to participants with the submission information, however if you finish early please email us to request the link to the form.

The submission form and author note must include the claimed song only, including a link to YouTube. We can not accept Spotify links on the submission form as not everyone has Spotify and we want to make this as accessible as possible.

The below information will be asked for in the submission form. We will acknowledge a successful receipt/submission once the creation has been uploaded and the submission form completed.

The mods will proof all fics and podfics and inform you if there are any additional requirements or suggestions. Please check your emails regularly to see if we’ve sent you a message regarding your work.

Please don't change the date on your creation. The mods reserve the right to remove your work from the collection if we see that the date has been changed during or after the fest.

Your work must remain in the collection for at least six months. If you remove your work from the collection before that, you may be banned from participating in the fest for the following year/s.

🎶 Dropping out:

We understand that life gets in the way and you may not be able to complete your work in time to submit. Or the muse just up and leaves. It happens! If this is the case for you for whatever reason, please let us know as soon as possible at [email protected]. You do not need to provide a reason for withdrawing.

While dropping out is fine, if you ghost us (i.e. fail to respond to our check-ins or communications), we may not allow you back the next year. We understand that things come up, but we expect our participants to show us the respect of responding to our emails, including letting us know if/when they are no longer able to participate.

If you have ghosted us in previous fests, please reach out to confirm your eligibility to participate. If you informed us you were dropping, you're fine. But we need to know that our participants will respond to emails and reserve the right to exclude you from the fest based on past fest behaviour.

Posting will begin on July 1st.

The mods will post your creation on the scheduled day. We do not release the posting schedule in advance as this is subject to change.

Once your creation has been posted please be mindful not to reveal yourself as the creator.

We ask that you do not respond to comments on your creations until after reveals. This is to ensure that you do not identify yourself in your response. Additionally, responding after reveals can be a lovely way for the commenter to find out who created the work they loved so much, and discover your other works!

While we hope that it will not happen, sometimes creations receive negative comments. If you receive a nasty or critical comment, please contact the mods via email asap. We have a process for handling these events, but we will work with you to do so, and only step in to deal with it if that is your wish.

🎶 Further information:

The prompts are not available to be claimed unless you are participating in the H/D Wireless Fest itself. Once we post the final reveals, the prompts are no longer being used by the fest, and if you have found something you are particularly inspired by, please message the prompter to ask for their consent for a work to be created outside of the fest.

For general questions about the fest don’t hesitate to contact the mods at [email protected] (we don't regularly check Tumblr for new messages and asks, so sending an email is the best form of communication). But keep in mind that we're operating in multiple time zones, that we need to eat, and sleep, and take care of real life responsibilities, hence we aren't available 24/7. We will aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Please note that should there be any disputes regarding the interpretation of the rules, the decision of the mods will be final.

General Bang Rules:

Be respectful of all writers and artists. This is an anti-hate platform and any instigators will be removed from this event.

Joining the discord group is not compulsory. However, please give us an email to reach you. If we are unable to contact you, we will consider your application dropped. 

Please be present for all check-ins with the mods. Once you are partnered with an artist, please keep each other updated on your progress as well. If you are having trouble keeping up with the deadlines or any other sort of issues, let all parties involved know so we can try to work something out.

You can and are encouraged to sign up as a beta reader, you CAN NOT beta your own fic.

For Artists:

Any visual arts medium is acceptable- original illustration, manips, cover art, videos, etc.

Minimum 1 art piece for a small bang fic (10k-20k words) and minimum 2 art pieces for a big bang fic ( >20k words). No maximum limit

Artists may withdraw from the challenge at any point up until artist claiming date. If you do not claim a fic. then we will consider you withdrawn at this stage. 

Artists are encouraged to also sign up as pinch hitters- ie, someone that is willing to make more art for another fic should an artist drop out, but this is by no means mandatory. 

NSFW art must be tagged as such. However, please consult with your partnered author and adhere to their requests before creating explicit artwork.

You can post your art on any platform, but please ensure that, in the case of multiple art pieces, each one has a separate link that can be embedded into the posted fic to allow a reader to view the art within the fic

Artists cannot offer their services to other writers taking part in the event for as long as the event is running- you can only create for your claimed author

And a last time: no AI art allowed.

Rules and guidelines

This is for recs of published queer romance and romantic fiction. What does that mean? Romance must central to or a significant part of the story, and at least one of the main characters must be lgbtqa+.

Published works means traditionally published, indie-published, or self-published. This includes free works and works published by authors available through their blogs or websites. It does not mean fanfiction. Fanfiction rec blogs exist already, please use them.

Fiction includes purely prose work as well as webcomics and graphic novels.

Romance means genre romance and also fictional works with a strong romantic element. The difference between the two is that genre romance requires a happy ending or a happy-for-now ending, and romantic fiction does not. This should be made clear in the rec itself under Genre. If the story is part of an ongoing series and the ending is not yet clear, please say so in your recommendation. Erotic romance is also allowed but again, indicate that under Genre.

(e.g. for a genre romance book that is also fantasy, label it Genre: Romance and then add a sub category if you like. If it's a fantasy novel primarily, then label is just Fantasy.)

Lgbtqa+ means queer. It can mean m/m. It can mean f/f. It can mean nb/nb. It can mean an m/f romance with a bi heroine, a trans f/m love story, an aro character finding a life partner and feeling weird internal feelings about it, three ace people falling in love and never having sex, and so on and so forth.

Content tags: You don’t need to list all triggers, as that is impossible. But please at least list any of the obvious ones under "content tags" Suggested content tags would be like: SA, attempted SA, CA, CSA, graphic torture, etc.

Recs can be only a few sentences or a full essay. Just say what you like about it and why you feel others should read it.

This blog is really to help promote the smaller creators, but trad pub is cool too. Just remember to check the blogs tags for the title first because trad-pubbed stuff tends to get recced all the time everywhere and might have been recced already.

Recs must also include a link to the work: the author’s website, Smashwords, Amazon, wherever, but at least one, as well as a picture of the cover. (In the case of art-heavy work, more pics can be used.) Please use alt text for any images.

No self-promotion from authors. No non-romantic genre fiction.

Then & Now is a fest for the All For The Game fandom, accepting fic, art (any medium!) and podfic. 

Our only requirement is that your creations focus on canonverse (either before and during the original timeline — “Then” — or post-canon — “Now”). Otherwise it’s entirely up to you what pairing or pairings (or none at all — your creations don’t have to feature romantic/sexual pairings at all) you want to feature, what length/medium and what rating you want to go for.

TIMELINE

The prompting period will be from July 18th to July 24th, and the prompting list will be available to browse the moment prompts start rolling in.

The sign-up period starts on July 25th. You can either claim a prompt or sign-up with your own idea.

Artists, writers and podficcers will then have until the deadline on October 20th to finish and post their creations.

And FINALLY what we all really want to hear is that posting starts on October 22nd.

Reveals will be up a few days after the last work posts and then we can all finally chat about our creations openly!

PROMPTING

Prompting will open on July 18th, and will end on July 24th.

You can prompt as many ideas as you’d like using our prompting form.

Once you open the form, you’ll be asked for the following info:

- what time period your prompt fits (“Then” or “Now”);

- pairing (if applicable)

- your prompt (this can be as detailed or as vague as you want it to be)

- if your prompt is nsfw (so that creators browsing the prompts can filter those out if they want)

- your ao3 username (optional)

This fest isn’t an exchange so all prompts are there for inspiration in the first place. Creators do not have to include every single detail of a prompt if they pick it, but do have to use the main idea as a starting point for their works. If you leave your ao3 username when prompting, the creators can choose to gift the fic to you, though this isn’t at all a requirement.

Note that if you’re wanting to write your own idea, you don’t have to prompt it and then claim it later. There will be an option for self-prompting once sign-ups open!

SIGN-UPS/CLAIMING

Sign-ups will open on July 25th. We don’t currently have a closing date for claiming.

The sign-up form will ask you for your name, ao3 username and an email we can use to contact you.

You’ll be asked to specify if you’re creating art or fic, and if you’re claiming a prompt or self-prompting.

You can then pick a prompt from the list to claim if that’s what you’re doing, or leave a short description of your idea if you’re self-prompting.

For the sake of the form, podfics count as art. If you’re podficcing, please leave the link to the original fic in the prompt box.

There will also be a box for any questions/comments/concerns.

The prompts left during the prompting period will only be available for claiming once for art and once for fic. 

The option to sign-up as a team (either co-writers or writer+artist) will be available. Co-writers will be asked to sign-up only once, and leave the information that you’re co-writing in the questions/comments/concerns box. Writer and artist teams will be asked to each sign-up individually, but let us know that you are collaborating in the questions/comments/concerns box, too.

Creators will be limited to one prompt only, but you are welcome to pick a second prompt after you finish and submit your first work.

CREATING

Submissions must be completely new and finished works. Unfortunately, this means no sequels for previous fics or comics you may have, and no finishing WIPs you’ve already started posting.

Even though this is an anonymous fest, we understand the rampant issue that is reposting and art stealing, so all artists are allowed to submit watermarked/signed works. You will also be given the option to take part in the fest and post your work to the collection, but for it to be posted after reveals, so it’s never anonymous.

There is no minimum word count for fics. We trust that you know the best way to tell your story, and only ask that your works are tagged appropriately and follow the prompt.

Having your fics beta-read isn’t a requirement, but if you’d like yours beta-read and don’t know how to reach out to a beta reader feel free to ask the modding team and we can get you in touch with someone!

Podficcers are welcome to choose any fic previously posted on Ao3 that fits the Then & Now theme to read/record, as long as the original poster allows for podfics of their work to be made.

As we mentioned before, the fest will be posting anonymously so we ask you to be creative when sharing wip snippets. We trust you to know what would easily identify your fic once it posts and what is vague enough to slip through the cracks ;)

We will NOT be accepting AI-generated art or fic.

DEADLINE; CHECK-INS, EXTENSIONS AND POSTING

We will be emailing every participant during the creation period, but your final deadline for posting is October 20th. You can submit your work as soon as you have it done, though.

You’ll get detailed instructions for posting to the collection via email, and we’ll post those on both tumblr and twitter closer to the posting date.

We’ll be sending every participant a couple of check-in emails, but these aren’t as scary as they sound! We won’t be asking you to show us what you’ve got, or how much you have already. 

If you need to drop out, please don’t hesitate and do not feel guilty. Shit happens, we get it. We only ask that you do it as early as possible, so we can adjust the posting schedule accordingly. If you need a few days past the deadline to finish, we should be able to give people extensions too, so just keep us in the loop.

It is our priority above all that everyone enjoys taking part, so we’re here to minimise stress and worries.

When posting, don’t forget to add AFTG Then & Now 2023 as one of your tags and post your work to the collection — this will make sure it remains anonymous and hidden until we release it out into the world. Please don’t leave any references that reveal who you are before the anon period is over. You can add all your usual social media links, etc. after reveals. 

You can find the collection here, and you’ll be able to find it when posting if you type AFTG_thenandnow on the “Post to Collections / Challenges” section.

There will also be a form to fill in with your name, the title of the work you submitted and the link to the work, that you can fill once you’ve posted. The link to this will be shared with you in the posting instructions email :)

(A little note: after you hit post the work will be hidden in the collection until we reveal it, so the easiest way to get to it should you want to edit or just to copy the link is to go through your stats page.)

But don’t worry, we will be reinforcing all of this as we go along!! This is just so you have all the information in one place!

Once your work posts, remember to change the date to the day it’s posted so it appears on top of the list for your pairing/the fandom. 

We will be giving everyone a few days after the last work posts to catch up, and then FINALLY reveals will happen :) 

If you have any issues at any point, we’re here to help and to answer any doubts or questions. Do keep in mind we all live in different timezones and are unfortunate victims to the capitalist grindset. If you DM/ask/email us, we promise to get back to you ASAP.

Prompting (1-21 March) 

Prompting opens 1 March, midnight, GMT+8 (cross-check with your timezone [tz] here) and closes on 22 March, midnight, GMT+8 (tz cross-check)

You can send in prompts regardless of whether you intend to create for the fest

Submit as many as you like! There are two types of prompts:

1. Any poem (in English or its English translation) for participants to create a work for, of any medium their heart desires (e.g. art and/or craft of any form, fic, moodboard, song/music score, blackout poem, haiku, animation, Tumblr poll etc.)  2. Any prompt for participants to be inspired to write a poem for. It can be as vague/broad (e.g a three word prompt; a scenario; an AU idea) or as specific (e.g. Sestina, any pairing, with line ending words: tear, care, spill, close, dim, tie) as you want 😊

Claiming (opens 24 March)

Claiming will open on 24 March, midnight, GMT+8 (tz cross-check)

Multiple claims of the same prompt are allowed, for both the same and different type of medium. This is especially due to the sheer variety of possible creations. Because of this, we will not be publicly marking any prompt as claimed

Once you fill in the claiming form, and receive Google's auto-response affirming your submission, you can start on your work! The mods will only reach out to you individually if there is anything to discuss regarding your claim; otherwise, there will be no email sent from us, and you can take it that all is fine and just create ✨

If you wish to self-prompt for either type of prompt, please fill in the corresponding claiming form with the necessary details

Collabs are very welcome ❣️
