Tomorrow will be a week without the crew of the PerAspera. I am unreasonably attached to these characters and miss them horribly. Huge thanks to the crew of Rolling With Difficulty. You are amazing people. Whatever you decide to do next, your listeners will be listening with love.
(Side note: Thursday procreate glitches out on me and I lost this whole piece and had to rebuild it from scratch. Here's to procreate's time lapse video feature and tracing your own work.)
this podcast has meant so much to me over the past year. It's the first actual play I've ever listened to and it made me love dnd and want to play it even more than I already had. I am both sad that we're only going to see these characters in one shots, and incredibly excited to see what the next campaign is going to bring. These guys will always have a special place in my heart and I could not think of a better ending for their story
figured I’d sketch Dani’s Disaster Outfit that actually ended up working XD, this is in fact lore accurate, I drew it from the examples they were mentioning while they were describing it so….. yeah. The sleeves would have originally been shoulder pads and have been cut and sewn in place XD
When your simple expression practice gets out of hand and turns into two full sheets of chibis. This always happens and explains why nothing ever gets finished. I guess... reaction emotes anyone? 😅
I. Love. Stray Gods. I love it, and I no longer remember how it occurred to me to make Cressida a Medusa stand-in, I just remember having an epiphany that Dani makes a little too much sense in the role of Grace when you take into account her proficiency in Persuasion, her Fucking Kickass Abilities, and her bonkers high INT stat with her propensity to cut through bullshit and find solutions.
Like. The idea that these primary aspects lie within both of them and it's about the version of themselves they choose to be moment to moment affecting their lives and the lives of the people around them and how it can be so surprising and yet so in line with the both of them to choose violence in one moment and flip into Problem Solving or People Managing mode the next. The gravity well of their personalities and percussive force of their choices fundamentally altering how others interact with them both and the events around them. Do You See? Do You See???
Anyway I feel like @comicaurora would appreciate this. Or at least I hope she will and I'm not being a nuisance.
Photo ID: Digital illustration, depicting Kendal from the webcomic Aurora, and Kyana from the TTRPG podcast Rolling With Difficulty. On top, Kendal (person) is holding Kendal (sword) up in front of him, with his hair flowing to the right side of the picture. Starfire surrounds his hand and the base of the sword. On the bottom, Kyana stands with her back to the "camera" and face to the side but looking to the "camera" and smiling (similar post to the RWD S3 official art). Astral Arms arms out with fists up in a fighting stance. In the center are the words "STARS OUT"/"ARMS OUT" in two different fonts. End ID
Was rewatching RWD's Tales of the Plan escape (to emotionally recover from the finale) and was reminded of possibly my favorite scene in the entire show!
VR-LA's forre into dealing with not just gods, but devils too!
