hi, i'm kay! i'm an english BA & creative writing MA graduate who is opening fic & poetry commissions via my kofi! i have a few different tiers:

fics/original prose is priced at the following: 200 words - £20 1000 words - £50 2000 words - £100 5000 words - £150 (please message me regarding any alternative lengths)

poetry is priced as below: short form (2-3 stanzas/one prose paragraph) - £10 long form (4+ stanzas/two prose paragraphs) - £20 (please note that rhyme schemes are an additional £5)

Most popular multi-chapter fic: I haven’t posted any multi-chapter fic yet 🖤

Favorite story you’ve written so far: Of those that I’ve posted, I would have to say how to destroy an endless circle. I wrote the non-linear narrative mostly by stream of consciousness. It’s imperfect, to be sure, but I really enjoyed layering symbolism and my process to create the 26-or-so scenes. Which...are probably really confusing for the reader. But, I have an idea bubbling around for a second part, so, I like it enough to dare to revisit it and resolve the story in a different way.

Fic you were nervous to post: Everything. Just everything. Even this. But, to single out a fic: one letter to fill my broken heart with gold. It, like my other posted works, was for the SteveTony Games, which created a challenging environment for me to try things I would otherwise have never thought of. I wrote based on a What If universe, and since I’m really only superficially versed in the comics, I just let an over-dramatized vision of Steve run wild with these letters. It was fun to write, but I was nervous to post it because of the characterization, to be sure.

How you choose your titles: I like them to relate to the overall meaning of the fic, and to draw on some form of symbolic imagery. So if I can come up with something weird that accomplishes that, then I’m happy.

Do you outline: My writing process is desperately contingent upon an outline. I’ll start with an idea, or a scene, and write that out as best I can - then come the bullet points. I write out of order so it’s nice to jump around and write what interests me, then have the bullet points to fill in the gaps until I get the whole story done.

Complete: 4 works on Ao3 🎉

In progress: I’m mostly working on multi-chapter fic at the moment, which I’m not comfortable posting until they are completely finished. So, nothing is in progress that is accessible to others.

Coming soon/not yet started: Sooooo many, but, here are the ones that I’ve spent the most time on, and are the closest to being complete/posted:

Untitled ghost story: A no-powers AU where Tony’s a witch. A few years after his parents’ deaths he moves to a small town and into a dilapidated mansion that - surprise! - is haunted. It’s (supposed to be) a horror story but with a soft Steve/Tony falling-in-love plot that just came out of nowhere (but I love it and I’m running with it).

Untitled summer-at-the-coast story: college student Tony has been shipped off to his Aunt Peggy’s house in a sleepy seaside town for the summer, much to his displeasure. He meets the enigmatic local marine biologist (Steve) hellbent on preserving the local ecosystem, and just can’t seem to keep away from him.

Untitled obligatory time travel fic: Steve, alongside Nat and Sam, is sent to the recent past to surreptitiously obtain a significant piece of intel. The only problem - Steve keeps running into a newly bereft Tony Stark, which is a lot for him to handle, because Tony in his time ended their relationship just before he embarked on the mission.

Untitled Sam/Rhodey: Sam and Rhodey get together and fall in love fast, and are quickly presented with the chance to become parents. In an ecstatic scramble to move in together and prepare for the adoption, Sam has to tell his best friend, Steve - who was recently heartbroken and who has no idea about Sam’s relationship.

Untitled bad gift fic: Sam learns of Bucky’s true feelings for him at an Avengers holiday party after he receives an unfortunate gift.

Do you accept prompts: The idea sounds super fun and I would totally do it if one found it’s way to me! But if I’m being honest I’m an incredibly slow writer and would probably get very stressed out trying not to disappoint with whatever I slowly came up with.

Upcoming story you are most excited to write: I’m super close to finishing my Sam/Bucky story and honestly I’ll just be thrilled to finish something - anything - else this year 😭
