You're The Worst | Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Pairing: Touya Todoroki x Reader
Word Count: 875 words
Summary: Paw's and Claw's has a fun staff. However, the nosy bad boy, Touya, loves to pick on you. What will happen when he notices the array of bruises hidden under your sweatshirts? Maybe he isn't so bad after all.
Author's Note: So, this fic idea has been in my mind for a while. I hope everyone likes it. This will be a multi-chapter fic as I don't have a ton of time to write. Oof. Please be patient with me. Also, I inserted my cat Thomas because it's almost been a year since he passed, and I think of him every day. I know. So self-indulgent.
TW: Domestic Violence (Not from Touya), Fem!Reader, Violence in general (There will be a fight, not in this chapter though.), drinking, smoking, cursing. Let me know if I missed anything!

“That looks like shit.”
Good god, I wish he would just shut up. This is the third time today he’s butted into my work.
“No, it looks great Touya. You’re just an ass with shit handwriting. Jealous much?” We looked over my work. The sign looked great honestly. I really outdid myself this time. In delicate script it read “Tom” adorned with little hearts around the name. I put up the sign on Tom’s’ kennel, a large grey and white cat sitting at the farthest possible corner of the kennel away from the door. “Do you have his bio?”
“Of course, what am I? Incompetent?” He made quick work of putting up his bio underneath the name card I made. He typed his up like normal. I gazed sadly at the big tom cat sitting in the cage. “Hey doll, he’ll get adopted. You always get too attached.”
I grimaced at the pet name. He always looks for a way under my skin. However, he took it upon himself to never call me by name. I need to come up with my own for him. Maybe he’ll leave me alone if I come up with something heinous.
“Some of us have hearts, jackass.” Wait, that one fits. Still not original enough. I glanced at him to see him already staring at me. If looks could kill. You would think working in a shelter there would be nice coworkers here. Everyone else was nice. Not this guy. His intimidating look didn’t help his case. Tattoos were everywhere but the one on his face gets the most frowns from potential adopters. The row of flames over his left brow. Wait is that… “Touya, did you redye your hair? You should do a better job of not getting that shit on your skin. You look insane.”
“Why you lookin’ at me so hard? Like what you see?” My face was already showing my irritation before, but now I could feel it twist in disgust.
“No. The hair dye stains are really not doing it for me.” I do a swift 180 degrees and make my way out of the cat room and into the lobby once more. “Hey Toga! Any new applications come in?” Her face lit up as she looked up at me. Her sharp canines stuck out as she smiled.
“(Y/N)! We had one come in for Mochi!” She was practically jumping out of her chair. “Dabi! Come and look at the place!” Touya leaned over the counter and looked down above the monitor as I walked around the desk. It was a beautiful house in suburbia with a huge fenced in back yard. “Mochi will love it, don’t ya think?”
“He’ll love it little vamp.” I said. My eyes hovered over the screen to notice the time. “You should head out. It’s 5:30! You know the boss won’t be happy about you staying over too much.”
Toga pouted, but I was right. Tomura gets so pressed when she stays over. It must be that big brother dynamic. She got up to gather her things for the evening and shut down the computer. “He’ll be fine, but I’ll tell him you guys said hi!” With that she gave me a big hug and skipped towards the door and out to the parking lot. Touya turned and stared at me as soon as he had locked the door. Without saying a word I got to work cleaning the lobby. Working with animals was messy and there was a mix of dog and cat hair being swept up. I heard Touya’s heavy boots moving towards the hallway leading to the dog kennels. I instantly relaxed and continued my chores, completely blocking out my thoughts.
-
“Doll,” My body was on autopilot as I put away the cleaning supplies. “Don’t ignore me doll. It’s time to bail.” I quickly finished putting things up and grabbed my bag. Both our footsteps synced as we made our way to the door. Touya held the door open. “Ladies first.” I could hear the cockiness in his voice. He wasn’t going to get a reaction out of me so late in the day. My car’s taillights blinked as I unlocked it. Today was a hot one. The evening sun was shining on me. I pushed up the sleeves to my sweater and was nearly to my car when I heard Touya’s deep voice closer to me than expected. “That’s a nasty bruise.”
The sweaters I wore for the last 6 months were to avoid these questions. It was no secret Kai, my boyfriend, wasn’t the best guy. His record was a mile long. No one would know he mistreated me, however. Kai made a good show of being a loving boyfriend while also being a piece of shit in every other aspect of his life. He won me over with gifts and treated me like a princess. He said I was his perfect girl. Do men treat perfect girls like this?
“Mind your business.”
Touya’s eyes narrowed. “I’m not a dumbass, (y/n).” With that he got in his black 5.0 mustang and pulled out of the parking lot leaving me standing next to my car.

Two Hearts Make a Whole
Prompt: “Kiss me again, like you mean it.” Photo prompt below.
Summary: NYC Pride is for celebration, and occasionally, long-overdue revelations.
Word Count: 2,001
Tags/Content warnings: Marvel. Stucky. If you have a problem with it, there's the door. SFW. Slight TFATWS spoilers so read at your own risk. Platonic Reader. Two idiots in love. Technically canon-divergent because I'm still in my everyone-is-alive-and-in-this-timeline happy place that I will never ever leave fuck you very much Russo brothers but not AU. Found family. All the feels. Complete and total LGBTQ+ support. Lots of bad language words because #me. Un-beta'd.
Author’s Note: Okay so yes this is technically 4 weeks late for @autumnleaves1991-blog's Writer Wednesday weekly challenge. BUT, it was incredibly important to me to finish this one before Pride month is over. Made it by the skin of my teeth.
Happy Pride, y’all. If you’re out, you’re amazing. If you’re closeted, you’re amazing. However you identify is valid and important. Trans folx are LGBTQ+. Bisexuals are LGBTQ+. Ace folx are LGBTQ+. Anyone who identifies or thinks they may be as queer is LGBTQ+. All are welcome in the family. You have the right to choose your pronouns and we have the responsibility to use them. Live whatever your truth looks like to you and love each other. Love is love is love is love. If your family doesn’t accept you for you, I’m your mom now and I’ve got mom hugs available on demand. Homophobes and TERFS can fuck off and roll in poison ivy. Always punch Nazis. Pride shouldn't be limited to the month of June. And don’t you dare forget that Black and Brown trans women were the ones who rioted at Stonewall, and we owe everything to their bravery. Don’t forget that much of popular ‘gay’ culture was appropriated from Black women. And for more facts about Pride that you should absolutely know, Rawiyah Tariq (@ mammyisdead on Instagram) has a phenomenally good overview.
Tumblr media
“Oh my god.” You gasp loudly. "Oh my GOD. Is that-"
“What?!” Instantly in First Avenger Protective Mode™️, Steve surveys the crowd, wishing he had an actual shield instead of the screen printed one on his shirt. “What is it?”
You gasp again, smacking Sam’s arm repeatedly. “OHMYGOD IT IS HOLY FUCK.”
“First; ow.” Now-Cap rubs his bicep. “Second; clue in the class before Steve has an aneurysm, please.”
Vibrating with excitement doesn’t begin to describe your current state. “HER ROYAL HIGHNESS MISS LEMON MERINGUE IS STANDING RIGHT FUCKING THERE.”
With the finesse of a shampoo commercial, Bucky's dark locks fly as he whips around. “What?!”
“RIGHT THERE RIGHT THERE RIGHT THERE.” You abandon a relieved Sam and latch on to Bucky’s vibranium arm. “Oh my GOD I love her so fucking much.”
“She was robbed, absolutely fucking robbed,” he agrees, craning his neck to get a better view. “Divine Tension’s lip sync was shameful.”
Sam glances at Steve, who is slowly coming out of protector mode. “What the ever-loving hell are they talking about?”
“RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Nat flicks more confetti at both Cap-the-former and Cap-the-current. “They watch it every week.”
“Really, Steven, for a guy with enhanced super senses, you miss a lot.” Tony hefts a bedazzled Morgan higher on his back. The toddler, accompanied by Scott playing air-piano on the ground, sings along with the ABBA song being blasted at full volume through the street. Tony continues as if this is an everyday occurrence. “Why do you think both of your People disappear every Friday evening?”
Ears pink, Steve mumbles something.
“What?!” The only other one with hearing enhanced enough to hear a murmur over the cacophony of several thousand people belting out the chorus of ‘Dancing Queen’ at the top of their lungs, Bucky turns to stare at his friend. “You thought we were datin’?”
Steve’s blush extends down his neck.
You and Bucky stare at each other for a moment before you both collapse on each other, exploding into stomach clenching, thigh slapping laughter.
“I’m gonna guess that’s a ‘no’?” Clint confirms with Nat.
“Oh, a big ‘no’.” She watches affectionately as you and Bucky calm down enough to look at each other, breathe for a second, and both promptly dissolve into hysterics once more. “Like, the biggest ‘no’.”
Sam crossed his arms across his chest, his stoic stance so reminiscent of Steve it’s amusing (as well as a beautiful disparity to the sequined crop top he’s sporting. Oof, those abs.). “How do I not know about this?”
“Because you’re not a former super spy?” The usually-Black-but-today-Rainbow Widow tosses the last of her confetti at Tony, who spins a jubilant Morgan into it. “Or because you and that leggy barista from the lobby coffee shop are too busy playing hide-the-“
“-Baby Shark!” Morgan suddenly shrieks, flailing towards a guy on roller blades wearing a fin and tail (and not much else).
“Yeah,” Nat finishes with a smirk, “Hide-the-Baby Shark.”
Sam flips her a gesture that makes Clint laugh and Bruce sigh.
You and Bucky have finally managed to pull yourselves together. “Oh my god, Steven Grant,” you gasp, wiping tears from your eyes. “That’s the funniest fucking shit I’ve ever fucking heard.”
“Language!”
Steve glares at Tony. “One. Time. It was one. Time.”
Bucky slings his flesh arm around Steve’s shoulders. “Oh, punk. You may have perfect vision now, but sometimes you’re still as blind as you were before.”
Visiortn himself nods sagely. “Humans can be quite unperceptive when it comes to matters of the heart.” Vision casts a fond smile at Wanda, who is using her powers to make Pietro’s tinsel wig fly on and off. “Sometimes you have to look harder to see what’s right in front of your nose.”
A confused frown on that handsome face, Captain Clueless looks at Bucky. “Why do I feel like everyone else knows something that I don’t?”
His bestie sighs deeply. “Because, Stevie, almost everyone else on this planet knows that my tastes tend towards tall, blonde, blue-eyed knuckleheads who have zero sense of self-preservation.”
“And an ass you could bounce a quarter off of,” Scott helpfully supplies.
“And that,” Bucky agrees.
Steve frowns.
You press your palms to your eyes in vexation. “You, Steve. He’s talking about you.” (Seriously, how has this idiot survived for over a century while being so dumb?)
Whatever he was expecting, it was certainly not that. “He-“ The Man With A Plan gapes as he turns to his oldest friend. “You-“
“Me,” Bucky says gently.
Even though you’re slightly surprised that Bucky is going to do this in such a public forum, you can’t help but be so proud of your friend. It has taken a long time for Bucky to believe he deserves to be happy. There are days he still sinks into that dark place, where his inner demons whisper that he should have fought harder against his Hydra captors, and that his past actions were still somehow his fault. Those are the days no amount of baking or Modern Marvels will bring him out of his funk. You, Steve, Sam, and Nat have all held those strong shoulders as they shook with sobs, overwhelmed by the shame and horror at what his hands had done without his consent.
But he’s here. He’s free. And he’s smiling nervously at his best friend.
“I-” Steve is short-circuiting. “Me?!”
“Stevie.” With the kind of tender patience that can only be born of a lifetime of keeping (or attempting to keep) an idiot such as one Steven Grant Rogers from flinging himself headlong into every fight he comes across, Bucky moves his flesh hand to the back of Steve’s neck. His face is full of such soft affection that you almost want to look away for fear of intruding on this suddenly intimate moment. “What do you think ‘til the end of the line’ means, you idiot? You’ve been it for me since I was thirteen-years-old.”
Blue eyes are locked with blue eyes as Steve processes this revelation. “I-” He shakes his head as if to declutter his thoughts. “This whole time?”
“Since the first time I saw that asshole knock you down, and your scrawny ass climbed right back up.” A wry chuckle escapes as Bucky reminices. “You were ninety pounds soaking wet, and you stood there, against a guy who was three times your size, and never waivered for a second. It was magnificent.”
“I don’t like bullies,” is Steve’s quiet response.
Bucky’s grin is adoring. “I know, sweetheart.” He gently strokes the back of Steve’s neck with his thumb. “You’ve always had a heart way bigger than your brain.”
Steve is still back on the first part of Bucky’s admission. “If you’ve felt- if you-” He’s practically pleading. “Why didn’t you say anything then?”
Bucky shrugs, attempting and failing nonchalance. “It was a different time, you know?” He’s uncharacteristically unsure of himself, the subtle waiver in his voice revealing the anxiety born of a lifetime of being forced to hide his truth. “I mean, you remember how it was; you didn’t talk about, no one talked about- about being- about people like...” He swallows thickly.  “And I was so scared you didn’t, that you weren’t-” His voice breaks.
Even though you’ve all been emotionally invested in this love story for years, the entire team respectfully pretends not to listen as the former Winter Soldier quietly admits his deepest secret to his closest friend. It’s enraging as Bucky confesses yet another way he's been a victim of his circumstances, and denied his right to live freely without derision. Once more, you’re awed by his resilience.
“-it was a risk I couldn’t take,” Bucky finally gets out, that stubborn fire back in his eyes. “I couldn’t lose you, Steve. I couldn’t chance it. I could live with just being your friend and only your friend so long it meant you were in my life.”
Stunned silence meets the end of his confession. Steve’s face is impassive, those cerulean eyes uncharacteristically inscrutable.
You can all tell Bucky is heading steadily towards dread and heartbreak the longer Steve takes to respond. You and Sam exchange a look, both ready to intervene if Steve demonstrates any of the abhorrent attitudes that were so prevalent in the society of his youth. It would be completely out of character for him, but...
Finally, Steve speaks. “You’re telling me,” he says, his words slow and deliberate, “that you made me wait ninety-three years to tell me you’ve felt the same way about me as I have about you since the day you picked me up out of that alley?!”
The whole found family breaths a collective sigh of relief as Steve pulls Bucky even closer, broad chest to broad chest.
“Okay, to be fair, you were an ice cube for most of that time and I wasn’t exactly available for a relationship.” Bucky’s grin stands in contradiction to his mullish defense. “But yeah, that’s the gist of it.” There’s the Bucky you all know and love, biting his lip with those perfect white teeth. “Now, punk, I’d really like to kiss you now, but first I need you to say you want me to.”
“You-” Steve’s throat works as he attempts- and fails- to rein in his emotions. “You jerk.”
And then the Star Spangled Man seizes the president of the Sometimes-Former-Assassins Club by his ridiculously perfect face and crashes their mouths together.
At any Pride event, seeing two men kissing is, obviously, to be expected. But seeing The First Avenger and The White Wolf attempting to swallow each other’s tongues is not at all routine. As people realize what is happening, the crowd is whipped into a frenzy the likes of which is usually reserved for the aftermath of sporting events and elections that defeat fascists.
Watching the two men embrace, Scott sniffles loudly. “I’m gonna cry, I’m so happy.”
He’s certainly not the only one. Wanda has a watery smile as she wraps her arms around Vision and Pietro; Pepper, Tony, and Bruce are watching with fond parental energy; you and Sam sandwich Peter between the two of you, grins practically splitting your faces. Even Nat’s eyes look suspiciously shiny and she and Clint sling their arms around each other with platonic affection. And that’s not counting the several thousand people who are cheering for love being love being love being love.
When they finally break their embrace, the Centennial twins are startled to see they’ve collected quite an audience.
“Uh, so…” Suddenly bashful, Steve glances back to his- partner? Boyfriend? Soulmate? Is there a word that can accurately describe two people who have found each other time and again in a world that seems hell-bent on keeping them apart?- his ears practically maroon with embarrassment. For a guy with one of the most-recognized faces in the world, Steve is still incredibly and endearingly uncomfortable with attention. “Buck?”
Bucky seems just as stunned as Steve.
Thankfully, the masses demonstrate the usual support that’s the hallmark of Pride. “LOVE IS LOVE!” someone screams in the crowd. It’s quickly echoed, and chants fill the park.
The attention momentarily off them, the former Winter Soldier and his giant himbo of a soulmate look back at each other. You pretend not to watch through the happiest tears as they embrace again, bringing their foreheads together. The relief they share is palpable, as they’re finally able to show the world- and each other- the love they’ve each hidden for so long.
Bucky’s voice is so soft you have to strain to hear it. “You have no idea how much m’in love with you, Stevie.”
“Pretty sure I do,” Steve answers, bringing a hand up to carefully wipe the tears from Bucky’s face. “‘cause it’s as much as I love you, Buck.”
Bucky's answering grin can only be described as saucy. “Then kiss me again, like you mean it.”
And Steve, for once in his long life, does exactly as ordered.

You open your new group chat first thing in the morning, wanting to check on Soomin and Jimin. Just yesterday, the two had informed you of their concerns separately, both worried over the same thing. Soomin’s mother wanted to hold a small congratulatory celebration for her daughter’s KMLE results, and her subsequent acceptance at Woocheon, so there was going to be a party exclusively for all tenants of the building at the restaurant just next to the cafe.
The two hadn’t worked out their budding acquaintance, as you had practically forced them to greet each other the last time you were at the cafe, so you thought this might be a great way to have them start over their tricky relationship.
As you’ve expected, both of them had even tried to convince you to come, in the hopes that a mutual friend could help diminish the awkward air around them. You’ve declined each of them politely, not wanting to intrude on their little get-together. Besides, (just like you hadn’t forgotten to mention to them), this was the perfect opportunity to get rid of this wall hindering their friendship (to which, both of them had also quite strongly disagreed upon).
A mere three hours after their outpour of sentiments, as you’re rewatching episodes of Dr. Romantic with Chohee, the pair drunkenly call you, requesting a video chat. You’re pretty sure not one of them is aware of what’s happening, especially with Jimin refilling his shot glass every thirty seconds; Soomin speaking gibberish, and Chohee literally teasing them through the screen of your laptop and yet none of them seem to mind a damn thing about it.
So, with hopes that each of them arrived home safely last night, you type in your text message.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
‘What is this place, really?’ you mutter to yourself, slightly regretting your decision to take the subway instead of a cab. You only ride taxis for places you’re not familiar with (such is the case with today) but you didn’t want to spend twice as much solely for transportation so you took the train to the building.
Now you feel lost. You’ve just gone to the main entrance of the building, but there was scaffolding barring the entrance, and now you’re struggling to look for Entrance B with the singular tarpaulin saying “Please use Entrance B” and a faded arrow below pointing to the left. After a grueling ten minutes of asking people for directions and walking all over the place, you finally find Entrance B and hurry on your way inside.
There’s already a small crowd forming where the directions for the processing of your license is posted, and you can’t seemingly read the directions all the way down with people clearly taller than you blocking the way.
“What’s the matter? Can’t see the directions, smally?”
Your instant recognition of his voice makes you hang your head low. You figure there’s no way you can get rid of this guy anytime soon.
“Hello, Jungkook.”
Why is it that he’s always there wherever you are? He couldn’t be stalking me, could he?
Jungkook almost spits his water on the girl in front of him. Oh, so he heard your thoughts then. “Yeah, you wish, woman. I wouldn’t do that even if you had one million strapped to your neck.” You roll your eyes at him.
“Wasn’t asking for any conditions for you to do that, but thanks for letting me know your thoughts.”
“Awh, you mad, babe?” Shaking your head at him, you try to continue peering over everyone’s shoulder to check the post. “If it makes you feel any better, I would for two million though.”
You were just about to retaliate with a smart comment, but you see a girl walking towards Jungkook while twirling her hair with her newly manicured fingers. “Jungkook-oppa, you’re here!” she says, hooking her arm on his elbow.
Ah yes, it’s the same brat that kept defending Jungkook’s ass during the KMLE exam. “Why don’t you come with us? My mom works here,” her voice gets down to a whisper, but loud enough for you to hear. “If you come with us, you wouldn’t have to fall in line, then maybe we could have lunch together.
Jungkook removes her hand from his, “No thank you, I’ll just wait here.”
“With her?”
The audacity of this bitch.
“Yes, with her.” Jungkook says, not skipping a beat. “She’s...better company.” Oof, that’s gotta hurt.
You try not to show much of your currently soaring pride on your face, but you can’t help but clear your throat as a terrible disguise for a snort. The girl becomes silent after that, with most of her friends trying to control their facial expressions after Jungkook’s reply.
“Fine then, your loss,” she says with a flip of her hair, then makes her exit.
You're unsure what to do now as the girl has already left, and you’re also not sure if you’re entirely happy about being left with Jungkook now. “Why didn’t you go with her? Could’ve saved you a lot of time considering the people here.”
Jungkook clenches his jaw, as if in thought. “I don’t like cheating. I believe that there’s a different value in the reward that comes with something you worked hard for.”
You’re surprised. You really hadn’t expected this kind of quote, coming out of Jungkook out of all people, but you find yourself nodding as he speaks, quite impressed that you share the same principles.
As the crowd starts to disperse, you and Jungkook finally get your turns to take a look at the poster. “Is it often?”
“What is?”
You point a thumb backwards towards where the girl had gone to, “Having girls throw themselves at you all the time?”
“Oh that,” Jungkook chuckles, then gives you a lopsided smirk, “Yeah, that. Hadn’t realized being this hot was so tiring.” Squinting your eyes at him, it then again dawns on you that you shouldn’t even have asked him that sort of question at all.
“You know,” he says, nudging your shoulder with his, “I’m quite jealous of you really,” your brows crease together. This can’t be good. “At least you don’t experience all of that, cause you know…” he says, gesticulating his hands over his face.
He did not just insinuate that you were not...attractive at all. Huh. This bastard can wait for his license alone then.
“Goodbye, Jungkook.”
“Hang on! ________, wait! I was just messing with you,” Jungkook laughs, running after you.
Tumblr media
The cashier is already scanning the last items on your grocery list by the time Jimin and Soomin had texted you that they were done with their licenses, and you three had agreed on meeting up by the mall’s concierge. It doesn’t take long before you all decide on having Italian for dinner, after seeing the restaurant nearest to where the concierge was.
“Wait, it took you guys only half an hour?” you exclaim, recalling how you had to endure at least more than an hour with Jungkook as you waited for your licenses to finish. Thankfully though, the latter had other errands to run so you two parted ways as soon as you got your IDs.
Jimin, always the gentleman, offers to get your group the utensils as well as a few condiments and spices you might need with your meals. “Soomin-ssi, do you know anybody else who’s going to Woocheon too?” he says, setting the silverware atop the napkins.
Soomin thanks Jimin for the thoughtful gesture, sending a small smile his way. You squeal inwardly, wanting to know what happened last night for them to interact like this. “Um, also, I’m not so sure about the others who will be attending Woocheon too...I only got a glimpse of the list, sorry.”
“Ah, no worries about that. So, how was the dinner party last night?”
The two glance at each other, seemingly communicating with their eyes. Oookay, what’s going on between these two? What exactly happened last night? If they wanted to be alone, they could’ve just said so…
“It was fun,” Jimin initiates, plastering  what seems to be a painfully wide grin on his face. Soomin nods along with him as she adds more, “Honestly, I don’t remember much about last night, but I do recall Jimin calling me ‘sajangnim’ the whole night. And I told him to not call me that, but Jimin here is a stubborn man.”
“Yeah, you complained about that too last night,” you laugh, cutting your garlic bread into pieces. “Wait, what?” Jimin squints his eyes at you, “Were you there last night? How did you....”
“I’m guessing you both don’t remember calling me last night too, didn’t you?”
“We did?!” they say in unison, making your eyes go wide. “Did I do something stupid?” “Please tell me I didn’t say something I shouldn’t have?”
“Hmm, well, it was quite the conversation last night,” you tease them, wanting to see how far this can go, “plus Chohee was there too so I have another key witness.”
“What?” Jimin squeaks, lips pressing into a thin line, “what’s the key witness for?”
“That, my friend, is up to you to remember and figure out.” You give each of them a wink, before turning your attention back to your pasta.
Tumblr media
Transferring all your groceries to one hand, you fish your keys from your purse, shaking it lightly to hear its jingle as you blindly course your fingers through your bag. As the elevator doors open, you see your neighbor down the end of the hall, trailing after a man.
Ayoung hears the elevator bell ding and turns to your direction. She excitedly points her thumb to her back, mouthing ‘new tenant’ to you. She keys in her code and lets the guy in first. The moment he’s inside, she leans by the doorframe and whispers how hot the guy actually was and how much of a lucky neighbor you were going to be.
You shake your head at her, leaving Ayoung to entertain her guest. Of course, not forgetting to pray that she manages to score you a hot man next door.

The New Addition
by: mldrgrl rating: PG-13 Summary: Hanella welcomes a guest for the weekend
Even more rare than a call from Becca was a FaceTime.  Texting was more her style.  So, when Hank picked up his phone and saw the incoming video call, he answered immediately.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“That’s how you answer your phone?” Becca said.  “Why does something have to be wrong?”
“Many apologies, Daughter, but the infrequency with which you grace us with your face from a remote location are rare as natural breasts on a porn star.”
“Do you think that’s an appropriate thing to say to a daughter, Father?”
“Fuck no, but surprise calls make me nervous.  What’s up, Kitten?”
“Don’t ever call me that again.  Is Stella there?”
“Yeah, I think she was grading some exams or something, hang on.”  Hank turned away from the phone and leaned over the sofa to try to see down the hall to the back room she was using as a study.  “Stella!  Stelllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
“Oh my god, why are you screaming at her?” Becca said.
“I like to take the opportunity to rehearse my Stanley Kowalski impression when I can.  Here she comes.”
Stella came down the hall with her hands on her hips and her brows raised.  Hank held his phone up so she could see Becca on the screen and she immediately dropped her hands from her hips and softened her brows, but she quickened her step.
“Becca, darling,” Stella said.  “What’s the matter?”
“This is why I only text,” Becca said.
“Well, if you called more, we wouldn’t think shit had hit the fan somewhere.”
Hank opened up his arm as Stella came around to the sofa and sat down.  She leaned against him and he adjusted his grip on the phone so they were both in the frame and so that she could also see Becca.
“I have someone I want you to meet,” Becca said.
“How the hell did you meet someone during a pandemic?” Hanks asked.  “Oh my god, are you online dating?  You know those people usually turn out to be serial killers.”
“Dad!”
“Darling, don’t worry, it’s still statistically a very low probability even if related crimes have been on the rise.  Give me his name and social security number and I’ll run a background check.”
“Or her,” Hank interjected.  “We’re still holding out hope she’s a lesbian.”
“This is the last time I am ever calling you,” Becca said.
“Does your mother know about this guy?”
“Or girl,” Stella added.
Becca sighed and rolled her eyes.  She leaned down and tilted her phone at the same time so the view was of her ceiling and then she came back into frame with a small, brown poodle.  “This is Ziggy,” she said.  “A friend of a friend of mine was giving away her dog’s puppies and I picked him up this morning.”
“Lovely,” Stella said.  “He’s very handsome.”
“I haven’t even met him, but I guarantee this is my favorite guy you’ve ever introduced me to,” Hank added.  “Now you’ll be far too busy for online dating.”
“I’m not online dating, but I’m wondering if you can do me a favor?”
“What’s the favor?”
“Next month I have the writer’s retreat scheduled upstate.  It’s just for a long weekend, Friday to Monday, can you watch Ziggy for me?  He’ll probably be housetrained by then.  Maybe.  Hopefully.”
“Of course,” Stella answered, as Hank also said “Not a chance.”
Becca grimaced slightly.  “It’s just that I’d really rather not have to put him in a kennel.  I guess I can call Mom and see if she can pick him up, but it’s so far.”
Stella squeezed Hank’s knee.  “You don’t need to call Karen,” she said.  “We would love to watch him.”
“Fine,” Hank said.
“Thank you.”  Becca smiled and held the dog closer to the phone.  “Ziggy says thank you as well.”
Hank ended the call and then turned to look at Stella.  She tipped her head back to look at him as well.  He tried to scowl and she smiled.
“Why did you say no?” Stella asked.
“Why did you say yes?” he countered.
“I asked you first.”
“I asked you second.”
“Because I don’t see a reason to say no.”
“Because I got her a dog once and where do you think that dog is now?”
“I wouldn’t know, where is it?”
“I have no fucking idea, that’s the point.  I went through all the trouble to steal the little fucker from the boyfriend of this woman I was...uh, actually it’s irrelevant how I acquired the dog, let’s just say I got a dog for Becca and fuck if I know what happened to the late, great Cat Stevens.”
“What in the world does Cat Stevens have to do with it?”
“That was the dog.”
Stella patted Hank on the knee and then tried to get up from the couch, but Hank pulled her back down.  “I have to grade papers,” she said.
“I just wanted to make sure you knew about the naked shower party I’m having tonight.”
“Wouldn’t any shower party be naked by virtue of being a shower party?”
“That’s a very good point, Sherlock.  I’d revise the invitation, but I’d rather just be redundant.”
“Mmhm.”  She pushed on his knee and this time he let her up.  “Text me the details, I need to get back to grading.”
“What, like a dick pic?” he called after her.
She glanced over her shoulder at him with one eyebrow raised.  He waited until she was back in the study to unbutton his jeans.
*****
Becca dropped the dog off on a Friday morning, bright and early.  Stella was awake to prepare for one of her classes, but Hank was still asleep.  He didn’t hear the drop-off, but when he woke up and wandered into the kitchen to make coffee, he tripped over the dog, stubbed his toe, and shouted a ‘motherfucker’ so loud he was pretty sure he was going to get scolded for it later.  The dog ran away.
“Yeah, you better run,” Hank mumbled, limping to the coffeemaker.  “Fuck.”
Stella startled him not a minute later when she smacked him on the ass.  He jumped and rubbed at his stinging backside, turning to her with a pout.  She was holding the dog in her arms and it was whimpering and holding on to her neck with its head turned away from him.
“What was that for?” he grumbled.
“First, for shouting expletives whilst I was on a lecture.”
“I’m sorry, Sherlock, I didn’t mean to.  Did they hear me?”
“No, fortunately, I was on mute.  There are student presentations today.  Which I must return to.”
“The damn dog tripped me and I stubbed my toe.  It might be broken.”  He leaned against the counter and lifted his foot up to show her his foot.  “See.”
Stella reached out and took a light hold on his toe.  He made a face at her and she gave it a rough tug to which he yelped and pulled his foot back.
“You’re fine,” she said.
“You’re mean.”
“Please don’t make enemies with Becca’s dog for the weekend.”
“He started it.”
Stella handed the dog over to Hank and gave it a scratch on the head before she walked away.  “I put the instructions on the refrigerator,” she said.  “Give them a read and then make yourself useful and take him for a walk.”
Hank pulled a sheet of instructions out from the magnet on the refrigerator and read through them.  They were very detailed.  Too detailed.  He wanted to crumble them up into a little ball and burn them.
“Ridiculous,” he said to the dog.  “When we left Becca with the babysitter the only unwritten rule was just not to kill her.  You’re a dog, you should be pretty self-sufficient.  Just don’t piss on the rug and don’t shit in any of my shoes and we’ll get along fine.  Deal?”
The dog twisted and wriggled in Hank’s arms to be put down and so Hank put him on the floor.  The dog sat down and then lifted a paw to scratch at Hank’s knee.
“Make up your mind, Zig.  Up or down, what do you want?”
The dog barked once and then sneezed.
“I don’t speak canine.”
Ziggy whined softly and pawed at Hank’s knee again.  The coffeemaker beeped behind Hank and he turned around to shut it off.  He poured the coffee into a travel mug and left the cap off so it could cool a bit.
“Okay, Stella says you need a walk,” he said.  “I need to put some pants on.  Don’t lay anywhere where you blend into the floor.  I need my toes.”
The dog followed Hank into the bedroom and immediately jumped on the bed.  Hank shooed him off and undaunted, he explored from corner to corner, sniffing the walls and the furniture and the clothes on the floor.  Hank snatched up the jeans Ziggy was nosing and put them on.  He grabbed a fresh t-shirt from the closet and then went to dig through a duffel bag that Becca left for the dog’s leash.
It took Hank several attempts at getting the harness onto the dog.  Number one, because he kept stepping out of it as soon as Hank got it on one foot.  Number two, because he initially put it on backwards and didn’t know how the clip could possibly work when it was under the dog’s chest.  He finally figured it out though and it seemed secure.  He grabbed his keys, his wallet, a mask, and the coffee and headed to the elevator.
The half an hour walk with Ziggy made Hank understand the meaning of the term ‘boundless energy.’  If it wasn’t for the coffee, he couldn’t be sure he’d have made it.  When they got back, he unclipped the dog from his harness and even though it felt like they’d just run a marathon, Ziggy dashed across the room and hurdled himself onto the sofa where Stella was now sitting.  To Hank’s surprise, Stella laughed as she dodged excited kisses from the dog and didn’t scold him at all or tell him to get down.
“I am exhausted,” Hank said, collapsing onto the sofa beside Stella.  He grimaced and let out a pained ‘oof’ as the dog stepped on his crotch and up onto his chest.  “Fuck me, this dog is trying to kill me.”
“Have a nice walk?” Stella asked.
“That thing had to piss every five feet and terrorize all the squirrels and pigeons in the neighborhood.”  Hank pushed Ziggy away when he tried to lick his chin and the dog laid down on his chest, panting hot and heavy in his face.
“How’s your toe?”
“What toe?  Oh.  Not broken, I guess.”
“Lovely.”
“He is a total chick magnet though,” Hank said, waggling his eyebrows at Stella.  “Ladies were flocking to me like flies to honey.  Almost got a few numbers.”
“Oh?”
“Don’t worry I told them my wife would kick my ass before she let me take a hot girl’s phone number.”
“I think I might join you for this afternoon’s walk.”
Hank chuckled and nudged Stella’s leg with his knee.  “Kidding, Sherlock.  Some kid did ask me if Ziggy had an Insta and then had to explain to me that any dog who’s anydog has an Instagram account and we should get on it the sooner the better if we want him to be a doggie influencer.”
“A what?”
“That’s what I said.”
“Looks like you have a new nap partner.”  Stella inclined her chin towards the dog, who had dropped his head down to Hank’s shoulder and let out a deep sigh as his eyes closed.  She smiled a little and stroked the dog’s back a few times.
“I didn’t know you liked dogs so much,” Hank said.
“More of a cat person, really.  I don’t mind them though.”
“Did you read that list Becca left?  It’s more complicated than the Treaty of Versailles.”
Stella chuckled.  “It is a rather overly complicated schedule.  For a dog.”
“I say fuck the list.  I kept her ass alive for the requisite 18 years without a list, I can probably handle a dog for a weekend.”
“Tell that to Cat Stevens.”
“Oh yeah.  Wherever the fuck he is.  Okay, maybe we better stick to the list.  Though I would like to point out, Cat was Becca’s dog.”
“Maybe that’s why she made a list this time.”
*****
Ziggy was sound asleep when Hank turned off the lights in the main room.  The dog was passed out on his back, in his bed beside the couch, tongue lolling out of his mouth.  Hank tiptoed past him into the bedroom and quietly shut the door.  Stella was in the bathroom brushing her teeth.  He came up behind her and pressed her into the counter with his hips, sneaking his hands up her shirt to massage her breasts.
Stella grunted slightly through her nose and pushed her hips back into Hank’s.  She put her hand up to hold her hair back and Hank pulled his hands out from her shirt to do it for her.  She leaned over to spit into the sink and he held her hair with one hand and stroked her neck with the other.
“Thank you,” she said.
Hank finger-combed Stella’s hair up into his fist at the top of her head while she wiped her mouth and then he let it go and rubbed her shoulders.  She turned around and he held her by the hips.
“Where’s the dog?” she asked.
“Outside smoking a cigarette.”
“Do you think he should go outside once more?”
“He’s dead asleep.  He was like…”  Hank imitated the dog, rolling his eyes back and sticking his tongue out of the side of his mouth.
“You’re the one that was worried about him urinating on the rug.”
Hank pouted his lips and then nodded.  “Fine, I’ll take him upstairs.  But, you better be naked when I come back, or else I’m sleeping on the couch with the dog.”
“I don’t think that’s the threat you believe it to be.”
Hank narrowed his eyes and pinched Stella’s hip before putting his mouth to her neck and nipping lightly at the back of her jaw.  She laughed and pushed at his chest until he let her go.  He playfully slapped at her backside on the way out of the bathroom and she swatted his hands away.
The dog was still sleeping when he opened the door, but he whistled softly and Ziggy startled to his feet and then shook himself.  “Come on, hairball, we’re going outside.”  He snapped his fingers a few times and the dog followed him to the door to the roof.
Ziggy was hesitant on the stairs, taking them slowly and pausing every few steps to get his footing as he hopped up.  He ran around the newly landscaped deck, sniffing just about every nook and cranny and lifting his leg on half of them.  It had gotten chilly since the sun went down and Hank, in bare feet and a t-shirt, hopped up and down a few times and rubbed his arms as he called the dog back.
Hank was forced to carry the dog down the stairs when he wouldn’t budge from the top.  He made a few false starts, but ultimately sat down and wouldn’t move.  When he put him down, Ziggy stared up at him and then stayed closed to his legs as he went back to the bedroom.
“You, stay,” Hank said, pointing to the dog bed.
Ziggy sat down next to the bed.  Hank closed the door.  Stella was sitting up in bed, reading a magazine or journal, which she set down on her lap and took her reading glasses off.
“Did you really think that’s going to work?” she asked.
“He’s fine.”
Before Hank even finished, Ziggy was yelping and scratching at the door.  Stella raised her brows and Hank sighed.  He opened the door and the dog came flying through, jumped on the bed and leapt onto Stella with his paws on her chest, wagging his tail and kissing her cheek and chin.
“Settle, darling,” Stella said, turning her face away and pushing the dog back.  He gave a whining bark as he dropped down.
“Do they make ritalin for dogs?”
“He’s just a baby.”
Hank kicked the dog bed into the bedroom and then pushed it against the wall with his foot.  “Go get in your bed,” he said.
Ziggy laid down where he was, next to Stella.  He put his head on his paws and lifted his eyes up at Hank.
“Now he’s giving me puppy dog eyes,” Hank said.
“Shockingly, I believe that’s where that term came from.”
“Well, I don’t like it.  It’s too effective.”
“Resign yourself to the fact that we have a little guest for the weekend.”
Hank grumbled under his breath as he went to the bathroom to get ready for bed.  He stripped to his jockey shorts and snapped off the overhead lights on his way back.  Ziggy looked up from beside Stella like Hank was the intruder.  He even had the audacity to give a little growl when Hank leaned over to give his wife a kiss.  Annoyed, Hank flopped onto his back and the dog scooted closer and rested his head on his arm.
“Oh, now you want to be nice,” Hank said, reaching over to scratch the dog on the head.  “I’m surprised Becca hasn’t called.”
“What do you mean?”
“To check up on the dog or let us know she made it to the retreat.”
“She’s been texting me all day.”
“What?  What did she want?”
“Checking up on the dog.”
“She doesn’t trust us?”
“You didn’t question her motivations five seconds ago when you were surprised she hadn’t called.”
“I like to be fickle to keep you on your toes.”
Ziggy sighed and squirmed until he was on his back, all four paws limp in the air.  Stella chuckled and rubbed his chest before she closed her magazine and tossed it onto the nightstand.
“We’re letting this thing stay up here, then?” Hank asked.
“Yes.”
“I think I’m more of a cat person too.”
*****
Hank was surprised that the dog was no trouble during the night.  He woke briefly when Stella, always an early riser, got up and said she was going to take Ziggy for his morning walk and when she got back, would be entering in project results into her electronic gradebook for a bit.  He grunted in response and mumbled a reminder to leave him some coffee.
When he finally woke fully, left the bedroom far more cautiously than he had the previous morning.  Ziggy was nowhere to be found, but as soon as he started puttering in the kitchen, the dog appeared.  Hank crouched down and gave him a few scratches.
“What were you up to, hm?” he asked.  “Getting into trouble?”
Ziggy followed Hank as he went to the bedroom, most likely interested in the piece of toast in his hand.  Hank held the toast between his teeth, wiped his hands on his jeans, and picked up his phone from the nightstand to text Becca.
Morning sweetheart.  The furball is good.  Not to worry.  Haven’t shipped him off to a kennel yet and probably won’t.  Have a good time at the retreat.
Hank took a bite of his toast and then tore a piece off and tossed it to the dog.  Ziggy caught it mid-air.  About thirty seconds later, he heard Stella calling his name and he snapped his fingers at the dog to get him to follow him out of the bedroom.
“What’s up?” Hank asked, and shoved the rest of the toast into his mouth.
“What did you say to Becca?”
“Hm?” he mumbled, mouth full.
“She just texted me and said you’ve implied the dog has been sent to a kennel and wants proof of life.”
“No I didn’t,” he said.  “I said I haven’t sent the dog to a kennel so she doesn’t need to worry.”
“Why would you say that to her?”
“So she wouldn’t worry.”
“Well, she’s worried.”
“That’s not my fault.”
“I’ll send her a photo.  Ziggy, come here, darling.”
Stella kissed the air a few times, but Ziggy thought trying to be caught was a game.  He bounded away from Stella and then stopped and bowed down, his hind end in the air and tail wagging.  She patted her knee for him to come, but he just jumped a few feet to the left and went back into the same pose.
“I’ll get him.”  Hank started towards the dog and Ziggy barked and then ran to the kitchen.  Hank ended up chasing him around the butcher’s block several times before he was able to catch him, but keeping hold of him was difficult.  “Stay still, Zig.”
Stella knelt down and quickly opened the camera on her phone.
“What’re you doing?” Hank asked.
“Taking a photo.”
“A selfie?”
“Do you have another suggestion?”
“I don’t know, I don’t do selfies.  Unless they’re dick pics.”
“Yes, I am aware, but we won’t be sending your daughter a photo of your penis.”
“Well hurry up, this guy is a bitch to hold onto.”
“Smile, darling.”  Both Stella and Hank smiled as she held down the photo button, but Ziggy wriggled and squirmed.
“Anything usable?” Hank asked, setting the dog free.
“A little blurry, but they should suffice.”  Stella got up and texted the photos to Becca.  “She says thank you, and for you to never fucking text her again.”
“Brat.”
“You started it.”
*****
The day passed.  They took the dog to the park.  He napped when they got back.  Hank worked on his book.  Stella worked on a report for her class.  In the evening, they lit a fire in the new firepit on the roof and cuddled up on the daybed with the dog between them.
“Should we get a cat?” Hank asked.
“Do you want a cat?”  Stella countered.
“Not really.”
“Me neither.”
“It is kind of nice having this little hairball around though.  Not that I want him to stay.  He’s also annoying as fuck.  But, nice to have around.  For an hour or two.  When he’s asleep.”
“Kind of like you.”
“Hey!”
Stella laughed and Hank pushed her down onto the bed, rising to his knees to lean over and nuzzle her neck.  It was a ticklish spot for her, especially when caressed lightly, and it made her laugh harder.  Ziggy barked from where he was wedged beside Stella and under Hank.  He wiggled out from under them and then jumped on Hank’s back with his front paws, barking and growling.
“Relax, man,” Hank said, rolling to one hip off of Stella.
“He’s being a good protector,” Stella said, laughing when Ziggy nipped at the blanket over their legs and tried to pull it away.
“He’s being a cockblocker.”  Hank wrestled the blanket back from the dog and then grabbed him under the chin, giving him a few firm scratches.  “You know what, Zig?  You be a cockblocker.  You be the best cockblocker you can be, at Becca’s place.  Cockblock the shit out of Becca, okay?”
Ziggy barked and wagged his tail.
“Good boy,” Hank said.  “Good little cockblocker.”
“Don’t say that to him,” Stella said.
“Why not?”
“One day you will need to face the fact that your daughter is a grown woman who deserves a healthy sex life.”
“Oh my god, I’m going to throw up.”  Hank groaned and flopped down onto the bed with his arm over his eyes.  “Consider me officially cockblocked.”
Stella moved up onto her hip this time and put her arm over Hank’s chest.  She kissed his chin and then pulled his bottom lip between her teeth.  He grabbed her around the waist and grunted softly into her mouth.  Ziggy trampled the both of them and stuck his cold nose into Hank’s cheek.
“Gah!” Hank groaned.
The licked furiously at the both of them and Stella released Hank’s lip with a laugh and a scrunched face.  She buried her head down into Hank’s neck while curling into his side and Ziggy tried to wedge his snout down to keep licking her face.
“We are officially never, ever, ever, ever getting a dog,” Hank said.
“No argument from me,” Stella answered, sliding away from the dog and Hank and stepping off the bed.  “Meet me downstairs and I guarantee you won’t be cockblocked.”
“Oh?”
“Naked shower party for two in ten minutes.”
“The naked is redundant!” he called after her as she walked away.  He waited until she had started down the stairs to take Ziggy’s face in his hands.  “Listen.  This is a cockblock free zone, you got that?  Keep it up and you just may end up like Cat Stevens.  We good?”
Ziggy gave a short, gruff bark and then lifted his paw.  Hank nodded and they shook on it.  He got up and let Ziggy explore the roof for a few minutes while he folded the blanket up and put out the fire.  Not for long though.  He had a naked party to get to and he didn’t want to be late.

my thoughts on young royals, a sequel (there are gonna be many annoying and pointless sequels): episode 2
YOUNG ROYALS’ SPOILERS AHEAD !!
• i’m glad to announce i now know my future wife’s name, madison mccoy. she’s so funny though and her outfits are so cool.
• oof when august and the other guys kept pushing wilhelm to stand on the chair and admit he’d hooked up with someone in the party and he started nervously laughing i felt kinda bad for him bc what was he supposed to say?
‘oh, no august. i didn’t hook up with anyone. i was too busy drunkenly and longingly staring at my crush who is very much a man and who i might be very much attracted to’?
it would’ve been funny though.
• that outfit in the intro. yeah, you know which one i’m talking about. i need more of that. i need more of those little stupid sunglasses. and how he stood up with his books and all.
• when felice left her friends to walk with wil to their next class and her friends just went ‘i mean we have the same next class bestie but go off i guess’ i lost it
• okay hear me out because their classrooms are so cute. they’re so mall and aesthetic and they just look so comfy? what is up with that
but the fact they have to stand up every time the teacher comes in just seems too strange to me. it’s just bc we’d never do that where i live but i couldn’t keep a straight face doing that. and bro, if i just sat down i’m sure as hell not getting back up because you came in.
• oh my god when sara took some pictures of felice with her horse and felice just thanked her looking all soft and shit, i ate that shit up (i adore their friendship and how it develops as the show goes on and i’d love it if they got together in a second season)
• i also loved when they’re finishing the rowing training (i think that was what it was) and wil starts giving simon some advice about it bc wilhelm went ‘oh, yea. flirting is not about pick-up lines anymore. it’s about unasked advice about rowing. thats what i call romance’. and honestly? good for him.
• plus wil not wanting to go to morning training but straight up sprinting to go when he saw simon was there? we love to see it. and how they just kept looking at each other the whole time (doing the planks and stuff)? that was everything.
it’s all about the looks. im telling you.
• and then when all the girls are studying/doing homework together and so are wilhelm and simon was so cute. plus i liked the background song.
and once again it was the little looks between them. those little glances wil was giving simon.
(yes i’m going to keep ignoring august’s whole relevance in most scenes bc i just don’t like him and he’s a little bitch)
but i will say it was very nice when my wife madison said ‘fuck you, august’. it was music to my ears.
• when wil messaged simon and immediately put the phone away bc he didn’t want to look, that was very much relatable. yes, i do that.
• it’s really nice how they actually feel like teenagers, in the way they act and talk. it feels very awkward and very relatable. for example when wilhelm and simon meet to go to the match and they just look at each other silently and then they both go ‘how are you?’
• and when ayub teases simon because he likes wilhelm and it’s so obvious to him, that was so sweet. plus when they’re all cheering for rosh,,, too wholesome
• one of my favorite scenes is definitely that scene where they’re all riding the motorbikes and wilhelm and simon keep trying to hold hands or just brush hands bc it’s so sweet and pure and fun. 10/10 loved it would do it again would watch it on repeat forever
• simon going back home after hanging out with wil and his friends all giddy and excited and telling sara about it melted my heart
• also this might be random but i really like the format(?) they use to show the messages on screen bc sometimes in many shows it’s just cringey but i liked it in this one
• i like the aesthetic of the library in the school. it’s a really pretty shade of green
• august: *giving a weird speech about simon and kissing his forehead*
wilhelm: oh, man. i don’t know what’s going on but you’re one crazy ass bitch
it was very much random and i loved how wil just lost it and how he and simon were looking at each other like ‘is this shit really happening? are you seeing what i’m seeing?’. august is an asshole but he’s so extra and it’s funny sometimes
• their pinkies touching during the film, the looks, the shyly holding hands had me screaming. that’s romance.
• but when wil leaves the room bc sara caught them holding hands and he’s doing his nervous tic (chewing on his thumb or biting it) and he looks at that plaque (?) that says they’re responsible for the legacy of the school or some shit like that it felt very ironic. bc i feel like what wil struggles with is the fact that if he’s with a man then he can’t have biological children and all that stuff about not being able to carry on the legacy.
and maybe i’m just reaching or misunderstanding the scene but then when you can see his anxiety is getting worse and he’s rubbing his chest i just felt like ‘yea, buddy. it’s rough, isn’t it?’ bc i think that sometimes it’s more difficult realizing you’re not attracted to the opposite gender than it is admitting you’re attracted to the same one (bc if you’re still attracted to the opposite one then you could have a “straight” relationship and stuff yk)
well that got deep huh
• once again i’m back on my bullshit, the looks in the first kiss scene. i live for the looks (though wil really looked ready to run for his life).
i just realized simon was wearing a looney tunes t-shirt in that scene. i love his graphic t-shirts.
okay it really isn’t my fault these are getting so long, each episode lasts 40-50 min and that’s a lot

1, 12, 16, 18, 20, 26, 39, 46, 59 (gimme all the recs), 63, 69 (SORRY THERE'S SO MANY OMG)
it is adorable that you continue to apologize for always sending me approx 42 asks per ask 😂 i expect nothing less haha
1. What made you start the show?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^THIS! I *think* the culprit is @zainclaw who i followed for sterek edits and fic and his buddie reblogs got me. But Buck & Chris is what did me in.
12. Favorite storyline?
I love everyone, okay, but really I'm here for the buckley-diaz family. LOVE LOVE LOVE karen and hen and their babes and can't enough of their story either.
16. Wishes for next season/half season?
okay the obvious answer is for buddie to go canon, but my honest answer is that i want eddie to deal with his trauma. and i want him and buck to have a fucking conversation. if that ends in them being together, i'll piss myself with excitement. if it doesn't, that's okay, that's why i have fandom.
18. Favorite rescue?
oh god i'm horrible i barely pay attention to the calls. the drivers test lesbians in 5a come to mind first. and the highway shark, obviously. chim and the pregnant girls too. GAH. i'm forgetting some. buck pulling the little girl out of the toy claw machine lives rent free in my brain. the rodeo bar tailpipe incident in stuck. best rescue of the whole show though goes to hen saving athena from a sticky situation in s1 - i hope she got that selfie! 😏😂
20. Moment that made you cry the most?
JESUS WHY. ummm... maddie's video. all of maddie in 5a honestly. THE FUCKING WELL. just all of it. i wept. buck losing chris, and telling eddie. NIA. i cried about the shooting obviously but I was so in shock that not as much as some of the others. every fucking begins episode. not hen's as much, but kevin, bobby's family, buck's family and the warehouse, the well + eddie's backstory. GOD. this show loves to make me ugly cry.
26. hottest moment
every time buck's in a harness, every time eddie's on screen, every time anyone is working out, etc. etc. oof that one call where eddie and buck rappel down together. eddie's green henley. and that flannel shirt. eddie in jeans. anytime i can see eddie's ass. eddie in general. BUCK WITH CURLY HAIR. anytime buck is near death and has sweat through his hair gel (he's never looked better than that tsunami arc and after eddie gets shot i'm sorry these are just facts). maddie in that green dress. abby in the black dress. SUSPENDERS. i'll stop now.
39. Your favorite headcannon?
demi!eddie
46. How do you think Chimney got his nickname?
i have no idea but he's clearly embarrassed about it so i'm hoping he got stuck in a chimney or something equally ridiculous.
59. favorite fic
OH GEEZ. if i have to pick one Leading with the Left by @letmetellyouaboutmyfeels.
63. Moment that makes you go i n s a n e?
buck inexplicably bringing eddie to pick up chris in early s2. "his buck". the grocery store fight. there's no one i trust with my son more than you (eddie's hand placement makes me lose my whole mind). can i spend christmas with you? chris running away to buck's. the entirety of the eddie begins episode. all of the shooting, all of it, all of the aftermath, everything. THE FUCKING WILL. all of eddie and buck's interactions in 5x06. buck's interactions with taylor in 5a. buck telling eddie to break up with ana, and eddie doing it. basically everything about this show makes me insane, haven't you noticed?
69. What kind of episode would you kill to have happen?
i would love a domestic episode? like no emergencies (lbh i barely care about them anyway) just everybody at home having sweet domestic ordinary moments, the 118 chillin' at the firehouse, maybe a party with all of them where we get more than 4 minutes. gimme all those sweet sweet found family feels.

Out Of Time ~ 125
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
< previous chapter
Word Count: 8,010ish (YIKES)
Summary: The team works together to stop Aida. Goodbyes are had.
Tumblr media
Y/N and Daisy gasped, both waking up on the floor of the Zephyr. Simmons was helping Daisy and Yo-Yo was with Y/N.
“Were you able to save Mack?” Yo-Yo asked, looking between Daisy and Y/N.
“I’m so sorry,” Daisy replied.  The Zephyr was shaking.
“What’s going on?” Y/N asked, looking around.
“We’re being shot out of the sky,” Piper replied.
They helped Daisy and Y/N up and they stumbled to the front of the Zephyr.
“How many hits have we taken?” Daisy asked.
“Three,” Piper answered.
“The Zephyr’s like a tank,” Agent Prince stated. “She’s holding together.”
“Yeah, but we had to pull the plug on everything except for flight control to keep the Framework running for you guys.”
“So we can’t fight back,” Simmons stated.
“Or see where it’s coming from,” Daisy added.
“Yes, we can,” Y/N said, causing them all o look at her. “I’m going to go onto the top of the Zephyr. If I get a look at the jet shooting at us, I can portal myself onto it. I can stop them from the inside.”
“Y/N, that’s too—“
“I’m doing it. It might be our best shot at the moment.”
Then a portal opened and Y/N appeared on the roof of the Zephyr. She anchored herself onto the roof with her powers. She looked around, through the clouds, for the jet. Seeing it, she focused don’t eh roof and opened a portal to it. On the other jet’s roof, Y/N used her powers to blast a hole through the top and jumped inside. The man flying the jet shot the Zephyr again before turning to head straight for the Zephyr.
“Who are you?” He turned around. He was tall and buff with a Russian accent.
“I’m just here to kick your ass,” Y/N replied.
With her hands glowing both red and purple, she pushed them towards each other to form a ball. Her hands were vibrating slightly with the amount of power coming from her.
“Who the hell are you?” He asked.
“I’m Lady America.”
Y/N aimed her hands at the man, pushing the ball of power to hit him straight in the chest. The man, who turned out to be a LMD, disintegrated into thin air. With the jet still aimed at the Zephyr, Y/N jumped back through the hole she created. Leaping backwards through an open portal, Y/N blasted the jet into pieces. She landed, hard, on the floor of the Zephyr.
“Y/N!” Simmons and Daisy exclaimed, rushing to her side.
“Are you okay?” Daisy asked.
“I’m fine,” Y/N answered. “Looks like you got the power back on. Are we headed to the others?”
“Davis has the coordinates,” Simmons replied. “We’re on our way there.”
“Good.” Y/N nodded.
“Can we now talk about why you didn’t save Mack?” Yo-Yo asked.
“It’s not that simple,” Daisy responded.
“Then explain it to me. What stopped you? He was right there with you, no?”
“Yes, but, Yo-Yo,” Y/N began, “he didn’t want to come.”
“Oh, you only bring back the people that matter to you, not to me!”
“You know what? I’ve known Mack longer than you,” Daisy argued. “And he mean as much to me—“
“You promised! You promised me!”
“We tried! He didn’t want to come back!”
“Who cares?! You knock him over the head, you break his legs, you kick him through the exit! It was a video game!”
“He didn’t want to leave Hope!” Y/N exclaimed.
“Hope? His daughter?”
“You know about her?” Daisy asked. “Because I didn’t. Not until I saw her face.”
“She’s dead.”
“Yeah, well, in there, she’s 10,” Y/N said. “And she’s bring and adorable, and she means the world to him, even if it’s not a real world…. And I get that.”
“I’m sorry,” Daisy apologized to Yo-Yo. “He wouldn’t have left her for anything.”
“Even me.”
“He didn’t remember you, Yo-Yo.”
“I’m so sorry.”
“Then I’ll go remind him.”
“No, no, no,” Daisy rushed as Yo-Yo headed to go plug herself into the Framework.
“Yo-Yo, no,” Y/N grabbed her had. “Do not—“
“I’ll go get him out myself,” Yo-Yo stated.
“Do not do that.”
“Besides the fact that going into that world as an inhuman is the worst idea ever,” Daisy started, “we need you here, making sure that the real Mack stays alive, or it’ll all be for nothing. Coulson and May just woke up next to Mack with no idea where they are or what they’re up against.”
“Daisy, Y/N,” Piper called. “We need to show you something.”
Piper guided them to the screen and played the recent news conference. General Talbot was at the podium. There was a banner on the TV that said ‘sabotage at SHIELD’.
“Like I said,” Talbot talked to the reporters, “with an explosion that size, we still have a lot to sift through at SHIELD headquarters. The entire area is sealed off, but, no, I can’t rule out Daisy Johnson’s involvement.”
“It’s been playing on every channel,” Piper told them.
“Sir,” a reporter called out to Talbot, “any truth to reports that Director Jeffrey Mace’s body has, in fact, been found?”
“I have have no new information about that,” Talbot answered. “But I can assure you, the manhunt for the members within SHIELD who remain at large is still our top priority. We can only assume that they’re behind this attack.”
“General!” A different reporter called out. “There are rumors that former Avenger and SHIELD Agent, Y/N Rogers, could also have been involved. Do you have anything to say about that?”
“Not at the moment. Though the hunt for both Rogers and the other fugitive former Avengers is still on going. Look, they’re terrorists, and we’re not gonna rest until we take them down and find out exactly who’s responsible.”
“Who gave them my name?” Y/N asked quietly, completely confused. “No one should have seen me with you guys, we haven’t touched ground. Why would he—“
“Talbot’s never let the idea that we’ve been hiding you, go,” Daisy replied. “He just wants a way to end us once and for all.”

Setting the Zephyr to hover above the drilling platform, Daisy, Yo-Yo, and Y/N took the isolation pod down. As they exited, Coulson and May exited the top doors. Coulson was carrying most of May’s weight.
“Oh, perfect timing,” Coulson commented. “Hi, everybody.” Daisy took May from Coulson. “She’s very weak— Oof!” Y/N had latched herself onto Coulson in a hug, which he quickly reciprocated. “You left,” he whispered, holding her close. “You woke up and you disappeared.”
“I know,” she responded, quietly. “I’m so sorry.”
“And Mack?” Yo-Yo asked as Coulson and Y/N let each other go.
“Down below,” Coulson answered, leading Yo-Yo and Y/N towards the doors. “We have to keep him attached to the equipment. So before we can wheel him o—“ The platform shook from an explosion, causing the three of them to lose their balance. Coulson grabbed onto both Yo-Yo and Y/N. “You okay?”
“Yeah,” Yo-Yo responded with a nod.
Coulson pried open the doors. The three looked down to see the explosion making its way up the shaft.
“Go!” Coulson shouted.
The three ran the other way, getting launched forward by the explosion.
“No more elevator,” Coulson grunted.
“Where are the stairs?” Yo-Yo asked through the comms as they pushed themselves back up.
“They’ve collapsed, too,” Simmons informed from the Zephyr. “You need to get off the rig now. Repeat, the structure is about to crumble! Guys, you need to get in the containment module and in the air! Now!”
“No.” Yo-Yo shook her head.
“You got to get in here before this rig goes down!” Daisy yelled from the module.
“No, I won’t leave without Mack, not his time!”
“There’s no time!” Simmons responded.
“No! We can’t leave without Mack!” She headed for the burning elevator shaft.
“Yo-Yo, no,” Coulson exclaimed, grabbing onto her. “Come on! We got to go!”
“No!”
“We have to get out of here!” Y/N shouted. “I’m so sorry, Yo-Yo. But we have to—“
“I have Mack,” Simmons informed.
“What?” YN questioned, quickly making herself appear in the Zephyr.
She gasped as she saw Mack, still hooked up to the machines, Fitz, and Aida, unconscious on the floor. The floor was wet all around them.
“How….?” Y/N asked.
“Let’s go home,” Simmons replied, over the comms.

As the Zephyr began descending into the base’s hanger bay, the damage from the explosion was more than Y/N had imagined. The base was almost complete rubble.
“Who did this?” May gasped.
“You did,” Daisy replied. “To stop him from coming after us.”
“To stop who?” Coulson asked.
“You,” Simmons responded.
Armed with flashlights and guns, they headed into the destroyed base. Walking the halls, Y/N was reminded of memories from what felt like another lifetime ago. Wires and other things were hanging from the ceiling. They climbed over over objects, layering the floors. Thankfully, the insolation room was barely damaged, allowing them to put Fitz and Aida there. After checking the base, they met back on the Zephyr.
“Looks like we weren’t detected flying in,” May informed.
“We can’t stay long,” Coulson said. “Probably shouldn’t have come here.”
“We have to refuel,” Simmons said. “Also, we had no choice.”
“Because of that room?” Yo-Yo asked.
“It’s the only place that can contain Aida’s teleportation ability.”
“It’s outfitted with technology we used to stop Gordon,” Y/N explained. “The first guy we encountered with that particular skill set.”
“She’ll remain inside until we can decide what we want to do with her,” Daisy said.
“Why don’t we chop off her head like last time?” Yo-Yo wondered. “You need a volunteer?”
“Let’s take a moment and think about that, Sweeney Todd,” Coulson responded. “She’s a real person now, and she—“
“She saved Mack,” Daisy interrupted.
“She made herself real in order to escape Radcliffe’s programming, so… now maybe she’s different.”
“I highly doubt that,” Simmons said. “People don’t name themselves ‘Madame Hydra’ if they’re open-minded.”
“I’m with Simmons on this one,” Y/N said.
“She did what you said in the Framework,” Yo-Yo added. “Seems better safe than sorry.”
“No more killing,” May stated. “There’s been enough killing.”
“Which leads to the next question,” Coulson said, looking at Simmons.
“What do we do with Fitz?” Y/N asked.
Simmons was silent for a few moments before stepping closer to May and Coulson. “What do the two of you remember of your Framework lives?” She questioned.
“As much as I remember about this life,” Coulson answered. “The only different is, I know—“
“It wasn’t real,” May interrupted.
“So it’s like you woke up from a dream,” Simmons said.
“No. Not a dream, Simmons. A life.”
“But this is you, right? I mean… does it feel… as real as…” Simmons left out a shuddered breath, trying to stop herself from crying. She walked away from the group.
“She’s afraid Fitz will be the same guy he was in the Framework,” Daisy said.
“No,” Y/N said, “that’s not it.”
“She’s afraid he still loves someone else,” Yo-Yo said, before walking away herself.
Y/N bit her lip and walked out of the Zephyr. She found her way to her old bunker. The ceiling at collapsed on top of the bed and the walls were blackened from the fire. But it was still her room, with her things still in it.
“I locked this room up,” Coulson said from behind her. “In case you ever showed back up again… I.. I came in here sometimes, when I felt I needed your help.”
“I don’t know what’s going on anymore, Phil,” she whispered in response, still facing away from him. “My old life… the life I knew… is completely gone. Almost every part of it…. Nothing is the same anymore. And I— I don’t like it.”
Coulson stepped closer to her, coming to her side. “Where have you been, Y/N/N?"
“Running for my life… don’t worry. I’ve been safe. You don’t have to worry about that.”
“But, Y/N, what happened? You collapsed in my arms and then were in a coma for 6 months… you wake up and don’t even say good bye.”
“I couldn’t. The new Director and Talbot were after me. And you needed to focus on saving Daisy. Which you did…. That was more important.”
“Y/N…” Coulson stood in front of her. “You were important too… just tell me, during that 6 months, what happened?”
“Something’s coming…. You know I’ve never been wrong about that. But this time… it’s something bigger. Something so powerful, I don’t even know if I’ll be able to stop it. But I’ve been tasked to.”
“Tasked to? By who?”
“The Stones.”
“Stones? I don’t under— the Tesseract. Loki’s scepter. Is that what you’re talking about?”
“There are six Infinity Stones, two of them you’ve named. My powers come from them for the soul purpose of stopping whatever’s coming.”
“Do you know when? Or what exactly it is?”
“I don’t.” She shook her head. “I just know it’s coming soon. And that I need to be ready when it does.”
“I’ll fight by your side when it does. The whole team will. You don’t have to do this alone.”
“You can’t. I won’t let you or the team put yourselves in harms way like that. This will be something I have to do, alone.”
“When will you get it through your thick head that you’ve never had to do anything alone? And that you never will? You’ve always had someone, me, Fury, Tony, Steve, Bucky, the Avengers, this team. You’ve never needed to do anything alone. When the fight comes, I will be there, by your side, like the good ole days.”
Coulson grabbed her hand. As he grasped onto it, Y/N heard a voice in her head. The voice of one of the Stones.
“He will not be at your side,” the rough voice stated. “Neither will this team. This will be your last mission with them before the time comes where you will fight and his life with end.”
Tears formed in her eyes as the voice spoke, leaving as quick as it came. She pulled Coulson in for a hug, cherishing one of her last hugs with her dear, old friend.
“I’m going to be there,” Coulson whispered. “Always.”
~~~
Y/N, Coulson, May, and Daisy were talking in the Zephyr when armed army men with guns came towards them. They held their hands up.
“We need to extract Fitz from that room!” Simmons came yelling from behind, freezing at the sight before her.
“Hands in the air!” One of the men shouted. “Don’t move!”
“Slow down,” Coulson said calmly. “We’re not the enemy here. Let’s just keep our cool—“
“You shut your robot mouth,” Talbot ordered coming up to them. “Or I’ll have these men weld it shut for you.”
Staring at Talbot, Y/N missed the nod one of the army men gave to another. The man standing right in front of Y/N, firing a silenced gun. Y/N gasped as the bullet entered her abdomen and she fell to the ground.
“Y/N!!” A chorus of shouts were heard. Y/N put pressure on her bleeding wound.
“Nobody move!” Another man shouted.
“Well, at least we know Rogers here isn’t the robot,” Talbot stated.
“We’re not robots, Glenn!” Coulson exclaimed. “Let one of us help her!”
“Yes, they are!” Talbot told his men. “You assume each and every one of them is a damn C-3PO unless you hear otherwise from me! One of you eyes on Rogers at all times! If she so much as teleports, take her and someone else down. And this one!” He pointed at Daisy. “If she so much as blinks, take her down. Am I clear?”
“Yes, sir,” the men responded.
Taking deep breaths, Y/N tried to focus on stopping the bleeding. A soldier came above her, pointing a gun down at her.
“Is all this really necessary?” Coulson asked, trying hard not to worry too much about Y/N.
“Necessary?!” Talbot responded. “It’s essential. Unless you can explain to me in 50 words or less why I found Jeffrey Mace’s body washed up on the beach with his bones quaked apart, days after I found this base in flames, flesh melting off of robot bodies, 12 SHIELD agents in critical with burns or broken bones. Three dead… double hits to the heart and crushed frickin’ skulls! Can you explain that?”
“I can try.” Coulson went on to try and quickly explain as Y/N tried to find some power that she held to heal herself. “…And then the base under the oil rig fell into the sea.”
“You expect me to believe a word of that?”
“I could show you,” Y/N grunted.
“Shut your damn mouth, Rogers! You’re going straight to Raft once this is over.”
“She’s everywhere!” A man shouted over the soldier’s walkie-talkies, shots being fired in the back ground. “Aah!”
“What’s that mean, Coulson? ‘She’s everywhere.’” Talbot looked at Y/N, seeing as she was still there. “Who’s everywhere?” He looked around “Where’s that Speedy Gonzalez girl? Who’s attacking us?!”
“Aida…” Y/N panted, quietly. “Aida got out.”
Suddenly, the soldiers were on more alert as the isolation module appeared in the Zephyr. Fitz and Piper were in it. With everyone distracted, Y/N’s hand glowed green, turning the time back to before she was shot.
“May!” Fitz shouted. “Take off now! We have to move! If she can find us, she’ll kill us all!”
“Davis had her down for the count,” Piper stated.
“They won’t listen to me! She can’t be stopped!” Fitz hit against the window. “May! May! You’re the only other person that knows about the inhumans we tested.”
May quickly looked around and took off for the front of the Zephyr.
“Hey!” Talbot shouted as guns cocked.
“Try it,” both Daisy and Y/N said, threatening the soldiers.
Y/N had appeared next to Daisy. Daisy had a hand out, while both of Y/N’s were near her sides, glowing purple. Talbot pointed his gun at her head.
“Let’s see what happens,” Y/N taunted.
“How did you— you were— we—“ Talbot stammered.
“Don’t ever underestimate me, again.”
The stand-off stood firm, even as the Zephyr began to lift from the ground.
“If you drop your guns, you can come with us,” Daisy said.
“I don’t suggest staying,” Coulson said. “But the Zephyr’s leaving with or without you.”
Daisy and Y/N stepped forward. Talbot quickly lifted his hands up in the air.
“Fall back!” He ordered his men, who immediately listened.
Y/N and Daisy kept their threatening stances until the soldiers were off and the ramp was up. Coulson and Daisy both rushed to Y/N’s side.
“Are you okay?” Coulson worried.
“I’m fine,” Y/N swatted them away.
Daisy lifted Y/N’s shirt up. “There’s a whole lot of blood,” she said. “But no wound. Did you—“
“Turn back time and heal myself?” Y/N interrupted. “Yep.”
“Since when?”
“The Stones,” Coulson whispered in realization. He met her eyes. “Y/N, exactly how powerful are you?”
“More than I care to admit,” she answered, pulling her shirt down. “Now, let’s go meet up with the gang up front.”
Simmons went to see Fitz as Y/N, Coulson, and Daisy made their way to the front.
“May needs to keep us on the move,” Daisy said.
“Or Aida will be on us like a flash,” Y/N added.
“Even Yo-Yo couldn’t…” Coulson stopped, freezing in place. “Wait a minute. Where was Yo-Yo during that standoff?”
Daisy and Y/N looked at each other. “No.”
The three of them ran to where Mack’s body was still plugged into the Framework. They saw Yo-Yo plugged in beside him.
“Damn it,” Y/N muttered.
“Yo-Yo has no idea what she’s in for,” Daisy said.
“For that matter, neither do we,” Coulson said.
~~~
“I’ve set autopilot to change bearing, altitude, and speed every couple of minutes,” May stated as Y/N and Coulson walked into the control room.
“I hate playing defense,” Coulson said. “But if Aida drops in on us before we figure out how to stop her, it’s—“
“Game over,” Y/N finished.
“Any word from Piper since she HALO’d out?” May asked, tapping some control screens.
“Not yet, but she knows what to do if this doesn’t go our way.”
“It has to go our way. And then… you’re gonna explain why you drank that bottle of Haig without me.”
“Fair enough, but we’re gonna beed another bottle to discuss what happened with that bottle.”
“Have you two kissed yet?” Y/N asked, leaning against a wall, arms folded over her. “Cause the vibe I’m getting is that you have or that you really need to already.” The two gave her a look. She held up her hands. “You know what? I’m going to see if Daisy needs help keeping an eye out on Mack and Yo-Yo.”
Y/N quickly disappeared through a portal to Yo-Yo’s bedside. Daisy was standing near their two unconscious friends, typing on a laptop.
“Hey,” Y/N greeted, only to be met with silence. “Okay… I don’t know what I did. But talking to me might—“
“Your powers confuse me and frustrate me,” Daisy cut in, focused on the screen in front of her.
“Okay… care to go into any detail?”
“It’s just… it’s slowly becoming clearer that you have been hiding things from us.” Y/N sighed. “Why?”
“To keep everyone safe. That’s why I haven’t said much about my abilities, it’s also one of the reasons that I couldn’t stay here after waking up.”
“I thought—“ Daisy sighed. “We used to be close. We used to understand each other. And now…”
“Now, we still do. Circumstances have just prevented us from keeping the bond.”
“Why were you with Tony?”
“Why did you call Tony?”
“Cause I knew if anyone knew where, or how, to find you, it would be him.”
“Smart.” Y/N nodded. “I’ve been… secretly dating both him and Bucky.” She cringed, saying it out loud was a lot.
“Bucky? As in the Winter Soldier?”
“Yes.”
“Wow.” Daisy nodded. “Impressive. How long has this been going on?”
“Actually, a few days. Tony and I were in the middle of our first date, since everything, when you called.”
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay. You calling showed me a different side of him. He willingly let me go. He’s never done that— well, in that matter, before. It was nice.”
“Tell him the next one’s on me.”
Y/N laughed. “I will… Daisy… I’m proud of you.”
Daisy looked over, confused. “Thanks? What’s… what’s going on?”
“Nothing.” Y/N plastered a small smile on her face. “I just felt the need to say that.”
Coulson walked in, studying Mack and Yo-Yo’s vitals. Daisy went back to focusing on the computer screen.
“Vitals are stable,” Coulson commented. “That’s good.”
“We should’ve forced Mack to come back with us,” Daisy said.
“Literally,” Y/N added.
“Wasn’t your decision to make,” Coulson said. “Either of yours.”
“Yeah, well, now we might lose both Mack and Yo-Yo,” Daisy added.
“Again, not your call.”
“She went in with no extraction plan, no idea how to find Mack,” Y/N said with a sigh.
“I think I may have been able to help her with that,” Daisy said, still working on the computer. “No, no, no, no, no, no, no. No!”
“What?” Coulson questioned, him and Y/N moving closer to her. “Did you do something?"
“No, this was not me. I didn’t—“
“Are you guys seeing this?” Simmons asked, coming into the room. “What’s happening to the Framework?”
“What do you mean?” Y/N wondered, following Simmons towards the control room. “What’s wrong?”
“The Framework’s disappearing. Daisy.”
“I’m on it!” Daisy replied, typing faster.
“How long before the Framework’s completely gone?” Coulson asked.
“Fitz estimates between 12 and 20 hours.” They paused in front of a screen analyzing the Framework. “Looks so innocent, just numbers and symbols. But each thread of code has a corollary in the Framework— a favorite blouse, a schoolhouse, a newborn child— they’re all blinking out of existence forever.”
“Mack and Yo-Yo?” Y/N questioned.
“There’s no guarantee that they’ll survive until the end. Fitz and Daisy are doing everything they can to protect them and devise an exit.”
Coulson pulled out his ringing cellphone. “General Talbot,” he told the women. Simmons walked away and he answered it, putting it on speaker for Y/N to hear. “General, I’m relieved that you’re still alive.”
“Three of my finest aren’t so fortunate,” Talbot responded, “and I have no idea what killed them.”
“We lost good people, too. The short answer is they were murdered by a vanishing banshee made of matter from another dimension.”
“You expect me to put that in my report?”
“I’ve died and come back to life. I have a cybernetic hand. I’ve been to another planet. This stuff happens in SHIELD.”
“There’s not going to be a SHIELD, not since Director Mace’s autopsy report was leaked. I’ve got a dozen intelligence agencies who now know that Mace wasn’t an inhuman.”
“What?!” Y/N exclaimed.
“They know SHIELD lied about it, and they’re wondering what else you might’ve lied about.”
“That was your lie, Talbot,” Coulson argued. “Not ours.”
“Damn it, Phil, you’re missing the point. There’s an international intelligence inquiry tomorrow morning, and I need you there to defend SHIELD.”
“That’s impossible.”
“Damn it, Coulson, so is a vanishing banshee. Phil, I’m not gonna get up on my hind legs and beg for buttermilk. But you or one of your right hands needs to be there to take down these spooks before they take down SHIELD once and for all. That’s an order.”
“I wish we could, General, but my team and I are Aida’s primary target. Our presence would only endanger the lives of everyone there. Plus, you decided to shoot one of my right hands and threaten to put her in Raft.”
“Phil—“
“If anything changes, you’ll be the first to know.” Coulson hung up.
“I’ve never liked that guy,” Y/N muttered, shaking her head. Daisy then came into the room.
“Is that a good-news face or a bad-news face?”
“It’s a weird-news face,” Daisy replied. “Robbie Reyes just stole his charger out of a SHIELD impound garage outside of Dover.”
“Robbie Reyes?” Y/N repeated. “Who’s he?”
“Right,” Coulson said, “I forgot you weren’t there for that. Let’s just say, don’t get on his bad side. He—“
“Turns into a flame-headed demon,” Daisy interrupted. “May’s rerouting us to Dover now.”
~~~
Daisy went and met up with Robbie Reyes, bring him back to the Zephyr. Y/N and Coulson met them in the cargo bay.
“Mr. Reyes,” Coulson greeted, shaking the younger man’s hand.
“Coulson,” Robbie responded.
“This is Y/N Rogers.” Coulson motioned to Y/N. “She—“
“Aren’t you currently a fugitive?”
“Does it matter?”
“How’d you find Aida?” Coulson asked him.
“There was a—a tear in the dark world when she was created. It’s how I escaped. The thing in me is drawn to dark matter the way your GPS tracks my car.”
“So you’re saying Aida’s made of the same stuff as the Darkhold?”
“Yeah.”
“What’s the Darkhold?” Y/N asked.
“It’s an ancient book of spells and unspeakable power. It’s made of dark matter from the hell dimension.”
“Okay…” Y/N nodded. “And just when I thought my life couldn’t get anymore weird.”
“The rider wants to send them both back to where they came from.”
“I hope that means hell,” Daisy commented.
“Hell is relative. Dimensions, space, planets—it’s all connected. Plenty of them qualify as hell.. The Earth is just one territory in a war that’s been going on forever.”
“Can you beat Aida?”
“I don’t know. But what I do know is the demon in me hates her in ways I’ve never felt.”
“We all feel like that,” Coulson said.
“Why do you have that?” Daisy asked, looking behind Coulson and Y/N. They turned to see May holding a head.
“It was in the module with the LMDs Robbie destroyed,” May answered. “Do we know who he is?”
“No, looks like Aida’s been busy,” Coulson replied.
“She could’ve duplicated anybody,” Y/N said, shaking her head.
“I’ll run facial recognition,” Daisy stated, “see if we can ID this guy.”
~~~
The next morning, May, Robbie, Y/N, Daisy, and Coulson got on a quinjet. Coulson was on the phone, trying to get a hold of someone. They were all currently on their way to the SHIELD inquiry.
“We’ve ID’d the head,” May stated, holding up a tablet for Daisy, Robbie and Y/N to see. “He’s one of the senior Russian analysts invited to the SHIELD inquiry today, and look who he’s bringing as his plus-one.” She changed the picture and Y/N took the tablet from her.
“This is the Russian guy I tore to bits on the jet,” Y/N stated. “The one that was targeting us on the way to the oil rig. How has he… Aida. Damn it.”
Coulson sighed, hanging out the phone again. “I’ve left messages for General Talbot,” he said. “But he’s not answering.”
“What’s Aida’s play here?” Daisy questioned. “Why have the LMDs attend this?”
“My guys is to drive the final nail into SHIELD’s coffin.”
~~~
Arriving at the SHIELD inquiry, there were dead soldiers lining the halls. Gunshots and shouts were in the distance. They ran towards the sounds. Robbie and Y/N got in there first, seeing a duplicate of Daisy rush off. Robbie followed it while Y/N pinned the two LMDs down with her powers. May and Coulson began firing at them.
“Y/N, let them go,” Coulson directed. “Check on Talbot.”
With a huff, Y/N let them go and went over to Talbot. He had a bullet to the brain.
“There’s still a pulse,” Talbot’s right hand told Y/N.
“Everybody out— now!” Coulson ordered the others still in the room. “And get some medical help.”
“Phil,” May called, looking at the Darkhold on the floor. “They’ll be back for that.”
Coulson quickly grabbed it as medical came rushing in.
“Y/N, go!” Coulson ordered. “Find Reyes and Daisy! Help them.”
Nodding, Y/N rushing out of the room, searching for Daisy. Y/N ran into a storage room just in time to watch Robbie’s head turn into a fiery skull.
“What the actual hell,” she mumbled, frozen by the door.
Robbie used the chain to attack the LMD security officer. She heard a swish behind her.
“Hello, Y/N,” a voice greeted. Y/N turned around to see Aida. “Nice to finally meet you.”
“Can’t say I feel the same,” Y/N responded.
“You are the one thing I never planned for in the Framework. You’re also the one thing that could have truly made me unstoppable.”
“Here’s the thing, Aida, my powers don’t work like that. So even if you would have stolen my DNA and tortured me, you would have never gotten my abilities.”
Aida growled. “We’ll see about that.”
Raising her hands in front of her, Aida shot electric beams at Y/N. Y/N quickly deflected them by using a portal, sending them into Aida’s back. Letting out a cry, Aida stumbled forward. This allowed Y/N to shoot a purple energy beam Aida’s way. It hit her before Aida disappeared. On guard, Y/N spun around multiple times, waiting for Aida to reappear. She never did. Coulson and May ran up to the room, where Daisy and Robbie were panting.
“I missed it, didn’t I?” Coulson questioned. “You guys together, and we missed it. Damn. Come on. We got to go. Come on!”
He started running down the hall, with May following. Y/N turned to look at Robbie and Daisy.
“Do you want to run with them or do you want me to just open a portal to the quinjet?” Y/N asked, pointing in Coulson’s direction. “Cause I really don’t feel like following them.”
~~~
“This must be Aida’s payback cause I quaked her skinny ass out that window,” Daisy stated, marching towards the front of the Zephyr with the rest of them following. “She’s gonna send Daisy-bot after Daisy-bot to assassinate people.” She kicked a wall in frustration. “So stupid.
“She won’t have to,” May said. “As soon as the video of your LMD shooting Talbot in the head gets out, SHIELD is dead.”
“It’s worse than that,” Coulson added. “Daisy’s not just SHIELD. She’s inhuman. Not to mention the fact that Y/N appeared not long after. They could make it look like they were working together.”
“Oh my gosh, you’re right. It’s the same tactic Aida used in the Framework. Unite people in their fear of inhumans. But instead of a Cambridge incident…”
“It’s me,” Daisy said. “I’ll be the monster. She wants the same racist state that she had in the Framework. This is her plan! She’s won.”
“No, she hasn’t,” Y/N argued.
“I’m with Y/N,” Coulson agreed. “Okay, maybe she won today. But like Robbie said, we’re part of a bigger war. This isn’t the Framework. We’re awake, we’re unified, and frankly, pissed off enough to risk everything to stop her.” Coulson turned to Robbie. “I need the Darkhold.”
“What?” May exclaimed. “No! No one’s ever reading that damn book again.”
“I don’t want to read it. I want to use it as bait. Aida’s human now. She feels what we feel, including fear.”
“No,” Robbie responded. “I’m sorry, man. I’m taking it.”
“She’s got to be terrified we’ll use it to stop her.”
“She’s also terrified of Robbie,” Daisy added. “As soon as she saw his chain flame on, she teleported out.”
“That’s not exactly true,” Y/N said. “I may have had a run in with her. Then she teleported out.”
“You two together,” Coulson said, pointing between Y/N and Robbie. “Could you destroy her?”
“Maybe,” Robbie shrugged. “But it’s like Daisy said, she won’t let me anywhere near her.”
“I can get you near her,” Y/N offered. “And she won’t even be able to sense you coming.”
“I think I have an idea that might solve all our problems,” Coulson stated.
“We’re running out of options,” Simmons said, appearing on the upper level.
“There isn’t enough power on the Zephyr to protect Mack and Yo-Yo,” Fitz said, joining her. The two headed downstairs to the others.
“Then we’ll have to go back to base,” Coulson responded.
“That’s a terrible idea,” May said.
“I agree,” Daisy added. “The military, Aida, more LMDs are probably waiting for us.”
“Maybe, but I’m tired of hiding,” Coulson said. “Let’s take the fight back home.” Coulson turned around and walked up to Fitz-Simmons. “Look, I know you two still have a lot to work out, but right now, I need you on the same page, okay?” They nodded before Coulson looked back to the others. “Alright, May, take us back to HQ.”
~~~
On the way back to HQ, Y/N hung out near Fitz. His thoughts were so loud that Y/N couldn’t help but hear them.
“It’s not your fault, Fitz,” she said quietly, standing behind him.
“You don’t know,” he replied.
“I do. Cause I can feel your thoughts and cause I know what happened. It wasn’t you. It was Aida, it was the Framework.”
He slammed his fist against the table. “But it was me! Cause I remember it! I did it!”
“Fitz.” She reached to put a hand on his shoulder, but he shrugged it off. “You’re not a bad person, Fitz. You’re just, human. Please don’t be so hard on yourself… I… you just need to know that I care. That I always have and always will. You’re… you’re like my little brother I’ve never had. Actually… at this point, you’re closer to me than my actual brother.”
Fitz turned around. “Why are you talking like this? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” She shook her head. “I just… I don’t know, after this mission, when I’ll see any of you again.”
“You’re lying. You know something.”
Y/N looked down. “It’s my burden to bare Fitz. You already have too much. Just remember, you’re family.”
~~~
Y/N was sitting in one of the pilot’s seats, staring out the window. May came and sat beside her.
“What’s got you so quiet?” May asked.
Y/N rolled her head to look at May. “You really want to know?”
“Nope.”
“Yeah, didn’t think so.” Y/N faced the window again. “I used to be terrified of this… the thought of falling to my death. I think I’ve done it so many times now that I’m numb to it.”
“Yeah, I get that… I remember the first months with you on the team. You got shaken so easily.”
“I had a lot going on, a lot that I wasn’t dealing with.”
“Like now?”
Kinda… now’s… different. We’ve all been through so much. I’m really not allowed to get as shaken as I used to.” She looked down at her hands. “Can’t really afford to do that on the run.”
“You going to stay on the run?”
“Really have no choice… it’s okay. I’ve found a place I’ve been laying low at. It’s nice… don’t… May, don’t wait too long to make a move on Coulson.”
“Excuse me?”
“You can’t lie to me. I can read your thoughts. Just… I wouldn’t advise waiting too long. Every moment is precious. Don’t waste it.”
~~~
It didn’t take too long for the Zephyr to land at HQ. May and Coulson went to check it out while everyone else stayed on the Zephyr. Y/N was laying in the isolation module when she sensed it.
“Aida,” she whispered.
Y/N stood up, quickly creating a portal to the hallway outside of where Fitz-Simmons was located. She had never been inside the room they were in, so she couldn’t exactly get herself in there.
“No!” She heard Fitz shout through the door.
“Beg me to let her live,” Aida’s voice directed.
“I’ll do whatever you want,” Fitz pled.
Y/N grabbed the door handle, slowly using her powers to melt it away. She didn’t want Aida to quickly do anything.
“We can go away,” Fitz continued. “Start again.”
“Too late,” Aida responded. Y/N could hear Simmons gasping. “This is making me feel better. Fitz, why do we feel better when we make someone else suffer?”
“Because there’s something wrong with you,” Simmons replied. “You psycho-ooo.” She grunted.
Pushing the door open slightly, Y/N got enough of the room to be able to create a portal. She did, behind Aida, who had a screwdriver in Simmons’ chest. Putting a finger over her lips, Y/N signaled Fitz to be quiet. Aida pressed the screwdriver in further.
“Stop,” Fitz begged as Simmons cried out. “Stop, stop, stop, stop. Please, please, spare Jemma.”
“So it’s Jemma now?” Aida taunted. “Trying to humanize her. I’m afraid you’re gonna have to do better than that.” Aida turned the screwdriver.
“Fitz, please,” Simmons begged. “I’m scared. Make her stop.”
Glancing back at Y/N, Fitz noticed green floating from one of Y/N’s hands to Simmons back. Y/N was turning back time slowly, so that the damage wasn’t as bad. The other hand had red and yellow coming from it, heading towards Aida’s head.
“The Darkhold!” Fitz exclaimed. “That’s the only way we could beat you. Let Jemma go, and I’ll go get it for you.”
Aida grasped onto Simmons neck.
“You did this, Fitz,” Simmons said.
“I’m so sorry, Jemma,” he apologized.
“Coulson’s reading the book. He’s firing up the gateway right now… Come on. Please. Let me take you to it.”
Aida glanced down at Simmons. She put her hand in front of her and let out an electric beam. Before it could hit Simmons, Y/N appeared between them, getting shocked instead. Y/N fell to the ground, half conscious. Aida threw Simmons on top of her.
“No!” Fitz shouted.
Aida grabbed him, shoving him up against the tech. “I’m gonna kill everyone you love right in front of you,” Aida whispered. “And there’s nothing you can do.”
Aida pressed a kiss to the side of Fitz’ face before teleporting off. Fitz, breathing deeply, quickly rushed towards Y/N.
“Y/N, Y/N,” he grabbed her, resting her head in his lap. “Are you okay?”
“I’m… fine…” Y/N grunted. “I can’t believe she was fooled by that damn Simmons LMD.”
“Did you do it?”
“Aida won’t be able to teleport outside of the base boundaries. There also might be a slight chance she thinks she’s going crazy.” Fitz helped Y/N sit up, grunting. “That hurt.” She rubbed her chest. “I should have just let the LMD take the brunt of it.”
“You think you could portal us to where the rest of them are?” Fitz helped her onto her feet.
“Of course. But why the hurry?” Fitz shot her a look. “Fine, fine.” She opened a portal into the base. “Let’s go.”
Fitz and her stepped through it. The use of all her powers for the last few days was beginning to take a toll on her. She’d never done as much with them as she had been, before. Staying outside of the room, they watched through the windows of what Y/N remembered as one of the common rooms, though now destroyed.
Aida was facing them, her wounds slowly healing from where the real Simmons had shot her. Simmons was standing just out of the doorway, gun still aimed at Aida.
“You’re trap failed,” Aida smirked. “Your weapon can’t stop me.”
“I know,” Simmons responded. “I just really wanted to do that.”
“Now it’s my turn.” Aida marched towards Simmons with Coulson following. She spun around to face him. “Don’t you get it? You can’t kill me.”
“Maybe not,” Coulson replied. He gripped onto Aida’s wrist. “But I’m pretty sure he can.”
Grunting, steam began to flow from Coulson’s head. Coulson normal head disappeared, being replaced by a fiery skull.
“Okay,” Y/N said, pointing at Coulson, “no one told me that part of the plan.”
Aida and Coulson, or Ghost Rider, began fighting. Aida teleported them away.
“They won’t be able to go far,” Y/N stated. “I can sense them a few hallways down.”
Fitz-Simmons and Y/N took a portal to where Ghost Rider and Aida were fighting. He was gripping onto her wrists, burning her. She looked over at them as she was set aflame, turning into ash. Ghost Rider lifted her skeleton up and threw her against the rumble at the end of the hallway. Ghost Rider then disappeared, bring Coulson back. The others slowly made their way towards the pile of dust.
“Is she really…?” Simmons wondered.
“Yeah,” Coulson panted.
~~~
Y/N had taken a walk through the destroyed base, by herself. She was on her way to meet the others when she heard Robbie and Coulson talking.
“I don’t know how you live with it all the time,” Coulson said, his voice coming closer. “I’m just grateful ghost rider kept its part of the deal and went back to you.”
“You know why he made the deal in the first place, right?” Robbie questioned.
“I do.” I’m dying, Y/N heard Coulson’s thoughts.
She bit her lip, looking up at the ceiling as she tried to stop the tears. The Stones had basically told her this already. She just wasn’t prepared for it to be true.
“Are you gonna tell the others?” Robbie asked.
“No,” Coulson answered. “And I’d ask that you don’t either. I will when it’s time.”
Y/N waited until the hallways met up and acted like she hadn’t heard anything. But the look that Coulson gave her… she knew that he knew, she knew. Giving the men a small smile, she followed them into the room with a round machine.
“You really have to leave right away?” Daisy asked Robbie as him, Coulson, and Y/N entered.
“Yeah,” Robbie answered. “I have to get this book someplace safe… Keep an eye on my brother?” Daisy nodded.
“The gateway’s almost ready,” Simmons informed.
“Don’t need it. I’ve learned a few things since you saw me last.”
Robbie turned away and whipped his chain out, causing it to fire up. He spun it around over his head before forming a center in front of him. A orange portal formed, staying put as Robbie turned around to grab the Darkhold from Coulson.
“I don’t envy you,” Robbie told Coulson.
“I was gonna say the same to you,” the man replied.
Taking the book, Robbie turned around to face the portal. He glanced back at Daisy, once last time, before stepping through the portal. The portal disappeared, with Robbie along with it.
“What did he mean by that?” May asked.
Before May could answer, Mack and Yo-Yo quickly entered the room.
“We picked up radio chatter on the Zephyr,” Mack informed. “The good news is, is that Talbot is alive. He’s in a coma, but alive.”
“The bad news is they know we’re here,” Yo-Yo picked up. “And they’re on their way.”
“Yeah, you should go while you can,” Fitz said.
“Yeah, we’re all going,” Coulson responded.
“No, I’m gonna stay. This is my fault—Aida, the LMDs, all the deaths. Those aren’t on SHIELD. Those are on me. And, uh, I can explain art I built the LMD that shot Talbot. That way—“
“Fitz,” Daisy called. “We were all in the Framework together. We understand how confusing and screwed-up that world is. And trust me, it’s gonna take me years to process everything that happened in there. But the one thing that I don’t need time to understand is that we are all in this together… I tried to take the blame for everything not too long ago. I dyed my hair. I ran away. I thought that separating myself from the team would help me protect it. But in truth, I know of just lost myself. And you—you were the one who pulled me back in. This is not on you, okay? We all lost ourselves in there. And yeah, it might take you a long time to forgive yourself. But speaking on behalf of the team, you have nothing to apologize for.”
“If there’s a price to pay, we pay it together,” May stated.
“Amen,” Simmons agreed.
Y/N took a shuddery inhale, causing them all to look at her.
“I… I wish…” she swallowed, trying to stop her overwhelming emotions. “I wish I could pay it with you guys… But, my price is death. If they get a hold of me, they will kill me. Talbot proved that… I’m so sorry.”
“Y/N,” Coulson stepped up, “you have done more than was asked of you.”
“No,” she shook her head. “I haven’t… cause this is my team. And I didn’t stay… I should’ve stayed. I…”
“Is this the last time you’ll be with us?” Daisy asked, voice wavering.
Y/N let a tear fall as she looked at Daisy, pausing before she nodded. “I’m so sorry,” she whispered. “But there’s something I have to do… something’s coming… and it’s up to me to stop it.”
“We’re a team,” May stated. “It’s up to us.”
“Not this… this is… bigger than all of us.”
“So, this is good bye?” Fitz questioned. “Like, actually a good bye?”
“I’m so sorry…. I wish I could pay the price with you.”
“No,” Coulson said, grabbing Y/N’s hand. “You’ve already paid many prices… you go, you run, we’ll pay this one. You’ll just get the next.” The group laughed.
“You were my first friend out of the ice,” Y/N whispered. “Thank you.”
“I was one of your biggest fans,” Coulson smiled. “It was an honor.”
He brought her in for a hug. They held each other tightly, crying into each other. The others slowly gathered around, forming a group hug. With all of them crying, they stayed close until Y/N felt that it was time to go. Separating, she wiped away her tears.
“You guys should go,” she said before swallowing. “They could be here any second.” She looked at each of them, slowly opening a portal beneath her feet. “Stay safe. The world needs you. All of you. And I love each and every one of you. Thank you for this… this family. It’s been the greatest honor being apart of this family.”
And she disappeared through the portal beneath her feet.

Top 5 Worst Choices That Didn’t Matter
“This game series adapts to the choices you make. The story is tailored by how you play.”
......Yeah okay, Telltale.
There are a lot of important choices to make over the course of the twdg series, but as we all know, not every single choice matters. One of the biggest things people tend to complain about Telltale games is the illusion of choice and “my choices don’t matter! We all get the same ending anyway!” which is fair, I get it.
I personally try to look at the choices in a more positive light. Like, yeah it doesn’t matter if you cut Lee’s arm off or not. No matter what, you can’t save him and he’s going to die at the end of S1. Except that choice does matter, just not in the way we wanted it to. It matters because it shapes the story we the player want to tell.
Who is your Lee? Is he willing to do anything to rescue Clementine? Including cutting his own arm off if it means giving him just enough time to get to her, even though it’s going to hurt like hell and could possibly leave him worse off?
Or is your Lee someone who won’t risk that, even if there is the smallest hope that they cut it off in time and he could live? He’s willing to let the infection spread and kill him because he needs both arms and all the energy he has left to get to Clementine?
Sure, it doesn’t matter in the end-- Lee still dies, but two armed Lee isn’t the same man as one armed Lee, and that’s important to your story. Plus, that choice is memorable as hell.
But these kinds of choices that are impactful to your story in various ways? Yeah, we’re not talking about those today. Nope. Today we’re talking about choices that meant absolutely nothing. They never came back, they didn’t impacted the story in a meaningful way, they’re forgetful, and they’re just the worst. I don’t like ‘em.
Before we get started, just wanna shoutout @pi-creates for helping me bounce all these choices around and reminding me of so many things I forgot.
5.  Telling Clementine to bring AJ back to Richmond
Tumblr media
One of the last choices you’ll make as Javier Garcia happens during a conversation with Clementine. The two are talking about AJ and Clementine’s wondering if she was a good mom [which still don’t love the direction they went there for okay ANF] and Javi has the choice to tell her to bring AJ back to Richmond, or to leave him at the ranch.
And funny enough.... this means nothing. It does nothing. It’s said and nothing is remembered. Clementine never brings AJ back, she never mentions Javi telling her to bring him or leave him... all we get is a single line in TFS during the ranch flashback where Clementine says that they can’t go back because it’s a warzone that way.... but she says that no matter what.
It also doesn’t help that this come at the very end of the season but isn’t a huge choice the affects the endings. I dunno if they were trying to plant ideas that “Ooohh this choice could decide whether Clem sees the Garcia’s ever again! Clementine’s story isn’t over y’all! The Garcia’s could come back and we could see Richmond again!”
But then TFS happened and they were like “Ha, that’s stupid, no one likes the Garcia’s.” and they are never mentioned by name again.
4. Helping Sarah in the green house
Tumblr media
Ugh, okay.
So, there’s this point in S2 where you’re trapped in Howe’s and put to work in the green house with Sarah and Reggie. Y’see, Sarah isn’t doing so good at this. Carver got pissed at her for talking earlier and forced Carlos to slap her... which he did, and it knocked her on her ass, and now she’s in shock.
Then ya got Reggie who keeps talking about how he’s on thin ice with Carver but also he’s this close to being let out of the holding area, so behave and all will be chill. He gives you a task to trip and pick berries or whatever, when you notice that Sarah is just kinda standing there.
So you got a choice: Do you focus on your own work, or do you help Sarah out?
Well, it doesn’t matter what you pick.
It.... it literally doesn’t matter. Sure, you could argue that it helps Sarah out and adds friendship points with her.... except no, not really. It’s never brought up again. She doesn’t even guilt you if you don’t help her, which is something you’d expect from these games.
Oh, and Reggie dies no matter what. Yeah, Carver comes in and thinks a couple of berry bushes is the perfect reason to throw this man off of a rooftop... but then he doesn’t do anything to Clementine or Sarah either way. He doesn’t get mad if you help, he doesn’t go after Sarah if you don’t.... and it’s never mentioned again. Reggie’s death is, but your specific choice isn’t.
3.  Stealing from Arvo
Tumblr media
Oooooh boy, gotta love the Arvo choice.
So, you and Jane are trying to find a safe place for Rebecca to have her baby when you see this kid walk up carrying a bag. He’s pretty harmless, and he’s more scared of you than you are of him. Jane gets the jump on him, and you check out the bag he’s carrying.
Turns out, he’s got a shit ton of medicine.... medicine that your group could really use. Arvo panics and begs you not to steal from him, claiming it’s for his sick sister. You gotta decide if you want to rob him or not.
And it doesn’t matter.
The best I can do to defend this is by kinda comparing it to when you steal from the Stranger’s car in S1. It’s more of a moral choice to shape Clementine, y’know? Except it doesn’t really do anything..... Clementine isn’t branded a thief after this, she doesn’t go around just stealing shit [though she can steal Pete’s watch but that’s another story]. But if you do want to keep stretching, then the next entry on this list could be seen as a continuation of Clementine’s thieving ways if you so choose.... but that choice is here, too, soooo take that for what you will.
If you steal the medicine, you have this pill bottle that you can give to Rebecca but that barely matters, too. They don’t help or harm her when she’s giving birth, they do nothing for AJ, and no matter what you do.... Arvo’s squad ambushes you.
And it means nothing.
Arvo will always claim you stole from him, even if you didn’t. Rebecca will always die and someone will always shoot her, causing a shootout to happen where no one in your group dies.
Yeah, no one but Arvo’s squad dies. Mike gets shot, and so does Luke but that’s it.
Oh, and stealing from him is never brought up again after that.... because it doesn’t matter.
Even if they did something where if you stole from him, then one of your group members dies because of some bullshit reason, then it would mean something but as it is now? Nothin’.
2. Injecting AJ with medicine
Tumblr media
Oh hello, ANF, you’re back.
This flashback is annoying on so many levels... Alright, AJ is sick and everyone has told Clementine that there’s nothing anyone can do to help him, but she gets her hands on the name of a medicine she thinks will help. So she sneaks around and finds the medicine, but of course, she can only give it to him as an injection.
Instead of doing the smart thing and taking the medicine and moving away from the group to give to AJ in a safe location where she won’t get caught, she sticks around for Lingard to wake up, and he’s high outta his mind so that’s fun.
He tells her that it’s not going to help him and to just put it back. She knows what they do to thieves around here but he won’t tell anyone. It’s up to you, do you put it back or inject AJ?
Well, guess what?
Clementine gets caught either way and the drugs are either in AJ or smashed on the floor, David becomes a flipflop with his “We shoulda abandoned AJ long ago to die >:O but also you can’t take him because he’ll die out there!” and they kick Clementine out for being a dingus.
And here’s the kicker.... AJ is alive no matter what. He gets through whatever sickness he had and went to the ranch. You injecting him or not did nothing... no side affects, nothing. I’m sure they didn’t want to go super dark by killing AJ off [except they kinda did since there’s a lot of scrapped concepts with a dead AJ] depending on if you injected him or not..... but at least it would’ve been something. Hell, maybe no kill him since we need him for TFS, but maybe it would affect if he went to the ranch or not to begin with. Maybe if he got worse, they sent him somewhere else and that would affect where Clementine went to get him back for the flashbacks in TFS.
Again, you could look at this as what Clementine would be willing to do for AJ........ but it doesn’t enhance the story in any meaningful way.  It affects what Clementine you get in the end, but that’s just some text on the screen.
I dunno, this choice could’ve done something... that’s all I’m saying.
1. Teaching Sarah to shoot
Tumblr media
Once again, Sarah finds herself on my dumb lists... and not in a good way. Sigh.
Alright, you wanna talk about the worst choice that meant absolutely nothing? Nothing at all?
You get back to the cabin in S2 after leaving either Nick or Pete, and Carlos asks you to watch Sarah while they go out to look for the rest. You find Sarah, you can take some pictures, and then she asks where her dad is.
She gets anxious and sits on the floor....but then she does something interesting. She pulls out a gun she found. It’s not loaded or anything, but she asks Clementine if she can teach her how to use it.
And you’re probably thinking, “Oh, that’s a good idea. She should know how to use a gun, but her dad is too over protective. This could help us in the future.” or “Oof, no, Sarah isn’t ready for a gun. What if that comes back and bites me in the ass? What if she shoots someone I don’t want her to shoot?”
Well, don’t worry your pretty little head because nothing comes of this.
Nothing.
You teach her to shoot, and it does nothing. She never picks up another gun ever again, she never does anything with what you taught her, and nothing happens.
Just.... wow.
At the very least... with the other picks on this list, you could stretch and make some sort of excuse for it having an impact on the story.... but this doesn’t do anything to further your relationship with Sarah, Carlos never finds out about it, there’s never a point where Sarah admits she found the gun, she doesn’t use it, she doesn’t give it to Clementine or anyone else to you, and it does nothing.
This scene could be completely removed and it wouldn’t change anything... which honestly, is something I can’t say for the rest of these dumb choices.
That’s what makes this the ultimate pointless choice.
---
Dishonorable Mentions
-Asking to go with Mike at the end of S2. Arvo will shoot Clementine no matter what and it’s dumb. -Keeping quiet about Mari when David asks you to. It doesn’t affect anything other than David being upset for two seconds, but you get thrown out and it doesn’t matter. -Trying to help Christa in S2 ep1. Either way, she gets shot at and you never see her again and it just doesn’t matter. -Honestly 400 Days.... just all of it. The only thing you get is pointless cameos if you get everyone to go with Tavia.  -Being nice to Larry. He still treats you like shit and accuses you of being a bitch to him anyway soooo.... yeah.  -Fixing the swing in S1 ep2. If you don’t do it, then Andy will.
----
It’s pretty telling that this T5F is just S2 and ANF choices.... sigh. Like sure, there are a lot of choices that don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things in S1 and TFS but most of those I can justify as being there to shape your story and are impactful in different ways..... but boy, there’s just something about S2 and ANF and their choices, isn’t there?
Anyway, what do you guys think? Do you agree with my choices or nah? Do you have a choice you don’t like and think is meaningless that wasn’t on the list? Lemme know, I’d love to hear it!
Have any suggestions for future T5F’s? Feel free to send ‘em in! :D

Also is Rue not a lesbian?? Why was I expecting elliot to try and make out with her during that scene alskdfhhk i didn't want it to happen but god did i think it was gonna go there-
this entire season has people acting like that special episode with rue didn't happen btw and that pisses me off so much?? she's literally like cassie in the sense that she's so heavily reliant on male validation. the only difference is she was seeking male validation so she could conquer femininity and have people see her as a woman (smth most euphoria viewers probably can't relate to) and cassie was doing it to fill the hole her dad left in her life (smth they can probably relate to lmao shit dads are everywhere)
am i saying a lot of the hate jules gets is because of transphobia yes exactly u got it and i'm correct, she would not be getting this much shit if she was cis because then her issues with male validation would be like cassie's and thus more relatable but apparently no one is ready for that take ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
from an objective perspective tho oof elliot's song took up way too much time still and he had the audacity to say he was still working on it???? babe that was like three minutes and okay this tweet encapsulates it all actually-
Tumblr media
i didn't look away from the screen for a second until he started singing lmao
dominic i know you're like part filipino askdhfghk this isn't personal at all lmao but god,,,, your character is shit <33 very unnecessary <3333
BUT OKAY NO JULES IS AN ENTIRE POST OF HER OWN IT'S WHAT SHE DESERVES AFTER SAM ASSASSINATED HER CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AKSDHFGHKL
CASSIE
CASSIE AND MADDY
FUCK
Tumblr media
for real tho this is me after a math test that shit is beating my ass every day of the week-
but god,,,,, oof. i really wish we saw more of maddy beating her up they could have cut the elliot song to do that oKAY I'M SORRY I'M DONE
I STILL,,, IDK BEFORE THIS EPISODE I COULD FEEL FOR CASSIE A LITTLE, HELLO FELLOW DADDY ISSUES BITCHES, BUT AAAAAA YEAH NO LAKSDHFGHKL THE WAY SHE HOPPED UP ON THAT STAGE READY TO WHOOP HER SISTER'S ASS HAS ME OFFICIALLY HATING HER MORE THAN FEELING FOR HER 😭😭😭
i think,, i think i'm done for now lmao see y'all in 2024 um.
i'm gonna go watch killing eve now <33

Hi! I love your work and I’m in serious need for some hurt/comfort..Can you do prompts 9. “Did it mean anything to you? Did I mean anything to you? 11. “I loved you.” “Then why did you let (her/him/them) get in between us?” with Sonny please? Thanks!!
Assaulted
A/N: Oof, this was a request! The first part was based off of that one episode (I think when they find out about Noah’s dad) where Sonny’s undercover at a sex trafficking party and focusing on asses...I mean, same dude, but come on. There wasn’t a whole lot of comfort at the end of this, but assume that they work it out.

You grit your teeth, nostrils flared as you watched the video feed in the NYPD van. The feed was zeroed-in on a woman’s ass, a tight dress pulled across her curves, as she danced with a john. Amanda, who was seated at the controls in front of you, subtly glanced at you, then at Olivia.
“Maybe we should remind Carisi that we’re seeing this, too,” Amanda suggested in a soft voice. Olivia nodded, shooting you an apologetic look. But you were still glaring at the screen, your arms crossed over your chest, fingers digging into your arms. You and Sonny had disclosed your relationship to the department, and while you knew he’d never cheat on you, he also had a wandering eye that you weren’t fond of…and this wasn’t the first time you’ve caught him staring at another woman’s butt.
The camera feed moved down to Sonny’s phone, Olivia’s message on the screen telling him to stop taking in the sights. He quickly tucked his phone away, going back to scanning the johns at the party.
“When can we move in?” you asked tersely. You wanted tonight over with, partly because you wanted to bust this sex trafficking ring, but mostly because Sonny now knew he was in the doghouse, and the make-up sex would be mind-blowing.
Olivia glanced at you before her eyes returned to the screen. “We need just a little bit more,” she replied. But you never got to find out what else Liv was looking for, not when a scuffle broke out and a gun was being brandished. You, Olivia, Amanda, and an army of officers stormed the party, making arrests and getting the girls out of there.
Olivia gave you the pleasure of arresting Sonny, who rose his hands and said a very sincere, “I’m sorry,” to you as you cuffed him, leading him out the door.
 *********************
Once at the station, Sonny apologized profusely, begging for your forgiveness, and promising to go to confession for it.
“Look, Son, what’s done is done.” You sighed, closing your eyes. “As long as it’s only looking, and nothing else—”
“Of course! I’d never cheat on you, doll. I love you, and I’ll prove it to you when we get home, just how much I love you,” Sonny replied, giving you a heated kiss. You resisted a moment before melting into his touch, kissing him back just as fiercely. It wasn’t like you didn’t look at attractive people as they walked by. Besides, you trusted Sonny with your life.
Slowly, you pulled out of his embrace. “Come on; we gotta go interview the girls,” you said, pulling him towards an interrogation room. You opened the door, Sonny following close behind you, but you paused for the briefest moment—the woman you were interviewing was the one that Sonny had been checking out at the party.
She seemed surprised to see Sonny there, no longer in his baggy, undercover attire, but in his crisp suit he normally wore to work. “What’s going on here?” she asked.
You gave her a warm smile, despite the anger that you were shoving down. What did she have that you didn’t? “We’re going after your pimp, and we’d like your help,” you explained. She looked doubtful, and you continued, “we can keep you safe; you never have to go back to that hell.”
“You can’t keep me safe,” she replied in a small voice. Then, louder, “and besides, I liked my life just how it was. Now let me go…before….”
“Before your pimp beats you?” you finished for her. You sighed; this was getting you nowhere. “Look, why don’t you tell us your name, first? I’m [Y/N], and this is Sonny,” you gestured to Sonny, who was still standing next to you, watching the interaction, waiting for an opening. Either this woman would be completely against talking to a man, or she’d do anything he’d ask…and Sonny was still trying to gauge her. But you noticed how her eyes sparkled when they slid over his tall form, and you clenched your jaw.
Finally, she looked back to you. “I’m thirsty. Got pepsi or something in this place?” she asked with an annoyed voice.
You gave her a hard look, and Sonny said, “yeah, we do.” Not taking his eyes off the woman’s face, he suggested softly, “[Y/N], why don’t you grab her a drink, eh?”
You told yourself over and over again that this was simply an interrogation tactic, that Sonny was playing her. But you were still seeing red as you left the room, heading for the vending machine.
“He’s just doing his job,” Olivia said as you came back, leaning against the glass and watching, listening.
“I know,” you replied, coming to stand next to her. Sonny had moved to lean against the table in the middle of the room, standing directly in front of the woman, close enough to touch her. You took this time to really look at her; her long, straight, brown hair, her small, perky breasts, her impossibly long legs, and her butt that Sonny had been so enraptured by. All of this was wrapped in a skin-tight, black dress that barely covered her chest and ended mid-thigh; though, the material was hiked up since she was sitting.
“We really can protect you,” Sonny was saying softly to her.
She looked up at him through her eyelashes, with her big doe eyes. “I bet you could protect me…but I don’t trust the police, Son….” She ran her fingertips over his thigh, and you’d seen enough. You made your way to the door with her soda, ripping it open. Sonny had the decency to look embarrassed, standing up straight from the table, but the woman just smiled knowingly at you.
“Here’s your pepsi,” you spat, placing it down hard in front of her. But before you could say anything else, Olivia was at the door, pulling you and Sonny out, but you could hurt your chances for information because of your anger.
“What the fuck was that?” you half-yelled at Sonny as the door closed behind him.
He put his hands up in surrender. “What? I got information from her, something that wasn’t happening with both of us, there!”
“Oh? And what information did you get, huh?”
Sonny went on the defensive, his voice rising to match yours. “I got her name, I got the name of her pimp, and I got when and where the next party is!”
You glared at him, pissed he was able to seduce information from her. “How do you know she’s not playing you—”
“Enough you two,” Olivia ordered, her voice cutting through yours. She waited a moment before continuing, “we’ll look into what Emma told you. We’re also going to put her in protective custody until we get her pimp, which Sonny found out is named Clayton.” You nodded, trying to let your rage and jealousy drain from you, but it wasn’t going away so easily. “Now go home; it’s been a long night. I’ll see you two in the morning.”
 ********************
It had been a week since the bust at the party, since the night Emma had come into the precinct. You and Sonny had worked through it; it was an interrogation technique, to flirt for information. And Sonny reassured you—with his words, his mouth, his fingers, and every other part of him—that he loved you and only you.
But nothing, nothing, could prepare you for when you had left for the day, realized you had forgotten your jacket, and rushed back in, only to find Emma pushing Sonny against the lockers, kissing him. His hands were on her shoulders, and as you watched, she wrapped a leg around his waist.
“What the fuck?!” you screamed. Turning on your heel, you headed for the door, needing fresh air, and to get that image out of your head.
Sonny pushed Emma off him, his voice calling out your name as he followed you. “[Y/N]! Come back, please! Talk to me…let me explain—”
“I don’t want to hear it,” you retorted, your voice venomous. You made it outside, Sonny right behind you.
“Please, doll, let me—”
You whipped around to glare at him, pointing a finger into his face. “No Dom! Just, no. I’m done, I’m….” Tears appeared in your eyes, and you cursed yourself for crying. You didn’t want to waste tears on him when you were fuming. In a soft voice, barely audible above the hustle and bustle of NYC, you murmured, “Did it mean anything to you? Did I mean anything to you?”
You watched Sonny’s heart break in his chest, his face falling and tears appearing in his own eyes. “Of course, you did—you do. You’re…you’re everything—”
“Well, you have a funny way of showing it,” you replied, waving down a cab. Sonny could do nothing but stand and watch as you got in, the cab pulling away from the curb.
 *******************
Sonny texted and called you a few times over the next few days. You ignored him, trying to work through your anger so that you could at least be levelheaded when you talked to him next. But not being able to go to work, and living in a fucking hotel room, wasn’t helping your rage. You had thought about going to your shared apartment when Sonny was at work, but the thought on packing things up filled you with dread. So, you waited, trying to work through your emotions.
Suddenly, there was a knock at your door, Sonny’s voice coming through it. “[Y/N], I know you’re in there. Come on, let’s talk.” You folded your arms across your chest stubbornly, not moving from your bed. You could hear him sigh, then say something muffled to someone else. There was a beep, and then your door was opened, the hotel manager having let him in.
“Fucking really? Take a hint, Dom—”
“Please, just…please listen,” Sonny said, coming into your room and closing the door behind him. You glared daggers at him, ignoring the way your heart strained at seeing him. He looked haggard; his face scruffy, his eyes bloodshot, his hair a mess, his Henley untucked and stained.
“Fine. What do you want to say?” you spat, trying to hang onto that anger that was quickly fleeing at the sight of his defeated form.
“I—I loved you, still do, with all my heart—”
“Then why did you let her get in between us?” you asked softly, and the fight drained from you as he winced, as if you had hit him.
Sonny looked crestfallen. “I—I didn’t, though. That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you; Emma…she—she assaulted me…not that I’m pressing charges, but I swear to you—”
“And you expect me to believe that? After you were ogling her? Flirting with her?”
He cleared his throat. “I can prove it. There’re security cameras in the locker room…. I—Liv already showed me the footage.” Sonny’s shoulders slumped, and he looked at the floor. “Ya know, we’ve had so many victims tell us that they…that they freeze. And I never really understood that until now…. When—when Emma pushed up against me…when she kissed me, I—I froze. I couldn’t bring myself to shove her….”
You scrutinized Sonny, trying to see any trace of a lie, but you only found a sad, remorseful man. “Fine. Show me,” you said, getting up.
 ********************
The ride to the precinct was quiet, the wait for TARU to pull up the footage even quieter, tension thick in the air. You watched with wide eyes as Emma entered the precinct, just after the elevator doors closed behind you—she had taken the stairs. She had quickly found Sonny, started touching him: his arms, his chest. Being the good detective he was, Sonny tried to gently stop her, push her away. You watched as he led her to an interview room, then he left to go to the vending machine, presumably to get her a drink. On his way back, Emma had cornered him in the locker room, which you had to pass through to get to the vending machine. She reached out to touch Sonny’s chest, but he gave her a little shove, obviously losing patience with her. And that’s when she flung herself onto him, kissing him, and he stumbled backwards from the force of her body colliding with his. He was pressed against the lockers, and he dropped the can of soda, his hands hanging limply for a moment. Then his hands went to her shoulders, and he tried to push her, but she latched on tighter, pulling herself closer.
You watched, tears in your eyes as you appeared in the doorway, catching Emma sexually assaulting your boyfriend, and blaming him for it. You could feel Sonny’s gaze on your face as you watched the screen, even as TARU stopped the playback. Your heart was in your throat, and you tried to swallow past the lump.
“D-Dominick…I’m so…” you started, but he cut you off with a hug, his arms pulling you tightly to his chest.
“I know—I get it, okay? I understand,” he murmured into your hair. You hugged him back, sobbing softly into his chest.
“I love you, Dom…I’m so sorry, baby. I love you,” you whispered, tugging him impossibly closer.
“I love you, too, sweetheart; I would never cheat on you, ever.” Sonny’s long fingers stroked your hair. “Come on, come home with me, please. I’ve missed you so much.”
You were already nodding against him. “I’ve missed you, too.” You both headed out of the precinct, an arm wrapped possessively around each other. “I’m gonna punch Emma in the face next time I see her,” you promised.
Sonny laughed. “That’s fair…. At least she gave up her pimp.”
“Yeah, but I don’t share.”

“Okay!” Alex bellows and claps her hands together, “Next game! You gotta partner up!”
Nia scoots in close around the coffee table and pushes into Brainy’s side, while Kelly settles down on the arm of the chair that Alex is sitting in and cards a hand through her hair.
“I’m with Lena!” Sam claims across the room from the kitchen and runs over with two precariously balanced glasses of wine in one hand, plopping down next to Lena on the couch.
Kara, hunched over in front of the fridge, stands up quickly and lets out an indignant scoff, “That’s not fair! Lena is my partner by default. House rules.” Kara closes the door and jams her finger into the scoreboard stuck the front of the fridge. “See!”
“She’s my best friend!” Kara and Sam say in unison, and Alex swears she can see her sister’s eyes pulse with a burst of hot anger and sinks down into her chair a little further.
“I am the property of no man.” Lena counters, which causes an elbow to jab her in the side from a smirking Sam.
“Ain’t that the truth,” Sam says conspiratorially under her breath, and Lena snorts into her wine glass as she brings it to her lips.
Kara’s brow crinkles as she makes her way over to group and takes a spot on the floor across from the couch, “Fine, I guess I’m the game master.”
Kelly glances down at Alex, who gives a small grimace as she reaches into her pocket and removes her phone, “Uh, okay. So I-..”
“Not going as planned?” Kelly dips her head and whispers into her girlfriend's ear.
“Nope,” Alex reponds under her breath with a pop.
Nia clears her throat and gives Alex a pointed look from across the room and motioning with her eyes discreetly towards the couch.
Alex opens her mouth to speak, but realizes she is taking too long and juts her hand with her phone out to Kara, “You gotta read the questions and keep score.”
Kara eyes her sister suspiciously and she plucks the phone from her hand. She scrolls through the screen for a few seconds before glancing up and looking around the room.
“Really?” Kara deadpans.
Alex tries her best to hide her pained expression, so she picks up her beer bottle and presses it to her lips and tilts her head back with an emphatic thumbs up.
This is going to be a disaster.
Kara rolls her eyes and places the phone down on the table and picks up a pen and paper to keep score, “Okay, so, you gotta guess the answers based on what you know about your partner.”
“Like the Newlywed game?” Nia asks, perking up.
Brainy tilts his head, taking in his girlfriends information, “Yes. Exactly like the Newlywed game, we discussed this earli-.. OOF! ” He is effectively silenced by a sharp elbow in his side. Brainy clears his throat and forces a smile, “continue” he whines through a breath and raises his hand weakly, relinquishing the floor back to Kara.
“What is the Newlywed game?” Lena asks, arching a quizzical eyebrow.
Sam waves her off, “Don’t mind her. She has never had a stay-home-from-school-sick day and watched daytime tv.”
Lena scoffs and presses hand to her chest in offense, “I would never watch daytime tv.”
Sam turns her hands over in a so-there gesture, “See.”
Kara smiles softly, because of course Lena doesn’t watch daytime tv. Though, she does remember the one time she had to convince a hungover and couch-bound Lena not to order Lifelock  just because “Jane Rizzoli said so.” Lena had relented only after Kara made her a mimosa to nurse her headache and sang “Take my identity as a Luthor, take all my money too, for I can’t help falling in lo-..” until Lena’s bright laughter had cut her off and filled the room.
“Hey,” Alex leans forward, snapping her fingers in front of her sister's face, “ground control to Major dork. Let’s go!”
Kara shakes her head, loosening the memory from her thoughts, but a floating warmth remains in the center of her chest. She adjusts her glasses and smiles in Lena’s direction, who has a single finger pressed against her lips and a curious look.
“Wha-.. oh, yeah, right. So, I ask a question, and both of you come up with an answer. If the answers match, you get a point.”
Everyone nods agreeably, and Kara lifts her glass, and takes a long pull of the amber, alien liquid inside, “First question, what is your partner’s favorite movie?”
Alex and Kelly raise their hands in unison, “Terminator 2!”
Alex pumps her fist and gives her girlfriend a high-five, “Yes! And yours is....” Alex snaps her fingers, hoping that perhaps it will jumpstart her brain, “honestly, anything black and white. She’s a sucker for classics.”
Kelly nods and presses a quick kiss to the crown of Alex’s head.
Brainy’s favorite is ‘any movie with Keanu Reeves’, which causes a ten minute reprieve of the game as he launches into nearly a film-thesis-length speech about the transgender allegory of The Matrix until Nia clasps her hand over his mouth.
“Babe, I love that you know that, but just answer the question.” she says.
“Ah, yes. Nia Nal’s favorite movie is the Harry Potter series. She is a Gryffindor and her Patronus is a dapple grey stallion.”
Kara tallies two points each under their score column, and taps her pen against the table with growing impatience as Sam stares intently at Lena.
“God, you had the VHS box set in college. I can picture it on your shelf.. fuck, I can’t remember it!” Sam throws her hands up in frustration.
“Titanic.” Kara says under her breath to no one, and averts her gaze down the point sheet in front her, because how could Sam not know that? Best friend, her alien ass.
“Yours was that obscure French one, Jeux d’enfant,” Lena laughs, “God, how many times did you watch that? I swear you just wanted to impress that French exchange girl. What was her name?”
Sam lets go of a breath, “Esmée.” she says, dreamily, “I could be living in the French countryside right now as a vineyard wife.”
Lena gives Sam a playful swat against the arm, “What’s yours, Kara?” Sam asks between playful attacks and fits of laughter from her friend.
“Working Girl,” Kara and Lena say in unison, and Lena’s laughter dies down, “she always cries at the end.” she says, punctuating with a wink at Kara.
“All of the hair in that movie is just so horrifically 80’s. It would make anyone cry.” Kara counters as she marks down a one under Lena and Sam score column.
The game continues, and Alex and Kelly are so finely tuned that Kara reminds herself to tell her sister to wife Kelly quickly, because she has already started a mental catalogue of what she is going to need for their wedding.
“Favorite TV show?”
“Game of Thrones!”, “Greys Anatomy!”
“Worst handwriting?”
“Alex. She writes like she finished medical school.”
Brainy and Nia seem to find a rhythm, even if Brainy keeps going on tangents about each of his answers.
“Her favorite musical artist is Taylor Swift, but not 1989 era Taylor. She considers that album too popsugar polished, especially since it is widely believed that she played up her so-called ‘beef’ with fellow singer, Katy Perry.”
Kara’s scoring has started on a sideways slant, because every time she ends up on Sam and Lena, she finds herself drinking more and tempering down her annoyance at Sam who can’t seem answer one fucking question right.
Kara instead has started a running tally in the corner of the score sheet, checking off each answer as she mentally screams.
Lena’s favorite junk food? Big belly burger. Check . Silliest pet peeve? Lena hates fliers and leaflets because “They are a waste of our time and trees, Kara. Honestly, if one more follower of Rao tries to shove one in my hand, I’m going to shove a redwood tree up his ass.” Check.
Lena’s favorite color is purple. Check. Lena hates salmon. Check. Lena doesn’t like tequila, but if she is buzzed enough will take a shot of it, but only with lick of salt and a lime as a chaser. Check. Lena hates her brother. Triple Check. Lena takes her coffee black. Check. And Lena always looks like she stepped out of a noir film with a dark shade of red on her lips that Kara is sure, ‘so sure’, would not smudge if she was kissed. Check (tbd).
Kara is throwing her head back, finishing off the liquid in her glass, burning and hot in the back of her throat when Sam answers ‘Maleficent’ for what Disney character Lena would be.
“Oh my god,” Kara shakes her head, “how are you so bad at this?”
Sam seems taken aback and looks between Lena and Kara, “Excuse me?”
“This.” Kara gestures towards Lena and then drunk and loose over the scribbled score sheet in front of her, “You haven’t gotten one answer right. Lena is carrying your team. You,” Kara sits up straight, trying to center herself but sways as she points an accusatory finger in Sam’s direction, “suck.”
Sam looks around the room. Kelly and Nia are both suddenly very interested in their phones, while Alex’s eyes have grown wide, wondering briefly if her sister is going to rear up off the floor and throttle their friend. Lena is staring at Kara with a bewildered look from over the rim of her wine glass while Brainy’s searching eyes move across the room from each person, trying to form the proper reaction to this level of intensiveness.
“Relax, Danvers. It’s just a game.” Sam scoffs as she leans forward to pick up her wine glass from the table.
“No!” Kara shouts a little too loudly, and brings her hand down on the table, splintering a corner and nearly rattling the drinks off of it, “No.”
“Kara,” Kelly leans forward, and with her best therapist voice, tries to defuse the situation, “perhaps we should just take a break from the game, and get some wate-..”
“No. Anyone with eyes knows that Lena is Moana. She would cross oceans and fight Gods and do whatever it took to do the right thing.” Kara says resolutely towards Kelly, and then turns back to Sam, “Lena is Moana. She is a Queen and she is good, and she isn’t fucking ‘Maleficent’!” Kara punctuates with air quotes.
Sam’s eyes grow wide, and she settles a steely glare on Kara, “Fine. You wanna do this?”
“You’re damn right I do.” Kara bites back, pushing her sleeves up her arms, “Lets go.”
“Well, fuck me I guess.” Kelly mutters under her breath as she sits back, defeated. Alex cautiously leans forward, and takes her phone from in front of her sister.
Brainy narrows his eyes and glances between Kara and Sam, “Am I to believe they are fighting for Lena’s honor?”
Nia waves a hand frantically in Brainy's face, “Just.. shush.” she says squeezing her eyes shut, “Shhh.”
Sam finishes the last of the wine in her glass, and juts out her arm in Lena’s direction, a silent demand for a refill. Lena rears back and plucks the wine glass out of her friends hand at the stem, “Oh kay, then.” and cautiously moves from the couch towards the kitchen.
Kara and Sam’s eyes never leave the others as Lena scoots past.
Alex clears her throat and lets a silent prayer float up into the rafters of her sisters loft that Kara has home insurance in the event Sam ends up dangling over the fire escape.
“Describe your partner in one word.” Alex says, and glances up from her phone.
“Bitch.”
“Good.”
Kara nearly digs her fingers into the hardwood floor beneath her.
“How are we gonna keep score?” Nia whispers over the table to Alex.
Alex grits her teeth at the realization and shoots the woman in the kitchen a sympathetic look, mouthing “I’m sorry.”
“Oh, no.” Lena shakes her head, “No.” she says, pointedly.
Brainy perks up, “So Lena must determine the answer, and then deem one worthy of her affections.”
Nia smacks him in the chest.
A pair of bright blue and honeyed eyes look towards Lena, who is gaping in the kitchen with one quaking hand holding a scotch tumbler and a wine bottle in the other.
“You must decree it so, Lena. Who gets the point?” Brainy bellows enthusiastically, and then flips a single kernel of popcorn into his mouth with a smile.
“Where the hell did you get popcorn?” Nia asks, dumbfounded.
“Inconsequential!” Brainy declares, shoveling a fistful into his mouth.
Lena swallows hard, and dips her head towards the living room, “Kara.”
“HA!” Kara barks, and raises her hand, which is promptly high-fived by Brainy.
Sam cranes her neck side to side and shakes out her arms, “Again.”
Alex glances up at Kelly, “Is this how I die?”
Kelly gives a noncommittal shrug, and leans over her girlfriend's shoulder, scrolling through the questions on her phone, “What is your partner’s worst habit?”
“Biting her nails when she is nervous.” Sam says, glancing at Lena as she sits, who promptly pulls her thumb away from her mouth.
“Running on three hours of sleep and thinking of a large, black coffee as a meal.” Kara counters.
All eyes land on Lena, leaving her drumming heart echoing in her ears and the steady crunchcrunchcrunch of popcorn filling the room, “Nails. It is horribly unsanitary.” she says with a wince.
Kara curses in Kryptonian under her breath, and Sam sits back on the couch, arms crossed with a smug smile plastered across her face.
Nia raises up on her knees, and reaches across the table, quickly snatching the phone from Alex’s hand, “My turn!” she declares and scrolls for a few moments, “Ideal vacation?”
“Beach, getting her cute, pale ass burnt in the sun with a margarita in her hand.” Sam waggles her eyebrows, and nudges Lena with her elbow.
Lena sways and keeps her eyes set on a single thing; the door, her only escape from this current hell on earth.
“Swiss alps. Skiing and just relaxing in the lodge,” Kara answers with a smile that shifts with a distant look, “bundled in some cozy sweater, hands curled around a cup of Irish coffee. She’d probably read a book and enjoy the quiet of the falling snow. She’d doze off on the couch by the fire, and she’d look so at peace and warm that you wouldn’t want to move her, but you know she’d complain in the morning about the knots in her neck, an-..”
“Okay,” Sam raises her hand, “we get it. You’ve put a lot of thought into this.”
Lena turns her head and looks at Kara, who gives her a soft smile, one that she returns.
“Oh, you gotta give Kara that one.” Kelly says, propping her head up in her hand, nearly swooning.
Alex takes in her girlfriend’s dreamy reaction and looks around cluelessly, “I’ve lost her.”
“Whatever,” Sam rolls her eyes, “you’ve clearly never seen her in a bikini.”
“Oh, snap!” Brainy bounces in his spot.
Nia places a calming hand on his shoulder, “Not the right time, babe.”
“Yeah,” Lena concedes with a sheepish smile that she masks behind the tumbler at her lips, “you get that one.”
Kara straightens and gives a quick nod and bright smile towards Lena, who gives a subtle wink.
Brainy flips up fingers on his hand, “So, that makes two for Kara and one for Sam. At what score does Lena determine the winner?”
“Best of five?” Nia offers, and Lena tips her glass towards her friend, “Five is good.”
Nia hands the phone back to Alex, who smiles as she lands on the next question, “Who is your partner's hero?”
Lena nearly spit-takes her scotch, but instead dribbles it down her chin and shirt.
“Well, it sure as hell wasn't Reign, that’s for sure.” Sam mutters under her breath. Lena gives her friend a sympathetic smile, and a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
“Oh, I’ve got this,” Kara says, pushing up on her knees so she is nearly level with Lena on the couch. She clears her throat, and pulls back her hair into a tight ponytail, “Supergirl may have saved me, but Kara Danvers,” she gives a sly smirk, donning her best Lena impression, “you are my hero.”
Lena pulls her bottom lip between her teeth and forces a tight smile, “Oh, so you can do me now? You think you’re so clever.”
“Oh my god,” Sam breaths out under breath, and looks over to Alex, “do they even hear themselves? Are they always this stupid?”
Alex closes her eyes and gives a pained nod, “ No, and always.”
Kara quirks an eyebrow and shuffles on her knees closer to the couch, “Am I wrong?” she asks, all the alcohol having burned out of her system. She is simply gloating for the sake of gloating at this point.
Plus she likes the flush that is creeping up Lena’s neck, and settling in her cheeks.
Nia leans over towards Brainy, “Now you can ‘ oh snap.’ ” she whispers.
Alex puts down her phone, “Sorry, Sam. It goes to Kara in the best of five.”
Brainy suddenly stiffens, “Wait,” he turns fully towards Nia, “this is not going according to our original plan.” he says, conspiratorially.
“Ya think?”
“Lena was supposed to partner with Kara, so that Kara would gradually be led into her feelings for Lena. Sam has co-opted this entire operation!” he hisses, “every scenario that I ran had Lena and Kara confessing their feelings to each other with 98.6% success rate, leading to their eventual coupling.”
“Does she always have that lovesick puppy thing going on with her face when she looks at you?” Sam says out of the side of her mouth.
“Samantha!” Lena admonishes.
“What?” Kara’s gaze shifts from Lena to the woman beside her, and a warm pulse flickers behind her eyes.
“Oh, chill with the theatrics. I already handed your ass to you once, I can do it again.” Sam says a little drunk and with far too much bravado.
A round ‘WOAH’s’ quickly moves throughout the loft. Kara is on her feet, along with Alex.
“I’m going to say it. Lena must know how Kara feels. Their future depends on it.” Brainy says resolutely, and stands, taking in a deep breath.
“Brainy, don’t!” Nia pleads, pulling on her boyfriend's arm, trying to reel in the control of a situation that has clearly lost it.
Kara takes a confrontational step forward and cocks her head to the side, “You need a flight back to Metropolis?” she says raising a fist, “Oh? You have a layover? Then I’ve got your connecting right here.” Kara mocks, raising her other fist.
“How about I dangle you over the fire escape and drop you off the side of a building again?” Sam sneers.
“HEY! WOAH!” Lena stands abruptly, positioning herself between the blonde and brunette, “We are all friends here. What is going on?!”
“She started it!” Sam and Kara say in unison, pointing an accusatory finger at the other.
“Lena! You must know that Kar-..” but Brainy is effectively silenced by his girlfriend’s hand clasping tightly around his mouth.
“Shut it.” Nia says curtly, and pulls Brainy back down the floor with her.
Sam closes her eyes for a moment and shakes her head, “It’s just a game. Why are you so bent out of shape about it?”
Kara scoffs, “Because you claim to be Lena’s best friend, and you don’t know a damn thing about her!”
“Defensive much?” Sam counters, and arches an eyebrow as her eyes flit to Lena, “I know more than you think.”
“Sam.” Alex warns, quietly.
Sam scoffs, and rolls her eyes, “Watch this.” she says, raising a finger, “I’m going to take care of this in less time than it took you dummies to set up this game night coup.”
An offended noise rumbles in the back of Alex’s throat, “Wh-..what are you talking about?”
Sam cranes her head back, “Ugh, you’re what? The director of a covert government agency? Kelly has a Phd in psychology, so she should really be better at this. Nia is...” Sam glances down to the woman on the floor.
“A journalist.” Nia finishes.
“A journalist, and Brainy is what, a twelfth generation Texas Instruments calculator?”
Brainy’s mouth falls open, and he lets out an offended, high pitched whine.
Sam turns her attention back to Kara, “You wanna be Lena’s partner?”
“More than anything.” Kara grinds out.
“Oh my god. Grant me the serenity.” Sam mumbles under her breath, “Lena, you have what? An IQ of 168?”
Lena straightens slightly, and tilts her head, “180, why?”
“Because you’re the dumbest genius I know.”
Lena’s mouth drops open, “I beg your pardon?”
“And Kara” Sam glances over Lena’s shoulder,  “I bet you learned calculus at seven.”
“Five.” Kara says, the anger draining from her tone.
“And you probably know all about quantum entanglement.” Sam says with a smirk, which causes Lena to turn around with a surprised look.
“You do?!” Lena asks, affronted.
“Pfft, of course she does. She just likes to hear all the words that come out of your dumb, pretty face.” Sam says with a tone that leaves no room for an argument, “Do you know how long I had to hear Lena go on and on about your stupid, cute, dumbfounded face after that conversation?”
“You think I’m stupid?” Kara asks dumbly.
“You think I’m pretty?” Lena says, giving a hopeful smile.
Sam cuts her eyes to Alex, who raises a hand, effectively cutting her off before she has the chance to ask the question, “Yes, it is like this all the time.”
Sam sighs, “Look, I’m going to ask you both rapid fire questions. You need to answer at the same time.”
“Why?” Lena asks, glancing over her shoulder.
“Because we ,” Sam gestures vaguely around the living room, “can no longer live like this. Just humor me, okay?”
“Fine.” Lena says sharply and turns her attention back to Kara, “Ready?”
Kara gives a resolute nod.
“Okay, great. Favorite color?” Sam starts.
“Navy blue!”
“Purple.”
Lena and Kara both smile at each other, and Kara gives her a playful poke in the shoulder, “Nice.”
“Favorite junk food?”
“Eliza’s chocolate pecan pie, but that is only rivaled by Noonan’s sticky buns.”
“Those little scones from Dublin.”
Lena’s eyes flutter shut for a moment, “God, those are good.”
Kara leans forward and winks, “I’ll make a trip soon.”
Brainy narrows his eyes, “This is actually quite clever. I did not take this into account during my scenarios.”
Kelly, Alex, and Nia nod in agreement and continue watching in rapt awe.
“Who is the little spoon?”
“Lena.”
“Me.”
Sam pinches her chin, and taps her index finger against her lips, studying the two women in front of her, “Anything clicking yet for you two?” When she is met with resounding silence, she continues, “No? Great. This isn’t painful to watch at all.”
“What song best describes the other?”
“Where You Are.”
“Glass Vase Cello Case”
Kelly throws up her hands, and Alex sinks down into her chair, nearly collapsing onto the floor, “Oh my god, from the movie?!” she groans.
“I didn’t know Kara was so emo.” Nia whispers towards Alex.
“We went to Warped Tour three years straight,” Alex says, pulling herself back up into her chair, “It was a whole phase.”
“It wasn’t a phase.” Kara says, keeping her gaze fixed on Lena and taking a tentative step forward.
Sam quirks an eyebrow and takes a step back, “Phew, it’s like a sexual tension black hole,” she glances over her shoulder at the audience behind her, “how do you guys deal with this?”
“You get used to it.” Nia says nonchalantly, throwing some popcorn into her mouth.
“Right, so last question,” Sam claps her hands together and rubs them together,  “are you two in love with each other?”
The collective gasp nearly sucks the remaining air that Lena and Kara haven’t already burned up out of the room.
“Yes.”
“Undoubtedly.”
“Great!” Sam chirps, “My work here is done.”
There are a few beats of silence, and Lena blinks hard, breaking the moment, and bringing Kara back to reality along with her.
Kara’s hands shoot up and clasp over her mouth tightly, skewing her glasses, eyes wide behind the sideways frames
Lena lets out a bubble in incredulous laughter and shakes her head in disbelief, “Oh.”
“Ho-..how did you do that?” Alex asks.
“Sometimes you just gotta light a fire under their asses.” Sam chuckles, and smacks Lena firmly on the backside, the impact sending her forward and into Kara, who catches her with steady hands on her hips as Lena’s arms wrap around her neck
Brainy is the first to stand and offers his hand to Nia, assisting her to her feet, “This is our cue to leave.”
“Mhmm.” Alex hums in agreement, swatting Kelly against the leg, “Let's get out of here.”
Sam scoots past the two intertwined women and gives a sly wink as she passes, “This was a fuckin’ blast. You two have a great night.”
“Oh, they will. There is a 100% probability they will be engaging in a copious amount of lovemaking tonight.” Brainy says, gathering his and Nia’s jackets from the coat rack by the door.
Alex’s face scrunches up, “Ew. Copious?”
“Nice.” Sam says, opening the front door.
Brainy waves his hand towards nothing in particular as he steps into the hallway, “It will be an entire thing in the future. Any available surface will be a target for their insatiable sexual appetite: work desks, kitchen counters, the bathroom stall at Al’s, Alex’s bed.”
Alex turns on her heels in the threshold of the door, “My bed, Kara?!” she shouts as Kelly pulls her back, and leans around Alex, closing the door and muffling her girlfriend's curses.
“I-..I haven’t done anything yet?” Kara says confused, looking back at Lena, who is barely containing her laughter.
“What’s so funny?”
Lena loosens a hand from around Kara’s neck, and waves in between them, laughing “It’s just... have we always been that clueless?”
Kara snorts out her laughter, “I mean... I guess so?” she says with a growing, bright smile.
“Well,” Lena says quietly, bringing her hand up and removing Kara’s glasses, “I’m glad we figured it out.”
Kara hums her agreement, and kneads her fingertips firmly into Lena’s hips, and walks them around her lower back, pulling her in closer, “So now what? I heard something about copious lovemaking ” she says in her best Brainy impression.
Lena tosses the glasses behind her, somewhere forgotten on the couch, and wraps her arms around Kara’s neck, absently twirling soft, blonde hair around her fingers, “How about,” she presses a soft kiss to Kara’s cheek, who turns her head in an attempt to capture Lena’s lips, “you explain quantum entanglement to me.”
Kara drops her head to Lena’s shoulder, and sways in their embrace, groaning her displeasure into the fabric of her shirt before lifting her head and flipping her hair dramatically away from her face with a pout.
“Alexa, play Warped Tours greatest hits.”

My Thoughts on Castlevania S3
So I cant sleep, I've binged this series twice now & I really need to get this out. For context on me as a person, I am an LGBT+ WOC (specifically Asian & bisexual). Castlevania is my favourite game series + the reason why I pursued Game Design as my career. The show means the world to me & I thoroughly enjoyed s3 for the most part. I acknowledge the flaws & these r just MY opinions, they do not reflect the other mods intentionally in anyway.
The art + animation was so CLEAN. There was not one scene that did not take my breath away. The attention to detail was phenomenal I have no words to describe it.
Some of the best fight scenes ever just ridiculous, it's like john wick. The action is upped every installment + its just so CLEAN
The entire team puts so much time + effort Into making Sypha such an enjoyable badass it's so amazing. I am never disappointed with her, never ever.
The lesbians. Striga & Morana, god I wish that were me.
Isaacs character arc was so good. Like the budget really went to Sypha + Issac this season LOL
Sumi + Takka, they meant so much to me. I love them, I really do. I cant say I'm not hurt seeing them at the end. I'm actually very hurt, my heart aches. I never thought I'd get to see representation like that in a series that I loved but felt idk invisible to. LGBT Asians in a historical setting outside of Asia, it was just...a dream for me. I fell in love w/ them instantly & I think that's why I tend to over look their faults a lot.
But when you see yourself on screen in something you've dedicated years to & you're just finally seen its...its so hard. The last time I felt this full was Shiro from V*ltr*n and we know how that shit went down. Idk I'm happy for what I recieved, grateful even, for however short it was. I loved their characters, i love sumi + takka i just wish they got a better ending. They all deserved better
More info on Cho I really oof I could not have asked for more. This bitch was so extra & I love her
That music score, the sound design. Bruh I can't even with all this TALENT
I call episode 9 the Fuckening
The Portals to different worlds really confuses me but I am here for it, I hope it's just like an Easter egg to their future projects or that the writers were all high around then
I see u w/ that jojo reference, I bet you think ur all so slick
Hector's entire story arc, wtf was that? My guy you can't be like "Oh humanity is evil and stupid and eats shit" and then be that gullible I-ooof u frustrate me u beautiful boy. Like s2 implies he burns his family alive & I'm sitting here deadass like how the fuck did u even pull that off
The forgemasters being called pretty + their reactions were priceless
I want Richter Armitage to read me a bed time story
Trevor, Isaac & Sypha r just so well done this season
THE. HORSES. ARE. HEALTHIER.
Isaac rode a demonic purple unicorn around the world, he's my fucking hero
Alucard a confirmed bottom + bisexual thank u
The sex scenes were juxtaposed to the intense fighting but it felt awkward to watch but it was also very fitting in an odd way????
The dolls were hilarious
I learned a lot about toilet paper
The Judge being like "no kids run around in my village" is the equivalent to Mr. Mosby from Suit Life of Zack & Cpdy being like "dont u run in my lobby" AND I CALLED IT OUT AND AND WAS RIGHT
This show has taught me to never trust bald, old white men w/ interesting voices
Carmilla was just a hot ball of anger for the most Part & got annoying real fast, but that night robe tho. That was everything
I liked Lenore's character trope. Being that sweet innocent looking one, but shes really just this cruel evil bitch. Like everyone complains about Carmilla but at least shes evil to ur face until this fake bitch over here
Takka doesn't do mornings? Niether do I
Alucards wardrobe upgraded from deep Vs to fluffy Victorian Lestat cosplay
I really really want an empire run by 4 vampire sisters. Like I know they're all evil, cruel bitches but the sisterhood they showed for each other is such a goal. Women supporting women is amazing I just wish they weren't the fucking villains
A lot of my gripe is that all the rep I want & thirst for all falls into a negative category in some way/shape/form
This whole season feels more like a bridge to season 4. Kinda like a season full of fillers.
The ending hurts me I'm several ways, but objectively it is a haunting image and it really invokes so much on it's own w/o context backing it. W/ it tho, even more mindblowing and heartbreaking
Thank you so much for pronouncing Kolkata properly
I'm always blown away by character designs ur doing great sweety
The angel has the juiciest ass
Where the fuck is Cezar?
Aight I think that's all for now. If you got issues then come to me about it, not the other mods. But I'll let u know I will not tolerate racist shit (which I've gotten on IG already). I really needed to dump these feelings out. I stan Sumi & Takka, I love them and I'll carry all that on my own if I have to.
- Sincerely Mod Wall Chicken

Spinaraki Week Level 2 Day 6: Free Day
Stuck On You
Spinner wants to show his beloved boyfriend some good old fashioned love and affection. Unfortunately, his quirk decides to get in the way at the worst possible time.
~~~~~
Tomura Shigaraki was gorgeous, both inside and out, and the fact that Spinner seemed to be the only one to see that both thrilled him and frustrated him. Thrilled him because that meant he got to keep his boyfriend all to himself and no one was going to try to take him away. Frustrated him because come on, Tomura was an absolute catch and undoubtedly deserved to have crowds of people fawning over how perfect he was.
Take right now for example. It was the first time in a while that they got to have a break, and Spinner was trying to catch up on the new GTA game that he hadn’t been able to buy when everything went to hell. Tomura had been sitting flush against him on the couch, taking the time to mentally relax from the everything in his head, when Spinner had offhandedly mentioned that he’d probably need to pause the game to grab something to drink soon, and Tomura –thoughtful, compassionate, gorgeous Tomura– casually said that he’d go get something for him so he could keep playing.
It was during times like this where Spinner would be able to see the parallels in his relationship with those of the few couples he had seen in his town growing up, having never had any romantic experiences himself to compare anything to. In this particular moment, he saw a sentimental gesture often expressed by his mom to his dad. It went like this: Every time his dad was heavily invested in the show he was watching after a long day’s work, his mom would wordlessly grab a drink for him to sip on as he relaxed. Of course, that was only her half of the routine, because every time she turned to go back to taking care of the house, his dad would reach out and slap her butt –a love tap as he’d called it– with a cheeky grin, always eliciting a tiny snicker from his wife.
Spinner was well known to be the more impulsive one of the two. Hell, his impulsive act to blurt out a confession in the middle of a battle was what kickstarted their relationship in the first place. So, when he recognized the kind act Tomura was doing for him, he instantly wanted to show his appreciation and love for this wonderful man who made him happy every single day. And well, he already knew of at least one way to go about doing that. Without a second thought, Spinner reached out and gave his boyfriend a love tap.
Now, Spinner didn’t use his quirk that often, mainly because it wasn’t really useful except for certain situations. However, his quirk did have the tendency to unconsciously activate when his emotions ran high, and especially when he was feeling a little possessive. He could still remember the exasperated look on his mom’s face when she couldn’t get him to let go of whichever cool toy had caught his fancy at the store each week. Even with this knowledge, he wasn’t really ready for what happened next.
The moment his hand made contact with his boyfriend’s butt, he got stuck.
Spinner had all of two seconds to realize that his quirk had activated, and that Tomura was still walking with his hand firmly attached. All he could think as he started to be pulled off the couch by his own arm was ‘Well, shit’. And with that, Spinner was unceremoniously dragged off the couch and tumbled onto the floor, promptly taking Tomura down with him as he let out an undignified “oof”.
It took a moment for Spinner to come out of his dazed state, but once he did, he immediately started babbling apologies and half-baked explanations. “Oh shit! Oh fuck! I’m sorry! I can explain! It was an accident! My quirk just–”
“Whoa, whoa, calm down I’m fine!” Tomura assured his boyfriend, as he twisted around to reach out and hold Spinner’s beak shut. While the scaled man was forced to focus on his breathing, Tomura moved from lying on the floor to kneeling in front of his clearly embarrassed boyfriend.
“Now,” he asked as he let go of Spinner’s mouth, “What exactly happened that landed us here?”
Spinner covered his face with his hands and sighed, “You’re gonna think I’m a dumbass. I got all caught up in my feelings and I did something stupid because of them!”
Tomura gave him a skeptical look. “Spinner, how many times have I broken up with you because you did something stupid?”
“Um, zero?”
“That’s right, zero. Besides, you know there’s been plenty of times that both of us have done stupid shit ‘in the name of love’. Remember when I found Stain, shoved him into a box, gift wrapped it, and gave him to you as a birthday present?”
Spinner burst out laughing at the memory. The look of confusion on Stain’s face at the time was hilarious, though it couldn’t compare to how priceless it was to see the smug grin Tomura wore as he presented the gift. “I still can’t believe you willingly did that for me! I know how much you hate even hearing his name,” Spinner chuckled, “Okay, I’ll tell ya, just don’t laugh when I’m done. I don’t think I can get anymore mortified without having heart palpitations.”
So, Spinner spent the next few minutes laying out his thought process, from Tomura’s gesture, to how much it meant to him, to wanting to show his appreciation, and finally to the action itself. When he was done, the first thing out of Tomura’s mouth was, “Well, that explains why your hand is still attached to my ass.”
Spinner glanced down and, yep, his hand was still glued to his boyfriend’s butt, and he somehow didn’t notice it even when Tomura was maneuvering himself. “Oops,” said Spinner, “Hold on I can–”
“Nah, don’t bother. Freaking out about it is probably just gonna make your quirk grip harder from the stress.” Tomura said, clearly trying and somewhat failing to stop himself from snickering.
“Tomura!” Spinner whined, “I told you not to laugh yet!”
At this, Tomura couldn’t hold it in and started giggling, having just enough restraint to keep himself from laughing outright to spare Spinner’s feelings. “Sorry, I can’t help it! You just– you were trying to be all cute and affectionate and– oh my god! You’re so– you’re fucking adorable when you’re flustered!”
Hearing that only made Spinner flush up even more, but he couldn’t stop himself from smiling tenderly at the beautiful sounds floating from his boyfriend’s chapped lips. After getting a hold of himself, Tomura calmed down and softly smiled as he brushed his long, delicate fingers up and down Spinner’s scaly, muscled arm. “You can call yourself a dumbass all you want, but you’d still be my dumbass. I love you.”
 Tomura Shigaraki was gorgeous, both inside and out, and the fact that Spinner seemed to be the only one to see that both thrilled him and frustrated him. But right now, the thrill far outweighed the frustration, because that meant Spinner got to keep his boyfriend, this wonderful man who made him happy every single day, all to himself.
Especially because that meant he could do what he was doing right now, which was peppering a barrage of kisses onto every available surface of Tomura’s beautiful face, now free of all self-restraint to laugh as loudly as he pleased while he basked in his boyfriend’s expression of adoration.
The television had been displaying the “Wasted” screen for a while already, but Spinner wouldn’t be picking up the controller again any time soon.
