Rant incoming
I feel like the problem with a lot of Disney's live action remakes (and arguably Wish) is they're trying to appeal to a crowd that no longer exists, namely the people who used to claim that the Disney Princesses were sexist.
All the interviews tend to include, "Well she's not chasing a MAN anymore" which...almost no one sees the princesses like that, anymore. Virtually NO ONE still believes the princesses are man-chasing sexist caricatures of women.
Cinderella is now hailed as an abuse victim who stayed strong long enough to get help to get out of her situation. Anyone who says she should have saved herself is basically regarded as a victim blamer. And it's very clear in the film she wasn't looking to marry the prince, she just wanted a night off. She was the only one who wasn't in line to meet him. She didn't find out she met the prince until he went looking for her!
Snow White is now hailed for her negotiation skills, ability to calm down after extreme stress (she had a moment of panic and had to cry for a bit, but who wouldn't after finding out The Queen hired someone to kill you?), and ability to take charge of a house of adult men. And again, she was an abuse victim, this time trying to escape ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTS. While she dreamed of her prince, it was secondary to her main goal of SURVIVAL. There are also entire video essays about how Snow White gave hope to people during The Great Depression.
Everyone acknowledges that Ariel wanted to be human BEFORE meeting Eric. We all know she was a nerd hyperfixating on humans, and also standing up to her prejudiced father.
We understand Sleeping Beauty wasn't the main character, the Three Good Fairies were, AND PHILLIP WOULD NEVER HAVE BEATEN MALEFICENT WITHOUT THEM! He literally depended on them! WOMEN SAVED THE DAY! But even then, is it really such a sin for a girl to fantasize about romance and fall for someone with corny pickup lines?
We all understand Jasmine just wanted someone to treat her LIKE A PERSON. She rejected every Prince before Aladdin because they treated her like a prize. So why did they need her to want to be Sultan? How did that make her more feminist when she already wanted to be treated like an equal and have a say in her future? Is it only empowering if you want a career in politics?
We admire that Belle, despite living in a judgemental village, was kind to everyone (even though she found the village life dull), and her story teaches girls that the guy everyone else loves isn't always a good guy. What's sexist about teaching girls about red flags? And she didn't start being nice to The Beast until he started treating her with respect and kindness.
Do I really NEED to defend Mulan or Tiana? I think they speak for themselves.
Rapunzel was yet another abuse victim who just needed a little help to get out of her bad situation. In this case, she also needed to learn that she was an abuse victim, and that what Mother Gothel did WASN'T normal, much like many victims of gaslighting.
And don't get me started on the non-princess animals.
Perdita had a healthy relationship with Pongo to the point she was open to express her pregnancy fears to him, and was ready to TEAR APART Cruella's goons for daring to touch her puppies as well as adopting the other puppies. Like, she was so ferocious the goons mistook her for a hyena! She's basically that "I AM THAT GIRL'S MOTHER!" scene from SpyXFamily if Yor were a dog. She and her husband were a TEAM.....but they made a Cruella live action to turn her into a girlboss?! The literal animal abuser!? THAT'S the woman you wanted to put on a pedestal when Perdita was RIGHT THERE!?
Duchess kept her kittens calm after they had been catnapped and was classy as heck. Nice to everyone regardless of social class during a time period where that was uncommon.
Lady stood up to Tramp when she believed he had abandoned her and didn't really care about her. She found out he was a heartbreaker and was like, "Nuh uh. No. You are not doing that to me! You put me through enough."
Miss Bianca from The Rescuers was IN CHARGE the whole movie, and was willing to risk life and limb to save an innocent child. THAT TINY MOUSE TOOK ON ALLIGATORS! And she picked Bernard to accompany her because he was the only one who wasn't ogling her. And then in the sequel SHE DID IT ALL AGAIN! I wish I were as brave as her.
Like, the public haven't accused these ladies of being sexist caricatures since 2014 (Actresses and actors don't count, they're out of touch like the rest of Hollywood) yet Disney is operating under the assumption that the public still thinks that way, hence all the "sHe'S nOt AfTeR a MaN iN ThIs VeRsIOn" talk.
The live action remakes are trying to attract an audience that doesn't really exist much, anymore, and back when it did exist, was comprised mainly of people who didn't actually watch the films. The Disney princesses are no longer seen as sexist, and feminine qualities are no longer seen as weak or undesirable.

Kote’s House
Kote’s first house is a pathetic thing, and he is incurably proud of it. The twi’lek he purchased it from very evidently could not make up his mind what to do with a man that grinned while he haggled, but it was the first time Kote had haggled over a purchase of his very own. He had thoroughly enjoyed it.
The house is built for one being, and a compact being at that, but Kote doesn’t have much. Moving in is quick, and most of his efforts during the next few days after go into attempting ambitious repairs for things he doesn’t know the first thing about.
His plumbing is an issue, he knows. Something is getting blocked up. Somehow while trying to fix the kitchen tumbler, his fresher spout explodes.
He hadn’t kept his new house a secret from anyone by any means, but it is still surprising when Fox barges in through his jamming front door. He finds Kote on the floor in his cramped kitchen while the fresher rains water in the adjacent room, laughing so hard and so crippled with delight that he can’t get up.
He tries to explain how wonderful it is —
“I-I have to fix my plumbing on my own, vod—”
—but judging by Fox’s single raised eyebrow he knows it doesn’t translate.
Fox, it turns out, is moving into the neighborhood. Kote doesn’t ask about the house Fox already has — the house he has visited, which is very nice and fancy — or point out that Fox’s contract there cannot possibly be up, which begs the question of why he’s here in Kote’s neighborhood — except that Kote already knows the answer to that question. So he doesn’t ask.
Fox doesn’t show him any grace or forbearance, though.
“Don’t even know how to fix a damn pipe, front lining show-off—” His brother snarls, but it is muffled; his top half had to go down beneath the floor they’d pried up to get at the plumbing issue.
“So that’s what they had you doing all these years.” Kote says, because he really is in a criminally good mood. He barely ducks the foot-long pipe Fox throws at his head, feeling giddy.
He makes dinner that night in thanks. Fox stays, ostensibly because now that he’s fixed the fresher he intends to use it, because his new house isn’t hooked up properly yet to all the supply lines and power grids.
They choke on homemade tiingilar (vode-style; Kote can’t pretend at the real thing yet) so heavily spiced it’s got grit to it that sticks between the teeth. It’s disgusting, but Cody had bought fifteen different spices and while usually he likes to keep his approach to the unknown more cautious, more methodical, he couldn’t think of anything he wanted to do more than use them all at once for the first time.
Wolffe joins them not long after; brings a few others along by recommending the apartment he picks out, so that soon most of the complex is taken up by vode, Kote hears, but he doesn’t visit yet. Everyone’s too busy coming over to his house, it seems; filling up his kitchen and asking why he hasn’t fixed the trash disposal yet, why he doesn’t have a couch, doesn’t he know they’re all the rage among civilized folk?
Kote fixes the trash disposal with Rex, who is better at it than he is but says it’s only due to Skywalker’s influence on managing all things mechanical.
“How is Skywalker?” Kote asks, and gets more than he bargained for over the next hour. At first he’s a bit off-put, because he’s trying to get dinner sorted again and he’s not been very fond of Skywalker at the best of times, but Rex is snorting out a story and laughing and it’s contagious, so Kote just resigns himself and settles in to enjoy.
Skywalker has little ones, now. Obi-Wan is the only one that can get them to sleep. Ahsoka is distressed; she knows better, but every instinct in her is apparently in agony over the little ones’ inability to eat meat yet. She obsesses over nutrients in their diet — which, given what tiny natborn humans primarily ingest in the early stages, makes for some slightly awkward conversations.
Rex helps with dinner afterward, and they take turns being incredulous over natborn baby facts, shoving around one another in the tiny, uncomfortable kitchen.
“What’s your next project?” Rex asks at one point, glancing sidelong with a cheeky look, and Kote levels his vegetable knife at him (he’s got a vegetable knife. Specifically for vegetables. It’s a very new concept).
“I make everyone’s dinner on Tuangsdays.” He says. “I’m productive.”
Rex’s sharp-toothed grin turns thoughtful. “Yeah” He says. “Everyone loves coming here, you know. You could be the new 79’s.”
Kote knows. He plans and plots, and puts more work into researching recipes than he’s put into any research whatsoever in months. It feels a bit like coming out of a shore leave; his thoughts quicken and his excitement grows. He hunts down a market. He brings a bag. He shops, bargains, and returns victorious.
He sends out a few comms., and can’t help but shake his head and grin at how different the responses are.
What a marvelous idea, Cody. His general — ex-general — says.
Yus pls, Ahsoka sends back, with some sort of strange tooka vidclip that dances with wiggly gyrations Kote can only assume indicate excitement.
Where is your house, Anakin says, blunt and to the point, and Kote can appreciate that.
He sends the address. He cooks all day. The sun sets, and Fox and Wolffe arrive, already bickering, Rex trailing behind with a long-suffering look sent to Kote, begging commiseration.
“Ugh, don’t you ever stop smiling, now?” He gripes when Kote just grins at him.
“Nope,” Kote says, unrepentantly.
He leaves the soup on the stove, simmering, and takes his cup of caf to the window. He leans on it, breathing in cool air, and just listens — listens to the squabbling as Wolffe gets on Fox’s case for not washing Kote’s dishes correctly the last time they visited. Hears the soft thumps of Rex sneaking into the cramped room Kote has set aside for plants and the sole pet he has; a pastel goullian, fins swaying ever so gently, permanent scowl in place. Thinks he catches, distantly, the sound of his remaining three guests (Padme couldn’t attend, and had made him feel very awkward by how thoughtfully she apologized for it) plodding up the hill.
“Cody!” Ahsoka cries, coming into view and waving.
Kote’s cheeks have stopped aching from all the smiling he’s gotten used to, so it’s easy to let another through.

Sometimes you need to be loud before it can be quiet
Summary: Everyone has their breaking point, even prefectly fine media trained drivers. Especially when people start asking dumb, sexist questions.
Pairing: driver!reader x f1!grid, but mostly Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen, Lando and Charles have a bit of a guest appearing
Wordcount: 1.2k (she is a shy shorty, please be nice to her)
🏎Masterlist🏎 _________________________
“My next question is for (Y/N): What do you want to be perceived as?”
Everyone in the post race press conference halts in their movements. (Y/N) blinks once, twice before she clears her throat and gets closer to her microphone. “I’m sorry, can you please elaborate on that? I fear my English is failing me to comprehend what you just said.”
The reporter is not hesitating, jumping into his explanation right away, as if he had chosen the words he wanted to say beforehand. “Well, you participate in a male dominated sport, being currently the only female on the grid line up. You are never seen in typically female clothing. You even wore a suit to the last FIA gala. We have yet to see you in makeup outside of festivities. That’s why I am asking what you want to be perceived as. A man? A woman? Or something in-between?”
Silence has never been so loud. Nobody really knows how to respond to such an audacity.
(Y/N) pulls her microphone another bit closer before murmuring into it: “I rather be not perceived at all. Thank you for the question, I wanted to clear that bit up for quite some time now.”
Her answer brought a booming laughter out of the one and only Daniel Ricciardo, effectively breaking that spell of awkwardness that has been cast over the room by Mr Audacity. Everyone relaxes and joins in the laughter.
As the media representative is about to call onto the next journalist, Max asks a question. “Can we all answer this? Because I want to make it clear, I identify as a problem and want to be perceived as that.”
“Yeah”, Daniel interjects,”of course you do. I want to be perceived as a menace to human kind, please. What about you, Lando?”
“Number 1 Fish Hater, certified and trademarked already,” he answers with a cheeky smile.
Charles breathes “I’m a hot mess” into his microphone before the media representative is able to call onto the next person.
The following race weekend the drivers stand in the media pits with their PR managers, hopping from interviewer to interviewer like at a speed dating event.
“-overall I would say we have a good pace. I’m confident in the team to help us through this race in spite of the unpredictable weather conditions this weekend.” (Y/N)’s answers the usual questions that are thrown at her after sessions.
The journalist smiles at her. “I am sure of that. Now, onto my last question: Last week you have been asked what you want to be perceived as and you never really answered that. Why is that?”
(Y/N) throws a not amused look towards the woman. “I didn’t feel like it. I didn’t want to answer a question that is just a poorly disguised attack towards my femininity. I can like fast cars and dress however I want without having to answer something like that. I’m secure enough in my own gender identity as a woman to be able to express myself in all the ways I want without having my actions impede on my identity or expression of my gender. I will put on a dress when I feel like it, I will get the brushes out for a glam makeup when it is convenient for me and I don’t have to do ‘typically female’ things just to please the public opinion.
Instead of going around and judging, just work on why you have this urge to comment on my expression of gender in the first place, because your insecurities surrounding my gender don’t look cute on you.”
After that (Y/N) is practically dragged away from the media pit by her PR manager, who probably already has a headache thinking about the mess that will follow on social media and certain online magazines.
But the few drivers who stood around them, having media duties to follow themselves, just stared impressed and with deep respect after the young woman. She usually is softer spoken and obviously went through bootcamp media training. This was the first time they witnessed speaking her true mind in an interview.
Back in her driver's room, where she gets ready for the debrief, (Y/N) realizes the kind of mistake she just made.
Her little outburst will definitely get more of a reaction than it would if a Max Verstappen would have said something along these lines.
Before her inner eye she sees the headlines. Something about women being too emotional for motorsports. Her being too young, too hot headed, too much of everything and somehow not enough of everything.
The team will replace her, the negative PR not leaving them any other choice. The pressure on them is too much, they already took a big chance on her by giving the driver a seat in Formula 1 in the first place.
With the news of her sudden contract ending, at least one news outlet will write “The little experiment failed”, paving an even more difficult path for other women trying to prove themselves in motorsports.
And all that just because she wasn’t able to let this stupid question roll right off her back.
A sudden knock on her door breaks (Y/N) free from her downward spiral of thoughts. Max enters the room with Daniel on his tail. “This was amazing. How you told this interviewer off on life camera? And her face? After you went out, we just had to clap. It was so cool. You were so right, too. I’m so proud you finally spoke your mind. The audacity of these people.”
It seems like Max doesn’t need to breathe, judging from his rant.
Daniel has a much softer approach. He puts a hand on her shoulder, making her look up at him. “I hope you know that you had to say that back there. Even if you are ‘only’ a rookie this season, the questions you got the last couple of weeks were anything but ok or nice. Sometimes you need to be loud before it can be quiet.”
(Y/N) shoots him a thankful smile, squeezing the hand on her shoulder with her own. “You are right. It was just a bit overwhelming at first. But I can see the appeal now. I think I have to take a few classes with Max, because the concept of saying what you think got a new fan and that’s me. It’s the best thing I have done in the context of handling media duties.”
“No, you won’t do that”, (Y/N)’s PR manager stands in the doorway, probably to fetch her for the debrief. “In this case it was a good thing to do. Important, too, of course. The fans are eating this up on social media. They already made edits with the clips. But I don’t get paid what Max’ or Lando’s managers get, so you will return to your media trained good girl roots.” With that (Y/N) gets pulled out of the room by her. Max throws her a subtle nod, to which she smiles.
Sometimes you need to be more than the good girl, especially if it’s for your own sake. Who knows, maybe this is the beginning of the story of another media-nightmare-driver.

↳ Choso is still unfamiliar with the more human way of doing things, but he is trying, so you can’t fault him too much when his actions resemble that of a curse rather than a human. VALENTINES EVENT MASTERLIST
[cws] yandere. stalking. chikan. mild violence. fem reader. i’ve taken creative liberties and made it so that choso can choose when he’s visible to humans thanks to being half-curse, half-human :3 reader is american.
Tumblr media
Right and wrong is not something that Choso concerns himself with - he simply does what he pleases.
It’s not in the sense of him thinking that he’s above human laws (he is) and can therefore ignore them, but rather that he’s not familiar with them.
Yuji has told him time and time again about what is and is not acceptable, but it just hasn’t clicked in his head yet. In the rare times that he shows himself to humans, he always finds himself breaking some type of rule, law, or societal norm, as Yuji tells him.
“You can’t walk so close to people, Choso - they’ll think you’re a pervert or something!”
“I don’t care if she smelt good - you can’t sniff her like a dog!”
“Put your dick away! That’s not a bathroom! You can’t piss there!”
“No, Choso! You can’t kill somebody just because the line is too long!”
Humans were bound by so many rules, it was annoying. Choso found himself staying hidden more often than not, choosing to observe the people around him rather than taking more ‘lessons on humanity’ from his younger brother—Yuji was a big help, don’t get him wrong, but Choso didn’t feel right taking lessons from his younger sibling. Choso was the oldest, the one meant to protect and teach his younger brothers (something he had failed to do on two occasions, as he so painfully remembers every day), and if he didn’t know it, then it was his duty to learn it on his own.
The regular people of Japan, the ones who were terribly unfit to defend themselves (it’d be a hassle trying to protect them - he’s glad they’re not his siblings), were incredibly boring. Majority of them only worked and slept, some occasionally getting drunk at some hole-in-the-wall bar before stumbling home and passing out in the living room.
Choso preferred watching the not-so-regular people of Japan, the ones who led a life that Yuji always turned his nose up at, but Choso didn’t think they were so bad. They do what they want, what’s so wrong with that, he always asked. They didn’t let rules shape their actions or let laws turn them into a completely different person - they were simply them, and Choso found it admirable, in a way.
He watched men cloaked in black skulk around alleyways looking for a target to rob, women dressed in skimpy clothing slipping into cars only to slip out a few moments later with blood on their cleavage, teenagers walking into stores with no money yet walking out with pockets stuffed full of snacks and drinks, men in suits exchanging briefcases full of drugs and money, truck drivers transporting living, breathing humans adorned in chains - the dregs of society as so many called them.
He watched them sparingly, only when he grew bored of the mundane lives of everyone else, everyone else except for you, of course.
Choso had been watching you ever since he first began this poor attempt to assimilate into Yuji’s world. You lived a boring, plain, safe life, but he found himself interested nonetheless. You were an office worker, one with a funny accent that he learned was American. You liked to read and occasionally write, and you went on walks in the park on the weekend and took pictures of the scenery. You didn’t drink and you didn’t smoke but all your friends did. You had a library card that you lost on a monthly basis. You had an unhealthy addiction to carbonated drinks. You hated going to the dentist. You avoided stepping on the cracks in sidewalks. You desperately wanted a pet but your lease forbade you from getting one.
These were the boring, mundane details of your life. Nothing exciting, nothing noteworthy, and yet Choso had memorized it all.
You were on your way home from work now, unaware of Choso’s presence behind you. He was close - close enough to breathe in the scent of your signature perfume and take a peek down the top of your button down. Even your bra was boring, a dull gray that covered you fully, and an annoyed pout formed on his face before he turned his attention to the phone in your hand.
You were checking your banking account, likely making sure that you had enough for your daily sweet treat and tea from your favorite shop. It turns out that you don’t have enough, but he already knew that. You didn’t get paid until tomorrow, and you had used the last bit of your money on a recurring subscription that you had forgotten to cancel.
You sigh under your breath before dropping your phone into your purse, and Choso falls into step beside you, the rest of the journey to the train station going by uneventfully, as usual.
~
It’s a new day, and the same routine.
There’s a couple that steps onto the train before the both of you, their hands intertwined and the woman’s head nuzzled against the man's arm. Physical affection was another thing that Choso wasn’t familiar with.
Even if majority of his life hadn’t been spent locked away in a sealed vial, it wasn’t in his nature to be gentle with his hands - they were tools to protect what was dearest to him, and the only way he knew how to do that was to kill whatever threatened what was closest to him.
Although he wasn’t sure if you would appreciate that in this moment - you were squeamish when it came to blood, funnily enough, and he doubted he could kill the man standing behind you without making a mess.
“Tch.” Choso hovers near you, his eyes taking in the scene. You’re on your morning commute to work, dressed in the white button down he watched you press this morning, and a black pencil skirt that stuck to you like glue - it had been amusing watching you shimmy into it, stumbling around your room and cursing as you threw worried glances at the digital clock on your nightstand.
You were dressed identical to every other woman on this train -your hair was even in a similar updo- and yet the man—the pervert as Yuji would have called him—had singled you out in the overcrowded place. He stood behind you, closely, and Choso leaned to peer around your shoulder, lip lifting in annoyance when he sees the man’s crotch pushed against the swell of your ass.
The act itself doesn’t bother him, but rather that you’re the one the man chose to enact it on. He likely wouldn’t have batted an eye had the man chosen one of the other women to feel on, but the sight of someone touching you had never failed to invoke a feeling of intense hatred in Choso.
He didn’t like it, and he made it known when he moved to stand behind the man. He settled a heavy on his shoulder, his energy dark, thick and heavy as it nearly filled all the corners of the train car - an embodiment of the anger swirling in his gut. The man jolts and looks back over his shoulder, seeing nothing but perhaps a murky, dark substance. His hand grips hard, and the crunch that sounds followed by the pained wail doesn’t do much to quell that anger.
He had touched you, someone that Choso was closely coming to regard as important, and there was only one way that could right this wrong, but that would have to wait until the number of people around were low. Too many eyes were never good, and Choso had studied humans enough to know that their first instinct was to run to the police when they saw a body drop before their eyes.
With a shove to the side, the man is thrown halfway across the car, and a cacophony of shouts sound off as he goes tumbling. You spin around, eyebrows pulled together and mouth set in an angry line, and Choso feels that strange human urge to comfort surge forth.
You cast a glare to the man, your hands moving to hitch your bag higher up your shoulder, and you keep your back to the door, likely in an attempt to keep that from happening again…what’s it called again? He’s seen this scenario play out before in one of Yuji’s books that he tries and fails to keep a secret.
Ch…chi…chikan, train molestation.
His brother is a pervert, without a doubt, but he supposes that works in his favor. The magazine had piqued his interest, firstly because Yuji had gone to great lengths to stuff it into the back of his closet underneath a set of his college textbooks, and secondly because it housed a taboo of society, and the taboo is what interested Choso these days.
He had read it in its entirety, and then had tried to witness it himself. He had spent hours hanging around the station, going in and out of cars and maneuvering between bodies to try and catch a glimpse of the depraved act, yet he came up with nothing, until today that is.
And what a letdown that had been.
His mouth pulls down at the sides, and he gives you a slow once over. He starts at neatly done hair, moves down to sculpted brows that frame glossy eyes, then to a nose that he wouldn’t mind feeling against his own, and down to a set of lips that he finds himself thinking about more and more these days.
He goes further down, down to the way your shirt stretches across your breasts, the buttons straining just a bit, and he tilts his head to the side, a new type of feeling now festering in the pit of his stomach.
Your hands clasp together in front of you, the movement forcing your chest to jut out a bit more, and when the train curves around a bend, Choso lets gravity move him closer to you, head angled down. You tense just a bit, and your senses must be a bit better than everyone else’s, or maybe he’s just doing a poor job at concentrating on concealing himself.
You push yourself a bit further into the corner, and he further crowds you into it, a spark of excitement running up his spine — prey. That’s what you remind him of in this moment as you cower in the corner from a threat you can’t see. He wants to sink his teeth into you—no, his hands. He wants to touch you and squeeze you all over, sink his fingers into soft flesh and leave his mark behind.
So he does.
Tentatively, at first.
The tips of his fingers hover near your cheek, casting a shadow that you’re unable to see, and his breathing grows labored when he finally touches you - it’s shocking, literally. You jump as you feel it, and Choso frowns. He hasn’t learned about the grand thing called static, so in his mind, his mind that was locked away and kept rudimentary for so long, this shock upon first contact signified something monumental…something visceral.
You press further against the wall, brows furrowing as your hand moves up to rub at your cheek, and Choso moves down to the slope of your neck, fingers running along the throbbing vein, racing pulse, and then he’s rubbing at your collarbones. You’re warm just like him, but where he’s hard you’re soft - soft, doughy, fragile.
His hands settle on your breasts, one in each palm, and he squeezes. Oh. You frown deeper, your eyes dropping to where his hands are groping, but you don’t see. He’s right up on you now, head angled down and jaw slack as he tests the weight in his hands - they’re a nice size, a good size. Your nipples get hard under his hand, and he rubs against it with his thumb - your bra is so thin.
He thinks back to that book and what he had read in it, images of the debauchery floating to the front of his mind, and his mouth runs dry at the thought of doing those things to you. He had never thought about sexual gratification, much less craved it, but he felt as if he had been subconsciously seeking it out all his life and he had finally found it.
His breath is practically coming out in pants, matching the rapid thumps of his heart. He traps your nipples between his fingers and squeezes. You suck in a sharp breath of air, eyes darting around at the other passengers who don’t pay you much attention - they’re all warily looking at the man still moaning in pain as he sags in a corner and clutches at his shoulder.
Choso squeezes again, and he knows it’ll feel better if he was touching you skin on skin, but he’s certain you wouldn’t take kindly to him scattering your shirt buttons all over the floor of the train and leaving your bra in tatters so he pushes that thought away for later - maybe for when you’re curled under your blankets at night and in a deep, deep sleep.
The maddening ache in his pants would have taken him by surprise a few months ago, but Choso has gotten pretty acquainted with his body with the help of a few snagged medical books and Yuji’s laptop (which was still an enigma to Choso at times).
Both of his hands leave your breasts to instead push at his pants, the baggy material easily slipping down toned, lean thighs until they pool around his booted ankles.
His cock is pale but noticeably darker at the tip, and there’s a long, prominent vein that starts at the center of his shaft and disappears into black, coily pubes. His cock has never been able to stand up properly, weighted down by the sheer size, so it hangs between his thighs, thick and heavy, identical to his desire for you.
He wraps a hand around his turgid length, hissing through his teeth as he does, and pushes closer. You don’t move a muscle, standing stock-still as you try and fail to make sense of all these ‘phantom’ sensations.
If they were able, he’s sure your knuckles would have long since turned white with how hard you’re clutching onto the purse that’s now cradled against your chest. Your thighs shift together, inadvertently making your skirt rise a bit, heels noisily clinking against the platform of the car as you shuffle, and Choso spreads his legs and bends at the knees, a heaving breath leaving him as he slots his cock right through the opening between your thighs that you so graciously left.
The tights clinging to your thighs are smooth and silky, and coupled with the heat of your skin that perforates through, Choso feels himself jerk and twitch at the feeling. It’s leagues better than his hand, and his mind is already spinning at the thought of how you’ll feel on the inside.
His hand comes down heavy against the door beside your head, and you flinch as your head whips to the side to look, eyebrows furrowing when you notice the large handprint on the glass. His other hand curls around the pole to the left of you, hand gripping it so tight that he can feel the steel denting underneath his grip, and he rocks his hips, slowly.
Warm, soft, squishy, the adjectives flit through his mind one after the other, a new one coming with each push of his cock between your thighs. He’s hot all over, skin burning and strands of black plastering themselves to his damp face. His balls are tight, and his left eye twitches when a soft sound escapes your mouth, a look of bewilderment on your face.
He comes, hard. His orgasm locks all his muscles up and makes his teeth snap together so hard they nearly shatter. His eyes roll back, the pole caves in under the pressure of his grip, the window beside your head shatters as his hand goes through it, and he makes a split second decision to show himself in an effort to shield you from the hail of glass.
Choso can nearly see the scream of fright that gets caught in your throat at his sudden appearance, and a grin that lacks remorse twists onto his lips. Your bugged eyes slowly trail down, and the scream finally un-lodges itself when you catch sight of his softening length and the mess it’s left on your clothing.
Choso hides himself once again and steps off at the next station as he fixes his clothing. You stumble off as well, frantically heading towards the security booth as your eyes dart around to catch sight of him.
Soon, he thinks.
He’d let you see him again soon enough.

Aziraphale’s religious trauma
I’m sure others have discussed this in a lot of depth, but I can’t help throwing my hat in the ring. Aziraphale has major religious trauma after spending his entire very long existence as a member of a cult. If you’ve never experienced what it’s like to be indoctrinated into a religion, then it might be very hard to understand why he behaves the way he does, so I’ll try to lay it out for you.
Anyone who was raised from early childhood to believe that an all-powerful being is watching them as though they’re in a panopticon (a jail where prisoners are watched by authorities at random moments) and will severely punish them and/or their loved ones if anyone steps out of line (or just on a whim or based on a bet with Satan) either has experienced religious trauma or has somehow avoided it, perhaps through repression or retreating into themselves and managing to ignore what the adults were telling them. Another way to avoid the trauma is to continue to believe that the cult is ‘good’ and that those outside it are ‘bad’ and should seek redemption, forgiveness and salvation.
Not only does Aziraphale have this trauma, but it’s also based on reality in the GO universe. I was able to live with mine by realising that there is no empirical evidence for religious beliefs, by studying philosophy, by having therapy, and by reflecting on it for years. The trauma can still be triggered in me, leading to panic that God might be watching and judging me, and that an afterlife might exist, but luckily I’m now able to move through the panic relatively quickly. Aziraphale can’t do any of this because the beliefs of his cult are all too real. There really is a massively powerful (hopefully not all-powerful, but he believes she is) being who watches and judges him and everyone else at random moments. She has either directly ordered her angels to slaughter babies and children or has stood by and watched them do it. She has severely punished someone Aziraphale cares about, Crowley, who from that moment has been in a situation where he continues to be tortured by his fellow demons with no intervention from God and who simultaneously risks being destroyed by demons, by angels, by humans wielding sacred weapons (e.g. holy water) or by his own hand.
And so Aziraphale suffers from both religious trauma and the trauma of living under a real authoritarian dictatorship. This dictatorship is seemingly unbeatable and eternal, and it possesses weapons more powerful than the biggest nuclear weapons, more powerful than the sun, really more powerful than anything we humans can imagine.
Thousands of years ago, Crowley was kicked out in an extremely painful way, and he suffers his own trauma from that. He clearly doesn’t want Aziraphale to go through all of that, yet he wants Aziraphale to join him on ‘their own side’. At the end of the previous season, I thought Aziraphale was all in. I was happy to leave it at that ... even though it isn’t a realistic depiction of someone dealing with the particular types of trauma that Aziraphale has experienced and continues to experience.
Aziraphale and Crowley are still in constant grave danger, and they’re still living in God’s panopticon. That can’t just be hand-waved away. As we’ve seen this season, at any moment their fragile peace can be disrupted by a situation that puts them in danger of being harmed to the extent of being wiped from existence. They can’t actually just go to Alpha Centauri and it will all be cool. (And what would they do there for eternity anyway ...?) But yeah there is no way to escape from God, nowhere in the universe that God isn’t capable of supervising -- that’s real, not something Aziraphale merely has faith in, as humans understand belief in God. Aziraphale isn’t the equivalent of a human priest or a theologian or a cult member: he is a supernatural being created by a much more powerful supernatural being.
Perhaps there are only two ways for Aziraphale to deal with his trauma: 1) He realises that God and the Heavenly Host can be defeated. 2) He realises that they can be permanently altered in a positive way.
At the end of season two, Aziraphale seems to believe he is being given the opportunity to bring about option 2. We don’t know if he has a plan or a vision for this, but for the first time he thinks he has a chance. Perhaps best of all, he has the opportunity to protect Crowley -- permanently! Imagine how anxious Aziraphale must have been, for thousands of years, that Crowley would be destroyed. It could have happened at any time, near or far from Aziraphale. Crowley faces dangers on all sides and also does foolish (from Aziraphale’s perspective) things like good deeds under the influence of laudanum and a heist so he can handle holy water. Crowley breaks and bends rules in ways that could kill him: Aziraphale isn’t catastrophising. This isn’t the same as a religious loved one telling you that you’re going to hell for sinning. Crowley has already been tortured in hell, and he could be tortured there forever, or he could be turned into an oily black puddle, or removed from the book of life etc etc.
What Aziraphale doesn’t understand yet is that Crowley can’t be an angel again and still be the Crowley that Aziraphale loves. He also doesn’t see Crowley as an equal. If they’re going to take on heaven and bring down God’s dictatorship, they are going to have to do it as Aziraphale and Crowley, working in partnership, wielding the immense power of their love.

⁀➷ ∵  ❝ just a human ❞

⟶ neteyam x fem!human!reader
⟶ he should've never fallen for a human
⟶ cw. rough drabble ⭒ headcanons ⭒ jealousy ⭒ angsty ⭒ aged up ⭒ BREAKUP ⭒ interspecies relationship ⭒ alien x human ⭒ established situation-ship
⟶ note. i've never tried to write something like this before, but i was feelin angsty. lmk what you think, i dont really know what style this is but i guess its a drabble/hc kinda thing?? it's fun! not edited or anything really
Tumblr media
⭒ it wasn't obvious when things started to change, but slowly it became more and more noticeable the way you were being treated.
⭒ he'd leave early in the day before you'd even wake up, when he'd come back he'd say that he was in a rush and didn't think.
"i didn't mean to okay?" he said, bluntly. he moves past you rather quickly. "you wouldn't have been up yet, anyway."
your eyebrows are stitched together, feeling that odd feeling inside your chest as if something was wrong. it felt like a bad time to press matters, even if it hurts to keep those feelings in.
"you could've still asked, i would've gone with you."
neteyam sighs, putting away his bow. his eyes can't meet yours, darting anywhere but at them. "yea, i know."
⭒ you can't pinpoint the reason for his coldness. inside the lab, everyone could feel it. you weren't good at hiding your feelings but neither was he.
⭒ kiri likes to visit her mom, bring lo'ak and neteyam who's body stiffens the seconds he sees you. it wasn't just him though, they all seemed to be acting differently. only kiri remained truly nice to you.
"hey!" kiri waves her hand at you as if there wasn't a huge chill in the room from the tension.
you smiled at her from your desk, continuing with your daily reports without uttering a word.
⭒ neteyam can't keep his feelings off his face, it was obvious. his coldness was within reason, it was out of his control even if he hates it.
⭒ it hurts him to see you that way. alone most of the day, no one really your age since you were closer in range with them. most were far beyond adulthood and nothing much to really talk to about.
⭒ you were the closest to kiri, and well kiri couldn't help it but talk to you. he notices the way you've been avoiding her now, because of him.
⭒ it wasn't until the day that neteyam noticed you weren't in the lab, that his heart leaps and feels that surging feeling of impending doom.
"she went out in the morning," one of the lab guys said. neteyam rushes to your desk, the same one you've always sat at and looks through piles of sticky notes and journals. his large hands practically destroying everything in it's path.
a gasp from behind him was heard, "what are you doing neteyam, she's going to be so pissed you decided to ruin her stuff."
kiri didn't seem to feel that awful gut feeling he felt. he turns to her with a frantic look on his face, finally looking over at the monitor to find a sticky note with your small handwriting, 'out for the day, i think it's hunting season but don't worry, i'll be back later.'
"she's not stupid," kiri said, following her brother as he gathers his weapons and ionar. he was on a mission, his lips are in the tight line.
neteyam shakes his head, going towards the edge of the cliffs where his ikran rests, "i know, but right now she's really stupid–she knows it's hunting season why would she go?"
"i'm sure she's fine."
⭒ you were indeed fine. but neteyam was not.
⭒ neteyam rushes off his ikran with a mission. angry rushes through his bones as he pushes himself through the vegetation to spot you with a boy, a na'vi boy.
"what are you doing?"
you seemed unphased by him. not even bothering to reply. this seemed to make his blood boil by the second. the na'vi boy looks awkwardly been the two of you.
"and what are you doing here?"
the na'vi boy stutters, unable to say a word to the first born son of the clan leader.
your voice was flat, lacking emotion, "he gave me a ride." you get up off the ground, hands filled with bags of random plants and rocks.
⭒ he's never been so annoyed. he didn't think he'd get jealous easily, he thought things like this wouldn't bother him.
⭒ lo'ak always bothered him, pointing out his mood which doesn't make it any better.
"just talk to her man, she'll hate you forever if you don't."
⭒ he did. he talked to you, he stood there. the boy you liked, stands there telling you how he couldn't be with you. he was scared, of his feelings and what others would think.
you scoff, angrily you shoved him. pointing at him, "you of all people, i didn't think would care so much of what people think."
"i don't, i–look, my mother doesn't like humans, she hates spider–he's like my brother and she never sees him," he explains. feeling the moisture in his eyes gather, he wipes them off quickly. his eyes trail the ground at your feet.
you look away, "so it's your mom?"
"it's everyone," he kicks the ground, "i should've never fallen for a human."
"is that what you see us as?"
his eyebrows are stitched together, unable to form words as his mind is frazzled.
"aliens, i am just a human to you–not anything more." it hurts, it really does.
⭒ it was then that you listed the possibilities of what was wrong with you. what didn't you have that he wanted. you didn't want to believe that he would let that affect him, what others think or see.
⭒ he's lying to himself, he kicks himself after being reminded of how much of a skxawng he was.
⭒ tuk found out what he did, she was really angry. she really liked you, you always took her places with you. everytime she'd see neteyam she'd hiss at him.
"hah, she hates you," kiri sings. she's also not his biggest fan after finding out from the source how much of his asshole her brother was.
⭒ it was then, they needed to leave. to save the tribe–to save everyone. neteyam and his family had to leave.
⭒ the weather was awful that day, as if even eywa knew. he's completely covered in rainwater, head to toe trying to find you.
⭒ you're saying bye to kiri and tuk.
"you're not coming?" it was the first words he'd spoken to you since, almost a month ago. it wasn't like he didn't try, his mouth always tried to say something but the moment you'd spot him–felt his energy, you were gone, avoiding him like the plague.
kiri took tuk away, knowing that this was about to get dirty. you shrugged, watching the way the water fell from his pretty face after not really getting a look at him all this time, "what do you mean?"
"since you're saying bye, i assume you know–but you're not going with us? but you're my fa–"
an ironic laugh leaves your lips, interrupting him, "i'm just a human, neteyam, i know my place."
⭒ neteyam never had felt heartbreak before, not before today. irony, your heart broke a month ago. he'd not only lost his home, but he lost...his true home.

I remember back in the old days, when I first found radfems, I kept feeling it is inevitable that something will destroy them, someone will argue them down, shame them, point out that they’re doing something they’re not supposed to, and I kept reading on and on just waiting in fear, waiting for men to attack them and to humiliate them for speaking against the system.
But it didn’t happen. Instead, I found radfems arguing directly with men, over and over again, and defeating every single argument like it was nothing. Being raised in patriarchy, it was something I had never experienced before. I couldn’t understand the courage, the boldness and the dare to do it, I knew they were doing something dangerous, and I didn’t understand how was it possible that they couldn’t be shamed, couldn’t be guilt tripped, could not be humiliated or bullied into backing down.
They weren’t arguing with men for the chance they would persuade men to change their opinion, they were only showcasing for the other women, how to defeat those arguments, why are they wrong, why was it okay for a woman to fight back, to argue back.
I can remember the exact moment of reading one of those arguments, that reprogrammed my brain. I only wish I could find it again.
A woman was arguing against a man who kept saying things like ‘And how does this benefit us? Feminism is for everyone? You’re not helping anyone by being sexist and excluding men! What about the men who are abused, who are dying, traumatized, disabled? You’re uncaring and selfish **** and you should be shut down! You’re generalizing and demonizing half of the population! What about what we feel? What about our mental health? Men are victims too!’
And these arguments are something I’d heard so often I had them memorized, and reading radfem ideals, these arguments would constantly activate in my head, that we’re selfish and cruel if we don’t take care of the men in need, that compassion towards men is something we absolutely must have if we are good, normal human beings, that it’s only reasonable for men to despise us unless our movement is also proving useful to them, that they must have benefits too otherwise we’ll never get their support, never get anything done.
But the woman arguing back was having none of it. She asked right back ‘Why should you benefit out of it? Why should men get anything from a movement of women’s liberation? Do you only support women’s freedom and women’s rights if you directly benefit from it? Women are a half of a human population too, and you never once sacrificed anything to benefit us, yet you expect every single time that we sacrifice ourselves in order for you to get more benefits.
Why would I be uncaring and selfish if I don’t care about the men? You’re our primary predators, you are the number one cause of death in women, you are the reason we cannot go out safe at night, you’re the reason most if not all of our ancestors spent their lives in servitude, never getting to pursue their passions, never getting acknowledgment, money, land, legacy and matriarchal line of last names they deserved. You are shaming me like a wolf would shame a prey for running away from him, do you think a woman’s morality is to be questioned if she doesn’t feel compassion for a man who is holding a boot on her neck? Who is most likely to kill her? We have to put our safety before your feelings, for the sake of our own survival.
Why would men be what everyone and everything else must benefit? You think the rest of the world exists as resources to you, you believe we exist for you, to be used and violated and exploited by you, and you treat us accordingly, shaming us for having one place where we care about ourselves, and not you.
We have said nothing but the explicit, factual truth about the men, and if you find this demonizing, that’s on you. If mankind hasn’t oppressed and violated women’s freedom and lives for thousands of years, there would be no such facts to tell. If the truth reveals something rotten and demonic in you, that is not on us. We won’t shut up about what happened just because it makes you feel bad. Your feelings do not trump reality.
When men are victims, it’s primarily caused by other men, and in those situations, what do you expect us to do? Fight other men to save you, when we’d likely be killed? Fight for men, even though these exact victimized men are more than happy to go and victimize women, because now they have a great excuse of being victimized themselves? Men use everything, even their own victimization, against women. We do not have to feel compassion for those who have never, and will never feel it for us.’
-
It was while I was reading this, that I realized. I have been living all my life, until that moment, brainwashed to believe that I exist for men. That we all exist for men, that we’re around to make their life easier, that giving them whatever they want is mandatory, that we’re to be used. I believed my every word, action, thought, even appearance, has to be pleasing and approved by men in some way, or I would be shunned, punished, despised, and eventually, tortured and destroyed, for not being of use.
I believed that was reasonable, because men kept claiming it was, because they were arguing it loudly, with a threat of violence and humiliation for everyone who disagrees. I also believed it because I’ve never seen anything else. I’ve only ever seen women in servitude, acting like it’s natural to be so. All women in my family were servants of their husbands, almost all women in media were sexualized for men’s pleasure, almost every grown woman I’ve known was inclined to jump at male attention. Institutions, jobs, education, everything was favouring men, and we could have a try at it, but would ultimately be expected to be caretakers, or if we have a job, contribute money to men, to take off pressure from their responsibilities. We were supposed to believe they knew ‘better’ about what to do with money anyway. I’ve never dared to question it because the backlash was so hateful, violent, abusive and terrifying, I believed I would be a bad person if I thought otherwise, if I shut my compassion down.
But now, a handful of women online could argue it out without any fear of retribution because they were anonymous, they could not be touched, they could say anything, and no violence would reach them because it was anonymous platform. Men could rage at them but not touch them, never beat them. The power in that was unbelievable.
Realizing all this made me enraged, distressed, mortified, and determined to get free. From that moment on, I’ve not spend a second longer believing I exist for men. I never again considered if anything I wanted to do benefited them or not, or if anything that would benefit me would be well received with them as well. They never did this for us. They never took us into consideration when building the entire goddamn world. We do not exist for them. We are humans too. We are not selfish for not extending our patience and compassion to oppressors and predators. We are not responsible for troubles they create for themselves. And we do not have to sacrifice our rights for their convenience.

Rose is already detached from the party, following unseen orders in service of an unseen plan - but according to Dave, she's going to get worse.
This, I assume, is the point at which she becomes obscured from Kanaya's viewport. Rose is going to keep digging this hole, right up until she reaches some critical point on her timeline - and then, if I'm reading correctly between the lines, she's going to fall apart.

That's a little vague - but then again, they may be so alien to us that they're not able to communicate more clearly. This might be the closest thing to a human-readable message that the Gods can create.
This is probably a good place to put my transcription of the Squiddle song from Jade's nap. Much of it is unintelligible, but the parts we can hear are rather illuminating.
Squiddles are no ordinary friends, they work, and play, and work again. But they have homes, and mommies too; yes, they have mommies just like you.
Firstly, the Squiddles try to explain that they're not completely different from us. They're extraordinary creatures, practically incomprehensible to the Players - and yet, they have a home. They have loved ones. They play.
They repeat this assertion twice, as though they desperately want the Players to understand this.
So let them go to bed right now, so they can rest, and make cute sounds. If they can't rest they won't be strong …and they are really tiny.
They go on to say that they're exhausted. They need to rest, but something is keeping them busy. As a result, they're becoming 'tiny' and weak.
They can't make the 'cute sounds' that they're known for, which I suspect is a metaphor for the advice they normally dispense to Derse Dreamers, but I'm less sure about that.
[Unintelligible] …so let them sleep... …cause they will die if…
At this point, the music begins to fade out - but not before we hear that the Squiddles' lives are in danger. Something out in the depths of space is killing the Noble Circle of Horrorterrors.
Squiddle dee dee, squiddle dee dum. Everyone sing, a Squiddley song. Let's all be friends, And work as a team. Squiddles for you, Squiddles for me.
The final verse is self-explanatory.
It's unclear what, exactly, is happening out in the Furthest Ring, but it's dire enough that the Horrorterrors are reaching out to their neighbors, the Players of Sburb, and asking them to form an alliance.
We're seeing that alliance through Feferi, who has convinced them to blow the Dream Bubbles and link the two sessions. We're also seeing it through Rose, the only human Player willing to listen to the Squiddles' song - but her situation is more murky. I do think I understand her mental state a little better, though.
Rose is acting on Horrorterror advice - which means she's acting on whispers, corrupted images and half-heard fragments of a song. I don't think the Gods are manipulating her so much as they're playing a game of Telephone with her brain. They can't relay direct instructions, so the best they can do is transmit the vibe of what needs to happen, and the Seer has to figure the rest out for herself.
No wonder she's so evasive about her plan - I don't think she understands more than a quarter of it. She isn't nearly as in-control of the situation as she's pretending to be, and if she admits as much to John, she'd probably lose her nerve.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this so I apologize in advance 💗 I was hoping you could please write a Hotch fluff piece where him and the reader are navigating the first few weeks with their newborn? The reader's first baby and Aaron's second.
I hope you and the baby are doing well 💗
ahhh i saw this ask & i was so excited to write this that I wrote it at 2am so I hope its good! although i can hardly remember the newborn phase now but i vividly remember crawling into my boyfriends room every single night in tears asking for help because i was so tired & i swear my baby never ever slept 😂🫠
i hope you like this!
If there was anything that you had learnt since becoming a mom, it was that everyone who’d told you ‘sleep when the baby sleeps’ was a liar. The baby hardly ever slept and when she did - it was in yours or Aaron’s arms.
Daisy squirms lightly, letting out small coos to show that she was still awake. Still.
You felt so guilty as you slipped into Aaron’s bedroom- even though he’d told you countless times to wake him if you ever needed to, and begged you not to feel guilty you couldn’t help it.
You knew how important it was that he got enough sleep and remained vigilant considering his line of work so you had a tendency to push yourself to your breaking point before crawling through his doors.
He was absolutely amazing with Daisy. After taking a whole month off to be with you guys and Jack he’d finally gone back to work last week and yes, it was hitting you a little harder then you’d expected.
During that first month you’d taken it in shifts - Aaron would look after your sweet Daisy from around 8pm-2am and you’d take her from 2am until he woke up for the day. And it worked really well - however now that he was back at work you pretty much did the night shift alone and yeah, it was lonely and only getting around 2 hours of sleep a night wasn’t the best.
It didn't help that the two of you slept in seperate bedrooms now too to allow him to get his sleep.
Having a daughter that refused to sleep unless she was being held by either one of you was rough, but both of you adored her dearly. However that didn’t make the long nights easier.
“Aaron?” You say softly, trying to stop yet another round of tears from spilling over. God, you needed to sleep. You’d probably had 4 hours sleep in the last two days? Maybe three days now? wait - what day was it? when was the last time you changed clothes?
“Aaron, please.” You beg.
Aaron jolts a little before realising it’s just you. The man let’s out a tired groan and blinks rapidly, trying to make out the time on the alarm clock.
“Honey? are you okay? what time is it?”
It didn’t take a profiler to see how upset you were. Even then - he heard it in your voice before he saw it. Your throat was dry and hoarse, and the second Aaron turned the lamp on he noticed your swollen eyes and tear stained cheeks. His heart broke ever so slightly at the sight.
“It’s 4am. I know you have to go to work in a couple hours but please, please can you watch her for just two hours so I can get some rest. I-I haven’t slept at all and everytime I put her down she just cries and I feel like I’m going insane.”
Aaron doesn’t even hesitate to slide out of the bed. He’d had 6 hours of sleep - that was more than enough for him. And probably 6 hours more then you'd had.
“Of course I can.” He takes the newborn from your arms and you relax a little. “You’re not doing anything wrong, honey, she’s a newborn. This is just what she does. It’s not you. Why didn’t you tell me you were struggling this much? You need to let me help you, sweetheart,”
“Why- why can’t I handle it? I’m her mum Aaron i’m supposed - im supposed to be able to handle this. I feel like i’m failing.”
“You’re her mum, but you’re also human. No one can handle this much sleep deprivation. You’re a fantastic mum to both Daisy and Jack and you’re doing your best.”
He places Daisy down on the bed softly and pulls your shaking frame into his arms. Just like that you immediately break out into tears again, having missed his warm embrace. All the guilt you were feeling for waking him melts away with each gentle kiss to your forehead.
“It’s okay. You’re okay.” He repeats softly until you stop shaking in his arms and for a second he wonders if you’ve fallen asleep standing up. “You lay down for a couple hours, I’ve got Daisy.”
He picks up the newborn again and she coos softly in his arms, snuggling into daddies embrace. You lay down without wasting another second and you swear the moment you close your eyes you're fast asleep.
And Aaron didn’t know how he did it, but somehow, nearly a whole two hours later he managed to get sweet little Daisy to sleep. Light snores fell from delicate newborn lips. Ever so carefully he places the baby down in her bassinet right next to you and places her pacifier in with a gentle pop.
He knew things were tough now, but he also knew that they were bound to get better and that this season the two of you were in was only temporary.
With a small kiss on each of your foreheads he slips out of the door, excited to get the day over with so he can return to his girls later,

You didn’t expect to become the only human in the pack. You see there were two humans in the pack, You and Stiles, but after what happened to Stiles, he didn’t have much of a choice. Stile’s life was at stake. He was practically on his deathbed. So, you had to turn to your only option left, Scott. Scott bit Stiles to save his life. It was hard enough as it was, but Stiles becoming a werewolf, now that was even harder. He had a hard time trying to control his shifting. But he had his friends to help him along the way.
“Tell me again why we’re here?” Malia asked. She clearly wasn’t in the mood to attend another pack meeting.
“Because there’s a supermoon tonight, and we need to make sure nobody does anything stupid.” All eyes turn to face Liam.
“Oh, come on, it was one time.” He whined.
“Yeah, and it’s forever engraved in our heads,” Stiles told him.
“It was really hot out that night.” He shrugged.
“Beacon Hills usually is during the summer.” Stiles quipped.
“Okay we get it guys, knock it off you two.” You gave a playful stern look to them. Whether those two believed it or not they were the best of pals. Liam looked up to Stiles and Scott, but he would appreciate it more if the guidance didn’t consist of the constant sarcasm and teasing.
“Y/n’s right, we have a serious matter, this isn’t like any other moon we’ve been through, the supermoon will make us more aggressive, stronger, even violent, and we have to stay alert at all times, we can’t risk anyone getting hurt,” Scott informed his pack.
“Or killed,” Malia said.
“Exactly.” Scott nodded.
“So how will we be able to control it?” Hayden questioned.
“We have chains, shouldn’t that at least help get you all through the night?” Lydia said.
“It’s not enough, everyone would break free instantly.” Scott shook his head.
“What about mountain ash, would that hold you guys back?” Mason suggested.
“That’s not a bad idea.” Stiles nodded.
“Great problem solved! Um, but what are we going to do about the human in the room?” You pointed at yourself.
“The human…will stay as far away from any of us.” Stiles flailed his arms around gesturing to the supernatural beings in the room.
“I want to help.” You pleaded.
“No, I’m not risking putting you in danger.”
“I am perfectly capable of staying away from danger.” Stiles stood silent. His shoulders slumped. You were gonna give him a migraine. He looked away shaking his head.
“What, I can!” You raised an eyebrow.
“Just stay home tonight Y/n, please, just go home.” He pointed to the door. Every one of them avoids your gaze.
“Scott.” You looked at the alpha.
He sheepishly looked up at you, then at Stiles, who shook his head no.
“Stiles is right. You could get hurt, Y/n. So stay home okay.”
“Fine.” You muttered. Little did he know you weren’t going to listen to him.
-
“Okay, I think that’s enough mountain ash to keep you guys’ in.” Mason got up and dusted his palms on his jeans.
“Good job Mason.” Lydia stood beside him behind the line of mountain ash. They decided to keep them all in the library for the night. Scott, Hayden, Liam, Malia, and Stiles were all chained up to poles, the mountain ash was for just in case. All of them could feel how the super moon was affecting them. They let out grunts and growls. Fur growing on their face, claws coming out of their fingernails. It was a recipe for a disaster.
“I think that’s our cue to leave!” Mason started tugging on Lydia’s upper arm.
“Good idea.” She nodded her head in agreement. They ran out into the hall hoping that the mountain ash was enough to keep them from running wild into the night. When they thought they were good, it just got worse. They saw you walking past them. Lydia immediately calls after you to retreat.
You walked towards another set of doors pushing it forwards, the door creaking in response. You stood in the hallway. Staring down the dark eery hallways. There wasn’t anyone around. You never liked school at night. That gut feeling in your chest was telling you to turn back, and you almost did, except the low growl behind you caused a chill down your spine. You spun around slowly, your breathing labored as you now face what you were scared of encountering tonight. Your boyfriend was in full rage. You keep still in your tracks as two glowing eyes stare right back at you.
“Stiles.” You slowly stood. The only response was a grunt and heavy breathing. That further told your flight or fight response to take a step away from him.
“This isn’t you okay, it’s the moon taking control of you.”
“This is me!” He roared, making you flinch.
“No, it’s not!” You cried out. You took each step back with caution.
“Baby, just, just find an anchor, okay? Yeah, an anchor, okay. Think of me.” You nodded.
“The only thing I’m thinking is wanting to sink my teeth in that pretty neck of yours!”
Oh you were in total shit.
“Stiles please, okay. You have to fight this!” You pleaded. You couldn’t stop crying.
“Y/N!” You whipped your head to see Lydia and Mason approaching you. Stiles took your distraction as an advantage, rushing forward, full charge, the collision of your bodies was enough to knock you off balance. You slipped on your feet falling on your back.
“Stiles...” You whispered out in pain. You watched him slowly hover over you looking at you as if you were prey. Your eyes widened fearing the worst to come.
“No!” Lydia screamed, she was running to you as fast as she could in her heeled boots. Mason watched in terror as you screamed out in agony.
You didn’t know what was happening. It felt like a blur. You felt a tremendous amount of pain in your chest, your senses were going numb. You were going in and out of an unconscious state of mind. Then everything seemed to go dark. Stiles had finally stopped, his brain slowly starting to process what he just did. His claws were dripping with blood. Your blood. His eyes went back to their original chocolate brown. He hesitantly brought a hand to your face caressing it softly. His eyes trailed down to the gory sight of your chest and stomach covered in claw marks. His doing. He let out a shaky breath as his eyes found your face again. His hand hovering over you, not wanting to further touch you, but his heart was trying to reach out for you
“Y/n? Y/n, hey, please wake up.” He whispered. “Y/n, please!”
“Stiles!” Scott’s voice rang out like an echo. Footsteps could be heard beating down the hall, growing closer to the messy sight of you laying still in Stiles’ arms.
“No, no, no! Y/n!” Stiles yelled out. He brought you into his chest, rocking you back and forth and kissing your temple. Your head pulled back. Eyes closed. Your whole body was limp. You were practically weightless. He could no longer hear your heart beating.
“No, baby, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” He choked up. “Open your eyes, let me see them again, please...” He weeped.
Scott, Malia, Liam, and Hayden didn’t hear the rhythmic beating in your chest no more. You were gone. Lydia was on the floor weeping for you.
Stiles had a feeling that someone was going to end up hurt, he knew the risks of the supermoon, but he didn’t think you were going to be the casualty of tonight, nor did he think that he would be the one to take away your life. Sirens could be heard from a distance. It wasn’t the ambulance though, it was Stiles’ father and Deputy Parrish.
“Stiles...” Sheriff Stilinski ran up to his son, his gaze stopped on you. “Oh god...Is she?”
“Yeah,” Lydia responded.
“Oh god…” Sheriff Stilinski ran a hand down his face. It was bad enough he was dealing with all the supernatural stuff, but to see you, his son’s girlfriend lying dead in his arms was worse. He saw you like his own daughter and wanted to keep you safe, but then again no one was ever safe in Beacon Hills.
“I killed her dad,” Stiles muttered.
“Stiles-” His dad started.
“No! She’s dead because of me. She’s dead!” He shouted out. All gazes suddenly fell on him.
Everyone knew what would happen if they ever took an innocent’s life. They’ve heard the stories. They knew the outcome. They knew how Derek ended up.
“What?” He cried out.
“Stiles…your eyes, they’re blue.”

Protocols - Kaidan
[Heavy smut, choking, facesitting, bdsm undertones, use of military titles in bed, sub Kaidan, dom Reader, power bottom reader, gentle end, AFAB!reader, femshep]
Kaidan helps his commander manager her anger in more healthy ways that involve you sitting on his face.
Tumblr media
There was only so much noise the walls of the Normandy ship could muffle.
It came to no one's surprise when their commander's voice grew louder and louder. A powerful yell after another as the heated argument between you and the ambassador of humanity went on in the comm room.
Your crew have witnessed you keep your cool even during the most panic-inducing situations, hold your tongue against the most scummy of people as you diplomatically sway them to your side.
They haven't seen you snap this way, not in so long, at least. The last time it happened, Captain Anderson was still in charge, and he swiftly resolved it.
After all, there was only a single man in this galaxy that commander Shepard would ever bow to.
Yet, they'd be lying if they said they hadn't seen it coming, you despised people like the ambassador and he never understood the concept of taking a step without crushing someone's toes while looking them in the eyes.
The clash between you two was never a matter of if, but a matter of when.
Kaidan just never expected it to happen so soon after the defeat of Saren. He thought politicians were meant to be smart, so why would Udina keep holding this grudge even after Anderson was appointed to the council.
Was the only report you've given anyone when you came back from your most recent council meeting, Garrus and Liara toeing carefully behind you with their tails tucked behind their legs, walking on eggshells around this new side of humanity they witnessed today.
“That son of a bitch stabbed me in the back, lieutenant, no one crosses me and lives to tell the tale. No One.”
Storming your way to the helm of the ship next, your hand slammed down against the smooth surface of the deck as your presence demanded attention. “Patch me through to the human embassy, Joker.”
“Uh…commander, do you wanna go for a walk before that? Take up yoga, maybe? I've heard it does wonders for the-” Joker's failed attempt at humour was put to an end as he met your stern eyes.
“Do I have to repeat my command, pilot?”
He didn't seem phased by your temper, more bored with having to play military officials for a while. “No, ma’am. Patching you through, ma'am.”
You disappeared into the comm room afterwards, and the screaming match followed shortly as the ambassador connected to the line.
By that time, Kaiden had already gone back to his usual station below the navigation deck.
If traces of your wrath managed to trickle down to the lower decks, Kaiden could only imagine what the upper decks are going through right now, wondering if anyone will get any sleep tonight.
But you see, that's where the benefits of having a crew you're very acclimated with shine through. Captain Anderson was never known for his lack of temper either, just like captain like commander.
Although some of the newer recruits are probably lost on what to do, why is everyone treating what seems like an unusual anomaly as a slight change in the weather. Some are nervous, others indifferent, while some approving, most likely Ashley. if it was up to her, she would hold down the ambassador for you to lay the punches on, only if you'd only say the word.
Kaidan was fidgeting with the computer screen just behind the railings, leading to the sleep pods. opening and closing apps, checking the task manager just to stare at the cpu going up and down with every action he performed, you know what people do when they want to look like they're busy, when something is clearly distracting them.
Or a specific someone, in this case.
Old habits die hard, he thought he outgrow his juvenile's self affinity for certain military themed erotica sites that held less than ideal videos about just how…adventurous and…authoritarian military women tended to be.
He tried really hard, you never made it easy with your low voice ordering him to come close by, the various times you've lifted someone up by their throat with a single arm just to threaten their whole existence, the weapons attached to your back bringing attention to your god-like sculpted body under that skin tight shiny armour.
God, even the specific manufacturer of your armour had a branch where they made latex replicas for the use of the general public when it came to certain private hobbies.
He is thirty two, he thought he left those youthful lustful fantasies back in his twenties and yet they're creeping back from under his skin with each yell of your voice, each audible slam of your hands down on a hard surface, each time a curse word slipped past your diplomacy painted lips that usually held nothing but honeyed smooth promises of help, strumming the heroics lyre like it was your second nature.
Why did your voice have to sound so hot throwing insults at people who outrank you?
Oh how much he'd kill just to be a fly on that wall, witness your wrath first hand in all of its glory, hope he may never end up on the receiving end whilst wishing you'd bear your fangs over more people to keep them in line.
He's too lost in the fantasy of you standing over him, boot against his chest as you push him onto the ground. Eyes filled with fury, ordering him to strip.
Would it be corny to imagine a whip in your other hand? Well, it's his imagination. He deserves to get a little self-indulgent, no matter how corny it might be.
Your sweat makes your hair stick to your forehead as you crack the whip just next to his face, sending a shiver down his spine as a small cut forms on the side of his cheek. Kaidan wonders if you'd bend down to his level and lick the blood droplets away before crashing your mouth into his mouth, teeth, and all tugging at his lips.
Or maybe you'd press your thumb painfully against his cut until it burns, making him hiss in pain while resisting the urge to pull away from the hand cupping his cheek, arousal drowning out the pain as you coo at him for being such a good boy for his commander, a perfect soldier toy for you to use however you see fit.
This is tethering dangerous territory, the Normandy crew uniform isn't the most subtle when it came to hiding the slowly rising heat between his legs and Kaidan fears what would happen if someone happened to be walking by.
“Lieutenant.”
it takes him some seconds to register that your voice came from the outside rather than the inside of his brain. Kaidan quickly straightens his posture and turns to face you, hands casually clasped in front of him.
“How can I help you, commander?”
“Cut the act, Alenko, I'm here for you, not for my lieutenant.”
Kaidan's body visibility relaxed as he took a step closer to you, a light chuckle leaving his mouth before he said “you really gave it to Udina up there, huh Shepard, I've never seen you this…active since a long time ago.”
“He got what he deserves. I just hope it was enough to scare him off my back.”
“Me too, Shepard. So, uh, did you need something else. A shoulder to lean on, maybe?.”
“You could say it's something like that.” Your voice dipped in volume, took a sweeter, more smooth tone, one that only Kaidan is ever so familiar with.
His eyes widen slightly, and memory after another of that night, the two of you shared flashes back so quickly he almost swears he could still feel the heat of your skin against his naked body.
Swallowing down, Kaiden resists the urge to bring up the protocol against fraternisation as he tells himself it's okay. The two of you have earned it. Not to mention that you look like you really need it, so maybe it's not so bad to break rules every now and then.
“What…uh, did you have in mind, Shepard?”
“Kaidan” the temptation in your voice made him hold his breath, “how strong is your neck?” The way you cupped his face so gently with the most lustful half lidded look in your eyes.
Okay, who is he fooling? He is the one who desperately needs this. At times, he feels like he needs it more than air, the deep longing echoing in his body, the unfulfilled needs that never get sated no matter how much he tries. It's like you made it impossible for him to find release in anything that doesn't involve him moaning your name with your legs wrapped around him.
-
If someone asked Kaidan how he wished to meet his end, then at the line of duty, protecting the vulnerable would've been his answer on any given normal day.
but currently, nothing could convince him not to throw his life away just for another second between your thighs, another minute of your full weight pressing down on his face and burying his mouth against your aching cunt.
you're grinding down against his nose and harshly riding his face, powerful thighs that walked and ran the terrains of various planets like it was nothing, that held down against the knock-back of every heavy gun you've used, that kept you stable and grounded no matter who your foes were.
Are currently hugging his head, pressing against the side of his face and drowning him. narrowing his vision just to focus on you and your wet dripping heat that he eagerly laps up with every thrust of your hips, tongue chasing to catch every bit of your wetness so it may go down his throat where it belongs.
he has never felt more in his appropriate place in his life, under a powerful woman, tugging his hair and making use of him. not just any woman to boost, but The Commander Shepard, the hero of the human race, the person single handedly responsible for reducing this grown man into a desperate soldier, eager to please his mistress.
Your tight grip against his hair strands only makes him feel more used, pathetic in an addicting way. you could snap his neck in half with your big thighs, and he'd still thank you for it as you dragged him by the hair to the medical wing nearby.
The sound of your moans fill the captain's room, telling him how good of a job he's doing eating you out. Mercilessly fucking back into his face without a care as you test the limits of how resilient your subordinate is.
Strong hands gripping your thighs, no doubt leaving prints behind as they pull you further down into him as if he just can't get enough of your taste, can't swallow down enough of your wetness. Taking clear pride in the amount of pleasure he's providing by serving under you.
without doing anything, all of your needs are accounted for as one of his hands lets go of your thigh and two fingers rub your clit to match the pace you're grinding down with, releasing in the arch of your back whenever he presses hard against the bundle of nerves.
“Fuck, keep going. Don't you dare stop soldier.” breathlessly you give him the order as your hand pulls harshed against his hair, making his mind melt in a mix of pain and pleasure.
And something about referring to him with a lower title than his rank makes his hips buck in frustration, the room air indifferent against his naked body while his hard cock leaks in neglect.
Using military titles in bed was never his forte, but like everything else you do, you manage to be the exception to every rule known to mankind.
Suddenly he can't but crave to prove himself to you, remind you that he is your lieutenant and not just another soldier, that he has more authority than most people on this ship just so your eyes may stay looking at him and never wander away. He will be as powerful as you need him to be, and as submissive as you order him to, he will get on his knees every day for you if that's what his commander wishes for.
Just keep him by your side, let him have more of you, take up more of your personal time, and press his lips against your neck.
He can't wait for shore leave when this routine mission ends. The idea of waking up next to you on a soft bed for once sounds like heaven. He has a nice apartment he will happily take you back to and spoil you rotten, show you just how much of a romantic he can be.
It's just another routine mission.
The way your thighs start quivering and pressing against him harder makes him think you're close, they're almost choking the air out of him but he doesn't pay it any attention and focuses on your own pleasure instead.
Tongue going deeper inside you before sliding out and licking a trail leading to your clit then going inside again, repeating this cycle and making sure he doesn't cut any corners when it comes to eating you out.
With a loud yell of his name, your whole weight finally collapses down on him as you reach your climax. Cutting off his breath and making him swallow down all of your cum and lap it up.
When you eventually pull away and scoot back to sit on his chest instead, you notice the mess you've made of his face. Your wetness staining his mouth and jaw as he looks at you eagerly for how well of a job He had done.
And Kaidan seems to share your relief, noticing how more relaxed he managed to get your body to be, how there is a hint of a smile in the corners of your lips, how all the anger and frustration fizzled out.
A sudden moan is forced out of him when you lean back and grip his aching cock in your hand, giving it a good pump to squeeze out the precum.
Kaidan bites his lip with desperation in his eyes, silently begging for you to go on. Moaning out a small thank you when you move back until your wet heat is directly above his hard cock.
The head rubbing against your folds, making him lose his mind and use all of his self-control to not just thrust up. He can't even imagine the idea of disobeying you, so he surrenders to your will as you continue to tease and edge his poor throbbing cock.
Thankfully, you seem to be in a good mood, for the next thing he knows is the feeling of your heat fully wrapping around him and taking him inside.
Kaidan clutches the white sheets underneath him, Back arching as your silky insides squeeze His cock for all he's worth.
“Think you can handle me, Alenko? Or should I go slow?”
you haven't even started yet, and he feels like seconds away from bursting, with a shake of his head, he manages to speak out. “Slow, have mercy, Shepard.”
“You got it, lieutenant.” Your words held more gentleness to them, leaning forward and peppering kisses against the corner of his mouth as your hips moved up and down slowly.
Gently rocking against him and moving at his own pace, Kaiden melted into your kiss and wrapped his arms around your waist. chasing your mouth after you broke the kiss.
Focusing on his neck, you sucked and marked the tender flesh as he squirmed in pleasure underneath you. Keeping the slow pace and waiting for him to give you the signal to go faster.
By the time Kaidan was close, you made sure to hold him tight and against you and let him bury his face in your chest. Strong arms trembling as they hugged you for dear life while you fucked his cock in and out of you.
You felt his cum fill your insides, his release leaking out of you and down his cock as you stayed relentless and kept moving your hips until there was no more for him to give.
Cupping his face, You were met with his lovestruck eyes that stared at you in awe as if you were something phenomenal, as if he has never met a person like you before in his life.
and you let him catch his breath. Slipping his cock from Inside you as he laid back on the bed.
You got up and headed to the private bathroom in your room, cleaning yourself and bringing a warm towel back to the bed to clean Kaidan with. Rubbing it against his skin gently and wiping off all the sweat, wetness and cum. It will do for now until he could regain his strength for a shower.
Putting your military casual wear back on, you leaned back against your desk as you watched him doze off on your bed. Naked skin glistening and a heat colouring his face.

Werewolf Au! Jungkook x Reader / Enemies to Lovers [Angst and mature content. Not smut but almost smut.]
Summary: Jungkook finally found her. His mate. His lifelong partner. But she's a human. Does he have to stay with her or can he stick it to whatever and whoever binds mates together and make his own decision?
Chapter 1 Chapter 2
She winced and shut her eyes as Jin pulled out the last piece of glass in her leg.
“And you’re done!” Jin chimed, “Now all we have left is to clean you up and put some ointment on you and you should be good as new.”
“Thanks.” was all she could muster. It was still hard to find her voice after everything her and Jennie had been through. Being in a room with six real life werewolves didn’t help either.
Taehyung had taken Jennie back to his house behind the cabin wanting nothing else to do but stay by her side. Jin and Mina came home right after the chaos, the brand new groceries they bought forgotten outside in the cold. Jin had reassured her that Mina would take the best care of Jennie as she vehemently opposed having Jennie out of her sight. She finally let Jennie go when Taehyung promised that he'd keep her safe.
The pain from Jin tending to her wounds made her want to pass out numerous times but her body fought the need to, afraid to be unconscious during such an unpredictable moment. Fortunately, the pack was very kind and comforting, except for one member who hadn’t said a word to her yet.
“You’re quite the fighter. I heard your kicks from up the hill.” Hoseok, the one with the bright smile complimented.
She could only smile back and shrug. She had met the pack once at Jennie’s birthday but never got to know them on a personal level. Everyone was too busy partying and attempting to tame Taehyung when he went sicko mode to have a conversation. In all the fairytales she read, none of the stories ever talked about how beautiful werewolves were and surprisingly hospitable too.
“Yeah, what you saw are called rogue werewolves. They’re incredibly disgusting and dangerous. They take pleasure in playing with their hunt often ripping their prey-“
“Jimin,” Namjoon turned to him with a forced smile, “I don’t think now is the right time. In fact, let’s give her some space guys.”
Jimin scratched the back of his head and offered her a quiet apology accompanied by a meek smile. One by one, the members followed Namjoon, offering a sympathetic look as they left. Jungkook was the last in the line, his footsteps heavy and his mind cloudy.
“Actually Jungkook, could you stay for just a few minutes. I have to go prepare some cream for these two.” Jin said, face still facing towards her.
“I-uh, sure.” Jungkook stammered.
“I’ll be right back,” Jin placed a hand on her head, “you’re in good hands.”
She felt the emptiness of his presence immediately. Jin was so warm and gentle, making sure to soothe her with words whenever she whimpered or flinched. Jungkook on the other hand had dark eyes complimented with a piercing gaze. He seemed uncomfortable and almost annoyed. She tried not to look at him because every time she did, that foreign feeling that she had when she first met him would fill her entire body.
She heard Jungkook take a seat on Jin’s stool, the legs squeaking against the floorboard.
“H-how are you feeling?” he asked.
Her eyes fluttered closed at the sound of his voice. If looking at him proved to be difficult, the sound of his voice was almost unbearable.
“You um..you did a good job,” he continued, “those things are sometimes hard for us to fight.”
She pushed back the sigh wanting to escape from her chest. His voice was soft and coated in honey. Realizing that she might look even more crazy than she already did trying to drown in his voice while covered in blood and cuts, she opened her eyes to face him making sure to look at his nose.
Jungkook saw her lips move but he couldn’t hear a thing. He was too hyper fixated on the details of her face to hear a thing. The drumming of his heart and the pulses of electricity shooting up and down his spine was quite the distraction as well. When Taehyung and him were racing down the hill, he could hear every sound she made but not Jennie, he only heard her. He soon realized that the adrenaline coursing through his body was because she was in danger. Jungkook had known for a long time how strong the bond between two mates was but now he was experiencing it first hand and he hated it. Having a human mate that was chosen for him was already irritating but now he had the ability to feel what she felt. Jungkook was losing control of his own life bit by bit and it’s all because of her. He turned his attention to her hands that were clasped tightly against her lap and felt his muscles relax slightly. She didn’t know what was going on and he wasn’t sure if she felt what he felt whenever they looked at each other. No one knew Jungkook’s secret and he was going to keep it that way.
“Um Jungkook.” He hated how much he liked the way his name sounded coming from her.
He looked at her with a raised brow, ignoring the pulsating energy going through him when he did.
“You’re bleeding.” she whispered pointing at his hands.
Jungkook furrowed his brows in confusion and looked down at his hands. It was then he realized that he had been digging his nails into his palm so hard that each one had drawn blood. She flinched when he got up with a jolt, the stool almost toppling over in the process.
“I’m going to check on Jin.” Jungkook murmurs, keeping his head down.
“Wait before you leave!” she suddenly called, both of them surprised by how quickly she found her voice.
Jungkook kept his hand on the doorknob, body still turned away from her.
“Why were you at my house a few days ago?”
Neither of them dared to move or breathe. Jungkook felt the doorknob growing warm by how hard he was gripping it. His mind was loud trying to run through believable lies.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Jungkook lied, “try to get some rest.”
With that, he left not glancing back at all.
________________________
Tired eyes stared at Namjoon waiting for the leader to dismiss the pack. It was nearing three in the morning and many questions were still left unanswered. Where did the rogue wolf come from? Is there more coming? Why did it appear in public so comfortably? Namjoon was particularly stressed because he felt like he was letting his pack down. He was the one that was supposed to have all the answers but this situation perplexed him as much as the other member.
“I think we should just be happy that the girls are okay,” Yoongi spoke out, exhausted and wanting nothing but to sleep, “we should all get some rest and figure it out tomorrow.”
Namjoon nodded at Yoongi as a thank you to which Yoongi replied with a slight tug of his lips. The members all got up grumbling in response to show their dissatisfaction with how the meeting left them with more concerns. Jungkook remained seated watching as Namjoon carefully approached Taehyung whose eyes had yet to shift back to their normal brown hue. He heard Namjoon tell Taehyung not to worry too much before patting him on the back and retreating to his room. There was so much noise around Jungkook of footsteps, doors being closed, goodnights being exchanged yet for some reason, he could hear her breaths she was taking as she was sleeping loud and clear. Soon it was just Jungkook and Taehyung left in the living room, both tired but unable to sleep. Taehyung let out a deep breath as he let his body drop onto their sofa, hands tucked behind his head and eyes staring at the ceiling. Jungkook leaned against the armchair he was situated in and dropped his head over the headrest, eyes closed trying to block out her breathing.
“How’s Jennie holding up?” Jungkook asked.
“She’ll be okay.” Taehyung replied.
“That’s good to hear.” Jungkook said, reciprocating Taehyung's flat tone.
No matter how hard Jungkook tried, his mind kept wandering over to her. He wondered what she was dreaming about or if she was dreaming at all. He wondered if she felt the way he did whenever they were near each other. At the end of the day it didn’t matter what he wondered because he knew that most of the things he felt about her was not his own doing. As long as he didn’t act on his primal instincts, wondering should be okay.
“It just doesn’t make sense.” Taehyung suddenly said.
Jungkook chuckled. The older one had a habit of talking to himself out loud and conjuring sentences that didn’t make sense.
“You and I were the only ones who knew that something was wrong.” Taehyung continued.
Jungkook didn’t reply, instead, let the older boy ramble. They were all used to Taehyung spewing nonsense. On some rare occasions however, they had gotten themselves out of some pretty sticky situations after translating some of Taehyung’s babbles.
“I know why I knew something was up but I wonder how you knew.” Taehyung pushed on.
Jungkook’s breath hitched in his throat. Taehyung was now upright, resting on his elbows looking at the youngest member with a sly smile.
“Jungkookie,” Taehyung sang and felt his smile grow bigger at the younger one’s irritation, “you found your mate.”
Taehyung didn’t flinch at all when Jungkook threw the closest thing near him across the room, not caring who it woke up. There was now a hole at the wall and the pack would give him an earful for destroying the tv remote tomorrow.
“Why are you hiding it? And why are you acting like such a piss baby?” Taehyung hammered on.
“I’m not hiding anything. I heard them from miles away.” Jungkook answered between gritted teeth.
Taehyung rolled his eyes and laughed, “You’re such a bad fucking liar.”
“Why don’t you shut the fuck up, Taehyung?” Jungkook growled, ready to rip out Taehyung’s throat.
The sound of something hitting the wall was heard from Yoongi’s room followed by him screaming, “Shut the fuck up!” Taehyung sighed and got up, shaking his head in the process. He approached the younger member not caring about Jungkook’s clenched fists or threatening demeanor.
“Don’t forget what happened to Namjoon before he knew it was too late.” Taehyung whispered, afraid that the leader could hear.
Jungkook lowered his gaze to the oak floors and watched Taehyung’s feet disappear from the living room going back to Jennie.
________________________________
It had been a few days since the attack. She was slowly gaining her strength back and all her wounds were healing in a miraculous pace thanks to all of Jin’s herbal creams. Jin had told her that the forest nearby was full of magical plant life that could cure any ailment. She was still debating whether or not she believed him because she heard him tell Jimin earlier to go eat a mouthful of mushrooms from the forest and die after he had teased Jin about something very miniscule.
She watched the pack and Jennie laugh through her bedroom window. They were all outside enjoying the fresh air. Jungkook and Hoseok were playing their own version of football while the rest were sitting on lawn chairs watching. Jennie was bundled up in multiple layers of clothing to keep warm while the boys were comfortable lounging in tshirts and shorts. She felt a small ache of jealousy in her heart. Jennie looked so at home and the pack seemed to regard her as one of their own. She wondered what it felt like to belong to a group and fully loved by so many people. She also felt silly for feeling jealous about Jennie’s Twilight life but damn what an exciting life Jennie had secretly been living. Once she was all healed up, she would return back to her mundane life and pretend like nothing from this week had ever happened. There was so much about this world she wanted to learn about now that she knew it was real. She found her eyes drifting over to Jungkook who was standing with his hands on his waist bullying Hoseok. His long black hair slightly sticking to his forehead from sweat and his eyes turning into crescent moons as he laughed made her stomach flip upside down. Jungkook was very easy to stare at and that was as close as she could get to him. She could never talk to him because he was never around and being too close to him made her body feel like it was on fire. Jungkook had some sort of effect on her that she had never felt before in her life. She had had boyfriends in the past but they had never made her skin flush and her stomach turn the way Jungkook did. She didn’t realize that the corners of her lips had turned up while admiring his features and her body leaned in closer to the window as if to take in as much as she possibly could meters away.
“How are you doing?” a voice behind her asks.
She tore her eyes away from Jungkook and turned around to see Mina standing by her door. Mina was so beautiful in every way. Her physical traits, her personality, her aura, everything. Like Jin, she was so comforting and soothing to be around.
“I’m doing a lot better thanks to you guys.” she answered, leaving the window and making her way around her bed.
Mina gave her a smile and entered her room. She watched Mina’s eyes go towards the window.
“Why aren’t you out there with them?” Mina asked, sitting next to her.
“Why aren’t you?” she asked back laughing when Mina sucked her teeth and nudged her ribcage.
They sat in a comfortable silence for a minute as she pondered how to answer Mina’s question.
“Honestly I just feel like an intruder,” she finally replies with a forced chuckle, “once I’m all healed up I will be out of all your guys’ hair!”
Mina shook her head and sighed.
“For the millionth time, you are not an intruder,” Mina calming voice filled her chest with a warm reassurance, “besides, I think there is someone who is very glad you’re here although it may not seem like it.”
She looked over at Mina who was staring at the wall in front of them. Although Mina didn’t say his name, she felt the butterflies in her stomach swarm. She felt like she was back in high school crushing on some boy she had never spoken to but had only seen glimpses of as he walked past her in the hallway.
“Who?” she asked curiously.
Mina got up, smoothing her skirt in the process before tousling the human’s hair.
“Whoever flashed in your brain just now is the one I’m talking about and the one you’ve been watching silently by your window over there.” Mina winked.
_________________________________
As the week passed, her relationship with the pack grew stronger but her relationship with Jungkook grew stranger. She was now able to opnely joke with everyone else and felt at ease eating at the dinner table with the whole pack. With Jungkook however, their relationship was at the stage of seeing each other at the end of a hallway and then going the other way. Whenever she did have to come into contact with Jungkook, she noticed that Namjoon and Mina would watch them with a knowing look. Tonight, she volunteered to clean up after dinner and Nmajoon volunteered Jungkook who protested but was immediately shut down by the leader. The kitchen that was bustling with noise and laughter a few minutes ago was now quiet; the sound of dishes clanking together filling the awkward silence between them.
“You don’t have to help if you really don’t want to.” she said, keeping her eyes on the dishes she was washing.
“I really don’t want to but Namjoon would kill me.” Jungkook mumbled.
Jungkook was in charge of cleaning up the table which didn’t take too much time. He watched her wash the dishes and felt guilty when he saw how much she was struggling just lifting up plates with her arms that had only begun to heal. Jungkook may resent her but he wasn’t cruel. Watching her hands slightly shake as she picked up a pan further proved his point that humans get nothing in return with this whole mate thing. He would get stronger, his senses sharper and his instincts better while she would just remain…human.
“Why don’t you just dry the dishes and I wash them.” Jungkook sighed, finally making his way next to her.
She didn’t respond, only scooting over to make room for him. There was a strict boundary between the few centimetres separating the two of them. It would only take one of them turning around to cross the border that the both of them had silently set up. Jungkook filled his side of the sink up with warm water and poured as much dish detergent in there to mask her scent as much as possible. It took every inch of strength within his muscles to not brush his fingers against her hand. He felt like one of those weird high school boys who had just hit puberty and wanted nothing more but a hug from any female that would look his way. Jungkook’s body ached for any kind of physical contact with her but he wouldn’t allow it. As the days went by, Jungkook felt more and more drained. It was mentally and physically taxing fighting against his instincts when she was living under the same roof as him. It didn’t help that his heat was nearing either. There were times when he would give in and allow himself some sort of gratification through a quick glimpse of her or lingering in a spot that she had left to allow her scent to embed into his skin. With his heat just a week away, Jungkook’s fill of stares and smells turned into a sick hunger. He would go to bed and imagine the things he would do to her during his heat. He’d wonder what she tasted like and if she’d get sweeter and sweeter the longer he went down on her. He’d try to think of what she would sound like taking his full length and how pretty she’d look dripping his load down her thighs after he was done with her. Jungkook would wake up with a raging boner that wouldn’t go away for hours and then he would get angry. Angry at how his body was reacting to some bullshit fate and angry at her. As his body grew more weak and his mind more chaotic, he almost started to hate her.
She cleared her throat in attempts to get Jungkook’s attention and to break the silence.
“So um, Namjoon told me that you’re the youngest in the pack. What’s that like?” she asked.
Jungkook frowned, almost rolling his eyes at how stupid her question was. This was another reason having a human as a mate was so frustrating. Jungkook and her come from two very different worlds. Her world was simple: wake up, go to work, socialize, sleep and repeat. Whereas Jungkook’s world was full of things that humans had been trying to answer for centuries and never getting close to solving. Majority of them didn’t even know Jungkook’s world existed.
“I don’t understand your question.” Jungkook said, plopping a washed dish on her side of the sink to dry.
Her throat began to dry up and she began to feel embarrassed for even trying to start a conversation with Jungkook. He was such a tough one to crack but she knew by how he treated his pack that he was kind, warm and lively. He even seemed to treat Jennie like a sister. But when Jungkook interacted with her, it was like a whole new person; he was distant and untouchable. Jungkook seemed to avoid her like a plague and she didn’t know why. Living with his pack for a week has peeled back many layers of reality for her. For one, magical creatures from fairy tales exist and yesterday she saw Namjoon chant something at the moon before a glowing circle surrounded their house. Apparently it was a safety barrier Namjoon set up every night but she was too freaked out to ask anymore questions. Knowing the little bit of information she knew now, she knew that the way her body reacted around Jungkook was too intense for it to be one-sided. Biting the insides of her cheeks, she decided to try to converse with Jungkook one more time.
“I guess since wolves have a pack dynamic and every member has a role to play, I wonder what it’s like to be the youngest member of a pack is all.” she tried to smile.
“Are you equating us to wild animals?” Jungkook scoffed.
She dropped everything in her hands to face Jungkook with widened eyes, “What? No! I just thought it was similar. I didn’t mean to offend you.”
Jungkook mirrored her actions and turned to her. His body completely towering over hers and his amber eyes burning a hole through her head.
“You’ve only been here for a week. Keep your ignorance to yourself until you leave please.” Jungkook said through gritted teeth.
Her widened eyes from earlier now cold as she leaned closer to his face, the both of them ignoring the surge of electricity traveling through their body from her actions.
“You’re an asshole,” she said, almost hissing, “I’ve done absolutely nothing to warrant the way you’ve been treating me this whole week.”
She stepped away from him, not being able to handle the way his breath felt on her cheek. Her fists were clenched tightly against her body as she felt her anger begin to rise at the werewolf.
“And don’t worry, I’m leaving tonight. Thanks for your hospitality.” she instantly regretted saying what she did. She had no way of going home unless someone offered to drive her or call her an uber. She wouldn’t even know what to input as her location. Magical forest or Werewolf forest perhaps?
“You can’t leave tonight.” Namjoon’s voice spoke.
Both her and Jungkook jumped at the sudden sound of his presence. Namjoon was leaning against the fridge with his arms crossed. His jaw was clenched and his foot was tapping against the floor in an impatient beat. She felt her body relax at the sight of Namjoon. Throughout her time here, Namjoon had made her feel the most seen and safe. He willingly answered any questions she had and always made sure to include her in conversations during lunch or dinner time.
“Thank you for welcoming me into your home but I think I have worn out my stay here. I’m leaving tonight.” she was able to muster one last time before pushing past Namjoon to her bedroom. There was so much she wanted to say to Namjoon and the pack before she left and maybe never see them again. She’d deal with how to contact them in the future to thank them properly for taking care of her but right now, she needed to go.
“We leave you alone with her for 5 minutes and now she’s leaving.” Namjoon sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Jungkook shook his head as he stared at the empty spot she was just standing at. A part of him felt guilty for pushing her so far away but a bigger part of him almost felt relieved that she was leaving. He could finally sleep and breathe. What he did was wrong and maybe when he finally found a new mate, he would find her and apologize for his behavior in the future.
“Her choice. You always tell us to respect other people’s decisions.” Jungkook smiled smugly despite knowing the tightline he was walking with Namjoon.
“Unless it is a decision that is harmful to themselves or others.” Namjoon snapped back. The leader grinded his teeth when Jungkook rolled his eyes.
“She’ll be fine. One of us will drive her home or whatever.” Jungkook sighed, wanting Namjoon’s holier than thou attitude to leave him alone.
Jungkook knew he had fucked up when he saw Namjoon take a deep breath and smile fondly at him. The leader approached him and placed both his hands on Jungkook’s shoulder, shaking his body slightly in almost a playful way.
“You’re right Jungkook! She’ll be okay because of the safety barrier I’ve put up these past nights. What are the barriers for again?” Namjoon asked, keeping a sickly sweet smile on his face.
Jungkook felt his chest tighten up. He had forgotten.
“Rogue wolves…” Jungkook answered in a hush when he remembered.
“Yes, rogue wolves. Their numbers the highest during this quarter of the moon. But she’ll be safe-oh wait! The barrier only stretches so far and she lives in the fucking city.” Namjoon’s face now dark and his grip on Jungkook’s shoulder tightening.
“And what do rogue wolves like the most, Jungkook?” Namjoon asked.
Jungkook refused to answer because he would have to tell the truth about her. Instead, he turned his head to face away from the leader.
“Her body is still weak and if she leaves tonight, she’ll die. Unless you’re willing to stay at her house day and night for a week to protect her from the rogues because what do they like the most Jungkook?” Namjoon asked, his voice harsh.
Jungkook’s eyes lowered to the ground, his shoulders falling alongside his gaze.
“Unclaimed mates.” Jungkook finally answered in a whisper.
“Get up there, apologize and stop her from leaving.” Namjoon pushed Jungkook’s body slightly before releasing his hold.
“She’s leaving? Why?”
Jungkook turned to a new voice entering the kitchen before groaning. By the kitchen’s entryway stood a scared looking Jennie and a jackass looking Taehyung.
“Why is she leaving?” Jennie asked again, worried eyes darting back and forth between Jungkook and Namjoon.
“No she’s…not. I have to um, I have to go talk to her.” Jungkook cleared his throat pushing past all three bodies and resisting the urge to punch the grin off Taehyung’s face.
She ignored the faint knocking on her door and continued to layer up as much as she could. She knew her plan was stupid but it was the only option that would allow her to leave without stirring up any conflict. She would leave while everyone was sleeping, walk through the forest until she reached a highway or a familiar location and call an uber. When she arrived home, she’d text Jennie and apologize for leaving abruptly before turning off her phone and sleeping until the next year.
She breathed a sigh of relief when the knocking finally stopped. “I’m just going to open the door.” Jungkook’s voice said from behind the door.
She froze as she watched the doorknob slowly turned. As the door opened, she braced herself for anymore shit he would spew at her only to reveal a defeated version of the spiteful man from earlier. Her eyes narrowed trying to figure out what he wanted as he closed the door behind him. Feeling embarrassed and ashamed, Jungkook kept his gaze focused on her neck. When he found that doing that made the lewd images in his mind that he usually formed at night to emerge, he decided suck it up and just make eye contact. The moment they locked eyes, he felt an ache in his chest so extreme he almost clutched his heart. Her eyes were flooded with tears and her face flushed indicating that she had been crying. Whether they were tears of anguish or anger, it made him feel physical pain.
"This mate thing is going to fucking kill me soon." Jungkook thought.
He didn't have time to process this new feeling or get angry how much control he was losing over his own body. He needed to convince her to stay for just a little longer. After a minute of silence, Jungkook finally spoke.
"Do you know what a mate is?" he asked, too stubborn to apologize.
She sighed and sat down on the corner of her bed, far away from him. She leaned back against her hands and stared at the ceiling, too exhausted to think.
"Kind of." she simply answered, not wanting to elaborate.
Jungkook looked out her window. The sun was just starting to set and they had a few more hours until Namjoon's safety barrier was needed.
"Let's go for a little walk. We have some things to talk about." Jungkook said.
[Hello! Sorry for the late upload! I hope your new year is starting off great!]

Cabinet Man Hippoworm AU
I’m having intense brainrot so I’m combining two of my special interests (Lemon Demon and Hippoworm) into one AU - let’s trudge through my insanity together, shall we? (also, this is a human AU, everyone except the turtles are human)
Ron (Hypno) is a magician and he’s also been shown to be pretty good with technology, so it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a version of himself that did the “ultimate” disappearing act and decided to turn himself into an unwinnable game. Why did he do this? Well, he tried out an actual magic spell he found and then things went sideways fast.
When Ron’s disappearing act is later reported as a death in the news, it’s of enough national interest for local newscaster Warren Stone to go out of his way to perform his own investigation. Soon enough, all of his leads run cold, leaving him at his wits end as he goes to his final site of interest, Albearto’s pizzeria.
Things are going just as poorly until the Hippo Crush arcade cabinet in the back draws him in, a nearly hypnotic pull that has captivated everyone else in line; children all waiting patiently for their turn. No one’s winning but no one’s complaining either. It’s an eerie silence only broken by sounds of 8-bit game play and the occasional button mash. And yet as Warren appears, the line parts, as if someone had pulled the kids aside with strings attached.
Warren reluctantly steps forward, the first step reluctant at least. The rest of the walk up is calm, his nervousness overridden by some unseen force. Compelled beyond his will.
So when he finally does get to the object of his complete attention, he blinks in surprise as the screen crackles and then flashes to life. Now filling his vision was the digitized version of the supposedly late Ron Pēwhairangi. Warren watches as Ron looks him up and down before winking.
There’s a moment of putting all the pieces together before Warren exclaims:
“Oh my god, you’re alive!”
Ron simply smiles back him, chuckling.
“And you’re as smart as you are handsome.”
___
More ideas for this AU include:
Ron’s digital avatar is a bipedal hippo when he’s not presenting as himself to Warren
Warren falls in love with Ron despite the whole arcade cabinet situation - Everyone is wondering why the fuck the local newscaster is bringing flowers to the Hippo Crush arcade cabinet
Warren and Ron go on a date after hours since the owner of the shop is absolutely gonna let this weird celebrity have a romance with his game that seemingly has a hold over people
Warren asking Ron how the hell his whole situation happened and getting a wild answer
The Purple Dragons break into the arcade one night to bust the machines for old tech and then they come across Ron and start destroying his cabinet
There’s gonna be a lot of traumatized teenagers
Warren enlists the help of Donatello to help fix Ron and things get fucky fast
Turns out a half-man half-machine is hard to fix
Oh, and April is working at Albearto’s the entire time and does her best to keep her job so she can keep spying on her favorite newscaster. She knows there’s something up with the Hippo Crush machine but never suspected that it was alive. The only knowledge she has about Ron comes from Leo who was incredibly upset that his favorite magician died a couple years prior.
[Feel free to contribute to this in the notes if you’d like! This is just a bunch of ideas. I rarely post about my AU ideas on here and mostly keep them on Discord in my son’s server. Decided to share this one here.]
Oh, and here’s the song that inspired all of this:

So, watched live action One Piece and now I'm watching/reading the OG stuff. No where close to done but my brain decided to fixate on Arlong so I can't help but talk about him a bit.
Something that I find kind of interesting about Arlong is that if you read his backstory then go back to the main Arc he was in you actually realize he's way more mellow then he was in the past. Now, he's still awful but given what we're shown of him in Jinbe's flashbacks I think it kind of shows that he did, in a weird way (and not in the way Fisher Tiger would have wanted) changed due to Fisher Tiger's words on not killing humans.
In the past Arlong was constantly advocating for killing humans and terrorizing them so they'd learn their place. He never warms up to Koala despite the rest of the crew--including his own friends coming to like her. Everyone is sad to see her go even Kurobi who is later one of the worst in Arlong's crew.
After Fisher Tiger's Death it's clear Arlong was going to kill everyone in Koala's village (and no doubt would have killed Koala). He was stopped and put in Impel Down--a notoriously hellish prison (run by humans). It's not clear how long he was there, but probably at least a few months, which is a long time in a place like that.
After his pardon he leaves Jinbe and the Grand Line. Presumably he started taking over villages pretty soon after.
Now, what I find interesting is that this is by far the most justified Arlong is in his hate of humans, yet it's also the nicest we ever see him being to them. Before Fisher Tiger's death and reveal of being a slave, or his time in Impel Down Arlong hated humans because of things that although affected him were not things he himself suffered.
Arlong was never a slave, and at least Hachi, Chew and Kurobi were also never slaves. They were all orphans and this might have been the fault of human pirates who attacked Fish-Men Island, but we don't know that for sure, and it's never brought up as a grievance of theirs. They know Fish-men and mermaids are taken as slaves and they surely get racist treatment from the visiting humans, but they don't have first hand experience with human cruelty--like slavery or murder.
Not until Fisher Tiger is killed for helping a human girl go home after being a slave do they experience real loss due to humans. From there, Arlong is captured and imprisoned in Impel Down where he was surely treated terrible by humans during his time there (given they treat everyone bad there). Yet, despite saying he's the anger of the fish-men he does not actually kill nearly as many humans as you'd think, given how he acts in the past.
In fact in a lot of ways he seems to try not to kill humans if he can get away with other methods of control instead.
Tumblr media
This is when he takes over Nami's village. This is not long after Fisher Tiger's death which Arlong wanted to kill an entire village for. Yet, now, despite a huge uprising happening, with nearly the entire village of humans trying to attack them, he's not going for the kill.
Tumblr media
This is him probably less then a year before the panel above. He's furious and saying he embodies the rage of all Fish-Men. Yet he arrives to the village and tells his crew not to kill anyone despite their open hostility.
Yes, he wants money because he (supposedly) wants to take over the East Blue(world?) but he's already got his money and killing a few villagers should be no big deal--he plans on taking over more anyway.
In the end though, he does only kill Bell-mere due to her lack of money. She makes a good example, of course, but he was more then willing to let her live, despite her shoving a gun in his mouth before she used the money for Nami and her sister.
This is a huge change in a short amount of time.
Tumblr media
This is another time he and his crew don't kill for zero reason. They have been attacked all day by members of Luffy's crew. Zoro absolutely beat the shit out of his guys earlier that day. He was furious when Usopp dared to fire on him (to the point of flipping a damn house) but now they just leave two strangers (so not cash cows) alive? Usopp--was worth Arlong's anger, but suddenly two other random humans doing the same thing aren't worth killing?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is how he responds to Zoro being what I would assume is racist given what Arlong says. He does not know who this guy is--Zoro was found tied to a boat and just brought to him and his first words are racist. Yet, Arlong lets it 'slide once'. Again this is the guy who hit a child for no reason except she was human way before he lost Fisher Tiger or went to the human torture prison. Yet now he's putting up with a stranger calling him racist names?
Going back to Usopp, this is how furious Arlong was when he was attacked:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's so furious that for a moment he's willing to destroy one of his money making villages, right after losing one not to long ago, just to kill one human guy who didn't actually hurt him, nor are they a rebelling villager.
Yet this is how he acts once Usopp gets caught.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is after he comes back to Arlong Park to find most of his crew beaten to a pulp by Zoro. He flipped a house he was so pissed off at Usopp, ready to destroy an entire village that he gets good money from (and which he needs to keep Nami around) but suddenly after his crew is hurt he's not in the mood for killing Usopp ASAP?!
Also, he was only in Nami's village because he saw Genzo had a weapon. He thought the village was going to rebel like the last one and he wanted to nip it in the bud and kill Genzo before it got to far. That was the only reason he was there and yet, after Usopp makes him absolutely furious he and Kurobi leave Genzo alive.
Flashback Arlong, who was barely held back by Fisher Tiger would never have left any of these humans alive. They were in his eyes disrespectful, not fearing him like he wants, and most did not give him money--the only benefit he sees to keeping humans around. Yet, he lets all of them live--maybe he has plans to kill them later, but again, past Arlong would kill them ASAP.
I know that the most likely reason for this is because Oda didn't have everything with Arlong and Jinbe's past in his brain at this point (there's ten years or more between these parts in the story). Not only that he can't have important people like Usopp and Zoro being killed off. He also seemed less willing to kill characters off in the start of the manga, which is why Genzo and Zoro's friends lived (killing Genzo would also have been way to mean to Nami).
But from an in character perspective you could see this as Arlong being affected by Fisher Tiger's words of not killing humans. No, he can't fully follow that rule, let alone Fisher Tiger's orders to not treat humans badly. Arlong has hated humans for far to long, and he was barely managing to restrain himself for Fisher Tiger despite respecting/caring for the man with his whole heart.
He can't not kill humans or treat them like crap--but he can come up with excuses that limit how many he kills. A 'well, if they pay me, they can live', or a 'they're to weak to kill so I won't', or 'I'll give this guy a warning for insulting me before I kill him'.
He lets his crew drag him away from Nami's village because he doesn't really want to destroy it (for monetary gain not kindness obviously). Kurobi doesn't kill Genzo because he wasn't told to so he lets him off, despite that being the only reason they came in the first place (despite defiantly knowing killing him wouldn't get him in trouble and is Arlong's intention). That gives Arlong time to calm down and by the time Usopp is caught he's more willing to take the time to ask him what he's doing there and then let Nami deal with him.
Part of it might also be Arlong knowing Jinbe will come kick his ass as soon as he finds out he's been killing/terrifying humans. He can bribe the Marines, but only to a point. If he was slaughtering every human that looked at him wrong or said something racist he'd be to much of a threat for higher-up the Marines to ignore. Eventually they'd tell Jinbe to deal with him and Jinbe would. Arlong would know that and given he was beaten easily by Jinbe he also knows he'd lose immediately (and either be killed or sent back to Impel Down).
Either way, he's showing some restraint even though he doesn't have someone like Fisher Tiger, or Jinbe directly telling him to. For whatever reason Arlong is way more willing to keep humans alive if he can come up with an excuse for it. Which I find kind of fascinating and adds some depth to his character that I don't think was necessarily intentional, but is the strength of the writing that Oda was able to add something years down the line that somehow didn't conflict with what's already established.

Hello! Can I request sniper reader?
As in, she can aim really well, and has a gun instead of a sword. So before the enemies know where she is, he shoots them and kills them, basically really strong.
Can the reader be against to Aizen even though Aizen wants her on his team? Maybe she can be the one who starts flirting with him first (Aka Dom) :"")?
Honestly I had a bit of trouble thinking of how to make this work. I'm not super used to writing for characters like that so I had my lovely friend @bird-brained-plague-doctor help me out! Thanks Birdie~ Also she/her will be used for reader though nothing major will be mentioned
You'd known Aizen since he was captain and like many others you looked up to his strength and kindness. You met mostly by chance, after all working for the stealth force meant you hardly worked alongside the other soul reapers. It was odd that someone like him would be wandering around the Rukan district for seemingly no reason. Yet that was also the start of something sweet. It became routine for him to meet you there, you'd sit down and enjoy tea together or just talk about anything and everything for hours. It was easy to see why so many liked him and it seemed like perhaps he liked you as well....oh how sadly right you were.
Aizen's betrayal, when you look back on it, should have been expected. He and Gin were clearly planning something though you'd never expect someone like Tosen would have been involved as well. The offer that came with Aizen leaving though was the most unexpected. " Come with me my dear and become my queen. Together we could rule over everyone." Hard to believe yeah but so easy to turn down. " Ha! As if I would join you. I was dumb enough to think you cared then let alone now. Next time we cross paths I'll make sure my shot doesn't miss." The smile on his face was impossible to miss but the fact that it made your heart skip a beat was something you could never let anyone know of.
The next time you saw Aizen was in the human world. Having been put there as another line of defense you'd hadn't expected to see him again so soon. Just like you promised up from your high vantage point you take aim. A few steady breaths and moments of focus before you pull the trigger. It's a perfect shot, aimed right between the eyes but without even blinking he's gone and the bullet lodged into the tree behind him. " Now now there's no need to be so feisty my dear markman. You should know better than that." Maybe it's because it had been so long since you heard his voice or maybe it's because you never got over him but the flutter in your stomach is just another reason to push him back. That was the day it began, yet another game of cat and mouse.
Though you had started as the mouse it doesn't last long after the first reunion
Aizen wants to play but he prefers dragging things out, that ends up working in your favor
After the first time it's easy to forget what you're meant to be doing that really you should be trying to kill him or at least telling your captain about things but you don't
This becomes your secret just a special thing only the two of you have and you fully intend to run the game
It starts small and simple maybe a compliment here and there as you "try to kill him" something he could brush off as you attempting to throw him off his game
It escalates from there as you close the distance from time to time with soft words and confidant flirtations this really starts to get to him
Aizan didn't think you'd be the one to make a move after all you rejected his offer so he'd assumed you'd being starting from square one again
Each reminder of how you see him, every compliant or pickup line digs under his skin until he can't ignore the way heart speeds up even Espada notice he seems flushed after meeting with you
Of course he's gonna fight back, he's going to try and make you just as embarrassed and head over heels for him but never back down
Don't stop flirting and leading this dance, keep him on his toes and watch him melt
One day you might even get him wrapped around your pinky, willing to bow down and worship you in his own messed up way
Thank you for reading! Lifes been pretty hectic so I'm glad I was able to get this out. With any luck I'll also post two things in October for you all. Anyway I hope you enjoyed my take on this. Have a good day or night!~ Lilly
