Sudden thought that came out of nowhere
If the Street Fighter 6 roster can text you
what's stopping them from making a group chat together
imagine the chaos that will inevitably ensue from having Ryu, Ken and (inevitably) Akuma in the same group chat
IMAGINE THE BLANKA-CHAN MEMES OR E.HONDA POSTING FOOD DAILY.
what if luke and jamie just trash-talked each other 24/7 through the chat-
eh its never gonna happen properly considering at least one character in the roster is a semi-retired Interpol agent and another one is a wanted criminal with zero dress code for shoes
whatever every fighting game from now on needs to have you text the playable roster as a side-mode i think if I could actually text with people the likes of Happy Chaos, Taokaka, Kukri and get sent memes back as responses I'd probably live in the best version of Earth

Street Fighter Commission: Island Buddies (Akuma/Reader Fic)
This is for @cosmicpink! Happy Birthday! I hope it's a good one 💕
You don't believe in curses or demons, so being told *that* island was bad news didn't really matter to you. Upon arriving there... you *still* don't understand what the fuss is about! Folks can sure be superstitious some times... The only thing here is your island buddy, and he's a-okay in your books!
Warnings: None. Just Fluff. Maybe Akuma is a little OOC but he's more fickle than a cat, okay!?
xxx
You had already made up your mind. Despite being told that this particular island that you had your eyes on was cursed, the home of some kind of demon or man-eating beast or… something or another- You didn’t really pay their warnings much mind. The island wasn’t off-limits for any reason other than the fact that local superstitions have declared it so. It was already evident that no person would assist you in going to that island, so you had to find your own way there! …even if you didn’t know how to pilot a boat you would figure it out, damn it!
No one has been there… maybe ever. You couldn’t find anything in the way of photographs or even a description of the island, other than something vague and embellished by countless tales of some kind of supernatural monster with a red mane that was supposedly its sole inhabitant. You had been craving something… different in your life as of late. An adventure of sorts! Something to reinvigorate your taste for life and to reignite the fires of your creative and artistic passions! What better way to do this other than going to a forbidden, supposedly cursed island no man has ever set foot on?!
You weren’t exactly disappointed when you reached the island… but you were kinda disappointed. It was untouched and beautiful, full of life and clean, crisp air… yet you supposed you were expecting something more… eye catching? Though… you have only just arrived. There’s an entire island to explore! With your camera in hand, you had no shortage of wonderful vistas to snap to snap photos of and you’re sure that you can find a nice stop to set up camp so you can break out your sketch pad and practice on creating some landscape portraits…
As you were exploring, you found a river, which you decided to follow for a while and while looking for a place to camp, you stumbled across a large, placid lake. It was breathtaking… You were a little lost in the moment, allowing your backpacks to drop from your shoulders as your eyes scanned across the horizon.
Wow… all this, untouched and likely never seen before… This is something special… You fumble with your camera, momentarily dragging your eyes away from the scene before you. Damn it-! The last thing you need to do is accidentally drop your camera and break it… or waterlog it… As you drag your gaze back towards the lake, something moves out of the corner of your eye.
“Huh…?”
You looked over your shoulder and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Hmm… Something red caught your eye… Or at least you think it was red. You turned around fully, flicking your eyes across the treeline and river’s shoreline. Nope. Nothing… You shrugged it off, thinking it could have been a bird or an insect or even another kind of animal. Maybe that was the so-called ‘red demon’ that you were warned about… You chuckled to yourself, the little apprehension that you felt suddenly melting away. A little red devil that scurried away the moment you turned to look.
“Hmm… maybe he’s shy…” You muttered under your breath as you smiled a little to yourself. Shaking your head and giggling, you turned back towards the lake and nearly swallowed your tongue as you came nose-to-chest with a large, burly man.
“GAH-?!”
You jumped back, nearly tripping on your own feet while squeaking and stuttering while the man just stood there, staring down at you without much expression on his face. After you regained control of your senses, your eyes searched the man, trying to gauge whether or not he was angry or upset at you. Were you trespassing? No one owns this… i-island…?
Your eyes were immediately drawn to his flaming red hair. So you did see him in the corner of your eye! He completely snuck around you… How could you miss him?! He’s massive! Though… if he had ill intent, he could have already hurt you or carried you off… or thrown you and your stuff into the lake but he didn’t! You awkwardly clear your throat, fiddling with your camera as the man still stands in place, unmoving, unwavering and still completely expressionless.
“U-Uh… hi?”
The man seemed to be observing you, not sizing you up as though you were a threat but still looking deeply into you as though trying to glean insight into you in some way. His posture never changed, nor did his stony expression, but as you were about to say something else (what you aren’t really sure of yourself) he suddenly spoke.
“What is your purpose here?”
His voice was flat and deep, not portraying much of anything in the way exactly what he was thinking. The question, itself, was surprising, though you weren’t exactly taken aback nor did you hesitate to answer his question.
“I wanted to see this place for myself… Why do you ask? What are you doing here? I heard this place was cursed- or haunted- or something else…” Your posture relaxed a little as the man still kept his neutral posture and facial expression. You could have imagined it… but for a fraction of a second, you could have sworn that his face twitched. It was subtle… but it was in his eyebrows and the corners of his mouth.
“You come to a place considered cursed… just to see it.” It’s not a question but a stated fact. You shrugged, gave him a what do you want from me kind of gesture with your arms and held up your camera.
“I wanted to take some pictures and sketch the landscape.”
The man fell silent, blinking at you. The corners of his mouth seemed to tug down a little.
“Soo… uh- do you live here? Or are you visiting like me?” You rocked on your heels, walking back towards the lake’s shore so you could take a photograph before you either forgot to do so or didn’t have the time to. You tried to give the guy some space, as it seemed like he was a little awkward or shy… He didn’t stop you as you walked until you were side-by-side with him.
“This is my home.” As the camera’s shutter clicks, you purse your lips and turn to face the red haired man.
“Really? I was told that nobody lives on this island! You’re really lucky… This place is beautiful! Though… aren’t you lonely here by yourself? Oh- are you alone here?” You looked up at him as he turned to face you fully, seeming genuinely taken aback. His eyebrows raised as he straightened his neck a little.
“There… is one one else here-” You hummed, rubbing your chin as you closed your eyes.
“Well… I guess we’re gonna be island buddies for a while! Hope you don’t mind- I’ll be as considerate as I can be and I won’t get in your way! …I’ll try not to get in your way…” You added under your breath as an afterthought.
You picked up the bags that you dropped, deciding to follow the river back a little to a small clearing that caught your eye earlier. The day was still young but you wanted to get your camp set up before it got too dark. And this guy seems like he’s not really used to interacting with others… though he seems pretty harmless. He was neither angry or even annoyed seeing that you were here, and you figure that- as long as you don’t intrude where he’s actually living- he’ll be just fine. Though…. You turned on your heel, a finger pointed in the air as you just remembered something.
You need to introduce yourself! You told him your name, since you are going to be here a while and it was the polite thing to do. The man’s frown was deep, but he didn’t really show or do anything else to show anything in the way of annoyance. You didn’t really expect him to give you his name, since he seemed to be so to himself, but to your surprise.
“...Akuma.” Ah-
He told you his name! You smiled broadly and gave him a small wave as you said-
“Okay then- See you around, Akuma!”
You clumsily jogged away, juggling all your bags while making sure you wouldn’t slip and fall onto the slightly moist, rocky ground. Akuma watched you go, tripping over your own feet as you went. It was almost- It was pathetic to watch… Yet he just let you go. You weren’t a fighter- not in any kind of capacity- and you didn’t seem to be the usual kind of people that try to twist and pervert the world around them for their own benefit… Hmph.
Fine. He’ll let you go about your business… for now. If you are wearing a mask, he will be able to see through it soon enough. No one enters the wild and keeps such an act up for long. Your true intentions will be evident soon enough.
On the first evening, you return to the lake, catching Akuma as he was fishing in the lake. It was a rather… unorthodox way to fish, as he was pretty much blowing up the water and making one hell of a loud noise… But to your surprise, it worked! You watched him from a distance as he gathered the fish in a net, smiling at him when he turned to face you.
“Neat trick! Guess it saves time, huh?” No answer. He merely shouldered the net and began to walk away.
“Got a fire? I’m about to make one at my-”
“No.”
You puffed up your cheeks and pouted. He didn’t even turn towards you to say it! Rude… You stuck your tongue out at him and said ‘fine’!
“...offer will still stand if you ever need it-”
You didn’t see it, since you had already turned to walk away, but Akuma actually stopped in his tracks. You made him stop and turn around to face you. He was only met with your back, but the lack of tension in your shoulders and your fingers’ relaxed grip on the strap of your backpack told him that you were unbothered by his presence and likely genuine with your offer. Only a fool would turn their back to a stranger, yet you did.
And you offered him your fire-
A few days later, after sporadic meetings, he ran into you again as you were taking photographs of some plants- flowers, to be exact. You immediately stop what you are doing to look up at him, smiling as you stand and talk to him as though he hasn’t hardly said a word to you in the time that you’ve met him. As you were speaking, you talked with your hands in an exaggerated fashion.
“-I mean- who does that, right?! People can be jerks!” You gently bump his arm with your elbow. The contact was brief, barely something Akuma should have even registered, yet…
He found himself suddenly crawling out of his skin. Akuma pulled away from you slightly, unable to control his heart for a fraction of a second. By the time that he had fully registered that touch, you had moved onto another topic, seemingly unaware that you had touched him in the first place.
…what was that?
The touch lingered long after you decided to part ways with him. It bothered him in a way that he’s unsure if he’s ever experienced before. It wasn’t painful, it wasn’t a jab, a means to get under his skin, not something malicious, though it was annoying… it wasn’t unpleasant, either. …he thinks-
Why are you talking to him? Why do you seek him out, asking him how he is doing, if he’s cold, hungry, whether or not he’s staying dry when it begins to rain… Akuma isn’t sure of the last time that he had a conversation with another person about anything other than killing them or being killed by them. It was strange… almost foreign to him, yet he allows you to prattle on while he goes about his business, giving nondescript, dry, nearly monosyllabic answers to all your questions, regardless of if those answers were appropriate for them or not. Yet you never seem to mind his lacking engagement in your conversations.
Again, you were blabbering away over something Akuma was barely paying attention to. It was over something about the modern world that got on your nerves- it got on his as well- as he was meditating on a nearby rock. You were standing close enough that, should he wish to, could reach out and touch you. …though he has no desire to do so. Akuma keeps his eyes closed, partially tuning out your incessant talking when suddenly-
“-and then the guy just goes an-NNND SHIT-!”
Your foot had slipped on the stone’s damp surface. The night’s rain hadn’t evaporated yet and still left a dewey sheen on most things around the island. Without saying a word, his large hand snatches the waist of your pants, steadying you and holding you in place before you could completely crumple in on yourself as you would (likely) fall and smash your face into the surrounding rocks.
You were in a little shock, terrified that you nearly slipped and cracked your head open and surprised that it was Akuma that had grabbed you before you fell and hurt yourself. The moment you regain your footing, he releases you, not having opened his eyes once nor really acknowledging what just happened and what he just did.
“You… probably just saved my life, huh?” Your voice trembled a little as your breath came in short huffs. Slowly, your racing heart calmed as did the blood that pounded in your ears. Akuma merely grunted, acknowledging you speaking but not the comment you just made. Still… you crouch down, resting on your haunches as you lean towards him.
“T-Thank you….” Your voice was barely above a whisper as you wrapped your short arms around his broad shoulders. His posture tensed for a moment, but then relaxed ever so slightly as you squeezed him tightly.
“Hmph-”
You really should be more careful… what would happen if he wasn’t around?! Akuma nearly felt sorry for you… You really are a hazard to yourself. Someone needs to keep an eye on you at all times, lest you do something stupid and get yourself hurt…

Akuma’s theme is out and it is SO good. In my opinion, both JP and Akuma’s themes sound like boss music and I am here for it.

Ok but can we talk about him
Tumblr media
Look at this
He looks like he's gone feral
Tumblr media
They've blended his SF5 and SF3 hair to make him look like a fuccin BEAST
Tumblr media
The arms
The arms
He looks like he's ready to punch the moon in half again without Asura's help
Tumblr media
He also seemingly slaughtered half a forest and lost his shoes on the way
He better be insane
Just give him all the moves
All his Supers
Let the Demon be a good move again

I am super excited for Akuma to be added in SF6 he looks so different to past appearances so personally I'm hoping there's substantial changes to his usual role as "glass cannon shoto" not that I'd he perticularly disappointed if he hadn't changed from that position, but I'd like to see what does the more mature version of akuma do how much further has he developed over his many years as a fighter and walker of a darkened path.
The anticipation kills me

No Rules Inktober, Day 15 Fan Art: Akuma
Had another art block with this one. I couldn't draw the pose i had in mind so i went for something more simple like him tying his rope bands around his hands

RIP Avatar’s jaw. In other news, I am hyped for Akuma in World Tour. Literally gonna be the only time I will spend more time on that game mode. After that, the only modes I’m touching are Fighting Ground and maybe Battle Hub.
