Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Baby…” Joshua mumbled happily, stumbling through the front door, Jihoon barely able to keep him steady on his feet. He had obviously drunk… a lot. His cheeks were stained cutely pink from the alcohol and his speech was slurred, but you just found it endearing.
You weren’t sure whether it was Jihoon who had pushed Joshua, or if your boyfriend had launched onto you of his own accord, but you found yourself barely able to support his weight as he clung to you.
“I-I’ll take care of him. Thank you, Jihoon!” You called out quickly as the shorter man closed your front door to go back home himself.
“Y/n.” Joshua giggled, his face buried in the crook of your neck, smelling the floral scent of your perfume.
“Come on, you big baby, you need to sit down-” Joshua whined in protest despite the fact that he couldn’t even support his own body weight. He didn’t want to leave your arms for even a second. They were so comfortable to him.
“Shua.” You said helplessly, feeling your arms start to give out trying to hold him up on his two unstable feet. You tried your best to move his arm so it draped over your shoulder, a position which allowed you to half carry half drag him to the nearby couch. You pushed him on it as best as you could, cursing him for working out so much and putting on extra weight. He was heavy even though he didn’t look that buff.
Now that he was safely on the couch, your next thought was to get him some water… if he wasn’t still clinging onto you like you would get dusted by Thanos. You sighed, looking over him, his hand tightly grasping the fabric of your shirt, making sure you didn’t move any more than 2 feet from him. He was very cute, but he got so clingy when drunk.
“Joshua, I need to get you water.” You tried, attempting to remove his hand and escape.
“Don’t want water… jus’ want you.” He whispered, lips curling up in a lopsided smile.
“It’ll only take a minute. I promise I’ll be right back. I’m not gonna leave you.” You assured him, your words successfully allowing you to loosen his tight grip on you. He whined softly, hand trying to clasp onto yours and hold you still, but you ignored his pleas and ducked down, jogging to the kitchen.
You could hear Joshua whining the entire 30 seconds you were gone which made you laugh. Was he really the 27 year old man you were dating or a 2 year old? You quickly made your way back to him, placing the water on the table, allowing him to pull you into his lap.
“How much did you drink?” You asked, knowing you probably wouldn’t get a straight answer out of him until he sobered up a bit. You sat patiently in his lap, his head resting on your shoulder, fingers playing with the beaded bracelet that he had made you, smiling and mumbling about you must really love him cause you never took it off. You just nodded, giving him little affirmative responses every few sentences.
You had enough experience dating him to know that he sobered up fairly quickly. After drinking the water and cuddling with you, he seemed to have stopped whining, indicating he was feeling a little more clear headed and more capable of forming logical sentences.
“Even if I gave you a ring, you wouldn’t take off the bracelet, right?” He asked softly, still fixated on the bracelet.
“What kind of ring?”
“Like… a proposal ring.” He sounded cutely drowsy.
You thought over his question, wondering why he was suddenly bringing up a proposal. “Nothing could replace the bracelet.” You mumbled. He had made the bracelet as a gift for one of your first dates and it was probably the most precious thing you owned.
“Do you love me?” He whispered.
You giggled and turned your head to look at him. He blinked at you, waiting for your response. “Nope. I only love sober Joshua. Sorry.” You teased.
“You’re so mean.”
“I know.”
“I really… really love you.” He dragged out, talking as if he was explaining something incredibly complicated. And then he pouted, hands still on your waist, pulling you a little closer. You smiled, and leaned just a bit closer to his face, pressing your lips to his pout, making sure he knew that you didn’t really mean it.

☆ JOSHUA BOYFRIEND HABITS

pairing: joshua x reader
genre: headcannons, fluff, established relationship?

Tumblr media
☆ passes his fingers through your hair to smoothen it down
the first time joshua saw you, your friend had just pulled a beanie off your head, leaving behind messy and unruly hair. it made joshua laugh and he thought your reaction was cute. after you two started dating, his gaze would often linger on your hair, the messy look endearing him more than anything. when you would notice him staring, you would immediately smoothen your hair down, groaning in annoyance while joshua only laughed at your hurried movements. it’s not that he liked seeing you irritated, he just didn’t understand why you had to be so aggressive with yourself. so everytime you aggressively tugged at your hair, your boyfriend would pull your hands away and pass his fingers through your hair to smoothen it down with gentle strokes, a satisfied smile on his face.
☆ always makes sure your seatbelt is put on right
joshua is and has always been very careful of the people he loves. and that includes you. he knows he can’t always make sure you’re safe since you’re not always together and life is unpredictable but he can still try to do so when you are indeed together. his actions speak for themselves and you know he would always look out for you. when you first got your driving license, you were quite scared and thus, would forget the most important things like putting on your seatbelt. that was very irresponsible and you’ve learned to do better over the years. you don’t ever forget your seatbelt anymore but joshua still prefers to check every time, just in case. and sometimes, checking your seatbelt turns into him putting it on before you can, hovering over your body and smirking at the click.
☆ always holds and opens doors for you
joshua is a gentleman, that’s an obvious and well known fact. he’s polite, respectful and always kind. he’s so gentlemanly that it’s even become his nickname, now often being called as the group’s gentleman. joshua takes great pride in that. as his partner, you’ve been the number one receiver of his chivalrous habits and personality. on your first official date (after a few weeks of courting), he picked you up from your work with a bouquet of your favorite flowers. when he met your parents, he charmed them by doing the dishes and by bringing a box of macarons. it’s actually pretty easy to gain a liking for joshua when he never forgets to hold and open doors for you. it’s like an instinct to him, as if you weren’t even allowed to open the door for yourself. it’s sweet and the numerous envious stares you’ve received from bystanders tells you everything you need to know.
☆ has a hand on your waist to direct you when you're walking
you’re known to be quite clumsy. the type to bump into a glass door while reading a message on their phone, the type to let the sink overflow after zoning out, the type to break your heel in a pothole while being busy ranting to your friends. something else you’re known for is being unable to walk straight and do something else. you can’t even take a look at your friend walking next to you without wandering for the life of you. joshua directly noticed that about you and so now, every time he can, he would keep a hand on your waist (with your consent). having his hand on your waist isn’t only to show everyone you’re his, it’s also so that joshua can make sure you don’t wander off, to keep you on the right track as you’re now walking in a straight line, thanks to his help.

You let out an exhausted sigh in the living room of the Airbnb you were sharing with a few friends. They had been talking amongst themselves about what to do that night for the past ten minutes, no one coming up with anything good. “Look, why don’t we ask the host what they suggest?” you interjected, “They are a local, obviously, so I’m sure they know what the happenings around here are.”
All conversation stopped, and your three friends looked at you like you were a genius. You fought the urge to roll your eyes. You loved your friends, but most of them were not the sharpest tools in the shed. You nearly told Emma no when she asked you to come on a trip to Ireland with your two other friends, and you weren’t so sure you made the correct decision by saying yes.
But here you were in the beautiful country of Ireland, in an adorable little Airbnb in the town of Tullamore. It was located on the Grand Canal, giving you lovely views of the water, and was a short walking distance from the town center, where you guys had eaten dinner the night before after checking in. The surrounding area was lush and green, and all the buildings were old and castle-like.
“Why are you so smart, Y/N? We should ask Nora what she recommends,” Emma said, mentioning the name of your Airbnb host who lived in the cottage next door. As if she sensed she was being talked about, you heard a knock on the door, and Mark opened it to reveal the older host.
“Hi, kids. I just brought some more towels over in case you needed them,” Nora said, coming into the cottage and offloading the pile of towels in her arms on the table.
“Thank you, Nora. Can we ask you if any unique things are happening around town right now?” You asked her.
“Of course! You guys are here at a good time, actually. Due to the summer solstice, there are many festivals during this time of the year, and most of them take place tomorrow, May 1st! The biggest one is the Festival of Fires that happens in Uisneach, which is about half an hour from here.” Nora explained, excitedly giving you the information.
"Oh, that sounds cool!" Emma exclaimed, bouncing a little bit on the couch next to you.
"But be careful. The veil between the human world and the fae world becomes much thinner during such celebrations," Nora said with a wink as she turned around and walked out the door, leaving your group confused and intrigued.
"We should definitely go," Emma declared, grinning as she looked at you and Chris, who are the most reserved among the four of you.
"Yeah, let's go," Mark said in his persuasive voice.
“Fine. We’ll go,” you relented. You acted like you didn’t want to go, but in truth, you were interested. Now that you were here, you wanted to experience something unique.
However, that still meant none of you had figured out what to do in the present evening. Maybe you would just end up in bed early, curled up with a good book.
Tumblr media
The next evening, you found yourself on a train to Uisneach. After doing a bit of research, you found there was a train that would take you to and from the festival. It was quite a big affair for this part of town, and they had made transportation easy for those going to the celebration.
You sat in one of the seats next to Chris who was reading a book, while Emma and Mark sat across the aisle. You watched the lush hills go by out the window as the train climbed higher in elevation to the place where the festival was being held, silently thanking Emma for dragging you here. You would never admit it to her out loud, but you were glad to experience the scenery of a beautiful country.
Half an hour later, the sun was going down and the train had finished its climb to the Hill of Uisneach. The air felt different as soon as you stepped out of the train. You could hear the hum of many people talking and feel the overall excitement of a festival. You and your friends followed the crowd up a path to the peak of the hill where a very large bonfire had been started.
Tumblr media
Your head felt fuzzy, but you couldn’t tell if you were drunk from the multiple beers you’d had or if it was from something else entirely. Your body felt too warm as you sat in the heat of the large bonfire, and you got up from where you were sitting to cool off. “Where are you going?” Emma slurred.
“Just over here to get more air,” you responded, wandering to a wooded area not far from the bonfire and all the people. As you grew closer to the trees, you breathed in the scent of moss and pine. You felt as if you were being drawn to the area, and as a breeze blew past, you could have sworn you heard your name being called from just beyond the edge of the woods.
You continued to walk into the thicket of trees, following your name on the wind, when you suddenly came upon a clearing in the center. Strips of slivery moonlight that shone through branches lit up the clearing, revealing a small stream that ran through the woods, and you were surprised to see fireflies. You were positive Ireland didn’t have fireflies, so what were they? You reached out your hand to touch one, only for it to disappear like a flicker of light. More appeared in front of you and you felt the need to follow where they took you.
As you grew closer to the stream, you saw the outline of a man. He turned to look at you and you swore your heart stopped. His honey eyes seemed to pierce your soul as they gazed at you beneath dark brown bangs. His skin shimmered in the moonlight, and his lashes seemed to shine like they were crusted in tiny diamonds. And finally, two glittery, gauzy green wings peeked out from behind him. You had never seen anyone or anything so beautiful.
“You heard my call,” He finally spoke as he walked toward you, and his voice sounded like a whole melody.
“You-you knew my name?” you stuttered.
“Of course, I find out the names of those I want,” the fairy responded, stopping in front of you as he brushed his fingers lightly against your cheek. Your breath was stolen from your lungs at his touch and you felt the only way to get it back was to kiss him. Before you could even fathom stopping yourself, you leaned forward and pressed your lips against his. Any thoughts of running were completely erased from your mind. He tasted sweet, making you feel intoxicated, and you knew it wasn’t the beer’s doing.
You continued kissing him, feeling like you couldn’t get enough of him. Eventually, he had pulled away long enough to lay you down on a soft patch of moss nearby. It was soft and spongey, like a comfortable bed, not at all slimy or damp like you expected it to be. The man hovered over you with a gentle smile, his wings engulfing the two of you. He knew your name, but did you get to know his?
He smiled again, this time more cheekily as if he had an idea of your thoughts. Perhaps he did because he said, “Joshua. My name is Joshua,” and then leaned back down to place small pecks along your jaw and neck. You sighed. You never felt anything so heavenly. His small pecks morphed into open-mouthed kisses, sucking the sensitive spot at the base of your throat, and your sighs turned into moans.
Your eyes fluttered shut in pleasure, the image of him above you remaining behind your closed eyelids. You were about to tell him that if he continued like this, you were going to need him more when everything went blank.
The next thing you knew, you were waking up in your bed back at the Airbnb. You opened your eyes, assaulted with the morning light. Was everything that happened a dream? Was Joshua a dream? You brushed your fingers over the spots on your neck that he had kissed, and you swore you could still feel his lips. Before you could continue questioning what had happened, Emma burst into the room.
“Oh good, you are awake,” she said, crossing her arms in front of her as she approached the bed.
“Um, good morning to you too. What the heck happened last night?” You questioned, unsure of anything at this point.
“That’s what I was about to ask you! One minute, you had wandered into the woods, and the next, you had completely disappeared. We spent so much time looking for you, and when I decided to call the police after we got back, you were here. Asleep!” she ranted. You sat there trying to recall what happened after everything went blank when something on your bed caught your eye: a green feather. Joshua’s wing feather. You picked it up and twirled it between your fingers, the sun coming in from the window making it shine.
“I think I met a fairy,” you said with a light grin. You hoped you’d get a chance to see Joshua again when the threshold between worlds thinned once more.

Falling For U pt. 1
After seven months of dating and three months of being his caregiver, you’d finally found a good groove together. Jeonghan always seemed to be on the edge of regressing when he was comfy, sleepy or clingy which was most times.
It used to be a little overwhelming but you’d notice how regressing frequently helped him stay in control, even typically staying a happy medium age of around 6 years old. He never had to stray far from that. But it also depended on who he was with and his needs. Recording during a demanding Going Seventeen episode wasn’t always a good environment to let it out. Especially when GoSe was on the road, taking them to Jeju for the next two episodes.
Thankfully Jeonghan had talked you into coming along this time, saying he’d put you in his suitcase if he had to. It hadn’t taken much convincing, you were sure you’d get to enjoy the island just a little, even if it was for work.
An hour flight and a fifteen- minute car ride later and the two of you were checked into your hotel room with plans to have dinner with the guys once you’d settled in. Some drinking and babysitting would be involved, no doubt. Jeonghan had taken the chance to nap of course even though the flight had been short. Very on character, he’d probably fall asleep again if given the chance.
Still waking up, he hauled his suitcase onto the king sized bed in the suite, taking a moment to glance around as he tucked his hair behind his ears. It wasn’t the nicest suite he’d stayed in but it was still fairly good. It was two connected rooms. One with a large flat screen, a small table with two chairs, a sofa with a coffee table and stands to match. The other was the bedroom, the mattress seemed pretty comfortable from what he could feel with his hands and the closet space average, another tv mounted on the wall opposite the bed. Luckily there weren’t too many mirrors outside of the bathroom so he’d already spotted the perfect place to do a live for Carats later on the trip.
Unzipping his personal suitcase he decided to get some things set out in case he came home drunk later on. While moving stuff around and setting them on the cream-white comforter, he happened to notice something was absent. Deciding not to think too much of it, he swapped out his hoodie for an oversized t-shirt and jacket for dinner. When you finally came out of the bathroom and began to do the same as him he glanced over at the contents of your suitcase and again did not find what he was looking for.
“Babe? Did you pack Shuji in my clothes?”, he commented as nonchalantly as he could, as if it didn’t set a spark to his nerves, setting his suitcase in the closet area to worry about later. Rubbing his hands on his pants as they began to sweat, he looked at you, hoping you had the answer. He’d never traveled without it since Joshua gave it to him, even if he didn’t plan on regressing.
“Hm? Oh. No-”, you thought for a moment trying to remember your packing process. The day you’d packed, only a week ago, Jeonghan had had a particularly exhausting day and you’d decided to help him regress, spending the evening snuggling and putting together a Lego set,”- you didn’t pack him?”
Quickly you realized the mistake both of you had made. The bunny plush Jeonghan had grown so attached to sat at home in the center of your bed. He hadn’t always been a plushy man, but Joshua, his first caregiver before you came along, was the first to notice Jeonghan’s habit of keeping something with him, usually spoons for comfort, to feel more secure. The plushy friend, named after Joshua, became something Jeonghan couldn’t travel without. Most times it would sit at home, sometimes finding it’s place in his arms when he slept, but when he had a show or especially when he traveled, little bunny Joshuji was the first thing in his suitcase. A grown man getting anxious over such a thing, Jeonghan was already beating himself up.
“Hold on. Let me check.”, you closed your own suitcase and went to the door to lug his other suitcase to the bed, only to find it filled with clothes as you worried it would be. When you looked up again, you found his anxiety reflected clearly on the outside as he stood tense, fists balled tightly at his sides, any emotion absent from his face as he swallowed loudly, trying to stay in control.
“Jeonghan?”, you crossed the room, your fingers smoothing over the fabric of his jacket, straightening it, just a bit of comfort as you searched his face. But that little bit of comfort, your touch made his lip quiver and his nose twitch as he tried to fight off his tears.
“Need something…”, he jerked away from you, frantically closing his eyes, his hands clenching at nothing.
“What? What do you need?”, you stepped back, surprised that he wanted space instead of being his usually cuddly self and melting into your touch as he usually did. Instead his breath quickened and he wiped his hands anxiously against his pants, grabbing at the fabric. He only acted like this on the rare occasion he needed to fight off his regression. Jeonghan wasn’t the type to regress involuntarily but that didn’t mean it hadn’t happened once or twice when he was stressed out of his mind.
“Dunno.. something? Spoon?”, his eyes shut tighter for a moment, fluttering as he took a step back, then two until he met that wall, pressing his palms to the cold, smooth texture. But it wouldn’t be so easy to go back to spoons or chopsticks after having his bunny.
”Joshuji. Want my bunny.”
Tears slipped from his pretty, tired eyes as sweet short sobs left his pretty lips before you could even try to look for a spoon or something to ground him.
“Baby… aw. You’re so stressed aren’t you sweetie.”, you sighed, cautiously reaching to pull his head to rest on your shoulder, which he gave into tensely but no longer resisted your comfort. It wasn’t often something that seemed so small would make him regress.
“W-what am I gonna d-do?”, he stuttered, his hands quickly clinging tightly to your shirt, his tear streaked face snuggled into your shoulder. Jeonghan relied heavily on the stability of something like his bunny when the world around him was so out of his control. The relief that he could come home and recharge or carry is with him, it would always be there. You couldn’t help but feel at fault for forgetting something so important.
“Hannie, it’s okay. Hey, look. We can go out first thing tomorrow and get a new plushy friend and surprise your bunny Joshuji? Hm?”, curling his long dark hair around your fingers in a gentle, repeated motion, you soothed him and allowed him to cry his heart out, in between accepting and not accepting the fact that he couldn’t have his bunny now or for the rest of the trip.
Walking him to the bed, sitting him next to you and removing his jacket, you kept his head on your shoulder. Though his tears began to slow, his eyes, nose and lips were already red and puffy.
“I’m so sorry, baby. Mommy forgot to pack him.”, you whispered with a heavy heart.
“We get Shuji a friend?”, he asked sadly with a little nod between wet sniffles, looking at the floor while playing with the hem of your shirt.
“Of course. I promise, angel.”
Going out with the guys obviously wasn’t an option anymore, Jeonghan had exhausted himself within less than an hour after arriving at the hotel. Sad Hannie was a needy Hannie. Especially when he was sleepy as he was getting, luring you to the head of the bed to lay in your arms and tiredly miss his little plushy friend.
“Cheol?”, you asked, the background rather noisy but that wasn’t out of the norm.
“No, it’s Chaann~”
You didn’t ask why he had Seungcheol’s phone, Hannie pouting up at you to make the phone call quick so it could be the two of you again.
“Jeonghan isn’t feeling well so we’re not coming out tonight. Let Cheol know. And don’t let anyone drink to the point where they can’t walk tonight because I’m not coming to save you.”, chewing the inside of your cheek waiting for the noise and laughter on the other end to turn into words.
“Yea, got it y/n! You and Jeonghan Hyung have fuun!”, you could almost hear the wiggle in his eyebrows. With a roll of your eyes you hung up and sighed, your little one snuggling closer again and becoming fluid against your body.
As you eyed the room, seeing if the television remote was within reach, Hannie drifted off on your chest, peacefully suckling the tip of his thumb. A distant knocking at the door, alerted you and made your little one squirm a little when he was so close to sleep. You’d put the ‘do not disturb’ sign out when you’d entered the room so it couldn’t have been room service. Pressing your lips together firmly, you looked down at your baby with his eyes closed, eyebrows wrinkling together at the noise before relaxing again as he fell a little deeper, his dreams just in reach.
Another knock assured that whoever was interrupting your exhausted Hannie’s sleep was not going away.
“Mommy’s gotta get up, angel. Go ahead and sleep. I’ll be right back, I promise.”, you tried to shimmy out of his hold but there was no way he was going to let you escape his hold without a fuss.
“Noo…”, he whined, sitting up with you, rubbing his eye with a pout. Sighing, you stood from the bed and held out your arms. If he was small enough for you to carry him around, he’d have crawled into your embrace easily. But instead he has to crawl out of bed, clinging to you as you brought him with you to answer the door.
Joshua turned back to the door as it opened, hanging up the call just as your phone began to ring.
“Sorry.”, he gave a short laugh, observing the waddling, sleepy baby that clung to your shirt that lifted a hand to rub the sleepy from his eye.
“Hey, buddy! Did uncle Shua wake you??”, Joshua spoke softly as he stepped through the door, closing it behind him and lowering his posture a bit to get a good look at the pouty angel’s face with a smile.
Not all of his members knew about Jeonghan’s regression, but Joshua was one of the trusted few that had filled in as his caregivers before you’d met.
“Nuh-uh”, Hannie gave Joshua a confused look before shaking his head sleepily. Though, Joshua definitely had.
Needing to de-stress after Hannie’s little breakdown, you were a little relieved Joshua showed up when he did.
Seeing his little guy with puffy, red eyes, Joshua could already tell you needed a break and a little help even if it meant he was on babysitting duty, time together with his Hannie wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Putting his phone in his pocket and kicking off his shoes, he pat Hannie’s head and took his hand and walked him to the sofa, sitting down with the little one in front of him who had followed without question. Well, maybe a little question but he had the real life Shua right in front of him, the perfect replacement for his bunny would be the real thing wouldn’t it? He certainly wasn’t gonna fuss about that.
“It’s been a while since we got a good snuggle in, hasn’t it, bubs?”, he gave Hannie a meaningful look, his soft Bambi eyes shifting to you, gesturing that he could take it from there.
Crawling into his lap, sleepily, Hannie snuggled against Joshua’s shoulder contently, caring little about whatever show that had been put on to soothe him now that he had the attention of his Joshuji.
Seeing Hannie so comfortable with Joshua as circles were rubbed on his back, you relaxed, slipping on your shoes and grabbing your jacket to venture out and scavenge dinner for the three of you since no one would be going out tonight.
When you finally returned, settling on Kimchi jjigae since spaghetti didn’t seem to be something you could quickly find in the area, you let yourself into the room as silently as possible, Joshua sat with Hannie in his arms, stroking the hair from his face and admiring him lovingly. It was picturesque, the two of them together.
“You’re really a natural. You cared for him a lot before, didn’t you?”, you smiled softly, hanging your coat and setting the takeout on the glass tabletop.
“A few of the guys, Cheolie, Dokyeom, and Myungho mainly helped out when the opportunity came up, but yea. It was mainly me and him for the past few years. Siince he first started regressing, really..”, he nodded, trailing off. The air was heavy with emotion; a shared appreciation of the other, your guilt and his regret. Moments passed before he continued, your fingers walking over the cool glass of the table, glancing away when your eyes lingered too long.
“I’m grateful he has you but I do miss this.”, the corner of his mouth curved up, contented to be able to have this bonding with his little one again, even temporarily.
Hannie whimpered, stirring from his sleep to find his arms empty of his plushie, making Joshua’s instincts take over. His effortless aptitude, caring and passion for Hannie was decidedly his most attractive feature.
“Hey, hey. I’m here. I’ve got you. I’m right here…”, he stroked Hannie’s cheek, making sure his pretty dark hair was out of his eyes so he could see clearly that Joshua was right in front of him. How quickly your angel seemed to settle left you in awe.
“Daddy here..?”, Hannie nodded, sniffling in his half awake state as Joshua cooed, calming him further. It had been a long time since his Daddy had been there to comfort him, he couldn’t help but need reassurance.
“Yes, little one-“, Joshua sent you a pained look of apology, he had nothing but pure respect and admiration for you but Hannie’s headspace came first, especially when he regressed this young, “- Daddy’s right here, angel.”
Hearing that, Hannie relaxed, his arms folded into his chest as he curled again his Daddy, until he realized something was missing, someone was missing.
“What’s going on, buddy?”, Joshua cooed as Hannie’s eyes fluttered open, but he was already lifting his head and looking around for what was missing.
“Mommy??”, anxiously, his eyes darted from the door, around the room until he found you seated at the table. In all honestly, you couldn’t help but have felt left out of their bond, but the way he searched for you, he needed you, it soothed the ache in your heart and brought a smile to your lips.
“I’m here, sweetie.”, you assured him.
Shifting in Joshua’s lap to face you, he made sleepy grabby hands. Standing from your chair, you came forward to take his hand but he frowned, tugging at it a little.
“What is it, baby?”, you asked, but Joshua grinned, knowing exactly what the needy baby wanted.
“You wanna cuddle with both Mommy and Daddy, angel?”, he questioned, looking up at you.
Hannie made a little noise of agreement which you pondered over. You felt a bit shy and anxious yourself in this situation, Joshua being his first caregiver. It wasn’t that you were uncomfortable but you weren’t sure you had the heart to take this from them. It’d had to have been months since they’d been able to have time together like this. Daddy and Hannie time.
“How about, we fill little hannies tummy and then Mommy and Daddy can cuddle you until you’re sick of us?”, Joshua took the lead, helping a giggling Hannie sit up who was elated at the thought of having his two favorite people all to himself.
“Momma got stwawbie milk??”, he asked hopefully, lifting his head to search the contents of the table to see the familiar little carton.
“Yes baby. But only one with dinner so it doesn’t hurt your little tummy”, you laughed, standing to set out places for the three of you.
Heaving Hannie up in his arms, Joshua lifted him from the couch easily, carrying a squealing little boy to the table, giggling and laughing.
“Yea, no extra sugar for you, little man. You’re getting heavy.”, Joshua teased. Of course he wasn’t, but teasing was one of their love languages. Part of you wished you could carry your baby like that, so easily Joshua was able to make him feel small in every way he deserved.
Joshua looked to you, asking with his eyes if you wanna take him but it was refreshing to see the two of them like this. So a quick smile and Joshua was setting Hannie in his lap and feeding him every other bite as you all ate dinner together.
Just after they’d finished, Joshua’s phone rang, Cheol calling to check up on them. With a gentle pat on Hannie’s head, he left the bedtime bath to you.
Once the tub was filled with bubbles and Hannie settled in the warm water, playing with the travel sized soaps like little dolls, he asked you and interesting question.
“Mommy like Daddy?”, he asked, walking the tiny bottles across the edge of the tub, mumble singing a made up tune.
Thinking on it for a moment, you remembered how Joshua had introduced himself as ‘Uncle’. Joshua truly was a gentleman, taking a step back to respect your relationship and distancing himself. But that wouldn’t work with your stubborn baby boy at all.
“Yea of course!”, you weren’t exactly sure what he’d meant but Joshua was easy to be around, and two caregivers would always be better than one when their bond was as close as it was, “Do you like Daddy being around more??”
“Lub Daddy and Mommy. Want mommy and daddy to hab lub too.”, he rested his head, squishing his cheek on the edge of the tub.
“So cute.”, you pinched his other cheek and brushed it off as the innocent ramblings of a three year old. But your little matchmaker deserved a little more credit than that.
While you dressed Hannie, pulling his shirt down and over his head, Joshua walked into the bathroom as if it was the most natural thing in the world, taking the towel from the sink and playfully ruffling over Hannie’s damp hair.
“Let’s get you all dry, bubs.”, Joshua teased, peaking under the towel at Hannie’s giggling face, punching at his smiley, glowing cheeks.
“But ‘m already dry, Daddy!”, while his body was dry, Hannie always forgot they still needed to dry his hair.
“Oh are you? Huh, then maybe Mommy needs to dry off?”, Joshua asked, grinning as he threw the towel over your head.
Huffing, it took all your power not to laugh as you threw it back at Joshua who only gave you an impish bunny smile, sharing the moment with you before it was back to business..
“Alright, we gotta dry your hair for real this time, okay? Come here.”, swiftly, Joshua extended the corded hair dryer from the wall and called Hannie to sit on the floor between his legs and Joshua sat against the wall. It’d be pointless to stand, the warmth was sure to have Hannie dozing off in no time.
Getting ready for bed yourself, you watched Joshua with nothing but patience, expertly dry your little angel’s hair as he all but fell asleep in his lap. Ignoring the flutter in your heart for the upteemth time seemed to be redundant. Having Joshua around was comforting, you were sure you could speak for both you and your little one. It was a talk for big Hannie, but for now, this was okay.
The moment the hair dryer was switched off, Hannie opened his eyes and frowned at the loss of the warmth, opting to turn into Joshua’s arms. That was okay with Josh, he’d planned to carry him to bed anyways. Tucking Hannie into bed, you crawled in next to him. Joshua lay on his side over the covers, running his fingers through Hannie’s hair and staring between the two of you purposefully through the stillness as he planned his goodnight and goodbye.
“I should get going, angel…”, he spoke regretfully, slow blinks eyes his eyes looked for yours.
You could only tell who he was speaking to because of the nickname he’d added, his gaze constantly shifting between the two of you.
“Joshuji!”, Hannie huffed in defiance, holding on to Joshua’s shirt, tugging on it grumpily.
“What is it?”, Joshua laughed, sighing as he sunk back into the bed. You hadn’t told Josh about forgetting Hannie’s bunny at home, he could have easily thought Hannie was just talking to him.
“Mommy forgot his bunny at home. Looks like you have to stand in as a replacement.”, you giggled, earning a sleepy, amused twinkle from your little one as he agreed. Thinking for a moment Joshua rolled to turn off the lamp on his side of the bed, a smaller lamp still giving a dark glow to the room.
“Is this okay, bubs?”, he asked about the light, most of the time Hannie had a hard time sleeping if it wasn’t completely dark.
“Daddy stay?”, Hannie asked, rolling to face him, his hands searching for Joshua’s, playing with his welcoming fingers.
“Okay.”
After an emotional evening, Hannie was finally out like a light with you drifting off beside him. But Joshua wasn’t quite there yet. It really has been a long time since he’d felt something like this. Or even allowed to feel something like this. Jeonghan in front of him, his little one again in his arms, so easily slipping back into his heart and bringing someone along with him. He wasn’t sure when a strand of your hair had fallen over your face, but on impulse, his fingertips were already there, brushing it back and waking you in the process.
“I’m sorry.”, he whispered with a wince, sending you a thoughtful smile, a blush one could only feel, radiating from his face in the darkness.
“Shhh!”, you suppressed a giggle, doing your best not to wake Hannie who was deep in a much deserved slumber, though your heart was having other ideas, thudding, booming louder than a thunderstorm.
Those soft Bambi eyes again locked with yours as the two of you lay blissfully with your head against the fluffy hotel pillows. You weren’t sure who fell asleep first but his warm, adoring gaze was the last thing on your mind when your eyes closed for the last time that evening.

THE CLASS PRESIDENT’S SECRET PART 2

🎀 Summary 🎀 : After discovering Joshua's secret stash of information on classmates in a hidden library room, you face mounting threats and surveillance as he seeks to maintain his control and protect his secrets.

The threat in Joshua's voice was impossible to ignore. As you walked away from him in the crowded hallway, his words echoed in your head: "We wouldn't want any misunderstandings." It felt as if the walls themselves were conspiring against you. The chatter of your fellow students and the slamming of locker doors only served to amplify the sense of unease. You knew too much, and Joshua knew that you knew.
You kept your head down, trying to blend into the background as you made your way through the school day. You couldn't shake the feeling that eyes were on you, watching, assessing. Every corner you turned, you expected Joshua to be there, his unnerving smile masking the intensity of his scrutiny. It felt like the entire school was his stage, and he was pulling the strings.
At lunch, you sat with Sarah, who seemed to understand the weight of the situation. "Joshua's not someone you mess with," she said, her voice low as she picked at her food. "He's got people everywhere. You never know who's watching or listening."
"I didn't mean to get into this," you replied, trying to keep your voice steady. "I was just curious. But now..." You trailed off, not wanting to say too much in public.
Sarah nodded. "I get it. But if you're not careful, you could end up in a lot of trouble. Joshua doesn't like it when people step out of line."
As you glanced around the cafeteria, you noticed how Joshua seemed to glide from table to table, talking to different groups of students. He was laughing, shaking hands, and exchanging inside jokes. But behind that charming facade, you knew he was keeping track of everyone and everything. It was like he had a mental map of the school and could navigate it effortlessly.
After lunch, you went to your locker, trying to decide your next move. You couldn't just forget what you'd seen in that secret room, but you also couldn't risk drawing more attention to yourself. As you opened your locker, you found a small note tucked inside. It was a simple piece of paper with a single word: "Careful."
Your heart skipped a beat as you looked around. Who had put the note there? Was it a warning from Joshua or someone else? Either way, it was clear that you were being watched. You quickly stuffed the note into your pocket and closed your locker, pretending like nothing had happened.
As the school day came to an end, you decided to return to the library. You needed to understand what Joshua was hiding and why he had those dossiers on his classmates. But you knew you couldn't just walk into the secret room without being seen. You'd have to be smart about it.
You waited until the library was nearly empty, then slipped through the rows of books, keeping an eye out for anyone who might be watching. When you reached the small door leading to the hidden room, you paused, listening for any sounds. It was quiet, too quiet. You pushed the door open just enough to peer inside. The room was dark, but you could make out the outlines of the papers and documents you'd seen before.
Taking a deep breath, you stepped inside, careful not to make any noise. The room felt colder than before, and the dim lighting made it difficult to see clearly. You moved to the table where you'd found the list of names, hoping to find more clues. As you shuffled through the papers, you discovered a hidden compartment in the table. Inside was a small box, locked with a key.
Before you could examine it further, you heard footsteps approaching the library. You quickly closed the compartment and slipped out of the secret room, making your way back into the library's main area. The footsteps grew louder, and you could hear voices—Joshua's voice. He was talking to someone, and you didn't want to be caught in the library after hours.
You moved quickly but quietly, weaving through the rows of books until you reached the exit. As you stepped into the hallway, you glanced back and saw Joshua entering the library. His expression was calm, but his eyes held a hint of suspicion. You knew he was checking to see if anyone had been in the secret room. If he found out you'd been there, it would only escalate the tension.
You hurried out of the school and headed home, your mind racing with questions. What was in the locked box? Why was Joshua keeping secrets? And most importantly, what was he planning to do with all that information? You needed answers, but you also needed to stay under the radar. Joshua was clearly watching, and you didn't want to provoke him.
Over the next few days, you kept a low profile, avoiding Joshua as much as possible. You noticed that his network of loyalists seemed more active, almost as if they were on high alert. They'd watch you in class, in the hallways, even during lunch. It was like they were waiting for you to make a wrong move.
One afternoon, Sarah approached you again, her expression serious. "Joshua's been asking about you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "He's trying to find out what you know. You need to be careful."
"I don't want any trouble," you replied, feeling the weight of the situation. "But I can't just ignore what's going on."
Sarah nodded. "I get it. But you have to be smart about this. Joshua's not someone to mess with. If he thinks you're a threat, he won't hesitate to take you down."
The days that followed were tense, with Joshua's presence looming over you like a dark cloud. You couldn't shake the feeling that he was always one step ahead, always watching. But you knew you couldn't back down. You'd seen too much, and you couldn't just pretend it never happened.
It was time to take action. You needed to find a way to expose Joshua's secrets without getting caught. It would be risky, but it was the only way to break his hold on the school and bring the truth to light. You'd have to be smart, careful, and ready for anything.
The game had begun, and Joshua was the opponent. Would you outsmart him, or would he crush you before you even had a chance to fight back? Only time would tell.

“Out of all the things we could’ve done today,” you mumble grouchily alongside Joshua.
“I think this is a cute thing we could have done today!” Joshua replies enthusiastically, grabbing your hand.
You hear the faint screams of the other boys as the two of you walk past a rusted Ferris wheel.
“Okay, so tell me this,” you stop walking and tug on Joshua’s hand since he kept walking. He turns to face you and nods at you to continue. “Why are your members with us if it was a date night?”
Joshua rubs the back of his neck. “Well,” he starts off hesitantly.
“You made plans with them and forgot about our date, didn’t you?” you narrow your eyes at him, noticing his hesitance.
“I wouldn’t say forget per say,” Joshua tries to explain himself.
“Oh no, he told me that he totally forgot until you texted him this morning,” Jeonghan pops out of nowhere and says.
“Dude,” Joshua complains, hitting him in the arm.
“Control your violent man, Y/N,” Jeonghan teases as he walks away from the two of you.
Joshua tugs on your hand to get you walking again.
“So,” you prod at Joshua as he hasn’t said anything in the past few minutes.
“Okay, it was more of a promise that we would do this around Halloween since Jeonghan found it earlier this year,” he explains as he walks towards where there was an old Merry-Go-Round.
He helps you on one of the carriages on it. “You could have told me,” you pout and snuggle into his open arms.
He chuckles and rests his chin on top of your head. “Would you have came out with me tonight?”
You consider it for a moment before responding. “No cause it’s a creepy, abandoned carnival. Who knows what’s here,” you shiver, getting the feeling that someone was watching you both.
Joshua’s grasp tightens on you and is about to start speaking when someone pops out from behind you two, screaming their lungs out.
You and Joshua jump up so quick that you accidently bump your head into his chin which causes him to bite his tongue.
“Fuck,” he curses and glares at Soonyoung who is laughing with Chan behind where you two were sitting peacefully. You rub his chin as he holds it and apologize profusely.
“It’s okay, it wasn’t your fault,” he whispers to you, kissing the back of your hand that is rubbing his now red chin.
“You’re supposed to be with the members,” Seungkwan sassily says as he walks towards the four of you.
“Not possibly making babies,” Seokmin fake gags as he pops up from behind Seungkwan, scaring him. Seungkwan screams and punches Seokmin in the arm.
They all start arguing that they forgot about the two of you. Joshua lightly tugs on your sweater and motions for the two of you to slowly walk away from the scene as soon as you make eye contact with him.
“Wait,” Chan interrupts the dumb argument by standing in between Seungkwan and Seokmin. “Where did they go?”
You two take off running as soon as you hear Chan.
“Why are we here again?” you ask Joshua loudly, almost tripping over your two feet as you look back to see the members trying to look for you two.
“I blame Jeonghan,” Joshua yells over his shoulder, tugging you to a quiet and member-less area.

MEANT FOR EACH OTHER
genre. fluff. soulmate au. idol au. warnings. drinking. some crying. pairing. idol!joshua x fem!reader. wc. 2.1k. a/n. from this req!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dating in a world where soulmates existed was hell. Whether you said it out loud or not, you knew the relationship you were currently in was going nowhere. As much as you wanted to love your boyfriend, you didn’t feel attached to him. The most you felt was a small sense of liking, but you would be lying if you said you loved him. And he felt the exact same way. You weren’t meant for each other and it showed in every interaction.
You were always awkward and a bit reserved around each other, always scared to initiate physical touch. It felt as if you had chosen each other as a temporary fix before meeting your actual soulmates. But, you were also too scared to break up until you found the one for you.
You knew he would find his soulmate soon. Everyone had a connection to their soulmate, whether it was matching writing on their body or being able to hear them talk. For your boyfriend, his heart would speed up when he was near them.
This is why you felt more relief than pain when your boyfriend told you that he had finally met his soulmate one day. He had been searching for months, and you had even tried to help him with his task, so you were completely happy for him. He even introduced you to his soulmate. You would miss spending time with him, to be honest. He was a sweetheart, even if he wasn’t who you were meant to be with.
Once he officially left, it really hit you. All your friends had found their soulmates, and now, even your ex had found his. Why was it taking you so long? As for the connection to your soulmate, you hadn’t noticed anything of the sort.
Your heart didn’t speed up. There was no writing on your arms. And you certainly couldn’t communicate. Your best friend assured you that it was only a matter of time. Everyone had a soulmate. There was no exception to it.
And you would wait as long as it took, but your heart still ached months after breaking up and feeling as if you were no closer.
And what’s the natural thing to do when you’re depressed? Drinking. You were always terrified to go out drinking alone, so you bought 5 bottles of soju from the store along with some ramen and other unhealthy snacks. You settled down on your couch, switched on some music and got to drinking.
You hadn’t been able to cry from your situation no matter how much you wanted to. It was strange, being in such pain but not able to express it. You felt unbearably numb. You’d give anything to just be able to feel something other than hopelessness. You gulped down more soju and the TV screen in your living room displayed a random YouTube Mix, skipping to the next cover in the queue.
You glanced over the title. Seventeen. You had heard of them before. 13 member group, insanely talented, synchronisation kings, etc. You closed your eyes, the surprisingly gorgeous cover of double take soothing you. You opened your eyes again, staring at the screen in your drunk state.
“Wait a second… 0 seconds ago?” You whispered in shock, looking at the date of the video release. Your eyes scanned over the screen once more. Joshua.
Before you knew it, tears started to break through. You weren’t sure if it was the song or if it was him. You couldn’t look at anything other than the screen, tears streaming down your cheeks as you watched him sing.
The cover video was all so simple, but it made you feel. It made you cry. Joshua was in a simple green cardigan and white shirt underneath, sitting in a producing studio. His light brown hair looked incredibly soft.
You choked up from the amount of comfort you felt at that moment. What was going on? You didn’t understand where the sudden rush of emotion came from. You hadn’t felt anything so intensely in so long.
You listened to the cover again… and then again. You were still a bit drunk when you had an inkling of a feeling and started to research. You googled the public list of all recorded soul bonds. It took a while, but eventually you found it. Iuntus Sensus.
“Iuntus Sensus or Connected Emotions: When the two souls’ emotions are connected and can be felt by the other even when they are apart. This soul bond is activated as soon as one sees their soulmate for the first time, and again each time they look at their soulmate. The bond is activated when looking at photos, watching videos, or being in person with one’s soulmate.”
You read further into it, everything matching up with what you just felt. From people feeling numb before meeting their soulmate and suddenly being able to feel again, to the intense comforting feeling that was common as the first emotion you felt.
“Could he really be my soulmate?” You wondered aloud. The description seemed to match up but was the probability of it being the case really high enough?
You kept thinking that you were nowhere near good enough to be a famous K-pop idol’s soulmate. But, then again, K-pop idols were just regular people at the end of the day. Yes, they were talented and pretty and famous, but they had soulmates too. You wondered what Joshua was like, if he really was your soulmate.
You spent the next few days watching as much content focused on Joshua as possible. Of course, you ended up becoming a massive carat in that time. It was impossible to not fall in love with the group as a whole, but you really could never take your eyes off of Joshua when he was on screen.
You quickly became an addict of his double take cover, as well as every time he infamously sang sunday morning. Those two covers became your go-to background noise when you worked from home or were relaxing.
You wanted to tell your best friend that you thought you had found your soulmate, but given that you thought he was a world famous K-pop idol and weren’t 100% sure yet, you held off. If you had told her based on the ridiculous story you had so far, there was no way she would take you seriously.
You wondered all the time if Joshua could feel your emotions because you could feel his, or if he still couldn’t because he hadn’t seen your face yet. What if he was wondering where his soulmate was just like you were a month ago?
It was that driving thought that convinced you to pay for tickets to go to one of Seventeen’s fansigns. Joshua would be there, and if he really was your soulmate, all it would take was one look at your face to know. Despite the short 1 minute of expected interaction time, you weren’t scared that it wouldn’t be enough. As long as he saw your face, that was all that was needed.
You dressed in something you felt pretty in, hoping to boost your confidence since you were starting to feel a bit nervous as the time of the fansign crept closer and closer. You stood in line, fiddling with your fingers and the album that you held in your hand as an anxious habit.
You were glad you were standing towards the back of the line since it gave you more time to prepare for meeting your potential soulmate. When you first caught a glimpse of Joshua sitting up at the tables, you felt happy. Or… you felt him feeling happy. You weren’t quite sure since the soul bond was still a bit confusing to you.
Finally, it was your turn in line. You smiled at Mingyu and gave him your album to sign, trying your best to pay attention to him instead of glancing over at Joshua who was further down in line. Talking to each member went by quickly, and soon Mingyu, Hoshi, Dino, S.Coups, Wonwoo, Jeonghan and Seungkwan had signed your album. Joshua was next.
You stepped in front of him, nerves bundling in your stomach for as long as you looked down at the floor. As soon as you looked at him and made eye contact, all the nerves went away. Joshua smiled at you, you smiled back. He took the album from your hand and asked your name.
“Y/n.” You told him, watching his eyebrows furrow and creases form on his forehead. He scribbled down a note and then looked back up to you, studying your face closely.
He tilted his head slightly, “I feel like I’ve… seen you before.”
“Really?” You asked, holding your breath. Joshua nodded, still looking a bit confused. He held up both his hands in a sort of high-five and you moved to hold them.
You both felt a shock like electricity when you touched his hand. You were startled, eyes widening as you stared back at his face. You reached out again and Joshua laced your fingers with his, the confusion slowly leaving his face. You felt a burst of happiness and Joshua smiled that gorgeous smile.
“So, it’s you.” He whispered.
“I knew it was you.” You admitted, piquing Joshua’s interest immediately. “I’ll tell you later.” You said, smiling at the thought that there would be a later. “Wouldn’t want to hold up the line…” You added, aware that you had been talking to him for a bit longer than a minute already and that he was still clutching onto your hand like you would disappear.
“Wait- Y/n, can you stay around?” He asked quickly. “I’ll tell the security to let you in later.”
“Okay.” You nodded, letting go of his hand finally. You gave him a reassuring smile once you felt the sudden surge of anxiety from him. You moved along the line before anyone noticed you lingering in front of Joshua, greeting Woozi with a small smile and giving him your album to sign.
//
You waited outside until someone let you in like Joshua had told you. You weren’t that nervous anymore, now that you knew he was your soulmate. You were mostly excited that you would be able to get to know him better. You expected a security guard to be the face you saw when the doors finally opened, but instead it was Joshua himself, rushing out of the glass doors. He looked around for 2 seconds before spotting you and grinning, not wasting any time to join you at the table you sat at.
“Hi again.” He said nervously.
“Hi.” You laughed.
“You’re a lot prettier than I expected my soulmate to be.” Joshua murmured. You could feel he was still a bit nervous, though that sentence was right on brand for him.
“I didn’t expect you to be so nervous meeting me.” You replied. You weren’t sure where you were getting all the confidence that you seemed to have. Maybe it was the overwhelming feeling of ‘he’s the one’. You finally didn’t have to be hesitant or reserved anymore, and that feeling was incredibly freeing for you.
“You said you knew it was me, early at the fansign?” Joshua prompted.
You nodded, “I’ve known it was you for a while now… otherwise I wouldn’t have come.” You paused, but Joshua seemed eager to hear the full story, so you told him. Everything from hearing his cover while drunk to watching as much content of his as possible, you didn’t let a single detail slip.
Joshua seemed entranced by you as you talked, smiling at your every word and blushing slightly whenever you complimented him. You sat there talking with him for longer than you expected, and soon lost track of the time completely. You only realised that it might have been a bit too long when the street lamps flickered on and you felt the chill from the night air.
Joshua glanced at his phone time, “Oh, it’s already after 9 pm. You should get home.”
You nodded, “It’s not far, so I’ll just walk.”
“I can’t let you walk back in the dark, even if it is close.” Joshua insisted, offering you his hand with a smile.
You took it gingerly, walking back to your old apartment hand-in-hand, taking as long as possible to prolong the time spent together. But even when purposefully walking as slow as you could, you arrived at your apartment building sooner than either of you would’ve liked.
“I feel like there’s… something missing?” You said what Joshua was also thinking.
He paused, butterflies going wild in his stomach, “May I?” He asked softly, leaning in slightly. You nodded, closing your eyes and leaning up to meet him halfway.
As soon as your lips touched it was like everything made sense. It felt so right, so perfect. He was the one meant for you. He was your soulmate.
