She's pretending to be asleep, when the door clicks. He usually backs off when he realises she isn't awake, but this time, he softly approaches the bed.

"Clary?" he mumbles. "I'm sorry, I- I can't sleep, and… I wanted to feel close to something. Someone. I know how horrible I am."

He's climbing into the fucking bed. It's barely big enough to fit the two of them, but he presses up tightly against her, arm around her, and rests his chin against the top of her head.

"I know you're awake," he murmurs. "I'm sorry for waking you. I'm sorry. Please just let me hold you for a little while."

"...how long?" she whispers.

"I don't know. Please?"

"F-Fine."

It's not as though Vincent hasn't done this before. Just to feel something, he says, and the first time it was awkward, and she hated it, but now she sort of pities him, in these quieter moments. Is he that alone?

He trembles, and she searches for his hand in the dark and squeezes it. She knows by now it comforts him, and it'll make him stop faster.

"You're so nice to me," he whispers. He's crying again, she bets. It's not that she'd rather be hurt. This is just exhausting. "I'm sorry."

"I know," she replies. "Shh. Everything will be fine."

Vincent lets out a soft sob, and buries his face in Clary's hair. "I c-can't--"

"Vincent, shush." She takes a deep breath, and gently rubs the back of his hand with her thumb. "Just cry it out. Stop apologising to me."

"Mhm," he whimpers.

It's a while that she has to lie there like that, trying not to just tell him to shut up when he keeps speaking. She'll be gentle, and nice, if it'll make him shut up and go away.

"I'll go back to bed now," he mumbles. "G'night, Clary."

She doesn't bother saying goodnight. He leaves. Locks the door. She pulls the blankets over her head.

I started playing Skyrim for the first time last week. My favorite experiences so far are Ulfric teleporting around a room while 3 NPCs talk at the same time and fast traveling to the Whiterun stables and loading in the middle of the group of hired thugs.

Ahsbfhxjdjr Ulfric seems to have acquired some new powers since the last time I played skyrim, it seems. And I've no idea wtf it was, but for some reason most of the time when I had hired thugs sent after me, it was when I was a super low level and they would always ambush me somewhere in the middle of nowhere and fucking wreck my shit

Most of my play time was vanilla on ps3, but I was rewarded with many exciting new glitches and fuckups when I started playing it on pc, such as the time my horse kept sliding around, before slowly ascending, dying in midair, and leaving me to fall back down and die before I even hit the ground, among many others

They were currently playing fortnite.

“Matt, shut up. Y/n will let me see them.” Chris retaliates, making Nick laugh and Matt shake his head.

“You’re actually so-” Matt started before he gets interrupted by the room door getting swung open.

“Daddy!” Ella, the three year old yells, running over and immediately climbing on his lap. Mailo, the one year old waddling behind her, letting out a whine as he grabbed onto Matt’s knee.

“Hey, guys. I’m streaming, where’s mommy?” Matt says, backing away from the game as he pulls Ella and Mailo on his lap.

“She fell asleep.” Ella said, wrapping her arms around Matt’s neck.

“All right, that is going to be the end of the stream tonight, love you all.” Matt says ending the stream, “Goodnight guys.” Matt says to his brothers.

“Night.” Nick says.

“Peace.” Chris follows before Matt turns off his PC.

Matt lets out a sigh, “You guys ready for bed?” He asks, looking at the both of them.

Ella nods and rubs her eyes, indicating she’s tired.

Mailo doesn’t give a response but snuggles into Matt, also showing Matt he’s tired.

“Okay, Ella i need you to stand up for me.” Matt directs, Ella doing as he says and getting off his lap, letting Matt stand up while holding Mailo before taking Ella’s hand and walking to Mailo’s room first.

“Alright, buddy.” Matt coos, laying Mailo down in the crib as he stuck his thumb in his mouth, immediately finding a comfy spot on the soft material, letting out a hum.

Matt puts the white noise machine on.

“Night, night, Mailo.” Ella says, holding onto Matt’s hand before they walk out of the room and into Ella’s.

“Ready for bed, baby?” Matt asks as he turns the white noise machine on for Ella too.

“Mhm! Te quiero daddy.” Ella says as she gets into her bed, getting comfy under the covers.

“I love you too, El.” Matt says, leaning down and kissing her forehead before getting up and walking out of the room, leaving the door cracked.

Matt then rubbed his forehead, letting out a sigh before he walked downstairs to go grab water from the kitchen, but he stopped as he saw Y/n sleeping on the couch, The runaway dinosaur book in her hands open on a random page as she snored softly.

Matt chuckles as he grabbed the book out of her hand, placing it on the coffee table before he shook her slightly. “N/n, sweetheart. Come on, honey. Let’s go upstairs.” Matt says softly, making Y/n let out a soft groan.

“Come on, baby.” He said, pulling her up as she rubbed her eyes.

“The kids?” She murmured out, walking up the stairs with a slight stumble.

“In bed.” Matt answered as they made it into their room, Y/n immediately plopping on the bed as Matt shut the door behind them.

Matt smiled before he climbed into bed, wrapping his arms around Y/n and placing a soft kiss in the crook of her neck as her back faced him.

“Sweet dreams, baby.” Matt hummed.

I want to talk about The Elder Scrolls and its lore for a minute.

The lore is, officially, whatever you want it to be. (If you ask the only person worth asking.)

Do I enjoy the games that released after Morrowind? Absolutely. Oblivion is Janky Hilarity, Skyrim is Delicious Fantasy, ESO won't run on my PC, but I'm sure it's awesome too.

But to me, personally, there'll always be a divide. The Morrowind-Lore, and the rest of the lore. Because the Lore in Morrowind is so extra, so alien and weird and how it hints at weirdness in the other provinces, the other games feel like letdowns.

Cyrodiil was meant to be this expansive, unnavigable jungle, where one had to stick to the rivers to traverse it. Where the Imperial City was meant to house a thousand temples for a thousand religious beliefs. And beyond the civilized cities of the province, the jungles would hold mystery and danger. Would one be able to encounter an Ayleid? Or a tribal Nede? Who knows?

And we got...

Oblivion. A fun game. Hell, a good game, kind of. But not what had been built up.

Same, but different, with Skyrim.

The political machinations of the Nords. The struggles between local petty kings, the High King, and the Empire. The worship of the Nord pantheon, with Alduin, Herma-Mora, Kyne, Shor, etc.

Skyrim is a great game. It was my first taste of TES. It sparked my love for the series. But I play Daggerfall more often than Skyrim these days, and I barely ever get around to Oblivion.

I don't mean to strip away anyone else's fun or enjoyment of TES. As Micheal Kirkbride said, the lore is whatever you want it to be.

Mine is simply one where the was lore built by Kirkbride and continued by fans ever since. Where Hermaphroditic God-Kings rule through authoritarian Theocracy, where Men and Women and Elves and all sorts attain Divinity through Action, Cunning or Sorcery.

Where the Godhead's dream will Never End.

Your room was like heaven in your eyes. It had most things you loved in ONE room. Your favorite books, your tv, your pc, And lastly your personal space. No one ever telling you about what you’re supposed to do in your room.

And yet all of them would come crashing down on one random day in June.

You would get up to your room taking another way to get up there instead of just coming in through the front door. You would get to your room like you always do. You were about to start your after-school routine, listen to music, and do your homework.

You open the door to see your room split in. Emotions would all come at you at once. You didn’t know what emotion you wanted to feel. But one that practically took over all the rest was confusion.

Why was it two twin beds instead of your queen, why were all of your beloved precious items pushed to one side while the other had items you never saw before,

The doorbell started to ring, she dusted her hands on her cooking apron. She would then remove the apron and head to the door . “ looks like the surprise came earlier than anticipated “ she would say.

“Honey this might be a little different for you, but remember Miles your childhood best friend, “ she asks you.

That’s when you knew exactly what was happening: she probably invited him over, but little did she know that you guys fell out a year ago.

“Well I ran into his mom at the store, and You know Jeff is on a business trip, so u said they could stay with us... Isn't that great “ she says?

You begin to force a smile on your face “Yeah it's great “ you tell her.

“I was hoping they would come later so the food would be done, it's good there here now so they can get used to the home, “ she says, she answers the door.

You were trying to decide if you wanted to you upstairs or stay downstairs and introduce them to the house. You chose to stay downstairs you knew mama rio would want to see you.

“Ah, mi chica, mi chica (Ah my girl, my girl) “Mama Rio goes in for a hug with your mom

Then he went into the room that you guys were going to share . He places his bags and go back downstairs. You were confused on why . You left it alone and went to your PC and started to work on your computer .

“So how’s life been “ miles try’s to break the silence you turn around while staying in your chair .

“I understand we're not really on speaking terms with each other but just so you know I still care about you, “ he tells you.

“Then if you care so much why did you start acting different and ghost me, “ you ask him “It's hard to explain, “ he says.

“just tell me the truth , when we fell out you made me seem like I something wrong like I made you go away “ you told him

“Thats not it y/n , i can’t tell you why “ he tells you , your mind goes confused.

“ok, thats fine, when you want to ... Then you can talk to me, “ you tell him and go back to doing what you needed to do.

He felt his heart beating fast like it was aching to tell you the truth.

He let out a sigh “You know Spider-Man “ he asks you, you turn around “ ofc, I mean you should know I love spider-man” you tell him

He removes his hand from your mouth “Yes I’m good, it was a spider but Miles killed it “ you lied to your mom.

You guys both look at each other, you looking up at him, him looking down at you. His arm still on your waist .

“You can let go of my waist now, “ you tell him

“Well uh that’s cool, I’m going to you know listen to music and do my work “

You say awkwardly and sit back down.

He was happy, he got his best friend and some new feelings for her Also.

More assorted NPCs from the Exalted game I’m running. They sure do meet some weird freaks. Character info under the cut.

Anwar, Zurias & Seung Wu (all te/tyr): more assorted Tya crewmates for the PC’s ship. Oodles of t-boy swag from this trio.

The Fool of Ghosts and Shadows (he/him): A freaky sad clown Abyssal that lived in a haunted mansion. He trapped the party and tried to emotionally torture them but they kicked his butt. He’s actually my very liberally interpreted take on a canon Exalted character named the Knight of Ghosts and Shadows. Don’t ask why I made them a clown, it’s too long a story.

Luis Andujar (he/him): A ghost-blooded necromancer and an all around friendly sorta dude and a bit of a renaissance man. The party was hired to deliver him a message (re: a devil stone) but he’s grown rather fond of the PCs now.

The Siren Tower (it/its): A type of fey monster from the Exalted books, it lures in ships to wreck them and add the junk to its mass. The one the party bumped into though was a little different, it talked to them. Pretty weird! I’m sure they won’t bump into it again.

Quanto a capinha, lógico que digo! Agora que é meio difícil explicar como fiz os efeitos e tudo mais kkkkkk, na verdade eu misturei várias texturas que peguei do Pinterest (já que edito pelo Ibis, fica mais complicado de dizer) mas posso disponibilizar aqui as texturas que usei na capa Cruel Summer.

Quanto a fonte, foi a Surfing Capital. Adoro essa fonte, mas se for baixar ela pelo PC, não abra no visualizador do windows, só instale, ok? Ela é um tantinho pesada para o visualizador aguentar e tudo mais kasksksk. Também tenho esse pack aqui com fontes do mesmo criador e similares a ela.

HI YES I LOVE HIM TOO HE'S SO <33 vincent is so interesting there's a lot to him.

like. okay lore time you gave me an opportunity. vincent as an english university student in the 1820s met a vampire named ambrose lyfelde during a trip to france. vincent had never quite found his place and felt deeply isolated and lyfelde wasn't. 100% honest about what becoming a vampire would do to him. vincent was promised power and community but really all lyfelde wanted was to have someone to fuck with and vincent seemed like the perfect doormat. he was around twenty-two when he was turned.

eventually vincent returned to england alone and kind of disappeared. everyone who knew him assumed he'd died in france. vincent tried to seek out the vampire community and found it, but was forced to assimilate to the cruelty and convinced himself that he was better than humans so that he didn't have to think about what a mistake he'd made.

the dread and depression caught up to him though and while taking a walk one evening he just sort of broke down. clary happened to pass by and asked if he was alright and if she could help and he kind of just. kidnapped her on a whim because she was nice to him. more than anything he wanted company. she didn't make for great company. she literally just bullied him all the time. so he resorted to violence and tried to make her need him the way he needed her.

eventually clary got out and it's complicated and i don't wanna get into it yet. but vincent kind of lost it and became much more risky which got him captured by a group of vampire hunters and they basically just tortured him for fun. they weren't even the ones who convinced him he was such a worthless monster. he mostly did it to himself. after everything he'd done, what else could he really be?

Let's talk about Shoma...NHK edition...

Two 2nd places and Shoma is in the GPF. He had a much better free skate than at CoC. So it should be something to be happy about. But clearly I am not.

If you have seen my post from CoC you know that I am not upset about Shoma getting 2nd, I am upset about the way he got 2nd. Fight me on this but in any other tech panel of the season he would have a 195+ score for his skate, if not even 200. (And if you looked at the tech box it was 106 TES and that would have given him a 198 score even with those PCS) I don't want to speculate about any political games or anything, for now I simply want to believe Shoma was simply disliked by the tech panel ppl.

(And btw I like Yuma a lot and I am happy he is back! Iif one is winning over Shoma, I am happy if it's Yuma just not like this and this isn't Yuma's fault ofc, so nothing against Yuma.)

What's most sad about Shoma's silver today is that it made him question competing and his abilties. 😭😭😭

He felt good about his performance and then tech panel completely deflated all positive feelings. His comments are so defeated. He perfomed good, he did all combos, landed the 4F and Axels that he was insecure about in the practice, even yoloed a 4T which alone shows his superiority bc who else can do that??? And yet it wasn't enough for the fcking judges to give him high scores.

We all knew Shoma wasn't gonna skate forever and I always knew that it could very well be his last season, but his comments didn't sound so final, so I thought there was maybe a tiny bit hope he'd still continue. But today I am not even sure he will not retire after Nats. I have my doubt he would neglect the opportunity if he's selected for Worlds but if you'd ask him today he probably won't go. Pulling a Tatsuki Machida never seemed more real...and part of me wouldn't even mind. I would lie if I say I won't be sad about Shoma's retirement, but all I really want is him happy and if competing isn't making him happy anymore...better retire on own terms than the Jfed and ISU waving you goodbye by lowballing you...

I hope though that while his comments now are negative, that he will rethink the attitude bc it's not him who has reached a limit or who isn't capable of better scores, it's a fcking judging mishap. Keiji said his 4Loop was brilliant and rotation clean, Shoma himself said he was surprised about the 4Lo and 4T being called (as he could see his landing), Stephane shook his head at the score, no it's not your fault Shoma. And I hope he gets the prep talks of his life by his surroundings!

There are two ways this could lead to, Shoma being on the verve of retiring and motivation for competition is completely lost or Shoma is fired up and rebounds stronger than ever from this disappointment with new fire. As Shoma fans we have seen many ups and downs of Shoma and usually Shoma always came back stronger. Ppl saying that's the end for him after IdF 2019 -he went on to win JNats, ppl saying he is done at WTT 2021 proceeds to win an Olympic medal and World Gold 2022, let's see what happens now...atm a positive way seems impossible but after a few days the world may not seem as dark...

I am truly furious for his 2nd place and petty me who thought I could stand seeing Shoma in 2nd is now completely on skating gods pls let Shoma win all Gold medals from now on as perfect revenge arc 🔥🔥🔥

Oh boy. Oh this is so hard but I have one answer that’s kinda out of the box.

I love talking about the deeplore of TES, and things like Numidium and the whackier aspects of the TES universe, but I think the number one thing I’ll never get tired of, and shows literally whenever somebody asks me about Skyrim and I cannot stop myself from mentioning it, is the Vicn mod trilogy.

This is such an obscure answer but dear lord this mod trilogy has consumed me whole, changed my outlook on the TES universe and gave it a new meaning. It’s beautiful, it’s macabre, it’s morbid and it’s genius. It works so well with the material it has in the existing universe to create something new that can fit seamlessly into the story and it’s just so beautiful. So many gorgeous themes. The story and the side plots are just so wonderfully crafted it made me cry. It might as well be its own TES game honestly.

Using this ask as a reminder that if you play Skyrim on PC, are equipped to run mods and have some degree of understanding of the lore and history of the TES universe/are interested in learning more about it, then please, please consider trying out Vigilant, Glenmoril and Unslaad.

So, you brought up ESO when asked about other TES games you've played. What were your first thoughts on it, what convinced you to give it a try? Also, what sort of character did you end up going with?

Tbh the main reason I ended up getting the game was because it was on sale lmao

At first I didn't know much about eso besides the fact that it lets you explore other parts of Tamriel. I'm not into PVP but PVE seemed interesting enough to give it a shot, and since I've only ever played Skyrim I was super excited to roam around different regions.

But man, once I started playing it was a whole different story,,,,I felt really confused and overwhelmed most of the time. 😭 Thankfully I found a guild pretty quickly and the leader was kind and patient enough to walk me through everything. Things were going okayish until the constant lag became so unbearable I had to stop playing and say goodbye to my new guild friends. 💔 I'd love to jump back into it once I get a new laptop but that's gonna take a while cause you know, can't just ditch an otherwise functional PC only because it struggles with a few games :') Gotta wait till it breaks down entirely, which sounds terrible, I know.

As for my character I initially thought of creating an ancestor to Varimar, but then I changed my mind and went with a Khajiit, my sweet Atranji, who's completely unrelated to my ldb. I usually go for mage characters, but I wanted to switch things up this time by making her a nightblade. Still not sure if it was the best idea though, I have no experiece with other classes and I was pretty terrible at picking and using her abilities sgdhdjdbdb

16. Does your oc take their time as they travel, or are they purposeful? How do they survive in the wilds, especially if they aren’t hunter-types? How dependent is your oc on civilized society?

Definitely more purposefully, he's incredibly focused to even detrimental levels. Man will cut through a bog if it makes the trip go even an hour quicker. He knows a decent amount of survival skills from both the Legion and from growing up in a somewhat rural setting. Dumbass country boy kind of shtick. Not very dependent on cities, but like most people needs to trade things when possible.

17. What does your oc like to eat? How much food do they eat? Can your oc cook, and can they do it well?

He likes any kind of food, but is so used to ration, hardtack type of food that straying far from that too abruptly isn't going to end well for anyone. Since he's always on the move as a very diligent lackey, boy burns through a lot of calories, so he eats a good bit of food. Thankfully hardtack is easy to store in abundance, eh?

He can cook fairly well too, but not fancy chef tier. Just knows a good bit from doing it personally for so long. One of those types that uses smell rather than anything else to tell good it's goin', you know?

20. What does your oc wear in the city/settlements? In the house? When travelling, but not adventuring or expecting combat? Do they vary their clothes depending on what hold/city they’re in? If they don’t, why not (e.g., if your oc wears the same outfit to tend their garden or lounge around the house as they did to meet Ulfric or Elisif, why?) Does your oc have a good or bad sense of fashion? How many clothes does your oc have?

He's one of those "it has to be practical and comfortable to some degree or I'm going to go actually insane" type of lads. Either wears his issued Legion plate armour, or the under-armour (gambeson) when he can. If he can't get away with that, then he dresses 100% like your average person, not wanting to stand out and having no reason for dressing up either.

As for wearing different clothing to different holds, it depends on the weather more than anything. Again, practicality over all else for this bastard.

Can DEFINITELY be classed as having bad fashion sense. If it's for a special event, his commanding officer (who is also his best mate) has to either tear him a new one over it, or nearly hand hold him over it. Stupid idiot.
