Many *many* groups of humans are vulnerable to sexual assault. Are female spaces and opportunities a shield for all of them?

Mens predilection for sexually assaulting each other is awful. Why exactly is it fucking terfs fault? Why exactly is it womens duty to endanger themselves to solve it? Males have the same rates of criminality regardless of their fashion choices or ideology - why should we invite any in at all?

If you want to make a change - get your bros to stop raping entirely. It still won't change your sex or make you welcome in womens spaces but at least you'll be safer in your own.

How are we supposed to feel safe?

When the pulse shooting happened in 2016, I was only 12 years old. I still remember watching the news of what had happened at my grandmas house while she was watching me for the day. I was filled with fear. I didn’t know that so much hate existed towards gay people and this was my first time ever witnessing it. My family was pretty accepting of gay people, and so was everyone else I knew. It was the first time I realized that there were people out there who hated me enough to kill me.

I was only 12, but I vowed to myself then that I’d never go to a gay club or event, and I still haven’t to this day (due to a mix of fear and general laziness)

It’s just a bitter reminder that these spaces will never be truly safe. My mind will wander every time I step foot into one of those organizations about the possible threats.

Its not a normal female experience to hate being seen as a girl by society this much, and to feel so trapped living as a woman. I don’t hate being seen as a girl. I hate being seen as less of a person for being a girl. I don’t hate trans people, I hate the restrictions of gender. Women can wear boys clothes and vice versa. Why would I be jealous of the sex that goes bald in their 30s? I enjoy thinking with my brain and not my genitals thanks. I would not be happier if I transitioned because I am not trans, I am a girl. Being called a guy by my friends or any of those other things you listed do not appeal to me because I am a girl. The ending of your message sounds like something a creepy man in his basement would say trying to groom someone. You don’t know me, why do you feel like you know how I would feel? Trying to convince me into transitioning by giving me compliments is really weird, that’s a tool of grooming (I know from my past). The fact that you can’t see a girl being happy existing as a person without restricting herself based on her sex or changing her appearance to be respected is a you problem.
