I did end up scrolling through my personal archives for this and going back to my bnha roots just for you <3 This concept was a fave of mine, and while I didn't write an actual fic for it, I did write a plot summary-type thing along with some bullet points. Hope you enjoy a little Momojirou!

It’s a rite of passage for the Yaoyorozu family once a child turns fifteen to head a successful infiltration mission - the higher the stakes, the more respect the young Yaoyorozu will earn from their future subordinates. Knowing this, Yaoyorozu Momo sets her sights on infiltrating Yuuei High School - one of the most revered and protected institutions in Japan - for the duration of three full years. Momo’s quite literally been preparing for this for her entire life. 

But what happens when Momo realizes she could be more than just a means to an end, the latest blossom of a tree watered in blood? What about when she’s surrounded by loving people her own age for the first time in her life, and it clicks that she’s allowed to want things for herself? That maybe, just maybe, she can save lives rather than take them? Rule with love and not fear?

As their first year goes on, both Momo and Kyoka grow to love their place within their class and genuinely care for their classmates. Feelings like these are dangerous, they know. But at least it can help make their act more convincing. 

Kyoka notices that Momo’s acting less and less every day. They know each other’s tells, they have since childhood, and Momo isn’t just pretending to play Hero anymore.

Why I think Russell Adler is going to make a comeback in COD 2024

WARNING⚠️: Contains spoilers for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Disclaimer: This is all just speculation on my behalf of course. I've just tried piecing stuff together for fun because Russ is one of my fave BO characters even though he's a bitch but i need more Adler content stat. <33

Let's get into it peeps. HEAR ME OUT.

Buckle up. Gonna be one hell of a ride folks 🤪

We'll start off with some random/background info.

Russ was born on February 12th 1937 so that would make him 53/54 in the Gulf War era. This actually isn't that old because if you think about it, Woods was about to turn 51 in 1981 during the Cold War campaign. What's a few more years?

We last saw Adler in action post-campaign in Warzone 1.0 cinematics but we've been kept in the dark about Adler's whereabouts post-1984 (after being brainwashed and killing Stitch LOL).

This meanie in a beanie wasn't forgotten about, oh no. He appears in the new cinematic intros on startup for both MWII (2022) and MWIII (2023). See below:

He was also featured twice in the 20 year anniversary video for Call of Duty whereas COD Ghosts didn't even get an appearance (ouch): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL_w5HmxsPI

I personally believe Adler was a great addition to the Black Ops roster and is essentially the new Black Ops 'cover boy' now. Would be such a shame and a missed opportunity not to include a character like him in the upcoming COD. One who is morally grey, does whatever he deems necessary to get the job done - a bit like Cpt. Price in MW. Got the COD fans riled up about him brainwashing and pulling the trigger on Bell too - he's already got the spotlight in both a good and bad way.

Now, let's explore my main reasoning as to why I think Mr Shades 2.0 is most likely coming back in late 2024...

🎖️First up: Gulf War mission list 🔫

Here are some of the campaign missions that will be featured in Black Ops Gulf War. Obviously, this is subject to change, however, going off what we have, look closely...

I took the following snippet from this official article.

From this, we know there will be a huge focus on the CIA and who's a CIA clandestine special officer? Mhm, you guessed it - Russell Adler.

Now, according to the events of BO2, it's evident which characters have the possibility of returning out of our original BO trio - Jason Hudson, Frank Woods and Alex Mason.

💫 Alex is presumed dead after Frank shot him so he's out the picture in '90/91 until 2025 when they canonically meet again.

🪵 Woods would be in his 60s during this time too so I'll let you decide whether that's too old for him to be in GW.

Edit: Woods got SPAS-12'd in the kneecaps on Dec 20th 1989 by Raul Menendez so uh...yeah

🧊 Hudson died on Dec 20th 1989 at the hands of Raul Menendez.

➡️ Gulf War being a direct sequel to Cold War and what that could mean 💉

That brings me onto the rest of the safehouse crew. Since GW is a direct sequel to CW, it would make sense for some characters to carry over if possible:

We, as the player/Bell, get to choose whether Park or Lazar die (or both lovebirds) in 'End of the Line'. It's highly unlikely they'll return unless the devs make one decision canon maybe.

There could be a chance we see Sims again given his bond with Adler (Da Nang etc.), his age (late 40s in GW) and his status (alive).

That leaves the man himself, Russ. Everything from his age to the fact he's CIA and was the deuteragonist in COD 2020's campaign just makes sense for him to have at least a lil cameo or even a larger role, don't you think?

📱Finally: Hints from official posts 🔎

This post from Call of duty's official Instagram account kind of sealed the deal for me.

Oh lookie - they dropped syringe-lover's famous line in a zombies post. Why would COD just drop it so casually like that without a reason and years after CW came out? They could've said absolutely anything else but no, this was purposeful.

How he's only in one game is beyond me. Won't get a character like him ever again. Seems like a cliché war dude at first glance but dig a little deeper into the details of the CW campaign, peel back the layers and get into his psychology and WOWZERS.

Am I delusional? Most definitely.

But the possibility he might be returning...that little bit of hope is enough for me and i won't shut up about it.

This will age horribly if he isn't in GW. Forgive me for feeding your delusions too in that case. Please?

with her brown hair swishing from side-to-side, she strutted into the scene in her purple and blue glittery swimsuit. “hi barbie!” she greeted the other blondes and brunettes scattered across the sandy beach. “hi barbie!” “hi barbie!” “oh my god, popstar barbie..” a tiny whisper said, making her turn towards the quiet sound. “h-hey barbie!” the voice was coming from a redhead she didn’t realise stood next to her the entire time. “oh, hey allan!” she replied as he nervously giggled.

“cut!” a voice yelled out causing the cameras to stop filming. the barbie placed her hands on her hips and leaned towards the one and only allan. “that was already so much fun.” she told him, grinning. “it was. too bad the others are going to have to film on different days though, huh?” allan’s actor, michael, stretched as he talked to his girlfriend of two years.

greta walked towards the two, “good job, guys! it was exactly how i imagined it.” she smiled at the couple, “for the next scene, i was thinking you could move nearer to the barbies before ken tries to impress stereotypical barbie?” she asked y/n who only nodded, “oh yeah, sure!” “great.” greta walked away from them to converse with the crew for the next scene.

michael took in the scenery of the set for a bit as they waited for the rest of the cast to arrive. ryan was one of the first ones there. “hey, ry.” the girl greeted him, waving. “hey, lovebirds.” he teased, wiggling his eyebrows. “how’s it going?” “going great! filmed that hi barbie scene for our part.” “mmm, bet it’s going to turn out great.” he gushed, crossing his arms.

“we hope so.” michael said, watching the rest of the cast walk into the studio.

the two had coincidentally been casted in the same movie without each other’s knowledge, which was hard to understand at first until they explained it in an interview after the movie had just been released.

“actually,” y/n started, “i’d gotten cast around 2020 and kept it a secret from basically everyone because i really wanted it to be a surprise, like nobody knew at all! until i showed up on the first day of filming and saw this guy!” she nudged her boyfriend’s rib and he laughed. “it seemed as though we had similar ideas on surprises because i got casted really last minute and so when i heard of the role i immediately thought ‘oh, y/n’s gonna freak out when she watches this movie and sees me there.’ then what do i know? she’s standing on set in her popstar barbie costume.” michael scoffingly laughed as the rest of the cast chuckled along.

“so, how is it working on set with your partner? any interesting quarrels that might have happened?” the interviewer asked and they shared a look. “nope. totally none.” “yeah, we have a very professional relationship on the job, i’d say.” their comments make greta snort, “they banter quite a lot on set, actually.” she jabbed, “very distracting.” ryan shook his head, “tut tut. how unprofessional.” he commented, making the others giggle.

michael and y/n only smile, how can they deny the truth?

he was a siamese-tabby mix (assumed! submitter only knew his mother), and they got him when they were about 5 years old, and he was just a kitten. they got him alongside of his sister, and he was the quieter of the two, so submitter used to joke that she did all the talking for them both, even tho he started meowing himself when his sister died. he passed in 2020, after 17 long and peaceful years. he was submitter's baby for all of those, and theyve never met a cat that they loved more than him <3 sweet boy

LAVENDER

A very soft black cat with big yellow eyes and knife sharp claws, who couldn't kill a fly if she tried (she's tried. it was cute to watch, but it got away) but can and will knead your skin until it bleeds! Also she carries her worm on a string toy (the clear string was cut off for safety) in her mouth like either her baby or her prey (submitter can't tell!) when she wants to play. She is loud. and keeps submitter sane enough to function.

The Fairy Gala group had returned after their eventful day and needed a shower to remove the ridiculous amount of glitter and makeup Vil threw at them.

“Let me walk you back to your dorm and help remove your makeup, herbivore,”

“Sure. Lead the way.” Yuu smiled while adjusting the sleeping Grim with one arm.

Ruggie watched as Leona and Yuu walked off too close to be considered friendly.

“What are you looking at?” Kalim asked while skipping over to the hyena’s side.

“Can’t you see what’s happening?”

“What?”

“And they don’t have a clue!”

“Who?” Kalim asked innocently. Ruggie pointed at the two lovebirds, catching the moment Leona intertwined his hand with Yuu’s.

“They’ll fall in love, and here’s the bottom line, our group would be down by two.”

“We are not friends,” Jamil joined in with a serious expression.

Ruggie ignored Jamil and threw an arm over Kalim’s shoulders, “Can’t you see it, Kalim? The magic everywhere!”

“Well, we use magic every day,” Jamil added.

Kalim’s mouth opened in an ‘o’ like a lightbulb lit up in his head, and Ruggie grinned.

“There’s romance in the air!”

“They’re so loud,” Leona complained, causing Yuu to laugh. The two were far, but they could hear Ruggie and Kalim’s yelling, especially Leona.

Yuu squeezed Leona’s hand and laughed, “Just ignore them. We can reveal our relationship to them in the morning.”

A/N: Ruggie yelled “finally” when it was announced, Kalim was very happy, Jamil congratulated them, and Crewel had a heart attack at the age of 32 (this is based on an old post regarding dad Crewel and Yuu at the Fairy Gala)

X Sent 19:32 Nina couldn't help but smile as she watched the bookshop from the coffee shop. For once it was fun to be one of those in the know. Then her gaze was drawn to the Bentley parked in its reserved spot. The strange car no longer surprised anyone in the neighborhood, just as people had gotten used to the kind bookseller and his equally kind, though he denied it, dark partner. It had been easy to convince the other shopkeepers on Whickber Street to prepare this little surprise. They all had the same kind of amnesia about the night of the ball in the bookshop, but they all had the same impression. They'd been in danger, and Crowley and Aziraphale had protected them. There were often small disagreements among the shopkeepers, but they were all unanimous about this.

For today Good Omens Flufftober prompt : Slow dancing The Shopkeepers prepare a little surprise for Aziraphale and Crowley.

Her mom cupped his face when they got apart. “Are you okay?” Carlos was glad she didn’t comment anything on his face, that by looking at TK’s he guessed was full of soot too.

“We got cleared, mum. I’m fine.” His answer was drier than he would have wanted it to be, but he was too tired to care anymore.

Carlos missed how, when he moved into the kitchen, his mom looked at TK and said “that’s not what I asked.” TK nodded in understanding, and they joined everyone in the kitchen. “I couldn’t prepare anything, but maybe Mr Strand has some cocoa? I can make a hot drink to help you sleep better.”

“I’m not hungry, mum. But thank you,” he replied.

“Yeah.” TK made a funny face. “And I highly doubt my dad has any chocolate around.”

“Chocolate?” Captain Strand joined the conversation. “Who do you think I am?” TK threw him a deadly stare, and then he kept going. “But I think I kept some coffee that Gwyn left somewhere. Why don’t I prepare something and we let the boys get settled in?”

Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe Top [Star] Yuzuka Rei will retire next May and had her retirement press conference in Osaka city on 16th [of August]. Yuzuka-san appeared in a white suit attire and said with a bright smile, "I want to continue to do this earnestly, but I want to meet myself from the outer world that I haven't known about yet."

Yuzuka-san stated her intention of retiring this year in February. "I have here with me many sentiments from everyone, (the happiness) is so overwhelmingly contained in my heart". At the same time, also retiring is the Top Musumeyaku Hoshikaze Madoka, to which after [Yuzuka] told [Hoshikaze] about [her intention of retirement] in the rehearsals for the musical "A Battlefield for the Two of Us", [Hoshikaze] replied that "Please let me [retire] along with you."

She told the troupe members the day after the performance on the 12th, a day before the 13th which is the Senshuuraku day of the Takarazuka Grand Theatre performance "Singing Lovebirds" "GRAND MIRAGE!". From her companions' expressions and their gaze, "I once again was so grateful that I was able to work with these members."

For her turning point performances, she mentioned the Taiwan performance "Rose of Versailles" "Takarazuka Fantasia" (2015), "Boys Over Flowers" (2019), "Haikara-san ga Tooru" (2020). Her [Top] debut performance "Haikara-san ga Tooru" in the Takarazuka Grand Theatre had a delayed opening day after 4 months. "As my memories, this was an important production that I myself learnt a lot from".

Amidst the coronavirus, she said that she received courage on stage from seeing the audience. Yuzuka-san entered the revue in 2009 as the 95th class. Her classmates include Star Troupe Top Star Rei Makoto-san and Moon Troupe Top Star Tsukishiro Kanato-san. After assigned to Flower Troupe, she garnered attention for her glamorous stage poise and dancing. She became the Top Star in November 2019 after Asumi Rio-san retired.

After the retirement of the then-Top musumeyaku Hana Yuuki, she welcomes her partner Hoshikaze-san and played an important role in the Flower Troupe 100th Anniversary Revue. "It was just really like, two broken people that just started just leaning on each other," the "Hollaback Girl" singer expressed regarding the initial stages of her relationship with the country crooner.

"I mean, we are the most unexpected people to be friends, but we had so much in common," she admitted.

At the time, a lot of their similarities allowed them to connect "in a bad way," though the pair eventually "found out there was way more than just our tragedy that we had in common."

"He became my best friend. And here we are, like almost 10 years later, right? Well, Apollo's gonna be 10, so maybe 9 years," Stefani detailed of joining The Voice as a judge in September 2014, just months after welcoming her third child with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, in May of that same year. (The former spouses also share sons Kingston, 17, and Zuma, 15.)

Recalling the moment of fate when she was asked to join the reality singing competition series nearly a decade ago, the 54-year-old explained: "I get a call, everyone's over at my house, and I'm sitting there with my lawyer, my parents, and my niece was there seeing the baby."

The person on the other end of the line was Shelly Azoff, whose husband Irving became Stefani's manager in July 2014.

"She's like, Christina Aguilera's pregnant, do you want to do The Voice? And I was like, I never really watched the show. Like, my parents watched it [and] my sister, [but] when was I gonna watch that? You know what I mean? I'm busy. So, I was like, OK. Everyone's like, 'do it, do it.' And I was like, OK. So, that was the start of the new — that was the second miracle," she sweetly shared.

Stefani elaborated: "The first miracle was getting pregnant. The second was The Voice. And then the third was, obviously, meeting Blake."

The "Rich Girl" singer started dating Shelton in November 2015, more than one year after she joined the NBC show. In October 2021, the "Boys 'Round Here" singer popped the question. The lovebirds tied the knot the following year.
