1. If you had to watch one drama forever what would it be?

Uhm. Tbh I’m not much of a rewatcher, at least not very often, so this feels like some elaborate method of torture lmao

Maybe The Miracle of Teddy Bear because it’s super long with a lot of different storylines so it won’t be boring (until it kills me dead in the last ep).

Or maybe Gen Y because lmao lmao at least it’s entertaining 🤡

2. If you could change the ending of a drama which one would it be?

If there won’t be another season of Kinnporsche I’d just want some closure for KimChay. It doesn’t even necessarily have to be a happily ever after, just something more than crying alone in a room that isn’t even Chay’s room (he looked so lonely and trapped 😭) with a future that’s uncertain. And don’t even get me started on Kim.

Also, I need to see Korn lose. 😒

3. Name your favorite drama and tell who your favorite character was.

I can’t choose, I have so many and they change so often. 😭

I have a soft spot for Our Days and Mon is definitely one of my favourite characters. I have so much love for everyone involved in this production in general. 💜💜

Other than that, there’s Teh (ITSAY & IPYTM), Bar (En of Love, Love Mechanics), Toh (SCOY), Ae (Love By Chance), Prakan (Dear Doctor) aaand I want to say Kim (Kinnporsche) but there simply wasn’t enough of him in the show to count as a fave lmao

4. Name a drama you dropped within the first few episodes ~ we all have at least one!

Right now, it’s Check Out. I love Best Vittawin so, so much, but I can’t watch this. I can’t. I’m too weak. I’m sorry, Best, I failed you. 💀

5. Name a popular drama you've never watched and why?

You’re my Sky & Light On Me. Idk the stars just weren’t aligned, I guess. Maybe I’ll pick them up later when my watchlist isn’t as full (yeah, right lmao).

6. Name a drama you regret watching.

Hm. Maybe the second part of Love Area? I had a soft spot for the first half and I love Kaitoon as a character (and his actor too - I hope he’s going to be in another drama eventually) but wtf was that? I didn’t even mind the open/bad ending. Sometimes things just don’t work out and sometimes people are just toxic for each other but... make it make sense, at least! What’s with all of these side characters? Why did you underutilise Jeff Satur? Why did the screenwriters hate Nont so much? And the sound editing and continuity were really rough all of a sudden.

7. Name a drama you thought you’d never watch but did and did you end up liking it?

Uh. Probably 2Moons2. I read about the controversies before I watched the show and I was prepared to hate it but then I didn’t. I actually really liked it (for what it was... I mean, it isn’t a masterpiece or anything lmao).

8. Name a pairing you want to see?

Prom Ratchapat & Mark Siwat. They better deliver on that cameo because now I’m invested!

Also, Mos Panuwat & Bank Mondop because I love their travel vlogs so much. Actual hearteyes, they’re so 💜💜💜

And Perth Nakhun & Nodt Nutthasid because we all need at least one ghostship. 🤡

9. Name a pairing you didn’t think had chemistry?

Thanu & Wayu in Gen Y. What even was that? Like, what was the goal there? Was I too hung up on Thanu/Phai and Pha/Wayu to see it? I feel like if they had just allowed the actors to use their natural chemistry (like it shone through in the funny scenes) everything would have been fine but instead they just stared at each other during their “romantic scenes” and managed to convey not a single emotion that way. AND PHA DIED FOR WHAT? 😤

Also, Best Vittawin and Chahub Marut. They just don’t work for me tbh but it could just be that Check Out is so ?? ???

10. Name a pairing you have seen in another drama that you like?

Uh, as in - a drama I haven’t watched but where I like the pairing? Or a pairing that’s been in several dramas?

Idk I’m confused but I think Jame Kasama & Jet Jetsadakorn are Starhunter’s best acting pair and it’s time they realised that and gave them another show (Big can come too, as a treat).

Talk about your dnd OCs! I would love to hear about them 😁🌟

Oh Wiz! Thank you!! This is so sweet. Let me round up my faves I've collected over the years.

Viuly - this is one of my oldest OCs in general that I converted into a D&D character. She's a high elf pact of the blade warlock who accidentally became a warlock while coming home after essentially flunking wizard school. Her heart is in the right place, but her methods can be questionable. She's the vodka aunt of the group.

Ilumina - Viuly's kid sister, who was mostly an NPC in Viuly's campaign, but I played her in a follow-up campaign. She's a high elf knowledge domain cleric. She's a good girl who suffers from insomnia and just wants her sister to come home safe and sound. If Viuly is the "someone's gonna die" character, Ilumina is the one jumping in to go, "of fun! :D :D :D"

Rivyn - my anxious murder girl. She's a tiefling assassin rogue (with some levels in cleric) who grew up abandoned on the streets and is like a feral cat - kind of lashes out at anything that moves, but is a sweetie once she warms up to people. Her claim to fame was stumbling upon a cursed deck of many things and then making it her mission to destroy it.... yeaaaah it went exactly as well as you imagine it would. tl;dr - some deities got involved and before she was escorted to hell, Sarenrae intervened and took Rivyn in. So she's now an ascended tiefling(??? whatever we houseruled this) who acts on Sarenrae's behalf to bestow redemption in times of need (and she's a lot less murder-y about it lol). Whenever we do campaigns in that particular universe, sometimes Rivyn pops up as a patron saint to orphaned children. People respect her by leaving blankets out at night for her spirit to snuggle in (she had an extensive blanket collection).

Zaki - She's a half-elf battle master fighter. She was once a military officer with a promising career, but after discovering the toxicity behind the scenes, she abandoned that role to join others who wanted to do the right thing. Her campaign is about 200 years after Rivyn's and she used to idolize the (very exaggerated) stories of the now ascended tiefling; she even managed to summon Rivyn to "smite" a corrupt politician (probably the most epic 100 roll I've ever done). Sadly, Zaki's campaign has been on hold for a while, but last she left off was heading into another plane to stop a lich. You know, like you do.

Zephyr - Oh this little gem. Zephyr is a paladin of Shelyn (we incorporate a lot of Pathfinder lore, if that wasn't evident already), who most people believe is an aasimar. And they believe it too, because they were totally left on the temple's doorstep as an infant and not... you know, a newly hatched silver dragon separated from their family who panicked and turned into a human. They grew up surrounded by art and want nothing but to spread beauty and love wherever they go. I haven't gotten far in their campaign, but they are a ray of sunshine amongst a bunch of other nerds who'd rather talk things out than stab a guy.

Megami - We once ran a homebrew D&D game incorporating Shadowrun stuff, because while I love Shadowrun, I hate playing Shadowrun lol Megami is an elven bard (essentially a street shaman) who summons two kitsune to either buff or debuff, depending on what's going on. She dressed like an avant-garde cyberpunk kabuki actress and danced and sing to cast her spells. Her claim to fame was assuming some asshole hospital director's identity (I forget which bard ability it was, but wow did I jump on that) to go live on a broadcast stating that all homophobic/transphobic rules and regulations were lifted - this was a part of some quest we had with a biker gang that were turned down for gender-affirming surgery. It was amazing.

Damianos - my other murder child. He was a human rogue/paladin/sorcerer in a Ravnica campaign we did. He originally was a pirate from Theros, who was then ripped away and plopped into Ravnica, lost a bunch of his memories, and woke up as a Dimir spy. All he cared about was serving himself and trying to find a way back home (bonus points if he could bring his boyfriend with him, another Dimir informant). He was very bursty damage-wise, but quite squishy and had the worst luck with skill check rolls. A lot of "I can do this!" and immediately falling flat on his face. He was like if Jesper Fahey and Trevor Belmont had a kid. Sadly, he did not get a happy ending in that he couldn't break free from House Dimir or go back home, but he's at least got his boyfriend!

Also, not D&D characters, but here are some honorable mentions from other TTRPS:

Hiccups (from Shadowrun) - a human street mage who only became a runner so she could pay off her college debt. She's too pure for this world and the white mage of the group (her only weapon is a taser, I kid you not). Also doesn't do well with gruesome deaths and she earned her runner name due to constantly hiccupping and crying when she did witness an awful death.

Remi (from Vampire) - a Khaibit vampire from the punk rock days of London. She was the bodyguard for a Toreador vampire, specializing in boxing. She was a quick lil' thing who was also good with computers and preferred doodling in her spare time. Barely talked, but that's what her fists were for ;D

Bruce Campbell talks ‘Evil Dead,’ ‘Spider-Man,’ ‘Xena’

The first time Bruce Campbell came across Sam Raimi, they were students at Michigan’s West Maple Junior High School.

“Sam was a year younger than me,” Campbell recalls, “and I remember him dressed as Sherlock Holmes playing with dolls in the middle of the floor. And I remember going way around him. And I found out later that it was Sam Raimi. We didn’t really come into contact until we got until high school.”

What a connection they made. After bonding over D.I.Y. filmmaking, Campbell and Raimi went on to do 1978 shoestring horror-short “Within the Woods” together, which they evolved into 1981 demonic thriller “Evil Dead.”

Campbell would periodically reprise signature “Evil Dead” character Ash Williams in various sequels and offshoots. And appear in Raimi-produced “Xena: Warrior Princess,” portraying slippery “king of thieves” Autolycus on that ’90s-iconic TV fantasy epic.

And then there’s Campbell’s memorable cameos in Raimi’s blockbuster, Tobey Maguire-starring “Spider-Man” film trilogy: the ring announced in the first, 2002 film, “snooty usher” in the 2004 sequel and a maître d’ in 2007′s “Spider-Man 3.”

Of course, Campbell’s made a mark outside that dynamic duo. He drew raves for his portrayal of a nursing-home-bound Elvis Presley in 2002 indie comedy-horror gem, “Bubba Ho-Tep.” Then there’s his role of Sam Axe on USA Network spy drama “Burn Notice.” Not to mention numerous other film, TV, voice acting and even video-game work.

The cult-fave actor will make his first ever trip to Huntsville this week, for Oct. 24 events at Von Braun Center’s Mark C. Smith Concert Hall featuring “Evil Dead” screenings followed by a Campbell-led chat about the film, his life as an actor and beyond. Tickets for these 3 and 7:30 p.m. events start at $32, via ticketmaster.com.

His upcoming projects include a comedy album with actor Ted Raimi, Sam’s brother, called “The Lost Recordings.” Campbell also is readying a book of essays called “The Cool Side of My Pillow,” which finds him riffing on subjects ranging from noise to the environment. He hopes to have both released by the end of this year. More info at bruce-campbell.com. On a recent afternoon, Campbell checked in from his Oregon home for a phone interview. Edited excerpts are below.

Bruce, when you do an “Evil Dead” screening event, do your discussions turn up new things about the film or that you haven’t thought of in a long time?

Every show turns up something new because it puts you on the spot. Someone will say something that will then trigger something that you had forgot. I just sat down the other day before one of these shows with my guy who is my frontman and I was like, “OK, l’m just going to tell the story of making this movie.” It’s not for questions I’m just going to tell you basically what you’re about to see. But yeah, every show triggers some new thing. I’ve seen the movie. I know how it ends. But that is the challenge, finding some new, weird tidbits.

Back in high school how did you and Sam Raimi first bond? Did you share a class or something?

Basically I got into typing class, that’s what started it. I could not believe I was stuck in this stupid class where everyone around me seemed to know how to type. I’m like, “How do you know this?” It was very frustrating. So I went to a counselor for the first time ever – I’d never gone to try to get out of anything.

So I go there and I say, “Hey can I drop this dumb typing class?” She goes, "Yeah, what do you want? I go, “What do you got?” So she comes up with “radio speech.” And I’m like, “Radio speech? Wait they do the morning announcements (at school) and stuff?” and I’m like yeah let me get all over that.

So I got into a class and Sam Raimi was also in the class. And the guy who taught radio speech also directed all the plays. We didn’t know how critical that was. The first year I couldn’t get in anything in my high school. I was auditioning for everything but I didn’t have a class with this guy. By the next year I had a class with him, and then me and Sam were in basically all the plays after that. We found out how the deal worked.

So I met him in radio speech and we’d do the morning announcements together and got to talking about what we do in our neighborhoods. I was making little regular-8 (millimeter film) movies and Sam was making Super-8 movies. So we started to join forces during the course of that high school run, that two or three years in there.

We were very productive. We didn’t really get into trouble because we were too busy like filming parties. We wouldn’t go to the parties we’d film the parties and use them in some way in our little films so it was a great guerrilla filmmaking period.

A celeb or well-known person you were surprised to learn they’re an “Evil Dead” fan?

I heard Charlie Sheen, one of his favorite things was to smoke a doobie and watch “Evil Dead 2,” and Alice Cooper’s favorite horror movie is “Evil Dead.”

If it’s good enough for Alice Cooper it’s good enough for me. You host the quiz show “Last Fan Standing.” What do you make of the mainstreaming of nerd-culture?

Every generation has its deal. In the ’40s most moviegoers were in their 40s and so the actors were in their 40s. Humphrey Bogart and Spencer Tracy and all the guys were in their 40s. You didn’t have to be 21. And then as the audience got younger the actors got younger and the people who run the companies get younger and so they’re really just catering to what’s popular.

Comic books have always been popular but now they’re really popular. Not really sure what that’s all about but yeah social media has certainly helped but I think it’s another form of escapism. Whenever times get weird, people want escapism. During The Depression they did the Busby Berkeley splashy musicals where everyone was happy all the time, when life was really miserable. And some decades where we’re really doing okay, the movies turned introspective and we go after ourselves and figure out why we’re like this and like that. And so I think we’re in a phase where we just want to be taken away to another galaxy and Marvel is very happy to help.

And you’ve been a part of that. In Sam’s “Spider-Man” trilogy, which of your cameos did you have the most fun with?

Well I don’t know it’s hard to lineate because they’re so critical. The first one I named Spider-Man. If I wasn’t in the movie a billion dollar franchise would be called The Human Spider. He wants to get in the theater in the second one, past the snooty usher who won’t let him in because he’s late, because it will spoil the illusion, so I think I’m technically the only character who’s ever defeated Spider-Man. And in part three, a superhero comes to a mortal for help. He wants me to help him propose to his girlfriend so it’s sort of a landmark case where a superhero goes to a mortal for help which is pretty rare. So I can’t delineate because they’re all critical to the “Spider-Man” universe.

Do you have any cool mementos from "Evil Dead or elsewhere from your career? Maybe something like the chainsaw from “Evil Dead 2”?

You know, it’s weird I’m not a hoarder, I’m not a collector. My brother, he has the shotgun from “Evil Dead,” but not because he loves movie trivia, he just likes guns. My brother also has I think the set of keys to the original cabin. That’s a pretty good one. Not sure how he got that one.

I have weirder ones. Like I have a prop from a 1989 movie called “Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat.” I have Van Helsing’s holy bottle where he shakes the holy water at them. And I have what I call my tchotchke shelf, where most people would look at it and they couldn’t identify what importance each item is, but there’s a story for each one.

Some of your favorite actors outside the horror genre?

Oh, I l love a lot of the old time actors. William Holden, he starred in “Bridge on The River Kwai” one of my favorite movies. I like the guys who had to work a lot. In the old days and actor would finish a job on Friday he was under contract, he took two weeks off and started a new movie a couple weeks later. Actors kind of just do one or two movies a year if they’re lucky these days and it doesn’t help them refine their craft.

I feel like the guys who worked a lot got good because they got really used to the process. I’m a fan of the studio system. Not all movies were good and not every actor was happy under the studio system, but I think a busy actor’s a good actor.

For your role in “Bubba Ho-Tep,” what was your process for tapping into Elvis’s vibe?

What guy doesn’t want to be Elvis, you know? So I worked with an Elvis impersonator for about a half an hour and then he gave up on me. He goes, “Look, man, you’re never going to get it.” I’m like, “Wow either I suck or you suck as a teacher but somebody here sucks.”

No, but I watched a bunch of footage and documentaries. There’s a good one, all his Memphis Mafia who worked with him, a filmmaker basically got them all drunk one night and interviewed them all and that’s where the good stories are. You learn a little more of the human side of him. But that’s pretty much it. I’ve never been a stage performer so mercifully there wasn’t that much of it, just in quick flashbacks.

And there’s a part of me, in the back of my mind, I want to know that Elvis' descendants, somebody, a daughter, niece, somebody has watched that movie and approved. We’ll see.

I thought it was a cool creative take on that whole Elvis thing.

I agree. That’s why I did it. It was one of the weirdest scripts I’ve ever read But yet it wraps up though. It has a weird premise but it has a really interesting theme of what do you do with old people. Do we forget these old people? And are they still useful in society, old people? And I thought it had a sweet ending, that these two old guys they kind of rally themselves one more time.

What’s a well-known role you’ve turned down?

Turned down? I don’t have a lot of those. I don’t operate in that rarified air of saying, “Oh I turned ‘Titanic’ down.” I tried to get a part in a studio movie called “The Phantom” and Billy Zane wound up getting the part." And it was down to me and Billy, I was number two for the job, but I didn’t really enjoy the process very much because it seemed more political than actually acting. It was amazing how many people you had to audition for, and you had to go up the ranks and each time it got a little more tense as you move up. So I’m good doing these weirdo little movies.

I read the budget for “Within the Woods,” the predecessor of “Evil Dead,” was a princely 1,600 bucks. What was the most expensive line item, you think?

Food and probably fake blood. Tom Sullivan, who did the special effects, probably needed to mold a few things, so he probably spent a couple hundred bucks on molds. A lot of it was footage because Sam Raimi likes to shoot footage, so we probably bought a lot of rolls of film. And we did go to a cabin to shoot it, so had to get in the car and travel so maybe a little gas money in there too. That’s about it.

What can you tell us about the status of the next installment of the “Evil Dead” franchise?

We’re honing-in, circling the building now trying to lock in a partner. We have a couple of bidders and we’re trying to just find the correct suitor and we have a script written and a director picked. Sam Raimi hand -picked a guy named Lee Cronin, who’s a very good Irish filmmaker. And it’s got a very good modern tale. It’s a modern-day urban “Evil Dead,” it’s called “Evil Dead Rise.” And we’re hoping to do that next year.

You were a producer on 2013 “Evil Dead” remake. What’s the key to making a reboot effective?

Well rebooting can be very confusing and frustrating and not always successful. Reboot, sequel, remake we have all these crazy terms. What we’re doing now is we’re saying," Look, this is another ‘Evil Dead’ movie and that book gets around, a lot of people run into it and it’s another story." The main key with “Evil Dead” is they’re just regular people who are battling what seems to be a very unstoppable evil, and so that’s where the horror comes from. It’s not someone who’s skilled. They’re not fighting a soldier. They’re not fighting a scientist. They’re not fighting anybody more than your average neighbor. This one is going to be a similar thing. We’re going to have a heroine, a woman in charge, and she’s going to try and save her family.

Speaking of a female protagonist, when you’re at a con or meet fans somewhere, who has the most passionate superfans: “Evil Dead” or “Xena”?

“Xena” hits them at an emotional level. Like, they’ll come up to me and Lucy Lawless (the actor who played the show’s title role) and just burst into tears, because her character helped them get through a difficult time. “Xena” is more representative of overcoming your struggles in life. “Evil Dead” fans are pretty fervent but they don’t cry as much.

I just love everything about Junmyeon - his dorkiness, his big heart, how adorable he is, how thoughtful and stubborn he is, his beautiful smile... Everything really 💖 Jinki is so natural and warm and soft... Leo is a sweetheart, so kind and humble and open with his thoughts, and his smile is so beautiful my heart hurts 💘 for Mark, it’s how cute and hard-working he is, and how easy he finds things interesting and funny~ and Leeteuk is just a big, pretty ball of weird who manages to make me laugh at any time~ 💕

5. If you only could listen to one song for the rest of your life, what song would you choose? 

Oh my goodness I can’t answer that (>_<;)

6. If you were able to go on a date with your bias, what would you do and why?

Ahh, well I just started painting with watercolours (I’m truly a beginner but it’s fun so far~), I know enough japanese to understand what’s going on in un-subbed shows, and I really like planning things out but actually doing them is hard (>w<)❣️

I don’t really know... I want to make people happy, of course... I haven’t thought beyond that really, maybe I should do that...

I’m sorry for being so inactive but heres a decently long Spencer x reader because I’m obsessed with Spencer right now. Also I wrote about half of this on my phone so if there are grammatical errors I am sorry. Also I’ve never seen this gif of Spencer so that’s why I put it. It doesn’t really have anything to do with the story.

Warnings: a little angst but fluff ending

“I love you, Y/n,” Spencer confesses.

You smile and reply, “I love you, too.” At those words, Spencer gently connects his lips to yours. You respond with a kiss, equally soft. Almost as if you’ve been waiting for this moment for years, you deepen the kiss and card your fingers through his hair. Spencer’s experience surprises you as his mouth lowers to your neck. The soft kisses on your neck cause you to moan. Missing the sweet taste of his lips, you guide him back to your mouth and lean into him. Unbuttoning his shirt, Spencer-

Snapping out of your dream, you pant heavily as you try to get your bearings. “You did not just have a dream about Spencer,” you think with your head in your hands. Spencer Reid. Your nerdy coworker who you only see and will always see as a brother. He’s your brother, right? Then why did that dream feel so right? Even the imaginary feeling of your hands in his hair felt good. Oh and his lips. Just the thought of them made you melt. You didn’t realize you spent so long sorting out your feelings until your usual alarm goes off. You turn it off and force yourself to get out of bed. You slip out of your pajamas and hop into the shower. Stepping out of the shower, you went through the rest of your morning routine, going through the motions, still distracted by your confusing feelings. Did you like Spencer in that way? 

Walking into work, the first person you saw was, of course, him. Before he could try to talk, you pulled out your phone and pretended to be deeply invested when you walked briskly past him. You could feel his confused and maybe even hurt, look on his face as it burned on your back but you urged yourself to carry on. At your desk, you searched for the drawer that held your piled-up paperwork, from all the impromptu cases. Unfortunately, Spencer sits across from you and it took all your effort to prevent yourself from gazing up at his adorably concentrated face.

When you felt your strength diminishing, you popped up from your chair and walked to the bathroom. You go to the sink and wash your hands obsessively.

“What’s wrong with you and Spencer?” a voice asks you. Startled, you jump back and turn to see JJ.

“Nothing’s wrong, J.” you reply shakily, trying to sound convincing but knowing she could read through your lie.

“Just tell me what’s wrong, Y/n” she pleads patiently.

“Nothing, everything is fine!” you snap. Slack-jawed and taken aback by your sudden rise in temper, JJ starts toward the door. You quickly apologize,“I’m sorry, JJ,” Sighing, you continue, ”I’ve just had a bad day. I didn’t mean to lash out.”

JJ softens and responds, “It’s okay. Just know that if anything’s bothering you, you can always talk to me.” She gives your arm a soft squeeze before leaving the bathroom. You sigh at the thought of dealing with your inner conflict about Spencer and walk out of the bathroom.

Strolling to your desk, you find Spencer staring at you, causing you to quickly look the other way as casually as possible. When you sit down, Spencer opens his mouth to speak when you pull out your phone and dial a number. Luckily she answers immediately and you ask, “Hi, Erica, Do you want to go to lunch?” After a couple moments, you reply, “Okay, great! I’ll see you in half an hour.” You hang up and quickly go to your paperwork. Hoping Spencer would get the message that you were busy, you continue your work.

When twenty minutes of silence pass, you set down your pen and close the case file. Before Spencer could get a word in, you pop out of your seat and grab your purse. Turning your back to him, you exit the BAU which leaves Spencer less confused and very much hurt.

You arrive at lunch early, so you get a table and wait. Only a couple minutes pass before your friend sits across from you. “Now don’t get me wrong, I am very grateful for finally getting lunch. But why, today? Whenever I try to set something up, you turn me down for Spencer.” You involuntarily cringed at his name. She picks up on it and asks, “Is there something wrong with you and Spencer?”

“No, it’s nothing.” you deny vehemently before she could dig deeper.

But it’s too late since she begs, “Please, Y/n, I’m your best friend. Tell me what’s wrong. Also, you can’t keep anything from me.”

Finally giving in, you sigh, “Fine, I had this dream that Spencer and I were together.” Erica raises her eyebrow, still not understanding the weight of the situation. “The thing is, I liked it. The entire day, I thought it was just the dream, but now I realized I do like him, but I don’t think he likes me back.”

“Why not?” she asks in a motherly tone.

“Because Spencer’s not like that. He doesn’t develop little crushes. He probably just sees me as a friend.” you convey sadly.

Erica rests her hands on yours and assures, “Y/n, you are the smartest, funniest, most beautiful girl I know. And by how much you talk about him, I know Spencer likes you.”

“You really think so?” you ask uncertainly.

“I know so. Besides, even if I’m wrong. it seems like you and Spencer have a strong enough bond that you can overcome it.” Erica affirms.

Entering the BAU, you had a new burst of energy since you knew what you had to do. You were playing through how you were going to tell Spencer when you saw him talking to a new agent. At first, you tried to brush it off as friendly conversation, but when she not-so-subtly touched his arm, you couldn’t deny it. Strolling back to your desk, you couldn’t deny the damper their conversation put on your mood. You didn’t have enough time to recover as Spencer sat down in his desk.

He started, “Hi Y/n,” But before he could finish your name, you whirled your chair around to fave your computer, which ultimately caused him to stare at your back, quieting him. A part of you felt bad and knew that you should be mature, but you couldn’t help it. Whenever you looked at him, you thought of his soft lips passionately kissing yours. And whenever you heard his voice, you couldn’t help but hear: I love you.

Being the newest agent on the team, you luckily had the least amount of paperwork to catch up on which allowed you to finish quickly. After turning in the files to Hotch, you grabbed your purse and headed out.

In all the goodbyes, there was one you heard distinctly. “Bye, Y/n.” his voice cut through the others like a blade. To prevent starting anything with him, you wordlessly wave goodbye as you open the doors. Entering the elevator, you see everyone still working, but him. Spencer’s staring at you and even from the distance, you could see the hurt in his eyes. You thought of running out of the elevator to hug him, but your feet couldn’t move and the doors closed.

Spencer’s POV

“Why was Y/n ignoring me,” Spencer inquires to himself as he stuffs his things into his bag “Did I do something wrong? I mean, she didn’t even want to eat lunch with me. Or she coincidentally wanted to go to lunch with her friend. Maybe I’m reading into this too much,” he mutters.

“What are you talking about, kid?” Morgan questions confusedly as he nears the doors out of the BAU.

“It’s just that Y/n has been ignoring me all day,” he explains. “I feel like I did something wrong, but I don’t remember what.”

“Maybe you should ask her,” Morgan suggests offhandedly as he texted Savannah on his phone.

“B-but I can’t.” Spencer stutters.

“Why not, kid?” Morgan shoves his phone into his pocket, suddenly interested in Spencer’s situation.

“No, I know what you’re thinking and it’s not that.” Morgan raises his eyebrow, prompting Spencer to elaborate, “I just, I don’t know what I’d say.”

“Just ask if she’s okay.” Morgan advises and as he starts to walk away he mutters, “I’m sure it’d land a date with her.”

Spencer snaps his head up and asks,“What’d you say?”

“Nothing, see you Monday, Spencer,” Morgan tells and walks into the elevator so Spencer couldn’t see his sly grin. Spencer looks at Morgan suspiciously as the elevator doors shut. He grabs the last of his things and leaves, knowing what he had to do.

Your POV

Hours after leaving work, you hear a knock on the door. It was too late for any delivery, so assuming it’s a neighbor, you swing open the door. Unbeknownst to you, a sad, worried Spencer stood right in front of you. “W-what are you doing here?” you stutter.

“I’m here to ask what’s wrong. You’ve been acting weird all day,” he asks with a concerned look on his face.

“I’m fine, j-just go home before it gets too late,” you try to convince him. You keep avoiding his eyes until Spencer finally had enough. As he steps into your apartment, he grabs you by the hand and makes you face him. A gasp uncontrollably escapes your mouth, causing you to look down. Spencer places his other hand under your chin and makes you look him in the eye. 

“Y/n, just tell me what’s wrong.” he pleads desperately. You see the hopelessness in his eyes and you break.

“I- I’m sorry Spencer. I don’t want to ruin our friendship, b-but I had this dream about you a-and we...we were” you couldn’t let it out. You couldn’t bear to actually say the words so you release his hand and walk further into your apartment.

“What did we do?” Spencer asks patiently, closing the door as he follows you inside.

“W-we were saying we loved each other. Then we s-started kissing which turned into making out a-and I’m sorry, Spencer, I didn’t know I-I thought about you that way, but I don’t know anymore a-a-and I’m sorry because I care about you too much to ruin our friendship because of this. So let’s just forget about it.” you ramble almost incoherently.

“It’s okay, Y/n,” Spencer comforts while rubbing your shoulder soothingly.

“What?” you ask quietly, tears still glistening in your eyes.

“It’s okay because,” Spencer sighs before confessing, “I like you, too.”

“Y-you do?” you stutter, not believing what you were hearing.

“I was scared that you found out and that was why you were avoiding me,” he admits honestly.

You soften and apologize, “I’m sorry for ignoring you all day. I guess I was afraid to ruin our friendship.”

“Don’t be b-because,” Spencer stutters. “I love you,” he confesses.

You smile and reply, “I love you, too.”

My unapologetic review of The Darkest Minds movie!  Sorry it’s so long (Spoilers, obviously)

This is probably the most difficult review I’ve done yet... That reason being that I LOVED the books, they are still one of my favorite series to this day.  However, I saw the movie on Sunday night, and I can’t not post a review of it.  So, I’m sorry Darkest Minds fans, myself included, because we aren’t getting a sequel.  They did not do a good job.

Let me rephrase what I just said, because I have two opinions on this movie.  Whenever there is a book to movie adaptation of something I’ve read, I take my roommate with me to watch, because he offers a “non-reader” standpoint. 

So, as we were leaving the theater, I was on cloud 9.  He was sitting in the car next to me, being very quiet. I knew he didn’t like it and was afraid to say anything so he didn’t hurt my feelings, but I got him to budge and tell me his problems.  So that is why I like the movie, and I hate it.

I like it because this movie was made for me.  I hate it because...this movie was made for me.  The Darkest Minds fans love it because it is so accurate to the books! Is it, though?

The first half hour or so are so insanely accurate that I thought my head was going to explode.  Actually, as far as what we are seeing, the physical scenes, the entire movie was wildly accurate.  But it’s when we start to pay attention to what is actually happening that it starts falling apart. 

So Ruby is in a camp, it’s basically a concentration camp, and she’s hiding as a green.  Okay, but how did that happen?  Well, the doctor that examined her found out that she was an orange, and then Ruby made him change the test.  Yeah...but why is he able to do that?  Why does the computer allow him to manually change the results?  Does the machine sometimes not work? That’s the biggest ex-machina I’ve ever seen! Moving forward, she’s at this camp to be “reformed.”  Clancy was reformed, so she can be too!  Yeah, but 1 kid was reformed, are you telling me that parents across the US actually believe this? Millions of kids in camp, yet 1 was healed.  Wow, what a miracle! Take my kid!

The next problem is the camps themselves.  There was a specific line of narration or something that said “There is no economy.”  That line ruined the movie.  There’s no economy?  How is anything functioning?  The skip tracers, how are the bounties that they collect paid for?  How are the guards paid?  Where does the money that keeps these camps running come from?  If there’s no economy, how does the government pay for all of these camps, the guards, doctors, skip tracers, etc? Speaking of the camps, how are any of them still functioning?  You’re telling me that blues, who can move and control anything, are just...walking around?  Yellows are not restrained?  Blues are not restrained?  As if, those kids outnumber you 100 to 1, the camps would be taken over in a day.  Even in Caledonia, all it took was 1 blue to break the fence, then they are all home free! You’re telling me that it took years for someone to go, “Guys, we should break the fence!” The security is dumb enough to let the kids walk around unrestrained?  There’s no way in hell that any of those camps would have lasted more than a year. 

Also, what are other countries doing right now?  Since there is NO ECONOMY! If the US collapsed, the rest of the world is coming down with us, considering that we have 1/4 of the world’s GDP.  Yeah, no, the world is screwed if America just suddenly decided to shut down. 

But okay, okay, let’s say it doesn’t.  Let’s say by some miracle, the rest of the world is fine.  They would still send resources?  And by resources, I mean people, of course.  They would want to help.  What happens when they come to help, realize that the camps are holding kids against their will and are torturing them?  The UN would immediately step in and stop every single camp.  I’m pretty sure it took the US 3 years to learn about Nazi concentration camps, and that was before the internet!  All it takes is one kid, guard, parent, etc. to find out and post something online, then it would be viral, and the world would be in uproar!  No way these camps last SIX YEARS!

Also this bothered me in the books too.  Why are the guards mean?  Like all of them?  They torture and beat these kids regularly.  Whether they’re scared or not, there is no way every single guard would be totally okay with beating kids, powers or no.  They’re still human, unless they only hire sociopaths to be PSF’s?

Okay, so I have more to say about the lack of world building, but y’all get my point.  Thanks for the socks scene Fox, but that ain’t gonna cut it.  I. Need. Exposition.  We. Want. Exposition!

Now let’s talk about the things they added in that were not in the books. 

Ruby not being white, who cares? Amandla stole the show.  Chubs being green?  Fits his personality better anyways.  The eye color thing?  It’s kind of dumb, because I’m pretty sure that the colors originally came from the defcon color severity system, which is the exact same way as it is in the movies (green meaning good, orange meaning bad).  So were the colors named after the defcon system, or the eyes?  If it was the eyes, then the defcon system just magically matched up perfectly?  I guess...

Anyways, I don’t really care about those changes.. I care about those two scenes, you know the two, that they added in that is just absolute garbage. 

The first scene being when Ruby goes back home after escaping the camps.  It goes exactly how everyone expected, being that Ruby can’t go home because her parents don’t remember her.  Why did they make that scene?  What purpose did that serve?  We knew exactly what was going to happen.  What did SHE think would happen?  Did she forget what she did? Of course she didn’t! That scene was stupid and should not have been a part of the movie. 

The second scene being that...thing at the end with football field and all the kids with paint or whatever.  I talked about this with @itsgalaxy29 and we had similar opinions. What the HELL was that? Those are the kids from East River, I think? Well no, there were not that many kids in East River.  So they were the Children’s League kids? So, movie, you’re telling me that they took kids from their duties, their missions, to go into a football field, not say a word, put paint on their hands and foreheads, and just...stand there? No, I can’t think about that scene for than one more minute without wanting to laugh. 

Next, let’s talk about pacing.  The movie went FAST!  The run-time with credits is 1hr 45min, why did they rush everything then?  That movie could have been amazing if they spent time world building, taken out the dumb scenes, and had the main actors actually learn stuff about each other.  A 2hr 30min movie is pretty common these days, so it’s not like they thought that it was too long.  I did not shed a single tear when Ruby took Liam’s memories.  Why?  Because I didn’t really care about them as a couple yet.  In the books they spend, like, months together!  The movie took place in.... a few weeks?  Sorry Liam, you don’t love Ruby yet.  Actually, you barely know Ruby.  We get no information about Zu and Chubs at all.  Chubs’s only purpose being to say kinda funny jokes, I guess.  Zu is there to lead her to the van and then literally becomes pointless the rest of the movie. The main cast, other than Ruby, gets no exposition whatsoever, and by the end of the movie we are supposed to care about what happens to them, yet we don’t.  Why should we?  We don’t even know Chubs’s last name! 

And finally, because I have already made this review freakishly long: Clancy.  The worst character by far.  In the books he is a troubled bad guy.  He has some semblance of good in him, yet he doesn’t do the right thing.  He’s basically Magneto.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but in the books, it isn’t Clancy’s fault that the camp gets compromised.  In the movie, Clancy has no reason to be the bad guy.  He was tortured by the government and his father for years, and once they ‘cure’ him....he helps them? The movie wants me to believe that Clancy is helping those who tortured him for years.  No.  He is a villain just so the movie has a villain.  We are given no reason for him to be the bad guy.  Why would he compromise his own camp?  What the hell was that harvest thing?  Is this his first ‘harvest,’ or does he do this often?  If he has done it before, how is he able to restart the camp?  Do new kids show up to just Clancy by himself...and stay?  That’s not suspicious at all!  And okay this made me so mad, but Chubs wanted to leave because...they made him work.  Chubs, of course you have to work!  Nothing would get done if the kids didn’t have jobs!  You can’t just sit around all day and do nothing!  The camp couldn’t physically function!

The problem with this movie is that it shows you the ‘what’ and not the ‘why.’ Fans love this movie so much because they get to see their characters doing what they did in the books.  People that haven’t read the books need an explanation as to what is happening and why!  That’s why the reviews are so bad.  They are lost.  They are left wondering what was happening in the last scene, and by then the movie has moved on to the next.  A good movie needs exposition, as to which this movie offers slim to none.  I originally liked the movie so much because I got see Liam, Ruby, Chubs, and Zu doing shenanigans.  My roommate had so many questions as to what was happening that he couldn’t like it.  That’s why the movie was made for me, someone who has read the book.  I don’t need the exposition, I know it already.  That doesn’t make it a good movie. They need to accommodate it to people that haven’t read the book. Otherwise 90% of their audience will be lost, which is what happened.

The book is amazing, if you want to watch the movie, read the book first so you aren’t lost.  I give the movie 2 stars, because a part of me still loves it because I did get to see my faves on the big screen. Thanks to @itsgalaxy29 and @kyrahchey for being willing to talk to me about it! 3. Prince Zuko. I decided to watch Avatar only because I heard he’s got an exquisite character arc, thus I was focusing on him from the begining - and it was the only thing that took me through the otter penguins and stuff, because I was way too old to enjoy it otherwise.

The character you never expected to love so much:

1. ugh, Hux. I’m really side-eyeing myself for this one, as I cringe every time at his speach and the pure hatred oozing from it. I didn’t expect to have any opinion about him at all - I was just “oh, hey, that’s Domhnall! he’s such a great actor! Let’s study every second of his acting.” Then there were jokes about him and Kylo wyying for power and approval from Snoke like two entitled children. And then there were all the meta and background info, and fandoom headcanons, and storytelling excercisses in heel-face turns and redemption possibilities (for the guy who blew up five planets and billions of people/aliens, *side-eyeing myself again*) and AUs... and now here I am, in the pit of doom, very much aware that the version of Hux I’m so obssesed with doesn’t even exist in canon.

2. Roy Mustang. I’m still cackling whenever I think about his early appearances in the Brotherhood. Look, they say he’s competent and he’s boosting about his powerfull flame alchemy, but he fails to use it! he’s constantly either wet or useless, and ends up looking like a fool. And then there’s Maria Ross incident - of all times you’d wish his flames failed! And so he prooves himself to be an angry idiot and a total bastard. Couple episodes later you mutter ‘bastard’ at him in totally different tone. At the end of the series you are rooting for him to become the ruler of the entire country, because he’s the only one with moral ideals and a necessary conscience. Also lots of angst. But really why I love him so much, is exactly because of those dumb moments at the begining and later on - he tries and fails and struggles on his path, because there’s no road map on how to redeem yourself and fix the country, and that’s so f relatable.

3. Pretty much everyone besides Zuko - I really did not expect this cartoon to be so good character- and story-wise, I thought I’d care only about Zuko, and even with him I didn’t fathom the extent of love I ended up giving him.

The character you relate to most:

1. Really, it’s R2D2 and BB8. Sometimes all I’m capable of are *sad beep noises* and arson.

2. In all honesty - Sheska.

3. Suki. It’s the way she speaks with pride about their culture, the obvious care she has for people - and the “answer now, or we will feed you to the Unagi!”

The character you’d slap:

1. After the Last Jedi, nearly everyone. But the director the most.

2.  You know, the villians of course and half of cast here and there too. Ed and Al for rushing into things and failling to talk about feelings, Hohenhaim for parenting, Roy for being occasionally dumb, Maes for not making notes. Isaac McDougall for not talking in a more straightforward manner. For Shou I’d borrow the mechanical arm from Ed.

3. besides villians, I dread to admit this but Aang. I know, he’s a traumatized 11 yo with huuuuge responsibility on his shoulders and really all around loving and compasionate character. It’s just I often don’t like protagonists just for how the story focuses on them, and the combination of Aang’s immaturity, temper (he does get angry quite a bit), and rather clumsily executed love arc with Katara, annoys me and I want to shake him like “get a grip, man!”  

Three favourite characters (in order of preference):

1. Obi Wan Kenobi. Luke Skywalker. Chewbacca. R2D2. Darth Vader. Princess Leia Organa. Ewoks. Huge black hole. and then Hux. BB8. Rey. Poe Dameron still. Kylo is sneaking on me, will see.

2. Roy Mustang. Ling Yao. Riza Hawkeye. Maes Hughes. Scar. Miles. Olivier Mira Armstrong. Lan Fan. Izumi Curtis and hubby. Alex Armstrong. Greedo, Marcoh, chimeras, the list just goes on...

3. Zuko. Suki. Mai. Sokka. Kyoshi. Toph. Iroh. Piandao. Hakoda. Ty Lee. Azula. Teo. June. Longshot. I’m forgetting someone...

A character you liked at first but don’t anymore:

1. Poe Dameron, sigh. After TFA Poe was really close to being my fave character of the newbies. I liked his not so overt sass, his confidence, without being cocky about it, his joy at flying, but also his calm and competence when it came to fulfilling the mission. And his easy going manner and friendliness. He was well balanced and quite unique of a character. But the Last Jedi took him in the direction of a “lovable” cock-sure pistol, and I’m just not charmed anymore. At least there’s still this:

2. I don’t think anyone got a fall from grace, even King Bradley still has some of my respect, tho the nature of it changed.

3. Again, I can’t think of anyone who’d lost my sympathy. 

A character you did not like at first but do now:

1. Luke Skywalker (tho “now” was before the Last Jedi assasinated him). It’s histerical, Luke annoyed the heck out of me in the New Hope, and is still whenever I watch this part. He’s so naive, and inexperienced, and eager, and wannabe-heroic, and pretty much everything I dislike about most protagonists. And then during ESB I got gradually invested in him, and then they cut his arm off, and I was in love in a second. And then he became wise in the RotJ, and I just love him a lot.

2. Scar. He was mostly a terror to be feared and a merciless killer - until he wasn’t. The more you know about him, the more human he becomes, and you wish him some peace and redemption and a kitten for company. I mean, panda.

3. Sokka. Ho boy, how did he annoy me at first, with his sexism, and bragging, and stupid comments. But then he got character growth, and became the strategist mastermind and often the voice of reason, not losing any of his comedic potential, and I love him. 

Three OTPs:

Most of the time I don’t ship characters, but I love the dynamics between Roy Mustang/Riza Hawkeye, the Curtis couple, Ling Yao/Lan Fan, also Zuko/Mai, and Sokka/Suki pairings.

Guys I’m seriously overwhelmed because I got tagged by five people. I still have some meme games queueing up to get done but I couldn’t wait with this one here. So thanks a million for thinking of me and wanting to get to know me better. E – Easist Person To Talk To: I have more than one: my wife, my younger sister and my bestie Indie @indiepjones46.

F – Favorite Song: This changes frequently, but there are songs that stuck with me since my teenage days. My all time favorite is ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ by Elvis Presley. My current fave song is ‘Broken Glass’ from Mayaeni…and guess what? I watched an episode from season two Hawaii Five-O and at the end they played that song. Gosh, I googled it, downloaded it and when ever I sit down and write this song plays on repeat.

G – Grossest Memory: I’m not grossed out that easily. But yes there's this one memory. I worked as a cadet nurse (I don’t know if this is the right word) for my internship (nutritionist). During this time I had to wake up the patients and there was this room with only old men. The first thing they did after they woke up was to cough. Most of them had problems with their lungs, they were mucus-ridden. The sound they made while the slim got coughed up was gross. They spat it out into a cup and handed me the half full cup with yellow/greenish stuff at 7am and the cup felt warm in my hands. I was always at the verge to puke.

H – Horror Yes or Horror No: No. I love me some tension, but real horror is way over the top. I wouldn’t be able to sleep for days.

I – In Love? Yes!

J -  Jealous of People: Yes, of course I’m jealous of people. But I guess this needs definition? I’m jealous in a way that I wish to be able to do something specifically that the other persons are good at. And there is always someone I feel jealous of. But never in a distructuble way. I can easily admit this to the another person: "I’m so jeaous because….or I envy you for this and that" It’s normal and common to feel that way, isn’t it? It think of this as nothing bad, nothing special, it just happens.

K – Karma, do you  believe in Karma?: (The letter K vanished at some point. So I added a new question here.) I did a very long time, but now not anymore. It’s just a way to explain things we don’t understand; it is a way to look for justice where there is none sometimes. I try to just leave it be. I tend to see the world as a grain of sand in the vast, endless space of the universe. I have no fucking clue what is going on and humans can’t grasp this energy in its mighty. I don’t want to be ruled by human laws after my heart stopped beating. So, no, I don't believe in Karma.

L – Love at first sight or should I walk by again?: I believe in love at first sight, definitely a yes here. As I see it love is a force of nature. This energy is always around us and inside of us. We don’t have to build this feeling because it’s just there. I don’t talk about getting to know each other. I talk about just the feeling of love. Love has different levels and different stages of how it feels. I love a lot of people, but there is a huge difference in how deep, how much and what kind of a relationship I share with this person. I even can love my tumblr friends at first sight because they phrased a sentence in a way that pulled me in under one second flat.

M -  Middle Name: Elisabeth

N – Number of Siblings: 1 younger sister and 1 older sister.

O – One Wish: Whenever such a question is asked, there is this one wish that pops up without hesitation. So I just put it here: to live a Life around horses, to be able to ride and to read horses the way Buck Brannaman is able to do it. The yearning to understand these beautiful creatures is huge.

P – Person You Called Last: I don’t like to make phone calls. I’d rather record voice messages on WhatsApp. The last one I recorded I sent to my younger sister. So I ‘talked’t to her.

Q – Question You’re Always Asked: There are actually two questions and they are always the same: „You’re inked?“ and this: „How old are you? No, you’re lying, you can’t be that old.“ So yeah.

R – Reason To Smile: SO many things are able to make me smile: my animals, my wife, tumblr notes, funny English words, Steve McGarrett, Danny Williams, a good show, a bird, a chocolat bar, coffee, my note book, a child, the way I'm dressed….because for the love of God I can’t figure out how to have style.

S – Song You Last Sang: I can’t sing AT ALL. I love to listen to music, but singing?….forget it. I’m terrible at it and I never feel the urge to sing because I can’t find out how you keep a tone. So, no singing at all. I just remember one time, sitting on a spooked horse, on a chilly winter evening, riding alone on my way home, and my horse was skittish as hell and I started to sing; „silent night holy night“ like those four words because I don’t know anything else by heat. I sang it on end with a shaky, squeaky voice to calm us both down. It didn’t work though. LOL.

T – Time you woke Up: Sundays are an exception 6.30. Normally it's 4.30am, every day because I feed the horses at 5am. On Sundays it's my woman who gets up that early. I love mornings and the early hours before sunrise.

U – Underwear color: Black or white, nothing fancy

V – Vacation Destination: It would be Hawaii or a horse ranch somewhere in Montana USA.

W – Worst Habit: My eating habits. I eat to not feel hungry anymore. I actually don’t care sometimes what it is and I don't sit down. I eat while walking, doing stable work, reading, posting. Hmmm, and after work I’m very introverted and I don’t like to talk. I might come across very impolite and distant.

X – X-rays: Only a few and mostly during childhood. My last x-ray was taken from my teeth by the dentist to check if there is hidden caries. I was lucky.

Y – Your Favorite Food: I love Thai food and all sorts of dairy products. I love simple stuff, bread, apples, a soup, a stew. I don’t need much. But I have a sweet tooth.

1. What film or TV show do you wish there was a book for?

Um… I honestly don’t know? Most of the movies and TV shows I really enjoyed were already adapted from books, so…

2. What was your favorite book as a child? The Inheritance Cycle was my jam back in middle school!

3. What’s the coolest book you own? Um, maybe The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick? It’s told half through pictures and I’ve honestly never seen anything like it before (aside from the author’s other books).

4. If you could bring 1 character from any book to life to be your friend/partner/whatever, who would it be and why? Ah my god just one??? Um, first person that comes to mind is Jesper Fahey. He’s just such a hilarious guy. 

5. What bookish world would you like to live in? The world of Septimus Heap!! (surprise?)

6. Worst book you’ve ever read? The Lovely Bones, man. Was just not lovely. At all. 

7. How do you treat your books- do you highlight, dog-ear, annotate, keep pristine, etc? I like keeping them in pretty pristine condition (though some of them have gotten pretty beat up over the years). I don’t really highlight/dog-ear, though recently I have been tempted to start annotating...

8. If you were to write a book, what genre would it be? Am currently in the process of doing so, and fantasy, naturally. 

9. Least favorite character ever? Umbridge. We do not speak of that monstrosity in this household. 

10. What book do you think everybody should read? I can’t really think of anything off the top of my head, since I don’t really think there’s a universal book that everyone will enjoy. I would totally freak out if everyone read Sep Heap though. 

11. If you could have your memories of one book wiped to read it again fresh, which would it be? I actually don’t know. One of my favourite things is going back to a book and having that feeling of nostalgia associated with it. I usually forget most of the plot points anyway, so it feels like reading it for the first time all over again.

1. Who was the last character you related to and what were they from?   Ummmm from the books I’m currently reading, Rincewind from The Colour of Magic. He’s just such a relatable mess of a person. 

2. What’s your favorite genre of music? Whatever genre you’d classify musicals under.

3. Which tags on tumblr do you follow and why? I actually don’t follow any tags! Is that weird? I just regularly search them instead. 

4. Do you have any book related jewelry? Nope, I wish! 

5. Thoughts on booklr being dead? *looks at self* *is not dead* *looks at friends* *are also not dead* Um. 

6. What are some of your favorite picture books from when you were a kid? GREEN EGGS AND HAM! I think I read that books upwards of a hundred times, no joke. Also, If I Were An Ant. I would die laughing every time I read that book. The absolute height of comedy for five-year-old me. 

7. What’s the first book you remember reading or being read to you? Green Eggs and Ham, funnily enough. 

8. What’s you favorite dystopian novel and why? Probably 1984 or The 5th Wave. Not a huge fan of dystopia in general, to be honest. But both of those books make you think. 

9. Where do you get/buy most of your books? The library! 

10. Favorite animal? Ermines and ferrets and pine martens and weasels are very precious creatures. 

11. What book release are you anxious for (one you know the release date for) (yeah that means not Doors or Stone) La Belle Sauvage by Phillip Pullman and Mirage by Somaiya Daud! 

1. What is your favourite TV show/film? Tangled is my go-to comfort film! Could watch forever. 

2. Do you prefer science fiction or fantasy? (Neither?) Fantasy all the way :D though sci fi has recently been growing on me as well. 

3. What is your ‘comfort food’ book, for whenever you’re ill/sad/tired etc? I actually don’t have one! Though usually when I’m feeling that way I just turn to YA contemporary, which I otherwise never pick up. Sometimes you just need a bit of fluff to lighten up your day. 

4. If you could have any magical power, what would it be? Um, does stopping time count? Then I could procrastinate to my little heart’s content. 

5. If you could rewrite any book, how would you change it and why? I would rewrite Flowers for Algernon and take all the stupid “sexual growth” stuff out and fix all the female characters. Then maybe I could actually rate it four stars. 

6. Tea or coffee? But have you ever considered this: both. 

7. If you had the chance to become the ‘chosen one’/hero of an epic story, would you take it? (PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER vs. weight of the world on your shoulders/potential for extreme trauma). Nah, I’d be the comic side-kick who ends up dead. 

8. Hogwarts house? Why you gotta as me questions I don’t even know the answer to? Slytherin? Ravenclaw? The universe is not ready for the answer. 

9. Least favourite book trope? Too many. Instalove is pretty high up there. 

10. If you could dress up as any character from books or other fiction (not taking actual costume making skills into account), who would you choose to dress up as? Eponine! Or Marcia Overstrand! Or Lucy Gringe! I don’t know!!!!!! 

11. What is your favourite dessert? Anything with chocolate crammed in there in, like, four different ways. 

1. Favorite non-fiction book? Those Matt Ridley books. I know I keep talking about them whenever non-fiction comes up, but I don’t think I’ve read more than five non-fiction books total in my life outside of school. 

2. A trope that you can’t help but love? The rag-tag bunch of characters that eventually become a found family. How can you not love it??

3. Choose your fighter: the classic authors edition. (Who’s your fave and why?) Vicky Hugo! 10/10 fighting power. Will put his enemy to sleep with his deadly ability to describe parisian sewer systems and the battle of waterloo for hours on end.

4. Favorite art movement and/or artist(s)? I’m gonna be honest, I don’t know shit about art. But I really love the whole photorealistic thing going on - is it a movement? who knows - whatever it is, it’s very cool <-- actual artistic terminology right there

5. Do you watch book adaptations? If yes, which are your favorite ones? I loved The Princess Bride! And A Series of Unfortunate Events was done really well too. 

6. Wanna rant real quick about something? (I know you do.) Okay, so, I’m currently reading The Map of the Sky and guys, this book is so good. The writing is perfect, the plot is brilliant, the characters are great (did I mention two of them are H.G. Wells and Edgar Allan Poe???). I haven’t loved a book this much in so long. So please go read The Map of Time, then pick up The Map of the Sky. Then come to me. And scream away. It will be great.

7. Which book/series you want everyone to read and why? SEPTIMUS HEAP! It is everything! I just want to have more people to yell with about it. There is a kid who seals a deal with a dark force with a freaking liquorice ring. Characters who go through awkward goth phases and I-want-to-kidnap-certain-people-to-validate-my-worth phases. Just read it!

8. New releases or backlist books? Backlist books! They’re 99% of the books I read.

9. What would you like to see more of in books? Diversity and trope subversion! I’m here for both. 

10. Your favorite childhood tv show/cartoon? Arthur! That show was the best.

so, you're doing the angsty couples thing, right ?? have you done kenna/val yet? i need some

I could do one more, yeah! I would LOVE to do Kenna/Val, they’re my faves. Send me a Choices couple and I’ll answer angsty questions about them!

Do they have a lot of arguments? They bicker a LOT, mostly about Val being bored with Queenly duties, and Kenna’s usually inclined to find it endearing. But sometimes the stress of ruling gets to them both and they just...explode on one another. (An odd but noteworthy thing about this is that whenever the Queens are fighting, it always seems to be raining in Stormholt)

Who apologizes first, and in what way? Val, almost IMMEDIATELY, she and Kenna can’t go three seconds without being on good terms with one another, it eats Val up inside.

Who has more insecurities? Kenna’s insecure about Val being happy as a fellow Queen, she’s always worried that the stress of ruling will drive Val away, when literally nothing ever could drive Val away from the woman she loves.

Who gets more riled up? Kenna LOVES riling Val up against something, like going to a party just to spite someone who invited them to a different party on the same night, but Val loves doing it to Kenna even more. “This backwoods moron in this kingdom is being cruel to their people and says they want to kill you and use black magic to bring back Azura.” “How dARE THEY! ASSEMBLE A SQUADRON TO LEAVE WITH ME AT ONCE!” Val says that righteousness looks good on Kenna. She’s not wrong.

How do they hide their pain when they’re upset? Kenna hides it behind diplomatic smiles and a sharp tongue when necessary Val is outright furious, she stomps everywhere and practically breathes fire at her soldiers.

Who tries to make up first? Val. Again, she and Kenna can’t go five minutes without putting their hands on each other but it’s worse for Val. She spent so long assuming when the battle was over, she or Kenna or both of them would wind up dead, or Kenna would choose someone else, after all, so now that they’re together, Val wants to spend every moment with Kenna.

Would they hate-fuck if they were mad at one another? Sometimes, I feel like, maybe? They could use it as a way to burn off those more intense feelings so they can have a calm conversation after. 

Do they hold grudges? Val looks like the type to hold grudges and they expect her too, but actually, she’s pretty chill with most things. Kenna on the other hand...she NEVER FORGETS.

Is there something big that could potentially tear them apart if it was revealed? At this point, nothing, those two are thicker than thieves, the only thing that could separate them is death. (And I refuse to think about THAT)

If something already happened to tear them apart, what would make them come back together? All they would need was to be alone with each other for a few moments and they’d fall all over themselves apologizing and throwing themselves at each other.

What’s their favorite pastime when they’re upset? Val likes taking things to the sparring ring to beat out her frustrations, sometimes she and Jackson will meet up and just spar for a couple hours, neither of them saying a word. Kenna throws herself into diplomacy as a kind of coping mechanism. But also, they like to curl up on the rug in front of the fireplace and nap together, forgetting about their worries for a while.

Who do they confide in when shit hits the fan (besides each other)? Kenna will always confide in Dom, about everything, they have no secrets from each other. Val doesn’t really particularly enjoy talking about her feelings, but if she does it with anyone, it’d be Raydan or Jackson. The three of them are quite the trio of friends.

Is it hard for them to talk about their feelings openly with each other? It doesn’t come easily to Val but she’s willing to do whatever it takes to make Kenna smile, and it doesn’t hurt that it feels incredible to say things like ‘I love you’ a thousand times a day.

Who grieves more when the other is away? They both feel intensely about the other being away but in different ways. Val is foul tempered whenever Kenna is away, and Kenna borders on morose when Val is off doing something away from her wife.

Who misses the other more, or really thinks about them more? They both literally cannot stop thinking about each other when they’re traveling away from one another, luckily they’ve got the practice of pushing those thoughts away during difficult situations so they can focus and get out of those situations and get back to each other.

Do either of them have a special item (an article of clothing, a necklace, a book) that they use when they miss the other? Their wedding bands, for the both of them. Kenna has two identical bands, one she wears on her finger, but one she wears on a chain around her neck just in case. The one around her neck isn’t her size, it’s Val’s. It’s like taking Val with her when she goes. For Val, it’s still the wedding band, but in a different way. Val’s wedding band was made with the same batch of metal that the forge used when making Kenna’s sword before the battle against Azura. So Val can twist the ring and imagine she’s with Kenna, perpetually by her side.

Who cries more? Val doesn’t like crying so she refuses to do it, and Kenna doesn’t cry often either, but you bet your ass when they’re fighting gets really bad they slam a door between them, and the both of them slide down against the door and cry.

Do either of them have the other’s stuff lying around their house? Val leaves her shit EVERYWHERE and it should drive Kenna crazy, lord knows the chambermaids who attend to her rooms despise it, but she actually finds it endearing.

Do they tease each other while in a fight (whether it be with themselves or just general teasing)? Almost always, Kenna has been known to literally charm Val out of an argument with the right bat of her eyelashes.

Do either of them have any vices? Kenna has an incurable vice of Being The Hero. It’s infuriating.

What’s the thing they miss most about each other? Kenna misses the strength Val’s presence lends her, the unwavering support and loyalty. Val misses Kenna’s tenacity, no one else can quite keep up with her.

What’s their go-to breakup/angst song? ...Again, lute music??? (I have no clue)

Who’s more jealous? Neither one of them gets jealous at all, unless Val’s drunk and King Tevan is hogging Kenna’s attention and has been ALL NIGHT, KENNA, THIS IS NOT FAIR, GO AWAY PRETTY BOY! (They’d been waiting to see how long it would take Val to come over there herself.)

Who is the first to forgive? Kenna and Val are tied for this one again, they can’t stand being in a fight with one another.

Who would take longer to let go? Kenna NEVER forgets anything, just ask Dom.

Which is more afraid of confrontation? Neither one of them is afraid of it. They beat Azura, what do they have to be afraid of?

Who’s the first to distance themselves (if either)? They hate distance. Distance is their arch nemesis, they hate it so much.

Who’s more patient? Kenna can be patient if needed, but Val will throw a tantrum if you even suggest that she be patient, it drives her crazy. She likes to be moving at all times.

Who’s the first to blame themselves? Kenna, she’s used to taking the weight of the world on her shoulders and Val likes to be the one to remind her that it’s not always necessary, that she can help her bear that burden.

Who’s more likely to do something out of spite? Kenna, easy. Val’s more likely to just straight up punch you in the face.

Who would be the first to say they hate the other? Nope, never, ever, ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER in a thousand years. Not even on their very worst days or in their very worst fight. Never.

Who worries more? Val plays it off but she’s a big worry wart, especially when it comes to Kenna’s safety.

What scent reminds them of the other? Kenna smells like a rainstorm, like the good ones that leave you feeling clean and new, and she smells a little like something sweet baking in the kitchens. Val smells like woodsmoke and a forest in the winter, like underlying strength.

Do they have any regrets (regarding the other, or just in general)? None at all, if maybe the fact that they couldn’t have met sooner.

Who’s quicker to walk away if a situation gets heated? Val, but she comes RIGHT BACK.

Who is more prone to anger? Val can get irritated pretty easy, but Kenna’s anger is more intense.

Who cries more in an argument? Neither of them cries during their arguments unless it’s something REALLY really bad.

Does it take a lot for it to get to the point of yelling? Oh yeah. They might snap and chide each other but you know it’s not a serious argument unless they’re yelling.

Who sleeps on the couch after an argument? They always end up in the same bed after a fight, no matter what.

Who’s more likely to protect the other? I would say a tie, but that’s a lie. It’s Kenna. Val’s constantly torn between thinking it’s hot and thinking it’s ridiculous.

If one of them gets injured, who worries more? Val, oh my GOD, you should have seen her after the battle against Azura when Kenna collapsed into the bed, Val was sure she needed a medic and was dead or something and woke up half the castle screaming about it. (Kenna was just really really tired, she was fine.)

Who would be more afraid of the other’s death/harm? Val, she can’t imagine living without Kenna. Kenna can’t either, but she knows she’d die before letting any harm come to Val.

Who ends up yelling first? Surprisingly, Kenna. If Kenna starts yelling that’s the indicator this is gonna be a BAD one.

Who would be more likely to save who? Kenna, hands down, but Val’s way up there on the life-saving meter.

Who stays up at night brooding? Kenna sometimes stays up pouring over maps of the Five Kingdoms, the weight of all the hopes and dreams and lives of every single person who lies on that map haunting her.

Who has more dreams/nightmares about the other? Kenna has a lot of awful nightmares about losing all of her friends, but the very worst ones are the ones where she loses Val and Dom. Val has some similar dreams that she never talks about, no matter what.

Who comforts who after a bad dream/event? Kenna’s usually the one who had the bad dream, so it’s Val who sleepily draws her close and puts Kenna’s hand over her heart so she can feel it beating through her skin, every beat and every breath reminding Kenna that Val is there and isn’t going to leave.

Do they think about each other a lot? These two can’t stop thinking about each other, like EVER. It’s the whole Unstoppable Force thing.

If one of them were to come back after a long time, who would come to who? It could be either one of them coming back to the other after a long mission away, but it’d be the happiest of reunions. There’s always a feast when the two Queen’s reunite.

BTS WINGS TRILOGY TOUR NEWARK, NJ MARCH 24th REVIEW

Okay, so I couldn't not attend my first BTS concert without posting a review, so here it is. This was my experience at the Wings Trilogy Tour at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ for their second night, March 24, 2017.

I wanna start off by saying that I was lucky enough to have gotten a pit ticket, and a Golden wristband. So I was extremely fucking close. Like I could smell them close. At least for the later half of the concert when they moved foward. I still have butterflies. It was my first time seeing them, I spent almost a grand all things considered, and had a miserable time trying to actually make it there, but it was so SO worth it.

I was in the wrong line for a while thanks to someone's misdirection so I was near the back when I first got into the venue (though I later managed to squeeze my through a bit more). The boys opened up with 'Not Today.' If I stood on my tiptoes, I could see their heads. "Twas lit.

About halfway through their set, I was thrown for a freaking loop when BTS came to the closer stage. I was less than 15 feet away from them at most. I guess most of the other girls knew they were coming but I didn't, and I lost my shit.

As a Jimin stan, I remember 'Lost' the most. He was wearing a red sweater looking adorbs, sweaty, and oh so grateful as he smiled, threw his head back, and closed his eyes after the song. I tried to make eye contact with him when we were lit up, but don't think I ever did, his eyes seemed to flit everywhere too fast. He was unfortunately on the other side of the stage for 90% of the remainder, but at one point I'm pretty sure they weren't even doing any choreography, he came to stage left and did a running kick type of thing and just stuck his ass out to our side of the crowd. Cue coronary. He blew me away during spring day, he really is just like a piece of dust flating in the wind. He is fucking art when he dances, this look of complete calm fall over him and he just MOVES and ugh... you had to have been there. Also, I screamed "PARK JIMIN" about 700 times, and I know he noticed at least once bc he smiled real big and then looked away shyly. Jungkook noticed at one point too, and also smiled. I know they didn't know where it was coming from, but I hope they both knew just how loved he is. When Jimin asked us "do you like it?" you know my ass was losing it. I wish SO badly that I could have seen more of him, precious babe <3

From where I was stood, I got to see Jungkook and Rapmon the most, which is fab because they are pretty much my secondary biases. It feels like Rapmon never left our side of the stage. Out of everyone, I could tell how grateful he was. They all were, amazingly so, but he just got this look of being blissfully overwhelmed and enraptred in his fans to where he would cheese really hard and close his eyes and just take it all in. Whenever the lights shined on us, I made sure to dance as hard as I could and show him how thankful I was and that I was having a good time. He pointed at me (or I tink it was me) and we made eye contact at least twice. I felt most attuned to him during the whole thing, and just remember wanting him to know how thankful I saw. I screamed "gomabseubnida" so many times when he said 'thank you' to us. He taught us how to say 'together' in Korean, talked about how we were just like the rainbow we made for them (the Rainbow project was amazing btw, the girls were so so nice and it turned out beautifully), that it didn't matter what color we were, and that the music transcended language. I was 3 seconds from bawling.

As for Jungkook I was lucky enough to have accidentally chosen the side of the stage he stayed on all night. Might just be wishful thinking, but I feel like we made eye contact like 18 times. He did way more fan interactions than I thought he would, I can hardly recall his eyes leaving the audience once. He was forever smiling and nodding at us like he was so happy that we showed up, and that he was so proud of certain lyrics we were able to pronounce. He was so close and so pretty I just gaped, certain that he wasn't real for the majority of the set. I saw that tongue-pointed-in-the-cheek thing he does multiple times right up close. Clean up on aisle my panties. Toward the end, he stole a fan's bomb and played with it, it was really cute. He also somehow ended up with an Iron Man plushie?? lol. Also, I GOT TO SEE JUNGKOOK RAP. It is an experience I highly recommend. YOU MUS BE KIDDIN ME/YOU-YOU MUS BE KIDDIN ME

And J-Hope. Oh my fucking God. That boy SHITS charisma, I have never been so enamoured or charmed in my life. He was working so hard you'd break a sweat just looking at him. He put on a SHOW. It was honestly worth it just to see Hobi in action. You might think you know Jung Hoseok from videos and interviews, but you don't know the HALF of it until you see him perform live. At one point he was vibing with the crowd so hard, saw us dancing, and that boy whipped his fucking water bottle at us, splashing everyone and giving us life. The crowd gave the love straight back to him. He was the life of the party and everyone knew it. The way he stuck his fucking tongue out during 'Dope,' don't get me started.

Yoongi's voice commanded attention. When he talked, the whole place went silent, everyone hanging on his every last word. I lost my voice twice bc of him, once during Cypher bc I was cheering for him going so hard and once when he told the crowd to scream louder and louder. You could tell his own voice was starting to get fucked up, he sounded rough and husky as hell, OH MAN.

Jin's solo performance was one of my faves, his singing voice has improved so much. I don't get how people say Jin is underappreciated, he got so much love, and people screamed their lungs out singing along to 'Awake."

Because of my position in the crowd, severe dehydration (I missed all of 'Stigma' to be escorted to a water vendor :() and my rapt attention to my biases, I didn't get to see to much of the other boys. They were all fantastic though, and I paid them my full attention whenever one of them was talking. As a unit, their English improved a million fold, I can tell they've been studying really hard. Rapmon in particular could pass for a Native speaker no questions asked, even moreso than normal.

Judging by the fan cheers, Taehyung and Yoongi were the most popular (I had to hold my ears closed to stop from rupturing something lol). No surprises there, though I did expect Jimin to get more love than he did. Maybe he is only one of the most popular in Korea?? Idk. I just had trouble finding people in line who stanned him. People did (myself included) go batshit crazy for 'Lie' though. Merch wise, there were a whole fuckton of people wearing Jungkook stuff. Everyone loved Hobi too, ultimate resident bias wrecker he is.

The live band remixes were stunning and well-executed. People flipped shit. BAPSAE!

They released the last part of The Wings skits, and people cheered but I was just confused AF. I was like "okay, time to go home and watch 13 hours of fan theories."

People seemed drained by the time encour came around, and the boys kind of did as well, but there was an overall feeling of mutual thankfulness and a job well done. Part of me wanted to kick some people for not openly enjoying themselves more, especially when the band could see us. I hope I did my part to physically show them the good ass time they were showing me. No offense to anyone, everyone has fun differently. I just personally prefer to turn the fuck up :p

Overall, most surreal experience of my life. The location could have been better, but the people were great and the performance was something you only see once in a lifetime. I'll never forget that day for the rest of my life. It was a riveting, emotional, whirlwind experience that ended way too quickly. They say money can't buy happiness, but I dare you to find me frowning anytime soon, real talk. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I GOT DIRTY WATER ON MY FACE-U!!! (X-posted here and here)
