Danny works for the JL as a engineer and is the guy that always seems to 'know a guy' for all types of situations.

It's starts with either the Teen Titans or the YJ needing something silly/dumb and it later spirals into "but who reads [insert dead language or alien language here] its impossible!"

Danny' working nearby and sees it: oh! That's [name of language] I know someone. If you don't mind them being a little... ghosty."

When something big bad death/powerful realted happens later though. Danny is helping repairs on the JL tower, Constantine is there talking about maybe summoning a powerful protector spirit that had defeated the Ghost King a while back, someone jokelying and tiredly asks Danny if he knows anyone who can help.

"No..." Danny gets silent for a moment, stares at them before saying as he transforms "I am the guy this time."

also. i was going to ask this before but i didnt know how to word it: any zelda tropes you like/dislike? stuff like fairies being guides for link or the concept of sages/Legendary Sword or how link and zelda are always depicted or reoccurring characters like impa or beedle or epona. though theres probably not. a lot of tropes considering most games are vastly different from each other. uhh yeah if youve got nothing . things that were done from a zelda game that you liked?

Number one has got to be making link into a super special boy for basically no reason!!! being from a special type of knights is. so irrelevant to everything else about alttp link that I think a lot of people legitimately forget this. it barely ever comes up and it's honestly not that important to the story except as an excuse for why link's the only one that can grab the pendants and pull the master sword, which. why not just have him be the one to do this because he's just really determined? Ocarina of Time...tried this, sort of? almost completely irrelevant AGAIN. in twilight princess and wind waker they are just some guy basically and this is the best direction they could have gone with his character. except they ruined it in botw and ss and I will neverrrr forgive them for this. botw link beats up grown men at five years old he's like superbaby instant knight and I HATE it. it's just stupid. I don't even care that it applies pressure to him as a character and seems to affect him; they could have just made it an in-universe lie and it would have had the exact same effect so genuinely screw that trope

Because it's been beating me up for the past few days and I gotta share the agony.

As for Wukong, he can interact with small and lighter objects! Stuff that fits in his hands and isn't more than a couple pounds he can lift, and he can interact with most objects to some degree if he chooses, and theyre not too large/heavy for him. Like uhh...if a cat could move the object, he could. If a cat couldnt, he probably can't.

He can also be fully incorporeal, phasing through things. He doesn't do it super often though, and actually engages in surprisingly few "ghosty" abilities, and usually acts relatively "normal" whenever he can. He can float, but walks most places.

All his senses still work, he can feel and smell and all that. He can't eat, but he can taste! Seen here after discovering a peach stash. (His love of them was not forgotten.)

as it is literally night while im writing this(totally not the only time actually free in my room/desk and go through my mess of thoughts) , i was thinking deeply about a logan (voice) hc that i decided to share here. im not too sure if this was talked about already a LONG time ago but feel free to let me know :D

mainly, it revolves around if he gets comfortable enough and decided to talk around other people besides hesh & elias, because well, social gatherings are scary. but even between elias & hesh, i feel as though he really just uses sign language unless its in a place he truly feels comfortable in talking in.

but getting more into the mans voice, i feel as though he mainly speaks in a whisper, or if anything is a soft speaker. a soft speaker with a raspy, soothing voice with a bit of an accent if we add ur head cannon of hesh & logan being of mixed race bc of mama walker ! (if we add in the (multilingual) hc from my first/second ask, his voice would of course be with a way more deeper accent.) and the reason why i chose him being a soft spoken speaker was mainly cause the walkers kinda generally have a soft spoken voice when theyre not yelling :). (i noticed that when i watched a 4 hour play through for the second time to really analyze the characters for fun.)

now, if we really think about it, his voice is pretty good to fall asleep to and is generally shocking(but not like keegans…his is a whole ‘nother story like your post on it lmao.). and if we add how hes a menace, its something that really catches you off guard when the usually quiet guy is talking so lowly of you with a soft raspy voice.

but ofcourse if we talk about all the ghosts here, hesh would be the main contributor to have him talk more, as the supportive older brother, with elias also following in. not too sure what the other ghosts would do besides surprised pikachu face or being excited over the fact logans starting to get comfortable with them cause i know that shit took long.(i feel like some walruss moments may also happen...)

Yes, I agree. Depends on the people he's talking to AND the environment. Like the mess hall? No thank you. Just chilling in his room with Hesh? He'll talk his brothers ear off. (Funny scenario, a Ghostie becoming very confused when they hear two people talking in a room when there's only Logan+Hesh in there because they outright forget Logan's not 100% mute. No briancells for these guys.)

Oh, fun fact, and a less mentioned HC I have, I like to give Logan a tablet for speaking when he encounters people who don't know ASL. Has quick words button but also a place he can just type. And sound effects! He fucking loves the sound effects. I have this HC because he seems to just have a tablet on him a LOT in the game, so why not for speaking purposes?

You and me be shaking hands over combing the game for details lmao. Though tbh I didn't think to focus specifically on their voices, so I now have a reason for another playthrough! >:D

Logan speaks like he's doing asmr lol. But less joking, yes yes, very much I like. I like think Logan might have some gravel in his voice, but unlike Keegan (Majority gravel+bass) his is more raspy than gravely. (And his voice isn't as deep.)

Elias and Hesh being around could be what helps Logan acclimate to speaking around the Ghosts more. They're "safe places" for him, so it could start with him talking to them specifically around the Ghosts, which then transitions to him speaking to the other Ghosts directly.

I think Keegan, being similar in the sense that he's quiet (but not as quiet at Logan) would be the first Logan really speaks too. Which is absolutely something Keegan would love to brag about. He's the favorite after Elias and Hesh and the rest of you can SUCK IT! It's also a tell of how comfortable Logan is with Keegan. He's an outlier because he's not only the first Ghost Logan gets comfortable speaking to, he's also the record holder for how quickly Logan starts speaking to someone. Which may or may not have something to do with the crush Logan has on him.... ehehehe.

OH MY GOD OH MYGOD GET READY FOR MY LARGE RAMBLE ON GHOST FIRE DEKU so i imagine his quirk is similar to the japanese folklore spirits onibi the will o wisps :D hes a ghost because well he had to have his heart unbeat anymore telekinesis from his mom but its stronger fire breathe from his dad but theyre all ghosty HEHE in a sense that he can only breathe out fire and when he floats he sometimes leaves trails of fire but he cant use it like a todoroki way his fire also eats away energy but it still hurts the person like an actual fire and he uses that energy for his telekinetic abilities but his fire isnt hot its cold his fire heats him up on the inside though AND ITS GREEN HE HAS GREEN FIRE his telekinesis is also stronger than his moms he can pull and move more larger objects with his ghost part he can disappear and "possess" objects but its really a mix of his ghost and telekinesis abilities he cant do that to people though i imagine his hero name would be onibi or will o wisp or green wisp something along the lines of that - @unofficiallyswizzy

*i feel like these are mostly explanatory of WHO these are, cept maybe Betty- but i will give a short description for them all! cause i find it fun!!! *okay okay soooo

*napstablook: napstablooks well napstablook, theyre still sorta the same, cept they are now a bit more solidified, this is due to (in this au) ghost monsters will often take a bit more of a form closer to how they looked when alive when they feel stable, if a ghost is severely upset they will start to lose this form, majority of the time napstablook is more joyful due to them being reunited with mettaton, but when the fact mettaton is technically part of a revolution, he will often start "melting", and gaining more ghosty features, same will happen when he faces confrontation or meets someone new, or if you ingeneral scare or upset him *Mk: left hand of the head of the royal guard! or whats left of it, though the royal guard doesnt face humans anymore they do fight against the revolutionists... or more just try to keep peace, most of them arent the type for fighting, they prefer to play monsterball instead- And mk is the best at playing monsterball

*Betty: the inn bunny kid (or atleast inspired by the inn bunny kid) , leader of the revolutionists- or atleast their celebrity representitive heheh, their alot like mettaton with undynes attitude, their loud, bossy, and wish to squish any humans to dust

*Chara: The reason asriels a scientist, due to azzy wishing to bring em back, and after azzy found out chara has been tied to frisk soul hes dedicated his existence to creating a way to disconnect them from it while keeping them alive, so far hes only found a way to make them visible to all, and currently, chara is in a mute state though they do make sounds in a tinker bell type fasion

ok. ao. ive unlocked most of the map now. and i think im getting into endgame territory. based on the storyline and the op items im getting now.

uh. so i killed that first dreamer. so im just going to stick to the path and keep killing dreamers even though its making me really sad :( i just got to the top of watchers spire and. this one rlly hurt. at least spiders were scary. watchers is in the top of my fav city and theres a little telescope where u can see where she looked thru. and then you see her lying peacefully on the bed which is what freaked me out last time too. and to make matters worse they stuck one of the little scared guys up there to make you really feel like a monster bc its a reminder that some of them dont even want to fight you why are you fighting them? i think i was always destined to be the villain of this story

AND ON THAT NOTE. CONFIRMATION ON ALL THE LITTLE HINTS ABT HOW YOURE NOT EXACTLY THE GOOD GUY HERE. OR AT LEAST YOURE CAUSING A LOT OF PAIN IN THE MEANTIME. UH. DREAM NAIL. SO I GOT A CHARM THAT CHARGES DREAM NAIL FASTER. im like huh. what the hell is that for. all the things i use the dreamnail on are stationary? but im like oh of course! i need it to charge faster if i can use it on normal mobs. so i excitedly equip the charm to go see what cool tech this dream nail does on mobs.

the tech is psychological horror. i can now read everyones thoughts. hooray. so far ive had two results for mobs: 1) horrible pain 2) horrified confusion and immobility. cause. turns out. the coreopsis point. was actually. going to get answered. theyre. the orange eyes and aggressiveness is partially Planned. theyre all asleep. the sleep wasnt just the dreamers. its all the citizens of hollownest. to contain the infection they wove some sort of spell that put all infected in a pseudo slumber that repels anyone from trying to come in. theyre unwitting defenders of outsiders who may venture too deep and unknowingly spread the disease. either intentionally or by accident, theyre the perfect defense. agonized and aggressive because of it they lash out to anyone and keep curious wanderers away.

this was at least part of the sacrifice. i havent dream nailed everyone yet but i know thwts part of it. my next step is to dream nail the unnerving beast in the dusty underground area. the area with the pale king. who is the pale king? i donated at least. there were inscriptions that described a sacrifice. what sacrifice? there were corpses everywhere of bugs wearing robes id never seen before. what did they do? who is the white knight corpse that i cant stir with the dream nail? whats behind the door? they were instrumental to containing the plague. what did they do?

ALSO I BEGAN TO SUSPECT THE ORANGE DUST WASNT JUST INFECTION RUNNING WILD BC THE FIGHT I GOT STUCK ON IN THE SPIRE WAS SUSPICIOUS. THE ROLLY DEFENDERS? THEY WERE BEING SPECIFICALLY REANIMATED BY THE CLOUD OF ORANGE DUST ABOVE TO DEFEND THE DREAMER. THAT WAS SUSPICIOUS. THEY WERE BEING CONTROLLED, POSSESSED. THATS NOT JUST ILLNESS. THATS CONSCIOUSNESS AT PLAY

OK im gonna go a bit more in depth about characters/plot that i cant really put into drawingz. plz enjoy

(major spoilers for the first 3 professor layton games and pretty much everything in ace attorney. ill keep out of huge spoilers for the prequel pl games because i know you havent played those yet ghostie!)

to preface: ive never played plxaa and i dont know what happens in it but the idea of layton in a courtroom and phoenix solving puzzles really tickled me so i wanted to like do that but as a whole thing

i really dont know how to word this correctly but the plots for each games are essentially the same just told in different ways (as layton youd be solving the crimes in court instead of out on the street using puzzles and the same for phoenix but like the opposite) i briefly entertained the idea of layton having to solve a puzzle to get someones testimony but since its a complete swap it doesnt make sense for both layton and phoenix to be solving puzzles in different situations. still really good though

while the plots are the same theyre toned down a lot for layton (lost future isnt clive trying to destroy london because his parents died he like… killed the prime minister because his parents died) and more extreme for phoenix (i dont have an example really but the first game would probably be more about the von karmas/miles with professor layton type stakes. like a mech or something)

thats the basics for the stories i wont go into specific games because this would be very long and id only talk about lost future, the best game

laytons original motivations for becoming a defense attorney are spoilers for miracle masks entire plot so i wont go into it but claire was also a big motivator for that. her trial went down awfully and layton was already looking into law so that was probably what solidified that motivation. hes still the same character overall though, hes just a gentleman

luke is.. literally just the same character except he was an important witness in laytons first big trial & then went on to become his apprentice you know how it goes from there

i cant go into anything about descole so instead ill touch on floras character. the lawyer layton (working title) stories would be played out chronologically (spectres call to lost future) layton adopts her halfway through his career and she tags along to crime scenes a lot, much to laytons dismay

im gonna make a stark decision and say layton either gets disbarred or retires not long after lost future (he keeps adopting kids during his career and at some point he goes “hmmm maybe i should take care of them”) katrielle wants to follow in her fathers footsteps so she takes on an apollo-like role and becomes a defense attorney. yeah this means phoenix is the one who goes missing

phoenix is an arts professor! i lean more towards drawing instead of theatre but also it doesnt really matter. he never found out what happened to miles all those years ago so he didnt do any drastic career changes. hes very fond of puzzles but sometimes he would like people to give him information without having to solve a puzzle first

you guys remember andrew schrader? no? cool thats who mias swapped with. she stays alive and probably teaches something cool like criminology. i dont think she really tags along on adventures but shes a good friend to phoenix

maya is also essentially the same character. obviously since mia doesnt die im gonna say she lives with her but whenever phoenix finds himself wrapped in a new mystery shes immediately by his side

miles is interesting: his father was an avid puzzle solver, and he shared the same affinity for them as a child. hes also the reason phoenix is so fond of puzzles today. he still…. sort of enjoys puzzles as an adult. but its definitely something hes embarrassed about thanks to manfred drilling it into him his whole childhood that puzzles are dumb or whatever. you know how manfred is. 

he used to give phoenix hints for free as a kid but he REFUSES to give any hints as an adult, even when offered hint coins (all his unlocked hints would be some degree of “too difficult for you, wright?” or something. i dont know dialogue but hopefully you get the gist)

ghost monsters are born whenever a human and a monster try and have a child together and miscarry, and that’s why they’re just kinda there and not really monster nor human, but some sort of something in between.

ive always had the headcanon that ghosty monsters grow up like any other monster, they just age a lot slower, and essentially dont die. but i could never figure out how-- they were conceived

this is just a very vague concept but?? there arent a WHOLE lot of ghost monsters in my canon, and i think the idea of them being the result of a miscarriage between a monster and a human is ju st,,,,, idk a really neat concept?? like it’s fucked up but-- would make sense as to why theyre classified as monsters, though have a lot of human-esque traits, and yet are already dead and just--- th ere

i feel like, the miscarriage happens and somewhere this tiny baby ghosty appears, and just-- kinda has to figure that shit out

none of the ghosts in the underground are technically related either, but they all consider each other family because-- in a twisted way, that’s all they have. and they understand each other way better than any other monster would.

hey ghostie. dont worry about it. you aint gotta be super consistent or whatever. especially when it comes to just. shit you like. shit like talking to people.

technically dont have a litwick anymore.. littie evolved into a lampent a while ago. litwicks are fucking great though id definitely recommend you get one. long as you train them well they aint a danger to anyone. which... basically goes for any mon now that i think about it.

its weird to answer that question though. had littie for almost ten years now.. feels weird to think about a time before her. shes my best friend after all. mostly because i can talk to ghosts. the real question here is when getting a litwick what should you expect?

if youre clumsy like me.. expect to get burned. a lot. not badly though its just annoying. litwicks dont need to eat like most mons do.. they feed off of your energy. though they do still like treats. id recommend training them to slowly feed throughout the day. especially when theyre older, them feeding all at once can be well. draining. being around other people also helps for them but it aint required. just means they aint got to eat as much if theyre draining from a crowd or whatever.

thats the main shit. they can also sense your feelings pretty well. in the wild they mostly used that to sense distressed and tired prey.. that kind of shit makes it easier for them to feed off you. though when trained they can often comfort you before you even know anythings wrong. they make for great therapy mons because of that.

Today's update: still feeling all fucked up from Everything Happening At Once, also getting a migraine from all the stress the other day and how i basically didnt sleep for two days and then passed out today and lost the entire 24 hours. Like man i cant even say the family shit was yesterday?? It just feels that way cos i spent all of today either sleeping, crying or crying on the phone to the bank and the stupid online game store that took my money for pokemon preorder yet didnt send me the actual game. GAHHHH and ive forgotten to Eat Food for like the whole three days all this shit has been going down, aside from a handful of Starburst candy my sis gave me during our Big Awkward Moment. And the energy drink i chugged on the way there to meet her because Fuck I Need Awakeness To Comprehend This Shit. I think my stomach is exploding in on itself.

Anyway! ANYWAY!! Gahhh! Anyway!

Thank you mega fuckin big much to the friends who leant me money AGAIN, both to catch the midnight bus to meet a long lost sibling and also to fix this stupid game preorder bollocks. God what the fuck is up with my life? I feel so guilty asking for money and man you guys have leant me like 300 in the last 3 months! Fuck i hope this stupid cavalcade of finance problems stops soon and i can start paying you all back because JESUS CHRIST. I feel like my skin is melting off my bones whenever i think about how much i dont deserve such great friends! But there's no chance of it taking less than a week, so thank you SO MUCH for helping me place another preorder at a different more reliable shop! This is what i get for fuckin going bargain hunting aaa. I ordered pikachu version just in case the original order does somehow turn up, cos it was eevee version. But i got none of the preorder bonuses anymore and no pokeball controller on this. I guess maybe itll make my second playthru more fun if i can finally use the damn controller, haha! And this second copy is probably gonna arrive quite late now cos i missed the preorder window. But it should be either on saturday or monday which is way better than waiting a month or something chasing up this bullshit! And hopefully also in a week or two i will get the money back from selling alll those preowned games, and it can go towards A: GROCERIES and B: repaying bebst friends of reckless money giving. You guys are fuckin nuts, seriously!! And man god i hate that im still suffering this knock-on effect tight finances bullshit from the stupid mental hospital thing 3 months ago. I mean i failed to even last a month there and its cost me almost a thousand pounds in terms of stocking up the stuff to be able to move house temporarily, all the mobile data i had to use while being without internet while i was there, all the miscellaneous expenses along the way, and then all the bill debt and having to restock tolietries and groceries and everyries when i got back home. Also i probably wont go with the idea of twin protagonists headcanon for this LP, cos the whole Untimely Lost Sibling Madness kinda made that a sore spot to think about. One good side of getting the version i didnt want is that i can pick the female protagonist if i get pikachu version, and go with the personality i was gonna use for the female sibling. Cos actually it seems that your rival dude's perosnality is kinda simular to what i was gonna do for the male sibling? Could just have that sort of relationshup as a best buddies thing. And playing as a sassy roughhousing jock girl protag is gonna be more fun than playing The Nice And Shy Dude which is basically what i always do in every game cos its just me??? Would get more fun character lets player contrast with protagonist Darcy.

Turns out nico’s parents are even weirder than will’s bc they can see ghosts without any special equipment and they can communicate with and summon ghosts and they also have a bunch of weapons to use against bad ghosts that won’t hurt people - unlike some of the stuff will’s parents have whipped up

nico helps him figure out how all his ghosty powers work and nico and lou ellen help will whenever theres a ghost they have to fight and a lot of the time the ghosts try to pick on will bc his girlfriend has to help him fight and wills like “who, lou? ew no” and soon enough the ghosts are like ‘oooohhhh so that ones your boyfriend then ok’ and start picking on nico instead

whenever will comes over nico has to sneak him in and out of his room bc he cant let his parents see will - bc theyll know immediately that hes a ghost and try to send him away to the ghost zone - so theyre convinced that hes trying to hide a boyfriend from them which ends up being true bc one day they’re in nicos room and theyre supposed to be doing homework but they just end up,,, making out instead,,, and everyone was expecting them to get together sooner or later but its still kinda sudden

ALSO::: everybody knows the trans danny fenton headcanon so let me just say - trans will who feels more comfortable in his ghost form bc he looks more manly and confident and its just more ideal than his normal human form - nico loves both of his forms though and honestly?? hes got the coolest boyfriend ever and nobody could ever convince him otherwise
