A poster series for all mainline Windows Touhou games.

This was my final project in college.

The theme was "adaptation". The project was about finding balance between what to translate and what to leave as is to preserve the themes of the original but still make it so the target audience understands them.

The titles use the Hungarian translation's titles and they were made in the style of '60's, '70's and '80's Hungarian posters and some elements were changed for understandability.

#re:zero #they dont know its japanese...#BUT in one of the side stories subaru does explain that its from ''his village'' to ram and teaches it to her #which is a fun reversal on their tutoring dynamic esp bc ofc ram is a better student. but also seeing their interactions is so fun #i love their bickering friendship. they trust each other more than anything but also cant not insult each other for 2 seconds #BUT THEYRE BOTH IN ON THE BIT! they both know its jokes #but whats actually the MOST interesting part of that story is how at the end ram says she RECOGNIZES those symbols from somewhere #and that still hasnt been addressed in the main story #maybe its dots we're supposed to connect on our own somehow but #WHERE AND WHEN would ram have encountered symbols from earth just in general?? how???#shes literally just some girl. who is the reincarnation of a god. but is mostly just some girl #i have theories but none have been proven as far as i can tell #fucking mystery

Because the Alenoaheather Fake Dating AU never truly leaves my brain, I've got a small addition.

After Alejandro and Sierra have done their puppet therapy bonding session, Alejandro has to throw away the remains of the Cody puppet that he used to show Sierra how toxic her relationship with him is.

He's at the trash can. The puppet has served its purpose. It's time to put the pathetic, miserable thing in the trash. Really, it's a mercy.

...He fakes throwing the Cody puppet away. In secret, he fixes the puppet and hides it away somewhere Sierra hopefully won't find it.

He knows he can't really hide it from the cameras. So in the confessional he just says that he would hate to throw away his hard work, even if it was important for the lesson.

(Just have a short ramble about writing under the read more if you're interested)

[On a meta/writing standpoint, I just really like Alejandro using puppets as a way of processing his emotions. It allows him the safety to explore the more vulnerable parts of himself while still maintaining a distance by pretending it's just the puppet/for the performance.

Mind you, I love puppets being used as symbolic of Alejandro's manipulative tendencies. It's tried and true for a reason. I just think it'd be neat to use puppets/dolls as a positive mechanism of change for once.]

For the gemstone was nothing other than a small piece of auracite, and nestled within its crystalline exterior was a tiny sliver of her beloved's soul. Though little more than a wisp, Kea could swear she could feel some of her presence within her heart, hear her voice whisper in the wind across the hundreds of malms between them. It gave her comfort to think how, no matter the time they spent apart, some part of them were still always together.

And so she kept the ring close, kept it safe, and never far from her heart.

Is that "I want to make a new Judaism without Israel" person even Jewish at all? I looked through their blog; it's been around for over a year but if you search any Jewish-related tag they use there's not a single post before 7/10. I don't want to accuse, Jews come in all varieties (even shanden), but come on... better to be a goysiche antisemite than such an embarrassment, right? Anyway this is just to say thanks for always dealing with these people so the rest of us don't have to, it's a huge service to the community.

I don't think it's appropriate to speculate about people's Jewish identity when we don't have anything concrete saying if they are or aren't. I don't know anything about them and I'm not really interested in spending time to look, but their views are not unique. I'm aware of only one real-life Jewish community that has tried to completely remove Israel from all of their services and holidays but it's extremely small, like ten people. So I mean there are Jews out there who have made it their mission to do that, it's just small and most Jews are very against them.

#ask hinda #i know that antisemitic antizionist jews are out there but they dont really have the means to start their own congregations #given that no one will ordain them as proper rabbis #so how can you have a community without a rabbi lol #anyway its all very sad i feel bad for them #because they all are so lost and confused about their identity #and then they bring up neturi karta as examples for antizionist jews #and ive heard of rabbis putting a ban on marriage with any member of neturi karta #which is more symbolic than anything because i dont think they marry outside of their own community #but jews have made it very known that we dont like them or support them politically #but theyre brought up that way theyre taught to hate themselves and other jews its very sad #to look at their kids and know theyre going to grow up so fucking confused #and hateful #its all very sad

Funniest thing in the world is when someone like dissects the symbolism they perceive in something you made and you're like "Wow yeag I really did that. My twisted web of genius metaphors and subtleties" [INTERNAL] What teh fuck are they talking about!!!!!!

#ESPECIALLY with art because I'm usually operating more on a loose collection of concepts than any coherent message but writing too #For example I have one friend who's loosely like beta reading 'The White Calf' and keep having moments where she's like #'wow the symbolism in this bit is interesting' or 'OHHHH I SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING THERE' and I'm like #Wait what. Oh yeah I guess that is kind of there huh. Weird #Especially funny when it's a compliment like thank you I'm glad if the loose slop I'm throwing down has assembled itself into coherency #It's not like I DON'T do anything intentionally but so much really is accidental #Art critiques were always wild for me especially ones where I was challenged about what I was trying to say because it's like.#Fuck if I know beyond a loose smattering of vibes and concepts
