Michael Keay Joins the blog!

(Two versions so it's easier to see)

Here is everyone's favorite book burner turned book! Michael is the son of Jurgen Keay, and he started burning books in an attempt to keep his dad safe from the Lietners he was trying to collect. (thanks to @thecatchat for the great idea!) As you can see from the tattoo on his neck, Michael does have various tattoos all over his body to repentant the 14 fears, from his fathers insistence. Jurgen seemed to believe that if *every* fear wanted to claim you, none of them could. Michael didn't believe that, but he got the tattoos for his father. Now, Michael is a ghost in the skin book. He wants to believe things will get better, he *has* to. If no one can try, he will. Even in death, he tries to do what he can, even if the hunters he's with are... Frustrating.

My character designs for my Tim is the Archivist AU. Yes, this is a self-indulgent AU, and yes everyone lives.

I have a whole note doc with everything that happens within the five seasons. Hopefully, I get to writing something at least.

These designs are aimed to be near season 2, as Martin hasn't fully spiraled yet, but has the taste of the spiral within him.

Oh god spiral!Martin's pants, they are hideous and are such a spiral coded thing lol. I love them and I feel like I'd go man if I saw them in person lol. I love spiral avatars wearing the most outrageous clothes <3

Does make me wonder what s1!archives would look like if they were all spiral avatars, or all of them all one type of avatar in gen tbh. I'm gonna put that on the burner to cook a bit cause I like that thought

I've been getting mixed reviews on Spiral/Martin's pants, either you love them or you hate them. Martin changes outfits constantly as a Spiral avatar. I personally adore how silly they are. But I did base them on Victorian outfits and runway fashion which is why they are so out there.

@the-lantern-lights also have an au where the entire s1 archival staff are avatars of different fears brought back to s1 from their own respective futures where they were the only ones in the archives to survive. It's a really fun au.

Asking about the stoker swap au, are we likely to see the whole America Thing? If not, will Trevor&Julia and/or Gerry be showing up at some point? Or is it going to be more like canon only this time Danny's there?

i haven't gotten that far in my planning but it'll probably go down smth like this

so yeah it'll be Roughly just the same as canon only danny is also there. i want there to be Some difference but idk what it'd be. maybe danny will get jon to burn the whole book of the trapped dead to free everyone in there and then that'll be a whole thing but idk

workin on a lil idea and was thinking about this:

a swap au where sasha got the promotion. she’s the new head archivist

where tim is her connection to the world. her reason to keep going

where martin was taken in s1 and replaced with a not!martin

where jon loses himself without martin, and sacrifices his life for sasha at the end of s3.

where elias was the previous archivist and gertrude is the one who killed him.

hm. maybe this is something i should look in to more.

Y'ALL. HOLD ON. Archives swap au where gertrude and her initial team are the successors to Jon and his team. By the end of his time as the Archivist Jon was almost ready to invoke the watcher's crown but found out before Elias could use it and tried to destroy the archives with the help of his remaining team (similar to their strategy in mag 200). The official report is that there was a fire in the archives and they're presumed dead, but no bodies were found. When Gertrude takes over, the archives are an absolute mess because Jon destroyed as many statements as possible and the rest were left in complete disarray. Then the lightless flame starts attacking the archives, hoping to do some damage while they're vulnerable. And things go on from there.

Is Gertrude Bouchard the head of the Magnus Institute? How similar to cannon is she in terms of "will blow up a place of power for the Eye"? Like, is she more cool with the Powers or does she fight all the other powers except the eye or what?

Gertrude Bouchard : Current Head of The Magnus Institute and frankly a *very* scary old woman.

Some 30 odd years back she was almost exactly the same as Canon Gertrude. But time as so much death has warped that idea. Now, she believes there is no way to stop any of the fears from winning and has come to the conclusion that the eye would be the "kindest" to suffer under. So: She wants to preform The Watcher Crown to "Save" The world from the other fears winning.
