@taylorswift I hope you’re holding up well so far in quarantine. I hope this time has been beneficial for you like it has for many of us, allowing time to self-reflect, spend quality time with family, relax, read, practice hobbies, write music perhaps in your case? One thing that’s exceedingly challenging in this situation is celebrating a birthday. Today my younger daughter turns 6, and although she’s disappointed she can’t have a class party or a regular birthday party with her friends she’s still super happy and excited. I’ve tried my best to make it a special one and have gotten some of her favorite people to send her videos, more will FaceTime today. Technology is a blessing in these times!
Lauren loves you Taylor!! If you see this, would you please like this post to wish her a Happy Birthday!? It would mean the world to her! The past couple of weeks have been a rollercoaster for our family and things have been crazy! Im just a mom trying to make today the most special and memorable day I can! 💗💗

Allow me to introduce you to one of the strongest Swifties in this fandom. I know that’s a bold statement but please read on and find out why I feel that way. Madeline is a Swiftie through and through. In fact, she has a @taylorswift follow here on Tumblr for the past 5 years! Check her out, @whattaylormademedo Her post was THE LAST ONE Taylor liked before her now infamous months long social media hiatus.
A little over a year ago, Madeline was suddenly struck with a rare, 1-in-1 million autoimmune neurological muscular disorder. She has gone from a vibrant, college honors student at Nazareth College to 100% bed-bound, paralyzed, and in constant pain, in one year. This illness is trying to take everything from her. She is no longer able to be exposed to light, sound, or touch. Her mother hasn’t been able to hug her daughter or hold her hand through the pain in almost a year. It is loss upon loss.
Right now they need help. Madeline currently has to travel to doctor’s appointments via a stretcher and an ambulance. However, because she is only 20 years old and not earning an income, she is on Medicaid and has to use Medicaid transportation. Unfortunately, Medicaid transportation is unreliable to say the least. They have cancelled on them six separate times in the past two months, once leaving them stuck in a closed doctor’s office on a Friday night with no guarantee that they would even come back and get them that night. And, this week Madeline was scheduled for a very important medical procedure that was to help loosen the painful muscle contractions that she has had in her feet since March 2019. But, the transportation company cancelled again leaving them no way to get her to her procedure and prolonging her excruciating pain. They had to cancel her crucial treatments, yet again.
They are in DESPERATE need of a vehicle to help her beat this horrible disease. What is needed is a van that would be adapted and could transport her by stretcher and hopefully by wheelchair in the future. They have worked out some of the price but still need about $27,000 to purchase the van that would allow them to be able to get her to and from crucial doctor’s appointments.
(The following written by Madeline’s mom Jennifer) Madeline is incredible. She is kind, driven, fearless, honest, and caring. She has been a business woman her whole life. It was apparent early on when every lemonade stand she made had a business plan. She graduated from The Young Entrepreneurs Academy at the University of Rochester when she was 11 years-old, winning a booth at Eastview mall for the holiday season because of her business plan. At 12 years-old, she launched her own hair accessories business and had her products at Parkleigh and in a few stores in Manhattan. She designed her own packaging and was researching overseas manufacturing when she decided to close her business so that she could concentrate on high school. In her senior year she did an internship at the Villa of Hope and at Moondog Labs in Fairport. After she graduated from high school, Moondog labs hired her to do marketing and public relations before she started college. She was accepted into the Honors program at Nazareth College and was studying Business Management, when her health started failing. Even though she was having unidentified health issues, she went on to get a 4.0 in her first semester, despite having to be in a wheelchair.
In February, her health challenges became so great that she had to leave school. Unable to get an answer to why her health was failing from local doctors, we traveled to New York City, Cleveland, Chicago, and finally got an answer during a two-month stay at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. We spent our life savings, our retirement, and Madeline’s college fund to get answers.
At Johns Hopkins in June 2019, Madeline was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a cruel, painful, and progressive autoimmune neurological disorder. This disorder causes all of the muscles in her body to fire at once creating a painful state of paralysis, and causes her limbs to turn around to the point of breaking bones and tearing ligaments. It has been described as a full body charlie horse that doesn’t go away. She just has to learn to live with constant horrific pain. She hasn’t had relief from the constant contractions in her feet, legs, and hips in almost a full year. Sometimes she loses the ability to use her hands. Sometimes her eyes and mouth close for days and she can’t communicate at all. Sometimes her digestive system shuts down for weeks at a time and we end up back in a hospital with my husband and I splitting shifts and trying to survive.
But, Madeline is still the amazing, brilliant, kind, compassionate, driven young woman she has always been. Even though her body is failing her, she is still dreaming of a future. And, that is a future in business. And, I am trying to give it to her. If we can reliably get her to and from doctor’s appointments (some of which we must travel to Baltimore for), she has a chance at living a life before this disease progresses to her lungs and takes her from us.
Swifties, we NEED TO help this family reach their goal of buying the vehicle that will help her get treatment for this illness and begin to live her life. Please help us help Madeline so that she may someday take her place among the incredible business women of this community, like Taylor who has blazed a trail and changed all of our lives. She may be down now but she is determined. She won’t stay down. Someday she will be sitting beside us at a Taylor concert (or hopefully in Taylor’s living room at a Secret Session) singing her heart out and have the opportunity to thank Taylor, her biggest inspiration and hope in her fight.
Madeline currently has two wishes: to get the transportation she so desperately needs and to GET HER STORY TO TAYLOR. If you can’t help with the first you can certainly help with the second.
So, I have a few requests for everyone:
✨PLEASE take a couple minutes to watch this video and get a short glimpse into her and her families world.
✨PLEASE donate to her cause if you can. ✨PLEASE share this post and tag @taylorswift and @taylornation
✨If you have a Taylor or Taylor Nation follow PLEASE reblog this or one of her posts like CRAZY when they are online and DM them asking them to please read her story. 💗

"Isn't it strange how it all happens? All my life I dreamt about the bright lights, big city. You know, they tell you it's gonna be glamorous and they tell you that you have everything. And no one tells you how it's gonna be. And they don't tell you when you're twirling in front of the mirror as a child what the papers are gonna say about you someday. Cause they don't tell you they're building you up, just to try and knock you down. But they haven't yet."

Hi Taylor!
You probably don’t know me, but my name is Tessa! I’m 20 years old and I’m a third year pre-medical student from Ohio. I’ve been loving you for quite some time (swiftie since debut woo)! There are family home videos of me singing your songs at the top of the stairs from when I was younger & thinking of that brings a tear to my eyes because it reminds me of how proud I am to have grown up with you to look up to. No matter what was going on in my life, I always turned to your music. Whether it was to celebrate or to cope. Whether you know it or not, you have been there for me in the best and worst times of my life.
Flash forward to this past semester. This semester was exceptionally difficult. I got my first apartment by myself, which was an exciting step! But about a month after I moved in, my apartment was broken into while I was inside. It was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever had happen to me in my own home and it took forever to be okay with being alone again here. It gets easier every day but the nightmares still come. Anyway, this semester has been incredibly tolling mentally. My mental health has never been so bad and to top it off, my boyfriend that I adore suddenly ended things after almost two years together. I just have felt so broken. But I just want you to know that this blog, this community, your music... have all been so important in helping me see the good in it all. Because of you I know that I can get through this and one day, I’ll be me again. I’m trying to be okay with who I am at my core. So thank you Taylor. For everything. You mean the absolute world to me. Here’s to the start of an age.
So much love,
Tessa💖

Taylor, you WILL be remembered!
And not just because you are immortalized in these movies and songs. YOU will be remembered as someone who created change, who started conversations, who broke molds, used her voice for the good of others, set standards, and was TRUE TO HERSELF through it all! I can’t think of a better role model for my girls. I’m not sure if I’ll let them watch Miss Americana just yet (I need to screen it first to be sure it’s appropriate for a 5 & 7 year old) but I can tell you that they WILL watch and YOU will be the open door to many conversations about important issues between my girls and I! As a Christian family ourselves, you’ve already opened amazing dialogue between my girls and my husband and I about Equal Rights with You Need To Calm Down. My girls are a bit young to understand the issues that are prominent in today’s world but your lyrics and interviews have opened very important conversations and have given us amazing opportunities for open dialogue. Miss Americana looks like it will present more opportunities to discuss things like bullying/cyber bullying and the gravity of the words you say to people, the importance of young people executing their right to vote and their role in our country’s political system, gender equality issues in our society, equal rights for all and body image. I was especially saddened to read about your struggles with the latter. My 7 year old already makes comments about her body and I’m working hard to start conversations with her now to help her understand that everyone’s bodies are different and she should not compare herself to others. I think it’s so important for girls to see that everyone is subject to these issues regardless of their level of success or public status. Thank you again for being so brave to share all of this with us and for being such a great example to your young fans. This family is a Swiftie family for life, and we can’t wait to hug you and thank you in person one day for all you’ve done. 💗 @taylorswift @taylornation

My open letter to Taylor
Taylor,
I really, really wish I was able to speak to someone right now who actually cared. I really try to fit in here on Tumblr but apparently, I don’t. There’s some really shitty stuff going on right now on Twitter and I totally understand why you left! Apparently when you said, “I just want to wear pink and talk about politics”, that just went over everyone’s heads. Because God forbid, I voiced my political opinions, and now I am being dragged and cancelled on Twitter. I’ve only lost about 200 followers in the past 2 days and I guess I’m glad I weeded out my real friends, but it still hurts you know? I can only imagine what you went through when you thought the whole world hated you, which we didn’t, but it’s hard when people turn against you.
That’s why I’m here. I need to find a group of more supportive Swifties, and Twitter is just not where it’s at right now. All everyone does is publicly drag each other, and other people join in on the fun because they think the “big account” is popular and that’s the cool thing to do. Well it’s not. It’s people’s emotions and mental health they’re messing with. I just really wanted to reach out to you because I have nowhere else to go. I have made some amazing friends through your music and the online community but it’s just too much anymore.

#TwitterSwiftiesOnTumblr
Jamie ( @islandbrzejamie ) and I want to start a new hashtag for Twitter swifties in here (or just any of you who also have twitter stan account), so their accounts and posts wouldn’t be excluded from tumblr and we could follow and hype up each other from that hashtag. We’re trying to get everyone to be seen by @taylorswift !
So the hashtag is #TwitterSwiftiesOnTumblr

Hey I'm Meg, this is my husband Shaun. I've been a fan of Taylor's from the start, it's wild to me that I've loved Taylor longer than I've loved my now husband. He came into my life in 2007. The healing that took place because of Taylor. She taught me to pick up the pieces from a broken heart, let love in again, for that I'm forever grateful. When I dealt with cruel girls I would blast Taylor's music, just cry it out. She was there for me when I felt so alone. Her lyrics are relatable and touched my heart, soul in a way no other artist has ever had.
Taylor is the reason that our Love Story happened. On our first date I asked Shaun what he thought of her, the rest is history. She has been the soundtrack to my life for as long as I can remember, I can't imagine a life without her in it.
He once mentioned that my eyes sparkle when I talk about her, that is something he loved from that day on. Taylor makes me believe in magic!
Our first concert ever attended together 11 years later was her reputation tour in East Rutherford, NJ 7.21.18, she pointed at us during our song Love Story, saw our sign in center pit.. I feel like I blacked out, my husband held me as I cried and it all still feels like a dream. We will stand by you forever Taylor 💜

In London Boy, @taylorswift made the song very upbeat and cheerful because she's trying to show how she loves her 'London boy' and how she feels about him, which is happiness and excitement.
But in the lines where she said "show me a grey sky, a rainy cab ride", we can break it down like this:
• London is known for the gloomy weather and it can be very depressing especially in winter so the 'grey sky' happens a lot.
• She's trying to say to her 'London boy' to show her these London things, the London experience; the good ones (Camden market, Shoreditch, Brixton, etc.) and even the bad and gloomy ones (grey skies and rainy cab rides)
Because no matter how bad, depressing and gloomy those experiences are, she wants to have them with him because she knows they'll be alright as long as they do it together.
In simpler words, everything is better when she's with him 🥰 my heart :') ❤
