Brainwashed!Younger Sibling!Reader with Riddle Rosehearts: Part 1
Tumblr media
Note: Posting this in advance before I post the others to at least show that I'm alive (also, I'm not really in a good mood as I'm typing this atm and wrote the rest of this on a whim of projection-)
This part will just be like the prologue or introduction sorta thing. It won't include the confrontation and the comfort yet.
Also, Reader here is NOT the same as R!MC/the reader in Scared!Younger Sibling!Reader.
Anyways, let's get to it!!
Part 1 (here) | Part 2 | Part 3
Warnings: Contains child abuse, Improper parental care and guidance, domestic abuse, gaslighting, manipulation, Riddle's Rosehearts's mother, (Slight, but definitely still there) Objectification, Self-deprecation, Angst, NO COMFORT (yet), Tell me if I missed anything
-----
"Riddle would have done so much better than you did. I'm disappointed in you."
"Hm? A 99/100 on your math test? Hmph. Riddle got a 100/100 on his math test when he was your age. Goodness, how disappointing."
"You will NEVER be as great as your older brother!!"
"At least Riddle follows the rules; unlike you who can't even follow a simple rule. How disappointing."
"What a disappointment."
"Oh? The youngest? Oh no, all it's good at is making mistakes."
"How disappointing."
"You're such an eyesore and disappointment to the Rosehearts name. Why can't you be like Riddle?"
"[Name], you are to do everything to make Riddle shine. No matter what. Never win against him. Never make him lose. Never be better than him. Never argue against him. Never even think about being better than him."
...
These were only some of the things your mother has said to you.
Why she said those? You never knew.
All you know is that you're a disappointment.
A mistake that makes even more mistakes.
That woman may as well not be your mother at this point...
If anything, she seems more like your mistress or master; and you're the servant.
Riddle is your "master"'s child, making you his servant as well.
And there's no way to change that.
You will forever be lower and lesser than Riddle and his (not your) mother.
Just like how they will forever be higher and better than you.
It's always been like that; and it will continue to be like that.
The woman of the Rosehearts house never liked you, nor did she find any use for you except for doing chores.
Even then, she didn't trust you with much at all.
As a child, Mrs. Rosehearts drilled into your mind to 'always make yourself useful'.
And since said woman never trusted you with much, she gave you one assignment.
"Always make Riddle shine. Never be better than him; not like that's even possible with you in the question. However, if Riddle ever falls even in the slightest, bring him up by bringing yourself down. Doing otherwise will result in swift punishment. Am I understood?"
As a child, those words were everything.
They were your first orders.
Basically meaning that the woman trusted you with the task.
And, because of how naive as you were as a child, you agreed. Not like you had a choice in the matter anyway.
---
This goes on your entire life.
For the rest of your life, you've made mistakes so Riddle would shine and you would be just a speck of nothingness in everyone else's life.
How you were able to get in NRC, neither Riddle nor his mother knows.
However, they don't know that you've been observing Riddle as he studied.
You thought that if you were to study like Riddle, Riddle and his mother would be proud of you.
Not because of your grades, but because if you were to be a student in NRC, you would be able to bring yourself down and bring Riddle further into the spotlight of success.
After all, who else are you, if not a stupid, useless, disappointment of a thing of the Rosehearts house?
Growing up, the woman still taught you very much, but never to the extent of Riddle's education.
Because you (in that woman's words,) "could never fathom nor comprehend the complexities of Riddle's education"
And you, being so naive and clueless, agreed very easily.
Besides, who else could have told you?
No one, that's who.
No one could have told you that what that woman was doing to you and Riddle was wrong.
No one could have told you that you didn't have to be this way.
No one.
When Riddle broke the rule of going out when he left on his 8th birthday, you would break even more rules than normal, to allow Riddle to go through less punishment.
---
However, you went through the biggest struggle in your life after Riddle's overblot.
Why? Well, Riddle has been a lot more lenient with the rules; even going so far as to even allow rule-breakers go unpunished sometimes.
Riddle isn't shining that way, isn't he...?
You remember all that the woman told you.
You have to make Riddle shine.
You should.
It's the only way you can make yourself useful, after all.
Besides, no one cares about you anyway.
It's not like you'd be missing out on anything...
...right...?
Yeah, right.
Because if that woman who calls herself the most successful one truly is who she is, then surely she's always correct.

Yandere sibling!Dorm Leaders

Warning(s): cussing, yandere shit, unhealthy behavior, this shits only good for fiction irl this is no fuckin good obv
Word Count: 1k
A/N: I've been reading a lot of yandere stuff lately and I've been wanting to try it out too. Any constructive criticism would be very much appreciated, cause this is my first my writing any yandere type stuff. Also, tysm to @lorkai for the inspo help.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Riddle Rosehearts
When the two of you were young, you were always the one to comfort him after any unwarranted punishments, and were often blamed for his mistakes by your mother. You'd be lying if you said that you were never bitter or jealous about this miss treatment, but you pushed it down in favor of the relief that your baby brother didn't have to be put through what you did.
You found out about Trey and Chenya long before you mother did. Riddle cried and begged you not to tell your mother, to which you assured him that you would keep his secret no matter what. At the time, you believed this was a sign that he wouldn't turn out like your mother and in your excitement and relief you shared all of the secrets you had hid for years even giving him some pointers on where to hide things and convincing lies to tell. You thought these would have been an amazing bounding moments for the both of you to cherish.
But then Riddle was caught... You tried to convince your mother that it was your idea, you introduced the boys, you helped hide it for do long (which was only partly un true) but it only worked to give you a worse punishment then him.
After this incident, he started to turn into a miniature version of your mother, with the love of absorbed rules and anger issues. This of course drove quite the wedge in your relationship. As you got older your formulated somewhat of a plan, you would focus on your studies as much as possible, then try and get into a prestigious boarding school, and while there save as much money as you can so once you graduated you don't have to go back and can start a life far away from your mother and her control.
Now, Riddle had always admired you for your intelligence and bravery to stand up to your mother, whether for him or yourself, and he wanted to protect you just as you had always protected him. As Riddle grew older that strong admiration for you and want to protect you, and mixed with his belief of rules being of utmost importance, it grew into something nasty as time went on.
Riddle had heard you mention your plan when he walked past your room while you were on the phone with a friend. Once he knew you were up to something he was determined to find out what it was. After a few days of eavesdropping on your conversations, he was able to put together enough pieces of information to understand what you were doing. To say he was distraught would be an understatement, but he quickly composed himself in favor of making a plan to keep you here. With him. Your precious baby brother.
He played the waiting game for his plan to work perfectly, he waited right unit just weeks before your scheduled leave for school. That evening he knocked on his mother's study door,
"Who is it?" His mother asked through the door, in her ever-cold and rigged tone.
"It is Riddle, Mother. I have some things I must inform you of." Riddle replied, his heart racing in his chest as he awaited her response. Deep down he knew exactly that what he was about to do was horridly wrong, but he had assured himself multiple times that it was for your own good. But what made his heart pound so hard in panic was the thought that you would hate him for this. That you would refuse to speak to him, look at him, or even be near him. The mere thought made him feel like he was going to fall to his knees in tears right then and there. He couldn't live without the love and care that you had always given-
"Alright, come in." After what felt like an eternity, his mother responded, stopping him from spiraling deeper into his thoughts. He took a deep breath, pushing away his worries down as he opened the door.
'They'll understand, this is for their own good...'
Riddle's heart squeezed in pain and sympathy as he stood next to his mother while she yelled at you. But he couldn't help but feel just a twinge of satisfaction at the thought of the betrayal you must feel, that your own brother told every one of your secrets that you told him all those years ago and just maybe a little more for good measure. He wanted you to know the pain he felt when he found out you were going to leave him.
From then on, you weren't allowed to damn near anything, at least not alone, and that included school. She didn't allow you to go to any boarding school and she personally oversaw the rest of your schooling. You weren't even allowed to leave the house alone, which was something that took years of goodwill and trust to earn from your mother.
After that, you were far more distant from your brother, which eventually turned into coldness. Anytime he entered a room, you would leave it, if he tried to talk to you, you would either walk away or glare at him. All of Riddle's fears had come true, you hate him. He couldn't help but sob to himself in his room after you had glared at him for the first time. After almost an hour of sobbing into his pillow, he managed to calm himself down with a technique you taught him years ago, how ironic., he tried to think of this logically, you were a teenager, teenagers are notorious for overreacting because of hormones, yeah.. that must be it... you would get over this soon... he's sure of it...
Riddle would later learn to understand you more, after a certain redheaded freshman challenges him for Houseworden. He would understand why you did the things you did, and how big of a mistake he had made. He'd do anything to make up for it and keep you by his side...
Anything...
Something that keeps me up sometimes
My TWST Roman empire is what would happen to Najma when Jamil did end up killing himself over his overblot???
Based on the Jamil hometown event, the pair are close as siblings ( although they bully each other, granted it is part of the sibling experience?) Does she end up being the same as she was before?? Would she now have to overtake Jamil's responsibilities?? Would she start to resent Kalim as well??
Would she have to bear the pain of living out her brother's dreams of traveling around the world, knowing he would comment and take pictures of everything to show her when he would return?? Knowing every milestone of your life you have to endure without your brother by your side, feeling a perpetual hold in your heart knowing all too well it could have been fully preventable?? Does she visit him often in her dreams and keep him in her prayers??
i have two aus im not doing anything with so free game
First, au where Jamil is dead. he died years ago due to poison in Kalims food. Kalimm never accepted Jamils death and halucinates that he is still alive. whenever he talks with Jamil, its just his own delusions, saying whatever he thought Jamil would say, its his own common sense and stuff but it comes in Jamils voice and thats that. Everyone just lets it happen or else he will have a huge fit. he overblots in chapter 4 since, maybe someone got fed up with this nonsense, and rubbed it in Kalims face that Jamil is dead because of him. it hits like a brick and he overblots because he just cant do it. if his best friend died because of him, how could he possibly lead a whole dorm? (im thinking like, a grief induced schizophrenia thing but i dont know much about schizophrenia and i dont want to stereotype or demonize it or anything. is that even a thing, grief induced schizophrenia?)
Second, i call this one the bird family au. its just a mix of that one post about manga Yuu looking like Neiges gay sister and a comic i saw about Neige being Crowleys son. so im mixing it and saying that Crowley is father to both of them. Theyre twins or close on age but somehow Yuu ended up in the non magic world (not clear how but as i type im thinking like the portal that sent Adora to Etheira). in grief Crowley gave Neige to the dwarves *is that right? what is his relation to them?). 16 or so many years later, Yuu is brought back home by the dark mirror.
Her moment
Valerie’s POV:
The sound of clashing blades as one defends the themselves. Feeling the spectated eyes of vice housewarden Vanrouge. Despite me only just beginning my training in swordsmanship after being recommended to them by Riddle. Silver has been accepting while Sebek has been a bit irritable…Lilia did told him to behave himself though.
Fencing and swordsmanship…it gives me such a nostalgic feeling.
*Flashback: April, 1889*
Ciel having fallen in the small pool of water on the ground since the cruise was sinking; this had caused me and Lizzie to also fall since we were behind him. Sebastian had to deal with the reapers Grelle, Ronald, and Charlotte. The walking corpses were only getting closer as a 1 vs 3 is already slight out numbered. Yes I had faith in Sebastian…but could he really multitask in a moment such as this?
Ciel yelled for us to run, but knowing Lizzie’s nature…she will do anything but that. I myself also refused to leave his side.
Lizzie looked terrified yes, not only at the walking corpses, but the commitment and promise she had to break away in order to protect us.
Valerie: Lizzie…please…You can’t hide it no longer…
I muttered to her, as it seemed she knew herself what I was saying to her.
I felt tense, I knew Ciel wanted to do what he could to protect her. But this once, I forced him to sit and not do anything…impulsive.
I watch as Lizzie broke free defensively from the large group of walking corpses, with a sword in her hand as she took each one down with such effortless gracefulness in her moves.
The young girl I had grown up with and saw as my best friend, the girl I had to comfort in moments in which she loathed her own strengths and talents, the girl that will become the future countess Phantomhive, my to be sister in law, had grown into such a lady.
As I, am so incredibly, proud of her.
*After all that chaos, and a small moment with Ciel and Valerie*
Valerie: What’s with the shocked face? I thought you would have known your future bride well.
Ciel: *blushing from his older sister’s teasing* I knew she fences but not at this level of skill!
*Ciel’s face goes blank for a moment, before realizing the meaning of her muttering to Elizabeth. Which he later turns serious.*
Ciel: You knew her potential, didn’t you? Yet you hid it from me.
Valerie: I did, but you must have remembered how strict aunt Francis was with you. She gave that exact strictness towards me and Elizabeth as well. As your words deeply affected her, Ciel.
Ciel: That was years ago though…I didn’t expect her to actually remember it…
*Ciel realizes another thing*
Ciel: Wait, if you were also trained under aunt Francis, doesn’t that mean your potential is similar levels to Lizzie’s? You could have made things end far more quicker and gotten her out of danger! You could have-!
Valerie: Why would I take such a moment?
*Ciel’s eyes widened, confused by her response*
Ciel: Just what do you mean by that?
Valerie: I mean just that. Why would I take away an opportunity and moment that would help Elizabeth embrace her strengths and talents rather than loathe it?
Valerie: Elizabeth needed a push to realize she can’t always use her cuteness to push and hide away what she is truly made of.
Valerie: Criticize me now, for being unreasonable, for being irresponsible, for hiding such a thing from you. When I am just doing what I believed was best for her. But know, I have faith in Elizabeth. I have faith in her as future countess Phantomhive and to let our family live on, Ciel.
Valerie: But also know, I am so incredibly proud of her, and so would mother and aunt Francis be too.
*Ciel was stunned to say the least, as Valerie just sighed at how oblivious he was about truly knowing Elizabeth.*
Valerie: Also proof of you barely knowing anything about ladies…
Ciel: Hey!
Valerie: Pft- it’s true though!
*Flashback end, present: Night Raven College, 21st century*
Silver is definitely a worthy opponent, Lilia has taught him well.
But, I can also demonstrate what I am made of.
*With a swift move of getting the sword out of his hand, Valerie has won the training match.*
*Lilia giggles as to enjoying the Ramshackle perfect already, frightening her out of her focus.*
Lilia: kufufu, you’re good! Makes me wonder who was your previous master that has shaped you into the swordswoman you are now.
Valerie: I- uhm- yes…thank you Vanrouge-
Lilia: Just call me Lilia! You don’t need to be so formal around me.
Valerie: Yes, Lilia…
*Silver looks at Sebek with a look, as if previously Sebek had his doubts in letting Valerie join for being a weak magicless human. Now proven wrong.*
*Valerie felt a sense of warmth and accomplishment, Lilia’s demeanor just felt so carefree. It made the Lady Phantomhive smile even.*
Yuu Rosehearts & Grim
Welcome to this hellhole. You didn’t ask for it but you’re going to get it anyway. I haven’t slept yet and I am purely running on caffeine. I also feel like fist fighting someone. Come meet me in the McDonald’s parking lot at 3 am if you’re up for it. Anyway, enjoy whatever this is because I currently don’t have the capacity to regret making it, lmaooo. :D
===
It wasn’t long after meeting Riddle that Yuu decided to meet up with Headmaster Crowley to look for employment in the campus. Although they could go back to their own home, they decided wanting to stay in the Sage’s Island for now since they were quite unwilling to part with their younger brother. They wanted to bond with Riddle a bit more.
Their younger brother…
A soft smile made its way up on Yuu's face, their chest feeling warm and a rising sense of contentment overtaking their mind as they took the newest batch of pastry out of the oven and into the counter to let it cool. Grim, who had just recently arrived, perked up when he saw this and jumped onto said counter to try and swipe a slice of tart away. Of course Yuu, being familiar with their companion’s antics, immediately gently pushed his paw away.
“Fgna! What gives, Yuu!” Grim grumbled lightheartedly, looking hungrily at the tarts. He had to bat away Yuu’s hand when it rested on his head as Yuu said, “Yuu can’t have it, Grim. Those are for sale.”
Just then, one of the ghosts who worked in the cafeteria popped in the kitchen with a loud and cheerful greeting: "Mx. Rosehearts! Your tarts are selling faster than expected! The students love it! Is the next batch ready?" The ghost said as it approached closer and looked at the steaming tarts. They took in a deep breath and hummed pleasantly. "Mmm! It already looks wonderful! I’m sure it’s going to be as delicious as it looks."
That's right. Yuu got a job in the school cafeteria. They mostly made and sold pastries and desserts, though, rather than cooking the meals. It was their area of expertise, after all.
Yuu blinked in surprise when they heard this before a reddish hue dusted their cheeks as they registered what the ghost said to them. "T-They like it?”
Grim rolled his eyes at them, albeit teasingly. This action didn’t go unnoticed by Yuu who scowled, but their ears were flushed. “Oh! W-Well, of course they do! I only learnt from the b-best, after all! Mr. and Mrs. Clover's bakery were really popular back… um… at my previous hometown, you know. If it hadn’t been for them…" Yuu trailed off, mumbling.
Yuu felt indebted to the Clover couple. It was because of them that Yuu had survived all these years and got to where they were right now. Running away with nothing in their name but the clothes on their back and a bag that could only hold so much of the things that they needed to survive hadn’t been easy for them.
Yuu had to constantly worry about where to find shelter, when they were going to eat their next meal, or find a source of clean water. Oftentimes, they would even have to go for days on end not being able to eat anything. It was always a risk, a gamble, of whether they were going to succumb today or live on for another day. The only thing that kept them going in their darkest times was the thought and the fear that accompanied it of leaving Grim alone. The world wasn't kind to monsters and Yuu would be damned if they left their first and only friend alone in such a cruel world.
Yuu had found Grim when they were hiking through the mountain, trying to find berries or fruits that were fit for human consumption. That was the time when they noticed a creature that was tucked away beneath a tall, towering tree. It looked like it was trying to hide itself against it.
Grim was severely injured at that time and was extremely hostile, heckles raised and hissing threateningly at Yuu. Despite the threat of being roasted alive by the unknown creature, for some reason Yuu had felt a connection with it. Perhaps it was a feeling of kinship? Or was it sympathy? They didn't know why but what they did know was that they couldn't just leave the creature out here all alone.
Even though Yuu had almost nothing with them aside from their rapidly decreasing food supply, they still gave most of it to Grim. He needed it more to grow healthier and stronger, as well as recover from his injuries, after all.
From that day on, the two were practically inseparable.
Yuu and Grim had strayed from place to place, never stopping and always finding ways to survive despite their circumstances. Most of the time they had to stay in the woods. With Grim being a monster and Yuu looking disheveled and dirty, most of the towns and cities they came across to would just either chase them away or immediately throw them out.
They had no choice but to live and try to survive in the wilderness. Since Grim was a monster, his stomach was tougher than humans so he could eat a lot of things that humans couldn’t and be full enough to not feel the pains of hunger. Yuu didn't have the same luxury, though, so they usually just had to grit their teeth and try to sleep it off.
When the hunger pangs was too much to bear and Grim noticed it (and he always did), the cat-like creature would temporarily disappear before returning to their makeshift home with a pitiful amount of food held between his maws. This usually accompanied an injury or injuries somewhere on his body.
Yuu knew that Grim stole the foods from nearby towns but they never said anything bad about this. They never condemned or get mad at him for stealing, or worry about what the people would think of them. Yuu was only worried about Grim…
"...Y-Y-You don't have to r-risk your life to get this for me, y-you know." Yuu would whisper, stuttering their words no matter how much they tried to stop it, trying to bandage Grim's injuries with what limited amount of first aid supplies they had with them while trying to stop their tears from flowing by how battered and beaten their one and only friend was. "Promise me you won't—you won’t do this a-again... Please… p-please…"
Grim would always promise Yuu to never get himself injured.
He was a liar…
… He always broke his promise…
Fortunately for them, things started to look up when they stumbled upon a bakery in a small town faraway that was on the verge of closing down and landed themselves a job as a baker after the last one quit due to the lack of customers. Their boss was a kind soul who didn’t care that Grim was a monster or that Yuu looked disheveled and unkempt.
Soon, the bakery slowly but surely started to attract more and more customers as the days passed that Yuu and Grim could finally sustain themselves. Grim even became the bakery's beloved mascot and the people absolutely loved him.
Yuu was grateful to their boss for their kindness, as well as to the Clover family for teaching them. Even at the cost of potentially getting into trouble with Mrs. Rosehearts had she ever found about Yuu learning these 'unnecessary things', the couple still secretly taught them how to bake and would even give them treats to cheer them up whenever they feel down.
"Yuu?" A very familiar voice sounded out, snapping Yuu out of their thoughts as Grim shoved his face in front of them.
"I—W-What--?" Yuu stuttered out, startled.
"The tarts already cooled off. Are you going to sell it or can I have all of it?" Grim eyed the tarts with a greedy expression on his face. Yuu shook their head in a doting manner at Grim who was practically drooling, before they picked up the trays and handed it over to ghost staff that took it gratefully and left.
"Hey!" Grim grumbled again, a dejected look on their face. “You’ve been baking all these tarts since earlier and you won’t even give me a bite. This is so unfair...” Yuu couldn't help but laugh at his expression.
"Hmm... Well, how about this," Yuu pretended to think, placing a hand under their chin as if contemplating. "Ah! I know! I'll bake a whole tart just for you, the great Grim!"
Grim paused for a moment, blinking, before his eyes twinkled. He perked up, “Woah! A whole tart?! Just for me?” He paused. “Wait, I have to do something first, right? What do I have to do in return?”
Yuu laughed at Grim's sharp intuition. He really knew them too well. They reached in their pocket and pulled out a small list, saying: "We're, uh, running out of ingredients unfortunately, so I'd appreciate it if you can head over to Sam’s real quickly."
Grim sighed, "Fggnaa... chores..." But he took the list anyway. "Can I have two whole tarts, then?"
"No, you only get one."
"But Yuuuu! I'm hungry!"
"Hmm... Well, you can have one whole tart then and a can of tuna from Sam."
"!!! Can I have five--"
"Two tuna cans, at most. You're going to give yourself indigestion."
"Bah!" Grim pouted but he quickly went back to his normal, cheerful self at the thought of eating not just two tuna cans but also a whole tart! Just for him and no one else’s!
He jumped down the counter with the grocery list and headed towards the exit, shouting: "I'll be back soon so make me the biggest and tastiest tart, alright Yuu?"
“Yes, yes…” Yuu chuckled. They stared at Grim’s figure until he was completely gone from their sight before Yuu went over to one of the ovens in the kitchen to take out a tart that was significantly much bigger than the other ones they made earlier. Grim may be small but he sure could eat a lot. Yuu wondered where all the food he ate go.
One of the ghost chefs poked their head in by the doorway and their eyes immediately landed on the tart. "Oh, so fast? And just in time, too! The tarts just sold out!" The ghost exclaimed but Yuu was quick to wave their hands.
"Ah, I'm sorry but, um, this one isn't for sale. I h-had to have Grim get me more ingredients from Sam. I'm afraid the customers will have to wait a- a little more." Yuu gave an unsure and sheepish smile to the ghost.
"Alright then, just call us when you have more!" The ghost said cheerfully before going away to help cater to the students in the cafeteria because of lunch rush.
Yuu turned their focus to the tart, picking up the piping bag and lining it on the pastry. They let their hands go to work as they hummed a merry tune. Nothing but the best for Grim, of course.
Seeing their brother as well as their best friend every day, the thought of bonding and making happy memories with each other, even the idea of making new friends in this place was just so exciting. What more could Yuu ask for in life?
After struggling for years and years, of endlessly experiencing hardship and pain, they could finally relax… they were happy and contented. At long last, everything was all right in the world and nothing could ever ruin this peace.
…Drip, drip, drip…
R-Right…?
The Double Isekai Is back!
Hello...
I have a creative problem :'3
Like ya know... I had one double Isekai with Malleus... And ya know... All is good and well on that end... A lot of crack...
Until I came with another one TwTb
And this time... IT'S ORTHO...
So a few warnings before we proceed: this will have mentions of bullying and also chap 6 spoilers since chap 7 is literally hours away from us(when I wrote this one). :'3
So yep... That's kinda all :3
Now onto the Isekai explanation!
Under the cut cuz I will TERRORISE you with this for a while. /j
So for starters... If you skimmed through my oneshot book... There is a very suggestive title about what Malleus's double Isekai au looks like. So check that out if you want an unhealthy dose of crack. Healthify it by reading it in parts when ya feeling down if you want. :'3
Well we are going to use that premise of: character gets Isekai when they were smol so they can forget everything about twst.
Well... In Ortho's case... He was Isekai around 5-6 years old...
That's right, folks... This bby was Isekaid right when a Phanthom was ready to butcher him up. Right in front of Idia, who thought his brother was presumably dead.
Meanwhile, Ortho is found by a family outside, with different wounds and crying his eyes out. His hair wasn't a flame anymore, instead just a black wet lump on his head due to the rain.
They take him to a nearby doctor/hospital (whatever fancies you more) to see what was wrong with poor Ortho. It turns out he showed signs of amnesia and hallucinations due to a hit to the head. He had no home to go to, so he would most likely be sent straight to an orphanage. The only thing ortho knew about himself was his name, age and that a little gem pendant he had was very important to keep.
Meanwhile, Ortho was starting to bond with the couple that found him, especially with their child, Yuu. Since they were literally 5-6 years old, they quickly got attached as if they were blood related.
And that's how Ortho got adopted immediately by yuu's parents, having them to be siblings! :D
Years did pass and Yuu with ortho were closer than ever. Sure they were still siblings and acted like one was the most insufferable scum of the earth sometimes. But siblings are siblings... We all know what really goes in there, deep down...
Speaking of deep down... Sometimes ortho would be plagued by nightmares. Something about silhouettes screaming his name as he seemed to be dragged somewhere deep, akin to a big hole. Soon those nightmares were speculated to be the product of the bullying he received.
Due to the fact that he was a programmer prodigy and even a genius at exact science, Ortho was often picked on by the bullies or persuaded by the ones who only wanted him to do something for them.
He did wear glasses to help his sight out due to the endless hours of reading and staying in the front of a screen (most likely in twst the digital screens are developed to not tire out your eye), so he pretty much had a shit eyesight. Add to that his curly black hair that lately covered his eyes, having him actively slamming into things he notices too late. Sometimes, Yuu told him that they swore they saw the hair catching a faith blue or another color when Ortho would feel a powerful emotion. Along with the lil odd coincidences.
But no fear! Yuu to the rescue! Since they were a tad bit older by a few months, Yuu took it upon themselves to protect their 'Lil precious brother'. So Yuu being in a fighting arts club(it can vary for whatever fighting style you like...), they took it upon themselves to protect their lil bro from the big bad bullies.
Of course in exchange ortho gave to them the answer sheets to the tests. That's how siblings work, I ain't makin the rules here... :'3
But Yuu sometimes jumps the gun with the protectiveness. When Ortho wouldn't be home, they would immediately call like:
Yuu: ArE yOu GoInG oUt WiTh SoMeOnE?!
Ortho: Yuu... I'm at the grocery store... WITH OUR MOM!
Yuu: doesn't answer my question...
So with this, the base is kinda there... I know we all are here for the Isekai... Now let's get on with it!
It was a start of high-school year day... Like first weeks when everything sinks in that 'welp, you're in high school... Now ya making part of the tired kids'. So of course new things were on board like: new place, new teachers, new friends! All of this shit!
But also some things are still unchanged like the cafeteria food(if there is any cafeteria in your place), gut wrenching homework, oh so dreaded tests and expectations...
And bullies... Ortho can't forget about that one. :'3
Since in first days he showed to be a prodigy and always cowering behind his sibling, Ortho basically had a massive target on him. And since it was a local high-school, it was basically impossible for his old bullies or even some of their aquitances to not recognise him around or have that shitty luck to even run into them several times.
So of course the first moment Yuu wasn't around, Ortho immediately was targeted. Sure, he tried to stand up for himself, but really he was more on the artistic side of sports rather than violent... So all he could do is 'miraculously have a coincidence save him', by having the bullies slip on the floor so he could escape with his laptop tightly holded in his arms.
Meanwhile, Yuu was looking at a mirror that the students claimed it 'suddenly appeared on the hall wall', when Ortho dashed in, not seeing that well due to his hair, slamming into Yuu with force.
And that slam made the 2 to topple in and hit the mirror, which made them to dissappear right before all the students's eyes.
Now sure as hell no one will tamper with that mirror. :'3
Meanwhile, Ortho wakes up in a coffin and tries to get it out. He hears a voice outside searching for something, so he tries like any normal person to kick and scream that he needs to be out because he isn't dead.
Well the lid of the coffin sure gets blown up like Yuu's coffin too. This time, Yuu doesn't question the Raccoon-cat thing that blows fire. They immediately run to ortho to check if they are alright.
This had to be a grand prank... No? Floating coffins? Cult robes? Floating magic mirror?
Ortho does notice that he still had his laptop, so maybe they could use that to figure out wtf was going on...
But before they could do anything, the Raccoon, who by a good listen they found out was named Grim, threatened to make them BBQ.
Cue chase around the campus until Crow man appeared.
Everything goes exactly like in cannon, making the exception that Yuu was tested first, ending up with crow man leaving ortho off the hook bc 'they are a package deal'. Also because it was clear as day Yuu would obliterate him if he dared separate them.
So they go to the library to research from where exactly they came from. Ortho uses his laptop to prove that indeed they were who they claim to be, so crow man has no other option than to believe them and concluded that they came from another world.
The laptop's location function gave only error by now, but the internet surprisingly worked, so they could still bingie watch cat videos or memes. Or google shit about their world. Ortho needs to see those live performances of his fav k-idols after all...
They end up in Ramshackle and ortho has a new quest: find a goddamn power outlet.
They remeet Grim and also meet the ghosts.
Cue cringe af anime poses while holding Grim or protecting the laptop, their only way to kinda try and contact their previous world.
Crowley comes back to see the chaos unfolding. We get to redemonstrate how this shit works, so crow man can leave us alone. But nope! He doesn't! Because apparently now we are Janitors!
At least the night ends up with sum fluffy sibling cuddles.
The next day, the 3 are assigned to clean up the main street. To liven up the mood, Yuu tries one of those choreographies Ortho tries to learn, only for him to correct them and turn into a quirky time of singing and dancing.
Ace comes along and we get an intro of the great Seven. When they reach the King of the Underworld, Ortho's breath hitches for a moment, as if he saw that figure somewhere. He couldn't fathom where exactly, but he knew he saw it before.
And after the history lesson, Ace becomes a lil shit and jumpes a bit the gun when mentioning about the wierd af music these 2 magicless humans were singing, asking if the one singing it was a constipated elephant. (no... Yuu just doesn't know how to sing, Ace... Get over it.)
This time Ortho immediately flares up bc: 'how dare you disrespect my sibling and my fav band?!' and immediately kicks Ace in the stomach.
But Grim decided to square up while Yuu and ortho were minding their cleaning business. It ends up with the statue of the Queen of hearts getting charred and Crowley punishing them with cleaning 1000 glass windows. Ortho does the math like: 'so 250 for each...'
Bow we go exactly like in cannon, because ortho was the smart one who decided to stay behind and do his side of the punishment. Well now reduced to 200 since Deuce was apart of the group Unwillingly. Then find a power outlet in the cafeteria to plug in his laptop and watch sum cat videos or MVs...
Yuu and Grim return trashed and dirty af, but they are happily telling ortho that now all 3 of them will count as 1 student. Ortho does raise a brow at their deplorable state, but doesn't pursue it as Yuu made it clear they don't wanna talk about it.
But in the middle of the night, a collared Ace comes around. Ortho made him to sleep on the floor.
So the next day, they officially attend classes! Ortho did mostly the brainwork and Yuu with Grim the muscle work. Ortho properly meets Deuce tho, the 2 getting along great.
Grim tries to run away, but it doesn't work like that. :'3
Deuce clears out the fact that Ace was kicked out of his dorm. When asked about it, Ace revealed that it was all because of a slice of goddamn tart.
Yuu suggests that Ace should make a tart to compensate for the 'stolen' one. Yuu was actually decent in kitchen, but they still insisted to ask a dorm mate, who knows what their leader prefers, to help out.
They meet Cater. The older ginger gets so perplexed when Yuu and ortho tell him that they are indeed siblings. Like they looked so different you would say they were from totally different countries. Especially with ortho being so pale he could be compared to a ghost. Ortho does mention how his skin seems to be a tad bit more sensitive and so he cannot get a tan no matter how hard he tried every summer. He was just naturally pale.
Cater does bamboozle them into painting the roses for him so he could get them to Trey. But in the end, with some errands to do, Deuce snapping and finding out the truth about eggs and a lot of cooking mishaps... Finally they baked a mont blanc and were very proud of it.
They were ready to dig into the leftovers when Cater comes in and mentions about Trey's UM. It was another term that Brought ortho a lump in his throat, but he didn't mention it as he was surprised to see that the tart tasted like his favorite type of food. Yuu was also surprised, mentioning that if they could do this spell, they would eat anything in this world without any doubt.
But they have the mont blanc! And off they were to present it to Riddle.
Again, it goes like in cannon because ortho is the smart one who decides to just watch these idiots get their asses handled.
But that also means witnessing the overBlot. And that's when we get tricky.
Ortho started to have a headache and suddenly he could hear screams from the past and see misterious silhouettes he wouldn't recognize. He knew how the ob could be defeated and tell it to Yuu as being 'just a hunch'.
Well defeated ob means sad violin montage. Get yer tissues ready, folks...
After the whole ordeal and Riddle coming to his senses, we have an apology unbirthday party re-run. Riddle presented his extremely salty tart and the group collectively agrees to not let the redhead back in the kitchen. Trey is just laughing on the floor.
Once Crowley brings in Adeuce and our Ramshackle trio to tell them about blot, Ortho keeps it silent. Yuu knew their lil bro would totally ask a flurry of questions. So later on, at Ramshackle, they approach ortho about it.
Ortho just tells them that he simply just knew about overBlot. That he saw silhouettes and heard someone screaming his name, just like in his nightmares. And so he starts to get scared, since he doesn't know what is going on with him.
Yuu just hugs him and reassures that whatever will happen, they will stick together and get home one way or another. They are siblings, one will not make it out without the other.
For the rest of the night, they watch along Grim some funny videos on the laptop to cheer up.
A bit of time passes and things seemed to calm down for Ortho. He heard about the magishift tournament and gets curious, much like Yuu and Grim.
Crow man uses their excitement and curiosity for the game to have them investigate the wierd string of accidents.
So with a few interviews of the students at the infirmary, Ortho notices a pattern and tells to the group his theory: most accidents happened on the main hall/staircase.
They notice a security camera in there and decide to use ortho's genius to hack into it.
The problem? It needs to be manually.
So at 1 am, Adeuce are holding up Yuu who holds up ortho on their shoulders, who holds the laptop and connecting it to the camera while Grim is on his head, holding a flashlight for ortho to see what exactly he is doing.
They manage to connect it to the laptop! :D
But what they don't know is that by that, they disconnected someone else from that camera, gaining their attention.
Cue ortho pulling all nighters as Yuu, Grim and Adeuce continue with their investigation by interrogating people.
But at one point, Ortho suddenly got disconnected. He was took aback by this, so it becomes a war in between ortho and whoever else wanted control of the camera.
In the end, enough evidence is gathered and ortho has to leave the camera alone, much to the misterious party's confusion.
Again, things again roll like in cannon, since it was more handled by the Heartslabyul peeps. The overBlot still happened and ortho has almost a breakdown if it wasn't for Grim to snap him out of it.
The Ramshackle gained their place in the magishift tournament tho. Ortho is really eager to play, but because of his breakdown, he managed to get wounded at the foot, so he couldn't play. He was content with watching his sibling play tho. :3
Yuu gets headbutted by the murderdisk. 400K, ultra HD, color!
Both of them end up in the infirmary and fight with pillows. They also meet cheeka when the lil cub went after his uncle.
Adeuce and Grim fill the 2 in with what they missed: the Ignihyde actually making an appearance along with the Diasomnia's performance in the tournament.
Well ortho's foot and Yuu's head are healed completely by the time exams come. Ortho did raise a brow on how Yuu wasn't asking for him to tutor them, as usually this happened. Yuu just insisted that Ortho need a bit of time to clear up his mind and learn for himself. The younger was a bit touched, but also concerned about this motive, since usually Yuu wouldn't leave him alone unless it's really necessary.
The exams pass, but Ortho notices the lack of a bicker in between his friends. Even Grim stood along him more, which he usually wouldn't in favor of 'bossing' Yuu around or squaring up with Ace.
It turns out Ortho made an almost perfect score, getting in the first 50. Yuu was actually no.49, which had them breath in relief. Ortho wanted to ask why they were suddenly so relieved while Adeuce and Grim were fidgety. Yuu just tells him that they don't know why Adeuce and Grim are so panicky.
But as Jack comes to say hello, the anemones pop up. Yuu accidentally sputters out if Adeuce and Grim signed for the deal too, which gained a colective gasp in between the anemoned boys and Yuu.
Ortho is just confused on main. Jack is also a bit confused, but mainly disappointed in them for getting so low as to sign a deal for a cheatsheet.
As the anemones get dragged to Octavinelle, Yuu explained to Ortho that they signed a deal with Ashengrotto. The condition for not being an anemone and working at the lounge was to enter in the top 50, which they did. Ortho asked what did Yuu give as a collateral.
"Oh, I gave the Ramshackle." "THAT'S WHY I WAS THROWN OUT A WEEK AGO BY THAT TALL BITCH?!" "details... Details..." "DETAILS MY ASS!"
Jack just awkwardly stays there and witnesses the screaming match in between the 2. He does pick up a burning smell, but then again, it was a chaos and he feared that if he bothered the 2 siblings, Jack would get his ass handled.
So what to do? Go to the Octavinelle right now and face Azul. Ortho needs his and his sibling's bastard cat back.
Azul surely picks up too the burning smell, but he thinks it's sum dumbass in the kitchen, so he sends Floyd in there. Ortho was just simply bubbling with rage, but he tried to contain himself in there.
Azul notes how ortho looked familiar, but Ortho was there to see the terms of Yuu's contract, since he needed to know if he will dwelve more in the cafeteria or he can go back there and sleep properly.
Azul simply shows him the said contract, telling him that it was now kept as a receipt more. Ortho calms down once he realises that he can safely return to Ramshackle.
But Yuu wants to free the anemones, since they realised Azul scammed them all. Ortho had no say in all, but at least no contract was signed for the meantime.
But that didn't mean Azul forgot them. He put his eyes on Ramshackle after all...
So here it comes the gathering of possible blackmail against Azul. It doesn't work since that guy was good at literally everything on the surface.
Except PE, but then again, everyone knows that already.
The twins finally get a grasp on an alone Ortho, telling him that he seems quite familiar. His face, his voice, his eyes, all seemed quite familiar. Ortho tells them to leave him alone, which the twins tell him that now surely he reminds them of that 'someone' even more.
And that's when they drop the bomb: Maybe that someone can help Ortho with the mistery about himself.
That's when Ortho stops to listen, asking who that 'someone' is. The twins tell him that Azul can have him meet that person, of course for a few terms that are yet to be discussed.
When Yuu searches for Ortho, they are told by a student that ortho was going to Octavinelle along the Leech twins. Yuu almost strangles that student in that rage fit, but Jack stops them and the 2 go to Octavinelle too.
In the V.I.P. Room, Azul was again selling the idea of 'yes, you look certainly like someone I know', to Ortho, although he mentions a few things that are different, mainly the hair, which ortho doesn't really makes it as something that drastic of a difference.
Yuu just bangs the door with a murderous look, ready to unalive both Azul and the twins then and there.
Jack was just there. :'3
Azul does reveal that Ortho might have a quite important connection with twisted wonderland, especially with a certain individual, hard to reach, that only Azul could convince him to meet with Ortho.
Yuu takes ortho a bit to discuss about it. They did ask if Ortho was alright with such a thing. It must be a bit of a mess for him right now, so of course such things was something game changer for him. Ortho says that if he doesn't know, the nightmares will still plague him. And who knows what wierd things might happen to him in the future if he doesn't figure out?
Yuu this time signs again a contract, because they couldn't afford their lil sibling to get in trouble. The collateral was Ramshackle. Azul was extremely generous with his side of reward tho: giving the answers + freeing the anemones if they manage to get him a certain photo from the Atlantica museum.
So we goin under the sea✨🎶
No... I will never get tired of this joke... X3
We see the twins in their mer forms! They are long! And probably really lethal if we piss them off. :'D
So with the first attempt at  getting the photo being busted by the twins, Jack offers for Ortho, Grim and Yuu to sleep at Savanaclaw. Leona puts them to sleep in his room as long as they don't bother him.
Ortho seeks tho a bit of advice. He knew Leona was a dormleader and had family problems, so he wanted to ask what would happen if, suddenly his actual roots would come back at him. Sure, he was adopted and had to live with this label over him all his life. But on the other hand, suddenly he is supposed to have roots in here, which doesn't make any sense in his agenda.
Leona just gives a piece of advice: Life is full of shit. It's important only what you do out of it to matter for you. Rewards don't come without working hard for them. There are lucky and unlucky people and everyone has to deal with everything at one point. It's inevitable. So just do what makes you happy. You will have deal with shit sometimes, but that's not something to be avoided.
Ortho just thanks for the advice and heads on to sleep with Grim. Meanwhile, Yuu meets HoRnI bOi at the Ramshackle porch like it's totally not creepy. Yes, this is my version to the tsunotaro vs Hornton conflict.
The next day, Leona just gets a laugh out of them for being so dumb to sign a contract with Azul. They couldn't steal the contracts as they are 'protected by a magical zapping spell' as Azul told Ortho, but then he adds that it's also a paradox, mumbling more and more until it turns into ortho rambling about the contracts's theoretical and practical proprieties.
So what to do? Ortho has a plan!
Yuu, Ace Deuce and Grim go back after the photo while Ortho, Leona and Ruggie sneak in the VIP room. Ortho cracked open the safe codes using his laptop that Azul left in there, so they could seenlessly take the contracts.
And put a note with a funky donkey in it. Because that is a must. >:3
So when Azul realises that all of it was actually a diversion, he comes face to face with Ortho, who acted like he just came in. Azul asks if he took the contracts. To which Ortho shakes his head.
But Azul saw the pen in ortho's pocket along with the same sticky notes he found in his safe.
Ortho just showed a mischievous smile as he ran out of there, to Leona, Azul hot on his tail.
Welp... OverBlot...
Here we go again... Yuu just Exhales in 'is this a trend among dormheads?'.
Ortho tries to keep a bit his cool. It's the 3rd time. He can handle it! Yuu just throws again hands.
But everything goes slow motion, when his sibling is almost crushed by one of Azul's attacks. Ortho slides in to take the hit.
But it doesn't come at all.
Instead, gushes of wind almost push ortho and Yuu off their feet. When they opened their eyes, they saw that somehow the spell was conquered by something that also hit the overBlot, making Azul to lose his attention and balance enough to get successfully knocked out.
Ortho simply was at loss of words. He asked who saved him and Yuu in the knack of time, but he was meet with just worried gazes, as if something happened while he had his eyes closed.
Yuu breaks it to him... They saw what happened. They saw a blue flame that was summoned and gulped Azul's spell. Ortho again asked who did it, but it was a bit of silence, before Yuu actually spoke.
He did it. Ortho summoned that flame.
Ace adds how he saw an orange fire too, but that went out really quick. Deuce added that the spell must've been really powerful since ortho looked drained of energy. And instead of being 'Woa, I have magic, so cool!' and get all excited as everyone would expect from him, Ortho enters a panic state. This wasn't supposed to happen at all in his mind. It made no sense and it scared him a lot.
Yuu just suggests to stay for a little, drink a bit of water and try to calm down. It works only after a while. And finally things could start to go back to normal a bit.
Yuu and horni boi bond a lil while Ortho enjoys sum cat videos on his laptop along cuddling with Grim.
Yuu wanted to tell Crowley about the magic mishap, but ortho insists, more like begging, to not do it. He had to figure it out on his own before word would get out.
Leona, Ruggie and Jack decided to keep their mouths shut as the octotrio were forced to as a repayment for Ortho as the anemones were freed, but Azul didn't arrange for Ortho to meet this misterious dude it was speculated he might have a connection to.
With the exams off everyone's chest as well as the anemones, the winter holiday is coming in strong!
Crowley gives to Yuu, Grim and Ortho one phone to share in order to contact him while he is off to 'his very important research trip'. Yeah... The 3 just note in Adeuce and Jack's numbers additionally. They also make a gc with the 3 contacts. Just to be safe... Ya know?
But the shit part was that they still had to do a bit of handymen work while dealing with octatrio for the whole holiday. At least crow man promised them a feast at Ramshackle to patch up for it. Which was alright.
Ortho decided to hit the books seriously this time. So he borrowed a lot of them from the library and was studying in the cafeteria, as the Ramshackle was extremely cold, so they couldn't possibly stay in there without being decked in blankets.
They meet Jamil and the Scarabia peeps. And off they are dragged to the desert dorm. Ortho just wanted to study, but nah... Gotta go and party with Kalim and the Scarabia peeps.
Until the Dormhead suddenly switched moods.
Of course the first day of actual scarabia boot camp. Poor Ortho, Grim and Yuu. Even if 2 out of 3 were athletic a bit, they all ended up crawling by the end of the whole march.
But Kalim again has a wierd mood switch and gives them a oasis to cool off.
Already with the second night in, Yuu demanded that they had to get out. They were locked in there and who knew when Kalim would snap again and put them to March through the desert?!
So they break out!
But during all of that, Ortho trips and from his neck, his gem pendant's string rips and falls. He knew he should've changed that flimsy string, but he didn't have the chance. He didn't have a chance to even look for the gem, as the Scarabia students were hot on their tails and they had to escape via magic carpet!
But they get yeeted in the Octavinelle lounge.
Surely it was a wild night for the poor unsuspecting octatrio. :'3
Because Yuu blackmailed them with the fact that they still didn't repay them personally for everything they did to them, they had to help into the Scarabia mess.
And also find Ortho's pendant. Grim knew how ortho was smelling, so the pendant couldn't have a smell that far from their owner's.
Returning to Scarabia, Kalim seemed in a good mood. Yuu explained that Ortho lost something of value in here, to which Kalim happily showed them that he found a wierd gem on the halls, suspecting that it had to come from Ortho.
He shows a blue-ish gem in a silver frame, attached to a broken string. Grim confirms that it reeks of Ortho's usual smell, so the boy happily puts it in his pocket, thanking Kalim for finding it for him.
So first day was more like looking around and analyzing what seemed wrong, which at first looked exactly like normal, despite the Ramshackle trio's accusations and whines.
At night tho, they split up, having Jade alone with Kalim in the treasure room while the others distract Jamil with a game.
Jamil makes a move and asks what's with Ortho's pendant since it looked quite pricey. Ortho replies that he had it since he could properly remember. Yuu also mentions that it was true, since they only saw ortho with that pendant 24/7 since they first meet. Ortho adds that he doesn't know why, but he must keep it at him at all costs.
Jamil theories that it must be an important heirloom, to which Ortho goes silent. Azul thankfully drifts the convo from becoming too sour, shifting it to Floyd's winning streak.
Back in their shared room, the group contemplates about what to do tomorrow with the problem at hand. It was quickly settled a plan.
Later that night, Ortho couldn't sleep. Azul was also awake, asking why he couldn't sleep. Ortho refuses to say, to which Azul figures on his own that it had to do with what happened before, during his own overBlot.
So he takes ortho under his arm and makes a promise: if by any means Ortho needs to have the need to go to someone to vent, he will personally give him a private place and an ear to listen to him. It was a little thing for helping him out after all. And Yuu was always there, which meant it would be super rare for that to happen.
Ortho finally gets out his pendant, asking if it's possible for this to be magical. Azul tells him that he has to find out on his own, as it's his pendant.
Nonetheless, the next day they bust up Jamil like in cannon!
Cue ob, crying Kalim and the infamous: DOKKAAAANNN...
While trying to resist the gush of powerful wind, Ortho sees for a faith second the blue flames everyone told him about. He starts to panic a bit, but has 0 time to process entirely as he found himself flying off along the others, screaming and praying they won't become pancakes for good.
After some talking and convincing Kalim of the truth, they had to return.
That's when they notice that despite the darkness, they had a quite faith light with them. Turning towards the source, everyone is a bit silent or gasping.
Ortho asks why they are all looking at him, so Yuu pulls out the phone for Ortho to see his reflection in it.
His hair gained blue tints and a few blue flames were swishing around, as if the hair itself was trying to catch fire. That gave the faith light.
Of course ortho got a spook out of his, his panic flaring up the flames more and changing their color accordingly. Yuu tries to get close, but Ortho insists to not do that, in fear of burning them.
Yuu is a petty mf and still hugs their lil bro, even going as far as caressing their head when they realised the flames did not burn them.
Kalim mentions that this has to be something akin to 'their' hair, to which ortho perks up, but Jade reminds them of the overBlot.
While on their way back via oasis maker and the twins swimming, Azul tries to teach Ortho a basic shield spell. It's wonky, but they couldn't deny it would be insanely useful in this situation. Wonky as it was.
It proved to be useful, as ortho and Yuu tried to get out of the other's way of attacking, while distracting the hipnotised scarabia students.
Once the overBlot was defeated, Ortho took a breath of relief and his few flames dissappeared too. He still could do the said spell, but, now his hair was again fully black and curly like a mop. Yuu even joked about the 'mop head' being back, which did gain a small giggle from the one in question.
Unfortunately Grim picked that up and now Yuu is (insert fighting style) minion while Ortho is mop minion.
But still... Everything ends up like in cannon, with Adeuce returning, relieved to see their buddies safe.
Of course sum time passed and with the winter holiday over, the classes had to get their students back in.
While on the first day after the holiday, Yuu notices the statues of great 7. They told Ortho about all the shit with the funky af dreams and the knocking in the mirror. Ortho notes how only the king of the underworld seems familiar to him.
But their thought process gets intrerrupted by Deuce bumping into a boy and the boy starting to cry. Ace sure af didn't miss the opportunity to 'call on a teacher'. Yuu palmfaces as Deuce tries to calm down the boy, but he runs off.
Cue idiots leaving this incident aside.
The VDC gets announced and Yuu tries to nudge in their lil bro, saying that Ortho had some affiliation to this kind of shit. Ace asks if it's because of those girls and boys idols from his world, he keeps watching. Ortho gets really into it and explains that he appreciates the work and the music they make. Yuu just likes to watch crack compilations. :D
So with all the pestering, Ortho decides to finally give it a shot. They sign up for it at Rook tho, who does note that ortho looks familiar, to which he said 'yeah, I get that often... Moving on!'.
Like NRC dudes... Please... For 1 second could you NOT say that?
Training for the VDC was, surprisingly, along Jamil and Kalim, who were incredible dancers. Ortho was skilled into dancing as well, unlike Deuce, Ace and Grim's boiling noodles show. Yuu stood this one out, bc that was something they admit they aren't good at and would rather just dance in private or for the gist of it rather than that.
But because Grim still insisted to go in there, Ortho had to be the 2/3 from their student title to go with him. Sure they weren't fully the 1 student they are marked off ass, but still it is above half, so it can still count, ya know?
Yuu escorted them at the auditions, just to and I quote 'watch the good, the bad and the dumb in action'.
They meet again Lilia! Who notes that Ortho again looks familiar. It was at this point that Ortho was growing annoyed by this. They also see Cater and the older ginger happily explains to Grim how idols are in this world, which wasn't that far fetched from Yuu and Ortho's world.
They wanted to watch a choreography video on Cater's phone, but they had to watch an add of Neige. Ortho points out that the clothes look a bit too big for him to be ruled as just 'oversized style'. Yuu Exhales in the distance because here it comes the fashionista Ortho. As if it wasn't enough the whole 'lemme arrange your hair cuz it looks horrible'.
But also, Ace notes that a robot was in there, which gains the robot's attention and so, they are coming to the lil group.
Cue spiderman pointing meme, but it's Human Ortho and Robo Ortho. It was an awkward silence since everyone else knew this was probably fucked up. Robo Ortho notes how this is one of the 3 part magicless student, which was very curious. The human Ortho notes how it was super cool the robot design and all that.
They are very much empty headed in this situation... Like braincells go poof. :'3
One of the poemfiore guys tasked with organising breaks the moment by looking for 'Ortho' to go in, to which both respond. Even more confusion since 'We have the same name! Who is getting in first?!'.
Yeah... Even the poemfiore student is confused, since there are 2 Orthos. So he calls in Rook to see this one. Rook calls in Robo Ortho, saying that human Ortho was written in as a 2 part student this time, which meant he and Grim will share a comune score.
The auditions go normally after that mishap.
And a few days later, the braincell group was getting out of the lessons, when an arrow almost cut their necks off.
It turns out that Ortho didn't make it (Grim basically made his score split in half), but Adeuce did. Well, it was all up to the judge after all, so Ortho congratulated them on their work. He will support his friends after all. Yuu cheers Ortho a bit more by telling him that he will always be no.1 for them when it comes to dancing.
But also ortho, Grim and Yuu are required to come too! Which was a bit wierd!
It turns absolutely normal when Crowley is in there and announces that Ramshackle will be the new training camp place. Ortho is chill with it as long as his laptop doesn't get tampered with. Yuu is chill with it just if you let them eat their cake in peace.
Well... Somehow, both conditions are broken. Vil cursed all the food and also confiscated Ortho's laptop so he wouldn't stay up until late watching shit on YouTube.
The training camp was annoying for the Ramshackle trio and a hell for the others who participated into it. Ortho is actually glad he didn't make it past the auditions now.
But at least they befriended Epel. Epel was a good friend. :D
One night Jamil saw a bug crawling on the floor and he slept outside. :'3
With all the training and ordeals, finally the culture festival day came.
Ortho and Yuu each received 2 VDC tickets each. Yuu immediately gave one to their friend, Horni Boi, while ortho had no idea who he should give it to.
So as he was contemplating who should he invite, he happens to cross paths again with the other Ortho. They again talk for a bit, robo ortho bringing up the fact that he has to convince somehow his big brother to get the hell out of his room besides for the presentation. Human Ortho kinda pities the situation, so he gives to Robo ortho his other VDC ticket, telling him that he could use it to gaslight robo ortho's big brother into going outside.
Both are little gremlins... Pass it on...
On the big day, Yuu, ortho and Grim look around the stalls a bit. They see Jade, Trey and others who at the sports festival didn't have a club stall. It gets explained that the culture festival is the most important for clubs that aren't sports centered.
They also see the Gargoyle research society, but didn't find anyone in there. Bummer :'3
The trio returns just in time to see the rehearsals. First it was the 'NRC tribe'. Yuu still cannot shake the uga booga image formed due to the name.
Next was Neige and the drawves from RSA. Their performance made Ortho to question why tf these guys didn't go to kindergarten with this. Like it would be something that kids would absolutely eat it up.
Then it clicked for him when he heard Leona passing by and whining about his furball of a nephew coming in here to visit.
So he told his theory to Yuu, the 2 failing to see Vil getting to the backstage.
But Grim, Kalim and Rook saw it!
Cue cannon going downhill and overBlot Vil!
At this, Ortho is a bit took aback and his hair suddenly catches the blue flame it caught back in Scarabia. He notices it and mentions more to himself how he forgot to conceal it, to which Yuu ditches the overBlot to ask 'conceal it?! What do you mean?!'.
Ortho ditches the question in favor of not getting killed. He Aparently now has some better profiency at spells, which was also something that Yuu heavily questioned.
In the end, Deuce's UM saves the day! :D
After all of this, Malleus shows up. Everyone loses it over the nickname Yuu gave to this very OP Fae prince. Malleus is entertained by the nickname and ofc fixes the stage as both a thank you for the ticket and an unintentional flex.
Then he notices Ortho and confuses him for the 'little Shroud' who apparently seems to 'lose his flame'. Ortho is quick to retort that he is no Shroud and that most certainly he had no fire hair or something like that, concealing it back to the black curly hair. He is just a simple human from another world, who is Yuu's younger brother with a few months.
After the whole VDC ordeal which goes like in cannon, Yuu takes Ortho to the backstage to talk about it, asking to be honest with them. They are siblings through and though. They can figure it out one way or another.
So Ortho breaks down crying, telling Yuu about how the fire kept coming back and he tried to hide it. He is scared of this, because it meant he belongs in here, which got ortho to theorise that actually, the accident that brought them in here was because of him. He stated to blame himself for Yuu ending up in here and having to deal with this shit. He didn't want magic, he just wanted back home. He just wanted to not be a freak anymore, as it was clear that everyone else considered his case to be wierd and unnatural.
Yuu and Grim both hug Ortho and try to reassure that it will be alright, that he isn't a freak and that he will forever be Yuu's brother. They are a little family. Even Grim is included. They won't allow for anyone to separate them. They will go home one way or another and everything will be OK.
What they didn't know was that someone heard them.
Robo Ortho was looking for the other Ortho to thank him, bc finally they dragged Idia outside and had a fun time together. But he oh so happened to hear the convo. Sure he didn't intend to do it, it was purely accidental... But it was enough to piece together a few things and go tell Idia about it.
So... After that, everyone is tired, so they go to bed. Yuu didn't find Grim after talking with Mickey, so they went to search for them.
Ortho woke up due to yet another nightmare and so, he went out to search for Yuu, finding them wounded and trying to return to Ramshackle. Oh hell nah... Ortho is getting them immediately to the infirmary and calls Adeuce to get on board with searching for Grim, while Ortho made sure Yuu wouldn't pull a smooth brain move and go after the clearly rabid Grim.
Like in cannon, Grim couldn't be found before the Shrouds get him.
Yuu notes that it was the perfect opportunity for Ortho to meet the supposed Shrouds. He just had to go and ask for Grim. Ortho promptly refused. His denial power really was impossible to fight. :'3
So for the rest of the culture festival... It was that invisible thick tension over everyone.
Until the VDC tribe reunites and discusses about the outcome of it. With Vil, Rook, Jamil and Kalim's generous donations to Ramshackle, Yuu and Ortho were happy for finally having Ramshackle be a decent place.
And that is when the Charons come around. Ortho immediately recognises them, but doesn't know from where. But it didn't matter as the Charons tried to get Vil and Jamil.
And they also managed to take Azul, Riddle, Leona and Aparently Idia along the 2 initial targets.
Yuu is blowing a casket about it. Their friends are unconscious in bed, their cat-raccoon is gone and now NRC is dirty af. Ortho is the voice of reason this time, convincing Yuu to chill tf out before they do anything hasty.
Well chill gets thrown aside when they along Epel find out Rook is off to deliver to Vil something.
Cue crazy af broom race. :V
Rook reveals to be secretly filthy rich and also to have tracked Vil using his UM, which was actually cool.
Yuu tries to cheer Ortho, asking what his UM would probably be, but Ortho is still denying it. :'3
They get pom pomified and Yuu doesn't miss to be extra about it.
So they reach Stix and finally get let inside after Yuu blows a casket and Rook is extra af about it. Ortho and Epel are just 'we don't know these guys'.
They get let in and finally they face Robo Ortho and Idia.
Cue awkward af time... Robo Ortho is very welcoming while Idia is a bit shy. Human Ortho hid behind Yuu before Idia could spot him and he was glued in there.
Yuu tries to move and reveal him, but ortho would follow immediately after. Idia notices if Yuu is perhaps constipated, to which they are all like 'Nah... I have my mophead glued to me'. Idia asks what exactly a 'mophead is' and Yuu tries to show but hooman Ortho had none of that. :'3
It's just awkward for Epel and robo ortho since Rook seemed to enjoy this one to the maximum.
At one point Yuu loses their patience and bodyslams their bro before him, accidentally hitting Idia too.
Well isn't that a nice meeting? U-U/✨
Well of course it's a bit of silence once the 2 properly see each other. Human Ortho's glasses fell off so Yuu picked them and put them in their pocket. Human Ortho immediately hid his face with his hair and hands, saying something in between the lines of 'sorry you have to see me'.
Idia looks at robo Ortho who does motion for him to approach the other Ortho. It ends up with Idia telling the others that they can stay in a meeting room while the ob boys finish the tests and everything. There were just a few things he had to discuss with the human Ortho.
Ofc our hooman Ortho promptly refused, trying to stick to Yuu, but instead slammed face first in a pillar. He can't see shit without his glasses after all. Yuu simply gives him his glasses back and tells him that it will be alright. That he needs to know one way or another. Ortho tries to reason that this isn't how he wanted to find out, but Yuu reassures that it would be just a small talk and then they will be back together.
So while robo ortho gets Yuu, Epel and Rook to the said room, Idia guides human Ortho through the Stix halls, towards another room.
It was a very awkward silence in between them, which ortho decided to break by asking if Idia knew about his pendant, showing it to the other. Of course Idia knew about it. He explains that it was a protective pendant, meant to protect Ortho. Ortho notes how that surely didn't work at all back then, nor did in twisted wonderland, to which Idia responds with the fact that protective stones forcefully pull your magic out to react to different dangers.
That explained so much about the wierd bullies incidents, but Ortho wouldn't voice out that one. :'3
Idia goes on about how the Shroud family has a distinctive 'blessing', which gives them the job of watching over the tartarus. He elaborated about the blot and the 'blessing' having a tight connection, before making a pause and stopping on the hall. Ortho halted too and asked why did they stop.
Idia makes a pause before turning to him and mentioning how he thought he was dead. He thought Ortho died during that incident and he could still remember his cries and how his last words were for him to help, but he couldn't. It marked him deeply after all... And that's how robo Ortho was created. And Idia sure as hell loved his robot lil brother to the bone.
To that, Ortho responds that he can bearly remember. He doesn't have a sharp memory like a robot. He isn't and will never be like Robo Ortho, because he lives in the present and changed accordingly, while Idia still seems to live in the past.
At this, Idia cups Ortho's cheek in his hand. He does admit that he may live sometimes in the past, but even if Ortho before him is not like the other one, he will still be a Shroud. It's in their blood and he cannot change that one.
And that's when Ortho's hair ignites and is fully a blue flame. It wasn't now partially flame as it used to be, but a full blue fire.
Ortho gets back and asks what in tarnation did Idia do to him. Idia says that he did nothing, that it was simply coming from inside. He says that he won't force Ortho to stay in here, but he needs to accept one way or another that he belongs in here, that is his destiny.
It turns out, all this time, Idia guided ortho on another way to the room Yuu, Epel and Rook were assigned in. Idia had to go because something came up and gave Ortho sum time to think about it before leaving.
Ortho immediately makes that hiding spell for his hair, takes a deep breath and comes in, getting immediately tackled by Yuu in a hug, asking if he was alright and if they need to deck Idia. Ortho creaks a smile at that and tells them that it was everything alright... He just had to think a bit about it.
But when the power cuts out and seeming something wierd keeps happening, everyone starts to raise a brow. The announcements told about the layers of tartarus melting to which ortho remembers what Idia told him about STIX up until now.
Only the Shrouds were able to tamper with Tartarus. And only robo Ortho was fast enough to tamper with all the tech around. So of course he goes to the control panel to check if his theory was true, which is confirmed when robo Ortho intercepted his attempt at breaking in the sistem.
They needed to get out and Epel happily blows up the door. :3
They meet up with the kidnapped gang and try to blackmail the employees into getting into Tartarus. At first they are skeptical, until Ortho slams his hands on a table as his flame hair returns, this time a very annoyed orange, scaring the crap out of everyone.
But the employees get blackmailed anyway to help them. Since Ortho had 0 control of his magic and could brealy do something with it, he had to stick with Yuu and the pom pom trio.
At least his fire hair is a good flashlight. :'3
Ofc this one goes like in cannon, but with a few tweakings lore wise.
For starters, Robo ortho was gaslighted by the Tartarus Phanthoms. Once defeated they also formed a will for Robo-Ortho too. So now he is his own person too.
After that, like in cannon, everyone goes back to NRC. Ortho wants to hide again his fire hair, but Yuu stops him, telling him that it looks badass and no matter what, they are still their lil nerdy bro.
Ramshackle was renovated tho! It looks super fancy now. UwU
Idia and robo Ortho turn up to visit the new Ramshackle, revealing that now Robo-ortho had his own will and was officially an NRC student.
As for human Ortho... Idia already knew there was 0 chance of him actually staying with him, but he wants to at least be on good terms with him. They were after all brothers...
Human Ortho is still trying to accept everything, but he admits that even if his blood belongs to twisted wonderland and the Shroud family, his home is back in Yuu's world. His family was the one whom he was raised with and whom he loved for so long. Idia can still be his bigger brother... But it will take some time for that to settle in.
And that, theoretically, would make both orthos twins. :'3
So to tell them apart, Idia refers to robo Ortho as Ortho, while for the human Ortho as Orpheus, since this was actually his full name back in Yuu's world.
Yuu still refers to their lil bro as 'mophead'. Now it's a fire mop! :'3
They play video-games and bond a bit more!
And bc this is where chap 7 starts... Imma leave it at this... While I could convert at least that first smol part(really... Why 19? Usually there were more parts coming out... -3-) I decided that perhaps I should wait to convert it fully along the events!(since we have 2 orthos) :3c
So what do y'all think? What shenanigans would probably be valid and what crack potential can it have? Since I kinda went full on angst on this one U-U
Until next time! Buh bye!
Livia leaped forward at Rook, who dodged her attack, both training in their secret area. He blocked her hands, grinning at her. "You must be faster Mademoiselle Flower Huntress, angle your legs to give you more speed!"Rook smiled dodging her claw slash. She did as he said and launched herself at him, her claws raised. He ducked, grabbed her and tossed her over his head, sending her flying. She landed on her back and sighed. "Was that better than last time?"Livia asked. "It was BEAUTÉ! The way you're working harder inspires me too write a beautiful poem about your improvement!"Rook smiled. "Thanks Rook"Livia chuckled. "How about round 2?"Rook asked getting a nod from her. Clapping started them both, Rook turning around finding Silk there clapping. Livia snarled, her ears flattened back.
"Don't mind me, you both keep training, Livia your fighting skills are impressive, you gotta teach me some time!"Silk beamed. Livia rolled her eyes and got up, stretching. "Okay, try and take the stick from me"Rook says picking up a stick. He took off, Livia chasing after him, both starting agility training. She lunged at him, Rook moving to the right then dodging left. "Think outside the box Little Huntress!"Rook chuckled speeding up. Livia leaped up onto a rocks, Rook looking back surprised to find her gone. "HEYYY!" Livia rammed into his shoulder, grabbing the stick as the two fell over. She landed on her back, Rook landing on his side. "Nice thinking"Rook smiled. "Learned it from my mentor!"Livia says proudly as she flicked her tail.
Both got up, getting back to endurance training. Livia kicked out, Rook blocking it with his left leg, making her stumble. She turned and lunged, Rook moving swiftly to the right giving her a small grin of amusement. She leaped up and tackled him down from behind, startling her mentor. "Gotcha!"Livia grinned. Rook bucked her off, sending her flying into her back. He chuckled, looming over her. "Good job, evaded me twice, that's a new record"Rook smiled helping her up. "We'll start with defense training Thursday, I wanna see more improvement Mademoiselle Flower Huntress!"Rook smiled. "Alright!"Livia grinned nodding. She watched him walk away, Silk prancing over to her. "You're amazing little sis!"Silk smiled earning a glare from Livia.
"Don't call me that, you're not my sister, at all"Livia says. "Hey! Wanna go get a snack with me, you must be hungry!"Silk smiled following Livia. Livia snapped and slashed her claw through the air, Silk narrowly dodging it, but a bit of blood fell from her cheek. "GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU PATHETIC WEAK HUMAN!!"Livia yelled furiously. "Livia..."Silk says stunned. "You have no idea what you've just done!"Livia spat her ears flattened back. "Liv, I know how you feel..."Silk says. "YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HOW I FEEL! I HAD TO WORK AND WORK AND WORK TO PROVE TO PEOPLE THAT I AM A TRUE VANROUGE! I WORKED MYSELF TILL I COLLAPSED FROM EXHAUSTION!"Livia snapped. Silk stepped back, her eyes wide in alarm, guilt on her face.
"I WORKED MY BODY SORE FOR MY FAMILY! I NEGLECTED MY FEELINGS AND MY HEALTH TO SHOW EVERYONE THAT I AM LILIA VANROUGE'S DAUGHTER, AND HERE YOU COME DRAINING ALL THE HARD WORK I PUT INTO EVERYTHING!"Livia shouted baring her teeth at Silk. "YOU'RE NOT MY SISTER! YOU WILL NEVER BE MY SISTER, I DON'T WANT YOU AS MY SISTER! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD AND LEAVE ME ALONE, FOR THE LOVE OF THE GREAT SEVEN LEAVE ME ALONE!"Livia spat. She turned and stormed away, her ears flattened back angrily. Silk stared after her, tears falling down her cheeks. "I'm sorry"Silk says loud enough for her to hear. "I know....and I refuse to forgive you"Livia snarled. She walked away, leaving Silk behind, Lilia watching from a tree branch, covering his mouth his eyes wide.
Livia slept on a tree branch, twitching her ears silently, happy to not have to listen to Silk nagging her anymore. "Livia!" She growled and looked down, finding Lilia staring up at her. "Hi Dad..."Livia sighed rolling her eyes. She laid her head back on her arm, her legs and other arm hanging off the branch. "Come down..."Lilia says quietly. "Livia." Livia snarled in fury at the sound of Silks voice and looked down scowling. "Didn't I say to leave me alone!"Livia snapped. She leaped down and started to walk away. "I'm sorry!"Lilia says. She stopped and looked at her father, Lilia staring at him. "I'm your father, I should've noticed how you felt...I never knew how hard you were working yourself to be a perfect Vanrouge..."Lilia says stepping closer.
"I love you Livia and I'm sorry"Lilia says outstretching his arms for a hug. "Your love will pass...."Livia says coldly, Lilia feeling his heart shatter into a billion pieces. "Livia, wait..."Lilia mumbled reaching for her. "Oh, thanks for ruining my nap..."Livia says walking away. She walked across the courtyard, flicking her ear silently without looking back at the two nuisances behind her. She sighed and yawned, climbing up another tree. "Little Hunter?" Leona sat up, and looked up at her. "Leona!"Livia grinned. "Hey brat"Leona chuckled. "Mind if I nap here, my other spot is inhabited by annoyances"Livia grinned. "Yep, go ahead!"Leona chuckled. He laid back down, falling asleep. Livia grinned and yawned, resting her head on her arms as she fell asleep.
An hour later Livia awoke to the sound of footsteps, making her look down, finding Golden, Maria, Shadow and Silver there. "Livia, what did you do..."Golden demanded looking angry. "Eh?"Livia says looking confused. "Why is Dad walking around with a broken look on his face, mumbling that you hate him?"Maria demanded. Livia looked at where Leona was, finding that he had left, and snorted. "Wow...my point finally got across to two of them, but not the other four"Livia says. She glared at them and climbed higher out of view. "Livia Vanrouge, get down here"Golden ordered. "Golden, go jump off of a cliff!"Livia ordered shocking her brother. "The four most accomplished siblings are over here trying to tell me how to run my life, when they can't even control their own and is letting someone control it for them!"Livia spat.
"Maria, you're pathetic crying over a bunch of people who left you for dead wishing they'd come get you, Golden your obsession with Vil disgusts me now you're always around him and everytime we talk it's about him, Shadow get over yourself and your stupid pride, nobody cares about it, and Silver with his dumb sleeping problems yet he wants to be a knight it's stupid!"Livia snapped. "You're over here trying to tell me what to do, when you guys never notice how much I hurt, I'm apart of this family too, I'm the one you guys tossed away for Silk...and yet... I'm the one being scolded, you're all pathetic"Livia snarled. Maria stared at Livia, then turned running away crying. "Did we just...loose our little sister..."Golden asked his eyes wide. "This was what father always feared"Silver says.
Livia turned away, flicking her tail as her back faced them. "Lets go get...him..."Silver says walking away. "He'll be able to talk to her"Shadow agreed following Silver, Golden behind him. Livia stretched, and rested her head on her arms, resuming her nap, only for more footsteps to approach the tree. "Livia Vanrouge, I am severely disappointed in you." Her eyes widened as she looked, finding Trey staring her down, his arms crossed over his chest, giving her a disappointed look. "Trey.."Livia says her ears drooping. "Come talk to me, what's the matter... didn't I teach you to speak about your feelings"Trey sighed. She climbed down, looking ashamed under Trey's disappointed gaze. "Lets go...we can talk while you help me bake"Trey says. She walked after him, her head bowed, Trey glancing back at her before sighing, wondering what had gotten into her.
yuu cooked too much ft. heartlabyul, floyd, malleus, & ruggie
guys i entered a fugue state & wrote angst?? hcs
mc is used to cooking for a big family & accidentally mistakes recipe proportions, leaving them w way too much food. scenarios of them asking diff twst boys if they'd want some, mentioning why. a bit downtrodden with no family to share it with...
trey, cater, riddle... are touched. trey & cater both have big families, & their eyes soften at the mention of yours. trey especially empathizes with you, before he began cooking and baking for the majority of his dorm he cooked & baked for his family. he identifies with the habits of buying groceries in bulk & the need to keep the house stocked with anything five or more people could ever need (just in case). cater's interested to see what kinds of foods you'll cook. make him something from your heritage! he'll magicam it <3 or just save the memory in a photograph if you'd prefer. he'd love to listen to you talk about recipes & regional preferences & tastes. that goes for riddle too! his mom kept him on a strict diet for his childhood, but now that he's got the opportunity he'd love to learn about your heritage & culture! as he grows more outgoing he's learned more about the cultures of his peers & he'd probably be one of the most qualified (& excited) to answer any questions or point out any similarities with twisted wonderland cultures.
floyd... blinks his big wide eyes once, twice, & then launches himself towards you to wrap his arms tight & pick up straight up off the ground. "awwww, shrimpy misses their troupe! shrimpy's aaalways welcome to bring me dinner! we can play house!! i'll be the dad, you'll be the mom, azul will be our baby, and jade... he can be the dog and go play outside or something." ('- , -) you better stop him before he gets ahead of himself. least likely of octavinelle to bother you about selling the recipe to azul ((he'll give you a cut of the profits!)). still makes you cook in the mostro lounge kitchen, but only because he wants you to grow to feel more at home with him & in an environment he's used to... that way when he gets serious about his & shrimpy's relationship....
the adeuce duo... both go... quiet, at the mention of your past. it wasn't something you avoided talking about when you were reminded of something relevant, or things you enjoyed or saw, but... you don't talk much about your family. they don't ask much about your family. deuce feels a twinge of guilt—he doesn't shy away from talking about his mom, & he loves her too dearly to be ashamed or shy. he wonders if they make you feel as loved as his does. ace wonders if he should ask you about them more often. he's not exactly shy about his own family, but he doesn't exactly ever seek to bring them up in idle conversation. he wonders what your siblings are like. they give each other a resolved look above your head when you're not looking, & now they regularly (as much as they can) come over for dinners at ramshackle! if you're comfortable with it, they invite all the first years too. you hope they feel as familiar & familial to you as you feel for them. they hope you know they do.
malleus... feels a twinge in the back of his throat—maybe behind his eyes? his truest friend feels alone, something he recognizes deeply. he hasn't lost anyone close to him like that—at least, he doesn't feel like it. his lonely was a different sort, where he's never really known family like you have. but, he considers, maybe no one at this school has had to sacrifice more than his prefect. he wonders what dinners were like with that many, & you tell him. the bickering, the debates, the movie nights & commentaries, the nights spent making s'mores(?) over the fireplace. he wants dinners like that with you. you invite him to.
ruggie... might invite you to spend some time over with his family. not immediately, no way, but the thought lingered in his head long enough for his throat to burn with the words (& his cheeks to burn in embarassment). in reality, he grins a big wide grin & laughs his mischeivous little laugh. "i'll NEVER say no to free food. feel free to keep it coming! shehehe." he ends up coming over to help you cook a few times a month. it's a good excuse to spend time with you over a dinner he knows was cooked with love.
i had to google what a group of shrimp is called lol. could've actually been troupe OR run OR colony. i wonder if it's ooc that floyd knows this.... i mean, he is a fish man, so 🤷
Brother Knows Best
Tumblr media
Note: OMG!! What is this!? I, Lux, FINALLY finishing something and posting it?! Has a miracle truly happened?!
Anyway, I'll just write the sibling of this one as a year younger than Azul, and the sibling was also be an octopus merfolk. I'm going to mention the reader having interests in some stuff, so please don't get offended if it doesn't apply to you. You can always just replace the traits I put as a trait of yours!
And imma just use Ashengrotto as the family name, cuz idk if Ashengrotto was the last name of Azul's bio father, or step-father, or the maiden name of his mother.
Warning/s: Parents divorcing, Split custody, Angst, Spoilers to Azul's backstory and past, Spoilers to Azul's Ceremonial Robes vignettes, Reader is mentioned to have somewhat similar features to Azul (specific features aren't specified), Tell me if I missed anything
Full post under the cut!
-----
"Big brother! Why are you crying?" A slightly smaller mer-octopus swam closer with a concerned expression.
Azul, who was hiding in an octopus pot, looked up to his sweet and innocent little sibling. The 7-year-old boy's eyes soften, and Azul knew that it was only a matter of time before his baby sibling, [Name], would go through all the bullying and teasing as well.
But Azul didn't want that. He wanted [Name]'s cute smile to last forever. He wanted [Name] to not have to see and experience the horrors of simply being themself. He wanted to protect [Name] from everything and everyone who dared hurt them.
Azul's heart squeezed in his chest as he realizes that he can't. He can't protect [Name]. Azul couldn't even protect himself! He truly was... a weak, dumb, slow little octopus...
Tormented by his thoughts, Azul continued sobbing, hiding further into the octopus pot, hiding his chubby face from his little sibling.
"Don't look at me!!" Azul cries out, accidentally spitting out ink from his tentacles, staining the waters around them. The mess caused Azul to cry even more, the ugly black liquids reminding him of what the other kids told him.
[Name] frowns softly, they didn't know why their big brother was upset. The younger mer-octopus moves closer to the octo-pot, trying to coax their older brother to come out.
"Zul-ie.. what's wrong? I don't like seeing you sad..."
Upon receiving no response, the younger child purses their lips in a pout.
"Come onnn...! Mom and dad made dinner! They made fried chicken! Your favorite!!"
---
"Big brother!! Look, look! Wanna hear this song I learned on the piano?!"
Piano keys played a gorgeous melody under [Name]'s fingers, and Azul watched with wide eyes full of wonder and pride. Azul felt a small sense of envy in him, but he couldn't find it in himself to acknowledge the jealousy, because Azul was too proud of his younger sibling to do that.
And yet...
As [Name] learned more and more, Azul couldn't help but feel... left behind.
As though [Name] doesn't need him anymore.
But... but that isn't true right? [Name] needs Azul... right...?
As days and years pass by, nagging feelings of envy and worthlessness bubble up in Azul as he watches his sibling shine.
'I should be proud of them,' he thinks to himself as his mind wanders while he was studying.
---
'Mom and dad don't love each other anymore...'
Those were the thoughts in the two siblings' heads while they listened to their parents argue for what felt like the umpteenth time. And today, it seemed as though everyone in the house had finally had enough of the screams and shouts.
Around a month or so later, the Ashengrotto family were in court, for a divorce trial. It was a somewhat long process, but the judge's words hit the two children like a truck.
"Mrs. Ashengrotto is to be given custody over Azul Ashengrotto. Whilst Mr. Ashengrotto is to be given custody over [Name] Ashengrotto."
When the Ashengrotto family split up, Azul and [Name] were desperately trying to stay together. It went to the point that their parents had to pull the crying siblings apart because [Name] and their father had to leave.
"Big brother!!! NO!!"
"[Name]!!! Don't leave me please!!"
---
"DON'T LEAVE ME!!"
Azul wakes up with a start, sitting up from the bed with wide eyes and heavy breathing. His hair was frazzled in a bedhead, and he quickly looks around.
The Octavinelle Dorm Leader recognizes his dorm room, and breathes a sigh. Not one of relief, but one of exhaustion. Azul reaches to his bedside table and takes his glasses, putting them on as he checks the clock. 5 am.
Next to the clock, Azul sees the small picture he placed. A family picture of him, his mother, his father, and his younger sibling. It was taken before his parents had divorced. When they were all happy...
Azul stares at his younger sibling in the picture, yearning to see them again. He reaches out a bit, but stops himself and shakes his head. 'Now is not the time', he thinks to himself. He shakily stands up and starts getting ready for the welcoming ceremony of the new first years of NRC.
Azul leaves the room and passes by Jade and Floyd's shared room. The house-warden could hear Floyd's complaining through the door and he sighs, knocking on the door and speaking.
"Floyd, would you stop complaining? Jade and I have to get ready for the Welcoming Ceremony, and you and the others have to start preparing for the welcome party for our new first years."
Almost immediately, Floyd replies with a slight whiney tone. "Says the person who wasn't wrung out like a rag for some lotion! I can barely walk!!" Azul could almost hear the pout in Floyd's voice and sighs in exasperation, listening to Jade trying to calm his brother down.
Deciding to leave the twin eels alone, Azul starts to walk away and head to the Lounge to make sure the preparations are going smoothly. As he walked, his mind can't help but wander to thoughts like if he and his own younger sibling would have a similar dynamic to Jade and Floyd. Hm, or would their dynamic be more like Idia's and Ortho's? Likely not, perhaps.
These thoughts weighed in Azul's mind, and he feels himself shaking his head, trying to rid himself of those thoughts. He hasn't seen his younger sibling for a long time; but Azul certainly hopes that [Name] didn't have such a drastic change like he did.
For some reason, Azul couldn't bear the thought of his previously happy-go-lucky and outgoing [Name] to be anything else other than such a happy mer-octopus. It was wishful thinking, but what kind of older brother would he be if he didn't wish only the best for his younger sibling?
---
When the time came for the Welcoming Ceremony to begin, the Housewardens (exceot for Malleus Draconia, who likely didn't receive the invitation, Azul thinks) were all lined in a circle surrounding the mirror, waiting for students to be sorted into their own dorms.
As each student was being sorted to their dorms, Azul takes the time to look at each student that seemed to catch his attention. None seemed very relevant thus far, maybe a few people he could exploit here and there.
"Next student!"
A student dressed in the NRC Ceremonial Robes stepped out of the crowd of the unsorted first-years. Their hood was on and casting a shadow down their face as they walked towards the mirror.
"State thy name." The mirror said when the student stepped up.
Suddenly, the student spoke a name that ran a shiver down Azul's spine. A name that Azul never thought he would hear no matter how much he wished to hear.
"[Name] Ashengrotto."
Jade raised an eyebrow and turned to Azul curiously, and some other students who recognized the last name also snuck some glances to the Octavinelle Dormleader. Azul could vaguely hear Idia's voice through the floating tablet, saying things like, 'Plot twist?!', but he paid no heed to it.
Azul's eyes were wide, and his mouth was lightly agape in surprise. His younger sibling... studying in NRC?!?
Questions ran through Azul's head in that moment. How is his younger sibling doing? Do they still like to play the piano? Or perhaps they still continued collecting those sea shells? Did [Name] still want to be a singer when they grew up? Do they still enjoy chasing their tentacles like a dog liked chasing its tail? Do they still have that same smile they always did; the one that brightened any room they were in and made their eyes glimmer like the stars land-folk liked to gaze at?
The Dark Mirror spoke again, "The shape of they soul is..."
Azul was beside himself with worry and anticipation. What dorm would his younger sibling be sorted into?
'Octavinelle, Octavinelle, Octavinelle', Azul chanted in his head, hoping for the Dark Mirror to sort [Name] in the dorm he was in.
"... Octavinelle!"
It took almost everything in Azul not to let out a sigh of relief, but he was celebrating in his mind. Suddenly remembering that he was the Dorm Leader of Octavinelle, he stepped up and made himself known to his beloved younger sibling.
Azul mustered up an amicable smile (and those who knew him were rather surprised at how genuine Azul's smile looked), and spoke. "Welcome to Octavinelle, right this way please."
[Name], not having realized who the person underneathe the hood was, nodded and walked to the crowd of Octavinelle students, waiting for the Welcoming Ceremony to be over.
---
After a rather tiring Welcoming Ceremony, with an entire fire getting started by a racoon-cat-monster named Grim, all the students (save for that one student who couldn't get sorted to a dorm) were allowed to leave and go back to their respective dorms.
The Octavinelle first-years were granted a delicious meal and celebration, and were all briefed on their duties in the Mostro Lounge. The entire time, Azul kept sneaking glances at [Name], which wasn't really left unnoticed by the twins or by [Name] themself.
Azul eventually mustered up the courage to approach his younger sibling and struck up a conversation.
"[Name], it's very nice to see you..! I'm Azul, remember? Your older brother?" Azul's voice was one of slight anxiety, did [Name] eveb remember him? It has been a while since they last even heard from each other..
[Name] turns to look at Azul and nods a bit, smiling a little. "Ah, right. It's so nice to see you again, Zulie."
Being referred to his favorite childhood nickname made Azul smile softly, but he couldn't shake off the surprise at seeing the change of demeanor in [Name]. Back when they were younger, [Name] was much more outgoing and enthusiastic compared to this [Name], who seemed to want to curl up in a ball when someone else tried making conversation with them.
Not even their smile fully reached their eyes anymore. Just what had happened to his beloved younger sibling in the time he was gone?
Internally hoping that his younger sibling hadn't changed too much, Azul tried to continue the conversation. "Ah, do you.. still play the piano?"
[Name] shook their head and smiled a little sheepishly in reply. "Oh, no I don't anymore. Atleast, not as often as before. I still play it occasionally, but I don't exactly find it as fun now."
"What about collecting sea shells? Surely, you still find that enjoyable?"
"Dad and I lived in a more colder part of the ocean, and there weren't a lot of sea shells to collect. So, no, not really."
"Ahh, I see... what do you like doing nowadays, then, [Name]?"
"Oh, well..." [Name] then proceeds to tell their older brother of their interests; though most (if not all) the things the younger Ashengrotto listed were things Azul weren't very interested in.
Regardless, Azul nods in understanding, trying not to mind how much his sibling had changed.
The next few weeks after that, Azul had found it hard to approach [Name]. Why? Well, maybe it was because of the fact that his younger sibling had grown rather attached to the Ramshackle prefect and a certain trouble-making trio (Ace, Deuce, and Grim).
Azul had enough of it, seeing his younger sibling get roped into trouble from their group of friends. When [Name] had came back to the dorm with the Heartslabyul's dorm leader's collar on them, Azul had to pull his younger sibling aside to talk.
"[Name], may I ask exactly why you have Riddle's collar on you? What did your friends bring you into this time?" Azul asked [Name] as they spoke in Azul's office. Azul was looking at his beloved younger sibling with furrowed brows and a scrutinizing expression.
[Name] replied, "It's a.. long story, big brother. Yuu, Ace, Deuce, Grim, and I were at Heartslabyul's Unbirthday Party. Dorm Leader Rosehearts got mad at us and collared us and kicked us out of the party because a rule was broken.."
Azul sighs in disappointment and exasperation. He can't believe his younger sibling associated themself with such troublemakers.
"[Name], honestly, why do you even hang out with such people?! They're getting you into trouble!"
[Name] tries to defend themself, "They don't mean to! And I can't just stand by and watch as my friends suffer on their own!"
Azul starts to get a little frustrated. Can't they see, those group of 'friends' as [Name] calls them are terrible influences. It's only a matter of time before they start using [Name] for their own benefit, Azul is sure about that. After all, [Name] has always been rather straightforward in the way that they won't hesitate to help (such values were strange to see in a school like Night Raven College). And Azul knew what happened to people like that; they get exploited, wrung out like a rag, draining them out until there's nothing left to give.
If [Name]'s friends were anything like the other students of NRC (like how Azul would treat his 'clients'), it would be so, so much worse for [Name]. Oh, Azul could practically see it now; it'll start small, like helping out with homework or lending some money. Eventually, it'll be like his younger sibling got the life and kindness sucked out of them, leaving them burnt out like a poor, unfortunate soul!
And Azul can't and won't let his beloved younger sibling go through that. He won't let [Name] fall from grace so terribly like the people who've broken their end of the deal with him.
And that is what Azul tells [Name] (leaving out the parts that paint Azul as the scheming businessman he is, of course) in an effort and attempt to dissuade his sibling from staying friends with their troublemaking friends.
"Don't you see, my dear sibling? They're only using you and their troublemaking schemes would run your student record through the mud. They're getting you involved in so much drama and troubles, and as your older brother, I'd hate for you to be surrounded by such terrible influences," Azul says.
[Name] frowns a bit. Azul worded it as though they hadn't done anything wrong, which wasn't all that far from the truth, though. However, [Name] also knew that Azul was thinking that they were being dragged against their will to help out, which they weren't.
"Big brother... I'm helping out willingly, because I want to. Besides, they're my friends. Didn't the Sea Witch always help other people? We're Octavinelle students, we must always follow the Sea Witch's values."
[Name] replies. The facts about Octavinelle and the Sea Witch were things that the younger Ashengrotto used to try convincing Azul to let them go.
Azul clicks his tongue, his eyes narrowing as he pushes up his glasses that were starting to fall a bit. "Then perhaps you should try getting better, more behaved friends instead of the ones you have right now. What happened to the well-behaved [Name] I used to know?" Azul mutters under his breath, but [Name] could still hear Azul's words.
[Name] frowns at the last question. "What 'happened' is that life happened, Azul. Not everyone stays the same! I've changed!!"
Azul, however, has difficulty getting behind the thought, shaking his head in denial, "Then change back!! [Name], I want the old you! The one who'd listen and trust me without a second thought! The one who was dependent on me! The one who actually made me feel special!!"
That was the last straw for [Name]. They have grown tired of their older brother trying to keep them the same as they used to when they were a child. Can't Azul just let go of the past? "Well that [Name] is gone!! I'm independent now, Azul! I'm not a child! Stop treating me like one!"
[Name] shouts in a burst of anger, before their eyes widen, not having expected themself to actually blow up like that. Not necessarily regretting it, though, the young Ashengrotto quickly turns away and leaves Azul's office, ignoring their older brother's shouts for them to come back.
---
Azul breathes heavily as he falls to his knees, watching as his younger sibling walks away from him, closing the door behind them. The sight can't help but remind Azul of the time when he and [Name] were separated; just this time, [Name] was being pulled away by their 'friends' instead of their father.
Azul can't believe this!! Did [Name] really just walk away from him?! After everything Azul did in hopes of having his dearest sibling back?! How dare they!
How dare they change! How dare they change so much to the point Azul barely recognizes them! How dare they move on from the past so quickly, as if it didn't bother them! And how dare they even think of choosing their friends over him!
How dare they make him cry! How dare they say words that hurt far more than when those pesky merfolk would bully him!! How dare they leave him there, with tears falling down his eyes and with a heart aching for family!
How dare they, how dare they, how dare they!!
Azul takes a deep breath of resolution, his eyes narrowing behind the glint of his glasses. Never mind, then. He'll show them, he just knows it.
Azul calls the Leech twins over to the office, preparing to make a plan for the upcoming exam season, a list of specific names he wants them to target.
He'll show [Name]. He'll show them that he's right. That big brother knows best.
hello~
Can i actually request about being Azul’s siblings but angst that he started being slowly distant when he got friended with the twins until reaching to NRC especially one dorm with him and he doesn’t like to be addressed as ‘brother’ and treated you as inferior before he overblot? and perhaps if you don’t mind tho what happened after his overblot?
ooooo yes! I love the sibling relationships with the TWST characters both wholesome and angsty. Of course I don't mind writing as much as you want! This even ended up longer than I expected it too! Thank you so much for the request!
Azul as a sibling (Broken relationship edition)
you and Azul used to be close
growing up with him, you saw the other kids pick on him and you knew about his insecurities
you were always there to defend him whenever you saw it
and you reassured him that what they said wasn't true
you would always be standing outside his octopot and keeping away other students so he wouldn't be teased
and so you two were close
but then one day in elementary school, there were a couple of eel twins
Azul was being picked on and curled up in his octopot when the twins approached
they actually talked to him and weren't really mean so you didn't stop them
and Azul actually became friends with them after a bit
but once they became friends, he started spending less time with you
while you could still hang out from time to time, he spent most of his time with them
you'd often see him planning and burying himself in spell books too
and the twins even helped keep bullies away from him
of course you're happy he has friends
and it's great that they help him out
but it really hurts when you want to spend time with him and he tells you he's too busy
especially because when he's "busy" the twins still hover around him
still, you tried to spend time with him a little bit while at home
and he couldn't always push you away
but every day he started to spend less and less time with you and more time studying magic
by the time the two of you were enrolled at Night Raven College, you barely see him anymore
you were a little hopeful when you two ended up in the same dorm
and the twins also got into Octavinelle
for a second you thought that you could try to spend a little time with him
but those hopes were destroyed very quickly
you wanted to try talking to him so you called out to him
all you said was "Brother!" and he immediately turned around with a scowl
all he said was to not call him that before walking away
so maybe he doesn't want to talk to you
you carried on with your school activities and watched Azul from afar
you're not exactly sure what he's been doing, but he seemed to socialize with students a lot more than he did before
and he also seems more confident in himself
eventually he even talked with the headmage and opened a lounge
it was very surprising actually
your brother who used to be very shy and meek is now running a lounge
it was even more surprising when Jade came up to you saying that Azul wanted most Octavinelle students working there, including you
you accepted (the eel didn't give you much of a choice) and started working immediately
unfortunately, you got stuck with some of the worse jobs that no one wanted to do
this included dishes, taking care of trash, cleaning the bathrooms, and generally cleaning any spills
even while working there, you didn't see much of Azul
he spent most of his time in the VIP room
not many people were allowed in there
it was only Azul, the twins, and anyone he wanted to speak with
while working, there would sometimes be students that point out that the two of you were siblings
those students were often dragged to the VIP room and looked very scared when coming out
and they never mentioned it again
it's like hardly anyone knew you were siblings
it's like he didn't want anyone to know
as if he didn't want to be associated with you
and then one day Jade told you that Azul wanted you in the the VIP room
you went in the room and Azul didn't even look up at you
he was to busy writing something
you sat down on one of the couches and awkwardly waited for something to happen
still not looking up at you, he just told you to sign and slid a piece of paper in your direction
looking at it, it was a contract
it said that you would work and do anything he wanted you too, and you could never tell anyone that you were related, you used to be close, or even give details of his childhood
in return you get some of the better jobs like actually dealing with customers and more discounts
you knew of his unique magic
if you signed this contract you would be forced to follow it
of course you didn't want to sign it
and you told him that
this time he actually looked at you
"Is your head so thick that you can't see how I'm trying to help you? You'll get a better position and discounted items. You should consider yourself lucky that I'm kind enough to offer your poor soul something better. Normally I wouldn't even waste my time with someone like you, but my benevolent nature is simply too strong. Besides, this is beneficial for both sides and you'll kindly be helping me as well."
if there was any hope for you and Azul to get along someday, it's certainly dead now
did he really see you so far beneath him?
he really thought that low of you...
but he phrased it in such a way that made it sound like you would be helping him by signing
and he is your brother after all, even if he doesn't want to admit it
so reluctantly, you signed
and he promptly asked you to leave afterwards
things weren't so great after that
while you did get some of the better jobs, you still had to do some of the worse ones
and this also means you had to work more
on top of that you couldn't refuse anything he said
not that he acknowleged you too much after that
he mostly asked Jade or Floyd to tell you what he wanted
because you weren't worth his time
then he started making contracts with more people
and the Mostro Lounge had...too many workers to keep up with
they all signed a contract with Azul, and now they payed the price
but then a bunch of Savanaclaw student showed up one day and caused so much trouble in the lounge
they caused such a mess and spilled everything and you were already dreading the cleanup later
but then you saw Azul
he was clearly upset and frustrated at everyone around him
for a second, he almost looked like the same Azul that used to get picked on
but then the dark ink seemed to consume him
as much as you wanted to help, you were too far away, everyone around you was scrambling, and the students involved seemed like they were trying to keep others away
Azul wouldn't want your help anyway
he'd hate to know that you helped save him
but he was your brother you couldn't just stand by and let it happen
the other students were able to save him before you could even get there
and you kept your distance
Azul was a bit of a wreck after that
you found out that all of his contracts got destroyed so you weren't bound to yours anymore
but you still didn't call him brother
he didn't want that anyway so it just sort of stayed
after his overblot he started acting different
while he still didn't talk to you much at first, he was around you more often
he didn't spend as much time in the VIP room and actually came out to work with everyone else
sometimes he did sort of...hover near you
it was like he wanted to say something, but instead he'd just fidget and look frustrated
the twins seemed entertained by it at least
and then he invites you to the VIP room again
when you enter he's a bit fidgety and won't look at you
you ask if he wants another contract and he's surprised
no one has even mentioned contracts to him since he overblotted
but he says no and that he actually has a new work schedule for you
when you take a look you're amazed
less hours and you don't have to do those horrible jobs anymore???
it was really amazing
since then he even has been trying to make conversation with you
he's incredibly awkward about it tho
he doesn't know what to say so he's searching for something you may be interested in
he wishes he did more research on you in the past to know what you like now
still, he's trying
but what really changed was his attitude towards you
so when some customers were being annoying and complaining about you one day, he actually came to your defense
"Excuse me? It would be wise to watch what you say. After all, that's my sibling you're talking about."
HELLO. I really liked ur writing about twst housewardnes and them having big sis! And Vil's part was so heartbreaking... So maybe u can do another one but how they act if they have lil sis???
A/N: oh, glad you like it. sure, why not.
TWISTED WONDERLAND BOYS AND HOW THEY WOULD ACT IF YOU WERE THEIR LITTLE SISTER
cw: light angst
Malleus Draconia. 💚
— Once again, I am not sure if a few years make that much difference for fae people, so, it is not going to be that different;
— But Malleus really enjoys calling you ”little sister”;
— And with a great power comes a great responsibility! He thinks insecure all the time, thinking that he is not a good big brother and there is not much he could teach you;
— Since both of you ignored in the school, I think he also could blame it on himself in some parts;
— You will need to reassure him A LOT;
— But, overall, it stays the same: you are his best company as he is yours. No one and nothing could change that.
Riddle Rosehearts. ❤️
— He loves you very much, but the only child treatment he had ever seen, was the way his mother treated him, and he considers it to be a love;
— He tries to keep you very restricted, with all those rules and constant studies;
— So, when you start breaking his rules and running away with other kids, he gets devastated. Was it how kids always behaved? Why he was never like this? What is the meaning of it?;
— Honestly, he is over-controlling, and quite restless, when it comes to you, but only because he can't understand what to do with you;
— If or when you break down in front of him, telling how much he reminds of mother, and how much pressure he puts on you... He will overblot, most likely.
Kalim Al-Asim. 🧡
— He always wanted a sibling, so he was so excited about you! Probably, spoke with you a lot, when his mom was still pregnant, lmao;
— Literally the best big brother ever! Spent all his time with you, taught you everything he could and know. You are his little princess, and your smile is everything to him;
— Loves bragging about you so much! Always shows your photos to others, listing all your achievements and positive qualities;
— He has this habit to share all his meals together with you, so it is really rare for two of you eat separately;
— I feel like there are no arguments between you as both of you too soft to eachother.
Idia Shroud. 💙
— He is really, really awkward with you;
— He takes care of you in a very subtle way, when you can't notice that. But all other time, he runs away from a direct contact;
— It will be easier for him to connect with you as you grown-up, though! As soon as you are teenager, Idia speaks easier with you, and constantly tries to play with you;
— If you share his interests, then congratulations! You are inseparable now!
— If not, though, he finds hard time to interact with you, but he really tries to watch out for you.
Leona Kingscholar. 💛
— It was a relief for him that he is not the youngest anymore, lol;
— I think, he was planning to ignore your existence, mostly, but Farena dumped you on him, and since he was still a child, he felt easier about taking care of you. He was alone all the time, so your company was a nice thing;
— Probably, spoke with you seriously and seemed to understand you, when you blabbed in gibberish, lmao;
— He feels bad for you constantly, because considering how dazzling and loved Farena is, and how scandalous his own reputation is, people tend to forget that Kingscholar brothers have a sibling;
— So he tries to make it up in his own way... By spoiling you all the time. He buys you everything you want, and if you make a very sad face, he will do everything you ask, too;
— As all Savannaclaw men he finds women more powerful, naturally. So he values you very much, and if anyone tries to belittle you, they will be dead.
Vil Schoenheit. 💜
— He actually... Doesn't have time for you?;
— He is busy all the time, always in his own world, so you are quite by yourself most of the time. Sometimes, you celebrate your birthday all alone, and he only sends some gifts or postcards;
— You are his shadow, his not that famous little sister, and everyone wants your company just because you are his sibling;
— Actually, I think Rook pays you more attention than he is, and when Vil realises it by speaking with him, as he mentions your favourite hobbies, he feels... Envious and sad;
— His brother instinct kicks in, and he tries to make it up for you, by taking you everywhere, and teaching you everything he can.
Azul Ashengrotto. 🩵
— Okay, hear me out, but he is the type of big brother that embarrass you in front of others all the time;
— ”When she was younger she got actually sucked in the sewerage!“
— “Shut up, it is literally not true!”
— But I feel like he will be a very overprotective brother? Yes, he might appear busy, but he is always here for you! Just ask him, and he will arrive;
— Makes sure so you will not feel lonely or insecure. Always comments on how nice and smart you are, and encourages you a lot. Spits flattery such as oh, one day you will beat me up, my little starfish!;
— If anyone else he trusts you with, it will be Jade.
imagine... (sibling edition) || dorm leaders
masterlist characters: riddle, leona, azul, kalim, vil, idia, malleus genre: angst contains: unhealthy sibling relationships, reader being compared to siblings, feelings of self-worth summary: a series of ideas involving the dorm leaders' possible relationship dynamics with a younger sibling. notes: so twst huh? i kinda wanna elaborate on some of these but only if you guys want it? i know it's not the normal stuff i write but twst brainrot has me good. also insp by luxaryllis :D
imagine being riddle's little sibling that becomes entirely reliant on their family's rules. you are so used to being told what to do that you never develop the skills to make decisions for yourself. you've memorized your mother's rules as well as the queen's in nrc's by heart. you live by those rules and once your brother (post overblot) tries to establish a real relationship with you, you don't know what to do.
cont. rules of a roseheart
imagine being leona's little sibling that is completely overshadowed by the two elder kingscholars. falena is highly praised for being the heir to the throne and the "most well-off kingscholar child". leona is often scolded and gossiped about being the lesser sibling, the one that shows no interest in the throne along with the ability to bring about a drought at will. and you, the last kingscholar that is scolded for not being as good as their older brother falena and for not being better than leona. all you know is comparison with no real sense of identity.
cont. the lesser kingscholar
imagine being azul's little sibling that forced themselves to grow up fast. you grew up watching your older brother hate how he looked and so you, in turn, hated how you looked. you forced yourself to grow up fast in the hopes that a) you would no longer look the way you did and b) protect your older brother from the people that bullied him relentlessly.
cont. the ashengrotto octopot
imagine being kalim's little sibling that, despite being spoiled just like the rest of your siblings, felt like you were nothing but a face in the crowd, both to kalim and your parents. not much you could do in a family with 32 children. no matter what you did, it was overshadowed by another of your siblings. you grew up believing that, whatever you did, there was always someone better than you.
cont. one of the asims
imagine being vil's little sibling that grows up despising the attention your family name gave you. you're expected to live up to your older brother's legacy, only to fall flat when they realize you lack... well, everything that he has. you try your hardest because you want to make your family proud, but no matter what it's always demeaned and you're told you won't amount to your brother's success.
cont. schoenheit stardom
imagine being idia's younger sibling that often hears how they should be more like ortho. you're told that you need to be the model child just like ortho is. and when you don't meet their expectations, you find yourself wishing that, whatever happened to ortho, happened to you instead. maybe then you could be a good child.
cont. the unwanted shroud
imagine being malleus's younger sibling that saw their brother as an untouchable figure. you grew up hearing that he was a terrifying person. he was terrifying in two ways, one being his magic and the other being his status. of course, it wasn't really your choice. it just sort of turned out that way, what with the duties he has.
Does sebek inherit the long lifespan of a fae or does he just live longer than the average human? Like let’s say croc fae live for like 5000 years. Would sebek inherit that lifespan or would he only live for half of that? Did he inherit that long lifespan since he looks and acts his age?
Tumblr media
There has (so far) been no indications as to how the lifespan of a half fae/half human like Sebek compares to that of a full human or a full fairy. (So no indication whether he has a human's life expectancy or a much longer one.) However, Silver and Sebek do appear to share many memories which indicate them aging similarly.
Note that even within fairies themselves, there is a large variance in lifespan based on the type of fae one is. Many fan works like to interpret Sebek with a longer life span, as this plays well into angst pieces (usually where Silver grows old and everyone else in Diasomnia shares a good cry about it). We'll have to wait to see how (if at all) TWST decides to present that bit of lore.
Personally, I don't think that Sebek's lifespan would be the average of human's and a fairy's. Why??? Just because that's not how it works with real world biology and genetics. (You could argue that TWST is a world with magic so real science doesn't apply, but the fact is that there is also a degree of logic to the "magic" of their world; why else would subjects like alchemy (ie magic chemistry) and techomancy (ie magical tech) exist?) Multiracial children don't have the averaged life expectancy of their parents. Maybe that's a poor example, but that's the closes thing I can think of since we don't really have anything super similar to fairies to compare to irl.
Lastly, I would hesitate to largely factor behavior into Sebek's lifespan; some characters are just... more immature than others due to other circumstances (like maybe a child has to take on more responsibilities at home due to their parent not being present, or maybe a child acts more impulsive because they feel a need to compete with their siblings). There are childish adults and sensible children. There are also cases where someone is both immature and mature, depending on the situation (looking at you, Malleus). Behavior doesn't always inherently speak to one's age.
