Comfortable silence
Day/Prompt: Day 7 - "The holidays aren't so bad with you around"
Fandom/Character(s): AEW All Elite Wrestling / Hook x F!Reader
Warnings: none
Wordcount: 567
Summary: Hook/Tyler is not a big fan of large gatherings but after meeting reader he feels a bit better about it
@12daysofchristmas
A/N: I know he parties too this is just to fit with his wrestling character and the prompt lol
Being mostly known as a retrieved individual, his friends understood his character and never questioned him about it but then other people they did find it weird that he almost never talked Tyler didn’t understand why it bothered them so much, it wasn’t any of their business when or how much he talked but that’s why for the most part he prefers not going to a lot of parties.
When she started working in AEW, she saw Tyler alone in one of the tables at catering, she already was familiar with who he was so she walked towards his table.
“Do you mind if I seat here?”
She waited for a response but Hook just nodded and she sat down, 10 minutes went by he was mesmerized that she wasn’t bombarding him questions like other people would normally be, they sat in comfortable silence for half an hour.
“You’re new here, right?”
He asked after a while.
“Yes, this is my first day”
“Well, welcome aboard”
Hook fist bumped her hand.
“I’ll see you around”
He said getting up and leaving her alone.
People had told her that was how Hook behaved and she didn’t have a problem with that, it seemed they had started on the right track and just kept feeling good whenever they were around each other which resulted in a friendship, sometimes they even traveled together.
She had become important to Tyler and she felt the same with him, they felt comfortable around each other and for them it was enough.
They had been friends for months and when December rolled around Tyler stared having a bad mood, he struggled a lot during Christmas with all the parties thrown in just 1 month, there was always something to do or something to say and he wasn’t a big fan of it.
“So are you going to Tony’s party?”
She asked.
“Huh? Oh, the Christmas party? I don’t know”
“I’ll be there, you can search for me in case you go”
Hook thought about it for a few days and even though he was still in doubt he thought he’d at least have her there.
“You came!”
She exclaimed, she fist bumped him and then they made their way to the bar to get some drinks, they rolled around a few tables saying hi to some of their co-workers but ended up going outside and sat on a bench, they were watching the night sky, the starts where bright that night and the moon was almost full.
Tyler sat with a leg over the other and both hands behind his neck just enjoying the night while the party still raged inside, she was humming the song being played inside moving her feet and hands to the beat of the music.
He looked at her and smiled, he imitated the drumming from the song to compliment her air guitar riff, they started laughing.
“It’s a good song”
Tyler said after it was over.
“It truly is”
She seconded his words.
After the silence once again wrapped them, Hook turned around to talk to her, he doubted saying what he want to say and fidgeted with the gem of his hoodie, he took a deep breath and just said what he felt ever since they knew each other.
"You know, the holidays aren't so bad with you around"
“You’re not so bad to be around either”

_________________________________________
I walk into me and Ethan's locker room very excitedly. He is sitting on the couch.
"Hey baby! Did you see my match? I won my first match here!"
He doesn't say anything looking at his phone and I look at him puzzled. I sit on the coffee table infront of him looking at him.
"Did you hear me?"
He doesn't look up or say anything again. I put my hand on his arm trying to get his attention. He smacks my hand away looking up at me. I pull my hand to my chest.
"Owww what was that for?"
He stands up looking down at me. I start breathing heavy looking up at him.
"We are done Y/N."
"Done?"
"Yes. Done. Now give me MY engagement ring."
"W...what?"
I look down at my ring than back up at him. He has his hand out waiting for it.
"Why Ethan?"
"I have found someone better than you."
Those words broke me. I slowly take off my ring and put it in his hand. He scoffs ripping the ring out of my fingers.
"You're so pathetic. And useless."
I look down at the floor not wanting to look at him. He gathers his things together still belittling me the whole time.
"So much happier that I found someone who will care for me and actually do what I say. Don't call me. Don't text me. Don't even think about me."
He leaves the room slamming the door behind him. I feel the tears start to pour out of your eyes. You lean down into your knees and start crying. 20 minutes go by, I hear someone knock on the door. I ignore it thinking it's Ethan. I hear the door open but continue crying into my knees.
"Y/N. Honey. What's going on?"
I feel a hand start rubbing my back. I sit up still semi crying, looking up to see Taz sitting on the couch. He rubs my shoulder looking at me.
"What happened Y/N? I had to come looking for ya because you had an interview but didn't show up. What happened honey?"
I sniffle wiping my face and lifted my hand up to show my bare hand. His eyes go wide seeing my ring is gone. I start crying again. He stands up pulling me up into a hug. I start crying into his chest while he rubs my back.
"Honey. It will be okay. I'm here for you. You know you are like family to me. If you don't have anywhere to live, you can live at my house. I'll even help get your stuff out of his apartment."
I sniffle wiping my face again looking up at him.
"You mean that? I mean I do need a place to live but I also have a cat if that's okay. And I would feel better if you did come with to get my stuff."
"You and your cat are welcome to stay. Now let's go get your stuff and your kitty!"
I grab my bag and follow him out of the locker room, to the parking garage and to his car.
_________________________________________
*at the apartment*
I get out of the car and walk over to the door to get into the apartment with Taz and one of his "helpers" right behind me. I take a deep breath and unlock the door. I walk in with them behind me and walk around not seeing Ethan anywhere. I start telling them what is mine and what is his. They start taking my stuff to their trucks. I get my cat backpack and walk to my bedroom looking for him.
"Oliver? Where are ya buddy?"
He runs and jumps on the bed with a little meow. I slightly smile looking at him.
"Well buddy. We are going for a little trip."
I pick him up, put him in the backpack and carry him out to Taz's truck putting him on the backseat. I go back in and pack all my stuff up from every room. I hand Taz's "helper" the last box than turn around in the doorway looking around. I sigh and tear up a little. Taz comes up behind me and puts a hand on my back.
"Y/N it's time to go."
He points to Ethan's car pulling into the parking lot. I throw the key into the apartment, close the door and walk over to the truck. Taz follows behind me watching Ethan the whole time. I get in the truck, close the door and watch Taz stand infront of his truck putting the window down to hear the. His "helper" comes around and stands next to him. Ethan walks over to them.
"What are you doing here? And why do you have my girl?"
Taz scoffs looking at him.
"Your girl? Last I checked, you broke off your engagement and broke her heart. So no she ain't your girl anymore. And we came to help her move out."
Ethan rolls his eyes and crosses his arms.
"That girl is all talk. She always says she is gonna move out and leave me. But I know Y/N. She would never leave me. No matter how bad I treat her. She always stays with me."
Taz and his "helper" move closer to Ethan. Ethan takes a step back.
"Like I said, we came to help her move out."
Ethan laughs and walks over to the apartment door, unlocks it and walks inside. Taz gets into his truck starting it and his "helper" gets into his. Ethan comes back outside screaming and waving his hands. He walks over to the driver's side tapping on the window. Taz looks at me and I nod. He rolls down the window slowly looking at Ethan.
"Taz! Where is......."
He looks over at me in the passengers seat.
"Y/N! Get your ass in that apartment right now!"
I look away from him starting to feel tears coming to my eyes. Taz looks at Ethan and shakes his head.
"I meant what I said. She's moving out. Now goodbye."
Taz rolls up the window and shifts into drive which causes the doors to lock. Ethan runs over to the other side of the truck trying to open the door. Taz hits the gas and leaves the parking lot. I take a deep breath when we hit the road.
"Honey. It will be okay. He can't hurt you anymore."

*at Taz's house*
I get out of the truck getting Oliver's backpack making sure he is okay. I put him on my back and walk to the front of the truck. Taz is standing there waiting for me. I look at his house noticing cameras and security guards everywhere. I look over at him.
"Your house is so gorgeous but why do you have so many cameras and security guards?"
He laughs putting a hand on my shoulder.
"I'll tell ya later about that. For now, let's get inside so I can show ya your room."
I slightly smile and follow him inside. We walk inside and my eyes go wide looking at how beautiful everything is.
"Taz are you sure I can stay here?"
"Of course! Wait until you see your room!"
He grabs my hand and pulls me up the stairs, down the hallway and I hear loud music coming from one of the rooms. I look at Taz and he laughs a little.
"That's my son Tyler. You will meet him soon. I think you two are about the same age."
"I'm 24."
"Oh so is he. Wait. You're 24? Why were you with Ethan? Isn't he like 10 years older than you?"
I roll my eyes and look at him.
"I'll tell you about that later. For now, wanna show me my room?"
"Oh and your a comedian too? I like you already!"
I giggle and we walk into my new room at the end of the hallway. I gasp at how beautiful the whole room looks. Taz pats my shoulder.
"So you don't need much of the furniture you brought with you. But don't worry. You can decorate the room however you want. And all your other belongings will be brought up to your room for you."
"Taz I don't know how to thank you enough for everything you are doing for me."
He looks at me and smiles.
"Join me, my wife and my son for dinner tonight. We are going to a restaurant. So you can dress casually just not like a bum."
I giggle sitting down on the bed.
"You got it. As long as my clothes get up here soon."
He laughs and walks out closing the door behind him. A couple hours go by and my belongings are all brought to my room. I organize and put everything away. I set up a corner for all of Oliver's belongings as well. I go through my clothes trying to find something to wear. I settle with a black crop top, some ripped up jeans and some black high top sneakers. I put my deer skull necklace on and fix my tongue piercing. I look at myself in the mirror in my personal bathroom attached my room. I straighten my hair to go with my outfit. I smile looking in the mirror.
"This is the first time I have felt good about how I look in a long time. I am going to have a great time tonight."
I hear a knock on my door and walk over to the door opening it to see Taz. He smiles looking at me.
"Well look at you! Feeling better already!"
"I am feeling better. Thank you."
"Ready to go? My wife and son left already to get us a table."
"I am ready."
I walk out closing my door following him downstairs and to his truck. He opens the door for me and I get in. He walks around getting in and heads down the driveway and to the restaurant.
_________________________________________
We get to the restaurant and he parks next to his wife's car. Taz looks over at me.
"Look. I told my wife I was bringing you along but my son doesn't know."
I look over at him smiling a little.
"Taz... are you trying to set me up with your son?"
"Maybbeeee....."
"Taz I just got out of...."
"Y/N. Honey. I know you just got out a relationship. But I know my son. He wouldn't dare hurt a woman. And honey. You need a real man anyways."
We both laugh and get out of his truck. We walk over to the table. Tyler's back is facing me and he is looking down at the menu on the table. Taz's wife stands up and hugs me.
"You must be Y/N. Taz talks so good about you."
I hug her back and smile.
"Yup that's me."
Taz points next to Tyler and I sit down next to him. Taz sits next to his wife and kicks Tyler's leg.
"Yo what was that for?"
"We have company."
"I dont....."
He looks over at me and stops talking. I giggle looking at him.
"You don't what son?"
"HI I'm Y/N. You must be Tyler."
Tyler nods his head yes just staring at me. I nervous giggle looking at him.
"Okaayyy"
"Anyways what is everyone hungry and thristy for?"
I look through the menu trying to decide on something to eat. The waitress comes over and takes our drink orders. She comes back with the drinks than takes our food orders. She leaves and Taz looks over at me and Tyler.
"So son. Y/N had her first match on AEW yesterday."
Tyler looks directly over at me. I look back at him smiling.
"I did and I won!"
"Congrats."
I look over at Taz with a puzzled look.
"Does he ever show any emotion?"
Taz laughs and Tyler quickly turns his head towards me. I look back at him with a stone cold look on my face. Tyler smirks and looks down. I shrug my shoulders and feel my phone buzz in my pocket. I pull it out and see a message from Ethan.
Why haven't you come back to the apartment yet? We need to talk.
I put it away and look up to see Taz looking at me. I slightly bite my lip trying not to cry.
"Was it him again?"
I shake my head yes and he sighs. Our food comes and we start eating our dinner.

*2 weeks later*
Laying in my bed with Oliver, I am looking through the thousands of messages Ethan has sent me. I don't even tear up anymore. I've been thinking a lot about everything that happened and to me, I am starting to heal and get better from it. I know I don't want to go back to Ethan. I have been having fun hanging out with Taz and his family. Tyler and I are kinda flirty with each other but I am trying to take it slow. My phone buzzes and another message comes through.
Y/N. Babygirl. Please talk to me. I miss you. I want us back.
I roll my eyes closing my phone. I hear a knock on my door and get up. I open the door expecting Taz but instead it's Tyler.
"Oh hey Ty. What's up?"
"My parents are going out. So I am going to make some steak and mashed potatoes. Would you like some?"
"I would love some. Could I join you in the kitchen?"
"Yeah sure."
I follow him down to the kitchen. He grabs a pan out of the cabinet along with a pot for the potatoes. He gets everything out on the counter. I walk over and lean on the counter looking at him.
"Could I help ya with anything?"
"Not right now."
I move closer to him and put my head on his shoulder to be annoying.
"Cmoonnnn Ty."
"Okay okay. Let me find something for you to do."
He pulls a chair over from the island and sets it next to the oven.
"Sit here and look pretty."
I huff and sit in the chair.
"I don't like this. I wanna help with something. Please. I don't want you to just sit here and....."
I get cut off by Tyler grabbing my face and kissing me. My eyes go wide than close, kissing him back. He pulls back looking at me putting his hand on my throat.
"Now just sit there and look pretty like a good girl."
I shake my head yes looking at him wide eyed. He goes back to making dinner. I bite the inside of my lip squeezing my legs together watching him. He looks over at me and slightly smirks.
"You okay over there?"
"Oh me? Yeah.... I'm okay."
"Never had anyone put you in your place before huh?"
"Not like that. Never been called a good girl either."
"Good to know."
He laughs and finishes up making dinner. He sets everything up on the island for us. I move my chair closer and he sits on the other side. I look over at him smiling.
"Thank you for this Ty."
"Well I have something to tell ya."
"What's up?"
"I told my parents to go out because I wanted to make you dinner and maybe this could be like our little date night. We could eat dinner than go to my room to watch a movie."
"So you planned a date night for us but didn't even tell me it was a date night? Cmon. I'm still in my pajamas."
I giggle looking at him. He looks at me slightly smiling.
"You are okay with it being a little date night?"
"Of course Ty."
"Oh and Y/N?"
I look up at him slightly smiling starting to eat some mashed potatoes.
"I was also wondering if you would....."
"Yes."
"I didn't even finish my sentence. I was wondering if you would like to be my girlfriend? My dad told me about your ex so if you still need more time, I get it."
"Tyler. I am way over that guy. It's a yes."
"Yes! That makes me so happy!"
I giggle and we continue to eat dinner. My phone buzzes three more times on the island. Tyler looks over at me.
"Whose that?"
"The ex."
I roll my eyes finishing up eating.
"He has been texting you for 2 weeks now?"
"I have like over a thousand messages from this guy."
We get up putting our dishes in the sink and cleaning up the kitchen.
"That's crazy."
He grabs my waist and pulls me into him. I put my arms around his neck.
"But don't worry. I have a few ideas of how to get rid of him."
"I don't wanna worry about him right now. I wanna worry about our date."
He smiles, grabs my arm and pulls me up to his room. We walk into his room and he flops down on his bed. I sit down on the other side looking around his room. He grabs my sides and pulls me over to him. I turn on my side and lay my head on his shoulder with his arm around my neck. I pull out my phone and look at him.
"Could I take a picture of us and post it?"
"Of course babe."
I turn on my camera and take a cute picture of us laying in bed together. I post it on Twitter with the caption "He made me dinner and than asked me to be his girlfriend! What a gentleman."
"Oh that's definitely gonna piss some people off."
"I don't care. I'm happy with you."
He leans over me and kisses me. I put my hand on his cheek and kiss him back. He pulls back laying back down and looks through the movies on the TV. He finds a movie and puts it on. He moves me off of him and sits up taking his shirt off. I bite my lip a little.
"Sorry I just always like to have my shirt off in my room. Or clothes for that matter."
I giggle and look at him still biting my lip.
"I am the same way."
"Than take your clothes off."
I look at him with wide eyes. He looks at me and smiles a little. I slowly take off my shirt exposing my breasts since I wasn't wearing a bra. I hear him suck in some air looking at me which makes me giggle. I stand up and slowly take off my shorts also not wearing underwear.
"Holy fuckkkkk."
He gets up, comes over to me and runs his fingers through my hair gripping some. I bite my lip looking at him.
"What a good girl."
I gulp still looking at him biting my lip.
"Now get on your knees."
I slowly drop to my knees while he keeps a hold of my hair making me look up at him.
"Ya like this babygirl?"
I shake my head yes looking up at him. He smirks letting go of my hair and slowly takes his shorts off. I gulp seeing his cock flop out of his shorts. He smirks looking down at me.
"Now you are going to take my dick down your throat like a good girl."
I hear my phone buzz on the nightstand. Tyler grips up my hair making me look up at him.
"Did you hear me?"
"Yes Daddy."
He bites his lip looking down at me.
"Good girl."
I open my mouth wide sticking out my tongue.
"And you have a tongue ring? Fuckkkkk."
I laugh looking up at him. He grips my hair again making me open my mouth wide with my tongue hanging out. He slaps his dick against my tongue a couple times making me moan a little. He starts slowly shoving his dick down my throat. He shoves it all the way down making me gag really hard than pulls it back out. I cough a few times, tears coming out of my eyes but I still open my mouth wide for him again. He slowly shoves it all the way down my throat again making me gag than pulls it back out.
"What a good fucking girl."
I look up at him, spit hanging my mouth and a couple tears rolling down my face. He pats my cheek smirking. My phone starts ringing on the nightstand. Tyler turns around and grabs my phone.
"Oh look who it is."
He looks down at me and smirks.
"I have an idea. Keep sucking and gagging on my dick baby."
"What's your idea?"
"What did I just say?"
"Yes daddy."
I grab his dick and start sucking on it. He moans and grabs my hair. My phone starts ringing like a videochat. I look up at Tyler with his dick all the way down my throat.
"What a good job. You got it all the way down without gagging."
Tyler answers my phone without me knowing. The camera is facing him.
"Y/N! I knew you would soon answer.......me? Tyler why do you have Y/N's phone? Where is she?"
I start sucking his dick faster looking up at him. He moans a little smirking at Ethan.
"Oh she has been a little preoccupied with her time."
"What do you mean?"
Tyler turns the camera around while I have his dick shoved all the way down my throat again. Tyler let's out a moan.
"Are you fucking kidding me?! That is my fiance! Not your new girlfriend!"
I pull his dick out and slap it against my tongue a few times looking up at the camera. Tyler laughs watching Ethan freak out on camera.
"Alright Ethan. Unless you wanna watch me fuck the shit out of MY GIRL, I suggest you hang up and never call her ever again."
"Are you fucking kidding me?! Whatever! Bye!"
He hangs up and Tyler puts my phone on the nightstand. I stand up looking at him. He comes over, wipes my face and smiles.
"Now for the fun part."

Tumblr media
Having an ex work at the same company as you shouldn't be that big of a deal.
You'd think everyone should be able to behave professionally and go about their day to day lives normally.
But no; because Y/N's ex didn't know the meaning of the word normal.
He was a low card wrestler at AEW; barely even on tv. He was only shown when the better wrestlers needed an easy win.
She had dated him a long time ago, back when she was in college and he was still in the indies.
But now she had risen the ranks in AEW backstage, and was a fan favorite backstage interviewer and occasionally she even got to dabble in storylines.
It was right around when he first joined Team Taz that Hook met Y/N.
There was an instant attraction between the two, and she even pulled his first words out of him in a backstage interview.
Everyone could see the chemistry between them; even the fans picked up on it.
The fans really started to ship them after a particular incident.
"So Ricky, Hook, how is Team Taz feeling about the upcoming-" Her question is cut short when Darby Allin and Sting come from out of nowhere and attack the two.
Y/N let's out a pained yell as she gets pushed over in the chaos and twists her ankle.
Her eyes widen however when Hook punches Sting extremely hard in the gut, before running over to kneel beside her.
He scoops her up into his arms and backs away from the fight. "Are you ok?"
"I'm ok" she replies. "You should go help Ricky, I'm alright"
Hook just shakes his head no, casting one more glance over to Ricky. He and Ricky exchange nods, and he knows Ricky's got it handled.
So he turns and walks down the hall towards the medical room. "I saw you land on your ankle; how bad does it hurt?"
"Not that bad" Y/N answers. "I think my heels just made it hurt worse"
Hook nods, and it's then that he notices the camera man following them.
He scowls, and adjusts Y/N so he's holding her with one arm before shoving the camera to the ground. "Get that shit out of her face!"
After that, fans were itching to see them get together. And even though neither one were willing to admit it, they were too.
But it wasn't until Hook's in ring debut that it finally happened.
"Hey Hook!" Y/N runs over to him with an excited smile. "Are you excited to debut?!"
"Damn.." Hook can't help but audibly groan at the sight of her.
She was always a sight to behold, but tonight she looked even more breathtaking than usual. She had on a cropped corset top with a see through bodice that had floral lace patterns etched onto it, high waisted leather short-shorts, knee high black boots that had orange rhinestones bedazzling the heel, her natural hair down, and very light makeup; the only pop of color was bright orange highlighting the inner corner of her eye.
"Y-Yeah" Hook stutters out an answer to her question.
"You're gonna do absolutely amazing!" Y/N encourages.
He smiles, bashful at her praise. "Thanks Y/N"
"Tyler!" The two look up when Hook's name is called.
Taz, who was walking over to check on his son, can't help but smirk and chuckle at the pink color on Hook's cheeks. That was definitely not something you see everyday.
"How are you feeling about your first match son?" Taz asks, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm all good dad" he replies.
"And Y/N, it's always lovely to see you honey" Taz greets. "And you're representing the FTW colors, I love it"
"Thanks Taz" Y/N grins. "I thought it was appropriate given Hook's debut"
"Absolutely!" Taz agrees with a grin. "You know, it's a shame to put that outfit to waste"
"What do you mean?" Y/N asks.
"Well, Ricky and Hobbs aren't able to go out with Hook tonight. So, if you're both cool with it, you could go out with him. Maybe stand ringside" Taz offers.
Hook's eyes widen as he shoots his dad a warning look. His dad was always trying to meddle with him and Y/N-
"I'd love to!"
His eyes widen even more as his head snaps back down to look at Y/N. "R-Really?"
"Yeah! If you'd like me too, of course" Y/N replies.
"Yes! I'd be happy for you to" Hook scrambles to get the words out fast enough before doing his best to recollect himself and return his face to its usual stoicalness.
Taz let's out a laugh, before patting Hook's shoulder. "Well I best be going, commercial's almost over and I gotta get back to commentary. You're up next son, and you're gonna do great. See you two later"
They both say goodbye before Hook turns to Y/N. "Sorry he just volunteered you to do that. You really don't have to if you don't want to"
"What are you talking about?" Y/N asks. "Of course I want to"
Before Hook can respond his music hits.
"Well go on!" Y/N encourages. "I'll be right behind you"
He smiles back at her, and takes a deep breath before daring to peck her on the cheek really quickly before walking out.
Y/N falters for a second, and blushes wildly while her fingers brush over where he kissed her.
Then she snaps out of it and follows him out.
Y/N grins proudly at the pop he gets from the audience, and claps along with them as she trails behind him down the ramp.
He circles the ring as Y/N stops in his corner.
Hook climbs in and walks over to his corner, paying Fuego Del Sol no mind as he leans against the turnbuckle.
Y/N smirks mischievously before climbing up to the apron and looking right in Hook's eyes.
He has to stop himself from reacting to the close proximity of their faces as she leans against the opposite side of the turnbuckle.
"I know you're gonna do amazing" she smiles softly, running her hand over his jaw.
He has to fight as hard as possible to stop a smile from overtaking his face.
Her thumb trails over his bottom lip as he stares at her adoringly.
And when the ref walks over to tap Hook on the shoulder so he'll turn around, she pecks him right on the lips before hopping off the apron and down to ringside.
His eyes widen, and his eyes trail after her.
She smirks at him, and points towards Fuego to indicate he should turn around.
He sends her a smirk back before turning to focus on his match.
He officially asked her to be his girl as soon as they got backstage, and she was so excited to say yes. After that Y/N and Hook were always together.
She always accompanied him to the ring, and Hook would be lying if he said he didn't love getting to show her off.
Y/N in turn, loved to be shown off by him. The way he was so proud to be her boyfriend made her heart melt.
Y/N was also not afraid to get in someone's face if they were messing with Hook.
At Hook's third match, when QT Marshall grabbed his ankle, Y/N was quick to intervene.
"Hey! Bastard!" Y/N storms around the ring to plant herself face to face with QT Marshall.
Was he much bigger than her, and a trained wrestler? Yes. But did he intimidate her? Not at all.
"Oh, oh, oh, oh!" Ricky exclaims from commentary. "Pissed off woman headed your way QT! Better watch out!"
Taz laughs. "Ain't no saving him now!"
"Keep your pathetic hands to your damn self!" She screams. "You're just pissed because Hook has already surpassed you and this is only his third professional match! You're so desperate to prove that you can train someone better than him; and you're too stupid to realize that's never gonna happen! Because Hook has more natural talent in his pinky finger than you have in your whole body!"
Hook can't help but peer over at his girl, a cocky smirk resting on his face as he watches her defend him.
"You listen here-" QT points his finger in Y/N's face.
But he's cut off by the bell ringing, signaling the end of the match.
Neither of them had realized that Hook locked Solo in a redrum.
Y/N let's out a cheer as she hops up onto the apron, but before she fully steps into the ring QT beats her to it.
Hook lightly pushes her back, signaling for her not to get in as he steps up to QT.
Hook turns away from QT after a moment, sick of the man yelling in his face, and that’s when QT grabs Hook's arm and yanks Hook around to face him.
The look on Hook's face is dangerous, and QT quickly raises his hands in surrender.
But it was way too late, and Y/N lets out a laugh when Hook hits him with an overhead throw and plants him onto the mat.
Hook turns back to her, and jumps out of the ring. He stops and holds his hand out to help her down.
She smiles at him as the two walk up the ramp, with Hook placing his hand on Y/N's hip and pulling her into his side.
"You screaming at him was so fucking sexy" he breathes into her ear.
Y/N looks up at him, and he smirks at the blush on her face.
But QT Marshall just never knew when to quit.
The match between Serpentico and Hook was extremely quick.
Serpentico didn't even have an opportunity to take his kimono off before he tapped.
Taz, Ricky, and Y/N were all laughing and cheering for Hook's win as he kept Serpentico locked in the redrum after the bell.
But Y/N's smile morphs into a glare when QT Marshall comes strolling out. "Hey, hey, hey, hey, this is the exact crap I'm talking about! Hey! This is what I'm talking about! You idiots don't realize what he's doing!"
Hook lets Serpentico go to turn and face QT with an annoyed look.
"Hitting the guy before the bell, keeping the choke on too long. His dad's laughing about it, his girlfriend's cheering him on" QT complains.
Y/N quirks an amused eyebrow at him, and nods her head.
Taz laughs again from his seat at the commentary table. "Yeah I am"
Hook just rolls his eyes and waits for Y/N to join him at his side before walking up the ramp.
"He's a delinquent!" QT exclaims.
Y/N intertwines her fingers with his as they walk by QT without acknowledging him.
But Y/N let's out a surprised yelp when QT grabs her arm and turns her to face him.
Hook feels her be yanked back, and whips around with a furious glare.
He pushes Y/N behind him, before getting chest to chest with QT.
QT continues to scream, but Hook doesn't really hear any of it. All he knows is that QT touched his girl.
Hook grabs QT and T-Bones him as hard as he can.
Hook stands up, and walks over to Y/N. "You ok baby?"
"Yeah, I'm good Ty" she answers with a smile.
Hook takes her hand again, and steps over QT's body.
He then turns around to place his hands on Y/N's waist and pick her up to place her on the other side of QT so she doesn't have to step over him.
Taz is still laughing at commentary as the two walk backstage. "You never put your hands on Hook's girl! And if you do, he's gonna teach you a lesson you'll never forget!"
"They're like AEW's Bonnie and Clyde!" Excalibur says with a laugh.
Y/N also started learning to commentate around that time, and Taz was happy to be her mentor.
Y/N was sitting at the commentary table next to Taz. She was quiet for the time being, because QT Marshall was out there with one of his students and Y/N refused to acknowledge him.
But then something catches her attention, and she turns to look at QT with a raised eyebrow. "Ladies and gentlemen, the recipient of the first ever QT Marshall certificate of accomplishment: Hook!"
She crosses her arms as she stares QT down, suspicious of his intentions.
But she can't help a smile growing on her face when Hook's music hits, and he comes walking out.
He glances over at her before making his way down the ramp.
"What?!" Chris Jericho exclaims surprisedly.
"The cold-hearted handsome devil: Hook" Excalibur says.
"Here he comes!" Jericho exclaims excitedly.
"We're not quite sure what the hell this is about with QT and the certificate of accomplishment" Taz says.
"Hook looks annoyed that somebody woke him up to send him out here" Jericho laughs, making Y/N laugh as well. "He probably is"
"QT likes to take a lot of credit for training Hook" Y/N rolls her eyes.
Y/N goes to stand up, but Taz grabs her arm and lightly pulls her back down. "Don't go smacking the guy up just yet Y/N" he says with a chuckle.
Y/N recrosses her arms as she keeps her eyes fixed on the ring.
"This is such a special night" QT starts. "I mean normally a mentor-" he stops when the crowd starts chanting for Hook. "Yeah, give it to him guys. He deserves it. Normally a mentor would get jealous when his protege surpasses him, but not me, I'm not a selfish kind of guy-"
Y/N laughs when the audience boos at that.
"I'm not!" QT insists. "So I’m just gonna get right to it.  Hook, congratulations. This is something you're gonna be able to tell your grandkids about. You are the recipient of the inaugural, first ever, QT Marshall certificate of accomplishment"
QT takes the plaque from Aaron Solo as he shoots off a confetti gun.
Y/N can't help but giggle at the unimpressed look on Hook's face as confetti falls around him.
"What the hell is going on?" Taz groans.
But then Hook slams Solo's head into the certificate, making Y/N and Taz burst into laughter as Hook makes his way back up the ramp.
But Y/N's smile drops when Danhausen comes creeping out from backstage.
She immediately stands up and storms over when Danhausen tries to curse Hook.
Hook is completely unfazed, and moves to step around Danhausen.
But Y/N snatches the back of Danhausen's shirt and pulls him around to face her before slapping him right in the face.
Everyone at the commentary table cringes at the sound.
"Y/N just slapped the taste out of Danhausen's mouth!" Jericho laughs hysterically at the shocked look on Danhausen's face.
"I think the curse backfired on Danhausen!" Excalibur exclaims.
"You don't mess with Y/N's man you guys" Taz laughs.
Hook wraps his arm around Y/N's waist and pulls her backstage as she glares at Danhausen.
"Calm down mamas" he breathes into her ear.
Hook smirks as she falters, and he admires the blush lighting up her face. "You like that nickname mamas?"
Y/N nods, burying her face in his chest as she hugs around his torso.
He laughs softly and presses a kiss on top of her head. "The last time you reacted like that was when I called you babygirl"
He just laughs again when she has a similar reaction, before swatting his chest. "Stop teasing me!"
"I'm sorry babygirl" he says in a low tone. He lets his hands trail down her body to rest on her hips. "I didn't mean to tease you. I just love those cute little reactions.. my cute girl"
Y/N smiles up at him, and gets on her tip toes to press a kiss to his nose.
Hook's face flushes red, and it's Y/N's turn to smirk. "It's ok, because I love your cute little reactions too honey"
Hook squeezes her hips, and leans down to bury his head in the crook of her neck. That nickname always made him bashful and blush.
Y/N giggles and runs her fingers through his hair.
Even after Hook accepted Danhausen as a tag partner, Y/N was a little unsure of him.
She didn't like how he wanted to fight Hook at first, and Y/N was a little protective of Hook.
But he did grow on her eventually, and she was so excited when the two worked together to beat Tony Nese and Mark Sterling.
But it was around this time that Y/N's ex was suddenly unable to keep his stupid fucking mouth shut.
"Hello Miss Y/N" she hears from behind her, and turns to face Danhausen with a smile.
"Hello Danhausen" she greets back. "How are you today?"
"Very well, very well indeed. I just came over to see-"
"Y/N" Danhausen is cut off by a man he doesn't recognize stepping out in front of them.
Y/N rolls her eyes, but Danhausen notices the way she takes a step closer to him. "What do you want Matthew?"
"I just wanted to talk to you without your little boy toy behind you" Matthew scowls.
"Uh, hello. Danhausen here" Danhausen waves. "She has a very evil friend instead"
"Like I'm scared of you" Matthew laughs.
"Like you have any room to talk" Y/N retorts. "At least Danhausen gets matches. When was the last time you wrestled? I don't even know, but I'm sure it was a throw away match to get someone else over"
Y/N smirks at the look on Matthew's face, knowing what she said was true.
"Just leave me the fuck alone Matthew" Y/N demands. "You know I have a boyfriend. And he is a hundred times the man you could ever dream of being, and makes me a million times happier than you ever did"
With that she grabs Danhausen's arm and pulls him down the hall with her.
"I'm not gonna give up that easily! Mark my words, you'll be hearing from me!" Matthew yells.
Danhausen turns to curse him, but Y/N just yanks him down the hallway. "He's not even worth it"
"Who was that despicable person?" Danhausen asks.
"He's just an ex" Y/N answers. "He just has a hard time accepting that I broke up with him. He hadn't bothered me in a while though.. I thought he was finally gonna leave me alone"
"We should tell Hook" Danhausen says.
"No! Please don't!” Y/N immediately replies. "Tyler will loose his damn mind, and he needs to be focused on his match tonight. The last thing I want is for him to get suspended or something because he attacked Matthew. Which we both know is what he'll do"
Danhausen is silent for a few moments, before huffing. "Fine, Danhausen will not tell for now. But if he bothers you any more we must"
It didn't take very long for him to do just that.
But this time he made the mistake of doing it when Hook was around.
Y/N giggles at a joke Danhausen tells her as the two sit in catering.
It was late; the last match had wrapped up a while ago, so they were the only ones there.
They had decided to hang out at the venue a little later than usual, and Hook was now taking a shower really quick before the three headed out.
"Hey Y/N"
"Ew!" Danhausen screams. "It is creepy rat man!"
Y/N can't help but burst out in laughter at Matthew's expense.
"I want to talk to you" Matthew says, attempting to be assertive in his tone.
But Y/N had changed a lot from the meek girl she was when she was with him. That tone may have worked on her once, but never again.
And she knew that infuriated him when she looked over at him with a bored expression. "I don't wanna talk to you though. So too bad"
"You really think you're all that now because you're Hook's latest piece of ass, huh? He doesn't give a damn about you, but you're too fucking stupid to realize that. He'll never treat you the way I did-"
"The way you did?!" Y/N exclaims, jumping up from her seat to glare daggers at him. "You're right. Tyler would never treat me the way you did. He would never treat me like I'm worth nothing more than a fuck. You expected to be able to treat me like shit, and then still have me waiting for your beck and call. Well newsflash Matthew; you may have destroyed me back then, but I healed myself. And Tyler has shown me what it's like to be loved. He's shown me what being with a real man is like"
"Hey bitch!" Everyone's head snap over to the hallway, where Hook is storming over with a look in his eyes that Y/N had never seen.
Hook snatches Matthew up by the collar with a dangerous look on his face before landing a vicious punch right on his jaw.
"Tyler!" Y/N exclaims as Danhausen immediately tries to pull him off of Matthew.
Y/N grabs his arm and pulls him towards her.
Hook let's her do so, but he doesn't stop glaring at Matthew. "You mess with my girl again and I'll knock your fucking teeth in"
And after that Hook lets Y/N drag him down the hallway.
Neither one of them say a word until they get to Hook's dressing room.
Hook wordlessly sits down on the couch, and furrows his eyebrows when Y/N lingers by the door and doesn't sit down next to him.
He holds his hand out, signaling for her to come over to him, but she doesn't.
"Get your cute little ass over here" Hook says with a little pout.
Y/N breaks out into a smile at that, and does as told.
When she gets close enough he grabs her hips and pulls her down to sit on his lap facing him.
Y/N wraps her arms around his torso and buries her head against the side of his neck. "I'm sorry"
"For what?" Hook asks, leaning back a little in an attempt to look at her. But she holds on tighter and doesn't let him. "For all that with Matthew"
"It wasn't your fault" Hook replies, but she can feel his body tense. "Who was he though?"
"He's an ex" Y/N answers.
Hook doesn't like the vague answer, and gently wraps his hands in her hair to pull her head up and makes eye contact with her. He didn't give a damn about some stupid little ex of Y/N's; he knew that Y/N only wanted him, just like he only wanted her. But he does care when that ex starts bothering her. "Has he been bothering you before today?"
Y/N shrinks under his gaze, but when she tries to look down he tightens the grip on her hair slightly. "I.. Only a couple times"
"Y/N" Hook chides. "These are the kinds of things you have to tell me"
"I know" Y/N says softly. "I just didn't want you to get in a fight with him or something"
Hook sighs, before pulling her to him and kissing her softly.
When they pull away Y/N lays her head on his chest as Hook runs his hand up and down her back, occasionally kissing her head and whispering sweet words to her.
That was a couple months ago, and Matthew had let up a bit.
He never approached her in person anymore; but he did message and call her.
Y/N knew she should tell Hook, but she was scared he'd snap and beat him up again.
It was a miracle that Matthew didn't report Hook the first time, and Y/N didn't want to risk Hook loosing his job over her.
So she just dealt with his abusive texts and voicemails, and did her best to not let it bother her.
But it obviously did, and Hook was beginning to pick up on it.
Like right now.
Y/N and Hook were snuggled up together on their hotel bed. Y/N was tucked into his side with her head on his chest, and Hook had his chin resting on top of her head while absentmindedly running his fingers up and down her back.
But then Y/N's phone started ringing.
Hook began to move to hand it to her, but she squeezed him tighter. "Don't move" she whined.
He laughs softly at her, and peers down at her with an adoring smile. "You're adorable babygirl, but it could be something important"
Y/N pouts, before turning to grab her phone.
Hook looked back at the tv, which was playing a rerun of Y/N's favorite show.
Hook had turned it on for her while she was getting ready for bed.
But his head snaps over to her when he hears a little sniffle escape her.
He pulls himself up to rest against the headboard, and gently places a hand on her back. "Talk to me mamas.. tell me what's going on so I can help you"
Y/N hesitates, and stares down at her phone. "I'm scared to"
Hook furrows his eyebrows at that. Why would she be scared to tell him something?
Hook places his hands on her waist and turns her to face him. She looks down at the bed, but he puts his finger under her chin and tilts her head up to look at him. "You can tell me anything Y/N. Anything. You know that"
"I know.." She mumbles. "It's not how it sounds. I just don't want you to get in trouble"
"Why would I get in trouble?" Hook asks.
"Because I think you may kill someone" Y/N answers with a soft smile.
Hook cracks a smile as well. "If they're bothering you, you may be right"
"Tyler" Y/N chides, lightly swatting his chest as they smile at each other.
"Ok, ok" he relents. "I at least won't kill anyone tonight"
Y/N takes a deep breath. "It's Matthew.."
Hook's eyes harden immediately, and he has to take a couple deep breaths of his own. "What about him?"
"Ever since you punched him, he hasn't come up to me in person. But he has been messaging and calling me" Y/N admits. "He always says the meanest things and it's just-" Y/N sniffles again, and Hook wipes away a stray tear with his thumb. "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you. I just didn't want to say anything to you because I was scared you'd attack him and get suspended or fired and I can't even imagine you being gone and I-"
Hook cuts her rambling off by placing his lips against her's.
Y/N immediately melts into him, placing her hands on his neck as her holds her face and their lips move in sync.
He pulls away after a few seconds and kisses her forehead before speaking. "I'm not happy you didn't tell me.. but I guess I understand why. I shouldn't have acted the way I did before. Maybe then you would have told me-"
Y/N places a finger against his lips, cutting his sentence short. "No. You know what? Neither one of us is gonna apologize. Did either of us handle the situation perfectly? No. But none of it is our fault's; it's his"
Hook smiles softly before nodding.
He pulls her body flush against his, and nuzzles his head in the crook of her neck. Y/N giggles as he starts leaving kisses there.
"I think he's just mad because he doesn't have the sexiest girl in the world to keep him warm at night anymore" Hook teases, and Y/N let's out a surprised squeal when he slaps her ass.
"Tyler!" She chides through giggly laughter, and he laughs along too.
The two spend the rest of the night too wrapped up in each other's presence to even remember Matthew's name.
A couple of peaceful weeks went by after that.
Matthew had called a couple times and sent a couple of messages, but Y/N just ignored them.
She told Hook every time, and he wanted nothing more than to track Matthew down and make it so he was terrified to even breathe in Y/N's direction.
But she begged him not to do anything rash, and he reluctantly agreed.
Hook kept true to that agreement for almost a month.
The two were at the arena, getting ready for that night's rampage. Y/N had gotten into the shower while Hook was putting on his ring gear and taping his fists.
"Ty!" Y/N called.
Hook immediately hopped up and walked into the bathroom. "Yeah mamas?"
She doesn't say anything, but she sticks her head around the shower curtain and pouts her lips.
Hook smirks, and walks over to place his lips against her's.
He reaches into the shower, before she giggles and closes the curtain. "You can't come in here! You're gonna get your tape wet! And your precious hair!"
Hook just chuckles. "You're the one who called me in here"
With that he walks back into the dressing room, but stops when Y/N's phone starts lighting up.
He grabs it, and starts to circle back to the bathroom to let her know she had gotten some messages, when he realizes who the messages are from.
Hook scoffs as he watches more and more messages from Matthew pop up on the screen, and with each one he feels his body heating up in anger.
But then a particular one delivers, and Hook tosses the phone down on the couch before storming out of the room with a rapid heartbeat, a clenched jaw, and clenched fists.
When Y/N gets out of the shower, she is greeted with an empty dressing room.
She furrows her eyebrows in confusion, but figures Hook just left to do something real quick.
She gets dressed and started on her makeup.
But right as she finishes putting on her lipgloss her door is swung open, and Ricky Starks comes rushing in.
"What the hell Ricky?! You scared the hell out of me!" Y/N exclaims.
"You gotta come with me" Ricky says, and grabs her arm to pull her out of the room.
"Where? What's wrong?" Y/N asks.
"Hook's beating the hell out of some random jobber" Ricky answers, and Y/N feels her stomach drop.
The closer they get Y/N can hear the fighting and yelling, and she pulls away from Ricky to just run towards the sounds quicker.
"Tyler!" She screams when she sees him holding a bloody and beaten Matthew up against the wall by his neck.
"Huh?! Come on! Threaten someone who will fight back you son of a bitch!" Hook screams, not even hearing Y/N over the blood pumping in his ears.
"Tyler!" Y/N yells again, and runs over.
Hook whips around when he feels someone trying to pull him off of Matthew, but his wild eyes soften when the see it was Y/N.
But she wasn't looking at him, she was watching with wide eyes as Matthew slid right down the wall as soon as Hook wasn't holding him anymore.
"What the hell Tyler?!" Y/N yells.
Hook just stares at the floor, chest heaving and sweat running down his body.
"Matthew swung first" Ricky speaks up from behind them. "Hook went up to him yelling and shit, but he never touched Matthew until after he punched Hook"
"I knew you wouldn't want me to.." Hook mumbles, nervously looking up from the floor to make eye contact with her.
Y/N takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.
"Why don't you two go to Tony's office and explain all that then" Y/N says shortly, watching as medics finally run over and start tending to Matthew. She felt guilty that she just couldn't bring herself to feel bad for him. But Ricky said that Matthew swung first, so whatever happened to him was his own fault.
Hook doesn't move though, and stares at Y/N like a lost puppy. "Are you mad at me?"
Y/N sighs, before wrapping her arms around him in a hug. He immediately responds, wrapping his arms tightly around her in return.
"I'm not happy you came out here looking for him, as I assume that's why you left the room"
Y/N looks up at him with a pointed look, and he looks at the wall to avoid eye contact. "But, if he swung first then I'm not mad at you for the fight"
"I had to. I couldn't let him say what he said to you, I'll always defend you" Hook says firmly.
"What are you talking about?" Y/N asks with furrowed eyebrows.
"You didn't look at your phone?"
Y/N was sitting in her and Hook's shared hotel room while scrolling through all the messages Matthew sent that day.
And Y/N knew exactly which one must have set Hook off.
You don't wanna respond to me bitch? That's fine, because when Hook goes out for his match tonight I'm gonna find you and teach you to never ignore me again. And trust me, you'll never forget it.
Y/N didn't even want to think about what he had been planning to do before Hook found him; and she couldn't be anything but grateful to Hook.
She had heard that Matthew was in the hospital with broken bones and other injuries, and she wondered if that would have been her without Hook.
Matthew had never actually hit her during their relationship, but he came very close when she broke up with him.
But her thoughts are interrupted when the door swings open.
She jumps up and runs over to tightly hug Hook. "Is everything ok?"
"Yeah, it's all ok baby" Hook comforts, running his fingers through her hair. "There was a video of the whole thing so I'm not in any trouble"
"Thank God" Y/N breathes out. "And Matthew?"
"He's gonna be fired. You know, whenever he wakes up" Hook brags with a lopsided smirk.
Y/N laughs, and gets on her tiptoes to peck his lips. "I love you so much. And thank you, I can't help but think about what could have happened-"
Hook leans down to cut her off with a kiss, before pulling away and resting his forehead against her's. He lets his hands rest on her hips as he stares into her eyes. "You don't ever have to worry about someone hurting you. Not ever again. Not when I'm around, which will be forever"
Y/N smiles, and lets out a surprised laugh when he picks her up and carries her over to the bed.
She gets comfortable under the covers as he puts on pajamas.
He lays down next to her and she immediately nuzzles into his side.
Hook wraps an arm around her waist, and uses his free hand to draw random shapes on her exposed stomach.
Y/N sleepily smiles as she realizes he's writing out 'I love you' at one point. "I love you too"

Can I request an Imagine or Headcanon with either Hook or DG where the reader's love language is biting. Like she'll just bite them randomly and how do they react?
I will do you one better! How about both?
Tumblr media
HOOK
This man gives no fucks, like at all
the first time you bit him he looked at you like you grew three heads.
he thought you were hungry or something so he offered you some chips (bless his soul omfg)
but then you did it again later on down the road
you both were walking around the city with the lads before Dynamite
He had taken off his hoodie while talking to the boys about something with merch, you weren't really paying attention
All you could do was focus on his arms, feeling the urge that you had tried to bury suddenly grow stronger
So as he's talking you grab his arm and sink your teeth in
Dante, Darius, Anthony, and Action all looked at you in shock
Hook had paused once he realized what had grabbed the attention of the four men
He shrugged as they gave him a questioning look after you let go, "She's like an alligator or something." and went back to discussing the previous topic
He was used to you biting him he could sense when you had the urge to bite anything and he'd give his arm to you like he was rewarding a puppy with a bone
he gets asked all the time why he's almost always covered in bite marks
sometimes he'll brush the person off or sometimes he'll answer them "I'm my girlfriend's chewtoy."
Tumblr media
Daniel Garcia
Now this mf right here he would act like he hates it but deep down he loves it
he'd act annoyed
"Y/N!" *que chasing*
if you know who nia and chris are, it's like that
there's a compilation fans have made from Isiah's vlogs of you biting Daniel
he'd try to reprimand you for biting him, he learned from that mistake cause you always go to bite his finger every time
you've caught it on some occasions
He would wake up with new bite marks almost everyday
"You've lost biting privileges" he'd say after you bit him
You just can't help it, dude is beefy
One time he bit you back and your brain short circuited
You were frozen in your spot for a good 9 minutes before you came back to reality
Then you bit him slightly harder
Marks upon marks, some new and some fading
He will never grow used to it but he does love it, don't let him fool you

Chaotic Collaborations
Synopsis: The whirlwind of two polar opposites, a story line and unmistakable tensions in between
Warnings: pining, cursing, injury, depictions of blood, protective!hook, jealous!hook, angst, fluff eventually
A/N: welllll after who knows how long I’ve finally managed to conjure up the sunshine!reader x coldhearted hook fic! This was actually so fun to write I got carried away and it takes a drastic turn lmao I hope you love it babesss, enjoy!
(Takes place during the Hook and Jack rivalry)
(Also this shit is extremely long and I’m finishing it at 2am so bare with me if there’s grammatical errors, I’m sleepy lmao)
Tumblr media
You were originally ecstatic over the shot at your very first story line when Tony pitched the idea to you. You’d been in AEW for a little over a year and had been hoping that you’d get a little more substantial tv time outside of your typical matches sometime soon, so when Tony called you to his office with an idea that was brought up to him, you couldn’t agree quick enough.
That was until the person you’d be doing the storyline with walked through the door.
The coldhearted handsome devil, as he frequently gets called. Someone you were somewhat familiar with due to seeing his matches in the viewing room from time to time, or him sitting alone in catering every so often, typically with a hatred look towards the whole world on his face.
A man you never considered approaching for the simple fact that he gave the impression that he was not to be fucked with, or even smiled at, for that matter. He was the last person you’d expected Tony to bring in.
“Hook, glad you’re here again. I know we’ve already been over this but now that we have your future partner here, I wanted to give you both the rundown. Have a seat.” Tony points to the chair next to you. He steps in, a hoodie over his head shadowing his eyes that glance at you before he silently takes a seat.
He brought a sudden energy to the room with his presence, one that made you feel a tad bit uneasy. Intimidated, more so.
“Y/N, Hook is who I’m pairing you with for this storyline. It’s come to my attention that the two of you are both crowd favorites and apparently a lot of fans want to see you two together. It would be great for the ratings and for both of your character developments.”
You nodded along, wanting to look over at the man next to you to see what he thought of this, though you kept your eyes on Tony. You knew that fans liked to talk about how you and some of the talent should pair up together, and there were a lot of edits on instagram of you and certain wrestlers that they shipped, but Hook was the least of your expectations.
“I’ll be putting you both in a group chat where I’ll send you segment and promo schedules and concepts, so keep your eyes out for that. Next week, during your match with Anna, Jack Perry is going to come out with the FTW title and hand it to her, and that’s when Hook will be coming out after him. The fans will think it’s all part of their feud until he comes to your aid when Anna hits you with the title while Jack and Hook are fighting on the ramp. That’s going to be the start of the entire storyline leading up to a tagteam match between the four of you.”
You listened intently, not wanting to miss a beat of the instruction. The storyline made a lot of sense since you and Anna did have some on screen animosity to begin with, and hook and jack have been at each others throats for some time now, so you could see the relevance to having Hook as your alliance.
“I’ll be sending you both a text soon on more details.” Tony said before he excused you both from his office. Hook silently got out of his chair and headed through the door without sparing you a glance. You weren’t sure if that meant that he was displeased about the storyline or if he just collected the information and went on his way.
You decided to try to talk to him when you both got into the hallway, but quickly wished you would’ve let him keep walking.
“Hey!” You jog up to him, reaching his side. He glanced over at you for a split second before he fixated his sights ahead. He didn’t greet you back, and that alone made you feel a little uneasy, but you still attempted to make conversation.
“I know we’ve never talked before, but since we’re about to do this whole storyline together, I guess I should introduce myself and all.” You managed a nervous chuckle, but he kept a straight face.
“I’m Y/N.” You continued on, feeling your nerves start to get the better of you, which is when you start rambling, usually.
“I mean, obviously you know that now since Tony said it, but, anyway, i just wanted to break the ice a little. This is all pretty new to me. I’ve never done a story line before so-“
That’s when Hook stops in his tracks, turning to face you. His stare was cold and jaw set. He showed no emotion, nothing at all, really. The way he looked straight into your eyes made you immediately shy away from that gaze. Your eyes dropped to the gold cross sitting over his chest similar to the one you had tucked underneath your shirt that you wore as a good luck charm.
You wanted to pull it out and show him that you had one too but something told you he wouldn’t care about that at all.
You glanced back up into his eyes, the ones that were strongly fixated on you, managing to push past the nervousness he made you feel until you heard him say, “Let’s save the talking for the scripts.”
He held his eyes on you for a second longer before he turned on his heel and headed down the hallway. You didn’t bother to follow. It was clear that Hook didn’t care to make conversation with you, and he wanted to make sure you understood that.
———
You were sitting in catering with Skye and Willow, oblivious to their conversation due to the thoughts that kept swirling around in your brain. It had been a week since that very first interaction with Hook and tonight you were going to be starting the whole storyline.
Skye noticed how you barely paid attention to the conversation and decided to ask you what was going on. You had yet to tell them about the storyline since talking to Hook, or attempting to, didn’t go over so well.
“What’s going on with you?” Skye’s voice reached you, snapping you out of your thoughts.
You could’ve said it was nothing to save yourself the conversation but they were going to know about the whole storyline tonight, so you decided to spill it all.
“Tony’s giving me my first storyline.” You say, watching as a smile spreads across both of their faces before the confusion sets in.
“You don’t seem too excited?” Willow commented.
“I mean, I am, but… Well, okay, so you know how Hook and Jack Perry have that whole rivalry going on right now?”
The girls nod slowly, clearly they were still a bit confused.
“And me and Anna have a match tonight, so Jack’s going to come out and hand her the FTW title so she can knock my ass out with it,-“
“So then Hook is going to come out to save you.” Skye figured. “So is it like, an on screen dating kind of thing?”
“I don’t think so. Tony said we’ll end up teaming up against them, so I’m pretty sure it’s just alliances.”
Willow’s lips spread into a smirk before she looked down.
“Are you nervous about it or something? You’re the one who said you wished you’d get your shot at a story line and now you’re talking like you don’t want to do it.” Skye said, but you hardly heard her when the man who’s been racing through your mind came walking through the catering doors.
Willow noticed your eyes immediately finding him, following him as he headed around the perimeter of the room to take his seat in the very back.
“I think she’s nervous.” Willow grinned, clearly with insinuation but that’s when you quickly tore your eyes away from the man in question and back to them.
“No, it’s the fact that I tried to talk to him after we left Tony’s office, y’know, introduce myself and break the ice since we’re going to be working together, and he literally looked me dead in my face and told me to save the talking for the scripts.”
Both of their jaw’s dropped and Willow’s eyes cut over to the man, shooting him a look he didn’t see since he was on his phone.
“That’s fucking rude.” She said.
“Yeah, and we haven’t spoke since.”
“I mean, he kind of does look like that type of guy. He’s always by himself, always looks like someone pissed in his cheerios, maybe he’s just a dick. I’d just stick to the storyline and don’t bother with him outside of that if he’s going to have that kind of an attitude.” Skye says before she grabs her phone and stands up from the table.
“Anyway, I gotta go. I’ll be watching your match from the viewing room tonight though. You’re gonna do amazing.” She smiles before she heads out, leaving you and willow at the table.
“I agree with Skye. Just try to enjoy your first storyline despite his negative attitude.”
You nodded, then your eyes adverted over to the back of the room, for some reason you felt strongly compelled to steal a glance of him, only to find his eyes locked on you.
You felt your stomach twist suddenly and looked away immediately, but you could still feel the powerful gaze he possessed burning a hole through you, and you weren’t sure if that meant you should look back again, maybe try to go talk to him, or leave the room all together.
“Oh my God, he’s staring at me. Don’t you fucking look, Willow. Don’t make it obvious.”
Willow didn’t, but it was clear she wanted to. You could practically feel his dark eyes on you from way across the room, and you couldn’t help the way it made the pace of your heart quicken, out of the sheer nervousness that his presence hasn’t failed to make you feel.
“He’s leaving now.” Willow whispered as her eyes followed him around the room before she dropped them to the table. “He’s gone.”
————
You couldn’t help but to be nervous but you attempted to put it all aside as you clutched you ribs, lying on the canvas after Anna kicked into your side, probably a little harder than she should have. You knew what was coming as soon as Jack’s music hit and he came running down the ramp with the FTW title in hand.
You grabbed Anna’s feet before she could reach him, swiftly making her fall flat against the canvas in an attempt to protect yourself from the inevitable. That’s when Hook’s music hit and a sudden pop from the crowd made your ears ring.
He didn’t run down the ramp like Jack did, but it took him only a few seconds to get his hands on the man. Hook snatched the title and threw it to the floor before he threw a series of punches to Jack’s chest, while you and Anna were throwing punches to each other’s jaws. She was hitting you with a force that felt a little more personal than just entertainment purposes. You wondered if she meant that or not.
She grabbed your wrist and slung you against the turnbuckles, hitting your back so hard you sprung foward and fell to your knees. It was all planned, but you were taking one hell of a beating.
That’s when Hook and Jack had the referee distracted enough for Anna to grab the belt. Just as you were getting on your feet, you felt the impact against the side of your head knocking you down flat, staring up at the bright lights of the arena as she pinned you.
The three count came fast and her music rang through your ears. You laid there like you were dazed and confused and thankfully she didn’t actually hit you with it too hard. You had a little pain but nothing like it would’ve been if she would’ve intended to knock you out cold.
The crowd was booing jack and Anna both, but they roared with cheers when Hook slid under the ropes. You felt a warm hand sneak beneath your shoulder before he helped you sit up. There was no script to go off of so you weren’t sure if anything should’ve been said, but nobody would’ve heard over the thousands of screams piercing your ears.
Taz was on commentary hyping the interaction up for the added affect of the viewers watching on tv.
“I don’t know when those two became friends, but I’ll tell you one thing, Y/N has a good one in her corner. If Hook has your back, you know you’re gonna be alright. Jack and Anna better watch out now boys.”
Hook leaned down and grabbed your hand, pulling you up to your feet. The crowd was absolutely wild, and it was a reaction you really didn’t expect. He silently nodded towards the ramp as he let go of your hand. You walked ahead of him, slipping out of the ropes and making your way towards the tunnels, clutching your side and your head for the added affect.
You looked over your shoulder to find hook close behind, his eyes locked on you the second you spared a glance. Just before you reached the tunnels, you heard his voice, somehow over all the commotion around the arena.
“Wait” he caused you to turn around, now inches apart from you. Your eyes widened when you realized the closeness, before you felt his hand grab yours again and hold it up in the air, turning you towards the crowd that was on the verge of losing their minds.
He pointed at you, nodding as he took in the reactions. You were trying to soak it all in but it all had you confused. Assuming he was really good at selling, you tried to ignore the fact that his harsh words had been running through your mind for the past week, but due to that, you didn’t expect all of this.
He dropped your hand and nodded towards the tunnel, letting you lead the way. As soon as you got away from the chaos in the arena, you turned around to face him. Part of you wanted to ask why he was so rude to you last week but the other part of you was screaming for you not to.
Hook’s brows knitted together when you looked up at him. The last thing you probably should’ve been thinking about was the first one that came to mind simply because your brain did that sometimes.
He was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and looked like the walking depiction of darkness with the way his hair casted over nearly half of his face. Meanwhile you had on all white ring gear coupled with white nails and the comparison must have looked nothing less than polar opposites when you stood side by side.
But then you heard him say, “Are you just gonna stand there and stare at me?”
That’s when you realized you’d just been staring up at him, feeling your cheeks immediately burn beneath your skin when he called you out for it. Hook saw the way your face flushed and a rosy tint dusted over. Then he noticed a gold cross sitting against your chest much like his own. He didn’t comment on it, obviously.
You wanted to redeem yourself but couldn’t muster words at that point and he stared down at you awaiting a response or simply for you to move out of his way, which is exactly what you did.
The second you stepped to the side, he slipped past you, brushing your shoulder on his way down the hall. You stood there with a bit of a dumbfounded look on your face as you watched him leave without sparing you another glance.
———
Another week passed by and again, you and hook hadn’t spoke, but your tagged photos on instagram were nothing but you and him from Dynamite the week prior. It was funny how many fans were going crazy for a duo that was anything but when you weren’t on cameras.
You’d looked down at your phone when it buzzed and a text from Tony came through. You were put in the group chat with a 363 area code and debated whether or not you should save him in your contacts.
The text was the instructions for a segment later on. You and hook were going to be spotted talking in the hallway. He sent the full script and with only an hour to memorize and apologized for the last minute scheduling.
You were typing back when another message popped up. It was from hook, nothing but a short and simple reply saying, “All good” meanwhile you’d typed almost a whole paragraph about how it was okay, don’t apologize and you were going to get to memorizing right now. Needless to say, you deleted that and typed back, “No problem, I’ll have them memorized.”
You then scrolled up the long message, unsure if you could actually sell this with such a short amount of study time. You didn’t want to screw up on live tv.
Your lips moved as you read over the lines. It would’ve been way easier if you could actually rehearse them with someone but clearly hook wasn’t going to be down for that and Skye and Willow both had the night off, which was the reason you were sitting alone in catering.
You tried to focus but you felt that feeling again. Eyes on you, unavailable. He was somewhere in the room and you could feel it. He was staring at you again, and you didn’t even have to find him to be able to tell that.
You couldn’t keep your mind on the script now that you knew you were being watched. You wondered why he was staring in the first place. What was his problem with you after all?
The temptations got the better of you and you finally tore your eyes from your phone, only to find him sitting directly across from you at the next table over. Like you already knew, staring.
He didn’t bother to snatch his gaze off of you. He was shameless about the way he watched you. You couldn’t help it when your nerves grabbed strong hold of you and out blurted, “Are you just gonna sit there and stare?”, loud enough for the people around to hear, earning their attention.
Hook didn’t acknowledge them. He didn’t even blink. Didn’t move a single muscle and that’s when you decided to get up and walk over to him, despite the way his dark eyes made you want to take off running.
You approached his table and took a seat directly across from him. He tilted his head back slightly and crossed his arms over his chest. His brows raised in an expectant manner and you could feel the eyes of talent all around focused on the two of you.
“Why do you keep staring at me?” You called him out the same way he did to you last week in the tunnel. He kept a stoic expression as his eyes dropped down to your phone in hand on top of the table. He decided to avoid your question to ask one of his own.
“You think you can sell that segment later?”
Caught off guard, you felt your brows knit together, looking down at your phone which served as a reminder that you needed to be studying those lines.
“I’m gonna do my best.” You answered honestly, looking back at him. “Are you not going to go over your lines?”
“I already know them.”
“The text just came in like five minutes ago.” You pointed out.
“And I already know them, and yours.” He coolly states before he grabs the bookbag from the seat next to him and stands up. “Don’t mess up.” He says before he tries to leave.
“Wait!” Your voice didn’t do you any favors when it came out a little squeakier than you intended, but it kept him there. “Can you help me go over them?”
He stared down at you, face unreadable as always. There was a pause before he said, “If I didn’t have to get ready for my match, maybe I’d consider.” Then he headed out of catering, leaving you alone at the table.
———
You headed down the hallway where you were supposed to shoot the segment. Hook was already there, leaning against the wall with his phone in hand. He had his ring gear on, a couple red marks on his chest and sweat glistening off his skin. He must have just came back from his match.
Nobody else was around yet. You slowly walked over to him and stood against the opposite wall in front of him. He finished typing something before he picked his head up and looked down at you. You did your best not to spare him a glance as you continued going over your lines.
“It’s a little late to be trying to memorize them now.” You heard him mutter.
“I think I have them memorized, actually.” You look up at him, now leaning back with arms crossed. His hair was absolutely unruly and you couldn’t help but stifle a laugh when you saw it up close. The way it was standing straight up over his head reminded you of Chicken Little.
“What?” His brows knit when he catches your reaction.
“Sorry” you shake your head and wipe the smirk off your face. “It’s your hair.”
“What about my hair?”
“It’s like, standing straight up.” You point out, watching his eyes squint at you.
“It’s hair. It does that.” He deadpanned.
“Mine never does.”
“That’s ‘cause Anna’s always pulling yours out.” He bantered back, and for the first time you thought maybe you saw his lips tip up in a smirk, but as soon as you caught it, he wiped it away.
“She is not always pulling it out. That was one time. And that was so long ago, how do you even know that?”
Silence suddenly filled the hallway. He didn’t have an answer for that and thankfully for him, the cameraman made his way around the corner just in time.
“Alright, ready?” He calls out to the both of you. You take one more quick glance at your phone before shoving it in your pocket and taking in a deep breath.
Hook pushed himself off the wall and whispered, “Don’t mess up.” Before he stood behind you, close enough that when you turned around, you had to put a little space between you.
“Action.”
“Y/N.” Hook suddenly spoke. “You can’t let anyone walk all over you in this company. It’s time for you to take control. You need to start fighting fire with fire.”
He was right when he said he had his parts memorized. It was so effortless to him. He went from one persona to the next in a matter of seconds.
You tried to hide the surprise on your face and snap into character. He eyed you skeptically, you could clearly tell he was expecting you to mess up.
“I don’t want to play dirty, Hook. That’s gonna be my karma when it comes back to bite me.” First line down, you didn’t think it was too bad.
“Or maybe Anna Jay and Jack Perry’s karma is us. Did you ever think about that?” He raised his voice and took a step foward unexpectedly, backing you against the wall. You were suddenly flustered but knew you had to force that away.
“Jack knocked me out with the same title Anna hit you with. My FTW title. They’re cornering you and you’re allowing it! What’s gonna happen when you’re in the hospital with a concussion next time and I can’t save you?”
His chest started heaving as hot breaths fanned against your skin. He was way too good at this.
“What do you want me to do, Hook? You want me to be evil like they are? That’s not me!”
A second passed and you saw the way his eyes dropped down to some other part of your face, suddenly making you self conscious about whatever caught his attention. Then, he leaned in even closer, his chest brushing against yours when he inhaled.
“If you’re gonna be with me, you have to be tougher than this. That sweet, innocent personality of yours isn’t going to get us anywhere, and I’m not gonna stand by while you let yourself get assaulted every week. It’s time to start fighting back, Y/N.”
Half of that line, you didn’t recall memorizing. It threw you off a little bit, and thanks to that, you couldn’t remember your final line. You suddenly got anxious, mouth falling open with no words coming out. Hook picked up on this, not letting too much time pass before he tried to jog your memory.
“You don’t have anything to say? You’re okay with these people tormenting us? You want them to take everything from us?”
You hoped he could hear you silently thanking him. You knew that wasn’t a line but he kept it going for the sake of embarrassing yourself.
“If you want me to fight back, then let me do it my way.” You recited, shooting him your best glare for the dramatics. “I’m not turning cold for you, but that doesn’t mean I can’t beat her ass so bad she’ll wish she never stepped foot in a ring with me.”
His lips turned upwards in the faintest hint of a smirk and this time you were certain on it before he quickly brought that straight face back for the camera and nodded his head saying his last line.
“I’m gonna hold you to that.”
“Cut”
The camera man left you and hook in the hallway. As soon as the camera wasn’t on you an enormous weight was lifted off of your shoulders, finally able to take a deep breath, but the air around quickly got suffocating all over again.
Hook didn’t move. He was still standing close enough to you that you felt pinned to the wall. He held those infamously dark eyes on you for a moment, studying you. In his mind, he didn’t see the value of having you as a partner. He couldn’t understand why he got paired with someone who looks like they’d cry the minute someone raised their voice.
You just appeared to him as a sweet, innocent person and not in the way that he intended for it to be a compliment. Sweet and innocent wasn’t his thing. He needed someone just as coldhearted and vengeful as him.
Nevertheless, he was with you now until this storyline ends and his dad told him during a conversation they had a few days prior, that he needs to look at things a little bit differently. Taz seemed to think that he needed someone like you by his side. The coldhearted handsome devil needed a conscious and in his dad’s mind, a babyface with the reputation of being a walking ray of sunshine was the angel on Hook’s shoulder.
He carefully considered his dad’s perspective, but then aroused ideas of his own. A concept that he pitched to Tony that you had no idea what was coming. Plans to take your squeaky clean image and transform it into something greater, something more complimentary to himself.
You eyed him, swallowing past a thick lump accumulating in your throat before you managed to speak in a voice almost weary.
“Why are you staring at me like that?”
Hook’s head tilted to the side, as if he was intrigued by the simple question. Your wide eyes reminded him of a skittish puppy ready to bolt, and he was surprised you haven’t yet.
“I thought you had your lines memorized?” He countered your question.
“I did, until you decided to improvise.” You quickly blurted, feeling like you exaggerated that defense. His brows raised slightly from beneath the thick hair against his forehead before he took a step back, putting space between you for the first time in what felt like an eternity.
“See you next week.” He muttered before he disappeared around the corner.
———
Two nights later, as you got cozy in bed, just about to doze off, your phone buzzed with a text from that same area code you recognized as Hook.
“been talking to my dad. you need to learn redrum. im in the hotel gym”
You glanced at the time, nearly baffled when you realized it was one-thirty in the morning. You texted back a quick reply.
“Right now? This can’t wait until tomorrow? And why do I need to learn your moves? I have moves of my own.”
You stared at the message until the delivered turned into read at 1:32 and locked your phone until he texted back.
“im going to bed at 2”
You stared at that simple little message and knew it was basically him not giving much of an option. You huffed as you slid out of bed, never minding to change out of your sweatpants or do anything with yourself for that matter. It was almost two in the morning. You should be asleep.
The elevators brought you down to the first floor. You headed across the lobby towards the gym. You could hear the sound of a punching bag being hit three times each even through the closed door.
You walked in, to your surprise finding Hook and Taz both. Taz was keeping the punching bag steady while Hook threw his fists into it, but that came to an abrupt halt when taz spotted you first.
“Ah, there she is.” His voice echoed through the empty room. “Didn’t think you’d actually show.” He chuckled, turning to his son. “Tyler and I have been talking about that upcoming tagteam match between you and the goofballs, we think if the crowd saw a double redrum they’d go nuts.”
You glanced at hook, now with the new knowledge that his name was actually Tyler, and for some reason that’s all that registered in that moment. He was looking at his dad, not even sparing a glance in your direction until Taz gave him a strong pat on his bare back and said, “I’ll leave you to it son. Your mother’s waiting for me.”
You held the door open to let him through, offering a faint smile. Taz stopped before he left the room, looking over his shoulder at his son, “Polite too” he commented, and you weren’t sure what that was supposed to mean but didn’t ask either. “Don’t hurt him too bad.” He muttered with an amused grin before he headed out.
You closed the door and stepped a little farther in the room. Taz seemed to have taken that lighthearted energy with him when he left because once again, the air was thick. It felt hot and heavy in your lungs and it made no sense to you why that was always the case when you were around him.
He stood at the front of the room with his hands on his hips. He looked like he’d been at it for hours what with the way his cheeks were bright red and sweat was covering every visible inch of his body, and drenching his hair.
“Do you always work out at two in the morning?” You asked as you drew a little closer, feeling like you were physically walking on eggshells.
“I go to sleep at two.” He replied, rather breathlessly. His eyes adverted down to your t-shirt and sweats, and the fuzzy slippers you put on before you left the hotel room. “Apparently you do too.”
“I was almost asleep when you texted.” You defended yourself and your cozy loungewear. “I’m not going to throw on a whole outfit just to come down to the gym.”
“Real shoes either.” He countered.
You looked down at the slippers and then back up at him. “They’re comfy. I don’t care.”
“Clearly.” He nodded. “Doesn’t matter. You familiar with any of my moves at all?”
You could’ve told him that you’d watched some of his matches in the viewing room before but something told you that he would think you were weird for that, so you simply shrugged and said, “kind of, not really.”
The way he eyed you made you think he knew you were lying.
“Never seen me do redrum?” He questioned, raising his brows.
“Maybe like one time.” You lied again, and that’s when his eyes narrowed, as if he was reading right through the bullshit.
He pushed his hair back and let his hand fall to his side with a smack to his hip before he stepped away from the punching bag and over to a bench, grabbing an almost empty water bottle and chugging the rest.
He crumbled the plastic before tossing it in the trash can halfway across the room and walking back over. He stood in front of you. It seemed to you like the man didn’t know the definition of personal space.
“Are you familiar with a half nelson at least?”
You shot him a questionable look, feeling the sarcasm dripping from his question.
“Pretty sure everyone is.” You crossed your arms, deadpanning on him in an attempt to dish it right back. His lips fold in and that’s when you couldn’t help but notice a dimple on his right cheek.
“Alright then-“ he held his arms out to his sides. “Put me in one.”
You shot him another look, wondering if that was a serious request or not. He stared at you, clearly waiting. It didn’t seem probable since the man towered over you.
“How do I do that when you’re like, six foot tall?” You asked, holding your own arms out. “I’m obviously too short to reach.”
“Size doesn’t matter. It’s the way you utilize your body. Anna’s taller than you, how do you expect to put her in a choke? Wait for her to get down?”
“I wasn’t planning to until you said I needed to learn your moves. I have a couple of my own.”
“And clearly they don’t work too well.” He counters comebacks quickly, you realize.
“If you can’t reach, use your legs first.” He instructed, suddenly having a more serious edge to his voice. “If that means you have to jump on their back, then do that. I’ve had to a time or two.” He shrugged before he waved you foward.
You dropped your arms and eyed him skeptically. An uneasy feeling was trying to take over simply because the thought of wrestling around with a man twice your size didn’t seem like the smartest idea.
“You’re not gonna sling me over your shoulder or something, are you?”
You caught the brief flash of confusion that crossed through his eyes before they returned to that cold stare he perfected.
“No, Y/N.” He huffed in annoyance. “I’m not gonna do anything but let you take me down. I’m gonna fall foward though, not back, so if you go flying off of me that’s on you.”
In his mind he was wondering why you were so apprehensive about this. Did you really think he was going to hurt you? He might not be all that friendly but he didn’t have intentions to harm you. Either way, he pushed past those thoughts and focused on the task at hand.
You nodded in understanding before you circled around him, taking a step back for more momentum when you sprung foward. Your legs wrapped tightly around his waist, knees locking in underneath his ribs and you heard a low grunt reverberate through his throat.
“Am I hurting you?” You loosened your legs but felt his hands grab them, keeping you wrapped tightly around him.
“Nope, always keep your legs tight. I’m good. Lock it in.”
You did as you were told, snaking one arm beneath his jaw and the other under his arm, bringing it up and pushing his head down until you felt him falling foward with a low, “Fuck” beneath his breath.
You held on tight as his knees hit the floor and he tapped on your arm quickly. You unwrapped yourself and stood back up, offering your hand to help him to his feet, but he ignored it.
“Was that right?” You asked, feeling somewhat prideful about the way you just brought a six foot tall, two hundred pound man down to his knees with his own finisher.
He nodded, rubbing his neck. “Yeah, that was right.” He cleared his throat. He then eyed you with a somewhat unreadable look on his face, eyes slightly narrowed.
“What?” You asked.
“You’ve never seen that before?” He resorted back to his previous question from earlier.
“I told you I have once.” You reminded him, but again, human lie detector comes out of him and it was evident.
“Most people don’t get it right the first time after seeing me do it more than once.”
“Well I did.” You shrugged, watching as he peered those eyes at you, reading straight through the bullshit once more just to hum in response.
“Not very believable but alright.” He muttered before he walked over to the bench and sat down, grabbing his hoodie and tossing it over his shoulder. You felt your clothes sticking to your body with sweat that wasn’t your own and peeled the fabric from your skin, just for it to stick right back.
Hook noticed this. “You got a little sweat on you.” He comments obviously.
“Do I? I didn’t notice.” You sarcastically replied, and another unreadable expression played on his face, one that had you wondering what he was thinking, but you didn’t ask. It returned back to that blank, emotionless look moments after.
“I have a match Wednesday.” He said as he ran his hand through his unruly hair. “You should probably be ringside.”
“Did Tony say that? I haven’t heard anything.”
“I’m saying that.” He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees, looking up at you. Your mouth clamped shut with that response. He clearly saw the mixed reaction playing on your face and made it a point to clarify.
“The more we’re together, the more we’ll sell.”
But something told you otherwise and you weren’t sure what. Something was nagging at you about his actual motives. If you remember correctly, he didn’t seem too pleased about being paired up with you to begin with.
“I didn’t think you cared so much about this storyline.” You tested. “You seemed really unhappy about it when we were in Tony’s office. And after, especially.” You referred to the first little conversation, or lack there of, in the hallway.
He looked down at his knuckles and a few scars on them before he looked back up at you.
“If we have to do it, I want to at least make it good.” He said, ignoring basically everything you just said. “That means we need to sell it. So we need to be seen together a lot more. Nobody’s gonna believe it if we’re only shot on segments and nowhere else.”
You nodded, understanding that fact.
“So when I have a match, you be there. When you have a match, I’ll be there.” He then stood up and threw on the black hoodie you always saw him wear at work before he walked past you, muttering a low, “see you Wednesday” under his breath before the gym doors shut behind him.

“Sounds like he wants to fuck you.” Willow bluntly stated after you told her and Skye all about what’s been going on lately. You felt your cheeks practically burn your skin but looked away in an attempt to hide it.
“Agreed.” Skye adds in. “Looks like someone’s not so coldhearted after all.”
“No, he definitely is.” You affirm with a quick nod. “He’s just good at selling a storyline. He’s a different person on camera than he is elsewhere.”
“He looks pretty angry all the time to me. On camera and every time I pass his grumpy ass in the halls” Willow chuckled and you couldn’t help but do the same. “And if he’s trying to sell the story purely, I don’t think he’d bother getting you down to the gym at almost two in the morning.”
“Well it was to teach me his finisher for when we have that tagteam match.” You justified, but they didn’t buy it.
“That could’ve waited for a day time hour, Y/N.” Skye tried to convince you, but there was no use in that. You looked at the time and realized his match was starting soon. You got up from the seat, thankful for an excuse to leave the conversation.
“I’m needed ringside.” You tell them, noting the smirks on their face before you left.
Hook was already in the gorilla waiting for his music to hit when you finally got there. His back was turned and head hung as he pushed himself back and to against the bars.
“Hey.” You breathlessly said, due to nearly racing to be in time. He turned his head, looking over his shoulder as he kept doing what looked to you like mid air push ups, assuming it was just something he did to get amped up.
His eyes adverted down to your shirt. You didn’t have a match tonight so you didn’t bother throwing on your ring gear. He was wearing all black this time, and you were wearing a bright yellow top and black shorts.
“Hey sunshine.” He said with a condescending, mocking tone as he eyed your apparel.
“Sunshine? Why? Because of my shirt?” You asked. “Was I supposed to match you or something?”
He shook his head and dropped it, exposing that dimple again. He pushed himself off the rails to stand up straight, looking down at you rather dramatically with the way he dropped his head.
“I didn’t say anything about your clothes.”
“You insinuated by the way you looked at my yellow shirt, then called me sunshine.” You pointed out, watching an amused grin spread across his lips before he dropped his head to cover it. You know you weren’t mistaking.
It was then that his music hit and the pop of the arena was already ringing your ears. He headed through the tunnel and you followed, unsure what you were actually supposed to do now that you were here.
The crowd went crazy when hook came out, but nearly insane when you popped out right behind him. He stopped at the top of the ramp to look amongst the sea of faces, and you endured it all next to him. You turned to look at him, only to find him staring down at you.
He nodded towards the ring, signaling for you to take the lead, so you did. On commentary once again, Taz was hyping it up for the viewers at home.
“That’s hook right there folks. The coldhearted handsome devil. He’s being accompanied by one of AEW’s crowd favorites, Y/N for this match. These two have been joined at the hip ever since Anna Jay knocked her upside the head with the FTW title. They’ve got each others backs, I’ll tell you that much.”
If you could hear commentary it would probably make you laugh just how much his dad sells the storyline.
You stopped at the end of the ramp and waited for hook to walk down. He stopped next to you for a moment, the cameraman panning in on the two of you taking in the crowd reactions before he nodded towards where you would be standing, signaling for you to take your place while he rounds the ring.
When the bell rings and the match gets started, you watch on from where you stood leaning against the canvas. You’ve seen a few of his matches but never up close. It was clear exactly why he was favored in this industry. His quickness and agility was otherworldly. He was fast thinking and cleverly destructive.
He made quick work of getting his opponent down. It had only taken about three and a half minutes and the redrum was locked in, and seconds after, his music boomed through the arena.
You clapped genuinely, watching as he got to his feet and slipped out the ring on your side. He nodded towards the tunnels and by this point you already knew to take the lead while he walks behind you. No idea why he prefers it that way, but you didn’t question.
When you reached the stage, you stopped and turned to face the crowd. He got up next to you and looked at you questionably when you grabbed his wrist, even though he already knew what you were going to do.
You raised his hand in the air and listened to the crowd explode. The pop was unlike anything you’d witnessed yourself, and it was doing a pretty good job at bringing your confidence level way up.
“Probably one of AEW’s most unlikely duos. The coldhearted handsome devil and Y/N look like night and day standing next to each other.” Excalibur mentions on commentary.
“Their appearances may be complete opposites but don’t let that fool you my guy. These two are a force to be reckoned with.” Taz adds.
You get halfway through the tunnel when you look over your shoulder to find hook trailing closely behind you.
“Good job.” You smile at him, though he doesn’t return the smile back. You didn’t expect him to, anyway. He hummed in response and dropped his head, ruffling his hair.
Just then, a text came through to your phone. You pulled it out of your pocket and read the group chat message.
“It’s Tony.” You tell hook. “He said me being ringside was a nice touch for whoever’s idea that was. Want me to tell him it was yours?”
“Nah.” He shortly replied. “Did he say anything else?” He asked, seeming a little curious.
“No.” You told him, watching as he nods once. “What do you think we’ll be doing next? Another segment? When even is this tagteam match happening?”
“Ask him.” He mutters.
He wasn’t saying much all of the sudden which confused you. It was like he retreated into a shell after he decided he didn’t like the outside world for the two minutes he experienced it.
“Are you tired?” You asked, noticing the questioning glance he gave you.
“No?”
“Oh. You sound tired.” You added as you headed down the hall with him, unsure where you were actually going since you just got caught up in talking to him.
“Not tired” he sighed, giving you the impression that he didn’t want to talk at all anymore. Or maybe he never even did in the first place.
“Alright well, I’ll see you next week then.” Your voice was far weaker than his was. He slowed down but didn’t stop, muttering “alright” before he kept walking down the hallway, leaving you standing in the middle of it for what felt like the hundredth time watching him leave.
———
A text from Tony came through two days later. It was a graph with the ratings for Wednesday night’s show and apparently the interactions with you and Hook brought a lot of attention on.
You were typing a reply when another message came through. It was next weeks plans for the two of you. Reading over it, you couldn’t help but to be confused. Apparently you were supposed to interfere in one of Anna’s matches that Jack was going to be standing ringside for. This time, you were going to be the one using the belt against her after hook takes it from jack.
Sounded like heel work in your opinion.
You didn’t reply due to the fact that you weren’t sure what to say, but hook did. His message came through a few minutes after the text was sent and was nothing but a simple okay emoji.
That night, you received a text from hook. It was short and simple like all the other ones had been.
“you own any black clothes?”
You felt like you could feel the sarcasm through the screen. What kind of question was that?
“Why?” You replied, not having much time to close your phone before another one came through.
“so we can match”
You understood the reasoning but weren’t super thrilled about black of all colors.
“Do you own anything other than black clothes?” You retorted. This time there was a pause between messages.
“what color do you want to wear, y/n” if you were standing in front of him having this conversation you just knew he’d have that bored look on his face. You thought for a minute about a reasonable color. Then decided on one he probably would glare at you for.
“Got anything yellow?” You grinned to yourself knowing that he was probably going to roll his eyes at that one.
“no.”
“Fine… Blue?”
“no.”
“Red?”
“no. wear black wednesday”
You stared down at that message for a moment debating on what to say back. You looked across the room at your suitcase overflowing with clothes but you already knew the only article of clothing you brought with you that was all black was a dress you wore to go out in. Nothing reasonable for the show.
“I don’t have anything black suitable for tv.”
“how would something not be suitable? just wear it”
You sighed deeply as you walked over to your suitcase and pulled out the dress that you only wore once simply because it rode up way too high all night long. You threw it on the bed and snapped a picture, sending it to him.
“This is it and I’m not wearing it.”
There was a couple moments that passed before you received a message back.
“i don’t see the issue”
“It’s revealing.”
“so is your ring gear but you still wear it?” You stared at that message wondering why you were standing in the middle of the room arguing with that man right now. And still, you continue to do so.
“That’s ring gear. That’s different.”
This time, a good five minutes pass by before he replies. You had just tossed your phone on the bed when you figured he was done texting only to grab it almost as quickly as you tossed it when your phone buzzed again.
“ill bring one of my hoodies then”
On the other end of the phone, Tyler was sitting at a restaurant table with his dad going over the next couple of weeks.
Taz was the one who told him that the two of you should match and it would probably do good at winning over the crowd and the viewers, but he was thinking more along the lines of his son wearing something other than the typical black attire he exhausts.
“It’s funny seeing you two up on that stage” taz chuckles as he digs his fork into his pasta. “You’re like the moon and she’s the sun, for now at least”
Tyler’s eyes lifted from his phone. He was staring at the three little dots while he awaited your response. He said he’d bring you one of his hoodies and for some reason he was apprehensive about sending that message. It felt like odd territory to him to be letting you wear his clothes, but apparently all you had was a little black dress you didn’t feel comfortable wearing.
“And I’ll tell you another thing, when you two team up in that ring, the fans are gonna lose their freakin’ minds”
Just then, a text came through and for some reason a slight smile landed on tyler’s lips, until his dad called it out.
“Who’s that?” He questioned, trying to lean foward to steal a glance at his son’s phone. He was quick to lock it and stuff it in his pocket.
“Y/N.” He muttered before he dug his own fork into his food.
“Have you talked to her about the turn yet?” Taz asked, and Tyler froze for a second.
“Nah, not yet.”
“She doesn’t know?” He questioned, looking a bit taken back. “What does she think the plans for you two are? You have to tell her, son.”
“I’m pretty sure she’ll figure it out on her own.” He grumbled, leaning back in his seat and dropping the fork against his plate.
“Tyler” taz shot him a look, “It was your idea. You need to be the one to tell her straight.”
And it was his idea. He approached Tony shortly after he left you in the hallway that first time the two of you talked, and pitched the idea that you should have a heel run by his side. Tony wasn’t apprehensive at all. To him, and to Hook, the idea of an America’s Sweetheart type of personality completely doing a 180 with the coldhearted handsome devil was golden.
It was just that he told Tony that he’d talk to you about it and never did. Plans had changed from the originality of the first idea and you had no clue about it.
“What’s gonna happen when she’s supposed to go out in front of thousands of people as a heel, and she’s thinking she’s still this babyface character?” Taz reasons, making Tyler drop his eyes to the table.
“She needs time to prepare. It’s not easy going a complete 180 son. Especially not if you wait until last minute to tell her.”
He retrieved his phone from his pocket and read your message back.
“Thank you” was all you said. His thumbs hovered over the screen before he finally managed a response. It was hard to put it into words for some reason and when he realized what it sounded like, he had to send a double text for clarification.
“can you come to my room later”
“to talk. it’s kinda important”
———
Later meant way later than you expected when Hook sent you the text letting you know what room number he was in at midnight.
Regardless of how tired you were, you were way more anxious than anything to figure out what was so important. You reached room 235 and knocked on his door. You heard some shuffling around before he opened it, hair even messier than usual and eyes low, like he was on the verge of passing out himself.
He stepped back and waved you in. You walked in and eyed him as he walked around you. He didn’t sit down anywhere and you didn’t make yourself comfy either. This was awkward. Probably the most awkward encounter you’ve had with him yet.
Truth was that he was a little nervous. He didn’t know how you were going to take the fact that this entire time, you were working on a heel turn without even knowing it. And he was the one behind it all.
He looked down at you, leaning against the wall as he contemplated the best way to go about the conversation. He never really got nervous about anything so this was fairly new and rather uncomfortable for him.
“Did you get that message from Tony about Wednesday?” He started off by asking, and you slowly nodded. You eyed him, trying to read an unreadable man.
“What did you think about it?” He was doing a good job at reading you though. Wasn’t hard since you had a tendency to wear your emotions on your face. He could tell you were skeptical of him in that moment by the way you stared at him solely. He’s seen that look from you a couple dozen times already and the only other one he can recognize that easily is the look you give when he makes a smart comment to you.
“You mean about me using the title to hit Anna? It sounded like heel work to me.” You told him, watching as he nodded.
“Cause it is.”
You blinked twice. “I’m not a heel.”
“I talked to Tony about this storyline a while back. We agreed it’s a better idea if you have a heel run with me.”
You stared up at him, a bit lost. The original idea was for the babyfaces to win in the end, since jack and Anna were already heels. Now it turns out that you had a whole new character transition coming you didn’t even know about in the first place and frankly, you were unsure how to feel.
“Wait so this whole time I’ve been working on turning heel? And you knew that and didn’t tell me?” You peered your eyes at him, glaring. “Why not?”
“Never had the chance, I guess.” He shrugged.
“Never had the chance?” You felt your eyes form into small slits. “You had plenty. How come you got to decide what I do with my gimmick and I didn’t even get the chance to give my opinion?”
Just then, a voice popped into his head, belonging to his dad. Women don’t like when you lie to them, son.
He didn’t intend to lie. It just happened that way. He kind of assumed you’d catch on with the whole heel turn thing and not ask questions but now that he knows you a little better, he knows better than that.
“Your goody two shoes persona wasn’t working well for you anyway, Y/N. We knew it wouldn’t sell for a storyline like this so we came up with something better. If Tony pitched the idea you wouldn’t be getting all fired up at him”
“It’s not the fact that I’ll be turning heel, it’s the fact that nobody told me. Especially you.” You pointed out. You weren’t even mad about the new plans. You would’ve agreed to it anyway if that was the first idea Tony pitched, but you were walking around with no idea what was coming for you and that alone made you more nervous than you needed to be.
“Maybe you didn’t realize, but this is my very first storyline. The last thing I want to do is blow my chance at another one and I’ve been going around absolutely oblivious to the fact that I’m expected to do a whole heel turn in who knows how soon, and you just let me look stupid when you were the one who unrightfully came up with the idea in the first place!”
You rarely yelled at people and he rarely ever got yelled at. It was heightening the tensions between both of you and he expected as much, but didn’t foresee you chewing him out this bad.
“You’re not going around looking stupid! Tony gives you the rundown every week. You know what’s coming and if you didn’t by now you would’ve figured it out.”
You were somewhat baffled by his defensiveness. There was no true justification to what he omitted and he probably knew that full well and just didn’t want to admit he was wrong.
“Yeah, like last minute!” You shout, not meaning to be as loud as you were but you couldn’t help it. “This means something to me, Tyler!”
The use of his name took him back a little and you didn’t mean for that to slip in the first place but for some reason Hook wasn’t the first name to come out in that moment.
Just then, there was a knock on his door that caught both of your attentions.
“Go away” he shouted, but that’s when his dad’s voice reached both of you.
“Open the door, son.”
He rolled his eyes as he walked over. Opening the door and taking a step back so taz could walk in. It was strange to see him wearing pajamas but you ignored that.
“I can hear you two across the hall. What is going on in here?”
Tyler looked at you for a second before he looked back at his dad. “She’s not happy about the heel run.”
“No-“ you stepped forward, correcting him. “I’m not happy about being lied to.”
Taz gave his son a look. A stern I told you so kind of glance.
“Alright” taz held his hands up, “I get that, Y/N. I told this man that he needed to let you know what was going on and not at the very last minute. He doesn’t listen to nobody but himself and half the time that steers him wrong.”
“Clearly.” You huffed out, crossing your arms.
He turned to Tyler and shrugged. “This one’s on you bud. Make it right but keep it down. We don’t need to draw attention.”
You nodded and taz made his way back out, leaving you and Tyler alone once again. He dropped his head and ran his hands through his hair, thinking.
“I’m not happy about this.” You state.
“Couldn’t tell.” He muttered under his breath. The fact that he had the audacity to be sarcastic was mind blowing to you. It made you actually want to scream at him but the last thing you wanted was Taz to come back and give you both some sort of lecture or something.
Tyler picked his head up, tired eyes landing on you. “I’m sorry for not telling you sooner.” He said, shrugging his shoulders. It was a half ass apology but the only one he’d ever given. He never really cared to give anyone that type of respect, or what he thinks is respect in his mind.
“There was no reason why you kept it from me.” You remind him, watching him nod.
“I know.” He sighed.
“And I have a right to be mad right now because my whole entire image is about to change dramatically and I haven’t even been prepared for it.”
“Yeah, but you’re not doing it all on your own. You’re doing it with me. I’m turning too.”
“Yeah, but you had time to prepare for that.” You pointedly state. “How much time do I have? Literally I’m about to start at the next show and I didn’t even realize it.”
“It’s not something you really have to prepare for, Y/N. You just go out there and put on a show. It’s not much different than what we do right now.” He walked around you and made his way to the bed, sitting down on the edge.
“It’s different for me. I’m not mean in general. I need to practice.”
You watched a weird look cross over his face, bringing his lips up in a faint smirk. “You’re not mean?” He quirked a brow. “Not even a little bit?”
“No?” You shrugged.
You heard a low chuckle before he looked down at his phone in hand. You sighed when you realized that this conversation was probably going nowhere fast and the best thing you could do was accept the reality of the situation and work with what you’re dealing with.
“Since you seem to think it’s easy becoming a whole different person, tell me where to start.” You plopped down on the chair awkwardly positioned halfway across the room. His eyes lifted from his phone before he tossed it to the side.
“It’s just acting, Y/N. It’s not like you’re becoming a different person all together. It’s literally one day out of the week that you put on a tough face and sell a gimmick. There’s nothing complicated about it. You’re complicating it yourself.”
You glared at him and the annoyance that was so evident in his tone. He sighed and leaned back on his hands, his eyes lowering by the second.
“I guess just start acting like you hate the world. Go out there and give everyone the biggest eat shit look. Be a little more aggressive in the ring and more no fucks given outside of it.” He advised, watching you nod before you stood up from the chair.
“So basically, be more like you.” You pointed out. Before he could respond to that, you held up your hand to silence him. “Got it.” You said before you left his room.
———
“Doesn’t make sense why he didn’t tell you.” Skye says as you and her head down the hall towards catering. “It’s literally your gimmick changing.”
“I know.” You roll your eyes. You were sick and tired of thinking on it. At this point you’d decided to stop wishing you would’ve known beforehand, since clearly there was no changing that, and take the bull by the horns.
Even though Tyler told you that nothing really changes, everything was about to. Your persona, your ring gear, especially your attitude. You had a lot of winning over to do and you were determined to use this transformation to the best of your ability. No matter how bitter you might feel about the fact that he kept the whole thing from you for weeks.
“Doesn’t matter. I’m gonna be a good heel. I’ve been thinking about all of it. I have tons of ideas and I’m starting to actually get excited about it.” You told her, rounding the corner.
“Speak of the devil.” Skye muttered. “Want me to wait up for you or are you good?”
“I’m good.” You nod as you watch him slowly approach with a black hoodie on and one draped across his shoulder.
He got a look from Skye as she passed by but he didn’t pay attention. He pulled that hoodie off of his shoulder and handed it to you wordlessly. You eyed him as you took it from his hand and threw it over your own shoulder. You hadn’t spoke since that night in his room and he’d been meaning to ask you if you were still mad but never ended up doing so.
The look you were giving him was telling him the answer is definitely yes, you’re still mad.
“I’m going out tomorrow to get some different clothes for my heel era so Ill give this back to you after we’re done tonight.”
“Alright.” He nodded, watching as you pull the hoodie off and hold it up to see it better. Clearly it was going to swallow you whole.
“This might as well be a baggy dress on me.” You pointed out as you held it against your body, showing that it falls nearly to your knees. He noticed the same thing.
“You can cut it if you need to.” He shrugged. “To make it fit decently.”
Your brows knitted together as you looked back up at him. “If I’m giving it back why would I cut it?”
He shrugged again, looking down at the large hoodie covering you whole.
“You can keep it. I don’t really care. Might need to match again sometime later.”
For some reason he was being nice and it was strange to you. You’d chalked it up to the fact that he feels guilty for lying to you. As he should. You tossed the hoodie back over your shoulder.
“I’ll deal with it. You can have it back later.” You say before you brush past him and head down to catering to meet up with Skye.
“What happened?” She asked when you took a seat. Her eyes adverted to your shoulder. “Is that his hoodie he was just wearing?!” You could see the thoughts rolling around in her mind and quickly shut them down. You slung the hoodie down on the table.
“No, not the one he was just wearing, Skye. Just one of them.”
“You’re wearing his clothes? What did I miss in the last five minutes?”
“Nothing.” You shake your head. “He texted me a few days ago telling me I needed to wear black so we could match and I told him I didn’t have anything. So he brought me his hoodie. I’m giving it back right after our interference and getting some new clothes tomorrow.”
She held a weird grin on her face before she looked down at her phone. “Mmkay.” She chuckled.
“What?” You peered your eyes at her.
“Nothing it’s just- it’s funny.” She shrugged.
“What is?”
“The fact that you pretend to be so annoyed by him but you’re willingly going to wear his hoodie.” She pointed at the clothing on the table. “It’s funny.”
“I don’t pretend to be so annoyed by him. He actually does annoy me. I tried to be his friend but he’s so hot and cold all the time. He will be a decent person one minute and an asshole the next, it’s exhausting.” You rambled, making sure she got the point but judging by the smirk on her face, she didn’t buy it.
“Right.” She nodded. “Well it’s almost nine. You should be meeting up with lover boy for your interference in a few minutes.” She teased, earning another roll of your eyes as you stood up from the table with a huff. “Don’t forget his hoodie.” She said before you snatched it up and headed out of catering.
He wasn’t there when you got to the gorilla but you knew he’d show soon. The directors were standing by, seemingly waiting for Hook so they could send you both out at the right time.
You took that time to toss the hoodie on, and it did nothing at all for your figure. It was far baggier than you expected, so much that the sleeves swallowed your hands.
You heard footsteps behind you tracking fast and turned to face the man in question. He took one look at you and his lips turned up in a smirk he was clearly trying to hide.
“This thing is huge on me.” You deadpan.
“I told you to cut it.” He reminds you. Then he reaches down to the ends of the sleeves and rolls them up so your hands are exposed. “Can’t fight if you don’t have fists.”
You stared at him while he rolled the other sleeve up. When your hands were exposed you pulled your hair out of the hood and did your best to make yourself decent before the music hit. As much as you could given the circumstances, at least.
Tyler held his gaze on you for a moment longer before he tore it away the moment your eyes connected, looking down at the floor and fluffing his hair. For once, you matched. You’d noticed his gold cross pendant he was wearing and remembered the one you had on yourself.
“Funny.” You said dryly. “I have one too.”
You pulled the necklace out from under the hoodie and laid it against your chest. He looked down and nodded. “I noticed.” He said, just as your music hit.
You turned around and got ready for your first appearance leading up to a heel turn. You didn’t want to psych yourself out about it, but you felt a little nervous.
“Never thought I’d be coming out to this type of song.” He commented from behind you.
“It’ll be changing soon, evidently.” You muttered before heading down the tunnel.
Anna was staring at the stage when you and Hook came through the tunnel. He threw on his best scowl and it made it a little easier for you to mimick him. Jack came racing up the ramp, hook moving you to the side before he lunged towards Perry.
He snatched the belt clean from jacks hands and tossed it over to you. The crowd went completely and utterly insane as the boys backed down the ramp, throwing punches everywhere they could visibly see of each other’s bodies.
You raced towards the ring as anna was sliding out of it, calling jacks name over and over in an attempt to get him away from hook, and as soon as she had noticed you getting close, she turned around and you slammed the title into the side of her head like she’d done to you weeks prior.
She fell to the floor and Jack immediately rushed to her aid, screaming and cursing you and Hook as you held up the title and shouted back, “This is gonna be his. You just wait! It was always his!”
A proud smirk from hook was caught on camera but you didn’t get to see it. He knew that there were no lines to this. You just came up with something and the fast thinking was what really got him.
Jack then got up to his feet and raced towards you both, but hook stepped in front of you and held his arm out, blocking Perry from getting any closer.
On commentary, everyone was eating the whole situation up.
“Looks like the coldhearted handsome devil has made quite an impact on Y/N!” Excalibur shouted through his headpiece. “This is wild!”
“That it is my friend. I said it from the start. Those two are an absolute force to be reckoned with. God help jack and Anna. Wouldn’t wanna be those clowns right now.” Taz chuckled.
You and hook walked back up to the stage and just before you were about to head through the face tunnel, he grabbed your wrist and nodded his head to the left.
You looked up at him, realizing it was happening this soon. You heard the commotion from thousands around the second you let him lead you through to the heel side, in your mind, you made it official. You were no longer the babyface you’d been for over a year. The transition was starting faster than you’d expected but, it felt a tad bit easier to have someone doing it with you.
“That’s not a shock to me. I could see that coming with those two. Bonnie and Clyde of AEW.” tony announced from commentary.
“Y/N and Hook have made their impression here tonight, and they’re just getting started boys.”
You couldn’t deny that you had an adrenaline rush running ramped. He turned around to let you catch up to him before you entered the hallway.
“How’d it feel?” He asked.
At that moment you almost felt thankful to him for pitching the heel turn idea to Tony in the first place but then you remembered how he kept it from you for weeks. Either way you were able to not let that bother you for the time being.
“Kind of exhilarating. Did you hear that crowd?” You say as you round the corner. There’s looks being sent your way from multiple talent. In your mind it’s judgement but in all actuality they’re wondering how long you and Hook have been hooking up on the low.
“Yeah, they loved it.” He says. He walked a little slower than usual. Usually he was ready to get to the shower but he didn’t mind talking to you a little before that today. He wouldn’t tell you that though.
“I didn’t expect it.” You say. Just then someone calls your name. You turn around and find that it’s Ricky. He reaches his hand out to dap hook up but his eyes stay on you.
“That was fucking crazy what you did out there.” He tells you, making a grin spread across your lips. “I never expected you to turn heel, especially not with my man Hook.” He throws his arm around hooks shoulders, and he stiffens them immediately.
“Next time you’re on I need a heads up so I can watch in the viewing room. Both of you.” He looks at Hook who suddenly has a stiff jaw. He picked up on a vibe Ricky was emitting and he didn’t like it. He didn’t know why but he wanted to get you away from him.
“Thanks Ricky.” You smiled before he nodded his head and gave Hook a pat on his back. “Good choice man.”
You didn’t miss the way hooks eyes followed him all the way down the hall. He suddenly looked like he reverted right back to the version of him you had an unfortunate encounter with weeks ago.
“You okay?” You asked, but he didn’t look at you until Ricky was out of his sights. Then he turned back started walking. You followed close behind, reaching for his arm when you realize you were being ignored.
“Hey” you stopped him. He turned to face you but kept his head down, staring at the floor. “Why do you suddenly look so mad? What just happened?”
“I’m not.” He picked his head up. You could see it on his face. It was clear as day whether he wanted it to be or not.
“You are though.” You attested. “Did he do something to you? I thought you were friends.”
“Can you drop it?” He quickly cut in with a sharp tone. You took a step back, almost feeling like his words forcefully pushed you away. He noticed the distance you put in and his eyes seemed to have softened, but only for a mere second.
He turned back towards the hall and muttered, “see you next week, Y/N.” Before, once again, he left you there watching him go.
———-
“Clearly jealous.” Willow nods dramatically.
“Obviously.” Skye agrees.
“That’s hard for me to believe.” You tell them as you adjust your ring gear. You had a segment to shoot tonight in the ring. It was going to be the first time you actually talked in front of the crowd and you were beyond anxious about it. Tyler was going to be in the ring with you but he wasn’t going to say anything and the fact that you hadn’t spoken to him since that last conversation made you even more nervous.
“Because he wants you.” Willow smirked. “And if you haven’t already heard, everyone is talking about it.”
“Who’s everyone?” You asked as you strapped the laces on your new shoes. It was going to be a little difficult to break in another pair but you assumed that was the price you pay when you turn heel and can’t wear bright, glorious colors anymore.
That was the whole reason you donned an all black attire tonight. Black nails to match. It was never something you expected to wear but if you were going to be a heel you were going to rock it.
“Everyone as in everyone in this building right now.” Willow says. “People keep wondering how long you’ve been secretly hooking up under everyone’s nose.”
“But we’re not.”
“Not yet.” Skye points. “I give it two more weeks and you’re going to send us a picture from his room.”
“I give it one and a half.”
You rolled your eyes and stood up from the bench. “It’s not gonna happen. It’s nothing like that.”
“Then why did he suddenly get all weird when Ricky came up to you?” Willow raised her brows. “Skye, please tell me, why would a man do that?”
“Because he’s jealous. Because he wants you.” She answered, and you shook your head back.
“Whatever. I have to go. I have a segment in the ring in about ten minutes.”
“Good luck. We’ll be watching from the viewing room.” Willow calls out as you head through the door.
To your surprise, Tyler was already waiting for you when you reached the gorilla. To his surprise, you looked like a certified heel. The new attire and dark makeup, it looked way too natural on you.
He had on that signature black hoodie which reminded you of the one you had laying across your bed that you forgot to give back to him.
“Shit, I forgot I still have your hoodie.” You blurted, watching his dark eyes linger down to your attire before they made their way back to your face.
“Told you to keep it.” He said. It was clear he was in another one of his moods again tonight. It was really starting to bother you how he switches so fast, but right now the last thing you needed was to get in an argument and forget your lines. This time you knew you had them memorized thanks to staying up until three am studying them.
“I’ll give it back next time I see you.” You mumbled before music started playing and a song he recognized, but not as your own reached his ears.
“You changed the music?” He asked as he stepped to the side to let you lead.
“I’m a heel now, remember?”
You slid past him and made your way out. It was strange knowing you could no longer interact with the fans. Usually you’d blow a kiss or tag their hands but now you practically ignored them. At least they were engaged and supportive of this new you, so it seemed. Or maybe they were just going crazy over the two of you. Either way, you weren’t the ones getting boo’d.
You plastered a scowling look on your face and tried to keep it there as you made your way to the ring. Hook followed closely behind you, trying not to bob his head to your music.
You slid under the ropes and he took the steps, but you both met back in the middle. You took a minute to take in the reactions from the crowd. It was something you had to try hard not to smile about. Which was going to take some work.
Tony Schiavone handed you a mic and you snatched it from his hand, all for the dramatics, of course.
“Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven’t already noticed, you’re looking at two of the absolute best AEW has ever had to offer you.” You pointed at Hook who nodded his head, stepping side to side on his feet.
You weren’t being boo’d, which came as a thrill to you. If they were eating it up you just wanted to give them more.
“When Anna Jay and Jack Perry made the unfortunate decision to target us, we made the decision to fight back, and what you saw last week when I knocked that bitch out with Hook’s FTW title-“ you paused to make sure the fans were taking it all in, “It was just the beginning.”
You looked over at Hook who continued to nod, chewing on a piece of gum as his eyes scanned the crowd.
“And when Anna recovers from that blow to the head she took from me, I’ll be waiting. And as for Jack, well” you chuckled darkly as you nodded towards your partner, “Let’s just say Hook was some fun things planned for him.”
He looked over at you, and you could see a faint smile on his face before he ran his hand over his lips.
“You see, I realized something a little while ago. You know, after Anna smashed the FTW title into my head?” You reminded the crowd of weeks ago.
“It’s that being nice gets you used and abused. All the times I’ve let that bitch get away with attacking me, I regret it. I really do, but it’s alright, because it will never happen again.”
The crowd popped when you took a pause, but you had to keep that cold expression on your face.
“So Anna Jay, Jungleboy, if you’re watching from the hospital, I just want to say, get well soon. Please.” The camera panned on you and you shot a mischievous grin before you dropped the mic and heard the crowd scream their lungs out.
Your music hit and Hook walked over to the ropes, holding one up for you to slip through.
You headed towards the stage, trying not to let a smile break out. You felt his arm brush yours as he walked alongside you.
When you disappeared through the tunnel you huffed out a deep breath. “Fuck that was exciting.” You chuckled as you placed your hand over your racing heart.
“Fun isn’t it?” He asked as he squeezed into the space next to you.
“Yeah, really fun.” You said before rounding the corner to find Skye standing there. Her match was next but you’d forgotten that in the mix of everything. Her eyes lingered to the man next to you before they fell to you with a smirk plastering her face.
“That was hot.” She remarked as she walked up to you. Tyler stopped when you did, to your surprise and Skye’s.
“You think it was good?” You asked.
“It was perfect. You are doing the damn thing, isn’t she hook?”
You could see what she was doing and tried to send her a look but her eyes were on him instead.
“Yeah, she did real good.” He nodded. That’s when she looked at you again and caught the look you sent.
“You two are a good duo. Can’t wait to see what comes next.” She ran her hand over your arm before she brushed past you.
Tyler looked back down at you and you hoped he didn’t pick up on Skye’s insinuations. He did, but he didn’t mention it.
He started walking when you did, and again, you saw all the people around with their eyes on the two of you. You wondered if Skye and Willow were right. Did everyone think you and Tyler were hooking up? And if so, why? You didn’t think you gave that impression at all. It was just acting, like Tyler told you.
Truth is that Tyler had been approached quite a few times, being asked about you more often than not. He never gave anyone a straight answer, which obviously left them to make their own assumptions.
“Everyone keeps staring.” You whispered.
“They’ll do that.” He muttered back.
You were heading towards the locker room when Jeff Hardy came around a corner, a smile brought to his and Hook’s face when they saw each other.
“What’s up man.” Jeff greeted, “And ma’am.”
“What’s up” hook nodded.
Jeff’s eyes adverted between the two of you, then landed back on Hook. “When are we gonna see this duo beat some ass?” He asked, “I’m ready for it.”
“Whenever Tony calls the shot.” Hook shrugged. “I’m ready too. I think we both are.” He glanced at you. Jeff brought a full fledged smile to Hook’s face pretty easily. One you hadn’t seen from him in all the weeks you’d been around him.
“It’s highly anticipated. From a lot of people, actually.” Jeff chuckles and hook drops his head, seeming to try to hide that smile that you evidently caught.
“We can tell.” He says.
Jeff’s eyes switch back to you again before he looks back at Hook. Both men were grinning from ear to ear as if they had some sort of secret telepathy going on.
“Alright well I’ll see you around brother, and you maam.” He nodded his head and you nodded back.
Alright bro.” Hook said before Jeff walked around the two of you.
“Best friend?” You teased, watching as he brought his hand to his mouth, physically wiping away that smile.
“Something like that, yeah.” He said as the two of you made your way towards your respected rooms.
“Kind of cool how everyone likes our heel turn. I thought we’d get hate for it.”
“We still might, but it’ll be alright.” He shrugged. You reached the end of the hall that branches off into two opposing directions and it hit you that this was the first time he hadn’t left you standing in the middle of it.
He stopped and turned to face you, adjusting the collar of his hoodie.
“You did good out there.” He tells you, surprisingly. “You should think so too.”
You were somewhat dumbfounded at the fact that he actually complimented you without underlying sarcasm. You smiled even though you didn’t mean to, assuming your lips had a mind of their own.
“Thanks.” You say as you suddenly feel the air getting thick, but not as suffocating as usual.
Hook nodded before his eyes adverted to the empty hall behind you. He didn’t have anywhere to really be, but he told you he did.
“I’m gonna go shower.” He lied for no reason. You just nodded. You felt your hands clamming up, sweat spreading across your palms and didn’t like it.
“Alright well, see you next week?” You didn’t know why you asked. Of course you’d see him next week. It’s been like that for a while now.
“Yeah.” He nodded before he brushed past you, heading one way while you headed the other.
————
A text from Tony at eleven in the morning got your attention that following Saturday.
“This is it. Big match Wednesday.” Was all it said.
It felt like you’d anticipated this whole thing for so long and now that it was coming you weren’t sure how to feel. You stared down at the message until another one came through, but not on the group chat.
“you ready?” He asked, clearly referring to Tony’s previous message.
“No lol” you replied back, but you were being honest.
“you’re ready” he quickly responded, and all you did was stare at those words for a minute to long.
Why it was making you nervous, you weren’t sure. Probably because it was your biggest match to date and held a lot of value to your current heel run but, what happens next? What happens when you and Hook beat Jack and Anna? Is there even going to be a you and Hook anymore?
Lots of questions were left unanswered because you were too hesitant to ask them. You just decided to play it by ear, but the thought of a heel run all on your own wasn’t very appealing to you. As much as you didn’t want to admit it, having Hook alongside you, sort of paving the way for all your antics made things less worrisome and a lot more fun for you.
You truly couldn’t picture doing it without him and that alone was something you never expected.
Another text came through and you were surprised to find that it was Skye. She sent you the picture from AEW’s instagram account when they announced the tagteam match on Wednesday.
“This is your biggest match yet girl. I’m so proud of you. You’re gonna kill it!”
You smiled down at your phone and typed a couple hearts back. The support you had made things a little easier but your nerves were still trying to get the best of you, and you assumed it was going to be that way until the match was over.
————
It was anticipated and highly talked about all over the internet. You were constantly being tagged on twitter, instagram and TikTok. It seemed like the whole world was awaiting this match and the time had finally come.
You were heading towards the gorilla with a racing heart. You kept trying to tell yourself that this was just like any other match, any other opponent but it wasn’t. It was your first match as a heel, first match as a tagteam and longest tv time to date. You had a couple moves you were expected to pull that you never had before and there was very little familiarity around the entire situation.
“Hey” you heard a deep voice from behind you. You turned around to find Ricky standing there.
“Hey” you smiled, adjusting your black wristbands.
“Good luck on your match tonight. Just wanted to say that.” He grinned, and it was then that you picked up on a vibe that you weren’t all that into. You took a small step back but kept your politeness.
“Thanks, I appreciate it.” You say. Before you can turn back, he asks another question. One that catches you off guard.
“Hey, are you and hook like, a thing?”
Your brows knitted together but you wiped that look away quickly. You were about to respond when you felt eyes on you, and just like all the times before, you knew Hook was around.
Ricky’s eyes adverted above your head and that’s when you felt warmth radiating against your back.
“Y/N, you ready?” His deep voice reached you, making your heart flutter for some reason.
He held his eyes on Ricky as you turned around to face him. You could see that familiar expression like before. Jaw set and teeth clenched. It was then that you realized Skye and Willow were right. Hook was jealous. He didn’t get that way at all when Jeff approached the two of you. It was just Ricky.
You spared the man a glance over your shoulder and caught the disappointment on his face, but you couldn’t take enough time to think about it when you had a match in a few minutes.
“What was he talking to you about?” Hook muttered next to you.
You felt a little nervous to say it, but when his eyes landed on you, it urged you to tell him.
“He wished me luck on the match and… he asked if we were a thing.”
His jaw throbbed and you caught it, but by the time that happened you were already reaching the gorilla.
What you didn’t know was that Ricky had been coming up to him asking the same thing, and at one point he expressed that he wanted to ask you to go out with him. He thought he made it clear when he glared the man down but evidently he didn’t make it clear enough. Either that or Ricky just didn’t care, which was what Hook was now figuring on.
He knew he couldn’t get distracted. A lot was riding on this match for you and he didn’t want to ruin that. He pushed the thoughts out of his head and turned to face you instead.
“Ready?” He asked, but he could tell that you were anxious. You still had those wide, round eyes that reminded him of a puppy and as much as you might be good at playing a heel, you just weren’t that person on the inside.
“Ready as I can be.” You nodded, attempting to collect yourself.
Jack’s music was almost finished and you knew that meant it was time for you and Hook to come out. You took in a deep breath and he noticed that it was shaky.
“Something that helps me when I feel under pressure is thinking about the look on the faces of all the people who ever doubted me when they have to watch me prove them wrong.” He blurted, shrugging a shoulder.
You thought on that. Remembering back when you first came to AEW and had no foothold in the industry. All the mean, offensive things you’d heard about yourself start replaying over and over again in your mind and to your surprise, you felt a little bit of adrenaline surge.
“That’s helpful, actually” you tell him, noticing the right side of his mouth tipping upwards.
Just then, the intro of Chairman’s Intent boomed through the speakers and Hook nodded. “Remember that if you get nervous.”
You nodded back before he stepped to the side, as he usually did, to let you lead the way.
You headed out with him trailing right behind you and held your eyes on both Anna and Jack standing in the ring, amping each other up.
The glares being shared between the four of you was making for great tensions arising in the arena and the crowd was intensely engaged in all of it, which made you happy, of course, but you couldn’t show that.
You headed in one direction and he headed in the other, you both circling the ring with eyes on your opponents.
When you passed each other, he held his hand out. You tagged it as you walked past and that simple interaction had the crowd bursting with cheers.
You met up at the steel steps and he stepped back, waving you to go first. You stepped up onto the canvas and slipped between the ropes, Hook following. He didn’t lean against the turnbuckles like he usually did but you assumed that was because this wasn’t one of his typical matches. He stayed at your side and shot daggers to jack and Anna.
You and Anna were going first. You walked up to her, showing no signs of intimidation as you stood toe to toe. She smirked down at you before forcefully pushing you a foot back, making you stumble before you caught your footing.
You wiped that grin off of her face when you delivered a harsh slap to her cheek and from that point on, the two of you were rolling around the ring, throwing fists and kneeing ribs until Paul said it was enough.
You put some separation between you two and that’s when she tagged Jack, so you went to your corner where hook was waiting with an extended hand, eyeing you as you approached.
“You good?”
“I’m good” you slapped his hand and he hopped over the top rope, lunging towards back with a force that knocked him off his feet.
The crowd went wild at his explosiveness and the energy in the arena was absolutely riveting. It could’ve given you a high at that point.
You watched as Hook clotheslined jack right over the ropes, and when he hit the floor, Anna hopped off of the canvas. Hook jumped down and grabbed jack by his hair, but that’s when Anna came behind him and jabbed her elbow into the side of his neck, bringing him down to his knees.
You hopped down and raced over, grabbing her from behind and spinning her until she slammed into the barricades. Hook watched for a moment before he returned his attention to jack.
The two of them were back in the ring while you and Anna threw punches on the outside.
She was way more aggressive than you were, making you feel the urge to hit a little harder. You heard Hook shouting and you both looked up, finding that Jack had used Hook’s redrum against him, but Hook was trying to fight it, and failing.
You kicked Anna back and created enough space to slide under the ropes and break the hold. Hook fell to his knees and jack rose to his feet, walking you back towards the turnbuckles before you felt annas hands around your ankles and your face crashed into the canvas.
You lifted your head to see blood stains dripping from your mouth. Your tongue slid over your teeth to see if one was broken but all you tasted was metallic.
You glanced up to see Hook’s eyes on you. He was in the middle of getting jack ready for a German Suplex when he got distracted by the blood pouring from your busted lip.
He snapped back into it and slung jack over, then got back to his feet like he didn’t take a harsh landing himself and walked over to you.
Kneeling down, he scanned every inch of your face. This wasn’t planned and you both knew that. There was concern in his eyes that quickly turned into undoubted rage when jack grabbed Hook’s shoulders from behind and slammed him down to the canvas.
It was only then that he realized you were bleeding but by that time, it was too late for him.
Hook rose up quickly and threw his fists into jacks jaw. He stumbled back, falling against the turnbuckles and hook just didn’t stop.
Paul had to separate the two, and you when he did, Jack shouted out, “I didn’t know she was bleeding man!”
You got back up and saw the look on Anna’s face when she noticed all the blood leaving a trail from your lip to your chin. She didn’t mean it, and you weren’t mad. Accidents happened all the time, it’s a part of the business.
Hook’s eyes followed you as you walked around the ring back over to your corner, and tensions seemed to have died down when he saw that you were okay.
You held your hand out for him, knowing you and Anna were the ones finishing the match and he hesitated a little bit before he tagged you in.
“You alright?” He asked, and you nodded before you hopped over the top rope.
Anna lunged foward and you stepped to the side, letting her slam into the turnbuckle. Hook smirked at this, it was a classic move.
You grabbed her by the back of her head and slammed her down on her back, watching as she clutched her neck and rolled around, before you pulled her back up.
You knew what was next and had to remember what Hook said that night that you learned you’d be using his finisher to end this match.
Anna was a good bit taller but since you brought a six foot man to his knees, you knew size wasn’t an obstacle.
She turned her back in an attempt to create some distance and you quickly sprung forward and hopped on her. Jack immediately slid under the ropes but that’s when hook raced in and wrapped his arm under his jaw, immediately making him wobbly at the knees.
“Lock it in!” Hook shouted at you as he hopped up and wrapped his legs around jacks waist, effectively bringing him down to the canvas.
You dug your knees into Anna’s sides and reared back, holding on tight when your back hit the canvas and within only seconds, they both tapped out and Hook’s music bursted through the arena, though it wasn’t too easy to hear over the eruption of the crowd.
You kicked Anna’s limp body off of you and looked up to see Hook’s extended hand. You took it, helping you to your feet before he held both your hands in the air.
His eyes would’ve been scanning the arena but they were focused on the blood smearing your skin instead. He nodded towards the tunnels and you lead the way, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand, and feeling the sting of an open wound.
“That was a hell of a match right there boys” taz exclaimed from commentary.
“That it was, taz, those two know how to bring the energy to an arena” tony chipped in.
“I’ll tell you what, I wasn’t too thrilled about the new attitude from Y/N at first, but she’s toughened up a lot since her and Hook teamed up.” Excalibur adds.
“He’s coldhearted and she’s following in his footsteps I guess” tony chuckled
“No, I’ll tell you this much. I’ve had many, many conversations with the coldhearted handsome devil and with Y/N myself and those two simply have like minds, like-personalities and like-spirits. We should’ve seen this one coming boys, it was bound to happen.”
As soon as the arena was behind you, you felt his hand on your shoulder, turning you to face him. His eyes were trained on the laceration but you quickly covered it with your hand.
“It’s fine” you tell him. You wanted to continue feeling the rush that the big win gave you, wondering why he didn’t seem excited at all.
“I don’t care about the cut, I’m too pumped up right now” you tell him as you head through the tunnel with a little pep in your step.
“It’s deep.” He says as he catches up. “I think you should go make sure you don’t need stitches”
“It’s just a cut, it’s fine Tyler.”
Accidentally once again, you said his real name. Once again, he felt a little taken back by it, but tried not to show it.
“It’s bleeding a lot.” He keeps on, like it hasn’t stopped at all.
You wiped the blood with the back of your hand and he grabbed your wrist to show you the crimson covering your skin. “That is a lot.”
“I’ve had worse, seriously. I’ll just go wash my face and hold a gauze to it for a couple minutes and it’ll stop.”
Before he could object again, Skye and Willow were both racing up to you. Their arms engulfed you and you felt the giddiness arising within you again. You glanced over at Tyler who was watching the whole group hug with an evident, proud looking smile.
“You are the baddest fucking bitch” Skye says when they unwrap their arms. “That shit was so good I would watch it a hundred times!”
You couldn’t contain the smile breaking out, and that’s when Willow asks, “Does your mouth hurt? That was a nasty fall.”
“Yeah but she got up and kept fighting cause she’s a bad fucking bitch” Skye grins.
“It’s fine, I don’t even feel it I’m too happy right now” you say as you glance back over to see that Tyler was no longer there. Your eyes adverted all around but he had disappeared elsewhere.
“C’mon, we’re gonna get you cleaned up.” Willow grabs your hand and pulls you along. “Oh, and we’re going out tonight to celebrate you.”
————
You stumbled through the hotel doors at one in the morning, wobbly on your feet with willow and Skye by your side. You’d went out to a bar on the north side of town and downed way too many drinks that you could actually remember but you were still on a high from your match that you didn’t even realize how drunk you actually were.
You were all three laughing amongst yourselves about nothing in particular when you caught sight of Taz coming out of the hotel gym.
He had an amused smirk on his face when he approached the three of you.
“Ladies, looks like you had a good time tonight.” He said as he eyed all three of you before focusing on you specifically.
“You took a nasty fall, Y/N, my son was just telling me about how you were too stubborn to get it checked out.” He chucked. That’s when your eyes lingered over to the gym doors.
“Yeah but it’s fine” you slurred. “I was so pumped I didn’t even feel a thing.”
“Be careful about that adrenaline rush, it can sneak up on you sometimes” he said.
“Okay. Is he in there?” You pointed to the gym, stumbling a little bit.
“Tyler? Yeah, he always does his workouts at this ungodly hour.”
When you heard that, that’s all your attention was focused on. You looked over and Skye and Willow who already knew what you were thinking, but they didn’t say anything except, “Well see you tomorrow girl”
Taz eyed you before a smirk came to his face and he shook his head with a low laugh. “Alright, I’m off to my room. Tell my son he needs to stop calling me down to the gym at anytime past midnight and call his tagteam partner from now on instead.”
You nodded, a smile willingly spreading across your lips before you headed towards the gym. You opened the door to find him sitting on the weight bench staring down at his phone, and right as you saw that, your phone buzzed in your pocket.
He looked up at you, brows knitted but with amusement in his eyes.
“That’s weird, I just texted you. Do you teleport now?” He asked, then cringed to himself. That was stupid, why did he say that?
You chuckle nonetheless as you stumbled in, thinking you weren’t noticeably drunk but it was way more obvious than you thought.
“Have fun?” He asked as he watched you head over to the bench across from his and sit down.
“I did” you grinned sheepishly. “It’s been such a good day, actually.”
He nodded back, eyes lingering to the laceration on your bottom lip that was already healing.
“I just ran into your dad” you tell him, swaying side to side.
“Did you?” He smirks, and you wished your vision wasn’t so blurry.
“Yeah, said to tell you stop calling him down here so late and call your tag team partner instead” you hiccuped.
He dropped his head. “Of course he did” he said as he shook it. You watched as he ran his hand through his hair and fluffed it out.
“Hey” you catch his attention.
“Hey” he says back.
“What’s coming next?” You asked the question that’s been running through your mind for a couple of days leading up to the match. “You know, we won tonight. The rivalry doesn’t really have anywhere else to go. So what does that mean for us? Are we done being partners now that we’ve beat them? I mean I know you still have the FTW title to win back, and I can be there ringside for it… if you wanted”
His eyes dropped to your fingers fidgeting over your lap.
“I don’t really know. What do you want to happen?” He asked, knowing already that he has thought about this same exact thing and the idea of the two of you no longer being a duo didn’t sit right with him, but he hadn’t mentioned anything to Tony and Tony hasn’t said anything else either.
“I want things to stay like they are” you admitted with another hiccup. “We have fun, don’t we?”
He had to keep in mind that you were drunk and now probably wasn’t the best time to take anything you said to heart, but it was hard for him not to.
“Yeah, we do.” He nods.
“So let’s call Tony and tell him we’re going to keep doing this heel run together” you pulled out your phone and read the text that was floating on your screen from Tyler earlier.
“can you come to the gym, i want to talk to you about something”
“Wait, what did want to talk about?” You asked. He shifted around and straightened his posture as he rubbed his palms over his sweats.
Before he texted you that, he was having a talk with his dad about you. It wasn’t often that Tyler came to him for advice on women but he didn’t really know who else he could trust.
He admitted that even though he tried to fight against it, he’d fallen pretty hard for you and it was starting to eat away at him. He didn’t have the impression that you would feel the same way, even though Taz completely disagreed with him on that.
He told his son that he would bet a million bucks that the feeling was mutual, claiming that a connection like the two of you have is undeniable and if he’s ever listened to anything taz told him, it needed to be that.
“You two remind me of myself and your mother when we were young” he recalls his dad saying. “We were too stubborn to admit we had feelings until we got drunk one night and it all spilled out”
“Tyler?” Your voice broke him out of his own thoughts. “What did you want to talk to me about?”
He never had to have a conversation like this before. He never really wanted anyone for more than just a fun night before. His adams apple bobbed as he swallowed thickly and tried to keep his nerves under control.
“I- uh-“ he rubbed the back of his neck as he inhaled deeply. Letting it all out in a quick huff.
“I been thinking a lot about me and you, and I don’t want to stop what we’ve been doing, but I do want to start doing more” he danced around the confession and you couldn’t quite piece it together.
“Like… how?” You asked, a little lost.
“I want to be with you.” He blurted, feeling his cheeks burn the minute the words flew from his mouth. His eyes scanned your face, studying it, searching for a reaction but you were blank faced and for once he couldn’t read you.
“You want to be with me? Like, be with me?” You were sure you weren’t hearing him right. Maybe everyone else thought you and Tyler were a thing but you never thought it was actually going to be an option.
“Yes, I do” he boldly stated, holding his eyes on you, watching as all the conversations you, Willow and Skye had over the last couple of weeks flashed through your mind and you couldn’t believe they were right the entire time.
“But if you don’t feel the same way, it’s okay, I’ll still do the heel run with you and we can forget I ever said anything.” He lowly muttered, waiting for what felt like an eternity for you to say anything back.
“Or if you’re already into someone else, like Ricky or something-“
“I’m not” you blurted out. “I’m not into anyone else.”
You couldn’t ignore the way your heart was beginning to race and your skin felt like it was engulfed in a million small fires. You stared back at him, your eyes lingering to his lips when his tongue slid over them.
A bunch of feelings you’d suppressed out of sheer denial suddenly came rushing in and it was now impossible to force them back again. All the tensions between the two of you, the anger and the confusion over the last few weeks was quickly diminished by an even stronger feeling of pure anticipation and desire.
The space between the two of you was too much and it was if Tyler had that same thought when he stood up from the weight bench and extended his hand. You took it, and he helped you to your feet.
You were unsure what to do with your hands when he let go but it became easy to find a place for them to rest on his waist when his finger curled beneath your chin, angling your head up, lips would’ve been brushing against each other if you were just a little taller.
His eyes were soft and a sprinkle of hazel appeared against the dark brown, and you realized you never noticed that before now.
He took in every inch of your face with a slow and meaningful gaze before an easy smile spread across his lips and a dimple soon followed.
You felt butterflies erupt in your stomach and spread through your whole body when he leaned in. You rose to you tip toes and your lips met gently, slowly, and tenderly. The way they fit like two pieces of a puzzle, moving in sync and pure harmony had your head spinning.
The taste of mint lingered on your tongue long after his lips were no longer on yours and you didn’t want it to vanish anytime soon.
He looked at you with eyes of adoration, his fingers slipping from your chin and pulling you into his chest. You buried your face into the fabric of his t-shirt, taking in the scent of cologne that you recognized from his hoodie you never gave back to him, and that’s when you remembered it.
“I still have your hoodie.” You chuckled, feeling his chest rise and fall with a low chuckle of his own.
“Keep it. It’s yours. It’s been yours since I gave it to you.”
———-
From that night in the hotel room gym on, you and Tyler were always together at the arena and outside of it. Your heel run was going strong. You were an undefeated tagteam that nobody wanted to step in the ring with.
After two weeks of keeping your love life on the low, he decided he wanted everyone to know. You were walking back from another successful match, standing on the stage when he grabbed your hand and spun you to him, placing a kiss to your lips that made the whole arena erupt in screams and chants of your conjoined names the fans came up with.
“Bet nobody saw that coming” Tony sarcastically remarked from commentary. “AEW’s modern day Bonnie and Clyde”
“Looks like you need to set an extra plate at the table when the holidays roll around, Taz.”
“I’ll gladly do that my friend.” Taz grinned as he watched you and hook exit through the tunnel.
“We’ve never seen the coldhearted handsome devil show any sort of emotion whatsoever… except with her!” Excalibur exclaims.
“Guess he’s not so coldhearted after all” Tony chips in.
“Oh no, he’s coldhearted son, but not towards her. Everyone else including myself gets the cold shoulder from my man, but she’s something special to him.”
Tyler walked you to the locker room and leaned against the wall. A soft smile stays on his face whenever the cameras aren’t around now.
“You looked gorgeous slamming Britt’s head into the canvas.” He taunts, earning a laugh from you.
“Thanks, I didn’t really try” you bantered back.
“Never have to.” He grins as he leans in and brushes his lips against yours before they fully connect.
“Everyone knows now” he says when you pull apart.
“They probably already did. We’ve been caught making out a lot” you remind him, earning that dimple you love so much to appear.
“True. I’m glad we don’t have to hide it anymore. I can officially call you mine.” He grins.
You place another gentle kiss to his lips before you whisper against them, “I’ve been yours this whole time”

Her mind constantly pulled her back to that night every time she looked at his face. The crushing feeling of disappointment was always present, no matter how much he smirked or tried to tease her, it was constantly there. Like an invisible mountain placed on top of her chest, constricting her lungs and preventing her from breathing properly, deception and betrayal made itself present within her whenever she came face to face with him.
His hands were tucked inside the pouch pocket of his gray hooded sweatshirt, undoubtedly hiding the fresh bruises on his knuckles. The New York harsh winter wind hit her face the minute she stepped out on the street, it blew her hair on her cheeks as she pulled the cream-colored woolen cap further down her ears.
Her attentive eyes did not miss the way the corner of his mouth lifted in a satisfied smirk when his eyes landed on her face. He seemed so relaxed, almost at home, leaning back against the streetlight that faced the front door of the building she worked in. So much so that he seemed out of place there, his relaxed posture was a loud contrast to the hurriedness of New York, he was like a curved edge puzzle piece amid straight-cornered ones. He didn’t fit in the most beautiful way, *yet it was that very same beauty that fucked me up*, she thought to herself as she reached the last step of the concrete stairs and was now facing him.
“What are you doing here, Tyler?” Her voice held that impatient tone he was already so used to, and the familiarity made his smirk turn into a full grin.
“Was just passing by” He shrugged casually
“Just passing by? And coincidentally enough you stopped in front of the building I work in. Sure, just a casual encounter” She huffed a bitter laugh as Tyler pushed himself off the streetlight to get closer to her “Don’t believe me?” He asks, containing himself to not touch her the way he dreamed of for the past two months, although he was trying, Tyler knew it was all a matter of time before he gave in to his body’s needs.
The loud noises of engines, honking and cursing filled up her ears, blocking anything Tyler said afterward. *Gosh, I hate rush hour!* Her thoughts were interrupted by Tyler’s hand on her cheek “You’re too cold” His purple knuckles brushed against her skin “You have lived in New York for the past three years and still don’t know how to properly dress yourself for winter?”.
She could hear the teasing tone beneath his words, and she couldn’t help but let a faint “Fuck off” fall out of her lips as he only chuckled in return, “C’mon, tiger. Let me buy you a hot chocolate to warm you up, I don’t want you to get sick”.
Her heart tightened with his offer. *And of course he remembers that I hate coffee! God, can he stop being so sweet so this is not so difficult every single time?!* She quickly stopped her thoughts before they could delve into a realm she does not wish to go back to.
“I won’t!” She sighed before stepping away from him. Distance, that’s exactly what she needs from him, otherwise she’ll make the huge mistake of forgiving him and her brain does not allow that, at least not now.
“A hot chocolate won’t solve shit, Tyler! It won’t change a damn thing”
“Tiger” He began, and the sound of her pet name coming from his lips had her gulping hard.
“Don’t” She shook her head and began to walk away from him. Tyler ran after her, closing his fingers around her wrist softly.
“Tiggy, please” Tyler’s gritty voice pleaded against her ear “It’ll be quick, I promise. We don’t even have to talk if you don’t want to”. He turned her around so she was now facing him again, “Please? You’ll freeze to death before you get to the subway”.
Tyler’s eyes held that raw honesty she loved, but sadly enough, it didn’t prevent him from keeping the truth away from her before she found out on her own about the street fights. The one thing Tyler knew she would never accept was his fighting career, the violence, and danger was too much for her to take and inevitably enough that was the reason why she left. She couldn’t live with both the disappointment the lie had brought to their lives and the fear of what this meant to them, to him. Fear of what could happen to him during one of those horrid, bloody fights. The mere thought of something bad happening to him because of it and her having no power whatsoever to stop it was enough to make her pack her bags and leave.
But she knew this is where they would end up, this back-and-forth bullshit that caused nothing but pain to the both of them. Tyler’s persistence is what made it all so difficult, his focus and determination made it impossible to ignore him, and she did not doubt that those very same personality traits were responsible for his fame in the underground world of street fighting.
“Why do you keep doing this, Ty? I told you to stay away-”
“But deep down you don’t want that, do you? I know you like no one else, tiger. I know you’re still as crazy about me, as I am about you.” Tyler’s hands cupped her cheeks again, only this time he brushed his lips against hers “I love you, tiggy. So fucking much. I’d do anything for you…I’d give everything to have you back”.
“This is wrong” She muttered more to herself than to him, but that didn’t stop Tyler from answering:
“No, it’s not. You want this and I want this too, so why shouldn’t we be together?” His fingertips caressed the sides of her neck, drawing a pattern of small circles on her skin. “Don’t you miss me? Not even a little bit? Because I sure as hell miss you, tiggy”.
She felt her breath hitching in her throat with the feeling of Tyler’s tongue tentatively tracing her bottom lip, tasting her skin with a satisfied groan. Her hands naturally roamed up his arms, until they stopped at the nape of his neck, fingers fumbling with the shorter dirty blonde strands she could reach.
“Come home with me” Tyler’s whispering voice caressed her wet lips, the pleading tone in his voice made her heart clench in her chest.
“Ty…it’s not that simple”
“Yes, it is!” He started with a clenched jaw, brown eyes staring deeply at her as if to make sure she saw the truth in his eyes “I love you, tiger. And I regret every single day for hiding the street fights from you-”
She pulled back abruptly, needing to settle some space between them before she gave in to him “You lied, Ty! You did the one thing you promised me you wouldn’t do”
“Yeah, I omitted it, but I didn’t have another choice! Be honest to yourself for once, tiger. Would you have reacted any differently if I had told you the truth from the beginning? No! You would’ve left either way, so can you blame me for omitting shit when I knew that if I told you the truth you would’ve left me?”
Tyler tugged on her winter coat, I’m pulling her closer to his body to both shield her from the harsh wind and have her pressed against him. He had a point and she knew it, she would never have dealt with the subject well, not even if he had told her the truth from the start. It would still lead them here, to the front of this building, arguing over their feelings and actions.
“I was madly in love with you, and you know that I still am” Tyler’s warm hands cupped her full cheeks, she was always impressed by his warmth, how could anyone be so warm even after standing outside in New York’s winter for several minutes?
“I don’t want to lose you, tiggy” His lips brushed against her lips, lightly pecking the corner of her mouth he continued to murmur “Please, just come home with me. Let’s talk this through, I know we can find a middle ground to this”.
Tyler never pleaded with anyone, but this was desperation in its final stages. It was brutal on his soul to come home every night to an empty apartment, and even though it has been 10 months since she left, the pillows still smelled like her, he could still hear her laughs and moans throughout the small apartment, could still see her drunk self singing ‘The Phantom Of The Opera’ while sitting on the kitchen floor because ‘it has a great acoustic there’, he still felt her body pressing against his every night when he lays down in bed.
She wanted this, badly. A part of her always regretted ever leaving in the first place, but she was prideful and too rational to let her emotions get the best of her. Tyler knew that, being equally stubborn and prideful he would never let his feelings get in the way of anything but this was different. This is that type of love that’s able to change you completely, the one where you can’t do anything but feel, and all the things you once promised yourself you’d never do, simply don’t matter anymore. Again, Tyler never begged anything from anyone, yet here he is.
“Are you coming?” Tyler asked, fingers lacing with hers, trying to grasp every chance he had to touch her. “Come back home with me, tiggy”.
*There it is* She thought *The only thing that will always make me forgive him*, the mix of vulnerability, love, and pleading would always give Tyler an immense advantage that she could never have. This would forever be the cause of her ruin, the crumbled pathway back to her heart.
“Fine” She bluntly answered. Tyler was having a hard time controlling his excited smile and upon seeing it she quickly added “Just for a talk, Tyler. The only reason why I’m agreeing to this is because we need to settle this like adults and because it’s fucking freezing out here!”
“Sure, sure” He smiled widely before lacing their fingers together as he took her back to his motorcycle. “Whatever you say, tiggy,” Tyler said once she was settled in the back seat of his bike, he stole a quick peck from her lips before buckling the helmet chin strap for her. She gasped in shock as Tyler started the bike with a loud laugh.
The apartment looked the same as 10 months ago, Tyler hadn’t changed a thing. Everything was in the same spot as she had let them. Even the fall-themed couch blanket she loved so much was placed the identical way she always let it sit on top of the black couch.
“It was waiting for you” Tyler whispered in her ear, “Just like me”. He turned her around to face him, his hands cupped her cold cheeks as he leaned down to kiss her lips.
Tyler’s lips were warm and welcoming, his tongue danced around hers in the most beautiful ‘welcome home’ kiss. “I missed you so fucking much, tiger” His arms closed around her, holding her in place in the tightest bear hug he could give her without breaking her ribs.
“I missed you too, bud” She smiled against his lips, laying a soft peck on his delicate lips as she continued “I’m still upset that you hid the fights from me though”, her lips silenced Tyler before he could protest, “But” She starts again “I understand why you did it. Just promise me two things, please”
“Anything” Tyler quickly nodded
“Firstly, you won’t hide things from me again and secondly, I know how much you love the fights and whatever comes with it. I could never ask you to drop it but please, Ty, at least try to start a professional career in fighting or, I don’t know, get into fights that are somewhat safe enough to not get you killed. I can’t stand the thought of something bad happening to you because some asshole decided to take it personally. At least in a more controlled environment, they’ll stop whoever it is that you’re facing if they take it too far”
Tyler couldn’t hold back his happy grin “Consider it done, tiggy”, he states proudly, burning his face on the crook of her neck and inhaling the scent he had missed the most in the last 10 painful months.
“Now, if I remember correctly, you promised me a hot chocolate, Mr.” She giggled when Tyler’s warm breath tickled the sensitive skin below her ear.
“Oh, tiger. I’ll give you your hot chocolate. But first” He gently pushed her back on the couch until she laid flat against the velvety cushions, “I’ll give you some warm milk” Tyler smirked once she realized his pun.
“Ewww, that sounds like something a perv trucker would say” She chuckled loudly when Tyler cupped himself through the baggy jeans “Are you thirsty for some milk, Miss?” He teased until she burst out laughing.
“I already regret forgiving you” She cackled as he covered her body with his.
“I’ll make you change your mind, tiggy” Tyler winked before unzipping her winter coat.

A helping Southern Hand
Summary: Kris Statlander isn't available? Don't worry AEW's Southern Belle is always available to help.
OC: Dixie Fae/ Scarlette Price
TW: Descriptions of wrestling, country drawl, possible cursing (I don't remember) hook x oc {if I'm missing anything lmk}
Tumblr media
I’m rushing, running my way to the curtain after Kris texted me that she got stuck in traffic, and needs a cover in the match. She definitely owes me a good dinner for working my night off. I catch my breath as I signal the sound guy to play my music to cut off Anna.
“Aw, did Orange and Hook not find a pretty enough partner?” Anna Jay teases while Angelo and Matt laughed.
“I guess it a handi-” Anna jay gets caught off by music
“I’m a Buckle Bunny
Drive my own truck, got my own money
Bangin' with the chaw, so I talk funny
Rhinestone hat says, "Kentucky"
I'm a buckle bunny.”
"AND THEIR TAG TEAM PARTNER, WEIGHING IN AT 126 LBS FROM FORT KNOX KENTUCKY, THE SOUTHERN BELLE DIXIE FAE!" Justin announces my name.
I come out around the corner with my hands holding my big buckle that is a floral background with a ribbon in pink text saying “COWGIRL UP”. I stopped at the top of the ramp, to tip my hat to the crowd while they were cheering. I sauntered my way down the ramp, slapping some fans' hands, to the ring. I started to climb the steel stairs, but Hook stuck out his hand to help me up the stairs gracefully, I grabbed his hand winking at him.
“Thank ya, Darlin’.” I greeted him and Orange with a small nod, Orange nodded back
“Well, Well, looky there Taz, your boy has some manners with our Southern Belle Beauty here.” Excalibur claims
“He knows how to treat the women roster.” Taz agrees.
I got behind the ropes, taking off my show buckle as Hook wanted to start the match with Matt. As they are circling around the ring Matt decides to scream in Hook's face.
“LOOK AT THIS IDIOT, HUH!? WHAT YOU GOT HUH?! WHAT YOU GOT? YOU WANT A SHOT? I DON'T THINK SO!” Matt has his arms raised taunting Hook, but he looks confused about where this little speech is coming from. Matt backs up to let Angelo tag himself in the match.  Angelo hops in to start circling around Hook, like a hunter scaring its prey.
“He’s got this, doesn't he?” I inquired about Orange, he just nodded with a little smile.
“Alrighty darlin’, let's get this match started then.” I commented a little cockily.
Then, Angelo steps back to his corner and reaches his arm back towards Matt to tag in. Anna just stands there clapping to the crowd as Angelo tries to mess with Hook, but he turns things around with a hip toss to get Angelo off of him. Hook looks up to see Matt in the corner waiting to charge at him. Matt rushes him but Hook turns it to a drop sayanagi. Matt ends up with his back turned to Hook, redrum is in place but it's too weak to hold Matt up. Matt scrambles to his corner to tag in Anna, Hook backs off of Matt as Anna enters the ring. Hook starts walking backwards as Anna starts walking towards me. I sat on the second rope with my hand held out to Hook with a smile, he slapped my hand and now it’s time for some Cowgirl Chaos.
“Oh here comes our Southern Belle, entering the ring with Anna Jay.” Tony describes.
“Look at the wicked smile on her face, she is ready for something.” Excalibur wearily says.
As I got into the ring, Anna and I started circling each other waiting for something to happen.
“So you’re the pretty belle in the back, who's gonna get her ass kicked by me.” Anna taunted with a sneer.
“Oh, really now hun?” I questioned her.
Anna then kicks me in the stomach with her left leg, I bent down to play as that kick hurt. She grabs my right arm to try to launch me to the corner, I countered it by slamming my feet to the ground in a squatting position. I shake my head with a smile and then toss her in the corner behind me away from her corner accompanied by a yell of “NO!”.
I show off my non-show buckle with my hip popped out to the side taunting Anna, I try to go for an elbow strike to her face but she moves out of the way. The funny bone part of my elbow ends up hitting the top turnbuckle, with that static fuzzy feeling going up and down my arm. Anna rushes at me hitting me with a spinning high heel kick to the chest over my breast. I winced and tried to leave that corner, from further damage happening. Anna grabs my right arm again looking for her Jay kick, but I grab her leg to reverse the move. I slightly panicked, reversed into a suplex, but without a struggle I held Anna for 6 seconds then let us drop hitting the mat in the middle of the ring. I got back up to my feet, looking out to the crowd waving my invisible lasso; I darted my eyes over to our corner seeing Hook and Orange clapping for me. The referee runs in front of me to the other corner, realizing that Angelo was getting in the ring, causing a distraction letting Jack Hager come out of nowhere and hit Orange in the face.
I rush over to see if Orange is okay, grabbing the top rope and observing Orange on the floor holding his head. I turned around to Anna superkicking me to the face, I rolled over to our side trying to gain back awareness. I see that Orange is still down and Hook is walking threateningly over to Jack, who is walking backwards around the ring and Anna ends up getting a tag to Angelo.
Matt jumps off the apron running towards Hook hitting him with a mean clothesline. I slump down off and out of the ring by steel steps. I watch in pain as Matt picks up Hook and throws him into the barricade. Hooks falls down to the ground only to get picked back up and thrown into the ring to Angelo. Angelo grabs his hair forcing Hook to get up, Angelo pulls Hook into a suplex. He tries to cover Hook, thankfully Hook kicks out at 2.
I finally collected myself and had my arms on the apron watching Hook getting beat by Angelo with some forearms to the head. Parker then hits another suplex on a dazed Hook, holding his back in pain moving away from danger. Parker follows Hook and grabs his hair again with his right hand, dragging him over to their corner, slapping his left hand with Matt. Matt jumps in and hits a back breaker to Hook, letting Angelo rebound off the ropes running drive by to Hooks head with a god awful sound.
Orange and I jump up on the apron watching this all go down wincing in sympathy for Hook. Matt goes for the cover, Orange preemptively getting in the ring, but Hook kicks out at 2 again. I cheer and whoop that Hook is still alive with us in this match. I see that Hook looked over to us, I reached my hand out to give him a little bit of encouragement to tag one of us in to save him from this onslaught. Matt slaps the back of Hooks head/ neck, he stumbles over to the ropes to gather himself. Matt then grabs Hook, but Hook is fired up now, he delivers a big knife chop to Matt's chest three times. Matt is tumbling backwards but he kicks Hook in the abdomen to throw him to the turnbuckles. Hook’s back smacks the middle turnbuckle so hard that he falls to the ground.
“Come on Hook darlin! Let's go!” I yelled over Matt's “Yeah!”
Hook hears me and starts crawling over to Orange and I with help of the bottom rope, yet Matt kicks him down. Hook keeps crawling, but Matt decides to hit Orange with an elbow.
“YOU ARE DEFINITELY GETTING THE PIG FARM NOW, HUN!” I threatened Matt
Matt continues his annoying onslaught to Hook, keeping him away from me. I turned half of my attention to Orange to get a good look at him.  I turned my full attention to Anna Jay, and the ring.
“You ain't nothin’ darlin’, bless your heart!” I yelled over the ring to her with my full southern drawl.
“STOP!” Anna banshees a response to me as Hook gets whiplashed into their corner.
“We are getting a whole new view of our Southern Belle tonight guys.” Tony Comments on my scream.
“I think we are just seeing her natural response to her new friends getting beat down.” Excalibur responds
Hook falls back down to the mat, as Menard slaps his left hand to Parker's right hand. Matt places his foot on Hook's neck and grabs his left wrist to keep him still , as Angelo gets in the ring. Angelo enters and kicks his left hip hard, I walk over to the left side of the ring trying to rally Hook to give him energy to get to our corner. I walk back to our corner and see that Orange is back, I give him a nod to greet him back. We watch as Hook holds on the bottom rope trying to gather some energy. Angelo then copies Orange’s kicks with his hands in his pockets.
Orange and I try to start rallying the crowd with slaps to the turnbuckle and claps, most definitely out of beat. I tune back into the match as Hook gets thrown into the ropes, rebounding into a dropkick. We wince and cover our face in slight shock. Parker goes for the cover, I stand on the bottom rope looking over the referees shoulder as Hook kicks out for a count of 2.
“GET DOWN!” I look up to Anna Jay giving me a look.
“Honey, I think you need to fix your face!” I clapped back and Anna made a noise of frustration.
I step down off the ropes seeing Hook is in some type of trouble, he ends up doing a back body drop on Angelo Parker. It sends Hook to the ground holding his back in pain. Parker grabs his ankle dragging his whole body to their corner and tagging Matt back in, again. Matt starts delivering kicks to Hooks head, Hook is covering his head trying not to get injured from their vicious attack. Matt again throws into a corner and falls to the ground in pain after trying to get away.
“COME ON DARLIN’! BRING IT ON HOME!” I try to scream encouragement to Hook.
I start slapping my right hand to the top turnbuckle, rallying energy from the crowd for Hook to make his escape. Matt has a different idea and keeps his nasty attack going on Hook with Jack Hagers watching proudly from the floor. Hook delivers a surprise left hook to Matt's jaw, giving him some breathing room. Hook starts hitting Matt with out-of-nowhere forearms. Matt found a brief pause in Hook's attack to strike back with his own forearm, sending Hook back to the corner.
Hook ends up finding energy as Matt and Angelo are tag-teaming him in the ring, he takes both of them down with a lariat after rebounding off the ropes. Hook uses his last bit of energy tagging Orange in the match, while falling to the mat away from the match. I crouch down with a hand on his back, checking up on his well being after that awful onslaught. I caress his back till he is out of the ring, either on the apron or on the floor.
“You gonna be okay, darlin’?” I check on his health
“Yeah, I'll be okay in a few” Hook groans in pain.
I am slightly shocked that he spoke to me, knowing he has a reputation of being silent, not caring, and eating chips. I smile down at him letting him recover in peace while Orange is in the match.
Orange takes control real easily of Angelo grabbing his arm then moving his hand to his neck and slamming his head to the top turnbuckle causing him to become slightly dazed. Matt tries to attack Orange as Angelo stumbles away but ends up with the same fate. Just like clockwork, they kept coming back for more and more like they were stuck in a loop. Orange climbs to the top rope ready to deliver a dropkick, but Angelo and Matt cowered away. Orange jumped down and the boys turned around to watch him put his hands up and stuff them in his pockets. Matt and Angelo rush him with a double clothesline but Orange dodges them with a ninja roll.
Orange turns around to meet them both with a dropkick, to the upper body. I stand back up in our corner just as a caution or escape route for Orange. I see that Hook is struggling to get back up, using the ropes for leverage, I came over and grabbed his free arm to walk him over to post to lean on.
“Thanks Belle.” I heard Hook whisper, I nodded back to him with a smile and an innocent wink.
As Orange gets back up to his feet, Angelo rolls out of the ring, Matt is struggling to get back up to his feet; Orange makes a decision to rebound off the ropes and run to hit Suicide dive on Jack Hager. Orange, rushed back into the ring meets with Matt, tries for a tornado ddt but gets blocked by Matt as Angelo rushes back in and attacks Orange's left shoulder. Angelo and Matt go for a double suplex but Hook rushes in and pushes Orange's feet back down to the mat. Hook attacks both Matt and Angelos shoulders, to weaken them for a double suplex of their own. Anna tried to be smart and block Hook’s and Orange’s suplex. I rushed in with a hand on both Orange and Hook to find Anna, I wrapped my arm around her and counted to 3, delivering a suplex to all three of them.
Hook and I hurried out of the ring with each other, I noticed that his hand was on his abc again. My mom-like instincts came over me and I wrapped my arm around his back, letting him lean on me until we got back to our corner. As I helped Hook back to our corner, I watched Orange take off his sleeve going for an Orange Punch. Angelo sidestepped and snaked his arm around Orange's abdomen letting Matt come over and take him down with a leg sweep. Angelo ran from the corner, stepped up on Matt's back delivering an elbow to Orange's back.
Orange rolls out of the ring, as Hook runs in and carries through a T-bone suplex to Angelo, catching him off guard. Hook turns and launches Matt through a T-bone suplex as well. He then sees Angelo holding on the top rope in our corner, he inflicts another t-bone suplex, but he throws Angelo onto Matt. They both roll out of the way, out of the ring, just as Anna gets in the ring yelling nonsense towards Hook.
This causes the referee to get distracted again, so Jack Hager hits Hook with a running clothesline over the top rope. Orange pops back up to hit Jack with his famous Orange punch, knocking him down to the ground with a nasty fall. I clap and holler “yee-haw” to my boys for taking control of the ring again.
“Now you know, think of your actions, hun.” I said menacingly to Jack.
Anna then jumps on Orange Cassidys back trying to lock in the queen slayer, but I come in behind Orange to get her legs behind my head and I hold onto her arms to keep her from hitting me. Matt tries to rush at orange but he side steps sending him to Hook, locking him in redrum. I planted Anna down with a new move called “Muck em”, Matt started fading in Hooks redrum. I pushed Anna and myself out of the ring as Angelo rushed in but was hit with the Orange Punch. Orange rushes to cover Parker and counts 3 as the bell rung.
“THE WINNERS OF THIS MATCH; FTW CHAMPION HOOK, FRESHLY SQUEEZED ORANGE CASSIDY, AND THE SOUTHERN BELLE DIXIE FAE!” Justin announced over the speaker system
Orange, Hook, and I all gathered ourselves in the middle of the ring, Hook getting his title. Orange reaches for my hand, I let him grab my hand, bring it to his mouth, kissing the back of my hand and pulling me into a hug.
“Thank you Southern Belle, for coming to our aid.” Orange thanked me as if I was a princess. I laughed and shrugged my shoulders stating that it was no problem. Hook walked over and grabbed my other hand doing the same gesture as Orange but kissing my hand twice. The crowd is going absolutely wild for both vacant emotion wrestlers thanking me in a very emotion based way. Hook pulls me in a hug that lasts way longer than Orange’s hug did.
“Thank you so much for covering Kris and coming to help us. Meet me in the back, in 30 minutes?” Hook asked as we were pulling apart looking into each other's eyes while I was smiling brightly at him.
“Of course Darlin’, just come by my locker room then.” i invited hook with a wink
Hook and I pull apart so we can raise our hands together with Orange Cassidy, to celebrate our win.
“Look at what a celebration from a very surprising team that came together very easily.” Tony stating the obvious.
“The boys are just showing our Southern Belle the proper amount of gratitude and respect for her to come out and help them.” Taz explains to the world
“Will we see more romance in the future from them? Is the question, look at how Hook looks at her.” Excalibur points out too
“We don't know, but we will see how this builds in front of us.” Taz commented back.

Getting Hooked
Chapter 2
Hook x reader
Tumblr media
Tyler’s POV
Tumblr media
Tyler’s POV
I stood in the warehouse, my dad addressing the Lads and me. "We've got trouble with the Don Callis family. They're making moves, trying to muscle in on our territory."
Dante spoke up, "What kind of moves, Taz?
"They're poaching our guys, offering them more money and protection. And they're not afraid to use violence to get what they want." My dad's voice was firm, his eyes blazing with determination.
I clenched my fists, anger simmering. The Don Callis family had always been a thorn in our side, but this was a declaration of war. I thought back to the times they'd tried to intimidate us, the times they'd failed. But this was different. This was a direct challenge.
"We need to take care of this, and fast," my dad continued. "I want you all to keep your eyes and ears open. If you hear anything, report back to me. We'll handle this together, as a family." The Lads nodded, and we dispersed, each of us knowing our role in this upcoming conflict.
Y/N’s POV

I stepped onto the stage, the music pulsating through my body. I lost myself in the rhythm, dancing and spinning to the cheers of the crowd. It was just another night at the club, but I loved the rush of adrenaline it gave me. I felt alive, free, and in control.
After my set, I made my way to the bar, greeting the regulars and new faces alike. Skye, my best friend and fellow dancer, joined me, and we chatted about our plans for the future. We talked about our dreams, our aspirations, and our fears. We supported each other, encouraged each other, and lifted each other up.
As the night wore on, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. The crowd seemed rowdier than usual, the music louder, and the air thicker with tension. I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the music and the moment.

Tyler’s POV
I slammed my fist on the table, frustration boiling over. Another lead had gone cold, another dead end in our investigation into the Don Callis family's plans. I couldn't shake the feeling that we were missing something, that there was a piece of the puzzle we couldn't quite see.
"Hey, Lads," I said, turning to Dante and the others. "I need a break from this. Who's up for a night out at the club?"
Anthony raised an eyebrow. "Taz's club? The one with the...dancers?"
I nodded. "That's the one. I need to get my mind off this case, and maybe we can have some fun while we're at it."
The Lads exchanged looks, then nodded in agreement. "Sure. Let's go blow off some steam."
We made our way to the club, the music and lights enveloping us as we walked in. I was about to head to the bar when I saw Action, my friend, get knocked into by a girl rushing to get out of the way of a group of rowdy patrons.
Action stumbled back, laughing, as the girl apologized profusely. I watched, amused, as they exchanged a few words, and then she smiled and walked away. Action turned to me, grinning.
"Tyler, my man, I think I just got knocked into by an angel," he said, chuckling.
I raised an eyebrow. "An angel, huh? Well, she's definitely a vision."
Y/N’s POV
Tumblr media
I was rushing to get out of the way of a group of rowdy patrons when I bumped into a guy, spilling his drink all over the floor.
"Oh, sorry about that!" I exclaimed, as he looked up at me with a charming smile.
"It's okay, I'm just glad it wasn't a worse spill," he said, helping me clean up the mess.
I felt a flutter in my chest as our eyes met, and then he was gone, walking away with his friends. I watched as he joined a group of guys, including a tall, dark-haired one who caught my eye. I couldn't help but stare as they laughed and joked together.
Skye, came up to me, giggling. "Hey, Y/N, looks like you've got a new boyfriend!"
I blushed. "What are you talking about, Skye?"
She nodded towards the group of guys. "The one you just bumped into! He's cute, I'll give you that."
I laughed. "Yeah, he is. But honestly, it was his friend who really caught my eye."
Skye followed my gaze to the tall, dark-haired guy. "Oh, you mean Tyler? Taz's son? I can't believe you don't know who he is!"
I shrugged. "I've never seen him around before."
Skye raised an eyebrow. "Well, let me tell you, he's definitely seen around. He's got a reputation for catching a lot of girls' attention. Including some of the girls here at work."
I felt a surge of surprise. "Really?"
Skye nodded. "Yeah, really. So, good luck with that. You're going to need it."
“Thanks.” I reply dryly.

Turned | Vampire!HOOK
Tumblr media
Summary: An argument causes you to run to an enemy.
Author's Note: Saw @theswitchbladessweetheart wanted Hook as a vampire. Hope yall enjoy.
@99hook @shawtys-things
This will be an one shot.
"You know you could just turn me into a vampire like you. What is the big deal anyways? I just die and come back to be with you forever and defend myself against this Jack guy," You demanded and raised your hands in frustration. The stake crashed to the floor and slid against the floor.
Tyler flinched at your sudden outburst. He knew you were frustrated. He hadn't allowed a break from all the self-defense training today. Now he found himself getting annoyed. You weren't turning. That wasn't going to happen. Not with her still waiting on the other side.
"And I told you I'm not doing that," he reminded her for the hundredth time. "Just drop it,"
"No, Tyler. I'm leaving unless you tell me why you won't turn me," you threatened. You looked out the window behind him. The weather was awful. Rain pelted the window while lightning flashed in the studio. No one should be walking in this storm.
"You wouldn't be the first woman I turned to a vampire," he confessed sadly. He leaned against the wall and ran his fingers through his hair.
The tension in the room thickened. A part of you wanted to hug him but another part wanted to crawl and hide. He never really talked about his past. The mention of another woman still felt like a blow to you.
"So you two broke up. What does that have to do with me?" You asked quickly. Your eyes never leaving him. "I told you I will do anything for you. We have made it this far,"
"We didn't break up," he answered. "I turned her because she wanted to be turned. She begged me night and day until one day I gave her what she wanted,"
"And then what happened? Did she die?"
"I thought everything was going well for Ashley at first. Some people struggle with turning into a vampire but it was like she was born to be one," he paused and gulped. You swore you saw tears pool in his dark brown eyes. He cleared his throat. "She left me a note one day that she couldn't handle it anymore. She took off the sun ring I made her. The last thing I remember was seeing her ashes on the floor in front of our bedroom window," he whispered and removed the ring from his shirt pocket. A pocket that laid over his heart. Your could feel your heart break.
"You keep her ring over your heart," you pointed out. He looked at the ring in his hand and his pocket. You had to know more about this Ashley girl. "Why?"
"I... I still love her," he pushed out painfully.. He didn't want to hide anything from you. The past few months had been wonderful with you but he had to come clean. No matter how painful it was.
"Do you have love for her or are you still in love with her?" You insisted.
"I promised myself to her in this life and the next. Vampires believe in an afterlife when we die. Forever isn't truly forever and I know she is waiting for me on the other side,"
"So you wanted to play with me in the mean time until you get your true love back? That explains why you won't turn me," you laughed bitterly. Memories of the past few months swirled in your mind. You took a shaky breath trying to keep the tears at bay.
"I'm so sorry. I- wait!" He demanded and reached out for you.
You ran out of the room before he could finish. Everything for the past few months was a lie. You were a plaything for the real world while he waited for this Ashley girl in the next life.
You ran outside gasping for air. The rain soaked you in seconds. He knew this entire time. He led you along this wonderful fantasy adventure for nothing. That's all these past months were, a cruel fantasy. Tomorrow you will wake up to the cruel reality of Tyler no longer being in your life.
"Hey, are you okay?" A voice asked. You looked to see a man holding an umbrella over you. Embarrassment washed over you as the man could tell you were crying. He seemed nice though. His curly brown hair was pushed in a bun. Aviator glasses laid on his head while a leather jacket, white shirt, and jeans covered his skin from the rain.
"Yeah, I am fine. Just a fight with my boy... just a fight with my friend. I will be home soon,"
"Men, am I right?" A woman giggled and pulled up to you. She stared into your eyes. "Why don't you forget coming home and come with us. We will take good care of you,"
The thought of going home vacated your mind immediately. They seemed nice enough. Maybe wherever they took you would have some dry clothes and fun times. You nodded happily and waited for them to move.
"See, Jack. I told you we didn't need violence. Although Tyler certainly downgraded from me," the woman laughed wickedly.

●Hook x Tattoo Artist Reader●
Summary: Hook discovers your tattoo art on Instagram.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
_________________________________________
*Tyler's POV*
Sitting in the locker room with Orange, Kris, Willow, Trent and Chuck, I am scrolling through Instagram when I come across this tattoo artist page that catches my eye. I click on the page and start scrolling through the pictures. Trent comes over and sits next to me looking at my phone.
"Woah dude. Who's art is that? That is amazing!"
"Oh its this chick named Y/N."
Willow and Kris gasp and run over to the couch next to me.
"Oh my gosh! Y/N is so talented!"
"Yeah she did my tattoos!"
"Mine too! You have to go to her!"
"And I think Tyler would really like her if you know what I mean."
Willow nudges my side and I roll my eyes. The girls have been trying to get me a girlfriend for a long time and it hasn't worked out. Kris pulls out her phone and starts typing on it.
"I have an idea!"
She starts calling someone on speakerphone. I look over at her confused.
"Hellooo lady!"
"Hi Y/N!"
My eyes go wide looking over at Kris. Willow laughs at me.
"Is my other bestie there too?"
"Hi Y/N!"
"Hi Willow!"
"Y/N, we were wondering if you possibly have an opening tonight or tomorrow for someone new?"
"Is it a man? Better not be like the last one you brought me."
"Yes it is a man. And no nothing like that last one."
They are start laughing and I shake my head no at Kris. Kris smiles at me than looks at her phone.
"So I actually had a cancellation tonight so why don't you bring this mystery man with you at 6?"
"It's a date! See you than!"
"Bye!"
She hangs up the phone than looks over at me.
"Looks like you got a tattoo appointment tonight. Better figure out what you are getting."
"Thanks Kris."
I roll my eyes and go back to looking through her drawings to see which one I am going to get now.
_________________________________________
*Y/N's POV*
I am currently sweeping up the floor in my tattoo shop when I hear the bells on the door jingle. I look up seeing Kris and Willow walk in with two men walking behind them.
"Kris! Willow!"
I set the broom down against the wall and walk over to them.
"Y/N! How are you?"
"I'm good! How are you two?"
"Good! Good!"
"Awesome!"
I look over at the two men that came in with them.
"Who are these two?"
"Hi I'm Trent!"
He hugs me wrapping his arms around my head and I hug him back wrapping my arms around his waist. He pulls away keeping his arm around my neck.
"You are short."
I roll my eyes and push his arm off me walking up to Tyler.
"Hi. I'm Y/N."
"I'm Tyler."
"Oh, you are the one I am tattooing. Did you figure out what you want?"
I walk back to my section in the shop and he follows behind me as everyone else sits in the waiting area. He pulls out his phone and shows me the eyes that I posted on Instagram.
"Oh... you... you want one of my drawings?"
"Your drawings are incredible. I looked through all your pictures on Instagram. There is a couple of them that I wanna get."
"Thank you. I will go print out the stencil for you. Be back."
I grab my phone and walk over to my machine printing out different sizes. Kris and Willow walk up to me with big grins on their faces. I shake my head looking at them.
"Soooo whatcha think?"
Kris whispers to me and I look down blushing a little.
"He is cute."
I mumble still looking down at the floor and they laugh a little at me.
"And he said he went through all my drawings on Instagram and wants to get more later on."
"Oh he likes you already than."
Willow nudges my arm and I smile looking at her. I grab the stencils and look at them.
"Time for me to tattoo ladies."
"Go get your man."
I laugh walking back over to Tyler. I put the stencils on my little table infront of him.
"What size would you like?"
He looks through the sizes and picks out the middle size one. I take it from him and look at him.
"Okay. Next question. Where do you want it?"
He takes his hoodie off and I gulp seeing him not wearing a shirt underneath.
"I want it about here."
He points to below his neck on his back. I prep the area he wants than put the stencil on. I pull off the paper revealing the stencil on his back. I take a picture of it than walk infront him showing him the picture.
"How's that?"
"Looks amazing. Let's do it."
I get all my supplies ready and start tattooing him as he sits there playing on his phone.
_________________________________________
Finishing up the tattoo, I start wiping it down and cleaning it up.
"Mind if I take a picture?"
"Go ahead."
I pull my phone out of my pocket and snap a picture. I walk infront of him and show him the picture.
"Wow! That's amazing! You did a great job! Thank you so much!"
"Of course!"
I giggle looking at him. He pulls money out of his pocket.
"How much do I owe you for it?"
"A date."
"What?"
"You owe me a date. With you."
He stares at me for a minute than smiles. I giggle at him and put my hand on his shoulder.
"It's a deal!"
He stands up, kisses my cheek than walks over to Trent and they leave. Kris and Willow come running over to me.
"What was that?"
"Details!"
"He asked me how much I owe him for the tattoo. And I said he owes me a date. With him."
"Ooooo yes girl!"
"I think you two will be really good for each other!"
God I hope so!

Summary: Hook becomes obsessed with his new neighbour.
Tyler - Hook
I knew someone moved in next door to me when I bypassed the moving truck and the movers, but I didn't stop to introduce myself as I was already running late to meet the guys for training.
I didn't stop and introduce myself when I saw the back of her head at the mall box in the front lobby as I was rushing out the door to catch the Uber that was taking me to the airport.
But I sure as hell heard her soft laugh and smelt her perfume that, for some strange reason, made me twitch in my sweat pants.
I forgot all about this new neighbour until I got home and finally saw her.
Tumblr media
I was in the elevator, and the doors were about to close when I heard someone shout for me to hold the elevator.
I saw a woman running towards me, her arms filled with grocery bags. I knew it was her the moment she walked in the elevator, smiling at me and saying thank you.
"No problem. Which floor."
"No need. Already going to the same floor." She said kindly to me.
I knew I should have offered to help with her groceries, but I was having a problem of my own. I was reacting to her like I would if I was still a teenage boy.
If I wasn't hunched over and pulling my long sweater down, she would definitely be seeing the tent in my pants.
We finally reached our floor and I watched to see which unit was hers. Just two doors down from me.
I took my time opening my door, pretending to be distracted by my phone, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw her look over at me before she walked into her apartment.
I made sure to bump into whenever I could. Through our little conversations, I learned her name, where she was from and where she worked.
Now I just need to know more about her, but there is only so much that I can ask in the elevator, but I had an idea.
I looked in my fridge and saw that I was low on juice. I knew she would be home, so I knocked on her door. I heard her call out, 'Just a minute.' Before the door swung open.
Her hair was in a messy bun, no makeup, and a long t-shirt I can only assume she wore to bed. I wonder if she has anything on underneath?
"Oh hey Tyler," fuck me, I love it when she says my name like that. "What's up?"
"Just wondering if you have any juice? I ran out, and I usually like some with breakfast. " Real smooth there dipshit.
"Yeah, let me see. Apple, okay?" I quickly nodded my head.
"Come in. Let me look in the pantry. I bought a bunch when they were on sale." She said as she turned around and walked down the hall.
I closed the door behind me and took in the sight of her apartment. Clean, pictures of family and friends all over. Some plants and on the table by the front door, I could see the spare key that they give to us when we move in.
"Here you go." I was pulled away from my thoughts on if I should take the key or not when she answered it for me.
"Do you mind being my apartment buddy? I know you travel a lot for work, and I can grab your mail and place it in your apartment." She handed me her spare key, and I closed my fist tightly around it, not wanting to lose it.
"Sure. I'll grab my spare and give it to you. Thank you."
The weeks went on, and I found myself using her spare key more than any sane person ever would need too.
First, I was just snooping around her apartment to get to know her a bit better. Then her garbage. Which quickly went to me looking through her drawers.
I found her dildo that she kept in her bedside table. I could only imagine what she looked like as she made herself cum on this.
Which was driving me insane. So I looked online and found the perfect camera, which I gave to her.
"Suprise. You told me that your charging station wasn't charging as fast, so I got you one."
"Thank you, Tyler. I've been meaning to go and buy another one, but just haven't had time."
"No need for thanks. I was out with my friends and saw this. Hope it works."
I waited patiently in my place, looking at my laptop.
And I waited. I was just about to close the laptop when it showed the inside of her room.
Where she had, next to her bed, I could see everything. I turned up the volume to see if the sound was working, and I punched the air when I heard her talking on the phone.
"I have no idea what to wear tonight, Dede."
"Just wear something that is easy to take off. You know you won't be keeping your clothes on." Was all I heard before I saw red.
She had a date?
Why didn't she tell me?
What the fuck does he look like?
Is she gonna fuck him?
I found out the answer to the last question as I watched her ride the lucky bastard in her bed. Her back arched, her eyes closed as her body shook as she came all over his cock.
I was breathing heavy as I closed the laptop, not wanting to watch her wrap her lips around his cock.
I looked down my body and saw the mess that I had made. I even felt a bit of my own jizz on chin. Time for a shower.
While I was in my shower, a great, wonderful idea popped into my head. Now, just to make it all come together.
This idea took a bit to pill together. I had to travel for a few weeks, and then I would have some time off.
While I was gone, I would watch the cameras I already had up in my place, and see her come into my place to drop off my mail or water my plants.
But I made sure to keep watching the camera in her room. The man from that night never came back, but other men came.
I watched as each and every man pounded her into her mattress, making her moan their names. Some made her cum. Some didn't.
But one buffoon helped push her towards me without either one knowing.
I could hear her asking him to leave, and he didn't want to. "Come on, baby. Just one more time, and then I will leave."
"I don't have time for this. Leave. I have work."
"I'll stay until you get back."
"If you are not gone in the next 5 minutes, I'll be calling the cops."
The asshole didn't like that and locked himself in her washroom. By the time the cops came, he had already smashed it and was in no way usable.
I felt my phone vibrate, and I knew it was her calling. "Tyler?" Her voice was shaken for obvious reason.
"Are you okay? You sound upset." I asked with fake concern. She told me what happened.
"Just stay in my place until your place is fixed."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course I am sure. Just pack your essentials. My home is your home."
"When you get back, I will cook you your favourite meal."
"And I can't wait."
I watched as she moved in. I told her to take make herself comfortable. What I meant by the was I hope she plays with herself on my bed.
But she never did.
She never brought anyone back to my place and she was home every night like clockwork, so she wasn't going to someone's home.
She must be getting off in the shower. The poor thing must be frustrated. Well, that is all going to change when I get home.
I was opening my front door, calling out her name. "You here? I got on an earlier flight." No noise. But that is due to being in the shower.
I played it off like she wasn't home as I went to my bedroom. I could hear the shower on in there.
I got undressed and grabbed a towel, and placed it over my shoulder. The scream she let out when she saw me standing there naked, almost brought a smirk to my face.
"Tyler?!"
I placed my towel around my waist but I saw her look down and her eyes were wide at the size of me.
"Shit. I got on an earlier flight. I thought you were out." I played it off as I turned away. I heard the shower turn off, and the shower door open.
"I am done anyways. Welcome home." She said to me as she walked past me. She gave me a kiss on the cheek as she closed the door behind her.
I saw that my shower head wasn't in its spot, but hanging down and the nozzle head setting has changed to pulsating. Well fuck me, so this is how she is getting off.
That night, she made a wonderful homecooked meal, and we talked about anything.
"Now that you are home, I can sleep on the couch."
"Nonsense," I said. "My bed is big enough for the both of us."
"Only if you are sure."
"I am more than sure."
The first night we slept, it was fine. She was wearing shorts and a T-shirt but I wanted to see more skin.
So, a few days later, I turned off my AC.
"Why is it so hot in here?" She was waving a hand in front of her face.
"AC is broken. Got someone coming in tomorrow." I said to her. I could see her looking me up and down. I was only in a pair of boxers, while she was in shorts and a t-shirt once more.
But I needed to see more skin. As the day went on, it was getting warmer and even I started to become irritable.
"I am gonna go take a cold shower." I told her, not able to take the heat anymore.
"Don't be surprised if I join you. That sounds wonderful." I knew she was joking, but I let her know that it was fine.
"Look, we are two grown adults. If you can't take the heat anymore. Join me in the shower." Was all I said as I headed down my washroom.
I was barely under the cool water, and she was already knocking on the door to come in. "Just so you know, I am naked." I called out.
The door swung open, and she was standing in her towel. "I don't care. I can't take the heat anymore. Move aside Tyler." And dropped her towel, and I did as she asked and stepped aside for her to get under the water.
The two of us were silent. I was looking her up and down, and she was trying not to look at me.
I couldn't help myself. I stepped closer and looked back as she felt how close I was. "Tyler," She softly said.
"Shh, it is okay." I placed my hands on her shoulders and started to massage her. She tensed up but then relaxed.
"Mmm, you have strong hands."
"They feel good?" A groan was my answer, which went straight to cock. I took another step forward, and she let out a soft gasp as she felt my hard cock poking her ass.
"Tyler, what are you doing?" She went to turn around to face me, but I held her in place. "Just trying to help you relax. I know you are frustrated with your washroom and now the AC."
I didn't let her know that I knew that her washroom was fixed and has been for a few days now.
"Besides, you will be going back to your place soon and I have to leave for England." I dropped my arms to my side and she turned around.
"I leave in two days' time, and by the time I am gone, you will be back in your place." I pulled her flush against my body. She placed her hands on my chest, but she didn't push me away. The cool water was cascading down our bodies.
I placed my head next to hers and nipped her ear before saying, "And you will go straight back to bringing random men home when I have been here along."
She gasped and pulled away, asking how I knew. "I am up early. You know I run every morning. I see them leaving your place."
"Oh." Then she got angry. "Is that why you are being so nice to me? So I will sleep with you?"
Yes. "No, of course not. I just know how frustrated you have been, and I am offering my body to you."
She scoffed and went to leave the shower, so I had to pull out the big guns. "I know your place has been fixed for a few days, yet you stay with me." That had her stopping in her tracks.
"How did you know?" She asked me as turned to look at me.
"The super told me. She said she had already told you."
"I just didn't want to be alone."
Silence.
"Look, I know you have been frustrated, and I have been too. Now, why don't we help each other out, and we can go back to being friends." I layed the offer on the table.
I waited for her to speak, but she didn't say a word as she got on her knees and gripped my cock at the base and started to jerk me off as she took me slowly into her mouth.
I placed my hands on the back of her head and took over. She gagged when the tip hit the back of her throat, but she worked through it until she had me completely down her throat.
"Oh fuck. Look at me gorgeous." My heated gaze connected with her teary eyes. "I am gonna fuck this throat, then your pussy and you are not gonna touch yourself. When you come, I want you to come all over my cock."
I gripped the side of her head and started to rock back and forth, barely pulling out of her sweet mouth.
The gagging and chocking noises had me right on the edge, and I had to pull out a few times to stop myself from finishing before I even get to fuck her.
She was gasping between each little break I gave her, but she took each thrust like a champ.
"Eyes on me." I growled out each and every time she went to close her eyes. I fucked her throat a bit harder than I intended and I knew it would be sore after, but that just made it so much hotter.
It was time to fuck her. I pulled out of her mouth and she gripped her throat as she gasped for air once more.
I helped her up and placed one of her legs around my waist as she gripped my shoulders.
I reached down between our bodies and gripped my cock and rubbed it against her pussy. Her eyes threatened the flutter close and they finally did when I slid inside of her.
My own eyes closed as I felt how warm and tight she was. "Fuck, your so fucking tight." My mouth was hanging open, trying to calm myself down before I make a fool of myself and finish before I really got a chance to fuck her.
"Tyler." She squealed when I started moving. I would pull out just enough to leave the tip in and then slam into her. She was biting her lip so hard that it was bleeding.
My pace quickened, and I couldn't hold back anymore, but this was becoming dangerous, but I had one thing I wanted to do before I switched positions.
I wrapped my hand around her throat. "Open." She shook her head no, so I squeezed a bit tighter. "I said open."
She opened her mouth, and I spit and then slammed my mouth against hers in a sloppy, messy kiss.
I pulled out of her, and to my delight, she whimpered. I sat down on the shower floor and patted my lap.
I gripped my cock once more as I helped her to sit on me. I bit my own lip when she sat down and took me even deeper.
"You feel like you are in my stomach." She groaned as she started to bounce on my lap.
"Fuck that is hot. Come on, gorgeous, ride me faster." I slapped her ass and she squealed, but she started to move faster.
I was close, and I knew she was to with her pussy was squeezing me, so I wrapped my arm around her waist, pulled her down against my chest and started to to thrust up into her.
My other hand went to her ass and slapped it a few times. I removed my arm from her waist, but she didn't move, and put my other hand on her other ass cheek and spread them.
"Gonna fuck your ass next." I said to her as I pushed two fingers inside her tight hole.
"Tyler!" Her back arched, just like I have seen it do so many times, and her pussy started to spasm around my cock.
She got so tight that I could hardly move. With a groan of her name, I came deep inside of her. Her body shook from the aftermath of what we just did.
"Next time?" She finally asked.
"Oh yeah. Maybe come in your mouth first, then your ass. Maybe take some photos for when I travel." She slapped my chest at that suggestion.
But as I was sitting on the plane to England, I couldn't help but think about all those photos and videos I took of us.
Her looking up at me, mouth wide open and filled with my cum, then her swallowing and showing me that it was gone.
Me sliding into her ass for the first time. The cum leaking out of her ass.
Maybe one day I will tell her that I placed cameras all over her apartment or a tracker on her car, but maybe not.

"Are you excited for tonight?" Y/N asks her brother with a grin.
Jack smiles back at his little sister and nods. "You know I am! And I'm excited you get to be here"
Jack always enjoyed it when his sister was able to come to watch him wrestle, and with her in college, it had made it even less often. But she had just graduated.
Jack offered for her to travel with him, and she immediately accepted. She had loved wrestling ever since she was a kid, just like Jack. But she never wanted to be a wrestler, she wanted to be an interviewer. So being around the business she hoped to work in made her so excited.
"I gotta go talk to TK real quick. Would you be okay to wait for me here? If not, you can come with if you'd like" Jack offers.
Y/N smiles up at him. "I'm okay to wait here"
Jack nods and walks off.
Y/N leans against the wall next to Jack's dressing room and sighs. She could go in, but that'd be boring. Here she could look around and take everything in.
"Hey, is Jack here?"
Y/N jumps at a sudden voice behind her. She turns and is met with the very handsome man that she knows as Hook. "No, he's not. He should be back soon though. He's just talking to TK"
Hook nods and leans against the wall next to her.
They stand in silence for a few minutes, with Y/N nervously rocking back and forth on her heels.
"You're Y/N, right? His sister?" Hook asks.
She looks over at him again and nods. "Yeah, that's me"
Hook nods. "He talks about you a lot"
This makes Y/N smile. "That's sweet. Good things I hope"
Hook smirks, choosing to tease her. "Mostly"
She raises an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
Hook lets out a chuckle. "I'm just messing with you"
"Hmm" Y/N hums. "I don't believe you"
"Anyways" Hook decides to change the subject. "You're in college, right?"
Y/N shakes her head. "Just graduated actually"
"Congrats" Hook replies, a rare smile on his handsome face. “What do you wanna do?"
"I wanna work here actually. As an interviewer or something like that" Y/N answers.
"You'd be good at that" Hook smiles. "And I wouldn't mind seeing your pretty face around here more"
Y/N's face turns pink, making Hook's smile grow.
But before either of them can say anything else Jack walks back over.
Hook was only half listening to what Jack was saying, as most of his attention was being directed towards his sister.
Hook knew it wasn't right, but hey, he just thought she was pretty. Well, not pretty. More like gorgeous-
He blinks rapidly as he tries to zone back into the conversation and turn off his wandering thoughts.
It had been a month since Y/N started traveling with Jack, and it was the best month of her life. She had so many new friends, and she got to spend so much more time with her brother.
And Hook was there.
Hook always made sure to at least say hello every night, but more often than not they ended up talking for as long as they could before one of them was pulled away to do something.
A couple of nights Hook had offered to drive her home when Jack needed to head back to the hotel early, and one of those nights they ended up falling asleep in the car park after just sitting and talking for hours.
Jack wasn't very happy the next morning, so Hook and Y/N made up a lie about the car breaking down and them not wanting to wake him up.
It wasn't like they were doing anything wrong; they were just talking.
Until they weren't.
“Hey Ty!" Y/N smiles, eager to congratulate him for the match he just won. But she frowns when he brushes past her and stomps down the halls.
"Tyler?" She asks softly, quickly rushing to follow him.
"Just leave me alone right now Y/N" Hook huffs, walking faster as he hears her heels catching up with him.
"No! I'm not gonna leave you alone while you're upset Tyler" she insists, struggling to keep up with him.
She cusses herself out in her head for choosing tonight to try and break in these new heels.
She lets out a little yelp when she loses her footing and twists her ankle.
Hook immediately stops and turns around, seeing her leaned against the wall with one foot lifted.
He sighs, before walking over to her. "You gotta be more careful Y/N"
She smiles as Hook picks her up bridal style. "Well, if I had known I'd need to chase you down the hallways tonight I wouldn't have worn these shoes. Next time give me a heads up"
Hook can't help but chuckle as he sits her down on an empty crate in an empty room.
"Why are we in a creepy room?" Y/N asks as Hook looks at her ankle.
"Because me and your brother both have people who don't like us running around here" Hook answers.
He lightly turns her ankle, which makes her wince. "Sorry"
"It's okay" she answers, and reaches to start playing with his hair.
Hook smiles and leans into her touch, before standing back up to be at eye level with her.
He places his hands on the crate on either side of her legs. "I think you just twisted it. I could wrap it for you if you want, just in case. And maybe try not wearing heels"
"Sure" she answers simply, her pulse-raising at the position she and Hook are in.
Hook seems to finally realize it too, and he feels his heart rate rise as well.
He goes to pull back, but Y/N places her hands on his so he can't.
"Y/N, this isn't a good idea" he says softly.
Y/N frowns, but nods and lets him go. "You're right. I'm sorry"
But her eyes widen when his hands move to hold her waist.
"I said it wasn't a good idea. That doesn't mean I don't like the idea" he smirks, and Y/N smiles back.
"I just want to be sure you want this. Want me" Hook clarifies.
Y/N's smile just grows, and she wraps her arms around his neck to pull him closer to her. "Of course I want you, Tyler. More than anything"
And with that, their lips meet in a sweet kiss.
They pull away after a few seconds, and Hook moves his hands down to grip her hips as Y/N runs her fingers up and down his arms.
She wraps her legs around his waist and pulls him closer to her.
She kisses him again, and when she pulls away she bites softly on his bottom lip, pulling on it before letting go.
Hook smirks at her and lets his kisses trail down her neck.
"Wanna tell me what made you so mad?" Y/N asks.
"I don't really wanna think about anything but this gorgeous girl in front of me" Hook answers.
Y/N smirks, and uses her finger to lift his chin so he's looking at her. "Well this gorgeous girl is gonna have to implement a no-touching policy until you tell her"
Hook's eyes widen, and a pout forms on his lips.
Y/N simply leans up and pecks his pouty lip. "Starting in 10, 9,"
"Fine" Hook relents. "It's just, earlier tonight the guy I fought and his friend were talking about you and I overheard. They were saying all these things about you, and about how they were gonna see who could get into your pants first and stuff like that"
"Hmm" Y/N hums. "I guess you win that bet then"
Hook laughs. "I'm trying to be serious Y/N. It pissed me off"
Y/N smiles and begins trailing kisses down his neck. "Well, thank you for telling me. Now, how about a reward?"
Y/N had begun to help out backstage, and in that time had impressed Tony Khan.
He liked and respected her work ethic; she wasn't even employed, she was just a guest, but she was running around with the backstage crew helping at any chance she got.
So Tony ran the idea for her to start appearing on TV by them after Jack told him what she hoped to do. He said it'd be kind of like a trial run, and Y/N couldn't be more excited to do so.
And she couldn't have been more thankful it happened when it did; because as they walked out of Tony's office they saw LFI coming out during Hook's segment on a monitor.
"Y/N!" Jack exclaims as she takes off towards the guerrilla.
But she doesn't listen, and she runs out as the sound crew scrambles to play Jack's music.
"Oh! That's Jack Perry's sister!" Taz exclaims as Y/N takes off down the ramp.
She jumps into the ring as Preston and Dralístico jump out to confront Jack, who ran out behind her with a chair in his hands.
"Ty?" She says softly, kneeling next to him.
He pulls himself up to his feet, as Y/N tries to help him.
"I'm fine baby" he says, before placing his hands on her shoulders and looking directly into her eyes. "You should have never come out here. It's dangerous. They could have attacked you"
"I don't care about that! I care about you!" She exclaims over the crowd's cheers, and Hook would never admit it, but he felt a warmth in his chest at that.
But they're pulled out of their moment when José rolls into the ring to get away from Jack.
Hook gently pushes Y/N into the corner before staring José down.
José goes to punch Hook, but Hook grabs him and hits him with a T-Bone.
Y/N cheers as Jack slides into the ring and rushes over to her. "Y/N! You can't do that! You gotta be careful, okay?"
"I'm sorry I scared you" Y/N says. "But Hook's my friend! And yours!"
"I know that. I was planning on coming out here as soon as we saw it on the monitor. But you're not a wrestler" Jack retorts.
"Hey, it all worked out" Hook says, trying to stop them from arguing.
Jack takes a deep breath before he nods and the two men fist bump, making the crowd pop.
Hook glances over at Y/N and flashes her a smirk, and she sends him back a wink.
Y/N coming out to defend him had gotten Hook a little more than worked up, and he just hoped it wasn't too obvious to the people watching.
The next week on Dynamite Hook and Jack were fighting Vance and Dralístico in a Texas tornado match.
They were all currently in Hook’s dressing room finishing up a strategy talk.
"Listen Y/N, if you're gonna come out with us you cannot interfere" Jack says sternly.
"I understand" Y/N says softly, but Hook, who was sitting on the couch behind them can't help but smirk at Y/N's crossed fingers that she was hiding behind her back.
Jack nods. "Okay, I'm gonna head to my dressing room and get ready. Meet me at the guerrilla?"
Hook nods, and Jack leaves.
Hook stands up, and Y/N smirks when he wraps his hand around her crossed fingers. His other arm snakes around her waist and he pulls her flush against his chest.
He leans down and breathes into her ear. "You wanna talk about this?"
"What about it?" Y/N asks with fake innocence.
"You don't need to get involved" Hook replies.
"I'm not promising anything" Y/N says stubbornly.
He turns her around to face him and leans his forehead against hers. "I need you to be safe mamas. I can't focus if I need to worry about protecting you"
Y/N lets out a sigh as his hands hold onto her hips, and she doesn't miss the way they nervously grip onto her. "I promise not to get involved unless one of you is about to get hurt very badly. How's that?"
Hook huffs. "I'm not happy about it. But I know it's probably the best I'm gonna get so I'll take it"
Y/N smiles and wraps her arms around his neck before pulling him down into a kiss.
Y/N had been standing at ringside the whole time, and she felt like her heart was going to explode from how fast it was racing.
Hook was covered in blood, but at the same time he still looked so damn good. She had to stop her mind from wandering to places it had no business going to at the current moment.
But as Vance wrapped a chain around Hook's neck, the only thing she could think about was how much pain Hook must be in.
She ran around the ring to grab a steel chair, and ignored her brother yelling at her as she rolled into the ring.
She ran over and slammed Vance as hard as she possibly could in the head with the chair before he could throw Hook off the apron and into a table.
This causes Vance to let Hook go as he tries to stop himself from falling, and Hook takes the opportunity to grab him and T-Bone him off the apron and through the table.
Y/N lets out a yell as she watches, and goes to jump down to him when she feels a hand grab her arm.
She whips around and is met with Dralístico screaming in her face.
But Jack runs up behind him and yanks him away from Y/N.
Jack DDTs Dralístico onto a chair and covers him, but José runs over and kicks Jack in the head to break up the pin.
Y/N kneels next to Jack, who's holding onto his head.
She looks up at José with a glare when he throws his shirt at her and Jack.
Jack pushes her behind him as he gets to his feet and glares at José with a chair tight in his hand.
But a smirk grows across Y/N's face when Hook climbs back in the ring and sneaks up behind José.
Hook locks José in the redrum as Dralístico rolls back in the ring and charges at Jack.
Jack trips him and jumps onto his back, locking him in the snare trap.
Dralístico reaches for the chair Jack dropped, but Y/N runs over and kicks it away from him. So with nowhere left to go, Dralístico frantically taps.
Y/N cheers, and when Jack stands back up she pulls him into a hug.
Hook walks over and pats Jack on the shoulder.
Y/N pulls away and scans both of them. "Are you guys okay?!"
"We're fine, don't worry" Jack answers, and Y/N swats at his arm when he ruffles her hair.
The referee comes over, and Y/N backs away as he holds Jack and Hook's hands up in celebration.
Hook peers over at Y/N, wanting nothing more than to grab her and kiss her.
Y/N just waves at him with a smirk, knowing exactly what he's thinking.
Y/N and Hook probably should have known it simply wasn't possible to keep their relationship a secret from Jack forever.
But they never thought it'd play out the way it did.
It was the night of the Forbidden Doors pay-per-view, and Jack was hyped for his fight.
Y/N had hopped in the shower quickly while Jack was getting ready.
But while she was in the shower her phone went off.
Jack picked it up and was on his way to let Y/N know she'd gotten a text when the name of the sender caught his attention. It was Hook.
But what really caught his attention was the phrase 'I love you' that was included.
Hey babygirl, I know you're busy getting ready right now. I just wanted to say I love you, and I can't wait to go out tonight after the show❤️
Jack's eyes couldn't have gotten anymore wide, but when he heard the shower turn off he simply put the phone back where it was and sat down on the couch.
Y/N walked out minutes later in her new black dress and freshly blow-dried hair. "What do you think?"
Jack smiles. "You look nice sis"
"Thanks" she grins, before sitting down at the desk table to do her makeup.
Jack has to hold in a scoff when her smile widens as she looks at her phone.
"Come on Jack!" Y/N tries to rally Jack from ringside.
She didn't know what was going on with Jack tonight, he seemed so distracted.
Hook stood next to her, wondering the same thing. He leaned down to speak in her ear, so she'd be able to hear him over the crowd. "What's going on with him?"
"I don't know" she answers, but when she looks back up Jack is looking at them instead of Sanada, who took this opportunity to attack him.
"NO!" Y/N screamed, but it was too late, and Jack was pinned.
Y/N sighs, and Hook helps her onto the apron before jumping up himself.
He puts his foot on the rope so it's easier for her to get in, and the two of them walk over to Jack.
Jack doesn't say anything as Y/N kneels down to pull him into a hug. "I'm sorry Jack. But it's okay! You'll kick his ass next time!"
Jack hugs her back. "Thanks sis..."
Y/N and Hook help him up, and they make their way back up the ramp.
But Y/N doesn't even realize what's happening before Jack has attacked Hook.
Y/N lets out a surprised yell when Hook hits the ground. "Tyler!"
But Jack lightly pushes her back, before leaning down to yell at Hook. "You think it's okay to sneak around with my sister?!"
Y/N's eyes widen. "J-Jack! It's not like that! Please! Don't do this! Just let me explain!"
"No Y/N! He's supposed to be my best friend but he's been sneaking around with you for who knows how long!" Jack yells.
"We're not just sneaking around! We're together! I love him! Come on Jack. Please, this isn't how to handle this. We hurt you by not telling you. I understand that, and I'm so sorry. But this is exactly why we didn't! We were afraid of how you'd react!"
Jack just huffs and goes stomping towards the tunnels.
"Jack!" Y/N exclaims, chasing after him.
"Are you coming with me or not?" Jack's tone is much calmer as he stares at Y/N expectingly.
"I- Jack, you hurt him! I can't just leave him! I love him! I- I love you both!" Y/N exclaims exasperatedly.
"Fine then" Jack snaps, turning to leave.
"No! Please Jack!" Jack yanks his arm out of her grip as she cries. "Jack!"
Y/N cries harder as she watches him stomp away.
Y/N is snapped out of her head when Taz runs by her to get to Hook.
Y/N whips around and sees Taz helping Hook up, who is trying to get to her.
She rushes over and takes Hook's outstretched hand. "I'm here Tyler. I'm here"
Hook pulls away from his dad and pulls Y/N into a tight hug.
Y/N hugs him around his torso as he holds her head against his chest.
"You need to get checked out by the medics Ty" Y/N says.
"I love you" Hook whispers into her ear.
Y/N smiles and nuzzles into him more. "I love you too"
"Let's move this love fest to the medic's office you two" Taz smiles.
Y/N pulls back from Hook and smiles up at him. "I couldn't agree more"
"I'm fine" Hook insists. "I just wanna head back to the hotel"
"He hit you in the throat and you fell back on your head" Taz argues.
Y/N pouts when she can tell Hook isn't budging. "Please honey? Then we can go back to the hotel together"
Hook stares into her eyes for a moment before reluctantly nodding with a sigh, and they all walk out together as the crowd cheers for them.
They head straight back to the trainer's room, and Taz and Y/N sit down in chairs as Hook gets checked out.
Y/N's knee can't stop bouncing, and she's biting her nails as her thoughts won't stop racing.
"Are you ok hon?" Taz asks after a few seconds of silence.
"Y-Yeah" Y/N brushes off his concern. "I'm fine"
Taz just raises an eyebrow at her, and she shrinks under his gaze. "I just... I feel like this is all my fault.."
"Get that thought outta your head. Jack did what he did because he wanted to" Taz comforts, putting his hand on her shoulder.
"I guess so" she mumbles.
Taz frowns at the downhearted look on her face and leans over to pull her into a side hug.
She leans against his side, doing her best to not start crying.
Then Hook walks over. “They said I’m fine. Wanna head back to the hotel baby?”
Y/N nods as she and Taz stand up.
Taz hugs Y/N, and pats Hook on the shoulder. “Everything’s gonna be okay you two. It’ll work out once Jack calms down”
That never happened.
Here they were a week later and Y/N nor Hook had heard a word from Jack.
Which was why Y/N was curled up against Hook’s side, trying not to cry again.
“It’s okay mamas” he breathes into her ear, rubbing his hand up and down her back. “He’ll come around eventually”
“I’ve never gone this long without talking to him” Y/N sniffles.
“I’m sorry” Hook replies, and leans down to kiss her head.
“It’s not your fault. I should have just told him” Y/N wipes her eyes.
“We should have told him. It’s not all on you Y/N” Hook corrects, making her smile up at him.
Then her phone dings, and she pulls away to pick it up.
Hey Y/N. I’m sorry I haven’t responded to you at all for so long. Could we meet up somewhere for lunch?
“He texted me!” Y/N grins. “He wants to meet for lunch”
Hook grins back, relieved that Y/N was so happy. “That’s great mamas” he says before pecking her lips.
She hops up off the couch and runs to get ready, and Hook just watches her with an adoring smile.
Lunch was awkward, to say the least.
The two siblings just sat and stared at the ground for a little while, before Jack decided to speak up. “So, how long have you and Hook been together?”
“We got together about a month after I started traveling with you” Y/N answers honestly.
Jack just nods, tapping his fingers on the table.
“I know you’re mad, and I understand that. But we didn’t mean to hurt you. We love each other Jack” Y/N says.
“If that’s all true why’d you keep it from me?” Jacks asks.
“Because we were scared of how you’d react” Y/N quickly retorts. “And clearly we weren’t wrong to worry”
Jack huffs and rolls his eyes before standing up. “I gotta go to the bathroom”
Y/N watches him walk away with an annoyed expression.
This whole situation wasn’t adding up for her. She had done plenty of stuff that Jack didn’t like, and he’d never acted like this. And the way her explaining everything to him didn’t even make him budge was unlike him.
Which is what prompted her to pick up his phone that he left on the table and open it.
She scrolled through his contacts and stopped on the contact of his best friend. Y/N knew Jack told him everything.
She looks through their messages, and she can feel her blood boiling at what she reads.
It’s the perfect cover dude. I was always gonna betray Hook at Forbidden Door, but I just happened to see a text he sent Y/N that night. Now the fans will feel bad for me, and they won’t turn on me.
She quickly takes a screenshot and sends it to herself before a voice snaps her out of her head. “Why are you on my phone?”
Y/N abruptly stands up and turns to face him with a furious glare. “Because I’m related to you, so I must have at least a little sneak in me”
She shoves the phone into his chest. “You’re a no good, lying bastard! You tried to use me so the fans wouldn’t hate you for what you did?!”
“S-Sis…” Jack stumbles over his words.
Y/N feels her skin burning in anger. “Fuck you”
She whips around and storms out of the restaurant in a huff, as Jack follows behind her.
“You don’t wanna talk to me?! Fine! Maybe you’ll wanna talk to me after I take that championship from your pathetic fuck budd-“
Y/N cuts him off by whipping around and slapping him as hard as she can in the face.
He stumbles away from her with wide eyes as she rips her bracelet off her wrist.
She and Jack had gotten matching bracelets on vacation when they were little, and neither one of them had ever taken them off.
So for a moment, Jack regretted his whole crazy scheme as he watched her throw it on the ground and turn away from him with tears in her eyes.
He kneeled down and picked the bracelet up, and let out a sad chuckle at the silly little turtle charm. He quickly wipes his eyes before standing back up with it tight in his grip.
Meanwhile, Y/N had taken off as fast as she could down the street and towards the hotel.
She was doing her best not to cry as she walked through the lobby and got on the elevator.
She rushed out once it got to her floor, and practically sprinted down the hall towards her room.
Towards Hook.
She knocked on the door, and as soon as it opened she threw herself into his arms.
Hook immediately wraps his arms around her and guides her to sit down on the bed. “What happened babygirl?”
“He’s a liar!” She cries, burying her head in his chest. “He was always going to do that to you! It was just a coincidence that he found out about us that night! And he decided to use it as a c-cover so the fans wouldn’t turn on him”
Hook doesn’t say anything, but Y/N can feel the way his body tenses and his grip on her tightens.
Y/N looks up at him, and his face is stone cold.
She pulls away and leans her forehead against his. “I’m sorry... I’m so sorry he did this”
He places his hands on her waist and pulls her onto his lap. “Don’t apologize. None of this was your fault mamas”
“What are you gonna do? He.. he said he was going to take the title from you” Y/N mumbles nervously.
“Don’t you worry your pretty little head about that” Hook replies, kissing her on the temple. “I’ll deal with him. I’ll deal with him really fucking soon”
"Let me come out there with you"
"Absolutely not" Hook says sternly, not looking away from the monitor.
It was the first dynamite after Forbidden Door, and Jack was currently out in the ring talking about everything that happened.
Hook was standing up, staring into the screen, and Y/N was convinced Jack must feel it through the screen from the intensity of Hook's glare.
On the contrary, Y/N didn't even want to look at the screen. Nor did she want to hear his voice, but that was kind of impossible with Hook listening to each cruel word intently.
Y/N and Jack had gotten into a fight on twitter a few days prior. Jack had tried to message Y/N, but she blocked his phone number. So Jack took to twitter to whine, and Y/N replied with a long and angry tweet exposing every one of Jack's lies.
So with the truth out, it seemed Jack fully succumbed to a new heel persona that Y/N couldn't even recognize.
Her own brother was standing in the ring, saying terrible things about the man she loved. She couldn't understand how they'd gotten to this point.
They used to be best friends, an inseparable pair. You could never find one without the other. But now they didn't even want to be in the same building.
But they had to be for work.
"Tyler, I don't want you going out there alone" Y/N insists, walking over to wrap her arms around him from behind.
Hook places his hands on her's, and leans back into her embrace. "I can't focus if I'm worried about you getting hurt mamas"
Y/N felt her heart crack a little at the familiar words. Hook was referring to Jack like he was some unpredictable enemy. But sadly, at this point: he was. "He wouldn't hurt me"
Hook looks down at her hands that are gripping onto him, and lets out a breath. "I don't know that anymore"
Y/N just leans her head down against his back in defeat, and tears gather in her eyes "He wouldn't..."
Hook turns to face her, and holds her tight. "I'll handle him, don't worry"
Y/N takes a deep breath, trying to compose herself before pulling away from him. "You should head out there"
"Are you gonna be okay?" Hook asks, placing his hand against her cheek and wiping away a tear.
She nods and flashes him a smile that doesn't reach her eyes.
Hook places a lingering kiss on her head, before looking down to gaze into her eyes. "I'll be back before you know it"
With that, he leaves one last kiss on her lips and leaves the room.
Y/N watches as he leaves, before sitting down on the couch. She stares at the screen, waiting for Hook to storm out.
She sniffles as she stares at Jack, and does her best to stop the tears from falling as she listens to his words.
She just hoped this would all be over soon.
“Are you okay Y/N?”
Y/N turns from watching Hook warming up to weakly smile at Taz.
It was finally the day: the day Hook defended the FTW title against Jack.
She could feel her stomach twisting into knots at the very thought, but she had to just push those feelings down.
It was happening in less than half an hour, and she had to be ready.
“I’m all good Taz” she smiles.
But Taz just raises an eyebrow at her and crosses his arms. He had been able to duck off the commentary table during a commercial break, and he didn’t have time for her deflections. “I know you’re not hon”
She just stares at him for a few seconds. “I have to be. This isn’t about me or my feelings”
“Supporting Tyler doesn’t mean that you can’t be sad about this. If you were actually fine right now I’d think you were a robot” Taz replies. “All I’m saying is, be easy on yourself. Don’t beat yourself up for still caring about Jack”
And with that he turns to Hook, and they start talking as Taz’s words circle in Y/N’s mind.
She didn’t even notice when Taz walked away, and was only brought out of her head when Hook slipped his arms around her waist. “Remember what I said mamas. I can’t focus and be worried about you. Please let me handle him”
“I will” Y/N whispered back, but with her fingers crossed at her side.
It took all of the willpower Y/N had to not run over when Jack had Hook set up for a draping DDT, and when he hit it she couldn’t stop the small cry from escaping her lips as she watched Hook’s head hit the ground.
Y/N immediately ran over to Hook as Jack rolled into the ring in hopes of a count-out victory.
“Baby, are you ok?” Y/N has to do her best from hopping in the ring and attacking Jack when the only answer she gets from Hook is a moan of pain.
She places her hands on his back and gently rubs up and down in an attempt to pull him back to his senses, as the numbers yelled by the ref ring in the couple’s ears.
“Help me up” Hook breathes out, struggling to pull himself up.
“Tyler” Y/N mumbles, hesitation clear in her tone. She was clearly worried about him continuing with his injuries.
“I’m not letting him win” Hook fumes. “Help me Y/N, please”
Her eyes flicker from him to the ref, and as he calls seven Y/N wraps her arms around Hook and hauls him to his feet.
She pushes him into the ring right before the ref got to ten, much to Jack’s chagrin.
Y/N watches with scared eyes as Jack starts tauntingly kicking Hook in the face.
Y/N can see the fury in Hook’s eyes, and she lets out a little smile when he gets to his feet and swings at Jack.
Jack avoids it and tries to grab Hook for a suplex, but Hook elbows him and breaks out of his grasp.
But Jack grabs him again and hits Hook with a German suplex.
He looks over to his sister with a smirk, which quickly changes to confusion when he sees the smirk on her face.
Hook had gotten right back on his feet, and Y/N couldn’t be prouder of him.
Jack whips around and tries to hit Hook, but Hook dodges him.
Jack tries to kick Hook next, but Hook catches him and turns him around before grabbing him around the waist.
Y/N cheers as Hook hits him with a northern lights suplex.
Jack kicks out right before the three count, but Hook maintains the waistlock.
He pulls Jack up and hits him with another northern lights suplex. But once again, Jack kicks out.
Y/N just cheers as she realizes Hook still has the waistlock on Jack, and she can’t stop herself from grinning when Hook starts another suplex.
But her grin drops when Jack grabs onto the ref, and while he’s distracted kicks Hook with a low blow.
Y/N can barely watch as Hook tries to pull himself up, and Jack runs and bounces off the ropes before hitting Hook with an elbow strike in the back of the head.
Jack rolls Hook over for the cover, and Y/N can tell that Hook is dazed.
“KICK OUT BABY!” Y/N screams. It’s like her voice breaks the daze he was in, as he immediately kicks out upon hearing her.
She lets out a relieved breath, and avoids eye contact with Jack who was sending her a nasty glare.
Y/N raises an eyebrow as Jack rolls out of the ring, but her eyes widen when he grabs the FTW title.
She runs over and grabs the other end of it.
They glare at each other, and each one is trying to yank the title out of the other’s grasp.
“You know you can’t win on your own!” Y/N yells. “You’ve been cheating this whole damn time because you know you’re just not as good as him!”
Her words seem to just make Jack angrier. He finally wins their tug-of-war and jumps back in the ring before she has the opportunity to grab the belt again.
Hook catches Jack when he tries to hit him, but Jack pulls them backward and they crash into the ring post with the ref.
Y/N’s eyes widen as the ref crumbles to the ground, and she feels the anxiety building in her.
Y/N reaches into the ring and tries to shake the ref awake as Hook hits Jack with a suplex.
Hook covers Jack, but looks up when he doesn’t hear the ref hitting the mat.
He sees Y/N climbing into the ring, trying to get the ref up, and walks over to help.
The ref starts to get back to his feet with Y/N’s help, so Hook turns to face Jack.
But Y/N’s eyes widen when she realizes Jack has the belt.
She lets go of the ref and runs over to push Hook out of the way just before Jack hits him, and the belt collides with her side at full force instead.
She falls to the ground in pain, clutching her side.
Hook doesn’t care about anything in that moment except for Y/N, and he takes his eyes off of Jack to run to her.
And Jack draws his final line in the sand as he uses his sister a final time.
Instead of helping her, Jack uses her injury distracting Hook to hit him in the face with the belt.
Y/N is able to zone back in just in time to register the third hit on the mat and the bell signaling the end of the match.
She just watches with tears welling in her eyes as Jack grabs the title and stands on the ropes to show it off.
Y/N pulls herself up, trying to ignore the pain in her side to make sure Hook is okay.
But Jack hops back down and smirks at her. “What’d I tell you sis? You should know better than to be with a loser like him”
But his cocky demeanor instantly drops when she counters with four simple, but gut-wrenching and powerful words.
“You’re just like Christian.”
It came out as barely a whisper, but to Jack, it was like a gunshot ringing through his ears.
After that, Y/N didn’t even spare him a second glance as she checked on Hook.
“Baby?” She softly calls, running her hands through his hair with the hand not clutching her side.
Hook stirs after a moment, and his eyes widen as he comes back to his senses.
He quickly pulls himself up, and ignores Y/N’s insisting on him to take it easy. “Are you okay?”
She nods, but Hook doesn’t miss the way she’s holding onto her side, and the pain clear in her glassy eyes.
The two lock eye contact for a moment, before leaning against one another in an attempt at comfort.
Hook places a kiss on her head, as sadness courses through both of their veins.
This was one of the worst days of both of their lives, but at least they had each other.
Despite everything that had just happened, they wouldn’t go back and change a single thing. Because everything that had happened is what brought them together.
As long as they could lean on each other, they’d always be able to get back up.
