Twitter was sent into a frenzy on Sunday, as AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda sneakily revealed during his post-race interview that his previously-unknown beau was in attendance at the Miami GP!

Tsunoda has been notoriously quiet about his private life, leaving fans stunned at the seemingly out-of-nowhere revelation. The Internet quickly began to scour for the unknown woman online, however with what little information they had, quickly turned up empty. Though, the commotion evidently attracted the attention of the team at AlphaTauri themselves. On Monday, their official Instagram account uploaded a post commemorating the weekend, in which Tsunoda’s girlfriend was also featured.

Eagle-eyed fans may have noted that both Yuki Tsunoda and the AlphaTauri Instagram account were both cheekily interacting with a private account. Soon, rumours were flying that this account was indeed run by Tsunoda’s girlfriend. As seen above, a quick look reveals that numerous Formula 1 drivers including Pierre Gasly, Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, and Tsunoda himself, are following the account.

Some were not so convinced, however. Fans were also quick to question the account’s authenticity, with some expressing doubts on whether the account owner was even the alleged girlfriend herself. However, these rumours were soon revealed to be true. On Tuesday, the account – which had previously been private with little over 300 followers – mysteriously became public. Fans immediately flocked to the account, taking to Twitter and Instagram to report their findings. With her most recent post being a dedication to her boyfriend and her time “in miamiiiiii with my boyyyyyy”, there is little doubt that the account’s owner – whom we can now confirm is Y/N L/N – is in fact the Japanese driver’s girlfriend!

The reason for the account’s sudden change in privacy is unknown, though some theorise that the account was hacked, perhaps by an extremely dedicated fan. Daily Mail has reached out to Tsunoda, AlphaTauri, and Y/N L/N herself for comment.

I really like reading your posts. They give me a home like feeling because u always manage to bring out the characters well and the place and atmosphere to life.

I have an idea. What if Seb woke up during weekend thinking he overslept- but he actually woke up super early. He runs around the room to get ready and then he speeds to the great hall, only to find that there is no one. Anxiety gets to him. So he runs to the class and passes by reader who is a prefect and they tell him that it’s weekend. So they fix his messy uniform ( tie and so) and walk with him to some quiet corner of the castle where he falls asleep again but in their arms as she kisses his hand and tells him that he’s safe and alright.

Sebastian shot up from his bed, eyes wide as he looked around the room. His vision was blurry as he looked to where Ominis slept, not seeing the bundle of blankets on the bed. His head spun around, and he quickly glanced at the clock in the corner, unable to read it as he quickly got out of bed, tripping around his items as he grabbed for his clothes, putting them on. He muttered to himself as he reached for his tie and robe, putting them on half-way as he grabbed for his school bag and slipped on his shoes. “Late? No one thought to wake me up, either. I can’t believe this.” He continued, nearly tripping down the stairs as he hurried out of the common room, earning an odd glance from Imelda, who sat by the window looking into the lake with a book in her lap.

Sebastian quickly sped through the halls, looking into rooms in search of his classmates, who were nowhere to be seen. He let out a frustrated sigh as he turned to the Great Hall, pulling one of the doors open to reveal its empty contents, the candles that hung in the air extinguished as they floated idly around. “Empty? How late is it?” He muttered to himself, taking a final look around before turning away. He stood for a moment as he tapped his foot, the small echoes of shoe on hard flooring the only sound in his ears as he tried to figure out what to do next. “Ominis could have woken me up, yet he didn’t. Where is everyone, anyway?” He said to himself, biting the inside of his cheek as he turned to walk up a flight of steps, huffing in frustration as he stepped on the hem of his robe, nearly falling down the steps for the second time that day.

Ominis returned to the dorm, rubbing his eyes as he stifled a yawn, not even glancing over to where Sebastian slept. He placed his wand onto the table beside his bed, kicking off his shoes as he slipped back under the covers. He had just returned from to toilets, fixing his blankets as he snuggled back under them. He furrowed his brows for a moment, hearing the absent sound of Sebastian’s snores, but shrugged it off as he got cozy, drifting back to sleep.

The ghosts that floated around the halls frowned as Sebastian passed by them, rushing through them without even greeting them. “Well, that was uncalled for!” A woman spoke, earning a quick “Apologies” as Sebastian continued by. Peeves floated behind him, speaking in riddles about how Sebastian was being rude, saying something along the lines of “Waking up on the wrong side of the bed, with looks like that.” Sebastian let out a frustrated sigh as he waved the Poltergeist off, shaking his head as he tried to ignore Peeves. He continued to float around Sebastian, content with pestering the Slytherin, seeing as there weren’t any other students around to torment. “Not now, Peeves! Can’t you see I’m in a rush!” Sebastian shouted, glaring as Peeves as he turned to the colourful menace. “Deary me, deary me! Seems like someone didn’t just wake up on the wrong side of the bed but woke up with a storm cloud hovering over his head!” Peeves laughed, spinning around Sebastian for a moment before drifting off to find someone else to bother.

Sebastian began to walk faster as he continued up the spiral of steps, muttering about the time as he tried to fix his hair, stray curls falling over his forehead; unbrushed. He passed by a hall without bothering to check down it, cursing to himself as he made his way to where the Charms classroom was held. You furrowed your brows in confusion as you looked away from one of the paintings that had called you over, disrupting your morning rounds. You turned to the sound of the voice, watching as the billow of green and black robes disappeared from the entrance, excusing yourself as you moved to follow. “Students aren’t usually up at this time, who’s running around?” You asked yourself, reaching the end of the hall you occupied, watching as the figure took a sharp turn towards another hall. You hurried to catch up, putting your duties in the back of your mind as you began to catch up, watching a head of brown hair turn and go into an empty classroom. You huffed to yourself; another student trying to sneak something out of a classroom, no doubt.

Sebastian stood in the middle of the room; eyes wide as a frown formed on his lips. The classroom of empty of students, and there was no sign of Professor Ronen either. “Perhaps I’m later than I thought.” He muttered, running a hand through his hair as he let out a frustrated sigh. You stood in the doorway, smiling as you recognized the student to be Sebastian, who usually took to stealing from the library instead of a classroom. “Didn’t think you were a big Charms fan, Sebastian.” You said, chuckling lightly as he jumped, spinning around to face you with a slight pink tint to his cheeks. “Y/n! I swear, I overslept! I didn’t mean to miss my classes, you understand.” He rambled, stepping over to you. You shook your head as you smirked, letting Sebastian speak. “Did you know that you’re my favourite Prefect?” He asked, wide-eyed as you shook your head once again. “I’m begging you, don’t send me to the Headmaster, I don’t think I could handle another detention this week.” You chuckled as you reached to fix his tie, frowning playfully as you tried to fix the knot he had left. You sighed as you looked him up and down, raising a brow as you took in his disheveled state, biting back a smile.

“Sebastian, do you know what time it is?” You asked, crossing your arms as you smirked. He shook his head, scratching the back of his neck. “Sometime after nine, that’s for sure. Ominis didn’t even wake me, and the Great Hall was empty, now Charms? I’d be surprised if I had any classes left!” He rambled, pinching the bridge of his nose. You laughed as you shook your head, taking his arm as you led him out of the classroom. “It’s not even seven thirty, Sebastian. Even if you had woken up late, it’s the weekend, we have no classes today.” You said, showing him a clock that stood between two stands of armor, who saluted you in greeting. Sebastian looked at the clock in shock, frowning as he shook his head. “It can’t be the weekend already, can it?” He asked, watching as you nodded, a sympathetic smile gracing your lips. “Saturday, to be exact.” Sebastian continued to shake his head, his thoughts running through his brain as he tried to comprehend everything. “It was just Tuesday, I swear!”

You walked with Sebastian down the hall, leading him to a small corner you had discovered that homed a rather comfortable loveseat, one that you found yourself relaxing on when you had some time to yourself. You sat him down as you conjured up a tea set, pouring him a cup. “You seem to have a lot on your mind lately; not knowing what day it is and all.” You spoked, gently offering the cup to Sebastian, who took it gratefully as he breathed in the sweet scent of Chamomile filling his senses as he nodded. “Would you like to talk about it?” Sebastian thought for a moment, savoring the warm taste as you took a seat next to him. “I’ve been staying up late, I suppose. Catching up on schoolwork, things like that.” He said, looking around at the plain yet comforting décor that surrounded the two of you. You nodded, taking a sip of your tea. “You seem to being doing the work in the classes we share, are you stuck in a different class?” You asked, turning your gaze to him as he shook his head. “I wouldn’t say I’m stuck on a subject, per say. My mind has been…occupied with other things. I haven’t been able to focus on classes because of it.” He spoke, biting the inside of his cheek. You nodded thoughtfully, giving him a gentle smile.

“Does the matter that occupies your thoughts have something to do with Anne? I understand that she’s still unable to return to Hogwarts.” You said, your gaze softening as he slowly nodded. “She’s not getting better, and I’ve been trying to think of ways that would ease her pain.” He spoke softly, furrowing his brows as he let out a frustrated sigh. “Nothing that I’ve found is helping either, but I can’t stop looking. It’s taken over most of my time and thoughts, as you can see.” You nodded, moving your hand to fix his hair. “Perhaps you need a break, some time to just relax. People can’t breeze through a whole week and not realize it while still being able to function normally.” You said, smiling softly as you continued to fix Sebastian, straightening up his robes a bit as you set his bag onto the floor. Sebastian only sighed, frowning as he felt his stomach growl. “I don’t suppose the Great Hall will be opening anytime soon?” He asked, a slight smile gracing his lips as he looked at you. You shook your head as you smiled back, looking over at a nearby clock. “Breakfast is served an hour later, of course. You have around two hours until they start serving. If you’d like, we can stay here, you can catch some more sleep, I’ll wake you when it’s time.” You offered, watching as Sebastian nodded.

“I’m not sure if I’ll be able to sleep after all the stress I went through to get to a class that wasn’t even in session, but I can try.” Sebastian said with a chuckle, setting his cup down as he made himself comfortable. You chuckled with him, biting the inside of your cheek. “My duties for the morning are mostly done, so there’s not much I can do to help you with that problem.” Sebastian scoffed as he poked your side. “What are your duties, anyway? Walking around the halls at seven in the morning, I’d hate to have that job.” You shook your head as you sighed, leaning back into the cushions as you began to explain your weekend routine, smiling softly as you felt his head begin to rest on your shoulder. You spoke softly as you looked over at Sebastian, his eyes visibly growing heavy as you spoke. “It’s not that boring, you know.” You joked, shaking your head. Sebastian let out a small huff as he found your hand, holding it in his own as he let out a small sigh.

“I don’t think they’re boring, just not my thing. But it’s a good thing you were around, else I’d probably still be roaming the halls thinking I overslept.” He said softly, his eyes fluttering shut as you let out a short chuckle. “Perhaps you would, but I saved the day, like always.” Sebastian’s breath grew slow as he drifted to sleep, allowing you a moment to take in his features as his face relaxed. You hadn’t realized just how many freckles dusted his cheeks, and you smiled as you watched his hair fall back into his face, the small, untamed curls from his bed head laying softly over his skin. You sighed as you rested your head onto his, bringing the hand that he still kept in his grasp up, smiling as you placed a small kiss to the back of his hand as you whispered to him. “You’re safe here. You don’t need to worry about anything, just the two hours of sleep you deserve.”

Percabeth

Okay so, I’ma be real. I was kinda disappointed when they got together. I thought we were gonna have “Not Every Boy/Girl relationship is Romantic” representation. But as I read more of their relationship after that, I learned to love their relationship, because its not ALL romantic. They still have that same close friendship they did before they got together and I love that. Their 5 book build up was absolutely awesome tho tbh. Love a slowburn. They are genuinely cute, silly and fun. They are the old married couple at camp teaching the campers cool stuff together. They really compliment each other. Something so personal and perfect about their relationship is that they are both different kinda of smart. Percy is street smart and Annabeth is academically smart. Also, they are both strategic in their own ways and are strong af. The fact that they are basically each other and healing the other while healing themself is precious to me. They are both insecure and feeling lonely in a demigod world, but they found and completed each other.

Yeah, no. Super forced, and not stable. Piper is loving someone who she doesn’t even know, hence her having false memories of him. Jason doesn’t even know her and instantly fell in love. Personally, I’m not a believer in love at first sight. You have to get to know the person to truly love them for all they are. Piper is insecure and a girlboss and this relationship is keeping her alive in HoO, because she is so angry at the world. She’s living off Jason practically and thats not healthy for either of them. Jason is progressively learning about her, but it’s so middle school relationship stuff. Its really shallow love and Piper needs more than that as a child of Aphrodite. Jason needs that too because that’s just how he is but they’re relationship is built of the stress and desperation of war. So yeah. Sorry if this isn’t accurate, I haven’t read HoO in a bit and I’m not good with characters lol.

They’re cute tbh. Age gap is a little scary, but I read something proving that they’re closer in age if you look closely. Anyways, I really like these two. They were crushing on each other before war and were really the only ones there for each other before Percy came to save the day for the Fifth Cohort. They literally had a normal crush on each other, like Percabeth but they didn’t do anything super dangerous together that brought them closer I’m guessing. Their quest with Percy brought out parts of Hazel and Frank that they needed to learn about in order to pursue a healthy relationship. They learned of each other’s pasts. On the Argo II, Frank being jealous of Leo is so cute honestly. Hazel comforting him for it too is awesome and its a cool dynamic. They are just a cool, calm, awesome power couple. They are super powerful and it was so cool to see them discover themselves together and loving each other for it. And interracial representation?? Hello?? Awesome rep, I think. Their cultural differences didn’t stop them and that’s so good for them.

Caleo

No. Just, hell no. It’s a relationship sculpted of desperation. Calypso being nice to him all of a sudden on the beach was uncalled for. Enemies to lovers can NEVER be rushed. They were super rushed. Both of them are desperate too. Calypso was desperate to get off her island and Leo was desperate for a partner after seeing everyone else have one. That is not healthy ‼️‼️ Also, Calypso is mean to Leo?!?! Calypso is bossy and kinda sorta rude to him. Like, hello??!? Leo is a little blinded by the desperation of love to realize this. If they really wanna make it work, get couples counseling from Percabeth, they are by far the healthiest couple. Caleo was def something Rick pulled outta his ass.

Solangelo

Solangelo is my biggest ship, I love them, but I do have some opinions fs. First of all, they are beautiful in theory. I love thinking of what they could’ve been. Yeah the canon’s cool, but Rick doesn’t know how to write gay characters. So most their content is different from the straight couple until TSATS. TSATS was much better writing. Rick had helped from a queer author so they acted like any other couple once again. Second, I love their simplicity. Like, they saw each other in war, thought the other was cute and was like “oh what the the heck?” and eventually got together after the war showing it was not desperation but real. Honestly, I think it started out as a crush then some shallow dating, but after being through the Tower of Nero and that whole thing, it started to get more real. In TSATS, we see them get a deeper connection. They’re whole little shallow crush thing is getting deeper and that dynamic is awesome. Also, they complement each other, and they’re dynamics are awesome. But I really love that they teach each other things. Like Will teaching Nico to embrace his light but to not forget his darkness. Nico teaching Will to embrace his darkness but not to forget his light. They are learning to be healthy and how to do this relationship stuff. I could go on forever about them and not be done so I’ll stop here.

Just watched episode 33 in dub and uhhhhh

I don't know, but it really feels like the dub tried to be more woke and go like "This isn't feminist enough, Yor needs to be more self-assured!" or something. Like, she actually sounds like a professional assassin, and... I think that misses the point? I mean, I feel we're supposed to see the two different sides of Yor; the meticulous assassin and the kind woman who loves her family, and how those two can coexist at the same time. Like, she'll be super kind when she kills people, and she will accidentally yeet her daughter 100 meters across the sea because of her assassin skills, and she's both.

In the original, when Sniff Jobs calls Yor a heartless woman, her voice is very calm and kind when she explains herself. In the dub her voice sounds assertive and bossy, like she's almost offended someone would dare question her morals after she killed a bunch of people.

It makes for an entirely new characterization... and I really don't appreciate the change in that route. If anything, making her more assertive makes her whole questioning of her identity and purpose as an assassin kinda moot. Like, when she tells Sniff Jobs "I killed them. I had to. Sorry about that" her "Sorry" sounds a little... sarcastic? I don't know any Japanese but in the original she sounds like she recognizes it was a necessary evil, like she wishes she didn't have to do it. In the dub she sounds like "LMAO who cares".

AND THAT'S NOT THE POINT OF YOR'S CHARACTER. She doesn't see her targets are pigs for the slaughter, or as pawns to be taken away. She sees them as people and respects them and tries to deliver a quick and painless death. It's a weird dynamic and the story is openly not excusing her but THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT. IT MAKES HER LAYERED.

I mean, when poison gas guy covers her in that cloud of gas, she says "That was so rude!" In the original you can actually believe that Yor felt that the guy's choice of weapon was uncalled for. In the dub, Yor hasn't built that trust with the audience for us to think that she thinks any of that as rude, so it doesn't make any sense for her to even say that!

And when she's hit by katana guy and spends a few good seconds wondering what's happening... she doesn't sound, well, funny. In the original she sounds a little silly yes but again. That's the point. She's having a near-death experience, and we can understand some silliness as her control slips. It's what makes her jumping to thinking about Loid's shirts and Anya's library books make sense. She's in a weird state and of course she's going to think of things she shouldn't be thinking at that exact moment.

Meanwhile, the dub makes her sound like "Oh shit I'm going to die what am I going to do"... and then she thinks about the shirts and the books and it doesn't make any sense! If she was logical and had her wits with her, she wouldn't jump to silly matters like that. It's a jarring change and it's unfortunately backed by her entire characterization in the dub, where she's more assertive and trying to look less naive and self-conscious.

And it's annoying. Hashtag Not My Yor.

Finally, there were some slight changes in dialogue that I'm not sure I understood why they happened, and that they took away some great points? Like, first, when she says she has to clean up the world, that things haven't changed and that it's more important now to do that - as she thinks of the Forgers - in the dub it's "Things haven't changed, and they never truly will". Like, bruh. Do they even care about her characterization or not. If anything, saying those lines while she thinks of the Forgers... kinda makes it sound like she's complaining. In the original, the "It's more true now than ever" makes her sound like she thinks of them as an inspiration to keep doing what she does. The "They never truly will" in the dub... makes her sound like she thinks of them as a burden.

Like, idk. Maybe I'm just taking it too far. But I really didn't like it.

And then, when she grabs the katana with her hand, she says "I don't need there to be peace" like what. Uhm. I assumed the original meant that she didn't care if she didn't have any peace, not the entire fucking world. Did I just read it wrong all this time? Did the manga and the anime subs give us a wrong translation, or did the dub translators just throw the dialogue into google translate and gave the voice actress whatever mess it threw out?

All that said, I don't blame the voice actress. She's just doing her job with what she's given, and with what I assume are the directorial choices.

But it still sucks.

ow but charles being so sad and kinda shocked about how judgy seb and lewis reacted to max? especially lewis who charles thought would be more chill but seb is actually the one who is at least trying to talk to max and be nice and welcoming. poor max feeling so out of place and uncomfortable during the dinner because he despises small talk and he can already tell that neither of charles‘ parents like him. him constantly tugging down the long sleeves and the collar of his shirt up not only because he wants to hide the tattoos but because he wants to hide away completely! charles is so bitterly disappointed and pls him stopping max on the front porch afterwards and apologizing? he really did think seb and lewis would be more open and that they just need a little time to warm up surely! max is super distraught tho. he already feels like he‘s not enough for charles, and seb and lewis just made it worse….he just laughs it off in front of charles though and tells him that he expected it already. it‘s fine, whatever. (it‘s obv not)

charles storming back inside after max left and it‘s the first time he‘s picking a fight with seb or lewis maybe? usually he‘s a very nice kid who would never fight or yell but this time around he‘s insanely upset

Seb and Lewis have always been super open and understanding, and Charles never thought they would react to Max like this! Sure he wiuld expect a little apprehension but this is just so rude and they are making Max incredibly uncomfortable. Max wearing the hoodie even though it's warm and he is just trying to hide in it! He is tense and not meeting anyone's eye anymore, trying to make small talk but Seb and especially lesis are not really trying to keep the conversation going making it more awkward.

Max just feels so unwelcome and he is just broken because he tried so hard! He loves Charles and wanted to make a good first impression but even his best is clearly not enough.

Max still tries to be polite and thanks them for the food before practically fleeing the house. Charles stops him on the porch and hugs him so tight, but Max is tense snd not reslly hugging back and his smile as he tried to brush it all off is so fake but there is little Charles can do...

Charles going inside and its the first time he has a fight with seb and Lewis. They got along so well since charles arrived and Charles sees them as his parents but this was just so uncalled for! He makes it very clear how rude seb and Lewis were and how fucking hard Max was trying to leave a good impression and how he isnt some sort of criminal, poor thing just had a rough life and js trying to make things better and Seb and Lewis just make him doubt himself all over again!

Charles storming out after, leaving Seb and Lewis flabbergasted and they know they were wrong treating Max so badly...

Read your last reblog, as someone who has written lots of fanfiction has it ever occured to you receiving bad comments? Or to someone you love? I have never seen a negative review on a fanfiction

Yeah, a good friend of mine got some super nasty guest comments on one of her fics. They were extremely unwarranted and uncalled for, the person spent what must have been an hour or more nitpicking every line for grammatical errors (that weren't even errors) and also critiquing the historical and scientific accuracy of her work. It was horrible.

Another person personally once sent me an ask telling me that "no one cares about [my] shitty fanfiction." No real elaboration on that, but it was a really crappy thing to get in ye olde inbox. Yet another anon told me that I "write too much Thomastair" and should write the things that they like instead. I resolved in that moment to write even more Thomastair because they are a blessing and I love them and fuck their haters.

I also received a pretty rude comment on a fic in another fandom (Never Have I Ever), though it was on a story for a very unpopular pairing (Ben/Aneesa). The person was Not Happy that I did not write for their ship instead (which was dumb because I wrote a lot for their ship, too, retrospectively).

The problem is that he is OVERWORKED. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be criticizing it but don’t like??? Be SUPER rude about it? Because some of the things I’ve seen people say some of the meanest things that are a little uncalled for. Most people don’t cross the line but still.

also I’ve seen some people say that the artist of bamboo kingdom should replace him? No? Probably one of the reasons that art is so good is because the artist ISNT overworked and I’m pretty sure that book series used to only publish once a year? I think it’s twice now, but still. It’s still less than what Owen has to do.

Yeah I have absolutely no doubt he is overworked, especially with having to do all those ultimate guide illustrations and reprint covers on top of his 3 times a year new covers for these books. They better at least pay him well, I’m surprised he took the job in the first place. I really feel for the guy. They should have hired multiple artists who could all do a similar style to help spread the work load

“He’s got a point, Mol.” Their mom added, “I think you should give her a real chance before making a decision.”

“Whatever.” She grumbled.

“You better be on your best behavior.” The mom said, “We’ve invited her over tomorrow as an ‘I’m sorry for my daughter behavior’ dinner.” She glared at her oldest.

Molly rolled her eyes before walking away.

“I’m sorry honey,” his mom sighed, “I don’t understand why she’s being like this.”

“She doesn’t want me hurt like I was with Kaley.”

“And that’s understandable, but you’re not stupid and you’re not 15 anymore.”

“I know.” He shook his head as he shut his eyes, “Hopefully Y/N can win her over; otherwise family get togethers are gonna be super awkward.”

“I think it’s more of Molly having to win Y/N over.” His dad sighed, “Molly was rude to Y/N, which was uncalled for. She needs to be back in her good graces- not the other way around.”

Original Ask: i thought of a lil something, maybe an alisson x reader fic where they have been dating for a long time and reader wants to introduce alisson to their parents but readers parents dont like/approve of him, so alisson is like super disappointed but reader comforts him (@multieyedsimp)

(author's note: i am so sorry this wasn't posted earlier, i've had this on my request list for so long !!)

Growing up with strict parents had given Y/N many setbacks in life. There were countless things that she was unable to do because of the set rules she had been forced to follow. As soon as she could move out of her childhood home and be allowed a taste of freedom, she had taken the chance.

Y/N did love her parents. After all, they had done everything for her throughout her life. Part of her just wished they weren’t so restricting. When she met Alisson, she finally figured out what freedom was like.

He was a laid-back, relaxed man, and this translated into how he acted in relationships. With Y/N, he doted on her and was patient with her. He never raised his voice and treated her with the upmost respect.

When it came to meeting each other’s family, Y/n had met almost all of Alisson’s relatives; his mother, cousins, aunties, all of them. And they all loved her. However, her situation was more complicated.

Her parents had always wanted her to marry a doctor or a lawyer. They had always frowned upon sports, so her bringing home a professional goalkeeper wouldn’t please them in the slightest, and she knew it. But Alisson insisted he wanted to meet them. The date had been set, and Y/N couldn’t help the feeling of dread that took over her body every time she thought about it.

She had told her boyfriend what her parents were like over and over again, but Alisson simply didn’t seem to grasp how bad they really were.

The whole thing went horribly. Y/N was so ashamed of her parents at that moment. They had spent the whole evening belittling Alisson to the point where Y/N had to step in. The pair left soon after, Alisson finally realising what his beloved girlfriend had meant when she talked about her parents all these years.

“Please don’t be too upset, Ali. They’re awful, I know they are.” Y/N said, trying to console Alisson, who was devastated that Y/N’s parents didn’t accept him. He loved her so much, and he just wanted her parent’s approval of their relationship more than anything.

“I know, it’s just part of me was holding out hope that it would go well.”

“You’re more than enough for me and all the other people that matter. I’m just sorry they were so rude to you. It was uncalled for.”

“I just can’t believe you had to live with that for all those years.”

Silence descended over the pair as they sat in their living room. The night might've been a failure, but they had each other, and that was all that mattered to them.
