“Underneath My Skin” by The Band CAMINO

Alternative group The Band CAMINO release their debut self-titled album, The Band CAMINO with the release of eight brand new songs.

For fans who enjoyed previously released singles such as “1 Last Cigarette” and “Know It All,” they won’t be disappointed with the rest of the project. Keeping an upbeat tempo with an introspective tone is the theme of the majority of the songs across the debut LP. Traveling through life’s many adventures including love, loss, disappointing your mom – aptly titled, “Sorry Mom” – as well as a look at our obsession with our phones in “Look Up,” the album reflects a level of growth and depth that both fans new and old will come to appreciate.

“Underneath My Skin” appears as the third song off the album and finds the band dealing with a never-ending break up. Rock driven, the song is nostalgically familiar with a melodic resemblance to Michelle Branch’s “Everywhere” with their own twist to it.

The Nashville based band recently kicked off their opening slot on the Dan + Shay arena tour as they hit Philadelphia tomorrow. Up-and-coming country singer Ingrid Andress joins as an opener as well. For ticket information click HERE.

UNDERNEATH MY SKIN

Wedded by love, yet despised by trust. Controlling emotions like my fingers are wands of magic and mallice that i strike upon myself But the truth is, i can only control my facial emotions with layers of foundation that cannot be touched by others that are not me. Seen but i can't really be seen because my emotions are ash and dusty winds that pass you by and you can't taste nor see me, You that i love but don't love me, ans i can't blame love, because love doesn't know how it feels to love and it's job description entails inflicting love, not educating on it. And i can only justify my facades to myself because I understand Me, no therapists needed because they only do what they once saw on a piece of paper that assumed it could understand the mind. To powers of the heart and mind that keep raging a battlefield within my flesh, fighting what is wrong and what is worse.. and that leaps of faith are like cliffs and you can easily fall, fall down and under, below sea level, for someone senseless and careless. One who will not love you like you do, or form a love as worthless as a ray of sun on a cold and windy day. The insync muscles all around my body are weakened each and every single hour that loses itself in time, with my expanding thoughts of "what if.." and "..why me" make headlines in the rear of my mind. And I can't beg or pray for a solution if I don't know where it is, my body wants to take me, yet i know that beneath this skin lies works of untamed arts that are awaiting an in depth exploration.
