Kangmin was quite sure his heart had just fallen out of his chest as he stood on the sidewalk, shoes glued to the pavement, mouth open ajar in shock. He had been walking you home after the soccer team practice ended which was already a hard enough task. Whenever he was around you, especially alone, his heart would thump rapidly in his chest and his breath would hitch just from the close contact. His massive crush on you did him no favours— he was a complete and under mess as soon as you so much as glanced at him.

He had tried to work on it, maybe even gather enough courage to confess his feelings to you with the help of Dongheon and Gyehyeon. But their advice made no sense, and they always seemed to contradict each other. Dongheon swore that he had to just take the shot and ask you out immediately, while Gyehyeon was convinced that he needed to drop subtle hints otherwise you would feel that it was too sudden.

In the end, Kangmin wasn’t able to do either.

He felt like such a loser, unable to even form words if you looked at him for too long. God forbid you smiled at him; he needed a good 10 minutes to recover from that. He was so incredibly whipped for you that he didn’t even mind the constant teasing from his friends about how lovesick he was. It was the truth, after all.

Everything had been going smoothly, and Kangmin was even proud of himself for being able to hold a smooth conversation with you on the walk home. Your laughter and smiles still made butterflies swarm in his stomach, but he didn’t let them distract him too much. He was confident that maybe he was even building up the courage to ask you out. That was, until you turned onto your street.

It was the last thing Kangmin could have ever expected— that instead of saying goodbye and going into your house like normal, you decided to bid him farewell in a different way.

A kiss. To his cheek.

You disappeared behind your front door before Kangmin even had time to process what had happened. The only thing his brain could do was replay what had just happened again and again. You turned around, smiled, and he was so sure you were about to say goodbye like usual, but instead you were stepping closer to him and going up on your tip-toes. And then your lips reached his cheek.

Your soft lips on his cheek.

If any of Kangmin’s friends saw him right now, they would be able to tease him for the rest of his life from just how red his face was. He tentatively touched his cheek right where you had kissed, as if to see if it had really happened or if he was just dreaming. It definitely was real, because he could feel the slight stain of your lip gloss; and that made it 100 times worse.

Kangmin was pretty sure it would take a little longer than just 10 minutes to recover from this.

A/N: I want to apologize to the anon who requested this for taking so long, sorry! I just like to take my time when it comes to reaction requests so they come out good ^^’ I hope the wait was worth it and that you like this one!

Dongheon was a really responsible leader, everyone knew this.

The two of you didn’t get in trouble when your relationship became public, his company had been understanding and his fans had been more than welcoming, adoring every single public interaction they managed to see between the two of you.

He wasn’t a huge fan of letting them see though. Dongheon wanted your relationship to be intimate despite how famous he was, he wanted to keep your love private in order to keep the intimacy and to be an example for the other members. The fact that the company allowed him to have a girlfriend didn’t mean he could show off about it every single chance he got, that’s what he thought.

You tried to respect his decision but sometimes little mistakes would be done. For example, right now, as all of you were gathered in the kitchen cooking tonight’s dinner, you had unconciously leaned foward and pecked his lips. He had been shocked but couldn’t bring himself to scold you when he saw your cute little smile. Damn, you knew how to make him weak.

“I’m sorry, I was just...It just happened” You apologized chuckling, scratching the back part of your neck, noticing how your cheeks started to turn pink when the rest of the members started teasing the two of you without any mercy.

“It’s okay” He said with a small, shy smile. Chuckling when his members only got louder as soon as his face started turning red too “No need to apologize” Dongheon leaned in and gave you a quick kiss on the cheek before he hurried into the dining room to shut everybody up.

Cuddled up on the couch as you watched some movies with the guys, you rested your head onto Hoyoung’s shoulder, bringing the blanket higher on your body to cover most of your bodies. You loved lazy days besides them, it was just so relaxing to do domestic things with your boyfriend and his friends that on their free days you always ended up spending more time in their dorm than in your own place.

“Are you cold?” He asked quietly, rubbing your side gently as he pulled you closer to him “Need another blanket?”

Hoyoung was just so sweet than you couldn’t hold the urge of kissing him back and before he could get shy and move away, you placed a small, short kiss onto his lips, giggling quietly since all the guys had been too focused on the movie to notice it.

“I’ll take that as a no” He muttered chuckling quietly, cheeks slightly pink as he pressed a small kiss to the side of your head before resting his against yours.

“”I didn’t know you were here!”

You couldn’t help but smile when you saw your boyfriend walking out of his room, finding you in his living room, chatting with his friends. Dongheon had told you he was napping when you showed up so you decided to wait and let him rest instead of waking him up, they were all exhausted due to their upcoming comeback and you were nobody to steal some of his resting minutes from him.

“Hey babe” Minchan stood in front of you, leaning down to kiss your lips as you greeted him, a small smirk on his lips since he knew you were slightly shy about doing this kind of things in front of the other guys.

“EWWW!!” Some of the shouted, just teasing the two of you.

However, Minchan wasn’t having it and he only sat down on your lap, stealing chuckles from your lips already “Ew, what? Wanna see it again?” He asked teasing them back, puckering his lips to give you another kiss.

You played along and returned the kiss, laughing when the members just started screaming in disgust even louder.

“Is that my hoodie?” Gyehyeon instantly ignored the conversation he was having with Minchan as soon as he saw you walk into the living room wearing his clothes. A shy smiles made it’s way up to your lips while you nodded at him, hands nervously fidgeting with the hem of the cloth.

“I was just feeling a little cold and I-”

Before you could keep explainning yourself, he leaned down and pressed a kiss against your lips, feeling a little shy since he wasn’t used to demostrate his affection when the members were still around.

All of them started cheering around you as soon as your lips met and you couldn’t help but laugh against Gyehyeon’s lips. However, your boyfriend, being the guy he was, soon pulled back and turned around to glare at them. The rest of the members shut up and ran away before he could hit them.

“Hey! Didn’t know you were coming over today, didn’t you have to study?”

You shook your head, walking into the dorms as you got rid of your jacket “The exam’s date has been changed so I can study tomorrow instead. I thought about coming over since I knew you guys had the day off” Not seeing any of the members around, you leaned closer and gave him a quick peck, stealing a cute smile from him.

“EW! GET A ROOM!” Somebody shouted from the kitchen, making the two of you laugh. They always did this whenever the two of you were affectionate with the other.

“Ew! GeT a RoOm!” Yeonho shouted back, laughing as he pecked your lips again “You guys are just jealous that I have a girlfriend to kiss!”

You knew he was shy and you also knew that if he could avoid doing any affectionate demostrations while the other members were around, he would avoid it. However, you hadn’t been able to hold back the urge to squish his cheeks and peck his lips when you had caught him doing some aegyo due for a punishment the guys had establish for a game they were playing.

All the guys started cheering loudly and even though you blushed, you ended up laughing, seeing they were only teasing the two of you.

“Shut up guys” Yongseung said quietly, quietly hiding his face against your neck, only making his friends get louder in order to tease him even more “Tell them to shut up” He muttered to you shyly, keeping his red face hidden behind your hair and against your soft neck.

This wasn’t supposed to happen. You had only leaned in to kiss him just because you thought the two of you were alone but right in the exact moment your lips met Kangmin’s, the dorm’s door slammed opened and most of the members witnessed the moment.

To say the two of you were embarrased was a total understatement. Your faces got ridiculously red as they all laughed and teased him, he was the maknae, so he was obviously going to be teased to death for this.

“That’s what you two do when we’re not around?” Yeonho teased smirking, making you get even redder.

“Yah! Shut up hyung!” Kangmin shouted, pushing them all inside the dorm so they would leave you alone once again.

Amusement Park with Kangmin

Pairing: Boyfriend!Kangmin x reader

Summary: Kangmin hates high places so the two of you go to an amusement park to help him face his fears

It was a spring day, the kind where the sun is out, the sky is blue, but it’s still chilly enough to make you want to snuggle into a sweater. The good but kind of bad weather perfectly described Kangmin’s and your emotions - excitement and fear.

As you walked towards the gates of the huge park, you wondered why Kangmin wasn’t beside you anymore. When you turned around, you found him frozen in place, his mouth wide open as he stared at the tallest ride in the park. Laughing to yourself, you ran up to him and tightly held his hand.

“We don’t have to ride anything that big, okay?” you told him, snapping him out of his daze. He gave you a worried smile as the two of you continued towards the front gates.

Once you got in, Kangmin was oddly quiet and fidgeting with your hand as he held it in his.

“Which ride shall we go on first?!” you asked excitedly, jumping up.

“Can we go on a Merry-Go-Round?” he asked, giving you a small smile.

You pouted. “Come onnn, I know I said we should start small, but not that small.”

You scanned the map that you had been given at the entrance, looking for a ride that wasn’t extremely scary, but not something very small either. When you found it, you turned the map to Kangmin and pointed at it with your finger.

“How about this one? It isn’t so bad!” you said. Kangmin let out a shaky ‘ahhhh’ making you chuckle.

You squeezed his hand and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

“You can do it Kangmin! I’ll be with you, right next to you for every second of it.”

Kangmin looked down with a smile, feeling a tingling on his cheek - the ghost of your lips.

As you walked towards the ride which was not far from the entrance, you tried to keep a conversation with Kangmin so he wouldn’t feel too scared. He still gave very quiet responses and kept spacing out, but as you waited in the line for the ride, you gave him a tight back hug and continuously whispered ‘you can do it!’ in his ear. It made him laugh, but you could tell he was still scared.

You were at the front of the line and would be the next people to get on. Kangmin stretched out his neck to take a look at the ride. Suddenly, he gasped and squeezed your hand.

“This ride has loops? It goes upside down and you never told me?” he exclaimed. You bit your lip, hoping he wouldn’t get too angry. You thought since he didn’t ask, it wouldn’t hurt to not tell him. But clearly, it was worrying him.

“Don’t worry!” you told him, trying to cheer him up. “We’ll pass through it really quickly.”

But Kangmin still sighed, drawing his eyebrows together worriedly.

When you got on the ride, you made sure to sit right in the middle and not in the front or back - those spots were for the elite rollercoaster lovers. Kangmin was sitting to your right, and his hands were shaking as he tried to close the belt on the ride.

When the guard came down against your chest, Kangmin hurriedly reached for your hand.

“[y/n], I can’t do this!” he said, loudly.

“Yes you can! We’re doing this together!” you reassured him. When the ride started to move, you heard Kangmin let out a yelp. You were holding onto his hand tightly, squeezing it and rubbing it to help him calm down.

Slowly, the ride began to make its way up the incline and Kangmin was whining.

“This is gonna be fun! This is gonna be fun!” you yelled, but you couldn’t lie, you were also feeling a little nervous.

Kangmin started to scream and squeeze your hand as the rollercoaster rushed downwards. You also screamed, allowing the adrenaline and butterflies that were coursing through you to escape.

It ended so quickly since it was a short ride with only two drops and two loops, but Kangmin was still breathless by the time it ended.

“How was it?” you asked him.

“Terrible but fun,” he spluttered, making you laugh.

When the two of you got off, you gave Kangmin a tight hug. You were proud of him for facing his fears, even if the rollercoaster wasn’t the tallest one.

Walking back out to the park with your hand swinging in his, Kangmin was beaming from ear to ear.

“I did it. I can’t believe I actually did it!” he said excitedly.

“Yes you did,” you said, ruffling his soft hair. “Should we go on the Merry-Go-Round now?”

Kangmin crossed his arms and stood up straight. “No. That ride is too small for me. I think we need to go on that one,” he said, pointing to the tallest ride on his right.

“Are you sure about that?” you asked, making him laugh and shake his head.

“Definitely not. Let’s go to the Merry-Go-Rouuuund!” Kangmin said, suddenly starting to run and dragging you with him.

You were happy to see him more relaxed and cheerful.

The Merry-Go-Round was beautiful and a lot bigger than any you’d ever seen before. It was pink with white and gold patterns drawn all over it. The horses were of the same three colours too.

“I want to go on this one!” Kangmin said, pointing to the tallest horse. You went to sit on the one next to his, but he stopped you.

“I want you to sit with meee,” he whined. He explained how he was strong now that he had went on a scary ride, so he should sit in front and you should sit behind him. He was acting like such a kid, but you didn’t mind it because of how cute he was.

So you sat behind him and wrapped your arms around his stomach. You rested your head on his back and looked to the right, where you could see the rest of the park. As you watched all the people that were walking around, some tired and some excited, you felt Kangmin’s hand on top of yours. He was holding the pole with one hand and holding your hand, which was on his stomach, with his other hand.

“Isn’t it dangerous to only hold the horse with one hand?” you asked him jokingly.

“No. I’m strong, so I can do this,” he said, laughing at how obnoxious he sounded.

When the ride finally started to move, you and Kangmin both shrieked and laughed. The two of you pointed out rides that you wanted to go on next and admired the green trees that were scattered around the park.

With your chin resting now on his shoulder, you stared at Kangmin’s soft cheek. It was right next to your face, so you only realized that you had kissed it when Kangmin’s face turned red and he looked down.

He always looked down when he was shy, and you found it cute. Since the two of you had just started dating, he was still shy whenever you kissed him. It made you feel warm and you’d always feel butterflies in your stomach.

When the Merry-Go-Round came to a stop, the two of you went on a couple more rides before deciding to eat something. When you finally sat down with your food, Kangmin told you how glad he was that he came here with you.

“I’m still scared of heights, but it was kind of fun and maybe one day I won’t be scared of heights anymore?” he said, in-between mouthfuls. You noticed that he had sauce smudged on his cheek, so you grabbed a napkin to wipe it off. Somehow, even that made the poor boy shy, and he looked down as you wiped it off.

“Kangmin,” you said, and he replied with a hum. “Do you feel nervous around me?” you asked him cautiously, not wanting to upset him.

He looked up with his big eyes, making you melt right there in your seat.

“No... No it’s just... You’re so beautiful and every time you get close to me, my heart races and I can’t help it...” he mumbled.

“You’re so cute, Kangmin,” you told him, continuing to eat. “And I like you a lot.”

Your words caused the boy to blush further.

“Why are you doing this to me!” he said suddenly, covering his mouth when he realized how loud he was.

After going on a few more rides, it was getting dark, so the two of you decided to go on one more ride - a Ferris Wheel.

Kangmin was feeling a bit nervous again, but he told you that he would just look at you throughout the ride so he wouldn’t feel too scared.

The Ferris Wheel wasn’t anything huge like the London Eye. It was in the kids’ area, but it still made Kangmin feel a little scared, so you held his hand tightly as you got on. The small space only had room for four people to squeeze in at maximum, so you sat across from Kangmin.

As the ride went up for the first time, you admired the view from above. All of the lights were on and everything looked so pretty. Kangmin was nervously tapping his feet in front of you, so you leaned forward in your seat and held his hands.

“Kangmin, you’re okay, right?” you asked him.

“I’m alright, I just kind of want to get off,” he croaked.

“I know it’s scary, but hold my hand and just admire the view for a second,” you said, trying to encourage him. He squeezed your hand and scanned the view before returning to his original position and nervously tapping his feet again.

You suddenly got an idea. As you reached the top of the Ferris Wheel for the second time, you moved closer to the nervous boy in front of you. He avoided your gaze, staring into the distance behind you, but when you cupped the sides of his face, he was forced to look at you.

“Wha-” he started, but you cut him off by pressing your lips to his for the very first time. It caught Kangmin off-guard, but he closed his eyes. His lips were cold from the chilly, night air, but somehow it felt refreshing. When you pulled away, his fingers shakily touched his lips. You’d never seen him this red before, and it made you blush a little.

When you got off the ride and headed towards the gates to leave, you asked Kangmin what he thought of the Ferris Wheel.

“It was scary but...” he trailed off, remembering your first kiss that happened only a few minutes ago.

You held his hand and tightly squeezed it as you reached the gates, leaving the amusement park. Hopefully, you would be able to come back again soon.

➞ love, it was a fleeting moment where they could feel a sense of belongingness. how does verivery cope up with the fact you are gone?

dongheon: he is tired and perhaps that is an understatement. taking up law school when it isn't even your dream can easily tire out a person after all. he was a filial son, never the one to disobey his parents.

all those expectations makes it understandable that there are days he'd be very burnt out. he supposes coming home to you can make him remember that by the end of the day there was something that makes him know that it was worth it

"i'm home!" he calls but silence is all he receives. ah, thats right you're not there. for someone who knows he should never be wrong how is it that he can't remember you're already gone?

hoyoung: holding on to the memories wasn't a rational thing when he isn't exactly over you but hoyoung didn't want to be rational. he's heart broken, the poor boy didn't need to be rational.

if he had done things differently, would you still be in his arms? he keeps on thinking of the what ifs and everything that might have made you stay.

for a teacher he was being foolish and it didn't help that the children couldn't read the room. they keep on asking about you and he couldn't bring himself to tell his students that he can no longer marry you.

minchan: the day of your break up should have been the day he realized that everything was over but it took him so the long that when you gave him your wedding invitation, it was there the truth finally sunk in.

you could say that he's a masochist when he decided to go to your wedding. you were dazzling in your wedding dress and he could clearly see the love between you and your soon-to-be husband. had you give him that smile on the last days of your relationship?

minchan is truly happy for you, however, he can't help but think that he should have been the man in front of you in that altar.

gyeheon: before his career took off, gyeheon used to sing in cafes. that was how he met you. when everyone was telling him that he's stupid to pursue such dreams, you were there to support him.

messages left on read, missed calls, and an empty apartment. it was as if you never existed but that wasn't the case. you had became the unreachable which was what you feared gyeheon would become once he debuts.

now that he's a popular solo artist who is praised for his vocals and has his face plastered everywhere perhaps by dedicating all his songs to you, he could reach you one last time.

yeonho: some could say that he is a fool for buying flowers, that he is a fool for having a schedule just to visit you but he isn't having any of that. all their words just falls on deaf ears.

he knows that by now he should have moved on already. this was unhealthy for the both you. he should let you go now so that the both of you could continue on without any guilt or regrets. but knowing is different from doing.

yeonho can't bring himself to forget you, he loved you — no, he still loves you and thinks of you — which is why without fail, he always makes sure there are fresh flowers on your grave.

yongseung: he's a brilliant researcher recognized by the academy and it was an achievement by itself, after all the academy has standards hard to reach. he has his future ready and steady and yet he feels as if its all too underwhelming.

he tries to remind himself that this was what he wanted. you were a temporary distraction, a momentary muse. its his research that needs all of his attention. being a genius recognized by the academy and then the world is what he wanted. but he knows that this isn't the case.

yongseung thinks he's selfish for wanting you back in his life and so he buries himself in his research in hopes of forgetting you.

kangmin: everyone gets their heart broken — kangmin knows that and yet he went around with the belief that maybe he's lucky and things won't change. it was there that made everything even more painful.

when you told him that you love him, did you mean it? or was it a deliberate plan made to break his heart? why? why? WHY? he doesn't understand why you can end your relationship that easily.

seeing you with your new boyfriend makes kangmin think that maybe your love for him wasn't even there in the first place.

It was a nice sunny afternoon, not too cold, not too hot. You and Kangmin liked to spend days off at home, in each other's company, but not actively together. You were both lying down on your bed, Kangmin scrolling through his phone, your nose buried in a book. It was peaceful and quiet. You liked these moments with your boyfriend. Even if you didn’t say anything, just having him next to you made any activity one hundred times better.

The feeling of a soft kiss pressed to your cheek was enough to pull your attention away from the book you were reading. You looked to your left at the obvious culprit, but you found him scrolling through his phone as if nothing had happened. You smiled and went back to reading, choosing to ignore the fluttery feeling that developed in your stomach from the mere gesture.

It was peaceful in the room again and you read another 2 pages in silence.

Until you felt another soft kiss landing on your cheek.

You looked over again, quick enough to catch the slight smile on Kangmin’s face. There was no way he could keep pretending as if nothing happened now that you had caught him, yet he continued typing on his phone as if he wasn’t even aware that you were lying next to him.

“Why do you keep kissing my cheek?” You asked, your eyes going back to the page of text, scanning the paragraphs to find where you were. You heard Kangmin shift to his side and presumably turn off his phone. You could see him now lying on his side and looking at you through your peripheral vision.

You looked back at him, maintaining eye contact for a few seconds, silently watching to see who would break out into a smile first. It ended up being you, Kangmin following suit a second later. He leaned in a bit and pressed another, longer kiss in the same spot before answering your question.

“Skin care.”

You immediately smiled at his response. Kangmin always had the cutest explanations to everything he did. The stuffed animal was clearly lonely, and that was why he had to carry it around everywhere. The salt and pepper always had to be put on eggs together because they were a couple— you couldn’t have one without the other.

His little explanations weren’t even the tip of the iceberg for how Kangmin’s brain worked, but you loved to find out the more time you spent with him. And each time you just felt yourself falling deeper and deeper.

You both giggled as he continued to press kisses all over your face, continuing the delicate “skin care” that your skin so clearly needed. It felt nice to have his lips on your skin. His touch was gentle, as was everything about Kangmin. The kisses were light and fleeting, but still long enough to cause butterflies to erupt in your tummy.

He was about to press another kiss to your forehead when you stopped him with a finger resting against his lips.

“I didn’t get this spot yet, though.” He whispered, smiling lovingly. You could feel his minty breath fanning over your face as he was still so close to you.

“It’s your turn.” You countered, pressing your first soft kiss to his cheek with an airy laugh. Suddenly, the tables were turned, and you were the one giving the kisses, and Kangmin the one receiving them— butterflies forming in his stomach and his heart racing just like you.

You were trying your best to stay quiet and not let out a sound. You didn’t want to wake up your boyfriend who was sleeping soundly next to you, and he was a light sleeper. But the sharp pain of your cramps was making that a difficult task and you couldn’t stop a small whimper from leaving your mouth.

You clutched your stomach tighter, trying to put pressure on it or squish a pillow over it to see if it would somehow subdue the pain, but nothing ever worked. You curled up into an even tighter ball on the bed, breathing steadily as the pain pounded in your stomach repeatedly. There was no way you would be able to get to sleep tonight.

Another gasp escaped your lips and you scrunched up your face in a wince because you knew there was no chance your boyfriend wasn’t going to wake up after that.

And, sure enough, a gentle arm wrapped around your waist, and you relaxed a little as soon as there was skin-to-skin contact between you two.

“Is the pain that bad?” He mumbled, and you knew he was frowning and feeling awful about it.

You shook your head, “I’m fine. Don’t worry, baby.”

He hugged you closer to him, warm breath hitting your neck as he snuggled into the crook of it, “You can’t fool me, Y/n. You’re a terrible liar.” He whispered and smiled.

“I’m sorry.”

“Why are you sorry? You’re the one in pain so I should be the one sorry.” He said.

“It’s not like you caused this pain… And I woke you up. I’m sorry.” You turned, now facing him, your noses almost touching. He looked at you with soft loving eyes as his hand still rested on your stomach, providing some small comfort.

“Shh…” Kangmin lifted his free hand, finger reaching out to be placed over your mouth, “Do you want a heat pack?” You nodded slowly, wide eyes squinting into an eye smile and your lips curving up at your boyfriend’s caring actions. Even if it was almost 3 am, he was still ready to get you whatever you needed for the pain.

He came back quickly with a heat pack and some pain medication. His hair was all messy from sleep, and he looked so cosy in his soft pyjamas, but you couldn’t mistake the tiredness in his face, and it made you feel horrible all over again.

He sat back down on the bed, passing over the heat pack. You placed one of the pills in your mouth and Kangmin quickly passed you some water. “Thank you,” You mumbled with slightly pink cheeks. This wasn’t the first time this had happened, and you still found it a bit embarrassing. If only your cramps weren’t this bad, you wouldn’t have to bother your boyfriend with it.

There was a pause as Kangmin slid in between the sheets again and you situated the heat pack and found a comfortable position again. You curled up again, facing away from your boyfriend as embarrassment still burned in your face.

Kangmin sighed softly, grabbing one of your hands and pulling you back to his chest. Your face turned a brighter shade of red from his actions.

“You know I don’t mind, right?” He whispered into your ear, kissing it right after.

“Huh?”

“Taking care of you. I don’t mind.” He hugged you a bit tighter, the warmth from his body warming you up as well, “You take care of me all the time, so it’s the least I can do.”

“I don’t take care of you at 3 am, though.” You argued, though most of it went into your pillow as you still refused to turn around.

Kangmin laughed, “But you would. If I was in pain in the middle of the night, you would take care of me.” You stayed silent. He was right. Of course he was right. Kangmin was almost always right.

“You’re embarrassed, aren’t you? That’s why you won’t show me your pretty face?” He asked, coaxing you to turn around, and you finally did. He kissed your forehead, then your nose and cheeks, and finally your lips.

“Get some sleep, baby, I’m sure you got less than I did.” He said. You nodded and closed your eyes, letting the tiredness wash over you fully. Kangmin stroked your hair and hugged you close so you could feel his heartbeat. He started singing the acoustic version of ‘Super Special’ in a whisper and you smiled.

Verivery reacts to your father finally accepting them!

Your father’s denial to accept your relationship/engagement with him had definitely been surprising, shocking to say the least. He had always treated you well, never had you ever been dissapointed by your boyfriend and since you only spoke good things about him, you had expected your family to welcome him as quickly as you fell in love with him.

Your father refused to accept him, claiming that his fame would get between the two of you one day. It wasn’t until he finally realized that your boyfriend cared more about you than his own popularity that he finally decided to accept both your wills to stay together.

“You need to go to the studio Dongheon, you can’t just vanish from the group like that, I’ll be alright” You muttered looking down at him, laying on the uncomfortable hospital bed as the nurse changed some of your IVs.

The doctor said there was nothing wrong with you, stress or your previous fatigue might have been what made you pass out yesterday morning but your boyfriend refused to move from your side even when the problem could be easily solve with some good sleep and warm food. “Stop laughing, you’re supposed to be eating” He whined smiling, clearly amused by the situation too. “Babe!” He scolded when you only laughed harder, leaning back against the stiff bed.

“The plane goes fuuuu...” You repeated breathlessly, clapping as you couldn't stop laughing "I'm sorry" You apologized, reaching up to wipe a tear away, keeping your eyes on him "It was too unexpected but so funny"

"It's nice to see you smile like that again" The sound of your father's voice made Minchan a bit tense, he cleared his throat and sat up straighter, trying to give him a good impression "Thanks for keeping an eye on her, son" He said reaching out to pat Minchan's back. "Good to know there's somebody else keeping an eye on her"

"Dad" You whined, embarrased at his words.

Although to be honest, Minchan couldn't be happier at this moment. He finally felt accepted by your father and that's the best thing that could have ever happened to him.

"What happened!? Are you okay!?" You father rushed into the emergency waiting room, breathless, eyes going from you to Gyehyeon and then back to you nervously "How did it even happened?"

"We were just standing on the sidewalk, I was talking with a friend and this guy that was cycling didn't see me" You started explaining, holding your boyfriend's hand gently, squeezing it once as you rubbed the back of it with your thumb "Gyehyeon just pushed me out of the way and took the whole impact" Feeling bad for him, yoy rested your head on his shoulder softly, hoping you could just take his pain away.

Gyehyeon smiled softly, kissing your head "I'm alright, it wasn't your fault" He muttered against your hair, feeling slightly sore.

"Thank you" You father said looking at him sincerely, sitting down besides him as he also awaited for the doctor to come with the results of the tests they had ran on your boyfriend "For keeping her safe"

"No need to thank me" He replied feeling slightly shy but also happy because for once, he seemed to be getting on your dad's good side "I will always keep her safe" Gyehyeon smiled at him before pulling your hand up to kiss your knuckles.

Yeonho sighed relieved when you managed to fall asleep as soon as your temperature decreased a little. With slow and gentle movements, he changed the wet cloth on your forehead right before the doorbell rang.

Thinking it would be one of the guys, Yeonho opened it without any hesitation, his smile instantly twitching when instead of one of his friends, the sight of your father welcomed him.

"Oh hi" He said bowing politely, stepping aside to let him into the apartment "Your daughter just fell asleep, she didn't get much rest last night"

"Thanks for taking care of her Yeonho" He said sincerely, resting his hand on Yeonho's shoulder. The sympathetic look in his eyes was totally new, your boyfriend was used to cold glares and mistrust "I really appreciate it"

"It's alright, I...You don't really need to-"

"Why don't you get some rest too? You look exhausted and definitely deserve it, I'll keep an eye on her" Yeonho sighed relieved, nodding quietly but happily.

He didn't know why or how, but your father seemed to finally like him.

"If you hadn't been there we might have lost her"

Yongseung shook his head quietly, still holding onto your hand gently as you slept. He refused to let you go, you've suffered a pretty strong allergic reaction to something the two of you had been eating and if Yongseung hadn't realized it while you were cuddling with him, it might had been too late when you arrived to the hospital.

"It's alright, we were just lucky" Yongseung said quietly, kissing your hand as your father patted his back.

"You saved my daughter today, I really appreciate that and I will never forget what you did” Your father muttered, squeezing his shoulder appreciatively “Thank you son”

Yongseung nodded quietly with a small smile on his lips, your father finally accepted him, he couldn’t ask for anything else.

“Won’t you get in trouble for that?”

Your father’s question made the two of you sigh softly, of course being slightly rude to some fans would get Kangmin in trouble but it had been justly done because they had been harassing the two of you for your entire date, following and taking pictures when he had kindly asked them not to for a couple of times.

“I’ll deal with it” Kangmin said quietly, leaning back against the passenger’s seat of your dad’s vehicle, running his fingers through his hair “I asked them to not take picture of us, I don’t mind it but I know she doesn’t enjoy it” He explained referring to you “That’s why I was so strict about it”

Your father nodded quietly, looking at your boyfriend when he stopped at a red light “It’s okay, you really did nothing wrong” He muttered, slightly surprising the two of you “You were just taking care of your girlfriend and I really appreciate it Kangmin” Your boyfriend smiled shyly at his words, reaching up to scratch the back part of his neck “It shows you’re a trust worthy person”

Verivery reaction to finding out their sister is bi!

The coming out day had finally arrive and you weren’t going to delay this moment anymore. Although you knew that he, out of all people, would be totally understanding and accepting, you couldn’t help but feel slightly nervous.

You needed to tell him, it was going to be alright. Your brother had always been by your side no matter what and that wasn’t going to change now for sure.

“So, what was what you wanted to talk about?”

You looked at your brother Dongheon, sitting on your bed with his legs crossed as he looked at you expectantly. He knew whatever the news were, it would be something important so he was just trying to keep himself calm and quiet to not pressure you.

“Uh...Well, you know today is the coming out day, right?” You asked, standing in front of him as you fidgeted with the hem of your shirt.

“Is it?” He said hesitant, not really knowing where this conversation was going. When you nodded he shrugged “Didn’t really know, to be honest” When you didn’t say anything else, Dongheon leaned closer, hugging one of your pillows “So....”

“So I’m bisexual” You suddenly blurted out, eyes glued to his face to watch his expression.

Dongheon stayed quiet for a second, waiting to see if you had anything else to say “And?” He asked, quietly laughing at your surprised expression “For God’s sake, I’m not going to think differently of you because of it idiot” He stood up, opening his arms for you “Come here, you just earned a hug”

“What are you doing?”

The sound of your brother’s voice made you jump surprised, head instantly turning his way just to find him standing there by the bathroom door. You’ve been pacing for almost five minutes straight in front of his bedroom’s door, trying to calm yourself down and prepare a mental speech for coming out to him but everything had been useless now that he had found you right there.

“Nothing” You instantly lied, making him arch one of his eyebrows.

“You don’t pace in front of a door for five minutes for nothing” He said opening his bedroom door, walking in, assuming you would follow “Did you get in trouble?” He asked, sitting down by his desk, staring at you.

“I’m bisexual” You went straight to the point, observing how your brother’s eyes went wide in seconds.

“What?” He asked, thinking he might have heard you wrong.

“I’m bisexual” You repeated terrified, relaxing a little when your brother simply smiled, reaching out to ruffle your hair.

“Okay, there’s nothing wrong with that” He said quietly but softly, making you feel as if a heavy weight had been lifted from your chest “You’re still my little sister”

“Oh, so you made a cake?” Minchan walked happily into the kitchen, sitting on one of the stools as he watched while you finished decorating the cake you’ve been baking for most of the afternoon “Why is it for me though? You know I’m on a diet” He complained pouting, looking at you when you turned around.

“Because I wanted to tell you something” You explained, holding the cake close to you, not ready to give it out yet “But I didn’t know how so I made a cake and wrote it on here” Slowly, you placed the baked good in front of him, looking expectanly.

Minchan glanced down at the cake, a soft frown appearing on his face “Lauxesib mi?” He asked confused “Did you write it in another language to make it more fun?”

“Minchan, turn it around” You laughed quietly, reaching out to turn the cake so he could read it properly.

“Oh” He muttered reading the message “OH...OH MY GOD, I’M SUCH AN IDIOT” The two of you laughed incredibly loud before Minchan reached out to pat your back lovingly “Happy coming out day sis, thanks for sharing it with me”

“Why do you need to record this?” He asked with a soft frown, looking at you as he sat down on your chair, eyes following your nervous pacing before he glanced back at your phone.

“Because I want to record your reaction” You muttered, biting one of your nails as you stood in front of him.

“I already know what you’re going to tell me, isn’t today the Coming Out day or something like that?” He asked with a small smile, playing with his sweater paws quietly, leaning back against his chair comfortably.

“How did you-?”

“Well, I kinda had the feeling that you were gay but then you started dating this really annoying guy that I really didn’t like becau-”

“Gyehyeon?” You interrupted him, your stomach swirling nervously when he looked up to meet your gaze.

“You’re bisexual, right? Which is something that I find really normal because I don’t care who you date as long as it makes you happy” He sweetly said, making you tear up.

“You’re an idiot” You whispered, reaching up to clean your watery eyes with your hoodie’s sleeves.

“I know you love me” He replied standing up, getting closer to give you a hug.

“It’s not that easy? What if he gets all weirded out?” Yeonho couldn’t help but frown when he heard those words, he peeked into your room, his eyes watching curiously as you paced around your room like a caged lion, phone pressed against your ear.

“Hello? Are you okay?” He asked, probably too quiet because you didn’t even turn around to acknowledge him. Yeonho simply stood there, waiting for you to see him, genuinely worried for you.

“I can’t just come into his room and say ‘Hey bro, happy coming out day, I’m bisexual” You screeched, missing the way Yeonho just bit onto his lower lip to keep his laugh quiet. You just came out to him without even realizing it and despite this being slightly serious and emotional, your brother couldn’t help but be incredibly amused by the situation.

“But you just did?” He asked, this time loud enough for you to hear “And I’m not weirded out by it just please, don’t steal all the girls from me” Yeonho jokingly said, chuckling as he walked out of your room.

“Yah! Yeonho!”

Yongseung had been sitting in front of you for ten minutes straight, patiently and quietly waiting for you to break whatever news you apparently had to tell. He watched you fidget on your seat, rubbing your hands against your jeans nervously and avoiding eye contact with him. Whatever bomb you were going to drop it seemed to be important for you, something small wouldn’t make you this anxious.

“Spit it out already, you’re making me get all nervous” Yongseung said after twenty minutes, clapping his hands together to get your attention “Whatever it is I’m sure we’ll get through this together, it’s going to be okay (Y/N)”

You looked at your brother quietly, biting onto your lower lip before you finally decided to speak “I’m bisexual”

“You’re bisexual” He repeated, nodding and looking at you as if you awaited to say something else “So? Am I supposed to do or say something or what?”

“You’re not...Mad?” You asked looking at him, eyes watering a little “Isn’t it weird?”

“You sleeping with socks on it’s weird, being bisexual isn’t” Yongseung and you laughed at his words, your eyes turning slightly pink when he reached out to ruffled your hair “Thanks for telling me although you’re still the same person to me, bisexual or not”

“I’m bisexual”

A long silence invaded your brother’s room as the two of you sat on his bed, facing each other. Your fingers nervously played with your hoodie’s paws and Kangmin simply tilted his head, like a puppy who wasn’t understanding what its owner was telling them.

“I know” He simply replied, surprising you.

“What do you mean you know?” You asked frowning, staring at him in desbelief.

“I follow you on Twitter! Didn’t you think I wouldn’t see all those tweets about bisexual people and coming out day? I just assumed you wouldn’t tell me like this because you knew I knew” Kangmin chuckled, leaning back against the headboard as he looked at you amused.

“So you’ve known all this time?” You couldn’t believe it, you’ve been unable to sleep for weeks due to the thought of having to tell him you were bisexual and he already knew it? “Why didn’t you say something?”

“Honestly?” He asked, you nodded quietly, getting frustrated by the smirk that pulled up his lips “It was kind of amusing watching you being so nervous and anxious over something”

You wanted to kill him.

Verivery reacts to playing with your little sibblings!

A/N: This is my very first work for Verivery so I hope I do it well! Sorry if I make any mistakes when it comes to the member’s personalities, I just got in the fandom! ^^’

When the time of making him and your family meet came, you couldn’t help but feel extremely anxious. He was the right guy though, you’ve found out long ago that he was the one for you, however, silly questions such us “What if my parents doesn’t like him?” “What if my little sibblings totally hate him?” kept popping up in your mind as you drove to your childhood home.

Later you would find out that worrying about those things had been really stupid, everyone loved him, specially your little brother and sister.

The sound of piano keys randomly being pressed was what awakened you from your sleep and even though you’ve tried to go back to dreamland, it was the sound of laughter erupting from downstairs what increased your curiosity enough to get yourself out from the comfort of your bed sheets and drag your still sleepy body downstairs.

The closer you walked to the living room, the clearer the voices became and a bright smile made its way up to your lips when you realized it was Dongheon the one that was entertainning your sibblings. Your brother and sister weren’t easy to handle when they were bored but he somehow had managed to sit them down on the piano bench, with him between them, and was probaby trying to teach them how to play one of the easiest songs he knew.

“What are you guys playing?” You asked amused, giggling when the three of them turned to you with smiles on their faces and hands on the keys, the little kids giggled and Dongheon chuckled surprising you.

“We’re trying to compose something” He confessed, giggling quietly when your sibblings nodded strongly.

“Sit down there! Let us play it for you!” Your sister exclaimed, pressing more keys randomly.

“Woah! That sounds so cool! We should add that to our song!” Your brother said, tilting his body foward so he could look at your sister before he pressed more keys, playing as loud as he could.

When your eyes met Dongheon’s, the two of you bit down onto your lower lip to not start laughing. Sure the situation seemed a bit chaotic but it was the sweetest chaos you’ve ever seen.

“It’s so cute!” Your sister’s excited shriek made you giggle as you watched her play with your brother, Hoyoung and the puppy the two of you had decided to adopt a few days ago.

The shiba puppy you’ve named Kimchi, bounced between your sibblings, trying to get her little paws onto their knees so she could stand on her two legs and steal the balls they held onto their little hands. Hoyoung glanced at you from where he was sitting, a sweet, loving smile on his lips when he saw how calm and happy you felt know that your entire family had accepted him.

“Hyung, can she do any tricks?” Your brother asked, pulling Hoyoung’s sleeve gently so his attention would be back on him and your dog.

“Oppa! Do you think if we hide the ball she will find it?” Your sister joined the conversation, sitting down next to him, giggling when Kimchi approached her and started barking playfully.

“Maybe, I think she’s a bit too young to do some tricks though” Hoyoung replied with a small smile, looking at your sibblings “But, when she grows up we’ll bring her over again so you guys can teach her, deal?” Both of the kids nodded obediently at him without complainning. Kimchi jumped onto your boyfriend’s lap, getting comfortable on his thighs, she was obviously exhausted after so much playing.

“So cute” Both kids cooed, crouching down so they could watch how the puppy slowly fell asleep.

“Shh” Hoyoung indicated, placing a finger on his lips as he smiled “Let’s let her rest for a little”

“How did you do that?”

You couldn’t help but laugh as you watched how your sibblings looked amazed at Michan while he did some yoyo tricks for them. You stood besides him, already knowing he was good at it but still lowkey impressed at how good he was with it.

“Want me to teach you two?” Michan offered, yoyo still going up and down on the thin rope he held “I tried to teach your sister once but she’s horrible” He added, laughing when you nudged him “She almost broke our tv”

“Noona!”

“Unnie!”

Both kids looked at you in a mix of amusement and shock, not really knowing if they should truly believe what your boyfriend was telling them. When you closed your eyes embarrased and nodded, confirming Michan’s words, the kids laughed with him, making you giggle quietly. No matter how embarrased you felt about it, you had to admit the situation had been kind of fun.

“That’s why we decided to play outside this time” Michan said handing the kids the yoyo, placing one of his arms over your shoulders to pull you closer to his side and kiss your forehead “Let’s see what you guys can do first without my help!”

“DAEBAK!”

Your two little sibblings squealed as Gyehyeon showed them some martial art tricks he had been learning during quarantine, he stood there with a huge smile, kind of happy that they found it amazing instead of boring.

“Oppa, do it again!”

“Yah, I want you to teach me how to do that kick hyung!”

You chuckled as they both attached themselves to your boyfriend’s legs, holding onto his shirt so he would pay more attention to their requests. Your eyes met his and his exhaustion vanished as soon as he saw the happiness in your eyes, he knew how worried you’ve been the entire day so to see you being all calm and relaxed for once was enough for Gyehyeon to play for a little longer with the two kids.

“Okay! Get in position!” He said, smile getting bigger when they attempted to copy his movements, both of them were the cutest kids he had ever seen in his life “Careful not to fall down or accidentally hit each other, okay? This is not to hurt people”

“Just to look cool!” Your sister added cutely, making Gyehyeon nod.

“And to get all the girls!” Your little brother added making you and him laugh as hard as ever.

“Yah, so pretty!”

Yeonho smiled while crouching in the middle of your parent’s living room, holding his phone as if he was a paparazzi snapping hundreds of pictures of your sibblings who, apparently, were either famous or walking the New York most famous catwalk.

“That’s it! Strike your cutest pose!” He exclaimed excited, smiling even more when your little sister giggled, posing awkwardly since she had always felt incredibly shy around your boyfriend “So adorable, oh my god” He muttered, looking back at you as he placed his hand on his chest, your eyes meeting his.

“The cutest” You replied winking at your sister right before you saw your little brother come in by the corner of your eye “You look so awesome! Like a rap star” You exclaimed excited, making him smile proudly as he walked closer and closer to Yeonho, taking his time so he could take pictures of him.

Yeonho couldn’t help but chuckle as your brother tried striking swag poses, placing his hands in weird positions and making strange faces that apparently would look cool. Yeonho and you would definitely have fun watching all those pictures tonight before going to bed.

“You guys were the best photo models I’ve ever met” Your boyfriend confessed, making your sibblings squeal happily.

“How are you supposed to solve it?” Your brother asked, turning the cubik’s cube around in his hands as he inspected it carefully, watching it with hesitation, trying to guess if Yongseung was just messing with him or not.

“You take all the stickers and place them on the right places!” Your sister intervened, making Yongseung laugh as he shook his head.

“Although that is a smart strategy, you can’t really do that” He mumbled, carefully taking the rubik’s cube in his hand before he started turning pieces around, switching colors and mixing them with every movement “It is considered cheating” Your sister slightly pouted, Yongseung reached up and bopped her nose to make her smile again.

“Can you solve it?” Your brother asked, his eyes frozen on your boyfriend’s hands as he skillfully moved the toy around.

“Give me five minutes and I’ll solve it” He shrugged, moving to the side to leave some space on the couch for you to sit with the three of them.

“Five? Give him two and he’ll be done” You retorted scoffing, a smile on your face when your sibbling’s eyes opened as wide as plates.

“Daaaaebak!”

You were wrong when you thought your sibblings were the only tireless people in this world. As you watched Kangmin ran around the backyard kicking a ball minute after minutes, you confirmed he was also one of them. You knew he liked soccer, he was always up for a match with his friends but to see him running around non-stop with your sibblings for almost fifteen minutes straight was amazing to say the least.

“GOAAAAL!!” The kids shouted when Kangmin purposefully fell down so they could score a point. You couldn’t help but chuckled as they hugged each other, ignoring his fake shocked face.

“You okay!?” You asked him from your chair, biting your lower lip to not laugh as he nodded with a small smile, dusting off his clothes as he stood up.

“They’re winning though” He pouted, ignoring your sibbling’s amused snickers as they looked at him “Join my teeaaam, pretty pleeaaase?” Kangmin asked trying to be cute so you wouldn’t reject him.

“I don’t knooooow?” You replied chuckling, not moving from your chair.

“Noonaaaaa, unniiiieeee” The kids whined, pouting at you too.

“Okay, okay, I’ll join you guys” You huffed, standing up from your chair, definitely not ready to get all sweaty.

“YAAAAASSS” The three of them laughed before running away.
