I wrote a Bachelorette AU for Prongsfoot/Bambibelle!

Summary: Sirius and James are both cast as contestants on the Bachelorette. Although their stated goal was to woo Lily and capture her heart, they don’t quite manage it. They fall for each other instead.

Words: 14,944

Rated G, No Archive Warnings Apply, Alternating POV

Excerpt:

There were only a few gentlemen present so far. Most of them were preening for the cameras, not talking to anyone but just trying to appear as appealing as they could to win screentime.

Two seemed to be jostling for the attention of one camera in particular, and Sirius had to bite back a laugh.

Only one of the young men had a remotely genuine expression on his face. The smile that crossed his face at the sight of Sirius was nothing short of charming, and lit the room up. To hell with the preening, what could it hurt to go over and say hi? Sirius didn’t need to make himself seem sexier, he already had that in the bag.

As he walked towards that smile, he took in the rest of the man. He had wild, disorganized wavy black hair. Sirius would never let his own hair get that chaotic, but somehow it worked. He had on large round glasses that emphasized his eyes, in a way that was entirely flattering. It was a good look on him. He was also wearing the requisite suit, and it was tailored immaculately to his frame, emphasizing that underneath a sculpted athletic body must be hiding.

Sirius wondered if there was a pool and they’d ever be in bathing suits. He was curious what was hiding underneath, so sue him.

As he got closer, the man’s deep brown eyes twinkled in the lights.

“I’m Sirius,” Sirius said without preamble when he’d come to a stop, “Sirius Black.”

“James,” the man - James - said with a grin, “James Potter.”

Would you like to tell what you like about Remus/Lily and how do you see their relationship? I am intrigued, I don't know other people who would ship them. :D

Honestly, I prefer the angsty version of Lily being with James and Remus pining after her, or possibly mutual pining but they can't do anything because of James. I also like the conflict of Remus liking his best friend’s crush in the universes where Lily and James aren't together.

I have written this drabble and this ficlet if you want to take a look at the angst possibilities. I have also written a fic in which they are happily together, but even then Remus has yet to tell James he's dating his ex-wife.

I do also like them when they're just cute together and there's no angst in sight, but for me the best flavour of remily is angst. I'm also very bad at explaining why I like certain pairings lol, so I'm not sure how well I answered your question.

Lily and the Marauders

Lily & James

James is an annoying and arrogant brat, that’s what she thought. James is rude, loud and just too full of himself, that’s what she thought. But she was wrong. James is indeed a bit annoying and he can be loud and rude but he’s also loving and righteous. He cares so much about his friends who are more like a family. And he even cares about someone he never talked to just because they were crying. When realising he was so full of love she just couldn’t hold back loving him. And she died loving him.

Lily & Remus

They are so close. Their friendship is so deep and they just love each other so much, trust each other so much. It didn’t take Lily too long to find out he was a werewolf and she had an eye on him every other time. She was worried when he came back to school with deep wounds and couldn’t go to the lessons. Even before their friendship. Both restless and their heads full of thoughts went to the common room. That was the night everything changed. From then on they often sat together, drinking tea and just spending each other company. And they got so close, trusted each other. And she died trusting him.

Lily & Sirius

Lily thought Sirius was just the same annoying, arrogant brat James was. He was in one way or another. But when she saw him with Regulus she could relate so much. They bonded over family since both had troubles with their siblings. Sirius wasn’t the one she was talking about other things much, but he always knew when she was down and tried to brighten her day, to change her mood and make her smile. He just knew what to do even though he didn’t know what was going on with her. He became part of her family. And she died knowing he would always be a part of her family.

Lily & Peter

Even before there was James or Sirius Lily started talking with Peter. They didn’t have much in common and so nobody would have thought they would become so close. But one day Peter tried to calm Mary with a hot cocoa topped with cream, cinnamon and according to him some ingredients he learned from his mom. It wasn’t something very special but Lily could see how much he cared about Mary and also she found out he was very good in cooking and mixing new flavours. And they talked a lot about it and later Peter even mixed some food together for Harry. And he fed him and Lily would never have thought he could betray them while smiling at Harry with so much love in his eyes. And she died knowing she had been wrong.

Lily/Remus?

"We need more of it"

You know, I don’t imagine this couple happening in James Potter’s vincinity. From the events of the books he likely would pressure Remus to let Lily to him. There was a post discussing it, where deathdaydungeon contributed/answered a post.

I see quite a bit of scenarios for this couple to happen. Remus acts as an intermediate between Lily and James, but it happens Lily is only interested in Remus, and Remus does feel wonderful with her, so their relationship become secret and it takes 7th year to arrive for the rest of the marauders to learn what’s really happening, because Lily won’t bend to Potter’s wishes. And they have to go away, because Sirius is far more loyal to Potter and of course, Peter seeks the strongest bully. It’s also possible they manage to hide their affair completely, but because Potter is suspicious, he starts to distrust Lupin and Lupin is, you know, less invited, less worthy of attention, less prone to receive stares... and he might feel guilty.

Those are the scenarios where Lupin stays as a follower and not as his own leader. And that’s when the real power of the couple stands: Lupin has enough of the marauders after all, and he sees the friendship between Lily and Severus much calmer, saner, with more trust, more acknowledgement he too can make choices, and no bullying. To do that he has to stray away from the marauders and possibly oppose them. That’s where Lupin grows a backbone. And since Severus isn’t interested in that kind of relationship with Lily... well, if we were in a OT3 maybe but I guess it’s not asked here... two sweet-hearted-trauma-hardened halfbloods for the muggleborn...

Anyway, I feel like this ship has lots of potential. We need fics about it. It’s certainly a calm ship with no violence. No, problem is that Lily seems to want a strong man with confidence and she might get frustrated with Lupin, who has to grow and might become angry with the amount of pressure and the confusion of being Lily’s lover, after all, in Potter’s place. And of course Lily would accept his disease, well as long as he takes responsibility for it, and who knows, she might be able to brew Wolfsbane as well.

In any case, for Luly/Remily to work, in what I see is the most canon coherent, there has to be some fleeing away from the marauders, because Potter will 100% represent a menace to Lupin and Sirius & Peter will follow. Characters have to do what’s "forbidden", though it’s not as rebellious as Snily.

Anyway, the two are not my absolute fav characters... but this is WAY better than Jily imo. I don’t recall Lupin being very toxic to Lily, except when he said that she couldn’t have hated Potter if she dated him starting 7th year...

Oh, and Lily definitely "wears the pants" in this ship. I’d read it, if only there’s a bit of good Sevy story in it, because I seem unable to read a fic if there isn’t a Snape I love in it.

How Not to Go About an Important Inspection in which after a devastating betrayal the crew of the USS Bifrost is docked for repairs and the crew just wants to go back to being a normal family but Command is insisting on an inspection to ensure nothing so…drastic occurs again.

Symbiotic in which certain Vampires have a vemon that leaves with victims craving getting their blood drunken. Deceit, one of these Victims, continues to burn bridges because that’s easier than admitting he might need help dealing with this.

1. What was their first impression of each other?

Both of them were extremely anxious tbh! Reggie was very excited but also anxious about someone being able to see him and Emily is just like having a panic attack for the entire chapter when they first interact

but once they actually like talk and aren’t anxious anymore, Reggie thinks that Emily is super talented but seems really sad and Emily thinks that Reggie just feels like sunshine

2. What is their ship name?

Remily!!

3. Describe their relationship dynamic.

I wrote a full essay on them here

4. What was their relationship like before they got together?

Really sweet! They become good friends fast because of the band and with Luke and Julie always writing together and Alex always with Willie, the two of them spend a lot of time together! There’s also a scene (one of my favourites) where Emily has a panic attack and runs off and Reggie is the one who follows her and talks her through it and becomes the second person she’s ever talked to about her brother (though she doesn’t mention that it’s Luke)

5. How would they describe each other?

Emily would focus on how Reggie makes her feel, that he feels like sunshine and warmth and safety and that his smile lights up a room, and Reggie would focus on how talented Emily is and how much she cares about everyone around her and puts everyone else’s needs before her own and how that concerns him sometimes!

6. What do they love about each other?

Honestly everything! idk how to list all of the different things oof

7. What do they have in common?

They’re both rays of sunshine, they hide everything under an illusion of optimism, they’re in a band together, they both secretly love country music

8. What are some differences between them?

...Reggie is dead

They have very different home dynamics, they play different instruments, Reggie is a lot more open with his friends than Emily is (though she opens up more throughout canon), and Reggie has a crush on Luke lmao

9. What made them realize they were in love?

For Emily it was at the Orpheum when Reggie showed up onstage, and for Reggie it was when all of them were able to hug at the very end of ep 9

10. What are their love languages?

talking shit about the new star wars trilogy

but also it’s a lot of words of affirmation and quality time!!! And when Reggie becomes tangible to her it’s also lots of physical touch!

11. Do they get married? Who proposes and how?

They probably don’t on account of Reggie being dead but in theory I could see Reggie proposing with a serenade!

12. What would happen if they never met?

i mean for reggie it would just be canon tbh, for emily if she never met reggie it would mean that she never met any of the boys and well... Her depression would get worse, she wouldn’t open up to Julie & Flynn about her brother, and overall it would just be a lot worse for her

13. Who dies first? How does the other one react?

I mentioned it earlier but Reggie running after Emily when she has a panic attack

There’s some overall confusion about how the ghost thing works but everyone who knows them both is supportive!

Emily introduces Reggie to lots of country music that he missed and it ends up with the others walking into the studio to find them dancing around and singing along and laughing and just being really soft and happy together

18. Describe or write a really angsty scene!

oof I don’t want to go into detail bc spoilers but the scene at the orpheum where she and Julie think that the boys have completely stopped existing is absolutely heart-wrenching for me I’m so sorry babies you don’t deserve that

19. Talk about a headcanon you’ve never talked about before.

I mean @randomfandoming1 knows literally every headcanon I have for them but one that I’ve never talked about publicly before...

20. What does a typical date look like for them?

Before Reggie becomes visible/tangible it’s mostly just hanging out in the garage or at Emily’s park or at the beach, but when he does become tangible it’s lots of fun at fairs/amusement parks, concerts, road trips, and still just lots of hanging out and movie nights!

21. What’s a really significant moment in their relationship?

Again, the scene where Reggie runs after her when she has the panic attack! No one has ever done that for her before and she’s never let anyone see her with her walls so down, and she tells him things that she’s never told anyone before

In The Dark Sides’ House:

Virgil put down his phone, his face blushing, heart pounding. He had just been texting Logan and he came clean and admitted that he likes Logan. It turned out, Logan had those same feelings. They had a date scheduled for that Saturday night. Exactly 2 days, 4 hours, 6 minutes, and 1 second away. He decided to tell Dee, because he was the honorary father of the Dark Sides.

“Dee! I finally got a date! I’m going to Thomas’ Diner on Saturday with Logan!”

“Logan? You know he’s one of those fucking stuck-up Light Sides! Go out with someone like us. A badass Dark Side. I bet you that kid, Patton put him up to it. Thinks it’s funny playing with my son?” “I’m going over and giving him a piece of my mind.”

“Dad! It was really Lo. And he actually wants to date me. And I want to date him. And the whole reason I work at Mind Palace Museum is to integrate the Dark and Light Sides! Well, work starts soon. I’ll be working with my DATE all day. And there’s nothing you can fucking do about it.”

In The Light Sides’ House:

Virgil’s was Logan’s first real crush. Well, real crush. On a good person. Not his ex-boyfriend. So, he was ecstatic when he found out Virgil felt that what about him. The first thing he thought of was telling Patton.

“Patton. An attractive boy has asked me on a date. We will be meeting at Thomas’ Diner on Sanders Street in 2 days, 4 hours, 6 minutes, and 1 second.”

“Yay! This will be your first date since-“

“I ask you not to mention my former boyfriend.”

“Okay! But, who is this mystery guy?!?”

“...Virgil?”

“I forbid you from going on that date! A Dark Side? Again? I can’t believe you’ll go back to a Dark Side after... But you cannot see that horrible kid!”

“Dad. I have had a crush? Is that the correct usage? On Virgil for a long time now. He also works at the museum. I feel that as an adult I can choose who I date, and I choose Virgil. I didn’t like it when you started dating Roman, but I’ve come around. I hope you will with Virgil and I. Now I have to go to work. ”

The Day Of Virgil And Logan’s Date:

In The Dark Sides’ House:

Virgil walked into the kitchen in a clean hoodie (Which made it obvious that he wanted to impress Logan. He never cleaned his hoodie.)

“Virge. As your dad, I demand you stay and help Remus with whatever the fuck he is doing. You can’t go out with Logan”

“But, your not my dad. And Remus is at his job. I’m gonna go on that date. I’ll show you.”

In The Light Sides’ House:

Logan came downstairs in his classic black button down, black slacks, and navy blue neck tie, but he was also wearing light makeup, obviously applied by Roman. Patton was torn between anger and excitement. He hated the idea of him dating Virgil, but his best friend was so damn adorable.

“Dad, can you drive me to Thomas’ Diner? I would like to be punctual for my date.”

“No. I will not take you to see that Dark Side.”

“Dad. He is my date. I have given you 2 days, 3 hours, 47 minutes and 14 seconds to realize that you don’t have control over who I date. Now, let me hangout withthe boy I have liked for over a year. Fuck you dad.“

“He’s going to be the same. Pretend to love you, get you to trust him, and then tear you down. And I heard you curse.“

Later That Day:

At Thomas’ Diner:

Logan entered the diner and skimmed the room. No Virgil. He went up to the counter, because his friend was on his shift. “Emilie, may I have a booth for two?”

“Oooh! Someone else is coming?”

“Well, I’m here for a date. Or I’m being blown over. Virgil is supposed to meet me here in 36 seconds.”

Emilie and Logan walked to a table when an alarm on Logan’s watch went off.

“Well, he has 2 seconds to sh-“ That was when the wind chimes on the door whistled, a crying Virgil in the doorway. His hands were covering his face, but Logan and Emilie could tell he was crying.

“Well, your date is here.” Emilie said while walking over to serve another table. Logan walked to the door, already in tears.

“Sorry if I’m late. Dee wasn’t very happy when he heard that I was going on a date with you. He thinks you’re stuck up and a goody 2 shoes.” He said, not removing his hands from his face. Logan began to lead him to their booth.

“Patton was just as upset. He thinks you will break my heart.”

They had reached the table. Virgil sat down quickly, hands still covering his face.

“He didn’t hit you, did he?” “Virge, move your hands.”

Just as Logan had expected, under his dates tears was a red hand print across his left cheek.

“Emilie! May I have some ice?”

Once Emilie returned with the ice, Logan wrapped it in his pocket square.

“Virge, come on this side.”

Virgil was now sitting right next to Logan, head tilted down in embarrassment.

Logan placed the ice on Virgil’s cheek.

“Em? Can we please have 2 black coffees and 2 blueberry scones?”

“Coming right up!”

“Mmmmm. You know, I’m glad we defied them. This is probably the best date I’ve ever been on.”

Virgil then rested his head on Logan’s shoulder while they were waiting for Emilie to bring them their coffers and scones.

“Did you know that they use my jam here?”

“Wait, you have a jam!”

“Yeah! 1 year and 349 days ago, Patton’s boyfriend, Roman, and I wrote a musical about how much we loved Crofters. They then made a jam called Logan’s Berry Jam.”

“That’s so cool! Can I watch it?!?”

“Okay, that’s great.”

“What’s going on in your life? Is Remus’ pet store doing well?”

“Ummmmm. I guess. Can we not talk about my family. I’m still a bit pissed off at Dee.”

“I respect your wishes.”

Emilie then interrupted with their food.

“Hello love birds! Here’s your stuff!”

That was when Virgil realized that he has laid his head on Logan’s shoulder. He shot up immediately out of embarrassment.

“I don’t like him THAT much.” Virgil said.

“Really?” Logan and Emilie said at the same time, in completely different tones.

“Lo, this is where you kiss him.” Emilie prompted, hoping Virgil hadn’t heard. Logan started blushing.

“Yeah Lo!”

If Logan was blushing before, his face was a tomato now. He was so embarrassed and excited at the same time.

Virgil sat up and Emilie walked away. Now he really had to kiss Virgil. He slowly lowered his face to Virgil’s when Patton and Dee walked in fuming.

“Logan! How dare you go against me! Going on a date with a Dark Side! Why do I even try with you!”

“Well, Patton is obviously pissed!” Virgil said to Logan.

“Oh! Virgil! You thought you could go on a date without my permission , and just get away with it! You are fucking grounded for the rest of your measly little Light Side loving life!”

“Dee seems to be even angrier than Patton.” Logan said.

Luckily, Emilie intervened.

“Excuse me, but my boyfriend is incredibly strong and can easily take out customers who are causing a fight? And we wouldn’t want Remy to have to come, do we?”

Logan mustered up the courage to say “Dad, please go away. As you can see, I was about to kiss Virgil.”

Virgil then had a brilliant idea. “What if I moved in with you and your boyfriend and Lo. That would make me a Light Side, so I could date Logan. It also means that I’m out of the Dee’s house and he doesn’t have to worry about me.”

“I wouldn’t be mad. Anything to get that traitor out of my house.”

“I guess we could use another Light Side. You can join.”

This made Logan and Virgil VERY excited! They got to everything they wanted, at no cost! Or maybe... there would be a cost, just later

Using AI to predict Earth’s future A recent ‘deep learning’ algorithm – despite having no innate knowledge of solar physics – could provide more accurate predictions of how the Sun affects our planet than current models based on scientific understanding. For decades, people have tried to predict the impact of the Sun on our planet’s atmosphere. Up until now, algorithms based on solar physics have been used to predict the shifting density of Earth’s atmosphere. But with so many variables affecting the complex and dynamic layers of gases around Earth, Artificial Intelligence (AI) could provide real improvements in this area because of its ability to handle vastly more complex data, with important implications for how we fly missions in Earth orbit. The Sun’s a real drag The conditions in space vary depending on the mood swings of the Sun, known as ‘space weather’. The Sun spews out radiation in a constant stream, but it sometimes also sends out violent bursts of high energy particles that can directly hit our planet. These particles cause geomagnetic storms - temporary disturbances in Earth’s protective magnetic field. Earth’s atmosphere is also affected by these outbursts, as geomagnetic storms and increased ultraviolet light heat the upper atmosphere, causing it to expand. As heated air rises, its density at orbits of up to 1000 km increases, and satellites in the vicinity experience more resistance, or ‘drag’, causing them to slow down and shift orbit. ithout intervention, such as firing the thrusters to keep them aloft, satellites would slowly fall to Earth and burn up in the atmosphere. At mission control, we are routinely lifting the orbit of our fleet of Earth explorers. Improving these predictions would allow operators to plan longer and more accurate cycles of correction manoeuvres, meaning less thruster firings would be needed, increasing the amount of time satellites can spend gathering scientific data. Vitally, our knowledge of the future position of spacecraft would also increase, so we could predict more accurately the chances of collisions in space, helping us to protect our spacecraft in the current space debris environment. Atmospheric predictions Two important factors are needed to make atmospheric predictions: the solar index and the geomagnetic index. Both measurements are taken from Earth, and collected in several places across the globe. The solar index comes from what is called the ‘10.7cm Solar Radio Flux' – the amount of light emitted by the Sun with a wavelength of 10.7cm. ‘F10.7’, as it is also known, is an excellent proxy for solar activity, and because it can be observed in all weather conditions, measurements can be taken every day, come rain or shine. The geomagnetic index is used to characterise the size of storms in Earth’s magnetic field, caused by activity at the Sun. Such storms can severely disrupt electrical power grids, spacecraft operations, radio signals and of course the beautiful aurora borealis at the poles. “We observe the past, but we can only predict the future” says Pere Ramos Bosch, Flight Dynamics Engineer at ESA's ESOC operations centre. “We currently use an algorithm developed long ago, that takes the evolution of the values of the F10.7 and geomagnetic indices from previous years, as well as knowledge of solar and atmospheric physics, to make predictions for the next 27 days.” However, current predictions are in general pretty inaccurate. Although we haven’t lost a mission yet, our lack of understanding of how atmospheric density changes is the largest source of error when it comes to flying satellites in low-Earth orbit, such as the Aeolus wind mission and Sentinel series of Earth explorers. Could AI make a difference? ESA is now testing an entirely different algorithm that uses the same measured data from the Sun and Earth, but ignores physics altogether and instead employs ‘deep learning’. Teams are hoping it will use its ‘Long Short Term Memory’ to recognise complex relationships and patterns that we humans just cannot detect. “We are about to start getting results, but it looks like AI is proving to make the best use of data available,” says David Remili, a Luxembourg National Trainee in ESA’s Artificial Intelligence and Operations Innovation Group who has been tasked with developing the AI prediction tool. “It's a privilege to be given the resources to combine AI and astrophysics, and ultimately to positively impact how space missions are flown.” So far the AI tool seems promising, but stay tuned to find out which algorithm better predicts the future, and whether we can use these new computing abilities to better understand the interactions between the Solar System and our home. Solar warning ESA's future Lagrange mission will keep constant watch on the Sun. The satellite, located at the fifth Lagrange point, will send early warning of potentially harmful solar activity before it affects satellites in orbit or power grids on the ground, giving operators the time to act to protect vital infrastructure. The mission will advance our understanding of atmospheric dynamics. It will also provide much-needed information to improve weather forecasts and contribute to climate research. The satellite carries a single instrument: a Doppler wind lidar called Aladin. This sophisticated instrument is designed to probe the lowermost 30 km of the atmosphere along the satellite’s orbital path. Comprising a powerful laser, a large telescope and a very sensitive receiver, Aladin will be the first wind lidar in space. In cloud-free air the lidar will probe the atmosphere down to the surface, or to the top of dense cloud. Data on winds will be ingested in weather models to improve forecasts. Improved weather forecasts have considerable socio-economic benefits. For example, Aeolus will help to improve the prediction of mid-latitude cyclone systems. ESA/NASA BOTTOM IMAGE....Space weather refers to the environmental conditions in space as influenced by solar activity. In Europe’s economy today, numerous sectors can be affected by space weather. These range from space-based telecommunications, broadcasting, weather services and navigation, through to power distribution and terrestrial communications, especially at northern latitudes. One significant influence of solar activity is seen in disturbances in satellite navigation services, like Galileo, due to space weather effects on the upper atmosphere. This in turn can affect aviation, road transport, shipping and any other activities that depend on precise positioning. For satellites in orbit, the effects of space weather can be seen in the degradation of communications, performance, reliability and overall lifetime. For example, the solar panels that convert sunlight to electrical power on most spacecraft will steadily generate less power over the course of a mission, and this degradation must be taken into account in designing the satellite. In addition, increased radiation due to space weather may lead to increased health risks for astronauts, both today on board the International Space Station in low orbit and in future on voyages to the Moon or Mars. On Earth, commercial airlines may also experience damage to aircraft electronics and increased radiation doses to crews (at long-haul aircraft altitudes) during large space weather events. Space weather effects on ground can include damage and disruption to power distribution networks, increased pipeline corrosion and degradation of radio communications. ESA

I have the second story in the soulmate au done and editing it currently. That should be published /by/ Saturday evening.

I am working on Moxiety currently as well.

I have gauge concepts for Demus in the soulmate au but they're so sweet.

Also the background OCs are being stubborn and demanding attention I might right stories for them too I don't know, if I do I may or may not publish them.

Blinded by Wrath's final chapter is being difficult but I am trying.

I am working on a companion piece to things are better if I stay it's much sweeter, but still kinda angsty

Soon to be published on here is a series I don't have a solid name for but is married Demus, dating Prinxiety and brotherly Logan, Patton and Remy. Background Remilie later on, Logan is poly pan, Patton is Aro ace and the youngest.

"Hey Pat."

I jump at the sudden voice, falling out of my seat and onto the floor. "VIRGIL!!!"

My son hops through the window and into my room, sitting on the window seat. Soon after I jump up from the ground and sit next to him. "Excited for Middle School?"

He bites his lip, turning to face me. "Anxious..."

"That's fine! Hey, how about we get breakfast then we can head out early to meet up with Roman!"

"How about we get breakfast... Leave on time, and not meet up with Roman?"

"Virgil!" I yell, slapping his arm lightly.

"Ow, I was just kidding!"

"Hehe, I know. Now, let's go eat!" I take his hand in mine and start walking downstairs. "Morning Dad, morning Papa!"

"Morning Pat, Virgil." Dad replies, keeping his eyes on the sizzling griddle.

"Sup Em, Rem." Vi says, taking a seat at the dining table.

"Hey, soon it'll be Mr. Sanders to yo-"

"Pat, Pat, Pat! Oh, hi Vivi! Pat, Pat!" Thomas runs towards me, almost tripping on his shoelaces in the process. He holds up a drawing of two little stick figures holding hands, one obviously being him and the other...

"Who's the other person in the drawing, Thomathy?" Vi asks, a smirk on his face.

"Uh- well... No one important..."

"Well it sure does seem important if they're holding your hand?"

"Uh... I gotta pack my backpack for school!" He replies, running off to his room.

Hm...

"Here you go kiddos!" Dad says, placing a chocolate chip pancake on both of our plates.

We quickly eat, grabbing our bags and heading to the door. "We're gonna go meet up with Roman! See you soon!" I call, unlocking the door and stepping out into the empty hallway.

Before closing it and locking it, I hear a faint, "Tell him I said hi!" I turn to Virgil, smiling.

"Let's go!"

"Heyyy, boyyys~!" Roman greets, fingerguns out and ready.

"Pump the brakes Princey." Virgil says, backing away in disgust.

"Now, now, Virgil. Be nice."

"Oh, do not worry Pat! For he is only playing hard to get!"

"I ain't playing nothing with you Sir Sings-a-lot."

"Aw, come on kiddos, let's head to school!"

"Fine!" The two middle schoolers groan before following their overenthusiastic friend in the direction of the school. "PfFT- Nice outfit, Princey."

"I know right! I only did my hair for an hour because I didn't have time since I woke up late and had to meet up with you two, but I did take a good half an hour to pick my outfit!"

He stopped walking, showing off his red sweater with a yellow crown in the middle, white jeans, and red sneakers to match.

"Huh, I just threw this together in the span of three minutes." Virgil said, suddenly feeling insecure of his patches hoodie, black shirt, ripped jeans, and purple hightop Converses.

"I can tell..." Roman muttered, continuing to walk along. "Well, are we going to school or what?"

Patton smiled, skipping along the sidewalk, Virgil following closely behind.

The walk to Mindscape Middle School was short and filled with talk of clothing, and fashion sense. Once they reached the doors to the school, the trio stopped, turning to face each other.

"Ok, on three, we push open this door that will lead to one of our greatest life-changing moments."

Virgil and Roman nodded.

"1..."

"2..."

"3!"

They pushed open the doors, marvelling at the sight of the school. Lockers against the wall, classrooms and student s everywhere!

"Ok... First class... It's Dad's class!"

"What does Remy teach anyway? How to make the world's most amazing cappuccino?" Virgil questioned, chuckling to himself.

"I'm pretty sure Mr. Sanders, teaches history." Roman replied, walking to the class number on the paper.

"Wait, do we all have the same freaking classes?" The emo asks, looking towards Patton.

"It's awesome being a teacher's son." Patton says vaguely, smiling in Virgil's direction.

"Ok, then may the class commence as we walk through door number two, of destiny!" Roman says dramatically, placing a hand on the doorknob and yanking it open.

Remily. Origins.

Who is the most affectionate? Ugh. Tough question and this is just number one. I think it’s really close, but probably Emily? She can be really affectionate with AO, so if that’s worth something is that she can be really affectionate once she’s in love.

Big spoon/Little spoon? Remi is the big spoon. Emily is the little one.

Most common argument? Simple. Is Hades a little shit? Yup, she is. Do we love her anyway? Debatable.

Favorite non-sexual activity? They don’t really have down time in Origins, right? But I can picture Remi resting her head on Emily’s lap while Em reads her a book? I’m not sure why, but it’s cute and that’s my headcanon.

Who is most likely to carry the other? Remi carries Em, it happens a lot when Em starts losing mobility and she hates it. But sadly, she can’t fight it.

What is their favorite feature of their partner’s? I’m gonna go very cliché and say their eyes. In Remi’s case because she’s a badass, right? And she is so detached and calculated at the beginning, but then her eyes become really expressive and Emily is in love with that. And Emily’s eyes are always full of intensity, either when she’s working and reading at light speed, or when she’s fighting Hades once again, or when she looks at Remi with so much love that it almost hurts.

What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other? Mira, they probably avoid each other because hell no. That person right there that you’re starting to love? Yeah, that’s probably an enemy and we don’t love the enemy. Other than that, they probably fuck where no one can catch them lol

Nicknames? & if so, how did they originate? I have no idea. I suck coming up with nicknames for characters. Remi would probably call Em Professor, just because it’d make sense later on. Much later. Emily would probably call her Winter Soldier, yes. That’s a Marvel reference, shush.

Who worries the most? Remi, Emily is human and dying, so hard not to.

Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant? Both. They’re very attentive people and remember each other’s orders no matter if it’s food or coffee or even that weird ice cream combination.

Who tops? ...I want to say Emily lol Tho she’s probably more like a power bottom.

Who initiates kisses? Both. Depends on the one that wants attention, but I can see Briggs being a brat and teasing until Emily closes the distance.

Who reaches for the other’s hand first? Remi. She needs to know and feel that Em is okay. And sometimes asking is either really annoying for the blonde or not enough.

Who kisses the hardest? Em? I think Remi is usually really gentle kinda like in crack, so I need additional info to change my mind.

Who wakes up first? Depends. If Emily is in pain she wakes up first. If not, then Remi’s alert senses make her wake up earlier than most.

Who wants to stay in bed just a little longer? Emily. The day doesn’t really start until you get up, and when you have limited time, she wants to spend some more precious time with her loved one.

Who says I love you first? Oh God. Remi? Don’t ask me why, it just feels appropiate.

Who leaves little notes in the other’s one lunch? (Bonus: what does it usually say?) Also Remi. Things like: “Don’t forget to take a break.” “Winn said he needed to update x thing, please make sure he doesn’t screw up.” “You look really good today, and no, I didn’t break anything this time.”

Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first? More than tell, they get caught making out in one of the most inappropiate places. Everyone sees them and they just shrug like: “So, we’re together, guys.”

What do their family/friends think of their relationship? AO are okay with that because well, they’re like that lol Hades WILL FIGHT IT. A.B. and Helios are babies that don’t see anything wrong with it. Jay is just like: “Can you stop making out in the bathroom? I really need to pee.”

Who is more likely to start dancing with the other? Em when she’s drunk. I don’t think Remi has a great sense of rhythm.

Who cooks more/who is better at cooking? Remi, she probably learned how to cook to avoid Hades blowing up their secret lair. Emily knows how to make pasta, and pasta...lol

Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines? In Origins? Remi. In crack? Probably Emily lol

Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear during inappropriate times? Both. They’re just aholes like that and want to win no matter what. Also, they don’t fluster easily so it’s always fun to see who gives up first.

Who needs more assurance? Emily, but it’s more in a really sad way. She wants to know Remi will be there for A.B., AO, Helios, Jay and Hades when she’s not there. She wants Remi to stay strong, and to know that Emily will love her until her final breath.

What would be their theme song? Illenium - Take you down.

Who would sing to their child back to sleep? Emily just because A.J. has a really beautiful voice.

What do they do when they’re away from each other? They tend to focus on work so they don’t miss each other too much, Still, they would send really soft texts when they have a break.

one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart: Remi is probably one of the only two that see the full extent of Emily’s pain as her condition worsens. Em is used to pretend and be strong in front of the rest, but she can’t lie to Alpha. And she can’t lie to Remi.

one headcanon about this OTP that mends it: Look, the only thing that actually makes it better is that Remi doesn’t have to see her die because Em doesn’t thanks to crack. Don’t know if that counts, but it’s the best I can do.
