i swear to fuck latin class teaching me that technically a vocative noun (ie. a name when someone is calling it) is supposed to be incased in commas is fucking destroying my fanfiction reading pleasure
because i keep seeing things like “Hello Larry, come help with this snapwobble problem”
and all my mind can offer
is that it’s supposed to be “Hello, Larry, come help me with this snapwobble problem.”

My 2 cents on the plot / thematic relevance of Ch 95
This is not about advancing Plot B or showing Anya's school life (which is still true but has been discussed), but rather the overall theme of education and war. There was an excellent post about how Eden is at the frontline of the cold war and it is subtly shown through the innocent lens of the first graders (I can't find it now, would link it if I could). And I think that perfectly applies to Ch 95.
Quick recap on some references about education/students/war throughout the series (that I remember at the moment):
Sylvia gravely condemning the Berlint University Student Terrorists during the Doggy Crisis arc (Ch 20) and saying "did you learn nothing about war at your university?"
Henderson talking about his experience as a history teacher (Ch 27.5, Short Mission 4) and quote: "Yes, well, I have always maintained that there is nothing to be learned from the memorization of time lines. From the grand efforts with which our forefathers crafted society to the foolish notions that sent them racing to war, to not study the human element at history's root is to not understand history at all"
Note that Damian's best subject has been established to be history, and his family (father) has been involved in war, at least Donovan was PM during most of the war (established by Melinda in Ch 91). Donovan is also a graduated Imperial Scholar (Ch 64).
The Red Circus group started out as a peaceful student demonstration "advocating for peace and quality" (Ch 72) and "speaking out to protect the weakest members of our society". And Billy Squire said, "We were a respectable movement that fought for our cause with respectable means. It was the state that turned violent against us. So I'm not taking criticism from a member of the establishment (referring to Henderson, an educator). I'm gonna see to it that they reap what they've sown." Billy's daughter Biddy was killed by the state at a protest.
Less of a point, but Becky is the daughter of the CEO of a major military manufacturer. Despite their very likely involvement in military conflicts because they sell arms, the Blackbell cohort has been depicted positively so far: Becky being a kind, wonderful friend to Anya, Becky's father doting on her, and Martha again being kind and dignified (and also being an ex-soldier and acquainted with Henderson).
Eden Academy is a major setting for SxF and the themes of politics, education, and war are embedded in it. The students involved in protests/groups are older (the university students, Billy's daughter), but the political implications remain even among the youngest of the students— the first graders.
Hence, Ch 95. When mere first graders are shown to fight to gain connections, which can be political as pointed out by Henderson: "In the world of politics, dances serve as major social events". But of course, they are kids, so they see it more playfully and innocently, especially Becky with her shipper lens on.
Of course, there is also the aspect of getting to know other people better out of interest (the boys asking Anya and Becky to dance because they were impressed after the bus hijacking). But as people have mentioned, nobody mentions this to Damian despite him being equally involved in saving the class (all three of them got a star). The girls aren't interested in Damian as a person, they're interested in him as an asset because of his family and their power.
And I can see the teachers trying to diffuse the tension and create camaraderie with their friendly competition. To me, this reads as the teachers fully realizing "the battlefield of political maneuvering", and they want to remind the kids to have fun, to show good sportsmanship, to unite the kids, to operate as a class and be friendly with one another, and overall make it more lighthearted. It's nice to see the classes work together and get excited / win as a unit, especially compared to the more "individual" bits of fighting for a dance partner later.
We get a bit of comparison between Bill and Damian, with Bill showing good sportsmanship while Damian scoffs at him. But Damian ends up becoming ultra competitive and telling his classmates to not screw it up.
Like the Dodgeball chapter, Damian is clumsily attempting to lead the class by doing good in his quiz, while getting stressed and yelling at his peers when they don't succeed like he did. So he's not really a good leader. Like how him being good at history does not necessarily mean he is good at being peaceful (Short Mission 4 ends with Henderson staring in exasperation at Damian + Anya bickering with each other). But obviously, he is merely a child, and he is naturally immature.
At first Loid is all for advancing Plan B and analysed Anya's suitors in a rational (reductionist?) way by ranking them in terms of gaining intelligence, but he remembers this is just a dance, Anya is a kid, and she should do whatever she wants. Loid (and the adults) are very aware of the political side of the gala, but ultimately they want the kids to have fun and not worry / worry less about politics.
Because they're kids! They'll grow up and learn more and be politically active later, but right now, they're just kids. Kids who don't know much about the world but are eager to make the world a better place.
In the end, we get a panel of Anya and Loid "teaming up" to win Damian's hand for Plan B / world peace. The Damian-Anya dynamic is cushioned with the silly crushy feelings, but underneath it, Operation Strix continues to be a core motivation.
I find it interesting that Endo chooses to focus on the first graders and their innocent view of the world / politics. It's embedded everywhere and especially in a prominent school like Eden, but the kids don't really realise it / realise the severity of it. Heirs and heiresses are educated at Eden and grow up to have incredible influence and the power to shape the world. Our protagonist's best friend comes from a family that manufactures arms. Henderson mentions the importance of learning history to avoid making the same mistakes (ie. war).
So Ch 95 is a cute prom chapter. But I think it also helps to show the themes underneath the fun, bubbly interactions.

A "MK is Related to the Underworld Somehow. Probably." List With Commentary (And I Consider it Evidence for EAMK)
Tumblr media
(1x08 Skeleton Key)
(LIKE CAN I PLEASE HAVE AN EXPLANATION FOR THIS SCENE. CAN I PLEASE HAVE AN EXPLANATION??? WHAT. WHY. WHY WOULD YOU EVEN GIVE HIM THE KEY IN THE FIRST PLACE.)
-
Tumblr media
(1x08 Skeleton Key)
(Idiot boy putting the skeleton key in his ear.)
-
Tumblr media
(2x03 Pig Pong Panic)
(MK + Bones. Never a good sign)
-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(2x05 Minor Scale)
(Is this perhaps just LBD trying to take control of MK? Maybe. Is it also really weird how her powers interact with MK in general? For sure!)
-
Tumblr media
(2x06 Game on)
-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(2x07 Shadow Play)
(Number one: The Lady Bone Demon wasn't here to provoke this, number two: MK using "blue vision" to see his friend's fate inside the lantern is equally strange!)
-
Tumblr media
(2x09 72 Transformations)
(Again, could very well be LBD trying to take control of MK here—however, it doesn't seem like she's trying to do much of anything to MK in this scene, as she's focused on spider queen. So it weirds me out and goes into this post!)
-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(3x03 Smartie Kid)
(So, if the stuff in s2 was LBD affecting MK then I get it. BUT THEN WHY HAVE MORE BLUE EYES IN S3 AFTER LBD HAS ALREADY "TAKEN" MK'S POWERS AND THE STAFF. Genuinely want to know what this was meant to imply.)
-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(3x12 The Corrupted King)
(LBD HAS ALREADY POSSESSED WUKONG HERE. Wukong and the Mech alone was spreading her too thin. She certainly wasn't attempting to posses MK here—so what was happening?)
-
Tumblr media
(4x01 Familiar Tales)
(The scroll ink touches MK not once, but twice this episode and it doesn't ensnare MK. The scroll touches Monkey King once and this is what happens to him: )
Tumblr media
-
Tumblr media
(4x02 Familiar Tales)
(The scroll's ink emanates from MK, which I thought was crazy at first BUT IT THEN HAPPENS AGAIN IN 4x11)
-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(4x03 The Great Tang Man)
(Soooo we see a vision of an all inked up MK, then we see the stone cracking, then we see a shot of the curse from 4x02, and THEN MK turns Tang Sanzang's golden power blue, a color associated with both LBD and the underworld in general. HM.)
-
Tumblr media
(4x06 Show Me the Monster)
(There's no hair flip so it's not MK, so it would make me think that this is an ink version of SWK next to the stone. It's weird so I'm including it!)
-
Tumblr media
(4x06 Show Me the Monster)
(So. Ink blotting out the sun, something MK/SWK are often associated with, and then pouring out of the cracked stone, which we just learned MK was born from. And then the curse takes MK's form. I'm tripping over my own conspiracy board here.)
-
Tumblr media
MK: "You're not my friend—you're NOT me!" Curse MK: "Sure I am! I'm your best friend, well, closest at least! I know more about you than you'll even admit—to yourself, or to others."
(4x07 Pitiful Creatures)
(The curse claiming it's a part of MK is weird! The curse looking like MK in it's most weakened state is also weird! It's all weird!)
-
Tumblr media
(4x08 The Brotherhood)
(Absolutely no reason for a weird teal smudge to be there, and yet)
-
Tumblr media
(4x11 A Lifetime of Mistakes)
(BOOM. SCROLL EMANATING FROM MK AGAIN.)
-
Tumblr media
(4x11 A Lifetime of Mistakes)
(The broken memories flickering in the scroll are very similar to the way MK flickers in and out of monkey form: )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-
Tumblr media
(4x13 Rip and Tear)
(Scroll ink touches MK again and he does not become imprisoned inside it again. The scroll at the very least has no affect on the boy)
-
And I think for now that wraps up this post!

by Gregg Roman
The Red Cross has once again failed the Jewish people by choosing to appease its enemies rather than help those in need.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in its mission statement, claims to be "an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance."
The actions of the Red Cross since October 7, however, show that it does not consider the lives and dignity of all victims to be equal. Instead, the Red Cross has fallen in line with those who refuse to condemn Hamas and ignore the atrocities perpetrated against Israelis.
This isn't the first time that the Red Cross has ignored the suffering of Jewish people to avoid offending those who seek to eliminate the Jewish people. The Red Cross has received three Nobel Peace Prizes, including one in 1944 for its services in World War II, but decades later, we know the whole truth.
Documents released after the war revealed that the Red Cross was well aware of the Nazis' genocide of the Jews and chose to remain silent. The Red Cross defended itself by claiming that if it had disclosed what it knew, "it would have lost its ability to inspect prisoner-of-war camps on both sides of the front." Although the Red Cross has apologized for its inaction in confronting the Holocaust, the bias the ICRC has shown against Israel makes that apology ring hollow.
Magen David Adom, Israel's official emergency service, was founded in 1930 and ratified as a National Red Cross Society by the Knesset in 1950. However, the Red Cross refused to allow Magen David Adom entry to the international organization because the latter wanted to use the Star of David as its symbol in place of a red cross. Even though Muslim Red Cross organizations use a red crescent as their symbol, Israel is singled out for refusal. Only after 76 years of life-saving work was Magen David Adom finally accepted by the ICRC in 2006.
The Red Cross has conducted itself similarly since Hamas took Israeli hostages. The Red Cross gained much acclaim for bringing Israeli hostages home after they were released. However, the Red Cross played no part in the negotiations that led to the release, and made no effort to visit the hostages while they were imprisoned.
This is in stark contrast to past hostage crises. During the Iranian hostage crisis, the Red Cross visited the occupied US embassy in Tehran. When 72 Japanese hostages were kidnapped by guerrilla forces in Peru in 1996, the Red Cross provided food and medical assistance. When New York Times reporter David Rohde was held by the Taliban in 2008, the Red Cross delivered him a letter from his wife. When more than 240 hostages were taken from Israel, however, the Red Cross did nothing.
The Red Cross responded to a recent lawsuit filed by Israeli hostages, which claims that the Red Cross neglected its duty to visit prisoners of war, by saying: "The more public pressure we seemingly would do, the more they [Hamas] would shut the door."
The evidence shows that the Red Cross did not try very hard. UN Watch compiled a report showing that the ICRC's social media posts were heavily biased in favor of Hamas, and refused to acknowledge Hamas' atrocities and the plight of the Israeli hostages.
When families of the hostages asked the Red Cross to deliver life-saving medications to their family members in captivity, they were scolded and told to "think about the Palestinian side" by the ICRC.
Since the beginning of the current war, the Red Cross has pumped millions of dollars into Gaza, along with supplies, infrastructure, and medical teams. Hamas, of course, has a long history of shamelessly stealing money and supplies that were intended for civilians, a fact that the ICRC knows, and, unsurprisingly, Hamas has continued to do so during this current war.
The Red Cross has both the leverage and the stature to gain access to the Israeli hostages and even to push for their release. They were even able to leverage the Taliban into granting access to hostages in the past. People listen to the Red Cross. But they also hear the Red Cross' silence.
When the Red Cross speaks about the Israel-Hamas conflict without mentioning Hamas' attacks, and its president meets with Hamas' leader but does not advocate for Israeli hostages, the message is clear.
The Red Cross' historical and current actions seem to suggest that it does not value Israeli lives as much as other people's. It is time for the international community to ask the Red Cross why it looks out for all of those in need, except for Jews.

Since I am discussing anime academia today, I was reading another paper that was equally frustrating, along a different axis:
“Do female anime fans exist?” The impact of women-exclusionary discourses on rec.arts.anime
This as a premise is a good concept; someone mining the 90's Usenet anime communities for how the fandom saw female fans back then (the article title is quoting one such thread). So of course, the opening line of this article about the anime fandom in the 90's is....sigh....a reference to Donald Trump:
Commenting on the 2016 American presidential elections, multiple news reporters noted that a relationship could be found between Donald Trump supporters and online anime fans
It of course goes on to discuss Gamergate, 8chan, online right-wing radicalization, references to the "Fascist" themes of Attack on Titan, and on and on. The obvious problem with this is that it is irrelevant; the "methodology" section involves this aside about how they pulled this data from Google Archives but Google is an advertising firm and not a replacement for a real archive and we need to Fight The System and buddy my dude that is not germane to your sample size!!! But more importantly, it is backwards. I don't need to explain the argument here in detail; the article is positing a throughline from 90's anime discourse to modern right-wing internet politics through a sort of 'lock-in' effect of built culture norms around misogyny. Which is fine, you can make that argument - but why is all this future stuff in the first section? You haven't really presented the argument yet! This isn't a book, its not the intro chapter - literally 30% of the text of this article is stating a conclusion upfront, justified not through the text itself but citations to other articles about its truth.
This is something media studies pulled from traditional science - traditional science states "established facts" up front that the paper is building on. But that is because - a thousand caveats aside - in chemistry those facts are....facts. They may be wrong facts, but they can, ostensibly, be objective descriptors. This paper cites "anime is still synonymous with far-right ideologies of white and male supremacy, and events of anti-Blackness" like its citing the covalent bond count of carbon. That is not and never will be a fact one can cite, that is an argument; and its not one that is important for understanding this analysis of Usenet groups. This structure is pulled from other sciences, but it flourishes because it lets you pad the citation count of your peers. Its embarrassing how often you can skip the first 1/3rd of a paper in this field - really the worst possible thing to copy from economics (ding!)
This paper also does the insane thing of jumping between citations from 1992 and events in the 2010's like anime culture is continuous between those time periods. Its an extremely bold claim it just does in the background... but lets set that aside.
This hyper-politicization & hyper-theorizing leads to the second issue of extreme under-analysis. This is the actual value-add of this paper:
From this search, I was able to find the discussion threads “How many females read r.a.a.?” (135 messages; opened on July 13, 1993), “Question: Girls on r.a.a?” (23 messages; opened on February 25, 1994), “Female Otakus” (221 messages; opened on June 25, 1994), “Women watching anime” (72 messages; opened on October 4, 1994), and “Female fans - Do they exist?” (61 messages; opened on October 26, 1995). While these discussions may seem like they were spaces for marginalized users to discuss their experiences, they were often started and overwhelmingly occupied by identified male users. In total, I extracted 252 messages from 1992 to 1996 that were relevant to the gendering of anime fandom, and among those, I classified them as 7 kinds of negative networking discursive practices: (e.g. Table 1. Negative networking practices on rec.arts.anime).
252 messages, five threads - later on it will name other threads, so its more than this, but you get it. It has a bunch of data. And from that data, the article quotes...less than half a dozen examples. There are no quantitative metrics, no threads are presented or discussed in detail from this data set. Some other event is discussed in detail, but again it quotes essentially one person once. The provided "Table 1", the only Table, is a list of the author's categorizations of the data; the data itself is not present. Its file format is a CSV, presumably to mock me for clicking it.
There is, from top to bottom, a complete lack of engagement with the data in question. This would fail an intro anthropology seminar; the conclusion is simply presumed from 1% of the sample size while the rest of the messages are left on read. I just don't think there is any value in that, a handful of messages from 1996 divorced from their context and stapled onto modern politics as a wrap-up. What did the people on this Usenet value? How did they think of women collectively? As anime fans, as outsiders, as romantic partners, as friends? What subfactions existed? Questions like those would presumably be the point of this investigation, but they are treated as distractions.
And this article was, in anime academic circles, a pretty well-trumpeted one. I'm not cherry-picking a bad one here, it was the "hot paper" of the month when it came out. Its just that the standards can be so low, its a field that simply lacks rigor. Which doesn't stop a ton of great work from being done btw, that isn't my point at all. My point is that the great work is not selected for; it goes unrewarded, bogged down by academic standards divorced from discovering real insights.
(I do not think the question "why are they misogynist" ever crossed the author's mind. That should be your literal thesis, and its a ghost. Just ugh.)

⤷ ✧ Ace and Deuce with the same crush
Gender neutral
- order 72 | Headcanon | Ace + Deuce
⇥ Cater+Trey ⇤
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are the worst! They are always at each others throats when it’s about you.
It all started because of Ace teasing Deuce about him having a crush. He was just joking he didn’t actually think Deuce had a crush on anybody but out of pressure he admitted that his crush was you.
“…”
“Wait, don’t tell me that…”
He didn’t need to finish his sentence for both of them to realize that they both like you.
Then again it was pretty obvious for both of them but they’re both morons so they didn’t realize until it was explicitly stated.
They argue a lot. They’re around each other all day. In the dorms, in classes, at lunch, they can’t escape each other. After they found out about each other’s crush, the arguing just got worse.
Eventually everyone (being you, Grim, Epel, Jack, and Sebek) told them to stop arguing over the littlest things.
They get so pissy about who gets to sit next to you. Ace will physically try to move Deuce or slide between you two any chance he gets.
You may ask, why can one be on the right and the other be on the left. Well, Grim is always on either side.
Istg they always push each other and they end up accidentally pushing each other into you.
Ace gets more possessive around Deuce which makes sense. Ace feels personally threatened because it’s Deuce.
Ace and Deuce get so competitive. They’ve always been competitive but it just gets worse. Honestly you can use it to your advantage.
“Whoever is quietest for 10 minutes gets ice cream.”
Then you get your moment of peace.
They’re gonna be with you everywhere they can. They will make any excuse to get in each others way.
Ace invites you to watch his game, Deuce is going to support his friend of course!
Deuce lends you a hand moving around some furniture in Ramshackle, Ace can help to!
When you all have sleepovers, Ace always tries to slid into bed next to you (of course Grim kicks him off). Then they both just sleep on the floor.
There are times where they join together and gang up against someone else. With Deuce’s outbursts and Ace’s crude mouth, they are very effective in chasing someone off.
Ace is really annoying because he’s ways asking which of them you like more. Not wanting to hurt feelings, you say you like them equally but with how frequently he asks you’re tempted to say Deuce.
The other first years all figured out on their own. And all of them feel so bad for you because Ace and Deuce are always fighting over you or around you.
Not to mention sometimes they pull up to Ramshackle without any warning.
I luv them so much I want more content NOWWW !!

Surprising Find! The (Old) Marvel TTRPG Is Pretty Dang Good!
The 2003 Marvel Universe Roleplaying Game* is written with a weird and menacing tone. It threatens 72 hours of consecutive roleplaying. It expects you'll play it as a pvp skirmish game. Half of the book is just statted out Marvel characters that it thinks you'll play instead of an OC.
And it's still somehow an incredible rpg.
To be clear, I have played and enjoyed other superhero rpgs. A lot of the big ones try to give you the freedom to pick whatever powers you want, and they do this by being very numbersy---which is fun, but they run a little slow every time those numbers get involved.
Marvel Universe dodges this problem by having you collect rocks.
Your character in Marvel Universe is a pool of stones that you can assign to different actions. You can even spam rocks on a bunch of actions at once---trying to stop the train and conceal your secret identity and ask that guy to prom---but you're usually able to spend them faster than they regenerate, so going big and loud and heroic in one scene usually means you're recuperating in the next.
There also aren't any random elements here. The effect of your action is purely equal to the rocks you spend. No dice. No cards.
And despite this, you still feel like you're pushing against something when you take action.
It's a bafflingly elegant design, and I think could work just as easily for settings like Werewolf or Exalted.
Now, the bad news is that, to my knowledge, no one is currently publishing this game. There's some used copies floating around ebay and the like, but there does not (as of 9/7/23 and according to my limited research) appear to be a rights holder actually selling pdfs or physical books. As best I can tell, it's abandonware.
So in order to get a copy a person would have to do something like google the name of the game and see if a pdf was being hosted anywhere---a transgression against social order that I could never personally condone. Still, if you do manage to find a Legitimate Copy, it's a cool read.
And who knows? This strange rock-hoarding game could become your favorite superhero rpg too.
*There is also a Marvel *Multiverse* Roleplaying Game which was published much more recently, but it's completely different and does not involve building little cairns on your character sheet.

Sun Wukong! The great demigod equal to the seven seas!
Tumblr media
This is from Moana AU, where Wukong is Maui.
Backstory:
When the universe was created a rock was born from it. Here it floated around for a while among the millions of stars and planets. The rock shined a bit but not as much as the massive stars- ilumanating the otherwise empty black space. So, it promised itself, deep, deep down, that it would one day shine as bright as them, somehow...
One day it ended up on earth where it crashed into the ocean, who immedatly took it in as a friend. The ocean strengthened the rock with its most gruesome waves from the mighty storms that would reach the gods. And it would shape it by the tides that would flood Islands and force the living down to the very bottom of the sea.
After a couple thousands years the ocean decied it was time, and the rock ended up on a small island in the Pacific Ocean. Here, it was found by the monkeys, that inhabited the land, and they sensed a form of familiarness from the rock. So, they took care of it, as a mother would take care of her womb.
But as time went on, a great storm took over the entire world. It raised the seas higher than they had ever been and caused many people their lives. From the death and chaos that illumanited the earth, the rock finally split open, the oceans finally calming down with it. Inside the rock, a monkey, like them, was found, and a simple but great time began for this stone monkey.
This, sadly, didn’t last long though. Starvation soon crept up on the small island, and soon fully took over it. It was killing their children and soon even the strongest of the monkeys, and when the nights came, too fast to keep them warm, the already weakend monkeys would die in the cold.
The stone monkey saw this, his family and friends all dying before him, and knew he had to do something. His eyes fell upon the great seas, that helped form his very bones, and soon great voyages, through the big sea started forming in his head.
Unfortunately, for him, the sea was, and still is, mysterious and gruesome to the unprepared. Monkey knew this. And soon, his plans about great voyages were dried out by the very Island that kept him trapped to watch his loved ones quickly die before him. But, unbeknownst to the stone monkey, someone else was watching him. The Gods.
They saw the greatness within the stone monkey, who was created by the very ocean itself, and decided to take pity on this small monkey. They gifted him a golden hooped staff, which the Monkey very creativly named “Ruyi Jingu Bang”, which gave him the power and knowledge to use the 72 transformations. That though would only be start of his soon ever growing strentgh as he, and many others, would soon find out.
Finally prepared for the unforgiven sea, he was abput to set of on his great voayges, when he was stopped by his closest friend, Liu’er Mihou.
Liu’er Mihou wanted to help his close friend and go on great voyages with him, and the stone monkey happily agreed to this, and soon, the two was sailing through the great oceans together.
On their voyages they would lasso the sun, who would finally agree to stay on the sky longer, kill a troublesome demon eel, who, buried, would later become coconuts for the monkeys to feast on, and soon everyone in all the oceans were praising, mostly the stone monkey, names.
The stone monkey was even given a name by a wise immortal, called Master Subodhi, who named him “Sun Wukong”, meaning “Sun who has awoken to emptiness”.
But, through all these great voyages, something else would start to grow, that would become even stronger than the mighteist powers of the gods that watched over them. Liu’er Mihou and Wukongs Bond, which was already quite strong. And soon, the monkies would start to call eachtoher much more than friends, both promising each other that it would last forever…

So how big does the inner circle need to be in order to put those four points on one straight line?
It turns out to be about 38%. But this is math. We want to know exactly how much and we want to know how to find the answer!
Let's consider the bigger circle a unit circle, so R = 1. Then consider this triangle.
Tumblr media
Ten equal sectors define the entire 360°, so they're 36° each. The center-touching angle of this triangle encompasses 2 of those sectors. Therefore, 72°.
Unfortunately, I have to use cosines now. Those who fear trigonometry may want to look away.
Cosine equals adjacent over hypotenuse. We defined the hypotenuse to be 1, because it's a unit circle. So the cosine of 72° is the height of that triangle divided by one. Or just the height of that triangle. h = cos 72°
Now lets look at this slightly different triangle.
Tumblr media
That's only 1 out of 10 equal sectors that make up the entire circle. That's a 36° angle. And the cosine of that one is the height of the triangle (the same as the other triangle) divided by the radius of the inner circle — exactly we're trying to find! cos 36° = h / r But we know what h is. cos 36° = cos 72° / r Now we solve for r. r⋅ cos 36° = cos 72° r = cos 72° / cos 36°
That's the exact answer: cos 72° / cos 36°
If you throw it into a calculator, you'll get something like ≈ 0.3819660112510519363...
Like I said, about 38%. Or 38.197%, if you want to be pedantic. Which I hope you do.
And if you don't want your stars straight... that's fine, too. Every star is perfect for someone. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

I noticed an interesting thing, it seems that in the very beginning the forces were equal. Six kings and six Seraphs.
Six kings were crafted by Lilith, the seventh one appeared because he fell from the heaven. I think Lucyfer was most likely a seraph. So, him, plus one unnamed seraph who was killed by Gabriel and the other killed by Beelzebub.
It's also an interesting little thing that two sixes, which are considered sinful numbers, became two holy numbers - three and seven, in Bible meaning completeness and perfection. I know king are just taken from Binsfeld's classification of demons, but still, i like to headcannon it as a symbol that both devils and angels are different but equally good in god's eyes.
By the way, I'm curious if if we have 72 devil nobles from Ars Goetia, will we get 72 angel nobles from Shem HaMephorash.

yourusername welcome to my postgame penalty box update: i’m going to be a sap because of my best friend edition! this was a heartbreaking loss, but quinn kicked some serious ass tonight. in his postgame interview, he went on to explain why this game wasn’t their best. i’m not going to argue, but quinn, my favorite hughes of the day, you were really hughesing tonight! (warning: this next part is zero silly goosing and pure love babies)
during his 28:33 minutes of ice time, my best friend scored the opening goal of the game 6:06 into the game! jamie has photographic proof that i immediately burst into tears at this from pure joy and pride. this was his sixth of the season, for real this time, so this goal gave him his 70th point of the season! he is continuing to beat his points in a single season for a d-man in the canucks record!
quinny baby’s second point of the night came in second period at 18:26, where he got his 65th assist on brock’s goal! once again adding to his record point season!
here’s where it gets extra special: quinn’s third point of the night happened at 19:06 in third period. how did he get this third point? WITH ANOTHER GOAL BABY!!! LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN!!! my best friend scored the equalizer and brought the game into OT! i cried even harder this time, and trevor did NOT have a fun time with that! (i’m not sorry)
to summarize: quinn now has 7 goals, 65 assists, and 72 points this season! he had his second career multi goal game, and has beat his previous record of most multi point games for a d-man in a season for the canucks’ franchise to 20 to 21 games! happy quinn hughes night everyone! all of this on the four year anniversary of his first nhl point! and his fourth game without a penalty!
shoutouts: brock also had a three point game! and kuzy got two goals and is now 2nd for the record of most goals by a first year player, behind austin matthews who had 39 goals! and burroughs!! he threw hands!! blood was drawn!! z has video evidence of me cheering!
i’ve never been prouder of you, quinn, and i’m so lucky to call you my best friend. i love you!💙

i still think about that one video about guda's trash heap theory so wild??????????? ashfglakdfb i wish the mushroom would give more information about it already. iirc it was 2 hour ish? yes im a very normal guda fan who goes so far to watch a 2 hour documentary/theory about my favorite self insert protagonist but tldr (+some notes i found in my discord server since i forgr the youtube link and i have to search my history later) is basically goetia's plan of incineration burned the concept of not only life but also death which led to the "aftermath/wreckage" of death having nowhere to go but the only living human of the present who is always present at rayshifts. along with that aftermath/malignant information (grudges of the dead and their wishes) it went to guda and mash as evident in their shared dream together in scathach interlude. regular clean up is necessary when it comes to these malignant information that SHOULD be processed in the underworld. then as ogawa heim was mentioned dantes' purpose in creating the pseudo singularity was a place of rest for dead spirits with nowhere to go since goetia of course recruited him with the thought of "there is no underworld for these spirits to go. thus i will have the count of monte cristo make a singularity from the tower. create a waste pit for those spirits to dwell in" but of course gankutsuou hates goetia but goetia again made a prison tower/hunting ground modeled after the chateu d'lf to eliminate guda and again that didnt work since king of the cavern fell for guda and thus a remnant of him remained in guda's "trash heap"/"waste pit" as someone who regulates it. again since dantes betrayed goetia, goetia decided to use the demons to control the waste pit itself since someone HAS to regulate the trash heap no matter what or else if it overflows even goetia knows theres bad consequences. and after fujimaru defeated goetia and the 72, no one else was managing phh's waste pit anymore. so of course fujimaru's own "trash heap" would have finished its roll. but of course that wasnt the case. the theorist says that all humans have these "trash heaps" (evident by mash and guda dream share in scathach interlude) but only guda was a special case because they are far more exposed to singularities + the "soul" of mankind was lost in part 2 prologue, guda's own trash heap was turned into phh's waste pit. so its not guda's anymore. its no longer guda's "personal" property. normally, it should be the underworld to handle the "malignant information" but as the original underworld of phh was gone from the incineration of humanity, ogawa heim was destroyed, and the demons handling the trash heap was also gone, it had nowhere to go but the human closest to the action, closest to death's door themselves, closest to all these ghosts and these souls. they also mentioned something from lord el melloi's adventures? im not familiar with it but its an interesting phrase. "a person can only forgive one murder in their lifetime. but most people would use that one instance for themselves to accept their own death." "if one person were to kill another with emotions beyond their control, that person would bear the same degree of emptiness. and that void would be equal to one human being." which also means that the "trash heap"/"waste pit" of a human is only enough to house the self's own "malignant information"/"curses". so in regard's to guda's waste pit, it is no longer theirs since the accumulated curses keep flowing into them. their trash heap has become like that because its the effect of the earth's bleaching.

AKIVA VAN KONINGSVELD
Slightly more than three in four Palestinians have a positive view of Hamas in the wake of its Oct. 7 terrorist attacks in Israel, according to a survey by the Arab World for Research and Development (AWRAD) research firm.
The Ramallah-based institute polled 668 Palestinian adults in the southern Gaza Strip, Judea and Samaria between Oct. 31 and Nov. 7. (The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points, AWRAD said.)
The Palestinian poll—the first of its kind since the Oct. 7 attacks—found that 48.2% of respondents characterize Hamas’s role as “very positive,” while 27.8% view Hamas as “somewhat positive.” Almost 80% regard the role of Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades “military” wing as positive.
The Al-Qassam Brigades killed more than 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and wounded thousands in the Oct. 7 attack on southern Israel. In addition, terrorists took some 240 people hostage.
When asked whether they supported or opposed Hamas’s actions on Oct. 7, 59.3% of the Palestinians surveyed said they “extremely” supported the attacks and 15.7% said they “somewhat” supported the murderous spree.
Only 12.7% expressed disapproval with 10.9% saying they neither supported nor opposed the attack.
Almost all (98%) of the respondents said the slaughter made them feel “prouder of their identity as Palestinians,” with an equal percentage saying they would “never forget and never forgive” the Jewish state for its ongoing military operation against Hamas.
Three-quarters said that they expect the Israel-Hamas war to end in a Palestinian victory.
In response to the question “What would you like as a preferred government after the war is finished in Gaza Strip,” 72% said they favor a “national unity government” that includes Hamas and Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah faction.
Approximately 8.5% said they favor a government controlled by the Palestinian Authority.
In addition, more than 98% of Palestinians surveyed by AWRAD hold negative views of the United States.
On Nov. 8, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Gaza must be handed over to the P.A. following hostilities. The solution “must include Palestinian-led governance and Gaza unified with the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority,” stated Blinken.
During an Oct. 18 visit to Tel Aviv, U.S. President Joe Biden delivered a speech in which he claimed that “Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people.”
AWRAD said that “the poll’s sample includes all socioeconomic groups, ensuring equal representation of adult men and women, and is proportionately distributed across the West Bank and Gaza.”
