It's weird that they changed her hair colour to black to 'adhere to DC canon' when in the comics, Sindella's original hair color is blonde and in Justice League Dark #35 they coloured her hair black but given how little of a role she plays in the comic, it was most likely a colouring error:

Then again, JLD comic doesn't give a shit about any part of Zatanna's life that's not somehow connected to Constantine.

And YJ, for all its claims of being true to the comics, handled Sindella in a very disappointing way. Relegating her to a victim of cancer when in the comics she is heavily tied to the Homo Magi and her people are also the origin of the term. Really jarring in an arc about the origins of Homo Magi. I will always say, there is a lot of untapped potential in the story of the mother and daughter forcibly separated whilst the latter is so young and their reunion to end in tragedy.

WTF - I had never noticed this before but now that I have it has made my entire day!

I love this show... you could just put some regular scissors there - it really doesn't matter - but Weisman's like - NO! MAKE THEM A CHARACTER... love it!

Though this does call into question - are the justice league just never prepared for anything...? How hard is it to remember to bring the fancy ceremonial scissors to your own event?! They probably had to put Plas on the league because they were always forgetting shit...

Anyway... this genuinely made me laugh...

I’m so ready for Batman to find out Jason’s alive in the next season of Young Justice so Flash can run into the speed force and get Wally cus he’s not gonna be the only one in the “my protégé/close family member is dead doing the job I trained them to do” club.

Seriously though, I feel like when they find Jason after the whole Conner debacle everyone is just gonna be in a “death isn’t real” mindset and figure out how to find Wally and bring him back home.

Personally, I hope they don't go with Zatara as the Doctor Fate in future adaptation. There are enough Doctor Fates to choose from in the comics.

Plus, Fate and Zatara are ultimately two different flavors of magic that I think are better left separate than mixed.

I remember when the show was on and I was scratching my head trying to figure out their creative choices with the Zataras and finally realized that all of it was predicated on the fact that Zatara debuted in the same comic as Superman did and the shows need to consolidate and streamline the DCU as much as possible leading to some odd choices at times. Hence why they combined two prominent Golden Age magicians, Zatara and Dr Fate, into one while still keeping the OG Kent Nelson around. Then later shifted gears once Khalid took off (but still didn't fully commit to him being *the* Dr Fate).

Unfortunately, by simply shifting her father's place they ended up upending Zee's own history. That approached culminated in season 4 where Zee felt like a guest star in her own arc. Based on Greg Weisman's responses to fans regarding S4, he seems to believe on a subconscious level that writing for Zatara somehow also counts as writing for Zatanna as well. Hence why he didn't agree that Zatanna was sidelined in her own arc like the rest of us did. It didn't really develop Zatanna so much as it did facilitated the development of characters around her. I felt that the question of whether she should or would let someone else take on the mantle of Fate to save her father, should have been the driving question of the story, not something left dangling at the end of her 'arc'.

I’m just thinking about what if Brion had nightmares after his parents died and while he was living in the Premier Building he’d wake up screaming and the Outsiders would be there to comfort him. After he killed his uncle and stole the thrown there was no one there to help him shake off the nightmares

Apparently HBO Max currently have no plans for Young Justice Season 5, BUT that doesn't mean the series has been cancelled, just that it hasn't been renewed yet. The future of the series is uncertain so let's go keep hope and hope for its renewal 🥲🙏🏻. (Cause if the worst happens I take zaslav with my own hands)
