Hey songbirds! Mod Paris and I would like to apologize for our lack of activity, especially considering all of the exciting news as Hadestown opens on Broadway. We are just two busy theatre nerds and running this blog can’t make it into our schedule most of the time. I’m not going to speak for Paris, but personally I (Mod Ollie) am a high school senior just trying to graduate!
Because of this, we have decided to add some of YOU GUYS as moderators onto this blog to help us run it! We are looking for dedicated fans who want to help promote and share the beauty of this show through the blog.
Mods will:
reblog relevant posts in the hadestown and worldofgodsandmen tags
keep up with social media updates from cast and creatives, repost these updates
post photos, videos, and news that are released
generally make sure this blog stays active
If this sounds like something you’re willing to do, you can apply HERE! Applications will close May 10, 2019 at 5pm PST. We will choose up to 5 moderators over that weekend. Please only apply if you’re dedicated to keeping up with this blog and care about keeping it active.
It would also be great if anyone selected has a social media besides Tumblr that we can contact you on to make a group chat for the moderators. Mod Paris and I will brief anyone selected on our tag system, and we will also be sure to update the HTML of the blog (which hasn’t been changed since Edmonton, lol), since moderators are unable to do that.
anaismitchell Much @hadestownrepresentation at the @tcg_gram gala! Stunning 📸s by @emiliomk for @broadwaycom : Eurydice, Hades, Our Lady & me, & the Spirit of Jujamcyn / Kerr Theater
Eva is playing Eurydice! I updated the text for everyone confused in the notes. Playbill made a mistake in the article and because I’m short on time I didn’t proofread it before posting. I apologize for any confusion.
Noblezada (Miss Saigon) and De Shields (The Full Monty) will take on the roles of Eurydice and Hermes, which they played for the first time in the London run. The other three had previously taken the stage in the Anaïs Mitchell piece in earlier incarnations: Page (Saint Joan) as Hades, Gray (The Great Comet) as Persephone, and Carney (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) as Orpheus.
Additional casting will be confirmed at a later date.

jordanshawuk: I’m really not ready to say goodbye to these people and this gem of a show. Hadestown has been an incredible experience from beginning to end - honestly never felt like this at the end of a contract. “We’re gonna sing it again” - one last time tonight before it heads to #Broadway 🌹 #Hadestown #NationalTheatre #MusicalTheatre
reevecarney: Can not believe we have already reached this day... A bittersweet day. So much love for all of these people, and for The @nationaltheatre... 🙌🏻❤️🙏🏻 🎶 It’s an old song... It’s an old tale, from way back when... It’s an old song... And we’re gonna sing it again... 🎵❤️ @hadestown
rachel.chavkin: Last show of @hadestown @nationaltheatre WILD LOVE for this company onstage and off, for this astonishing building and the humans who make it go. Thank you. And see you at the Walter Kerr. #Closing
livevamaria: ...like no other. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you all. My heart hurts with joy looking at this. I’ve never been more fulfilled and uplifted in a show. I will never forget this group of magic humans.
“As long as we stay with each other, than it will always be like this.”
