having a quiet life is so.. underrated. i don’t mean it in the sense that people who’re open and loud and busy aren’t important, but when our culture has significantly put so much emphasis on the definition of success as fame, extraordinary accomplishments, greatness and importance and excessive wealth, i think there is so much power to be found in our own anonymity. in the silence of life. in not being constantly perceived, analyzed and performing for the world. in being able to take a walk, smile at strangers and just notice the world without all that noise. taking the biggest pleasure out of the smallest joys, like a cup of coffee or blowing out birthday candles. knowing that our lives don’t have to be a grand spectacle for others in order to have worth and cause a good impact.

why I decided to stop creating video content for IG & Tiktok...
6 months nung nagdecide ako to concentrate on my business and do nothing than build the foundation of my business (e.g. social presence, creating a website, product development, finance, etc.)
For the past 3 mos. I grow my business social media account organically (though hindi sya ganun kalaki. I also tried follow back method T-T which I stopped doing), and I make use of the free IG ads credits (kuripot!). I created content just what social media gurus are talking about, been researching day and night thru youtube & tiktok how to make my content engaging and napagod ako. I chased algorithms, high engagements, and reach. and I realized I don't want to do stuff like that anymore. Ni hindi nga ako active as social media ko, the only reason I have social media is because of my business. I don't want to create free content just to have an engagement with bot accounts (charot!). I want to make business.
Social media is a powerful tool to grow (mainly if you want to become influencer and be known) pero inuubos nito oras ko and I can't even start my souvenir catalogue because of the ever-changing algorithm these social media have just to make their consumers stay on their apps. You cannot even target your market properly (unless you pay for ads). I think I can recreate my business without focusing on social media, do trial and error, explore whats working and not.
then bakit andito ako sa tumblr? I've been using tumblr since college. Like I've been using it for reblogging pieces of stuff I like (like Pinterest), and then life happens. Tumblr is a platform where you do whatever you want, there is no trend to follow (I think), and you can just give a little piece of yourself to the world. no pressure at all!
yun lang. some bluff. 🤣
