Hello! Do you have any headcanons for Aedion's mom? I feel like people rarely talk about her and I was curious to see your thoughts

All right kids. You asked for it yourself.

✨ Her parents died when She was pretty young, so She (as well as her son) lived with Glaston and Evalin and was pretty close to her cousins up until a certain point.

✨ She is nameless. She was, is and will be. I will never dare to name Her, no matter how much I want to (even though I am tempted to write to Maas from time to time at all costs and ask about it. In fact, I don't think it's so impossible). Nevertheless, I think Her has a preternaturally simple but not obvious name beginning with A.

✨ She (like Aedion) is fascinated by parrots.

✨ She loved peaches and pomegranates, as well as their flowers. One day Gavriel found this out and on their last meeting gave Her one. She made a herbarium of it.

✨ She was fascinated by the sea and even had a little water magic. One day She showed it to Gavriel. In response, he only smiled gently and kissed Her palm.

✨ She started the relationship with him as a joke. To make Glaston angry. But something went wrong. She loved him with the purest love in the world.

✨ I also think She was severely depressed.

✨ I have a picture in my mind of how bad She felt after broke up with Gavriel. Maybe one day, when I will be in a really bad mood and want you to suffer, I'll write this. Pray that it doesn't happen, because She probably had suicidal thoughts often. Even when She had Aedion, who became the meaning of life for Her.

✨ Let's talk a little bit about Her before She met Gavriel. She was far more well-bred than Her son and niece and (I have no illusions about the demands placed on her, and I take the British royal family as a benchmark), but she allowed herself to swear and do some mischief. And She got away with it every time.

✨ She never expected to live happily ever after. She always thought that She would marry a nice but rather uninteresting man who would not dare to limit Her in anything, live to be thirty and what would happen after that She could not imagine.

✨ Towards the end of Her life She suffered from paranoia, but for Aedion's sake She tried sincerely not to show it.

✨ She had no regrets about dying. She was sure She had lived a short but good life. After all, She never wanted to be anything other than just a good person who did everything right.

Bonus: I think she looks something like Jennifer Aniston.

A bit of writer's pain. For a week now I've been trying to write out a scene in a new chapter of BT that I can't seem to get through, and I'm slowly coming to the realisation that it's better to skip it altogether. Over 1,500 signs and several hours of wasted time and work in the rubbish. Love it.

Can we talk about how much of a musical family the Galathynius were?

Aelin could play the clavichord, Aedion could play the violin, they often went to the opera (and I'm pretty sure Evalin sang beautifully and Rhoe could play something too). I really like to think that sometimes they would get together and just enjoy music. I think that may have been the thing that bonded them all and partly made them family.

I suddenly have a question. What is Aedion’s fucking accent? Rowan is known to have a Wendlyn accent and Cadre has one too. We were repeatedly told the accent of Aelina, originally Terrasen but also Adarlan.

And Aedion...Aedion is Wendlyn. We weren’t told where he lived until his mother’s death, but I bet on Wendlyn. And then he moved to Terrace and later moved from camp to camp all over Erilea. So his accent should be very... composite? Well I’d pay a lot to know for sure.

I’m definitely not a wonderful pitterpatterpot but I want to write one of these ideas and I will do it.

So I'm rereading Crown of Midnight and Aedion isn't in this book. But I'm wondering what he is doing.

Does he know the king has a champion?

Does he know it's Celaena? Is he kind of a fangirl for her? I mean he is a fangirl for the Cadre.

What would have happened is the king ordered Celaena to kill Aedion. Aelin: "you have to fake your dead or i have to kill you" Adion: *surprised pikachu face*

Is Aedion plotting to kill the kings champion. Or thinking of a way to convert her to his side.

So much potential for a good fic. Not that i'm going to write it, but I would verry much like to read it. So to AO3 I go.

I'm writing something now and it's struck me again. Gavriel's relatives were probably told of his death by his bastard son. Or Rowan, who had been his bf for centuries and suddenly became king. Or Aelin, Fire-breathing bitch-queen, who was also suddenly their distant relative. In general they probably didn't have a chance to attend his funeral or know what happened in the first days after his death. Who told them this horrible truth? Did they? And did they care? I don't know. I don't know and I want to weep that we will never know more about Lion of Doranelle and his family, his brothers. That it ended this way.

Watched a TikTok that theorized that Lucien is Feyre’s knight, like Aedion is to Aelin or Hunt/Ithan is to Bryce.

It blew my mind, especially now that I finished my first ACOTAR reread.

Not trying to be anti-IC, but the fact that they kept the pregnancy risk from Feyre and Azriel’s insubordination towards Feyre’s command always bothered me, making it seem like they like her but Rhys just ranks higher than her. Especially when Rhys commanded Az that her word is as good as his.

However, Lucien has always been there for her, supporting her to the best of his abilities. I think that the way they can have harsh discussions and still not hold on to that resentment is a big indicator of just how deep their friendship really runs.

I just remembered being so bothered about why Lucien was absent from speaking up for Feyre, but maybe stationing him in Spring and using Tamlin was a way to keep him distracted. If there was anyone who would react to Feyre not having a say, it would be him.

I have a theory that Rhys was extremely disappointed with Lucien in ACOMAF because he saw how Lucien repeatedly risked his life to help Feyre, but that’ll come later. Maybe.

So yeah, I already know Lucien is going to play a bigger role, so it’ll be interesting if he ends up taking on this kind of role.

I just realized a very funny and strange thing. If Gavriel were a mortal sin, he would probably be Lust. Lorcan would be Wrath. Connal would be Pride, Rowan would be Sloth and Fenrys would be Gluttony. I’m done. Move on, sleep easy, but don’t forget this shit.
