hello!

i’m back from my christmas break ❤️

while i was gone, i finished one of my courses! i wrote an analysis on the development of language and also my literature essay. i actually enjoy writing, it’s just the process of getting to the point of writing that frustrates me.

✨twas another library day✨

i did laundry in the morning and then waddled to the library on something like solid ice roads covered in water. and surprisingly harder than that was to get any work done cause we chatted so much with my friend from school, but we were proud at the end of our session.

i prepped for my literature essay, recapping how tf to write a good essay (i know i should just know it by now, but recapping helps to form a good structure for the needs of a specific essay, so don’t judge, ok) and then i took notes from the poetry collection to support my ✨agenda✨

tomorrow i’ll finish the brainstorming for the essay, and go back to write the text analysis and then move on to writing the essay!

library day. i only have 2 assignments left of one of my courses and i spent the day studying theory for one of them. analysing text is not my favourite thing so yeah, i need some structure before diving in.

the other assignment is the literary essay, which i’m hoping will be mostly smooth sailing! tomorrow is another library day and i’m so ready to just stay home for christmas after that <3

so i finished my speech! it turned out pretty good. little controversial maybe but not too much… also i’ve started another assignment and it’s also quite a big one, about how the finnish language has changed in 200 years. you’d be surprised, the change is VAST.

also, i made my desk look a bit better with a new cover cause it was just way too dark for me atm, and now it’s such a better vibe for me

🌜i’ll probably still study during christmas, at least a bit. like it’s really looking like i need to but i don’t mind 🌛

i’ve been doing so much research to finally finish my debate opening, it’s been taking forever. i’ve also been sick for the past couple days, and i’m almost well again so hopefully the next day i’ll get everything done..

i’m currently a bit overwhelmed with everything i need to get done, but i’m trying to take it one step at a time <3

today i had to go buy milk and then i got pretty far on my assignment for a debate opening! i also took some time for myself for gaming and it was refreshing as opposed to addictive 🤭

it’s been such a long, rough year, and i’m only now slowing down and really feeling it, but i’m trying so hard to not let it ruin me and my family’s christmas time. i need to learn to deal with things as they come and not always at once like this.

on sunday morning i finished the text for the writing competition! i’m happy with it. i’m happy with making the effort to finish it and sending it it.

i’ve been focusing on school a lot, but also doing some christmas prep cause there’s not that many days anymore, you guys!

so this tuesday i finished the second assigned book for my literature class and also finished the analysis. that’s that for that assignment, phew. i made some notes on the next part of the course, which includes writing a debate opening. the subject isn’t my favourite but seeing what other people have done i’m confident i can do great on it.

i’m trying to get back to daily posts right away, i’ve just been incredibly stressed about everything lately ❤️ keep on being amazing, everyone!

saturday was almost a day off, we went to see grandma and i read some of the novel i’m trying to get through, and i wrote almost fully the analysis i’m meant to be writing…

alright, to sum up the week, i am still struggling to finish my current 3 courses, i’m going to need the next week to actually finish them.

during the week i finished reading one of the two assigned books and finished the analysis on it. also i got halfway the other book i’m reading.

i did some assignments during the week, today i got a couple done. i wrote one of the best texts i’ve written in a long time, in my opinion. also read it to my mom and she was slightly impressed by my use of the word monochromatic. i told her i only knew the word cause i learnt it first in english… i know it doesn’t sound like a lot, but i’m slowly getting back to my roots and learning to appreciate my mother tongue more!

also sidenote: i almost finished my draft of the competition text. i’m not super proud of it, but i think my goal is just to get it good enough to send it in. taking part is often the first step.

the day was a slow kind of tired day. i’m putting way too much effort into everything. sure it results in amazing grades but still other people act superior and are praised as such because of their ”faster pace”. i just need some time for myself now.

today i got some assignments done; 3 literature/mothertongue assignments, read a couple chapters, and a health education assignment.

i had also forgotten about a writing competition i wanted to take part in, and the deadline is in 4 days, so i spent some time writing for that before bed!

the morning went into making a study plan for the week. i’m way behind on my 3 courses, so i need to overwork the whole week to try and get them done, and finishing them might actually stretch to next week, but i’m doing my best! anyways i want to start new courses before christmas <3

i finished the analysis in the poetry collection series i was reading, so yay. and then i read the other book i need to read, i’m just somehow making no progress with that.

and i made some notes about an author i need to do an assignment about, hopefully i could get that done tomorrow, as well as plenty other assignments. the idea is to drag myself to the library in the morning <3

today i wrote the analysis on part 2 of the poetry book i’m reading, and finished reading the last part of it!

also i did some more christmas shopping and bought a new notepad. i’m in love with the 5x5 graph paper so i had to get a new one and omg i think this might be the best notepad i’ve ever had…!

in the evening i wrote notes on how to write a literature essay, because… well, i have to write a literature essay. i’m somehow very excited for the process! (and i’m secretly quite happy how the notes turned out)

today i finished reading the second poetry collection on the poetry book i’m reading for school, i didn’t manage to write the analysis on it yet, so gotta do that tomorrow.

i did write some analysis on the novel i’m reading for the same course tho, i’m about 1/4 of the way through that book, and i continued it a little. i’m thinking it might take a little time, since i need to study some other subjects as well, but that’s fine. i think i will refer mostly to the poetry collection in my literature essay.

also on other news! i organised my desk, and i’m going to buy a new notepad tomorrow, so i’m pretty excited for that!

i have this CRAZY DREAM of finishing my studies in a year… i am slow and i have 32 courses left so it might not be possible.

still i am ready to take on a 365 day productivity challenge 🤧😩😭 bless my clueless heart

i know i always mess up my 100DoPs but i actually need to get the courses done now so i can move on with my life so this is for real. i’ll be honest every day will not sound glorious or productive but i need the small stuff to add up in the end so i’m willing to wake up a little early on a day off to put the work in, or study in the train or bus, or take the time to study before bed, whatever will take me closer to my goals.
