Diving In...
Over the last few days I have been totally immersed in the final edit for The Mystery of Folly’s End. I’m not sure how it started, but once I dove in, I couldn’t leave it.
From struggling to do everything, or finding the proper time for this important stage, I have completely rearranged my working schedule. Which has, unfortunately, played havoc with everything else.
I have missed my internet…

I Guess we’re not in Kansas Anymore… #WindyWeather
I Guess we’re not in Kansas Anymore…
Our weather excelled itself yesterday afternoon. Torrential rain, hailstones and tornado-strength winds. Several parts of the country have experienced falling trees, roofs being blown off, and power cables snapped. Cars and even a caravan have been tipped over.
The tall gum tree in our back garden was being torn every which way, and it was an incredible…

Downtrodden... #Poetry #TheSundayWhirl #Wordle 650
Downtrodden
My memory is hit-and-miss
It flies in and out like many
broken twigs on the forest floor
As I sit beneath a willow tree
I wonder where the divine is,
in the pattern of my life
I think He gave me the leftovers
and then washed His hands
I feel the blood of my ancestors
flow through my veins
They have no voice to guide me
I have no crystal clear thoughts
As to where my life…

Things are Coming together...
I couldn’t get my brain moving yesterday, and luckily, Anita came to my rescue with a thought inspiring poem. Today is going to be a more productive day for me, I’m sure.
Do you remember the project I started recently?
And how it was going?
Well, things have changed a lot since then… and what happened over the weekend really cheered me up!
This great grandmother is very happy!
I must finish…

Time Unspoken... #Poetry
Rock, sea and sky, what more could I ask for
The stillness, oh, the stillness
Where birds dare not fly, the air undisturbed
My heart slows in memory of a time unspoken
The quickening begins as I step into the salty sea
My mind invaded with primitive thoughts
An old-time movie, how long has it played there
How many minds have changed, standing here?
Did they notice time playing before…

Our #Six on Saturday at Last!
Thanks again to Jim at Garden Ruminations for another inspiring post!
a twenty year old crab apple bonsai
This was one of my non bloomers last year. Since altering the pruning method, it has given me four flowers! More next year please?
a very special camellia
I didn’t think this camellia would flower this year, due to the appalling weather conditions, but finding this windswept flower was a…

Walkabout…
forget me nots
I went walkabout in the garden yesterday. The rain had stayed away, and I was curious to see what, if anything had been happening.
It seemed like ages since I had been out there, as the weather has been awful, so, had anything bothered to bloom?
I was most surprised and very pleased to see the beginnings of gorgeousness in every corner. There will definitely be another #Six on…

Methuselah... who's he?
Last weekend was a family weekend, where we all met at our house for a get together.
We had a lovely time, and this adorable orchid was a gift and has taken up residence in my office.
It has been making me smile every time I look at it…
You may have noticed that I have been among the missing for the better part of this week.
I haven’t been ill, even though sometimes I think I must be.…
