ummmm yeah this. like ok we all know that andrew was portrayed as a character with low morale at the start of the book but considering he has also been through similar things idk it just pissed me off sm LOL like ok sure ur fav is andrew but he still drugged the man 🙁

People that hate Nicky for what happened during the first Eden’s scene in tfc but say nothing about Andrew really drive me up the wall. Like personally I choose not to acknowledge that scene as canon but if you’re gonna call Nicky an evil monster for kissing Neil, maybe hold the same energy for Andrew who not only horrifically violated Neil’s consent and autonomy by drugging him but then didn’t even bother making sure nothing happened to him while he was high out of his mind in the middle of a fucking night club. Like genuinely the whole scene is horrific and so fundamentally misrepresents both Andrew and Nicky as characters but people are so hypocritical about it that it makes me feel crazy.

I feel like there had to be some point early on in Andrew realizing he liked Neil where he just went “Really? This? This is what I’m into? This is my type? What does it say about me that this is my type?”

And I feel like there had to be at least one session with Bee where he tried to get her to psychoanalyze why his brain would do this and she was just like “Well it sounds like he listens to you when you talk and you like that, and he makes an effort to talk with you even if you don’t make it easy which shows he sees you as having intrinsic and unconditional value and being worth effort, and he cares for your well-being beyond it’s worth to him which is nice, and he cares for people you care about and helps you protect them, and he makes you feel trusted and understood which are values you hold.”
