I’ve been meaning to make something related to this song for a while now. Finally sat down and came up with an idea and put it down on paper. I don’t know how I did it so quickly with school and all. But I’m really proud of this!

This Taylor Swift song, My Tears Ricochet, details an obsessive character going to the funeral of their obsession. In this case, both Obi-Wan and Anakin can be framed as the attender, depending on when you set this story. I decided to focus on both. The relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin is a paradox: both an unbreakable bond and frayed rope at the same time. The coming storm and consequential turmoil is written in the sand, easy to erase, but untouched by those who could make change. Neither can find it within themselves to talk to the other intimately, despite the fact that both would die for each other. How easy it is for someone to twist it, for the two themselves to twist it. What a tragedy to behold, molded by the very characters involved. The death of Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi begs for reflection and the path that had led to this point, and the actions that pushed both to the brink.
